Overall it was a good stay Nice perks like digital keys, complimentary lattes/hot chocolate, etc, nice pool & hot tub For the price, the rooms could really be more modern & upscale – I was a little surprised by that not to mention a couple things like the drain not being properly sealed in our shower (big hole!), some mold in the shower, the fridge being a little dirty, no handsoap of any kind, etc

these are not things I would expect with a $180 price tag I will say all staff we encountered were extremely delightful and the spot this hotel is located is fabulous if you want to just park your car and walk to restaurants/shops I am not sure I would stay at this particular Hilton again based on the above issues but overall I think it’s fine

Seth Ritchie (appalachian_foodie)

Excellent stay – one of my favs in Asheville Biltmore Park is enough out of the way, yet offers plenty of shopping and dining on-siteThe beds are probably the last to be updated and are pretty firm, but the rooms are spacious, well laid out, and clean

The on-site restaurant is amazing, with a full service bar and several optionsIf you’re looking to avoid downtown traffic, consider this stay Hilton standards at their best!

William Bartles

Stayed here for one night and ate at the restaurant downstairs called Fork LoreI have already reviewed the restaurant separately but it was goodThe room was comfortable and for the most part clean

Bathroom was spotless, bed was clean and well maintained The one issue that we had was that there was a piece of half eaten candy laying on the night stand and we had to call for someone to clean it up as we were not going to touch it, thus, the three stars The room service was prompt to handle the situation and were very friendlyThe parking was a little strange as the garage is separate from the hotel and is connected via a series of walkways and elevatorsThe front desk was very helpful and friendlyIf you find this review helpful, please click on the thumbs up button at the bottom!

The gentleman at the front desk, unfortunately I don’t remember his name was very friendly and helpfulThe room is self was very clean, comfortable, and cozy The shower was absolutely amazing

The gym on site is fantastic as wellThe best part about the hotel besides the live music were the cocktails that Renee made! Watching her make a drink was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece Renee made on of the best old fashions that I’ve ever had!The other staff were fantastic as well and treated us like we were friends! I can’t say enough about the hotel or all the great people they have working there! If you stay you will not be disappointed!

Omari H.

The rooms are nice and room service is comes often enough No smells or stains; completely clean and organized No safe or storage box anywhere for those who want one

One of the drains was clogged, but they came by to fix it The bathrooms have sliding doors which take a bit of effort to move The breakfast is good, but not complementary Quality-wise, its a bit much for the price (it’s about $9), but the portions are good The front patio is amazing and they even had live music while we were there The hotel itself is in a nice location; not to far from shopping districts and there’s even an outlet mall down the road There’s no office and the printer wasn’t working when I tried it Otherwise pretty nice

JUDY PELFREY

Hotel staff were very friendly and personable

check in and out was so easy Hotel was very clean and quiet Nice gym area but the best was the outdoor area with fire pits and nice seating/tables Even though it was a chilly morning after working out took my coffee and walked around/sat outside for a bit, enjoying the sun!! Would love to see it in the summer😊Tired from driving so I ate dinner at the bar after resting/cleaning up very fresh and tasty caesars salad with grilled chicken with a rye bourbon over large ice (nice touch)!!

I am amazed with this property Upon online check in, I was able to select the room that I wanted like selecting a seat on a plane Rooms were clean, incredibly comfortable, and spacious

Having a city view room makes a difference too! The staff were kind, attentive and caring After all, it is Asheville and you have to match the vibes Had some of the best sleep I have had in my life while falling asleep to the view of the mountains and city in the background Also, the rooms had to be some of the quietest rooms I have stayed in Highly recommend this location

Rachel DeVore

We had our wedding reception here last night and it was phenomenal! Jennifer Little is excellent and super easy to work with She was super sweet! Everything was perfect and the food was delicious! Every couple should have their reception here! The best people work there The front desk staff was super kind and the valet employees were super nice! Have your wedding reception here!

