OTHER THAN THE SUPERIOR STAFF, this was the definition of averageThe staff bumped it up, the lack of parking due to the semis, trucks, truck and trailer combos taking up half or more of the parking knocked it back down There are better Marriott properties

There may be better Marriott employees, but I don’t travel a lot5 stars to the staff here Pay attention Marriott, and read above We like to be kind, they were even better and understanding2 stars for the room at that price1 star or less on the parking Work a deal with the neighbors at Wendy’sAgain, kudos to the staff here I imagine they take a ton of flak For what we paid for that room, they deserve raisesWe had to parallel park on the back wall due to a recommendation from an employee Our car was neither damaged nor WORSE, towed Said he had to do it all the timeThank you sir

We arrived to check in at 8:05 PM and the front desk worker, DJ, was unable to check us in and he needed to find the manager He left the front desk for about 15 minutes, returned unable to find the manager and left We stayed in the lobby and I called the toll-free customer service

All the representative was “able “to do was give me the number of the local hotel Which did no good because the phone was ringing off the hook and nobody was there to answer it The customer service representative was unable or unwilling to forward my call to anybody else Fortunately a worker who was scheduled to start working at midnight showed up at 8:55 PM and initially told us there were no rooms available Our reservations were made two months prior, which he could see on his computer screen He did manage to find a room and the only saving grace is that the room was perfect The customer service at this branch is despicable!

I would love to give this park a 4 or 5 rating It is a beautiful park, generous size RV sites, most shaded, many with beautiful views, plenty of wildlife But the restroom/shower facilities are bad

There’s a sign on the facilities, they are cleaned only once a week, thats gross and not sufficient One bathroom had feces on the floor, some shower stalls had missing hardware, or none at all No soap in any bathroom, with what transpired with covid, people can’t properly wash their hands!? Also difficult to find RV Site, numbers missing or faded The floating docks had broken handrailsif and when the water levels return, that’s not safe This is a beautiful location, COE can do better

April Williams

This is our favorite place to camp at Lake Belton There are lots of shaded camping spots and lots of fun wild life to see like deer, roadrunners and turkeys We always bring our boat and love this limestone lake

Its clear and clean There is a nice boat ramp at this park and nice playgrounds for the kids My boys always bring their bikes and love to ride around The park is well maintained and we have never had issues with loud noises We are going on our 4th year of camping here and it never disappoints

I went on an annual weekend getaway with a group of ladies that have been lifelong friends Through the years we have stayed at several Bed and Breakfasts, but the Yellow House was the most amazing! Rooms in the main house and several separate small cabins and old houses have been updated and decked out in vintage decor If you go as a family you can have your own little house and if you go with a large group, the gathering spaces and kitchens are ideal

And, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Sara and James, the owners and innkeepers! Very attentive without being in the way Sara has studied at a culinary school and the food we were served in the large cook’s table style kitchen and dining room was outstanding! Definitely not your typical boring fruit and pastry B & B fare! Croissant strawberry bread pudding for breakfast one morning with Mimosas We also had dinner there one night with several courses including beef or pork tenderloin and wine and loved it as much as any fine restaurant Whether you are a couple, a family or a larger group, this charming Salado getaway is perfect for everyone! We plan to go back next year!

Charlene Reeves

I don’t know where to start in describing my stay (with 11 friends) at the Yellow House EVERYTHING was perfect: from Kleenex in EVERY room to scrumptious meals to comfortable beds and linens to condition of accommodations to available soft drinks and water to the innkeepers Sara and James You name it, and it is provided

It was so great that my group will be returning next year We get together every year, and this is the best we have experienced since 1999 Book it!

Allie Folger

We had our wedding here in June and everything was perfect!! Their wedding packages are unbeatable- and their Barn is absolutely stunning!! The owners are so kind and thoughtful with what they did with the place There are many spots around the venue that work perfectly for a ceremony and plenty of parking for up to 75 people My sister and I stayed the night before and woke up to an amazing home cooked breakfast as well

I could not have asked for a better day!

