As far as weddings go; Joyce, Mary Lou, & the San Vicente Golf Resort staff were incredible! Their hard-work, generosity, patience, & kindness gave us the most perfect wedding we could imagine! Everything was so easy, beautiful and stress-free! Not only is the venue gorgeous and affordable, it includes the ceremony, reception, delicious food, & the sweetest/most helpful coordinators (Joyce & Mary Lou)! Us & our guest had a wonderful time and we cannot speak highly enough about everyone who helped made that happen

DiamondBrewReviews

Can’t give a fair review because apparently these fairways are Bermuda grass And allegedly Bermuda grass is “dormant” in the winter months which basically means it’s dead So the pictures show green beautiful fairways and when we arrived it was hard brown grass

If what they say is accurate the summer months would be great for this course Bunkers and greens recently renovated Greens are very challenging Good service (didn’t see a cart girl though) Would try again in the summer to see if this would become a 5 star course But for February it is not

grace storm

Our prior plans fell through and we ended up here! It was nothing but amazing for me and the four other ladies I was with The rooms were fantastic, the two places we ate/drank was very reasonable and very delicious! The front desk staff was so gracious and heated up all of our leftovers for us We will definitely be visiting this place again

Thank you so much!!!!!

From check in with Leanne and all the wonderful information she gave us I could tell it was a well run Diamond location We were provided hiking locations, wineries, restaurants and even town directions as well as resort amenities and activities The room we reserved was spacious and well appointed and you can clearly see pride in maintenance and managing of this wonderful gem nestled in the hills of Ramona

The surroundings are gorgeous and the peaceful slice of heaven quite attractive for those looking for a quality location that has nice rooms, a gym, activities, pool, racquet and pickle ball courts, video check out and so much more Thanks to the staff at this location for providing a quality experience and also sharing the information and amenities that made a bid difference Also a note that Francisco and the maintenance/cleaning crew are amazing and wonderful peopleHighly recommended

Miss Valerie

We checked in this afternoonThe studio is such a great place You get your own kitchen (with all you need to cook, pan, plates, wine opener, dishwasher), living room (with fireplace) and bedroom

The bed is super comfortable and the bedroom very cute with its own TVThe bathroom is basicThe pool is heated at 82F and the hot tube perfectly hot We swam and enjoyed the hot tube in the eveningYou can do tennis, basketball 🏀 They have treasure hunts for kidsAnd the beat part the parking is freeSo really this place is awesome when you need a getaway from the world and LA

Mad Habitz

If we would have stayed a whole week or done any of the activities then we would probably give it a five star rating We only stayed for a couple of days and didn’t get to spend much time at the resort As for the room / condo/unit it was large spacious and very well accommodated but not the cleanest

There was dust under the bed and in some other areas which accounts for the docked star But I have recommended to friends and family that this is a great place to stay and very kid friendly as there is lots of activities on their list Honestly I can’t wait to stay here again due to his secluded location from the city and reminds me of home up north

Nice quiet Resort Resort Our two bed apartment was well equipped very clean and quite large

We also had an electric BBQ on the patio Two very large bedrooms with a family bathroom and one en-suite A short drive to San Diego but a great place for exploring This resort does stand out even though there may not be the same level of facilities that larger resorts have The staff are pleasant friendly and very helpful

I am here with my family trying to enjoy the holiday with my children My suite is infested with ants I have reported this issue 3xs

I recorded a video, because it’s like 20, 30 ants There was hair in the tub and on the toilet seat I took pics The front desk staff is rude and dismissive to me They have not offered to change my suite, and I’m very disappointed in my stay here 😔Update: The manager, Chris, is unbelievable He told me to put Windex on the ants, and left a bottle of Windex outside of my suite The front desk agents, DJ and Sienna, were very unprofessional towards me when I checked in I contacted the agent that booked this suite for me (who has incredible customer service skills) they tried to resolve the issue with this room We are still waiting to change rooms It has been over 4 hours DJ told me that the AC is out in the other suite that they were going to change my family and I into I am pregnant and high risk and this is highly unacceptable Everyone does not receive the same level of customer service here

