This was my first time staying here about 2 weeks ago I’m sorry for the late review, but my experience was memorable! I mostly rated them a 5 because the customer service was amazing! Hospitality at it’s best!! If my memory serves me correctly, both Jennifer and Toni, were extremely helpful and I felt appreciated The room was breathtaking

I loved it! I had a wonderful sleep The only thing that really bothered me was the housekeeping lady kept knocking on my door asking about my departure time I asked for a 2pm checkout time and I was out maybe an hour earlier I feel like my time should have been communicated and no one should have knocked on my door or tried to open it I felt rushed to leave, and I did not enjoy my last hour Lastly, I would have loved for the Bistro to have better hours or more availability Still, I will return

Erica Jo Byers Pelton

We stopped and stayed here on the way to Myrtle Beach The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious I am in a power wheelchair so it was nice to have a large room and a large bathroom with a nice roll in shower

Toni was very helpful with our check-in and answering any questions that we had They have plenty of areas to relax They have a beautiful courtyard with plenty of seating along with seating on the inside of the hotel The only downside of this hotel is that there is no breakfast It is made to order and it is a little on the pricey side However, we had a great experience and would definitely return

Kellsey Galart

We stopped on a trip home and paid $310 for one night Pool is not open, room has duct tape holding together the trim in some areas, beds are super soft so not sure how well we will sleep Thought about leaving but would be pit the $ for the room and have to pay for another room

plus got to pay for breakfast? What am I paying over 300 for amenity wise?Update: My 4 year old pulled a Jack Daniel’s bottle and boarding pass out of the couch/pull out bed, pulled back the bedding on one of the beds only for it to be dirty, and beds were terrible! Not just soft but broken down and needing replaced They did take some off the bill but honestly worst hotel stay we have ever had

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in! No kidding! The first impression should have been a red flag but we were in town for a wedding so we sucked it up Overflowing trash and a dead plant greeted us as we entered the lobby Our first room had clearly not been cleaned

The bathroom had hair in the sink, mold in the shower and a broken toilet flusher I called the desk to change rooms but no one answered the phone I went back to the lobby to request a clean room I don’t think that term registered with the manager Our second room was only slightly better At least the toilet functioned and the sink was cleaner We did not eat the free breakfast because that area did not look very clean either Even The coffee was just lukewarm so we just went out for breakfast There was a broken liquor bottle in front of the non working elevator When I told the manager about the broken glass, she nonchalantly said that someone else mentioned that too It was finally cleaned up but there were still shards of glass visible We never did get housekeeping service to our room and when we mentioned it when we checked out, the manager acted clueless and just said she was “new”The entire hotel needs new management and housekeeping staff as a minimumAvoid Hilton hotels if at all possible! There are lots of hotels that do a much better job caring for their customers

Taiwo Adeleke

This was a horrendous experience The hotel was dilapidated and dirty The rooms are small, disgusting, smelly and outdated

There was leakage in the bathroom and kitchen sinks Which were both full of hair I’m assuming from the previous guests The breakfast was revoltingly not edible The pool was closed due to a heating issue which was false advertisement The staff was very rude and not really helpful at all There were sketchy guys coming in and out of the place all the time I don’t know if they lived there or not There were tons of garbage bags filled to capacity piled up in the hallway overnight because none bothered to come take the trash out I would have checked out early but we were there to visit my dying uncle who is in hospice with stage 4 cancer I have never stayed in a motel before but I would imagine this is how mortifying it would be This place needs new management, new housekeeping, new maintenance and remodeling as soon as possible I would never recommend anyone to stay in a Hilton Home2Suites unless they are looking for a dirty motel 6 vibe This was unacceptable I would like to file a complaint with corporate as well

This location and its staff were great They were very welcoming and accommodating During our visit to the AAU Junior Olympics, we booked with a different hotel chain and after staying 2 nights canceled the rest of our reservation and decided to look for better accommodations

We ended up in Virginia Beach, unfortunately due to last minute we were unable to find accommodations at your any of your properties on the beach, so we stayed at another chain no words for that property Luckily for us your location had rooms available when needed to be back in Greensboro for my grandson’s last event at the Olympics It was great, the best sleep, cleanest property, family friendly, quiet, accommodating and just overall experience we had on this trip It was well worth it Pay a little more for comfort

The worse stay at a Marriott property that I have ever had I would avoid this property at all costs Reserved a Kind suite for my family of 4 (plus infant)

Arrived and was given a King Room Hotel staff and management did nothing to accommodate our family and we were forced to sleep on one bed until later in our stay when given the correct room We had called early in week to confirm booking In lieu of the actual room I paid for, Marriott gave me $20 per night They refused to make this right with my family and I I would avoid this property if traveling to NC

