If youāre looking for good vibes, this is the place Greeted with down to earth customer service Modern yet casual atmosphere was quite appealing
Room was clean and functional I would characterize the room as efficient and functional The functional aspect paired with the overall atmosphere and cleanliness made for an exceptional experience Breakfast was the only meal I can speak to in the restaurant, but the food and service was great at each visitā¦ā¦Full disclosure; I attempt to stay places that arenāt run of the mill side of the highway type hotels This place is exactly that, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Wanted to love this hotel, but unfortunately was disappointed I know some hotels use flat sheets in place of fitted sheets, which is fine if the flat sheet covers the entire surface During our first night we noticed our king bed was covered with a flat sheet that was too small- didnāt cover the entire mattress and exposed part of the mattress cover below
I assumed it would be an easy fix, so we let the front desk know the next morning We arrived back to our room that evening to find our bed had been re-made, however, they again used a sheet that was too small Mattress cover still exposed Donāt know why this was an issue 2 nights in a row, but I found it kinda grossCheck out time is 12pm We went down to the restaurant for brunch, headed back at 11:30 to get our bags, however they had already deactivated our cards so we were locked out Not a huge issue but slightly inconvenient to get them re-activatedThe decor/aesthetic is nice, walking distance to many bars and restaurants But for the price and many other options in Dallas, we probably wonāt be back

The Pittman is a beautiful hotel Every staff member we came across was extremely lovely They have wine or other snacks you can purchase at their little version of a Botega at the front desk
The valet is super quick and friendly The rooms were modern and beautiful The hotel had a social hour, that we thought was a nice little touch Elm & Good is the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel we definitely recommend trying out We went for drinks one evening and tried brunch on Sunday morning This hotel is definitely a hidden gem in Dallas

My 4 friends and I enjoyed 2 fantastic nights at your gorgeous and very comfortable 5 star B&B I have stayed at many B&Bās and this is at the top; my favorite!I loved having our own chic bathroom attached to our bedroom, ( with the most amazingly, comfortable bed,) decorated meticulously in a clever, Texas, historical theme The house is magnificent with inviting rooms to enjoy our drink, from your elegant bar and gather in your cozy living room
After our night out we played a board game at the beautiful dining room table while seated in your plush velvet chairs The breakfast of ham and cheese croissants, fresh fruit and coffee were a perfect morning send off I highly recommend The Gaston! Thank you for a perfect stay! Iāll be back!
Anna Max
My boyfriend and I stayed at The Gaston for a night while on a weekend trip to Dallas and we absolutely loved it The home and rooms were beautiful and it felt like a home away from home The hosts were also extremely kind and hospitable
There is so much detail put into the home that makes it a very special place The breakfast was amazing and there is even a full bar which is so fun!! We definitely hope to be back for a longer stay soon!
Cassandra Clarkson

My husband and I just had a wonderful stay here! Our room was clean and quiet The decor was modern and beautiful The AC was cold (thank goodness because it was 113 degrees outside)! The bed and pillows were comfortable

I went to Dallas for a quick stay, and the Highland was the perfect spot to relax We ate the best dinner at Knife Steakhouse, located inside the hotel I also had a massage at the Spa right before check out that was perfect, and the sauna was super clean
It was too cold to get into the pool, but I did walk by it, and it was super clean The hotel and valet staff were lovelyI would stay here again because I had such a great experience, and itās a plus they allow dogs 10/10

We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary It is a great location though the first time it will be hard to find the turn into the drivewayKnife is a great restaurant for breakfast and dinner
Be aware you can order a half of a saladWe stayed in 719 a spa room with a huge spa tub with shower Be aware that it is a huge climb over the side to take a shower with only the towel rack as a hand rail The room has a refrigerator and coffee maker The only over head lights are in the bath and in the sitting area on the other side of the room The bed has 2 lights on the stands but it is pretty dim at night The desk had 2 open wall outlets for chargingThe staff were great though they did not inform us that the restaurant was closed Mon and Tues due to a lack of staff and for that I took a star away No options were given though there is coffee and tea in the atriumValet only 31dollarsRoom was clean and comfortable with a king bed