This place is what I assume Austin is was like before their big boom A really cool vibe in the rooms, pool and a nice bar by the pool Beautiful trees and landscaping

The pool was lovely and the area is super cute The staff seemed nice, but you could tell they were stressed and understaffed (very common right now) They say they can do breakfast but 1) it’s very limited with just tacos and basic coffee and 2) they said they’d take 1-15 hours to arrive, so I’d recommend a cute cafe nearby Dinner was nice though! Check in was at 3, but my room wasn’t ready until 3:30 (another sign they’re understaffed) Rooms were clean and had a very cool vibe Loved the patio I will definitely be back

Rachel Hanses

This place feels like a step back in time The pool is amazing, the rooms are adorable and the pool bar lounge area is brand new The new owners have done so many cool things

The negative reviews are knit picky of a small business doing their best The service, the amenities and the grounds are gorgeous We loved it so much that we’re pool members now

Denise Martin

This hotel is so unique, we wish we could have stayed longer The beds were super comfortable! The road noise was not bad at all (as we’ve read in other reviews regarding this property) We tried the restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was great

We can’t wait to go back to this property for a longer stay We give it a thumbs up

My coworker and I stayed here for the night on the 14th of may 2022 everything about the hotel was great clean beds clean rooms good breakfast The reason I am only rating this as a two star rating is because my coworker ran into a problem with the lady who was working the night shift she wouldn’t believe him when he said he had a room already and she called the cops on him all because he’s black I found this very racist and very disrespectful he had even already been in the room I had thought very good of the place until this incident occurred but now… I will never stay at this hotel again I’m very disgusted with how this lady handled things and very disappointed in this company for allowing a woman like this to deal with customers on a daily bases

A. Anderson

The room is fairly clean (beside the white curtain has mold), the reception area is nice, the pool is next to the tree so not too hot in the afternoon The room comes with free breakfast and kids love making their own Texas shape waffles The front desk was very friendly!Overall it is a fine hotel

If it is not because of the curtains and the noisy AC I would give it a five stars

James Dukes

Customer service was excellent

room was very clean and I’m super picky towels were very white and clean Furniture in the room very clean The only negative thing I have to say was the cable didn’t work But the manager told me that when I checked inthey had a cable guy working on it I appreciate the honesty and transparency from management

A nice clean room Decent hot breakfast Pool isn’t open

No shampoo provided Asked front desk for some, & they explained they are out and must adhere to “brand standards,” that they cannot simply just put any shampoo in the room to replace unavailable shortages No accommodation was provided No alternative offered This was a sub-par customer service experience at an otherwise well run hotel, especially given the price includes such amenities as soap, shampoo, & a pool Too bad my experience wasn’t perfect

Jamie Slaughter

Arrived at 2:30am on a Sunday morning Had already stopped at 3 other hotels No vacancy

The night desk attendant (maleI failed to get his name) was sooo nice & accommodating He was advised that we were Diamond Select members & immediately went into action to insure I was placed in a room Best Western is our choice hotel, but, not being familiar with Temple, I did not know that it was so close to my target destination Kudos to the night desk clerk

Very large rooms almost like apartments big bathrooms ice makers in the large refrigerators dishwasher the laundry rooms are all free no it does not have a pool but the luxury of having an apartment while you are away on business is more than enough Yes I would recommend this place to anyone that is having to stay for more than 3 to 4 days

Edgardo Guzman

Stayed here for one night in room 207 The second floor hallway had a really strong rotten moldy smell Room smelled ok though

The bathroom had a mold spot on the ceiling (see picture), The shower head stream was so strong it felt like it could take your skin off and with no way to adjust it Also you could hear every step the people in the room took you took (very thin walls) Very annoying No breakfast Very expensive for what’s offered Will not stay here again

My stay here was comfortable I’ve stayed at better looking La Quinta Inns but this one night stay ahead of a meeting served its purpose My room was close to the roadway so the noise was constant