Hotel itself was fine Nothing extravagant My room was small but practical

Bed and pillows were comfortable Bathroom looked like it had been updated recently Breakfast bar was available but I didn’t try it Fitness room was very limited Two treadmills, an elliptical, light free weights and a benchMajor downside, which was a freak occurrence I’m sure, was the hotel fire alarm going off ~9pm for about 30 mins due to what I was told was a faulty sprinkler system

Dawn A

Standard Fairfield inn Room was clean, hotel looked nice Shares a parking lot with a surprisingly good asian to-go place located in a gas station

Customer service was great Did have an issue getting someone at the front desk a couple times though It felt like it was largely unmanned However, the rest of the staff I interacted with was top notchBreakfast was greatIssues: one tv was broken However, they comped us $50 (1/3 price), so I thought that was fairA big surprise was that the indoor pool was not heated It was frigid Why bother to have an indoor pool if it’s too cold to use it for half the year? My kids were really looking forward to it (Nov stay) and they couldn’t stay in for more than a few minutes because it was that cold Should’ve brought a wetsuit :-/I did try out the pullout couch bed Felt every spring coil in the 4in mattress However, the normal beds were fine

We went to view the venue for a wedding and try out their food since they have great wedding packages Service starts off as tentative Literally, 4 people asked us if we had a reservation and tried to seat us

After that, the decline started We moved from inside to outside and it was as if they forgot about us We never got water nor our food I noticed people that were seated after us got their entrees The menu appears to be enticing We ordered okra, wings, French toast and chicken but we never saw it The employees are extremely nice However, when we decided to leave due to lack of service, our waitress was at the front counter She asked did I want another drink No apology or mention of our order On a positive note the summer renaissance and the hibiscus margarita are delicious

Rhonda F

Had dinner with several friends which allowed us to sample many of the items on the menu Everything was delicious and plentifulBeautiful decor, and Nicole, the team member assisting our table, took the experience to the next level

Look forward to a return visit to enjoy the brunch menu

Nathan Hames

Absolutely gorgeous interior with a mixture of art, small interior design features, as well as blurbs on all of the history associated with the hotel and the city of Greensboro It has fantastic live jazz music for Sunday brunch as well as some of the best southern comfort food I have ever had!I would give it a sixth star if I could!

The staff is very friendly, the beds are comfy, and the microwave/refrigerator setup in the room was very nice The issue we had was miscommunication The staff should know the policies of the hotel and not spout off on what they think it is

Our room went more than three days of not being cleaned because of pure miscommunication The fan in our bathroom did not work, and the small elevator is creepy Also, the dining room and kitchen needs a major overhaul

daniel deutsch

Decent if unexceptional Billed as a 4-star but really comes in at a 35

The staff really make the place Friendly and helpful, big shout-out to Kenneth, who are responsive Oddly, there was no toilet paper holder in the room’s bathroom Apparently there renovations going on that did not account for toilet paper holderswell, there you go There is a 24 hour fitness center and pool which is nice No movies offered in the rooms just cableagain, there you go Overall, not a bad stay but a forgettable experience

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel in Greensboro because we were doing college tours for our son and because of our familiarity and great experiences at Hilton properties so this was a no brainer When we arrived we were greeted promptly and courteously We received our keys and the complimentary famous DoubleTree cookies

That was the best part of our stay When we got to our room, we immediately noticed a foul odor, the bed wasn’t made properly and the carpet looked worn, dirty and old This is not what you’d expect from a mid tier Hilton property So we decided that we were going to go to another hotel because this wasn’t going to workI went to the front desk and told them we wanted to check out and gave the reasons why They promptly checked me, said sorry and refunded the charge of the room but it was less than what we paid but I figured it was due to the reservation being through a third partyAfter several days, I noticed that I hadn’t received my refund so I called the hotel directly, explained the situation to the front desk staff and they explained that I had to call the third party to get my refund I ask the associate what her first name was so when I spoke to Expedia, I could give them a name and that would help with my refund She flat out refused to answer, saying that DoubleTree associates don’t give out their first name over the phone Seriously, you can’t tell me your first name even though I was a guest at your hotel??? Then I asked if I could speak to a manager who would be more helpful and she told me that they don’t have managers that work on the weekends!!!At this point, I was done and there was nothing left to say to her because she obviously didn’t value me, my time or the situation I then called my credit card company to help get my refund which they were able to doI DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND this Hilton property because the rooms are not up to date, the beds are not comfortable, the rooms smells, the hotel is dirty and the front desk willfully and purposefully lied to meUpdate: The Assistant Manager Tracy said she is not the one who spoke with me so I have removed that from my review However, the fact remains that the female front desk associate didn’t want to provide her name and said that managers do not work the weekends which undoubtedly was false!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly! Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed The beds were super comfortable!! I stayed here with one of my friends and we felt very safe in this area Close to the highway so you’re close to the airport, Greensboro coliseum, etc

There are also a lot of restaurants about 5 minutes away!