I stayed here recently in conjunction with a training class that I was conducting It was my first stay and this hotel and the first in a long time at any HIE Itās a nice hotel; modern and comfortable
The hot breakfast (it was actually hot) was the best Iāve had at any comparable hotel in a long time No frozen pastries! The room decor is not what you would expect in a hotel Colorful but not too bright and plenty of lighting Bathroom lighting still leaves something to be desired Thatās no big deal for me but could be a problem for anyone trying to do their hair and makeupOverall, the staff and facilities were excellent and Iād have no qualms about staying here again
Karl Boss
Had a great stayLove the food options with in walking distanceEasy on and off the freewayStaff was very fun and friendlyAs a former maintenance director in building engineer, I do nitpick everything about a building
I feel that they should spend a little bit more time and effort in a few more dollars to pick some of the repairs in the rooms in common areasThere are a series of things that could be done that cost a few dollars but in the long term saves money and has a happier customer returnPool was clean which is kind of rare these daysThe breakfast options aren’t that bad You get some pancakes, biscuits and gravy sausage and things of that natureTo be honest with the location that it’s at, you’re a few minutes from downtown close to Rockwall with all some great shops and things to do You’re right there at the lake with great ample parking By the way, The dollar you spend is worth spending it there You’re going to get your money’s worth out of your stayWe will stay there again
Mari Paez
Had to cut my stay short Originally it was three nights, I stayed one only The drain in the bathroom was broken, I had to manually lift it up for the water to drain
The night time employee at the front desk couldn’t leave his post so it had to be resolved the next day The A/C was at 81 degrees all night long Some elevator buttons were broken The mini fridge had an ice cream from the last guest and wasn’t cooling properly To wrap up, the hotel is way too overpriced for what it is The next day, the daytime front desk employee was very courteous and gave me a discount for the troubles The maintenance employee was very nice and helpful as well

Contrary to some reviews we had read prior to our stay, we found this hotel to be very clean and accommodating The room was spacious, and the large fridge and microwave were nice to have Great view of the city, very comfortable bed and pillows – slept well
Very accommodating for our large group of HS cheerleaders Great place for a group of students to stay Pleasantly surprised!
Matt
Perfect location as we were in the building next door Room was spacious and had lots of amenities But two things made for a 3 star rating
1 – Low flow showers It was very difficult to wash soap off or shampoo out with how light the water pressure was And the most important 2 – The bed was a remnant left over for the 70s or 80s The springs push into your back and the box spring that held this weak and flimsy mattress pretty close to collapsed I would have been better off sleeping on the floor Unless they replace their beds with comfortable ones, which I mean come on, it’s the Hilton Brand, I will stay somewhere else, even if I have to drive and park
Bruce Reed
Terrible parking situation !!!!!! I was there for a heart ablation and had to walk up and down stairs Elevator closes at 5:00 I also had to walk up and down elevated sloped garage entranceNothing was marked correctly
They depended on a traffic cone to keep on of the doors open to the streetThe check in situation was an absolute joke Had a small sandwich sign about 4′ tallfor the check-in door Only spots for two street side check-in Once there are two cars in place you can not see the check-in sign Everyone at the counter was nice but don’t go there unless you are willing to put up with the poorly planned parking

Keep in mind this is a new location That said, the front desk staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was on the soft side but comfortable enough, and everything seemed to be in working order The website states “Truck Parking”, but there is limited space for a bobtail, or straight truck, and absolutely no room for a tractor/trailer

Great little place to stay! It’s a small room but very cozy and great location! We did have to pay $11 for parking a day, but they do offer free parking!! They also are very responsive and friendly! For pride month, we received a free shot each upon our arrival at check in What a simple and cute perk for guests to feel special They also have fresh lemon water, which I loved! Every morning and night I’d fill up my yeti and get some! We will definitely be staying again upon our next trip to Dallas

Absolutely FANTASTIC stay!! If you are looking for a NYC vibeā¦ITāS HERE! If you love clean lines & minimal, calming decorā¦THIS IS IT! The beauty of this circa 1920ās building is shown and appreciated by the owners and brothers, Blake & Brandon Shirk The original exposed red brick adds texture & art complimenting the modern fixtures & decor! From the inviting entry & social area to the combo front desk/art-deco bar(which is genius), all leading to the very well lit hallways, where everyone will feel safe! The rooms are perfect! Finally a hotel that āgets itā! I, like most, are only there to shower & sleep⦠not needing all the extra āstuffā to take up space Clean walls & floors! Ultra soft, white spa-like bedding, a touch of greenery & wood accents andā¦
A RAIN SHOWERšOh ā¦and wait for itā¦they even have a bidet in every bathroom!!š Now that is extra!! The owners checked me in, bar tended, and offered friendly conversation! I will now be a regular when visiting Dallas! Outstanding experience!
Joel Shapiro
Fantastic locationGreat concept for a hotel We love staying in European hotels which have a similar boutique vibe to SOVA
The execution of the renovation of the building was not so great If you are a light sleeper, I would stay away from this place The thinnest walls of any hotel I have stayed in, including the US and Europe You can hear water running through them, as well as the voices of anyone in other adjoining rooms or the hallways Few of the rooms have windows, which is kind of strange! We were in an inside room (206)Despite these shortcomings, we had a great time in Dallas and would possibly return to SOVA, if the situation was right The prices were much lower than other hotels in the area, and we were treated well by the hotel staff, who were always friendly when we came in and out