Alyson Massengill

We very much enjoyed our stay! The location was convenient to the activities we planned for our trip which was wonderful The hotel was bustling, however we had a nice place to park ($16 but it was in a secured area which was nice) and our room was quiet (ie: you could not hear people in the hallway or doors closing) We were on the side near the highway but the hotel provides a nice sound machine

We did have an issue but the manager quickly responded and went above and beyond our expectations As a customer, how an establishment responds when an issue occurs (because nothing can be perfect all the time) means the most and makes you feel valued and welcome We would definitely stay here again!

Kristie F

Absolutely loved our stay here! Greeted with a friendly valet service followed by a quick check in and complimentary champagne The mountain view from our room was fantastic The room was very modern and clean, loved the Bluetooth mirror

Even the fitness center was spotless and well maintained, with plenty of equipment Never had to wait for an elevator and the location is excellent we were able to walk everywhere we needed with ease Staff really go above and beyond to ensure a great stay We will definitely stay here again

N Shuford

Great valet service I have to say, the valet staff was by far the best part of our experience They were professional, organized, and didn’t drive anyone’s car like a Formula 1 driver

The room was well appointed, clean, and we had a great view The hotel has plenty of elevators which means you never wait long to get to your floor The front desk staff were nice They could explain amenities and restaurant hours to each guest I noticed while waiting there were inconsistencies but overall it wasn’t a deal breaker, most info is on the room The room has a safe, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker There’s even a desk for business travelers The bed was very comfortable, nice sheets, and pillows The bathroom linens were thick and plush (loved then) The shower head is rain shower style and was relaxing The pressure was perfect! You’re a short walk to great restaurants if you don’t want to eat at the hotel Great location for those looking for good views and short walks to great shops

Thanh-Xuan Nguyen

The staffs at the hotel will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable I checked in late at night, near midnight The front desk manager introduced himself and said that someone will be there 24/7, so if I need anything, I can let them know

I thought this is just a standard greeting But true to his words, I came down later, looking for a lint roller from the hotel shop Although I couldn’t find it there, Bill went and retrieved one from the back office for me, removing the first layer of the lint roller so that it looks clean and ready for me Then, after checking out, the next day, I realized I forgot some articles in the room I called the hotel, and spoke to Lilly She put me at ease, went looking for it, and told me that they found it They then worked with me to ship it to my house Those two examples are just a few of many amazing encounters I had at the hotel where the staffs went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable I will definitely stay there again

Sinéad McClinton

The lobby, golf course, trails are beautiful The restaurant buffet is great and worth the money for sure Beautiful fire indoor and outdoor pit

And a good size balcony But the rooms are a little small and almost like an after though compared to the more upscale curbside appeal and lobby/restaurant lookThe bathroom is small, would be better with a walk in shower and remove the small dated tub And a simple fix to open the bathroom door out vs In would make a huge difference Not a lot of thought out into the room, but i guess you only sleep there so it can be tolerable

Buster Young

We recently stayed here and overall had a great time We had a bit of an issue at check in with our room We were given a room on the bottom floor of a separate building that appeared to be a spare room that perhaps was used for storage

Let’s just say it was not the caliber of room you would expect I brought it to the management’s attention and they made it right and got us in a room that was very much suitable and what we expected The hotel was sold out of rooms but we had made a reservation My purpose of bringing this up is that the property made it right and we ended up with a good room and overall enjoyed our stay The breakfast was extremely good Very nice staff We would definitely stay with them again

Brook Anderson

Stayed in May 2022 My room was clean and had a small balcony On-site bar and restaurant nice but expensive

Good location if you don’t want to stay downtown Decent conference room facilities The hotel was quiet and I slept well each night They have a shuttle to take you downtown and back for $8 per person Small maintenance issues such as the phone in my room didn’t work well and my bathroom light kept flickering but overall an enjoyable stay

My husband and I stayed here with our dog Cooper and we loved it! The room was huge and very clean with housekeeping service every night! The staff was incredible and so friendly! The location is perfect with lots of shops, dining, and breweries walking distance We really love the bier garden and the French restaurant that were in the same building – great food and super convenient We loved this hotel and we will definitely be back!