DJ E

A very clean hotel, the rooms were nice Convenient location to the airport and 20 mins from the Truist Stadium Pool was crystal clear even with JO’s going on

However the breakfast has no meat The breakfast wasn’t very big in general If your vegan it wouldn’t bother you, but if you love meat all they have are omlettes, waffles, blueberry scones and muffins And of course cereal, but no meatOverall it was a very pleasant experience, just be aware of the breakfast Also despite the hotel being near the airport, you can’t hear the planes takeoff and land unless your outside That means the walls aren’t paper thin

MaryLou Tyler

Very nice, clean newer hotel with comfortable beds and rooms I really liked the walk-in closet! The best part was the hotel staff They are friendly, helpful and very attentive

The woman who worked the evening desk brought us a wine opener, cups and ice buckets ( with ice) and even pitchers of water so we could have a little covid happy hour on the outside patio! The staff made the difference between a nice place to stay and an enjoyable place to stay

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful property The reason for the 1 star, was the customer service I received We were in town for a concert

Did an early arrival check in for 3pm Upon booking the room, we paid extra to have a high floor As well as documenting in the special request We were put on the second floor So they asked did I request the high floor, I told the gentleman I did, and also provided my confirmation So then he goes to ask me did I call the hotel to see how many floors it had Of course I didn’t!! Nonetheless this hotel only has 5 floors So I asked to have both rooms switched due to the fact I paid for it None of the rooms were clean He couldn’t tell me a time frame as to when they’d be done as well So I told him we’d go get lunch and come back We return around 415 get our keys and head to the new rooms Get to the room and this room wasn’t finished being cleaned Beds weren’t made, dirty sheets on the floor So I called downstairs to explain, and had to be moved to another room By this time it’s a little after 5 We planned to leave by 6, causing us to be late for the show All and all this wasn’t a good stay for us Your front desk agents could have been a little more knowledgeable and kind Also, failed to mention they charge for parking and the amount of the deposits/ incidental fees They also didn’t have name tags on for me to leave with this review I don’t believe I’ll be staying at the Hyatt in Greensboro again The customer service experience goes a long way

Matt Roughgarden

Held our company sales conference at this hotel About 70 people at its peak over the course of a weekIt could not have run smoother

The staff is professional, the hotel is clean and well organized Pam and Shayla in Sales really did make it awesomeThe staff kept us up to date and informed ever step of the process both in the pre event set up and during the event itselfThe hotel is downtown so its a short work almost anywhereI highly recommend you check it out

Shayna Wesselink

My husband and I stayed for an anniversary overnight As downtown business owners, we were excited for this opportunity The location and room itself were nice enough

However, there were several stains on our sheets that looked like they had been cleaned but stained none the less For $300 a nightor really any price, it was gross We were also charged $7 for parking! Crazy Now, I emailed management about our experience 7 days ago and have heard nothing An acknowledgement of our complaint would be nice The gentleman at the front desk was rude when I approached him the next morning with our complaint and just gave me a card to email the manger Again, with tax our room was almost $300 and then $7 for parking Really expected better

Was here for a business trip Staff was very friendly and helpful Only issue was 5 people in one group and we were given rooms on 3 different floors

Amenities like gym and pool are very well kept Didn’t have time for golf but the greens are very nice and are also very well kept Very large ballrooms that look like a great space for weddings or seminars Was a pleasant quick stay and recommend to any avid golfers looking for a quiet resort with nice views and great service

I am surprised I was able to book my room because furniture market was in town at the same time The room was clean and ready early, so we could drop our suitcases before the massage The massage was great and I really liked the tech I had

The breakfast was amazing and the made to order buffet was delicious The beds were very comfortable and room service was up in 20 minutes with our food It seems like they have done some remodeling and refreshing, and it felt new and relevant again

Came here for Tea !! It was a beautiful time! The hotel is grand and the lobby you are in is very peaceful, relaxing and laid back You have to make a reservation which for us was about two weeks out It was a treat and something different to do for lunch! Service was amazing nothing bad to say! Also, you can get your food gluten free which is what I did

The gluten free options were delicious!!