I initially liked it here very much, after my house burned down and losing absolutely everything
the people were friendly and the room was cozyBut then after a few days I realized that my room had bedbugs I had never seen one before so at first I thought it was just something I was picking up sitting outside After a week I realized that they were coming from the bed It wasn’t until then that I started to see the bites showing up It has been 2 weeks and my right side is still so bad that I have to wear long sleeves and long pants in this heat I’ve seen the Dr Antibiotics and steroids can’t get rid of the bite marks They’re almost all only on my right side and I was sleeping on my right side so it couldn’t be anything elseThe worst part is that I was moved to another room for one day but then they decided I must have brought them into that room and they need to fumigate the room I moved to And I had to goI have never had or even seen bedbugs in my life but I get kicked out of a hotel after getting annihilated by bedbugs when I am already displacedIt’s the worst insult to injury I have ever experienced AND it was on my birthdayAnd just saying about the picturesthe bug on the sheet did not come out of the burned out shell of my home

This hotel was very clean and the location was great Very close to the North Park Center shops/mall One small thing I wish we had known in advance- the bathroom doors are a barn door style and do not close completely or offer much in the way of privacy
This is probably fine if youāre staying in a room with family, but with non-family you might prefer to be able to shut the door completely There is a large gap on each side of the door so others can see/hear/smell directly into the bathroom Thankfully no one in our room was super modest, but it was a bit awkward

Avoid this hotel or it will cost you I booked a stay here when my father and I flew into Dallas to visit my son When we arrived we were abruptly told they didnāt have a room for us because of a known system glitch and we needed to go to the Hampton Inn next door
I was charged a no show fee of $19781 the next day This was on 6/25 Itās now 8/12 and I still havenāt received a refund for the cancellation fee Additionally the Hampton Inn cost me over $310 additional to what my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn would have been I attempted to email the hotel manager and have not received a response I contacted Hilton Corporate and they failed to respond as well Here I am out over $500 because of their known system glitch and I canāt get a response or my money back This is not how you treat your guests period!
Brady Traywick
DO NOT STAY HERE!My catalytic converter was stolen while parked at their front door They cannot protect your property even with a security guard The GM even admitted this was not the first time this has happened at the property
There is a reason why all their doors require key card access This is not a good area to stay for the aforementionedAs a Diamond Member, I stay often with Hilton properties This was my most expensive stay! While empathetic, they do NOT take responsibility for a repeated problem This trip cost me over $5k Skip this property and find a safer option

My family and I had a great time in your hotel From the valet to the check in to the room, everything was amazing I also loved the welcome text and having the ability to ask questions through the text function was so convenient
I want to personally thank the two Valets and the text customer service Also the bar was a great way to relax I can not wait until it warms up, I will be back! Awesome Hotel!

Used Resort Pass to book a cabana for a Monday Worth it! We got to the hotel at 10:30am and did their self park Super easy
The lobby of the hotel is so pretty Checked in at the desk and went out to the pool to claim our cabana! Bar opened at 11am so we got settled in and waited Our cabana waiter brought our chefās welcome plate (fruit, good fruit) and mini waters Had to wait for the frozen machine to freeze (it was 110 that day, so yeah, we get it!) but had mixed cocktails to get us through Enjoyed the pool, the cool breezes off the lake, and the shade in our cabana Things to be aware of: prices are high (itās a hotel, thatās how it works), lots of kids (summer time, thatās how it works), not super attentive staff (itās 2022, thatās how it works) But overall it was a great time! We will be back for sure!!

Our stay during graduation and Memorial Day weekend was very pleasant I have no major complaints or issues with the Hotel or my stay The only thing I noticed was cleaning could be better in total with linen, etc
, some minor paint touch ups would be beneficial to the hotel as wellComplimentary breakfast was great! So pleased with the many different options and stations that does not limit guest to the typical minimal pork/beacon options The property is well kept and they have great professionals working the counter Very pleased with Dquaveaonās hospitality and professionalism throughout our whole stay We will definitely keep this location in mind when visiting again(4 stars for simple linen āissuesā)

I knew I was going to be living in an extended-stay hotel for several months due to a home remediation, and I am beyond thankful that I picked this Element! The front desk staff is warmly welcoming, and goes above and beyond to be helpful The cleaning team is friendly and thorough The real star of the show, though, has been the kitchen/breakfast staff – she truly has the gift of hospitality, and does a fantastic job keeping up with the morning rush while cooking delicious, healthy food and fostering a special sense of community for guests all at the same time
I’m sure going to miss this place when I move back into my house!