Terri Kane

Not worth the cost The furniture was well used and upholstery was stained There was mold in the shower

The hot water faucet in the bathroom faucet sounded like a fog horn I was disappointed that our view looked directly into the apartment next door We had to keep the curtains closed making the room too dark For almost $900 for a two night visit, I was disappointed (queen superior room) However, I give the valet staff 5 stars They were awesome

Elizabeth Weaver

Excellent staff, clean rooms, and nice location! You can’t ask for much more! I was especially in need of the fabulous customer service in order to get in and out of my car and luggage to my room due to recovering from a recent surgery on my footEveryone was ready and willing to help with each departure and arrivalThe room was spacious and spotless! Amenities included a refrigerator and keurig-type coffee maker, but there wasn’t a microwave

Presence of a microwave isn’t make-or-break for me, but warming up leftovers from an evening out isn’t easily done

What an amazing building, and the grounds and breathtaking It would probably take a few days to explore and experience everything this place has to offer Everyone who worked there that we interacted with was top tier

They were so nice, helpful, and accommodating You can tell that the staff really love what they do The patrons were also great, and we carried on multiple conversations with people we didn’t even know! It was a bit cold when we were there, but I can’t wait to go back and explore the grounds We saw people swimming outside in the huge heated pool and were very tempted! We will definitely be back soon!

Mike Kvintus

The views were amazing and service was outstanding, but the downside was the facilities were very dated including old/frayed rugs in the main hallways and the rooms were worn The rooms were better in the newer wing but still worn while the rooms in the original section were very worn The great room was fantastic with music each evening

We spent a lot of time in the great room and on the terraces Dinner on the Sunset Terrace at sunset was the perfect setting! Overall we had a wonderful vacation despite the dated facilities and would like to go back

Loren King

Very nice! Service was awesome Reservations are a must if you want to enjoy the dinning experience to the fullest With that being said, the gift store doubles as a food place as well and you don’t need reservations to go there

Very clean, which is something that is very important to me I’m going to be honest, it’s definitely an “upper class” resort, pretty expensive Though if you’re a golf, spa, wine and dine person, then leave the kids with a family member and enjoy

The Bent Creek Lodge was such a wonderful experience We stayed the weekend there for a wedding and everything about this place was amazing Our room was spacious and clean with a huge jacuzzi tub and a back door to the porch area

The gardens and surrounding areas are gorgeous and the hospitality was immaculate Delicious breakfasts and hot coffee served every morning with complimentary homemade cookies throughout the day were fantastic Randy and Linda and the other ladies who worked there made our stay such a joyful experience I normally don’t write such long winded reviews but this place is top notch and I will definitely be back 10/10 absolutely recommended

Rebecca Tirs

What an incredible stay we had The bedroom/bathroom had everything we needed The family room had rocking chairs, games, a pool table, snacks, fridge, microwave, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, filtered water, plates, & utensils

It was so well thought out! We sat outside on the back deck every morning watching the hummingbirds, eating breakfast (which was delicious, healthy, & thoughtful considering I’m a vegetarian) and every evening sitting outside our room overlooking the beautiful garden listening to the birds chirp We also had interesting conversations with other guests What set this B & B apart from others were the owner & staff Randy, the owner, was a wealth of information, professional, on top of anything we needed, and very nice The staff, Linda, Abby, & Emily, were all very sweet, funny, and kept things running like a well oiled machine They felt like family- but the kind you love seeing 😉 My mom hadn’t had a vacation in over 25 years bc of caring for her husband who was a quadriplegic When he passed it was time to give mom a breath of fresh air, a good time, and a relaxing place to stay- that was Bent Creek Lodge Thanks for being such a wonderful “home” base while we were on vacation Loved the lodge & loved the people <3

Allyson Prace

My husband and I recently stayed at the Bent Creek Lodge Hands down, this was a wonderful choice! The owner, Randy, and his A+ staff are hard to beat Randy was a great host – absolutely at the ready to make our stay perfect

Linda checked us in and was the main “concierge” — just a delightful, friendly, funny personality and nature expert that made us feel right at home Tracy is a GREAT chef who prepared incredible breakfasts that would power you to hike the Blue Ridge Mountains all day! If you want to avoid the busy city area and desire a very peaceful setting in the woods, you need not look any farther We will be returning!