We stayed at their sister hotel; Proximity – we booked Afternoon Tea at O Henry It was amazing They have 3 levels of afternoon tea menus

We selected the middle option since we had dinner plans later on that evening The tea sandwiches & desserts were beautifully prepared & delicious Staff was attentive & professional The tea we selected was a special berry tea they had created in house We definitely enjoyed our afternoon break Reservations for afternoon tea is a must

Extremely nice staff any issues or concerns are quickly addressed with absolute empathy I really love everything so far The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable it has an at home slash business feel My heat wasn’t working and they wanted to give me another room but I liked my room and was willing to wait until Monday for maintenance to come to fix it

I just requested to extra blankets I received those from the kindest housekeeping staff I haven’t encountered in a long time Then the front desk calls me to tell me they were sending maintenance to my room to fix the heat I was so impressed because I didn’t mind waiting at all but he came fixed the heat and I’m grateful Thank you for going above and beyond for me but I didn’t mind waiting at all

Danielle Kotch

This is my first and last stay at this hotel I had nothing but issues with it and some of their staff They were doing construction on the parking lot, which inconvenienced my stay in so many ways

The pool is tiny and there isn’t a hot tub The beds are comfortable Everything else leaves a lot to be desired Would not recommend this hotel We needed maintenance on three separate occasions The air conditioning was set to 60, but I was sweating We needed to leave the room to have the unit replaced The stay was so terrible, we got a night comped by the general manager

Kaylee Aleshire

Everything was okay with this hotel except that fact that our room was right across from the equipment room, which was a very loud area in the morning It was also pretty clear that our bathroom had been cleaned to a very low standard as there was an open soap bar still in the shower and the wrapping for it was next to the shower curtain Overall an okay stay, great for the price we paid, just could use some attention to cleaning and noise levels

Kinda upset because I was put there for a week before work and the pool and hot tub were closed down due to renovations I’m not a complainer but the room was very humid as well and my balcony door had a broken lock on it and I was on the second floor Kinda scary

Other than that no other problems Bathroom was amazing and my bed was very comfy

Island Beauty

The room were decent, but there is no bistro There is no actual restaurant The food is being prepared with a microwave

Also, it is hard to get in contact with anyone at the front desk or at the bistro The pool and the hot tub were being renovated For our first time in the state, this hotel certainly gave us a bad impression If I could get my money back I will This place needs more renovation and is subpar for the exterior to the amenities This review was done on 06/23/2022

Brad Bills

I never stayed! I made reservations online with no issue After receiving the email confirmation, I attempted to check-in online, but I kept getting an error message I called the front desk to inquire about the problem, and the individual told me the hotel was completely booked and that the manager hadn’t turned off online booking

Next, I asked if my card would be charged, and I was assured it would not because I couldn’t stay My complaint is that my card was charged, and trying to get my money back has wasted a lot of my time Hotels reach max capacity all the time, and managers and employees should know what to do when this happens if they truly value their guests

We had a fabulous experience at Pandora’s Manor and would highly recommend! The Wilson room is beautiful and comfortable (and so is the rest of the house) so we were very pleased with how beautiful the house is inside and outside The front porch and outdoor space is lovely! The hospitality was also fabulous – we felt welcomed and Tina went out of her way to make us feel comfortable The attention to detail and amenities were wonderful

Our time at Pandora’s Manor was very relaxing and enjoyable We will definitely be back!

Melody Burnett

I was invited to a private dinner at Pandora’s Manor and it was exquisite! Chef Nico served amazing cuisine all in their state of the art kitchen that was comfortable, relaxing, open and fresh The furnishings inside are perfectly selected to fit the ambiance of this charmingly restored historic dwelling You can tell that the owners and management have a fine eye for detail and hospitality

My favorite has to be the wrap around porch decorated with intimate seating for socializing and relaxation When you picture southern hospitality, Pandora’s Manor is the perfect fit!

J C

Pandora’s Manor is wonderful! I’m in the middle When we arrived in our room we had to request for someone to come fix the ac We waited an hour while it was being fixed

The handle on one of the dressers fell completely off when we opened it to put our things away There was some shotty electrical work on the bathroom ceiling I found several spots of mold in the bathroom Myself and my children are asthmatic I was told there was nothing they could do that evening and to let someone know in the morning I spoke with Vivian the next morning She said there was no room to move us, she would send someone to take care of the “organic growth” and would comp one night When I checked out the front desk told me that they had no record that I made this complaint I showed pictures of the mold, the lady at the front desk took my phone back and forth to show the manager the pictures I took and said they were too busy to come out for a moment because they were doing payroll This went on for 30 minutes At this point I was frustrated because it seemed like they were trying to make me prove something although I had already spoken with two representatives They finally agreed to comp one night After going through all of this I told them that I believe two nights would be a better option for compensation The manager offered me points in lieu of one of the two nights and I refused They finally honored my request for two nights Additionally, the pool was filthy The bottom was brown I was there for a family reunion I gave them a three because, although reluctant, they did compensate me for the issues encountered

