Nicely appointed hotel View of a small lake out of our room window was just lovely The breakfast/bistro cafe need better hours, specifically in the mornings

Bistro cafe should remain open each morning until 11am for those of us who enjoy a late breakfast or brunch Enjoyed the gym Wish the outdoor pool was heated or there had been an indoor pool, as temps were in the 30s and 40s the week we were here Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating

Gina Cunicelli-Carlton

I’ve been here several times We always stay here when we go to Legoland and we have annual passes, so that is quite a few times Their staff has always been lovely

As a matter of fact, I’m pretty sure it’s the same people each time, so they do a good job of holding onto people The rooms are nice My only wish for the room would be that it would have a real couch or chair that could be a bit more comfortable It’s a bit of a strange wedge-shaped chair They don’t have pull-out couches or roll-away beds that can be brought to the rooms We didn’t know this the first time we went there, so we had 5 people for a 2 Queen room and my son was the odd man out He didn’t really have anywhere to sleep For 2 nights he attempted to sleep on the odd, wedge-shaped chair That was our fault for expecting the couch in the room, but we’d just come to expect it from this family of hotels Other than that, the Starbucks downstairs is also nice and convenient Of course, it’d be wonderful if they had a free continental breakfast, but they don’t The kids’ breakfast meals are fairly inexpensive though, and worth buying before heading out for the day to a park, etc Overall, I think it’s a nice, family friendly hotel that I’m sure we’ll be revisiting soon

Jen Velderman

Staff was gruff and abrupt Inquired about breakfast and a coffee and the bistro employee quickly asked if I wanted just regular coffee or a “latte or something” I just wanted coffee Asked about cream and she said she “just put it away”

I felt like a total inconvenience Room smelled reminiscent of animal urine/felt damp/musty Pretty view of the water Beds were comfortable and clean Lack of towels by the pool In general, it felt like we were bothering the staff by staying there and we had very limited interaction to begin with Location to Legoland was perfect, but lacking hospitality and living up to a typically strong Marriott brand

The room itself was fine – clean – and as advertised The service was good We were disturbed by the people next door arriving back at 1am and talking loudly and drinking in the room and outside the patio until about 4am

We also got a smell of cigarette smoke in the room from them – not sure whether from inside or outside It got quieter but they were still up at 6am Can’t really complain as they were just having fun like we would have done if we were younger, and not doing anything bad There is an IHOP for breakfast which was good

David Combee

Stayed 2 nights, upon leaving we always remove all sheets and covers and protectors from the bed to help ensure everything is changed out for next guest We found a large stain on the mattress it’s self(keep in mind they have 2-3 sheets and covers and a protective cover over the mattress), I seen house keeping and I showed then the stain she ssid it was fine they knew about it, days later after checking my CC statement I noticed an extra 300 charge so I called the hotel and asked what it was for and that is when she informed me it was due to a large blood stain in the center of the mattress, my kids slept in that and they have the nerve to openly rip us off

I’ve reported them and I’m not done calling and complaining to everyoneSpoken to manager and she stated she was the highest person I could talk to that she was the owner,so after explaining everything to her about how housekeeping told us there would not be a charge because she knew about the stain , the manager said shes charged us anyway I wonder how many people they have charged for this same spot

tawana viering

I found this place last minute after immediately checking out of a roach motel when I discovered a roach crawling across my sleeping infant The lady at the front desk was super nice and understanding, she accommodated me as best she could even though I couldn’t get a first floor room with my three children under three to carry up, not her fault The pool is nice and there’s even a little picnic table with outdoor grills, I really love the porches on the second floor rooms

Honestly if I had to complain about anything it would be that the vending machines don’t take credit cards Edit to add- I overheard part of a conversation approaching the front desk that they were understaffed with housekeeping but you honestly couldn’t tell! It’s not some fancy five star hotel but it is practically immaculate Housekeeping is up and down and back and forth for majority of the business part of the day and the two gentlemen that work here are always busy doing something every time I lay eyes on them In the four days that I’ve been here I’ve never seen a full trash can in the hallway but I have seen them vacuum the hallway carpet with carpet refreshinger every single day, clean doors and windows, little things that have all added up to an over all comfortable and clean stay