Clean and the staff was great they were able to take us in when our other reservation fell through We ate dinner at their lounge upstairs and the vibe was amazing Staff there were also super nice

We ate breakfast there and we had the best waitress, food was so good Location was great but it’s not right downtown Also it was snowing really bad and the parking lot was icy so we slipped once or twice I feel like it should gave been salted to prevent guests from falls I will be going back this summer

Alexandra Erickson

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this hotel For the positives: the breakfast is wonderful (although there is no continental option) The staff is beyond friendly

The gym is huge and clean The lobby is elegantly appointed For the negatives: they charge $10/day for parking and the pool is cold and dirty The rooms are drab and oddly lacking, and the linens were less than comfortable It was, however, quiet and the bathroom/shower was clean and comfortable The rooftop bar is a must-see!

Jake Cochran

Location is perfect We could walk to everything downtown If you do the trolley tour there is at Pack’s Square (5 walk)

We parked the car and didn’t have to drive till we left to go home Use the app to check in and out so you can pick your room Very clean Rooftop bar is great Good food Wonderful views Best hotel stay in years

Stay was great! Until an employee stole my AirPods We tracked them to a car and had turns out he and his wife DID in fact, take them We were okay and ready to just take our stuff back and leave, until they tried to say it was an accident

Honestly, I wish I could rate this hotel better since it was an employee and the hotel itself had no idea until we told them, but when they attempted to brush it off as an accident?

James Thomas

Had high expectations for the stay unfortunately that was not the case Red Stag grill is over priced for quality of food Steak i dont believe was a prime cut as listed and not very tender

I have never given a negative review but a major issue when checking out Found that my friend daughter airpods were missing After tracking them to a employee car and recovering them with Hotel management, we were told it was a mistake Completely unacceptable and disappointing for end of our stay Would advise looking at other options for your stay

Cory Mock

Planned to stay here a month ago, then my wife and daughter came down with a stomach bug the day before around 3 PM I called to see what my options were to reschedule our stay and was told that I had up to 24 hrs prior to cancel or reschedule I said great I will talk to my wife on a date to reschedule and call right back to rebook the stay

15 minutes later, I called back to reschedule, with known dates that we were available, but this time I was transferred to what seemed like a corporate line instead of the actual location, spent 20 minutes on hold, only to be told that we could not rebook or cancel within 3 days of the check in date I asked to speak to the person that I spoke to prior at the location, but I did not have a name and they kept stating that there was nothing that they could do No deduction on fee, nothing So we still ended up having to pay for the almost $1000/night room without being able to reschedule! After writing this review, the hotel replied and I contacted at the local level and they were able to refund my full deposit Thank you for making things right! We fully intend to rebook this stay at a later time!

Loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Our room was very clean as was the hotel itself We had a king bed and the bathroom was huge with a very nice large walk-in shower! The pool and fitness center were both very nice too We ate at the hotel late one evening and the food was also great! A great perk, you can walk right around the corner to Hi-Wire Brewing Company

JoAnn Straub

Five night stay wasoutstanding From the moment to check in the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating We needed an ADA compliant room and the one bedroom suite was lovely

Large bathroom with easy access roll-in shower and the great part was the water was hot and great pressure behind it The king size bed was comfortable with lots of pillows The hotel was quiet and had a bistro with great food and they knew how to make a great margarita Located less than a mile from the Biltmore Estates and the historic Biltmore Village This hotel should definitely be on your list of places to stay in Asheville

Outstanding stay The cleanest hotel we have stayed in the past several years The staff is VERY nice and does a great job

I am not kidding when I say this hotel feels brand new, it was pretty much spotless and as enjoyable as possible The breakfast was very well attended to which made it really efficient for us to get the family fed and on the road the last day especially The rooms and bathrooms look like a company commercial could be filmed out of them as they were perfect I would stay here again without question, this is very well managed and we as Hilton Diamond guests stay in a lot of properties (This was property #4 in our summer vacation we stayed in), and this was by far the best of our vacation and definitely the cleanest and best ran hotel we have stayed at over the past couple of years Well done

