I came here as a teen now I’m an adult here with my husband and kids it’s exactly as I remembered maybe even better The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful The wash room is very clean and fairly cheap to use

I love the rustic look It’s very clean and smells amazing in here The beds and pillows are so comfortable Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker Everything about this place is perfect The Texas shaped pool is awesome A small fenced doggy area with a swing The steak house right across the way with some rocking chairs and bench swings Staff was very friendly and welcoming there as well Food was very fast and fresh We ordered chicken fried steak, ribs etc perfect Gift shop has so many options at a pretty fair price The same rattle snake from as a teen is still there and well taken care of It’s all around a very cozy experience and I can’t wait to come back

Sheryl Beyer

Great place with lots of “western” ambiance They are in the process of updating rooms, so you can get a good price on a non-updated room and the updated “deluxe” rooms aren’t a whole lot more We had a non-updated room and friends had an updated room

The differences were a full size Keurig and a variety of pods as well as real mugs There was also a charging station as well as fridge and microwaveIt also had new tile flooring The older rooms had the little single serve pots with the round pods It also had a microwave and fridge and very old carpet It was a touch pad entry with a code they sent by text on the morning of arrival, which meant no check-in at the front desk and a simple reply to a text to check out Staff were very friendly and helpful Of course, next door was the Big Texan Steak house serving a 72oz steak dinner with the option of it being free if you eat it all within 1 hour A wonderful gift shop, ice cream bar and fudge are also sold there Lots of fun!

Melody Pitts

We chose to stay here as we were passing through from Georgia to Denver The atmosphere, staff and cleanliness of the rooms were amazing The staff went above and beyond to give us tips about local attractions including breakfast and a local coffee shop

They even texted us to see if we were pleased with their recommendationsThe rooms were tastefully decorated in western decor Beds were comfortable and the Big Texan Restaurant was superb Anytime we are back this way we will definitely stay here again So much nicer than the big name cookie cutter Hotels

I’m torn on this review The hotel itself is gorgeous The corner king room is amazing

so quiet There’s neat historyand the speakeasy is so cool And the valet ladies at night are nice as can be But THE BEDS SUCK! The mattress is hard as a rock, and I couldn’t sleep past 4am because I was in so much pain I really didn’t sleep much at all We’re here for 2 nights, and I’m dreading this second night

Katie Adams

Wow! This place was amazing! Hotel had a great restaurant below it and a great deck to have a drink on We were traveling to San Antonio with our kids and dog and needed a place to stay This was the best hotel we stayed at in a while

Staff was super friendly and the hotel was clean and beautiful There is normally plenty of parking on the street so you don’t have to valet if you don’t want to but its an option

Dean Rudolph

Easily my new favorite hotel in Amarillo! I’m In town for a couple months of work and initially meant to stay a few nights just to check it out It’s been such a great hotel experience that I’m now on my second week here and will be extending for a few more weeks The entire staff from management to the servers to the valets are very friendly and attentive

Everything on the dinner menu is exquisitely delicious (I’ve been diligently working my way through the menu)and both the lobby bar and the speakeasy in the basement are excellent with outstanding bartenders who truly know their craft Whether it’s just one night, a wekend or long term, this hotel is a must experience My only regret is that the rooms aren’t as spacious for long term visitors needing workspace compared to other few hotels I’ve previously stayed in

I stayed in the Residence Inn Marriott for 55 month until our house was finally built The staff is outstanding

Maintenance is outstanding The rooms are taken care of every day The pool was taken care of as well and always had clean towels availableIt’s nice to always feel welcomed 🤗 If you are looking for a hotel for the night, week or month you shouldn’t look any further This is the place to rest and relax!

The staff was very helpful however the experience was the worst I have had at Marriott It was a hot travel day and wanted to cool down in a nice room so picked the higher costing room as Marriott has never let me down To room was 80° upon entry

We had to leave the door to the common area open to the hallway and use a fan that staff brought to us to bring cool air into the three areas We were able to get room down to 72 but not until after 8am the next morning The pilot light on fireplace was on and I was told they keep on all year One of the two bathrooms was plugged up so good thing we got a double room and two bathrooms Most of the furniture was damaged including the phone to call the front desk The oven looked as if it had not been cleaned in a month We attempted to use the pool and hot tube but both were at temps opposite of what they should have been and we did not stay long Since we were traveling with children this was a big disappointmentI am very hopeful that our experience was a once in a million experience as I enjoy staying at the Marriotts however it may be a while before I pay extra when I could have gotten the same experience at a low budget hotelThey stay was apologetic for our bad experience however they were not able to provide anything except minor fixes for our immediate stay

Cheryl Spriggs

My husband and I are silver elite members and we stay at a lot of Marriotts while we travel The staff here has been so kind and welcoming They went above and beyond by gifting us a small bag of goodies! After we got settled in our room, the front desk called to check in on us and made sure we had everything we needed

At breakfast, all of the staff greeted us and were so friendly While this is an older hotel, it’s been very accommodating for our quick stay, especially the cozy suite with our animals Great pet policy and not too expensive!