The bed was rather comfortable so it made up for the noise The front desk agents were very friendly and pleasant to work with

RRena Patterson

I want to say this place have a very friendly & compassionate staff We booked the meeting room & 7 rooms for a funeral Had to make several changes over the week, last minute cancellation etc without any added stress

Not sure any other place would’ve been this accommodating, understanding & compassionate John Jessie, & Sarah dealt w several calls a day from me over a week without ever giving me an attitude Full Breakfast, coffee , drinks & cookies throughout the day Clean! One lady ask what time our celebration of life would be so she could be sure to have the hallway cleaned & shinny before the guests arrived I chatted w her about the loss of her loved ones Made us feel at home & never felt rushed It was awesome to have a place to catch up with family & friends some came from out of state We are truly grateful

Truly wonderful stay! We needed a few days and a room that was wheelchair friendly They were more than happy to accommodate us Everyone was very friendly and if we had a challenge because of my chair, they were quick to help out

They might be a bit difficult to find and a touch older hotel than others, but they are more than worth it!!

I was very disappointed in this hotel We had driven all night and had made our reservation through Hotwire We had 4 adults and when making the reservation had 2 choices: King Size Bed or ” The Hotel will pick for you” with the guarantee that they would pick a bed that would fit your party

Well after driving 17 hours and expecting to be able to immediately go to bed, we discover that there is only a room with a king size bed and pull out sofa left Not only did we have to make our own bedbut the pullout only comfortably fits one adult the only other option besides sleeping on the floor was to have my legs from the knee down, hang off the L shaped sofa alongside of the pullout bedThe lobby was loud and had the feel of a airportand the carpet looked like it could use a good vacuum Not at all worth the 16000 Be careful with Hotwire in particular as they make it sound really good for the hot rate, when in fact it is not The only saving grace was the staff who was helpful

5 STAR Review!!! Hilton Garden Inn made my son’s Wedding Weekend the very best When I arrived, I was greeted by San Juana who knew who I was and the 12+ Rooms we had all reserved all on the same top floor as I requested She was a total professional and greeted me with exceptional customer service, care, and concern in checking me in as rooms were becoming available as my family parties arrived

Abby (special events manager) who I had spoken by phone allowed us to place our rehearsal cake and cookies in the restaurant refrigerator while we decorated the venue for the rehearsal dinner Austin who continued to check in more of my family as they arrived was flawless and extremely professional and caring, all with a smile Linda (restaurant manager) who was so caring and concerned and went beyond the call, assisted my sister-in-law with repairing our rehearsal dinner cake where the decorative roses had fallen off the side a 6 layered round cake All in a team effort, San Juana, Austin, and Linda made our entire wedding weekend stay made my family feel welcomed, cared for, and made our hotel stay as we were the only guests staying there I have not felt that special as a VIP in sometime The hotel staff was Exceptional and deserve Recognition and Accolades for a job very well done Thank you so much for making my son’s wedding weekend accommodations for our large family a complete success My family came as guests, but we left as friends Thanks Again for the wonderful warm hospitality, your care and concern All the Best!!! Well maintained place and great property The staff is amazing! And welcomed us and our entire party with true hospitality! Big shout out to Pearl, Alma, Austin, Trey, and the entire front desk and F/B staff for the great service! (Sorry to everyone we forgot names of) We are in the business and know how hard your job is, and keeping a smile is everything

We will be back! Cheers

The hotel is within walking distance of the hospital, several restaurants, and CVS as well as a very short drive to the mall and grocery storeThe rooms are nicely done and very comfortable, though I found the beds to be a bit hard There is a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker (K-cup)

The breakfast is pretty good You can get eggs to order, as well, as french toast or pancakes They also offer several other hot items on the buffet, breads (the muffins were very moist and delicious), fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea among a few other itemsOverall the hotel is very nice There are several areas around the hotel to enjoy outdoor seating, however keep in mind you will have to share the space with the smokers