STAY AWAY! At all costs We arrived super late (around 11:30p) to check in only to find they were over booked/no rooms left I have spent 2 solid days trying to get my money back

They, particularly Manager Rose, refused to refund twice even though services were never rendered She refuses to contact Manager Enedina who was the overseeing manager that weekend to confirm the overbookingI’m still working to escalate to get over $400 backThey have even denied that they were overbooked that night Horrible, dishonest Security cameras clearly show we arrived after 11pm only to be told there wasn’t a room for usPlease do not stay here

Worst Hilton property I’ve been in Night personal is rude…I believe his name was Victor!! The only hotel I’ve been in where there’s no house keeping at night

Anything you request, you have to go down and get it and when requesting towels you are limited and when asked for extra comforters, he says that their house keeping has no access to it because it’s in the storage room What the heck!!!!?!?? Not a friendly staff!! He greets guest with no spirit!! Instead of us staying for two nights we only stayed one night…I couldn’t be there any longer with that eyes rolling every time he sees me!! Some guest were trying to be friendly and so was I but he was straight RUDE…I don’t recommend this place at all!! Sucks because honestly it’s a nice area Eatery and shopping are near as in walking distance just sad that we had a bad experience

Carlos Danger

No one informed us when we booked this room that we had to do our own housekeeping in our room & get our own towels soap etc Plus the room that I was accommodated for a chair in the bathtub because of my disability was facing the pool where there were a lot people & noise in the pool which is understandableI’m not blaming the guest, but the hotel staff should have made me aware

I would have turned it down& completely cancel the reservation had I known we had to do our own housekeeping They’re not paying us to clean our own room then we should get the room at half price for doing housekeeping staff work& BTW,when you first arrive in hotel parking it’s so small and so congested because there is In-N-out burger at the same location where as you know a long line from drive-through which you can not get in and get out in the parking space it’s very frustrating Granted it they have parking in the back, but you don’t know being there first time until you go inside and they tell youplus it’s your option if you want to park in the front instead of in the back but you can not because of the congestion of the Lines at the In-N-Out working like I stated Because I like the handicap parking space which are only available out front they don’t have them in the back

I stayed here for a work trip, just looking for somewhere peaceful to relax after hectic days The hacienda is really lovely and the team all very welcoming It definitely feels like you’re staying with friends (friends with a gorgeous home!)

I sat on the veranda at the pool to work in the afternoon (much better than the office!), and weekday rates even fit within my travel budget Keep in mind, this is a home It’s not a corporate hotel and has the little idiosyncrasies of such Yes, you can hear people in the hall, there’s not a restaurant so you’re on your own for food, the space is a bit dark if you show up at night- but everything comes together for a way more interesting experience than you’d get at a chain This is definitely my lodging of choice next time I’m in the area

First off customer service was terrible Called before arriving and the lady on the phone was very rude Wouldn’t answer any questions I had

Said she wasn’t working and couldn’t help me Then on arrival front desk lady brought us to the room and that was it Didn’t show us the keys Or say anything Besides that the outside grill in the pictures of this place was off limits for guest And we were expecting to the use that for our dinnerThe fan above our bed was hanging by the power wires Room was dirty Didn’t look like it’s been vacuumed Blood stain on the bed pillow and the side of the bed coverPool was dirty Lots of dead bugs and stuff floating around Hot tub was off and even more dirty Once we turned it on it started to smell of sulfurWouldn’t recommend this to anyone The fan alone wasn’t safe We had to just leave because it was unsafe to sleep here And weren’t offered a refund

Wow… SO GLAD to have found this lovely “Homtel” (yes, I am making up words) My fiancé and I stayed there 1 night in mid-March ‘21 and found everything about it to be wonderful We truly felt we were in a friend or family members’ home

It was so quiet and calm We felt like we had the pool, hot tub, and grounds all to ourselves and they were all beautiful (which makes sense with only 7 rooms) This time we enjoyed the Merlot room and loved it’s private balcony with a view of the pool and grounds We left feeling super relaxed as we had been made to feel so welcome by Joseph and his crew that we encountered Patty, Ann and Rhonda were all equally supportive, kind and attentive in a way that just makes you want to go back again Within 2 weeks we had dreamed up a reason to come back for a couple more days of soaking up the hospitality, serenity, and peace in the quiet area of Spring Valley We are thrilled to be staying in the Champagne room starting May 6th Do yourself a favor book it now, if you can, and add yourself the list of fans!!