By far one of the best hotels I have tried here in Amarillo Booked a king suite for one night and I was not disappointed with the room sizeThe room came with a sofa, king bed, fridge, table, big screen and some standard hotel stuff

The room size and price was reasonable The down side was the restroom was pretty small, but the jet cuzzi bath made up for itThe pool area also was a bonus Specially with that big hot tub and decent pool size Hotel was very clean and well worth the money I personal recommending calling the hotel first and booking your roomThird party sites will get you booked but possible not have a room That is the reason why my wife and I ended up here But was not disappointed, also it is right next to the mall and all outlet storesWorth the money!!!

April Schmitt

Staff was helpful and nice Bed was a little firm for me but had a padded topper that helped The room was clean

The shower keeps it from 5 stars; the water pressure was inconsistent and the side of the tub was very high making it hard to get in and out of This issue would make me request a handicap accessible room if I stay there again

L. A. Patschull

VERY SAD Comfort in Room was as expected but run down Parking lot had several vehicles with people just sitting in them

No real parking spots near the hotel building Employees at the desk were on their phones in the open and not taking care of customers Totally lazy staff Someone spilled a clear soda in the elevator at nightit was a sticky mess in the morningstill not cleaned up at check out My reservation was supposed to come with a hot breakfastno hot food except a Texas shaped waffle from a not so clean counter Breakfast area was dirty and not well stocked at all Cheaper Motels are a better choice WASTE OF MONEY Stay elsewhere if possible

We’ve been on a two week road trip, in a different hotel almost every night, and this is by far the best one yet We’ve never tried a TRU, and I’m glad we decided to this timeFront desk clerk was super friendly, check in quick and easy

The room was extra large, and we liked the “minimalist” look Plenty of storage with the closet bar, hooks, and shelf The bathroom was super large, the shower spacious, and plenty of hot water We liked the large containers of lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided The beds and pillows were comfy and the rooms quiet Best night’s sleep I’ve had in two weeks! The breakfast was good The lobby area was large and comfortable, and the pool table an added bonusI would definitely stay at this hotel again, and recommend it to others

Ruqayyah Khan

The shower door is so clean you can walk right through itThe hotel is very clean and well kept Smartly designed to have only functional furniture like a rolling TV tray that is the perfect height for sitting on the bed

The rooms are a bit in the smaller side, something to consider if you’re traveling with kidsIt was very very comfortable when on a road trip Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, large squeeze bottles of soap and shampoo Hard wood floors in rooms which are nice because you know they’re easy to clean, but they can be a little cold in the morning Water dispenser for refilling reusable water bottles Breakfast was delicious Staff very friendly Pool table in lobby for guest use

Scott Ward

Newer property with updated rooms The property focuses on a minimalist approach and decor Very comfortable rooms and plenty of amenities, including breakfast and coffee each morning

I particularly liked the tile floors in all rooms It gave a very clean and comfortable feel I also appreciated the refrigerator in the rooms Would definitely recommend!

We brought our Student Ministry to this hotel while on our way to camp Stopping with almost 100 people to stay somewhere can be pretty overwhelming, but Jasmine (who was working the front desk) was completely ready for us She was super organized, had our rooms separated out, cards ready, and showed a ton of patience when helping our students buy their drinks/snacks from the shop in the hotel lobby! She even made sure that there were fresh chocolate chip cookies waiting for all of our students and had no issues when they wiped out the whole tray

She alone made this an incredible stop for our group and we greatly appreciate her!