Homme de Towne

While it was only a three-star hotel, the accommodations were extremely luxurious I mean the room was just spoiling youBut good left a bit to be desired

The breakfast buffet was decent, nothing to write home about But for the price one would expect much better by way of food This is a consistent weakness of Hampton Inn The bed was exquisitely comfortable though, and the furniture was really nice, and everything was clean and well maintained I recommend it

Hayley Johnson

This is the only location I prefer to go to for my weekend getaways And every time I go, I’m always greeted by Kyle and another amazing employee at the front desk Such positive and kind people

They make it feel so welcoming Plus this location is always clean and clearly the cleaning staff always do such a great job, so shoutout to them Plus when I leave I always catch them in the halls and they always say good morning or how are you and it’s so sweet My all time favorite location ❤️

Patricia S C

The staff welcomed us and the check in process was very smooth The front desk staff was so nice! We got a room on the 5th floor very clean, comfortable The bath was stocked with the necessary toiletries , I was able to brew some coffee in the room

Just stayed at Homes2suites this weekend and had an amazing stay!! The entire place was very clean and the staff were all so nice and helpful no matter who we spoke to The location is perfect because it is close to so many stores and restaurants but yet it somehow still feels very private The breakfast is wonderful and I don’t think we would ever stay anywhere else when we visit Lakeland again

The manager is definitely doing a lot of things right with this place! I have stayed at numerous hotels the past 5 years and this was definitely one of the best stays and at the best rate Thank you!

Michelle Allen

I loved this hotel The rooms were big and super clean I loved having a full size refrigerator

Our softball team/family stayed here for a local tournament That was 13 families The patio space in front of the hotel was so nice The pool area was full one evening, so we able to be comfortable on the front patio The air conditioning worked well The staff did not seemed bothered by the multiples of young teenagers there There was more than just our team there It was nice they were understanding Great location with tons of food/shopping/entertainment options

Rachel Kimbler Music

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came here from Louisiana trying to relocate and didn’t expect to spend several weeks at a hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly! Especially Zamantha; the girl at the front desk! She was so kind to our family! The room was very clean and contemporary, and the breakfast was exceptional! Thank you Home 2 Suites for making our family feel at home 🤍🏡

We had a room booked for this hotel and got notice our event was cancelled less than 5 hours before check in due to weather They had every right to slam us with an early cancellation fee even though it wasn’t exactly our fault However, the were understanding and waved the fee

We will absolutely book with them again when the event is rescheduled

Tim Rappoccio

10 pm loading a uhaul all day Just looking for somewhere nice to rest 120 a night

Website says 50 dollars non refundable pet deposit They told us 75 Plus airport fee plus city of Lakeland fee Might as well let us pay for electric and water too 260 plus extra fees including a convenience fee All we wanted to do was sleep 6 and a half hours and check out

Jessica Hall

The front fest guy was overly loud and brown nosing The pool was disgusting and a disgrace for the Hilton brand The guest were allowed to have their pizza box dang near floating in the whirlpool

Those same guest were in the pool and whirlpool with regular tennis shoes on and staff was serving them, noticing it! I was the only person with a mask on and Florida residents have one of the highest cases of Covid19 in the country! The room wasn’t as clean as overtly expressed! Hilton has really lost its touch with modernization, cleanliness perception, and representation! I truly expected better as I’ve ALWAYS bragged and prided being a HH member!