My room was a mini suite on the 2nd floor I am a bit of a neat freak and felt comfortable in it It seems, at least when I was there, it was on the flight path for the airport š« A hospital is very near and sirens are loud
None of this bothers me but if you are a super light sleeper I advise ear plugsThe staff were amazing, very friendly and gave good recommendations for places to see/try Breakfast was included and I overheard it is quite good I only had time for coffee and a muffin, both if which were decentI would definitely stay with them again

I stayed 4 nights The room service was not effective the first night We didn’t have an ice bucket and couldn’t get one
The rooms are cleaned only once per stay It wasn’t an option Most of the appointments of the rooms are well thought out and work well However there was the occasional glitch For example the toilet tissue holder simply didn’t work I had to take the toilet tissue off the holder and handle it manually

We stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping made our beds each morning and made sure we had clean towels every morning as well! The guest were very welcoming always greeting us when we arrived and saying goodbyes as we leave Breakfast was so good and the lady working I believe she was the F&B manager was so sweet to my 3 children they talked her head off lol Overall just a great stay thank you for the hospitality I will definitely be staying again when I return to Dallas

Iām disgusted by this hotel! We always pull up the sheets and bedding to check for bed bugs and the first sheet we pulled up had crusty stains on it The fridge is literally from the 70s and just sits on the floor rust and all The phone is from the 70ās and Iām pretty sure everything has been furnished by the thrift store
Smells like old dirty musty smoke even though itās supposed to be non smoking The floor is covered in dirt and hair We pulled back the curtain and the coffee cups are sitting on the floor behind it Also, stumbled upon two Miller beer bottle caps just laying on the floor I usually love and enjoy going to hotels but I have been in my room for 2 hours now and still canāt get myself to lay down We requested for new bed sheets and all they gave us was two top sheets Usually if you ask for clean sheets you would get the whole set We are Hilton members but this hotel is one we will NEVER recommend or stay at again 1 -2 star hotel for sure! I have pictures of all the stains we found on the bedding along with everything else I mentioned above

Pros: Nice common areas including the pool, patio, and dining room Loved the modern aesthetic and decor throughout the hotel The bathroom was nice and updated with a beautiful shower and plenty of counter space
Comfortable king bed Large TV Room had a fridge, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer I felt my car was safe due to cameras around the buildingCons: There was no microwave in the room so we had to go down to the lobby each time to heat up our meals The check in experience was slightly stressful as we booked through Priceline and our room was never actually booked in the system The manager was able to make sure we got a room for the weekend

Retro coolSometimes thatās hard to do without going overboard to the retro side The Beeman doesnāt try to be overtly retro but rather has some retro touches to keep it interesting
Itās like the Dean Martin of hotels, knows itās cool and doesnāt have to try Great pool area Nicely appointed bar facilities The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable with a definite nod toward using sustainable products
Chelsey Ryner
We have stayed here twice now It has always been nice and clean and everyone so far seems to be friendly The location is perfect
The issues we had was one morning a child (and his family) was screaming in the hallway at 730am (not the hotel’s fault)but the only issue with the hotel is we requested a late check out of 1 o’clock We got the okay from two people at the front desk We get a knock on the door at 11:01 asking when we would be leaving This irritated me a bit as we had our DO NOT DISTURB sign on the handle and they could have at least called the front desk to check with them rather than waking us up After telling the person who knocked when we were leaving, I called down to the office to be sure we weren’t being charged for an extra night and we were assured that we weren’t and they would let the staff know 5 min after the phone call, we get ANOTHER knock from another employee asking us when we were leavingWe got so annoyed with it all we just packed up and left earlier That put a damper on things as we booked this to relax a bit and needed the extra time to unwindReally want to go back, but a little put off Otherwise, the hotel is a good place

Pros: Great location, amazing feeling king bed, great A/C in the roomOther than those, I cannot rate the property higher The hot water in the room was non-existent, barely even lukewarm so showers were under a minute The bathroom door was a sliding door that has a rusting bathroom stall-like locking latch that looked as if it was hurriedly drilled in and barely worked
There was only one bath towel provided, and upon requesting for extras, you had to go get them yourself or wait for a full service clean the next dayCompared to other Home2 properties, this one has sadly missed the mark and was not worth the $100 a night for a Hilton property
Olugbenga
This is one of the worst experience I had with staying in an hotel For good 3nights they did not clean the room, change bedspread and supply towels I made several trip to the receptionist but still same nonchalant attitude
The guy that was at the reception on 27 and 28th was the worst front desk person I have ever encountered He is a bit light in complexion I had to quickly check out around 4am because I couldn’t stand it anymore Worst hotel services that I have ever seen If there is zero for service I would have given it