A decent and clean hotel The front desk person was cool and helpful We reached the hotel by midnight

The front desk person gave us free water bottles The room was spacious and clean The breakfast was hot and had good options too The check in and check out was smooth The Hampton is very near to I 40 intersection, which makes it easy to locate while on the road The lemonade tasted amazing The hotel was cleaned multiple times and we can definitely see the cleanliness of the hotel here and there The breakfast place was also cleaned multiple times The trash was cleaned immediately I had a least hope on this hotel, but it definitely exceeded my expectations A good hotel with good hot breakfast The wifi was good and the bathrooms was super clean

Danielle Johnson

Staff at check in seemed pretty aloof I had called before and spoke with someone else that seemed very friendly, and upon leaving, staff was niceMy room was just ok

Water pressure sucked, the bathroom was all beat up, with shelves in the shower not well attached, and the flooring busted up in places The towels were old and thin Much of the room was very dated The TV situation still has SD channels and you have to channel up and down to get to anything Bed was also just OK Door was off frame so I had to slam/body check it to closeThe grounds around the building are disgusting Debris, pet waste, etc Just gross Otherwise the main hotel inside shared areas were very clean and well kept Easy to get here, and good options in the area for food $75 pet feed plus $15 additional pet My two small dogs that don’t bark, and didn’t mess up a room cost more than what I should have to pay to stay here ALONE I was told flat fee when I booked the room of $75 but got a bill with an additional $15 Would have never stayed here with points to get billed $90 on top for this lacking hotelWhen I called to question the additional fee, before I got to the fee, the person answering the phone said, “are you questioning the $25 incidental?” so seems like the have an issue here with tacking on fees and anticipating people calling back to question it THIS IS A HUGE CONCERNThe breakfast set up is great and food options were nice

Amazing hotel conveniently off of the highway Beautiful suites that were fully stocked with common comforts Spectacular amenities

The ladies at the front desk were very kind and welcoming! Cat friendly 4+ star hotel which is hard to find! I mentioned to my travel companion that I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the property!

Stephanie Nugen

The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are the most comfortable hotel beds ever ! The staff is very nice and accommodating When your here for weeks at a time it’s nice to have someone to talk to and joke with! Paul and Becca needs a huge raise – they always are quick to help in any way I need whether I need to extend at last minute or what not Only thing is they need to serve biscuits and gravy EVERYDAY ! That would be my only issue I have lol

Stephanie Galvez

As someone who travels frequently reviews are a big factor in choosing where I stay I picked this hotel due to the positive reviews on cleanliness, and friendly staff1

) Our room was not thoroughly cleaned The bedding was just kind of thrown on, with stained sheets that were put on the bed inside out The floor of the shower looked as though it had not been cleaned in a while2) The rooms are modern, and appear nice at first glimpse There was so much damage to the walls that I took pictures in fear of getting charged for damages to the room3) Our door would latch completely, but there was a pretty large gap where you could see through the door into the hallway It definitely made for an uneasy feeling4) The pool and hot tub appeared green, and you couldn’t smell any pool chemicals Out of curiosity we asked the front desk if the pool was maybe a salt water pool, but they were unsure5) It was obvious that staffing was most likely low like everywhere else these days The guy running the front desk during our stay was so friendly, accommodating, and professional Our encounter with him was a positive experience He appeared to be working multiple positions during our stay as we seen him having to work maintenance on top of running the front desk

As others have mentioned the check-in cleanliness of the rooms is suspicious Hair can be found on towels along with pillow cases and on the pullout couch Olivia at the front desk was friendly and acknowledged my status and thanked me for staying

The gym is great with multiple walking running machines We didn’t try the indoor pool although it was open Breakfast was also good as can be seen from the photos Overall management should instruct cleaning staff to wear hair nets while refreshing rooms Parking is good and free No homeless people either which was good

Julie

This place is phenomenal! So clean— spotless honestly Felt like a studio apartment Full fridge

Pet friendly The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the laundry facilities were down with no signage (wasted time & detergent) & there was a decently sized gap under our door and we could hear people on the hall as if they were in our room We had to stuff a towel under it to feel more privacy Otherwise this place is safe, clean, and quiet even considering the door gap

Jessica Baker

Very nice staff Cool that the bar is open 12-12 Breakfast is nicer than most hotel breakfasts

I loved the eggs and potatoes! Very clean hotel I’ve been traveling for four days and this was the first hotel that had washcloths in the bathroom which makes me happy hahaThe only reason why it’s four stars instead of five is because the ice machines on my floor and the other floors wasn’t functioning properly

We go through Amarillo on our road trips, and finding a place to stay that meets our requirements for cleanliness has been toughThis hotel was so clean Our room was very spacious and comfortable

Decor is very cute and well doneWe have traditionally stayed at Hilton Garden Inns during road trips but lately the ones we have stayed at have not been up to par This was a great alternative for us, and where we will plan to stay on our next time in Amarillo

Casey Lansdown

For the price of the room, over 14000, the breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! There was NOTHING out there My husband and I were given Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and microwaved egg and croissants