Michele

If you’re traveling, your necessities are provided The bathroom was big and nice Any toiletries you may have forgotten, they provide for you The breakfast-i really like the biscuit and gravy- one of the best biscuit gravy I’ve ever hadthe workers are pleasant people too And the lobby is simple and beautifully decorated 🙂 thank you for the wonderful hospitality

This is a nice hotel and the location is perfect However as other have reviewed there is absolutely no place to put your clothes away out of site I was there with my sons four 4 nights and with no place to put our clothes away you are forced to either live out of a suit case or have your clothes out on a long shelf/bench that goes the length of the room

I get the minimalistic approach but this is just ridiculous Also many commented on the toilet which huge and square I thought those were strange comments but you will see what is meant when there; just very strange Sometimes designers try to hard to be different and forget about application Lastly, it may be an Asheville thing but there is no pool which was disappointing Overall a decent hotel with very friendly staff

Great location to everything Room and hotel was super clean, housekeeping should be very proud we were impressed and have stayed at some 5 star places so great work The terrace on 9 has great views, can relax and have a nice strong drink

If I could change one thing it’s the toilets Not sure who tried the square seats and felt that was good

I’m afraid to leave such a shining review of this place because my selfish fear is that it will be impossible to make a reservation because of its popularity, but I’m going to do it anyway This hotel is absolutely fantastic on every front The management and staff are top notch, kind and professional

The rooms are clean, spacious, bright and modern with excellent AC, and the bedding is fresh and comfortable The facilities (pool, decks, shared seating spaces, and lobby) are impeccably clean and fun to hang out in The parking is safe, convenient and fairly priced But the best part is the locationyou can walk anywhere Restaurants, breweries, shopping, baseball stadium, parks, grocery store, food hall are all within an absolutely manageable walking distance You will look forward to coming back here after a day walking around, tubing, drinking, eating or whatever it is you came to Asheville to do This hotel checks all the boxes, and Marriott should be proud of whomever is in charge here It’s great I’m a repeat summer guest and will continue to book here when I’m in Asheville

My husband and I came to Asheville for a concert We have been to Asheville many times but this is the first staying at this hotel

Everything was wonderful, from the friendly faces that greeted us to the comfy rooms What really heightened our experience was an employee there named Martin He was absolutely amazing, a real gem After the concert we made our way to the hotels roof top lounge Martin came to check on us while we were up there He thanked us for coming, made sure we had waters, and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay better It was much appreciated!!!

I am a lifetime Diamond Hilton Honors member and the Aloft in Asheville is one of the best I strongly recommend you stay there when in AshevilleAloft team, thanks for helping make this a great weekend!

We booked a penthouse suite to have plenty of room to move around and invite people to our room, and the views did not disappoint! Check in was super easy Jessica and Mark went out of their way to make sure our stay was up to satisfaction The hotel has a small bar with really good roasted coffee, a good selection of liquor options, and several TVs so we could catch some sports

Our bartender Erica was phenomenal- so friendly and fun and great at what she does!!! Valet is easy except peak time around check out seems to be a bit of a wait, which is to be expectedThe only downsides were the “freshness” of the hotel rooms- our linens and such were clean, but the furniture could use some updating as well as a paint job and some more detail to cleaning the nooks and crannies of the room itself There is no microwave in the room, but I can see that as a liability We did hear that they are scheduled for a renovation which will be exciting to see, because otherwise we loved our stay! Location is great and just a short walk from everything downtown Traffic noise off the highway is pretty persistent but it didn’t bother us much We will definitely check this place out again next time we are in town if not just to pop in and say hi to our resident bartender!