IF I COULD PUT ZERO I WOULD when I tell you I highly do not recommend them, I HIGHLY DO NOT I was here for my job, and first things first only two of the ladies were nice, the two African American ladies

The First lady who checked me had no good customer Service and has an attitude until I had an issue now all of a sudden she wants to be nice and energetic My room had a huge roach a palmetto bug I call front desk she tells me she can’t send someone because maintenance is already left but she had me move me too another room thankfully the next day was my last night However, when I woke in the morning the new room had smaller medium sized roach in it These people need to do better what the maintenance and cleaning The place looks as if it’s clean but its very dirty Some of the towels in my new room had pubs on it The beds are not properly cleaned This place needs a lot of help And I have pictures and videos to prove I’m not just talking crazy or lying I really hope and pray that this place improve because it was nice

Sharon Dodsworth

We spent two nights and absolutely LOVED everything about it! We had two rooms One room for my Dad and one room for my husband and I and our two small dogs! We love that it is pet friendly! They have great accommodations for pet owners with grass areas and bag stations The rooms are spacious and clean!! The staff was AMAZING, friendly, helpful and accommodating!! The outdoor area for grilling and the fire pit area is beautiful! The location is perfect for dining, shopping, and a short drive to Tampa

We will definitely stay here again!!!

Alberto White

Stayed here in May when a nearby hotel had cockroaches and we needed a new one stat Front desk was great and they gave us a discount on the rate There was a mistake where we were accidentally double charged but it was easily sorted out with a phone call a few days later once we realized the issue

And refunded promptlyWould definitely stay here again if passing through

We got a Cabana room and man did I not regret the extra charge We had our own little patio with seating and direct access to the pool area The beds were very comfy and there was room for at least 6 people to sleep in the room

There was a room safe inside the huge walk-in closet The bar was nice and the bartender was cool The breakfast was the typical “free” hotel breakfast Fills an empty stomach I really enjoyed my stay, but our first night was kinda rough because the A/C stopped working in our room in the middle of the night They moved us to another room the next morning I was told by the front desk that they were going to discount the first night They didn’t, so they lost two stars because of thatUpdated 5/5/22: Thank you Marriott for your prompt response and rectification As I said, other than the A/C issue the hotel was great My review is changed to 5 stars to reflect that

Clayton Culbreth

Our stay here was wonderful The staff was always so great to us The rooms are very nice, updated, and they accommodate us with whatever we need

We spent 10 days in his area but only 2 nights at this hotel I wish we had spent the entire stay here The room was nicer and cleaner than the 2 other places we stayed and one of those places was a Disney resort

The service here was better and the staff was friendlier The price is as ten times Mrs better than either of the other places They were also very understanding of my disabled grandson If you are ever in this area I highly recommend this hotel

Jodi Walker

The hotel is nicely decorated I love the pull-out shelves and drawers Cleanliness is very important to me, and the room was very clean

The breakfast was very nice with a good selection The hotel staff is very helpfulThis hotel is dog friendly There is a $75 fee When I made the reservation and checked-in I planned on picking up my new puppy the day I checked-out I was asked to get him that night instead I was so happy to know that I was able to stay, and not have to find another place The front desk staff was very helpful when I checked in When I informed another front desk clerk of the addition of my puppy to the reservation, she was able to handle this efficiently

AMART4151

Rooms were extremely humid and smelled like moisture Shower head and air vent in bathroom did not work, and the sink was clogged I was thankful we only had to stay there one night

I encountered two ladies at different times in my stay last night at the desk Never have I met such professional, polite, nicely dressed front desk staff I have worked front desk at Hilton for many years and their service just blew me away

I encountered a small issue with my room, and they were so prompt in moving me to another room no questions asked They were shining exams of what Hilton hospitality should beThe hotel location, decoration and cleanliness was absolutely impeccable The ambiance of the hotel and restaurant was something out of a movie Just perfection The beds were soooo comfortable, bathroom beautiful The parking behind the hotel could use a bit more lighting for safety would be only point of improvementI would stay here again, and again, and again Management is doing an unbelievable job with this property Keep it up!