There was no milk for the cereal and no fruit other than old yellow apples Way to pricey for the stay Shower had NO pressure and leaked on the floor Air conditioner is controlled and would not go below 68 in an already hot room Would not recommend for the price

Raphael Jube

I always stay at the spring hill, but this was a bad one The room was not clean, they didn’t completely clean after the previous guest There were trash bags left inside the drawers, trash in the sofa, trash in the nightstands

they didn’t have sufficient bed sheets for the extra beds and when I asked, they argued with me they did The AC worked, but was extremely loud, definitely breaking soon The shower door leaks as well Would not stay again

Great standing showers and spacious rooms The staff here is seriously wonderful! Michelle at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating Some rowdy people gathered outside the hotel the night we stayed (apparently they weren’t even guests) and started blasting music out of their truck around 3AM

We called down to the front desk and Anna handled the situation wonderfully – got them to leave the property so the guests could continue sleeping! Please give these lovely ladies a raise! They deserve it!

Casey Miller

We really enjoyed the hotel’s clean rooms The building has a brand new feeling to it, which we really liked Check-in was easy because I booked ahead of time

My only constructive feedback however is that more attention should be given to the breakfast buffet When arrived at 8am for breakfast, there were very few items remaining It appeared that there was not enough staff to keep up with replenishing the buffet Hopefully, it was just an especially busy morning

Serena Turner

This was the best room and the best experience I have had while traveling! The wonderful woman who checked me in the first evening answered all of my questions when I called to make the reservation! The day shift front desk attendant the following days was helpful and quick when I needed assistance We ended up staying longer than expected due to unforeseen issues, and I am glad it happened at this location! It was not a hardship at all! The room is BEAUTIFUL! The bed was the best my husband and I slept in, and it offered the perfect amount of space The breakfast was so good! Eggs, bacon, bagels, cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, and a waffle bar were offered, so everyone had a selection

The location was completely safe! 10/10 would recommend staying at!

This is one of our go to places when we travel throught Amarillo They allow pets and their pet price use to be 10 bucks It recently went up

But we still like the rooms and location There is easily 8 restaurants in walking distance 4 steak places But you can also cook in your room with the stove top and microwave And full size fridge Some rooms have a nice recliner

금지수

The worst place I stayed ever First, I made a reservation through bookingcom and, for some reason, I didn’t receive the review page pop-up, so I am writing down here

I made a room selection mistake and I asked to change the room It was a cheaper price than I paid and I said I don’t need refund just change the room The front lady said yes She believed she corrected it to the room we wanted and gave us the room keys When we came back to the new room after dinner, we found that changed room was exactly the same option with the room before with a different bathroom I went to the front desk again to ask if she could correct if to the 2 bed option This time she said if I wanna change the room I need to go through bookingcom, which sounded to me that no change would happen Second, that new room was not clean, like at all There was dog hair all over the carpet, they didn’t clean coffee machine somebody used previous because a nasty big bag of coffee was old in there, and I was so grossed out that I couldn’t trust if anything was actually clean I am so disappointed of their actions and we are never going to visit “MY PLACE” ever again That was totally waste of money

Christie Draper

The front desk clerk was nice and helpful at check in We stayed 4 nights Room was nice

The bed was not really comfy but it wasn’t too bad Only major complaint was our room did not get cleaned once during our stay Don’t know if they have some weird cleaning policy or what; but that kind of thing would be nice to know Expected our room to be cleaned at least once but oh well Nice stay overall

I rely heavily on reviews yet rarely write my own but am striving to be better about it, starting with Ashmore One of the best “budget” hotels we’ve ever stayed at All staff were friendly and helpful

The room was clean, not dated, didn’t smell funny Felt very safe tucked back behind Cracker Barrel The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had lots of hot and cold options – waffle maker, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, juices, fruit, cereal We would absolutely stay here again!