When you walk in the door the chlorine smell from the pool is so strong, carpets were dirty, and staff unwelcoming When I arrived to my room it smelled musty and the smoke detector was missing off the wall I took a picture and went to speak to the guy (Chris) at the front desk

I showed him the picture of my room and told him my issues His response was “it will be fine as long as you’re not smoking nothing is going to happen “ I asked to be moved to another room, given a discount, free night stay or something He again smirked and said I can have someone look into it tomorrow Well I am moving my daughter into her dorm in the morning I just drove hours to get here and this is the accommodations of this Hilton establishment?! We always book (Hilton) properties and this by far has been the worst I will NOT be returning to this hotel

Some of the staff were not welcoming There was a Caucasian lady working the front desk on 3/13/22 morning around 6:40 AM As my Aunt and I walked to the front of the lobby, she just stared at us with a nasty facial expression and she watched our every move

As my aunt and I purchased something to drink, I asked her if we could get some cereal and a banana She very rudely stated that only if you are member Her tone of voice was very disrespectful and I didn’t like the way she made us feel! She treated us like we didn’t belong there and she made us feel like we were trespassing When we made it back to our rooms, I couldn’t go back to sleep because I kept thinking about how we were treated I decided to write this review to express my thoughts Based off of this, I will never stay at this location EVER again I regret purchasing a room here I didn’t travel over 200 miles for my family and I to get treated like we don’t belong To any future guest that stays at this location, please be aware of the profiling that comes along with your stay

Perfect for a visit with our daughter – only 5 minutes from her apartment Room was clean, the plugs for electronics worked, (not always the case at a lot of hotels, which I don’t understand) and we were able to park fairly close to the door Breakfast was adequate

Nice that coffee was available during the day Were there for 3 nights and no complaints! 😀

Great location! Customer service was super! A bed, TV and a desk do not make up a suite I thought every room was a suite, but apparently not Bathroom was pretty decent sized and bed very comfy! It was less than a 15 minute drive to NC A&T, Bennett College and NC at Greensboro

Would stay again if in the area

For a limited service hotel, it’s quite good The room was missing one chair which wasn’t the end of the world Room, in fact the whole facility, was clean

Staff was courteous and competent For me, the location is a little awkward in relation to the business I do in Greensboro, but for folks traveling I-40 who need to overnight in Greensboro, it’s good

Was only able to stay here one night (sadly) and it was amazing I was in town for an event at the country club and check in was fast and pleasurable Both the young man and young lady at the desk were nice and the young woman actually went to her car to get me a charger I could use because I forgot mine! Clean, upscale, and affordable

Also they had a great Breakfast which was included–hadn’t known about this!

Red Shoes

Rooms were nice with antiques furniture so it was quaint Room was quiet so easy to sleep and bed was comfy Workers are very nice

Ice machines would have been helpful over asking reception all the time Better selection at Grey’s Restaurant would be nice and add some actual cheese to the burgersNot everyone is into spicy food and southern food so choices were limited

Jamison Lackey

Room 33 is next to the elevator and there is no sound dampening The table in my room is busted and propped up against the wall The shower sprays water everywhere except down

The TV is a postage stamp Rooms are not inexpensive $1,000 for 4 nights so I would expect better Restaurant has spotty, odd service and ignored me for 20 minutes until I just left and went to another place down the road This was a disappointing stay I stay in High Point a lot for work but I won’t be staying here next time

We stayed one evening here We asked for a quiet room and they were very accommodating Pam waited on us at the front desk and she was very helpful and made suggestions about dinner spots

We took one of her suggestions and it was a nice place The room was clean and comfortable It did have a toilet that the handle was not working properly but we just reported it when we checked out

Valona Baldwin

First, I must say that all of the Hotel staff are excellent, extremely friendly and responsive in effectively addressing my concerns The rooms are overdue for updating There is no forced ventilation in the bathroom to clear out moisture in the air from showering or rid the restroom of malodor from toilet use

Therefore the only way to “air out” the restroom is to leave the bathroom door open This is not always convenient if you are sharing the hotel room with family members Additionally, the towels and bed linens were so old that they were discolored, had staining and were worn thin from much use There were stains in the carpet as well Fortunately, the staff there was so kind and they did what they could to make us comfortable The breakfast was great and the staff ladies working in the breakfast area were very friendly and responsive