My son and I had a very nice day at the Holiday Inn express This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn express I found a hotel to be very neat, clean, tidy and the room to be very well set up

The air conditioning was ice cold, which is always a great thing in a hotel room Surprisingly, the bedsheets were the most comfortable bedsheets I can remember sleeping in, And I have stayed in some pretty expensive hotels So, overall this was a great day and I would gladly come back and stay again

Chyane Jiron

It’s a nice hotel, we usually stay here when in town The staff is nice and the rooms are clean, however we arrived a little after 11 last night and the front doors were locked for some reason We stood outside ringing the bell for about 5 minutes before having to walk to the back where the pool is to get inside

The breakfast is good and there’s a checkers on the other side of the parking lot for late night munchies

Shannon Beaumont

This hotel is my home away from home! I love in Tallahassee and visit my children and grandchildren frequently, so this is where I stay This trip was a little different I was only expecting to stay for 3 days, however, I got very sick and have had to extend 3 more days

I don’t know what I would do without Jessie and Victoria They went above and beyond for me Jessie making sure I was ok, and Victoria bringing me breakfast and essential items Thanks girls! You’re the best!

We felt so at home and welcome at this hotel! We reserved a King bed suite and we found it to be very nice, very clean, and comfortable The whole facility was really clean and everything was updated

nothing shabby or in poor condition The couch bed (that we put our son on) was extremely comfortable and we all slept well Breakfast was great, good coffee and all the staff were accommodating and kind We stayed two nights, and I was surprised when I came back from a quick errand the 2nd day and found our trash had been taken and the bed remade and fresh pillows! We were visiting relatives and when we come back I’ll be sure to book with them again!

Let me start off and say

they have great customer service! The older gentlemen at the front desk held a friendly conversation with me during the check-in process, the lady in the breakfast area was nice, one of the maids spoke to me while walking to my room Upon walking in my room it smelled really fresh and cleaned pulled back the sheets and it was great to see that this hotel uses mattress protectors that covers the whole mattress Now the room need just a little updating especially the tub but other than that I slept like a baby and felt comfortable in the room This will be my hotel of choice when I have to do a layover in Lakeland

John

Great Great service, the gentleman named Carl should be the GM of the place I called the day before and he took really good care of my family and myself Not only did he take care of us he also took care of my buddy and his family as well and got us rooms right across from another

Once we arrived he (Carl) gave us first class service, very helpful knowledgeable It’s been a long time since we had phenomenal customer service, thank you Carl for the absolute best service Highly recommend this place because of himThe hotel is very clean and recommend it to anyone who wants piece of mind

I wanted to take a minute to leave a review of one of the most outstanding experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel stay There is a gentleman by the name of Jackie at your Winter Haven location who went above and beyond to help myself and my family have an extremely amazing experience People like him set the entire experience apart from other hotels I have stayed at

However much you are paying Jackie I can assure you that it is not enough This gentleman has a very special energy and attention to detail and went out of his way to help my two children have a memorable experience during our stay at Legoland Please give him a raise and do what you can to help keep him around before another company figures out how invaluable he is

The hotel was clean, the food was surprisingly very good and our room was great We stayed for a week The only negative thing I can say is, when staying a week, the in room gift was the same everyday But such a small thing, overall the stay was fantastic

Fantastic property with great staff and rooms Definitely a great location for a family vacation Pools, restaurants and bars close at 9pm, so the hotel gets pretty quiet after that

Lego pits around every corner keep kids entertained and engaged Workshops (if you can reserve a spot) are awesome Michelle was a great master builder, made my kids trip better! Definitely recommend!