Free breakfast consisting of toast Bagels freshly made scrambled eggs sausage patties and waffles two different kinds of cereal fruit juice and coffee

Arrived at hotel to find out pool was closed Website does not mention anything about pool being under maintenance After traveling with a 4 year old for 5 hours waiting for the pool, this came as a big disappointment

When I asked to speak with a manager during check in, I was told he will be in on Monday if you would like to speak with him It was Friday and we are leaving the next day, which they knewI emailed the manager and received 0 response Which is why I am writing this reviewAt some point you need to let your guests know what is advertised is not what you are getting

Overview:Amazing experience, they had quality service and absolutely outstanding staff The view from the hotel was also quite marvelous, especially seeing the city in the distance The room was also extremely well setup and beautifully placed

The bathroom was clean and organized, awesome sample soaps tooRooms ⭐️5:The room we received was on the third floor (316) and was very well put together There wasn’t a single thing I noticed that I could comment on being bad when it comes to staff preparation of the rooms But the air conditioner looks to have been knocked somewhat off, easy fix if someone repairs itService ⭐️5 :Considering we arrived at 2 AM the night crew was also quite excellent with handling our check-in I appreciate all of the staffs dedication to keeping quality Hilton service at all times, as the breakfast was also top notch They had the best muffins and pastriesLocation ⭐️4:The location is at 4 stars because of the location being directly across from the cattle farm which tends to smell when you’re outside But it’s being kept at 4 because of the pretty outline of the City in the distance

I’ve stayed here multiple times in the past few months Everyone that I interact with is always friendly and helpful The breakfast is usually pretty decent, and by decent I mean I can eat hot oatmeal and bacon and I’m a happy fella

If you get a room facing the east, the views of the sunrises can be absolutely amazingIf you want a good steak, the big Texan is within walking distance So what you want to do is get In your vehicle, and drive past there and to any other steakhouse in amarillo so you can get a good steak

Room rate was the highest I’ve ever paid Pool and spa were closed by the health depth so our grandchildren (5&6 yr old)were very unhappy

as were we The hallway carpet smelled musty but the rooms were clean For 22500 the beds should have been top of the line but they were not Breakfast was good and staff friendly but wasn’t apologetic as to the lack of transparency about their amenities being shut down for the guest I will not stay again The value for what I paid was not worth it

Loved this hotel stay! I’ve stayed at many Hilton owned properties because I used to work for a Hampton inn and this hotel was great! I loved the pool although we only got about 45 minutes in it once we arrivedBreakfast was good with lots of options and the gals serving the complimentary items were friendly and welcoming The rooms were clean and very spacious

The gentleman upfront I believe Paul was his name but honestly could be making that up haha He was super welcoming on the phone and when we arrived and was very polite The incidentals fee was very reasonable and I would stay here again and recommend to anyone needing a hotel in Amarillo :)Thank you!

The group next to me were enjoyable The atmosphere was amazing at the bar Now the rooms It was a breath of fresh air to walk in a room so clean and well decorated The bed was comfortable The sleep was uninterrupted The experience was long overdue This is my new Amarillo hotel whenever I am in town Thank you all

Justin Todd

Hotel is nice Great place to stay and I would stay again However, upon check in they ask if you want housekeeping for the duration of your stay

I said yes I would, paying for it I’d like to have the bed made up and fresh towels Day one no housekeeping I went to front desk and asked for it the following day Next day I get back to the room expecting it to be clean and it is not Same thing the next day Day 3, now I’m out of toilet paper and towels Go back to front desk and inform them my room is not satisfactory Clerk says there’s nothing that can be done and it was not noted that I wanted housekeeping I explained I did from the beginning and was basically told too bad I did receive a roll of single ply for my trouble If you want a clean room just don’t expect it

Eric Agnew

Great historic building with included history, updated rooms, and right in historic downtown within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, bars, shopping, and other businesses I made the mistake, however, of opting to eat breakfast in the cafe downstairs and ended up waiting for at least thirty minutes essentially for a breakfast salad (arugula with eggs on top), yogurt, and French toast Unfathomable why only one person each would be scheduled to work the register/coffee area and one in the kitchen during the breakfast crowd

This place was amazing The staff the hotel and amenities I sat down and ordered wings fries and a alcoholic drink

It was under $23 The bartender and the manager were both amazing All of the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable I ended my stay with an amazing breakfast The breakfast prices were very cheap and the food was really good Hands down the best Holiday Inn I have stayed in

BJ Hart

This hotel is pretty dated and you can smell that as soon as you step into the room We didn’t really have any issues with our stay, just expected more from the Holiday Inn chain The mattress was pretty worn and the door was very hard to push open because of the carpet for some reason

They do have multiple Tesla chargers and were decorated nicely for the holidays

André Thibodeaux

By a long shot the best Holiday Inn I’ve stayed at The hotel is very well decorated and clean with good amenities Room was spotless

Also, the lady working the desk (Virginia I believe was her name) went above and beyond to assist us – we had an issue booking through Bookingcom which was a super pain to get squared away, and which she held no obligation to help us out, but she did anyway That speaks volumes in my book So kudos to the team and management – especially her for being so professional and helpful!