The view was amazing from our top floor room and the service was great We had some issues with the cleanliness, I feel like they only clean what’s necessary The walls had markings, the light switch was dirty (I cleaned it), the sheets had hair on it (could’ve been housekeeping)

The worst, the actual pillows were stained (I check under the pillowcases) I’m very picky about cleanliness so I wouldn’t stay here again Molly, the receptionist, was very accommodating and sweet, she did everything to correct the situation The valet guys were nice too If you’re not picky, the hotel is cool

Katrinka Tezyk

We enjoyed our stay very much Very clean Linens were fresh

Shower in bathroom was amazing Large and tiled Newly remodeled Great views of downtown The staff were amazing The breakfast was AMAZING!!! The fruit was fresh Eggs cooked perfectly Oatmeal was good also The only negative is no on-site parking However valet parking for an additional $30 per night is available We would definitely stay here again

Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff However, it is definitely not worth the price The hotel brags about all these accommodations, but it’s not worth it

For example, I was proudly informed that the staff could send a Keurig up to my room at my request if I missed breakfast service Requested coffee, it never came Not that I was terribly inconvenienced, but for a supposedly “high-end” hotel, I was not impressed I can receive a complimentary coffee pot without having to request it at any 2 or 3-star hotel or motel, so I was pretty disappointed i purchased breakfast downstairs and they forgot one of my entree items that I paid for Went to check into one of the restaurants the night prior, and the sign said “please wait to be seated” or something to that effect Meanwhile, our host was busy chatting with the hostesses working for the restaurant across the hall and took several minutes just to seat us Over all, I’m pretty disappointed For a place like this, where wealthy patrons are common and high-end service and commodities are to be expected, I feel like I could have had a better experience at a Quality Inn for a fraction of the price The interior design and cleanliness is great, but that’s about all that is special about it

David

My wife and I loved our stay The staff went out of their way to make the occasion special The room was well cleaned and had beautiful views of the city

It was nice to have the restaurant and bar, which was awesome as well We had dinner and breakfast and everything was good The elevators were incredibly fast, like I’ve never seen them get to me slower than 30 seconds

Caroline Troullis

Really enjoyed our stay here! Staff were great, enjoyed the happy hour drinks, rooms were beautiful! The only downside is because the hotel is right downtown in the middle of everything, there is some street noise, although I don’t think it’s loud enough for most people to care–I was the only one in my family bothered by it because I have sensory issues Afton was completely understanding and switched things around so I would be on the other side of the building where less traffic passes by, and even brought up a fan I could use as white noise She went above and beyond to make me comfortable and didn’t judge me at all for having special needs

Thank you for making my stay so much better!

We have stayed here for many years as it’s easy on and off of 140 Always clean main areas and rooms The indoor pool and hot tub area is open year round with outdoor pool access in summer months

Breakfast was good and had so many options It was buffet styled while honoring sanitary protocol with plenty of drink choices The gym was neat and had basic machines, weights and mats I did workout there and it didn’t lack for anything I needed The bar is a nice area with limited food My only negative about this stay is the bar hours/service We travel after work and felt the bar closed too early On several recent stays the lady bartender (new) was more interested in talking to the male patrons who must stay frequently as she was very familiar with them and wasn’t as knowledgeable on drinks as the male bartender we have sat with before She never served our drinks with a napkin and was quite messy The male bartender stayed as long as there were people coming in and even asked if our drinks were to our liking He was constantly wiping down the bar area and checking on his crowd We will stay again because we like the amenities Just may try an outside bar for drink and night food optionsPlease give a thumbs up if this review was helpful in any way Thanks and safe travels

This was a wonderful place to be for a long stay We had issues with the restaurant (not run by hotel) BUT we had problems with the pool/hot tub and housekeeping

They kept closing the pool area at the best times of day, many days during our 15 day stay, and the pool was freezing cold Upon checkout, we found out they have a pool heater, but it has been broken for a while ☹️ And housekeeping was great, always cleaning and busy We took care of ourselves mostly, but had to vacuum our own room — because we didn’t schedule for our room to be cleaned!!! No one told us we had to do that, until check out day!! If they are going to have this policy, EVERY guest should be told But housekeeping staff was great – policy needs to be abolished or disseminated to all guests 🤓

Holly

Poor communication when we called to make reservations but a nice place but great service in person once we arrived Breakfast is “free for kids” but only kids under 11 and only of an adult buys a $16(?) breakfast That would have been fine if it had been communicated clearly instead we were just informed free breakfast for kids

There was an indoor and outdoor pool but they were so incredibly cold Kids used them anyway so it worked out okay