Awesome place for the kids, everything is geared towards them This is our second visit, and the kids talk about it for years after Adults be aware everything shuts down at 9pm

Included breakfast is the best you’ll find anywhere The heated pools are awesome They have a pajama party for the kids every evening Try to go to the park during the week We were able to stay on some rides for a second time with no wait during the week On the weekend everything was a decent wait

Spent 4 full days at the resort Over all, our 8 year old had a great time The two of us had a good time, especially seeing him have fun

At the resort, we had breakfast included, then got the all inclusive for lunch Only complaint about food was the missing healthy choices in the park Salad seemed to be non existent except in the water park Every thing is geared toward the 10 and under group Which is good since the lines are short When at the resort, look for free master builder events that happen each dayFor the resort hotel, the rooms were clean and well decorated with the kid in mind They have putt putt, smores at night and kids geared live entertainment (don’t worry there is a bar at both areas)I would suggest including 2-3 days at LegoLand during a trip to Florida, especially if you want a less crowded resort to get a little down time, but still be able to tire the kids out

* To start withwe are 75 yrs old my husband is a 100% disabled Vietnam Vet

We have used this Best Western numerous times before and have been very satisfiedthis time 06/17 thru 06/20 was absolutely horrible! I had made our reservation a month ahead of time but was not told of renovations that were going to be happening My husband has heart problems and Parkinsons so I have to do all the driving After driving in 90+ heat for 6 hours we were looking forward to getting to the hotel and taking a nap We were assigned a room in a hall and next door to rooms that were being worked on All we could hear was hammers beating and loud drills so forget taking a nap The elevator we went up on we actually thought was a service elevator because it had quilts hanging on walls and was full of dust from sheet rock When we stepped out of the elevator we had to walk on plastic and be careful not to trip on extension cords all over the hall We came to Auburndale Florida because we have had 7 deaths in our family in the last two years and because of Covid have not been able to come down to be with the family Finally we got to come for a Memorial service and needed some quiet time after a very emotional day but what did we find hammering and drilling and loud talking In our bathroom when you stepped in the bathtub it felt like it was not attached to the floor it had a cracking noise and would give under your feetwe were afraid to use it The pressure in the toilet was hardly enough to flush * After paying $550 for a 3 night stay (using our points) we will never use this or any Best Western again and we told all of our relatives not to recommend this hotel to anyone else that needed a place to stay

The rate for this hotel stay was too high for just an “ok” room There is nothing exceptional about this place It is clean, but everything is outdated

Housekeeping does an excellent job but the place still looks shabby For what I paid, I expected a better looking place The “bathfitter” tub made crackling noises which was disturbing A constant banging noise (like thumping) kept me awake for hours A chaise lounge in the room was comfortable but leather seat had lots of tears and bare spots I put a towel over it before sitting Careless management I do not plan to stay here again

Awful experience and not sure how this hotel had actually pretty great reviews on Expedia makes me think they are all fake reviewsI just stayed here with my three kids 6,4, and 15m They placed us on the second floor that is being completely remodeled and the dust was absoulutely awful

Our door handle was left with finger marks which shows how much dust is in the air on that floor and the room smelled dusty as well I don’t think anybody should be placed on that floor while they are working on it let alone a family with a baby It’s not good for anybody to breathe that in The tub in the shower must have been cracked underneath because every step you took was such a loud creaking noise Not worth the price paid for the night at allI’m okay with the one star only because the continental breakfast was better than most these days

Not what I expectedWhile the front desk staff are very sweet & helpful and that’s very much appreciated, this hotel is in desperate need of refurbishmentThe first room we were given was extremely dirty

Dirt all over the floor and carpet, stains on the counters in the kitchen and bathroom (and on the tv), etcThe second room while a little better, was far from clean There were dirty spots on the walls and in the kitchen The couch had several strands of hair, as well as lots of dirt on it Walking barefoot on the carpet produced dirty and black feet Ew!The worst was the pull out mattress Stains all over itI asked for clean sheets and received torn yellow ones

Outstanding! Being a pet friendly facility I was wondering how clean the rooms would be, they were immaculate!Beautiful facility, we will be using them again To you pet owners, clean up after your pet! You are not special, clean it up! I had to clean two pair of shoesNot the hotels fault, just selfish lazy pet owners
