Just returned from a the night stay We rented one of the small cabins on the lake Here’s my take:Pros:1

Ready check in and friendly staff2 Cabin was very clean as was the bath houses and the grounds Very well taken care of3 Free WiFi was fantasticstrong signal across most of the campground4 Pool was clean and the furniture was well maintainedCons:1 The cabins are super close to each other We only had a neighbor 1 night, but it was like we were sitting on top of each other2 You can’t purchase local firewood and bring it in Instead they sell slab wood Price was reasonable, but the wood was very green and didn’t burn well That type of wood won’t stack in the fire ringWe really enjoyed our time We will return

We stayed 6 nights in the cabin here It was the quietest campground I’ve ever been to Everyone including all the staff was so friendly

We really enjoyed the in ground pool and fishing pond My kids loved playing at the park also The bath house by the pool was the cleanest bathrooms ever! I really appreciated that since I have two kids The cabin was very clean It was pretty small, which we expected The only thing I wish is that there were hooks in the cabin to hold keys Some hooks in the bathroom for a towel would have been nice too I loved that fact that the cabin had a shower and toilet Having an window AC unit was great too! Overall it was great place to stay! We slept a lot better than we had expected being that the cabin is so tiny I wish there would have been golf cart rentals tho, I feel that would be nice especially for the kids for us to ride them around You have to buy their wood from the store at the campground, the only downfall was that we needed to chop the wood as the pieces were very wideOverall we were very impressed by this campground and would recommend it to anyone 🙂

When we made the reservation, their website reservation rules said if we cancel within 30 days, we will be charged a non-refundable $25 fee They have since changed their website to reflect where they actually steal your moneyIf you try to cancel your reservation, you get charged the full amount

You will owe a cancellation fee for both nights equal to the amount of each stayeven after you are told that you will receive a full refundPOOR customer service They do not answer the phone I called for days before someone answeredThis crooked campground has resorted to stealing from people as the only way to gain business They have lost mineI am sure the amenities and website look appealing They put a lot of stolen money into these things when they take this hard earned money from potential customers Everyone is struggling in this economy and to turn against your fellow man for a few dollars is criminal The values and morals of this campground do not represent over 99% of good campgrounds in the United Statesthere are other awesome places to stay – go there

First stay for my girlfriend and I and we enjoyed it Expected though as I have always had good stays at a Hampton Inn The service staff were friendly

The woman who runs the breakfast area in the mornings was a delight to talk to Room and property as a whole were clean We enjoyed the indoor pool Do wish there was still a hot tub, but the rinse off shower area with the wide shower head was a nice touch We liked our stay as lot and will totally consider staying again

Superb front desk staff helpfulness and friendliness during 9 day stay in January 2022 Very friendly breakfast staff with area well maintained and clean during breakfast period Breakfast selection was standard Hampton fare which I thought fine for this hotel rating

Some excessive noise during evening from hallway but nothing of level to complain Very clean room and bathroom/shower! Wifi worked great for my business meetings when needed (mostly personal trip)

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was in little old Mansfield, Ohio There is a newer Hampton in on Springhill Lexington Drive next to Cheddar’s, which we haven’t stayed at I would book at this Hampton Inn on Main Street again if it is less expensive than the newer one

This Hampton Inn is nice and cozy Staff is very professional The place is clean and well stocked Our stay here was very comfortable

This b&b is creative, clean, comfortable, and just a generally happy place Next time we come through Ohio, we are definitely staying here again Kathy went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and wanted us happy

She was very laid back and made a delicious breakfast on our time We had a bowl of fresh raspberries with cream, a fabulous frittata and her bacon was to die for!

Great experience Ashland is a charming little town, and this B & B fits right in Kathy and her two boys are great hosts

very personable and caring Breakfast food was delicious and plentiful Room ( we stayed in the third floor “Art Department” room) was a converted attic Beautifully decorated and clean Zero pet smells The third floor room was bigger than the others Taller travelers may need to watch ceiling height in this room though I’m 6’1″ and banged my noggen a couple times as I walked towards the front of the room Stairs to third floor are a little steep, so older travelers may want to stay in first or second floor rooms Overall, great, homey experience

We spent a wonderful night at the College House B & B on the weekend of the Ashland Balloon Fest We stayed in the Art Room on the 3rd floor I’ll first start with the Bed, it was absolutely wonderful

Like sleeping on a marshmallow The room was a bright and cheery room that had true character The house was nice and clean and the amenities were everywhere If I forgot anything, it was right at hand and beautifully presented The temperature was well regulated and the bathroom shower was divineThe host and her children were wonderful Very personable and ready with suggestions and the lay of the land The breakfast was delicious The sausage was scrumptious Everything was delicious and there was plenty of it The real gem was the screen patio The birds provided a tranquil surround sound to an extremely comfortable local It was breathtaking and peacefulOverall we will come back to Ashland I want to spend more time on that porch and have a chance to discover the town and the college near by

Full disclosure – 5 stars for me is top 5% experience – 4 stars is what I give to most places that hit all of the criteria – 3 stars is an average experience – 2 stars for something that did not go as it should have and 1 star for the 5% worst experiences in my lifeEasy check in – Amber super helpful Big room for 6 people!!!! Really filling hot breakfast!!! Turkey links, scrambled eggs, home fries (red skin potatoes), waffles, oatmeal, tasty muffins, fresh fruit!! Very good, very clean, very friendly!!!! Pool is a little small and a little chilly, but area was very clean and stocked with towels

Kady Martini

Holes in floors with carpet covering it in multiple areas, some spots sink up to 6 inches Completely unsafe Staff completely aware and described the roof as being their primary concern

Room we booked was king bed with sofa couch and room had king with chair No pillows when we asked so one of us could sleep in the chair Chair had crumbs in it too Pool never had towels even after asking multiple times No hot breakfast as advertised Definitely not Hilton standards As a Diamond Elite member we’ve been at many hotels and we’re extremely disappointed