My family of four and I were pleased with our stay here, located right by Mainstreet Walking around and finding a great place to eat and shop nearby was excellent The police station is the building’s neighbor, so it felt secure to walk at night

The staff is amicable! The pool was always at a warm temperature, and we enjoyed that while out on a night swim Beautiful Patio next to the pool as well

Natalia Jeanie

Love this place The staff are always extremely polite, courteous and more than helpful I wish the house keeping staff spoke a lock of English bc it’s really frustrating when they’re the only ones available and they have absolutely no idea what it is that you’re asking for or needing

The communication barrier is a huge road block and very unfortunate other than that very clean, great breakfast and free parking!

I have never been up here although I am a San Diego native Went up with a group of friends and really enjoyed ourselves! The rooms were really really nice, and the pool was calm on the adults only side of the willows resortAll the bartenders in the casino were extremely friendly and we also ate at The upscale restaurant inside

I’ll review that separately Will definitely go back!

Sam Barboo

We have been several times for day visits and also stayed overnight in the hotel once All Casino staff have been pleasant and friendly Hotel staff were likewise professional and courteous

The lines/wait times for the restaurants are a bit long but the food and service are fine Of the casinos in southern San Diego I enjoy it the most The outlet mall is, however, underwhelming as far as outlets go All in all, if you are looking to have a fun time handing your money over to a casino (because, let’s be honest, almost everyone loses more than they ever win), then this is a recommended place to do exactly that with a smile

Alondra Gonzalez

Oh my goodness! I stayed three nights here & I had the most amazing stay! I had lost my Louis Vuitton bracelet on Saturday and found out when I got home Sunday I called and filled out a form on their website and they found it the next day & was able to pick up with no problem (also has shipping arrangements) The hospitality was amazing and the food was so good! The pool was refreshing

I highly recommend staying here

They went all out to create a beautiful hotel and casino that would not only satisfy locals but those with above average taste The design of the buildings are very elegant and the property layout is well planned Service was of a very high standard

The moment you turn into the property, you are greeted by a guard waving and welcoming you, Valet is available or feel free to find your own parking spot There are plenty of spaces due to the size of the property A walk through the hotel on the second floor takes you to the casino entrance Everything was very clean and the casino is non smoking Plenty of beverage carts to serve you as well I wasn’t so lucky today so I did lose some money but I had fun trying to win

Justin M

Stayed three nights here and loved it! The resort has beautiful grounds, including a couple nice large ponds to sit by and watch the wildlife, a large walk-through rose garden, old farm equipment, and moreOur room was on the first floor and had a nice patio We could walk right from our room in the morning and drink coffee by the pond with the ducks

The employees were all very nice and accommodating The room was large and cleanLots of restaurant and food optionsWe did lose everything we brought for gambling, but the casino is huge and has lots of slotsWe will definitely be back!

Renae Flack

We always enjoy going to Barona and have been treated like family there for years The staff is wonderful The hotel is really nice

The food is very good, especially excellent in the steakhouse We love the Indian frybread in the cafe! We especially appreciate that they are staying smoke free in the casino It makes the time playing in the casino so much more pleasant It’s our “go to” place in the San Diego area

The staff was very friendly during the check in It was in a location near the highway and a few restaurants There was a 7/11 within walking distance for drinks

The pool was clean The towels in the room were stained but about what’s expected from a Best Western The room seemed clean otherwise The internet was good enough for work and the TV had lots of channels

Rita Arreola

It looks like a motel not hotel I have stayed at other Best Western & they been decent This one is terrible

The room is stuffy, it smells, the sliding window doesn’t lock When I turn on the cooler it’s loud & has a weird stinch It’s very loud outside The front desk clerk hardly speaks English I asked for my reservation to be adjusted the front desk attendant refused I had no choice but to stay in this horrible hotel
