10 Places To Visit In Fujairah

Fujairah is a beautiful city located on the east coast. If you are planning to visit the area and going to spend the holidays there then don’t forget to do the following things during your trip.

1.Al-Bidyah Mosque

Al Bidyah mosque is located about 35km north of the city. It is one of the next 10 things to do in Fujairah. The ancient mosque is decorated with arches and has ventilation openings. Plus, it features mihrab and a large prayer hall. The central pillar of the mosque divides the inside space into 4 squares having equal dimensions.

 

2.Fujairah Fort

The historical building was built in 1670 and depicts the history of the UAE. The fort is divided into three sections, two round towers, one square tower, and different halls. Moreover, the fort reflects the heritage of ancient Arabs.



3.Al Aqah Beach

For underwater enthusiasts, it is the best site to visit. Present at the north of Fujairah city the beach is crowded by the rocks and the area is known as the snoopy island. The Gulf of oman is an ideal place for scuba diving. The mesmerizing surrounding views, clear water, and comfortable weather of the place make it best to do diving and underwater activities.

4.Bithnah Fort

Bithnah fort is about 13 km outside Fujairah city. The fort has a bulky golden stoned wall ad edged with the chunky circular watchtower. Moreover, the fort is surrounded by palm grooves and the jagged mountains. Thus, it is a wonderful place for tourists. You can spend 3 to 4 hours exploring the inside and outside of the fort.

5.Hajar Mountain Wadis

Hajar mountain Wadis. is another lace of interest for most tourists. The rocky area is known for its wadis. the best thing for the tourist is the wadi bashing activity, it is the four wheel driving or hiking around the wadis and exploring the area. The beautiful wadi os the are wadi Saham, Wadi ham, and Wadi Maidaq. The stunning mountains, and comfortable environment all make it favorable for the tourists.

6.Sheikh Zayed Mosque

It is another fantastic site you should visit. It covers a site of three football pitches. Moreover, there are present six minarets that are 100 meters high.

7.Fujairah museum

If you love to see ancient collections and artwork then the Fujairah museum is the best place to visit. Here you will find bronze and iron age weapons, pre Islamic silver coins, and carved soapstone vessels. Moreover, you will also find traditional cultural items.

8.Al Hayl castle

The castle has been built for 250 years. It was basically the defense area of the state. Militants guard Fujairah against the attack and do patrol at this place. These forts are scattered all across the hillsides of UAE.

9.Masafi

It is a village located at 33 km north side of Fujairah. It was the trading and refueling stop. It covered the largest town part of the Fujairah. It is famous because of natural springs and produces natural spings. Moreover, it is an excellent place to buy antiques, earthen products, local handicrafts, and carpets

10.Awhala Fort

This is a unique fort that has thick and high walls. It is an ideal place to visit. The highlighted thing of the fort is the circular watch tower and narrow windows to view the surroundings.
