INCREDIBLY NICE STAFF Seriously, they were wonderful and should be recognized and are the sole reason for the 3 stars The room, however, was disgusting

Blood on the pillow, brown stains on the sofa and the office chair (let’s assume it was coffee), and rust on the cutlery Room smelled like smoke even though it was non smokingThe gym looked really good with updated equipment, for what it is worth

Mira Lieberman

The staff was nice and the beds were comfortable I was rather surprised that the sofa was torn and stained and looked like someone pulled it out of a dumpster For the price of the rooms, they should replace the sofa which is why I only gave it three stars

It’s just hard to feel like the environment you are spending time in was worth spending over a thousand dollars to stay here for a week when the sofa looks like this

Brittney Jones

As a Hilton Diamond member I usually prefer to stay at Home2’s when I travel I enjoy the room sizes and amenities However, this trip and my last trip to one to San Antonio, I think I’m done with Home2

The over all cleanliness of the rooms are just substandard This room had stains on everything The bed, the lamp shade, the couch and the carpet floors were covered in something sticky For the amount you pay a night, they should be able to afford to have someone properly clean these rooms

This Hyatt Place is amazing; well run and friendly staff! After checking in, we were impressed by the clean and well stocked rooms with a lovely view of the pool and beach across the street The lobby has so many sitting areas to enjoy a cocktail at night or gulf view for breakfast The heated pool and hot tub made it enjoyable to swim and n chilly weather or you could sit by the fire pit and warm up

Would have loved to have stayed longer! Bravo to management and staff!!

The lobby and meeting area is beautiful and modern The room not so much It was clean and in good repair but you could tell the age of the hotel

The ac/heater was VERY loud and sounded as if it was on its last leg The bathroom was tiny and the mattress was not what we generally I’m experience in our Marriott stays I had wanted to stay here near the harbour for a long time now and I am so glad I did not pay summer prices for it Not horrible just not what I have come to expect from my Marriott stays

Michael Crain

Every staff member we met was a friendly personality with an aptitude the service Thank youFacility itself is in good shape with a uncommonly huge pool

Everybody loved itThe rooms were OK Although the air conditioning units produce a massive amount of water on the carpet with the humidity outside It felt like half the room you had to walk barefoot to keep from soaking your socksAlso there were items left in the room from the previous guest As in two coolers food, and socks

Mary Kelley

The view is great and the rooms are clean The beds are flat and felt like they needed to be replaced a few years ago The a/c unit is loud, but it works so the room stayed nice and cool

The service is friendly and attentive I’d give them 5 stars if they had a better bed As someone who travels often, a good mattress in a hotel is a big deal!

Loving this hotel definitely glad we picked this one! We here now and the food amazing guest service is amazing only thing I hate is the rooms don’t have a microwave but that’s small thing I ask this housekeeper named Diane for some towels and she took great care of us The view is amazing! I love this place and I’m glad we choose this hotel and definitely coming back!

Ramonda Griffin

This casino never seems to look clean to me We also used to love their buffet but it hasn’t been up to par lately The lobster tasted like hit dog water and was a tough as leather

When you drive 3 hours to eat this buffet, and pay over $40 per person, you expect the food to be worth the price and the drive sadly it’s not We were a party of 7 We are there 2 times and the food sucked both times We will not waste our trip on their buffet again any time soon

Nancy Klaja

The room was very nice I would have preferred having a shelf in our shower to hold personal items Definitely a design flaw

I felt safe here and the staff was very friendly They had plenty of slots to play in the casino The location was right across the street from the bay We didn’t have a bay view room but our view was of the pools And we did enjoy the bay

Don’t have too much fun If you do security will ask if you have a room and ask to go to your room When I go to casino’s I like to have a few drinks, relax and have a good time

I have been to other property’s and never had this experience I was playing on the beach side and had been playing for hours Not wining at all just trying to relax and have some fun Island view seems to cater to the older crowd I won’t be going back there They have too many other choices of casino’s where I am gamble without being embarrassed and ask if I had a room and to stop playing I know when I need to stop playing The table was closed right after this If they wanted to close the table, I would have stopped playing without three security people coming behind the table asking if I had a room and asking me to go to the room

Lee Jordan

Love to play at IV Last time we stayed the rooms in the main hotel were in desperate need of updates and three of the four elevators were not working One of the hostesses at C&G gave us a fob for dinner (30 minute wait) and did not put us on the list so had we not went and asked we would have never been alerted

After we were seated the service was great The food is delicious at C&G so it is worth a little wait

Keleigh Smith

We were in town visiting the casino and decided to get a bite to eat We had eaten at the Diner before, so we decided to eat there The line was long, so we decided to sit at the bar to avoid waiting in that line

We were greeted by Christina, who was very friendly She took our order after getting our drinks The kitchen seemed to be understaffed, so the food was taking longer than usual Michael came in to help Christina and the two of them helped each other to make sure our experience was great I just wanted to make sure these two employees get recognized for their great customer service

StayWell room is worth it! The casino and hotel are amazing overall! Very spacious and well appointedLots of restaurants and things to do aside from gambling See my attached photos

Our stairwell room had a wonderful smell when we arrived The water filter on the shower was very effective and the water was hot in 30 seconds No waitingAir purifier also kept the room smelling and feeling very clean with low humidityWe think the biggest bonus of the stairwell room is the bed which appeared to be memory foam Created a excellent night sleepWe are not gamblers but there was still plenty to do: the gym is huge and well appointed with work out machines and free weights and a lot of treadmills etc The gym is facing the pool area too so it’s very niceThe pool area was fairly spacious and had a lot of servers making sure you have drinks all the time and are happy

Okay so here is my candid reviewUpon entering the building, I saw a man smoking a cigarette I told myself “Maybe he couldn’t wait, being that he was walking towards the outside doors

” However, as I kept walking towards the hotel elevators, I saw that a lot of people were smoking I guess it’s a casino thingIs it a thing? This was my 1st time at a casino and it was interesting I didn’t understand any of the games and what to do to win Guess what? I did win some money You also get free alcoholic beverages while you’re playing on the machines That was cool!My room was nice and neat The pool area is nice as well There is a bar and a jacuzzi as well The weather was perfect this weekend tooThe only personal complaint I have is the smoking I don’t smoke and I hate to smell it and/or smell like it That cheapened the hotel experience for me Apart from that, I had a good experience

Mary Catalanotto

Stayed here recently with two young kids and it was not comfortable at all To be honest I wouldn’t stay here even if I was traveling without any kidsPros: The water in the room was hot

Front desk and housekeepers were very nice and friendlyCons:Valet service was closedOnly one bell hop was working which is fine, I can bring up my own luggage, however, no additional luggage carts were available My poor husband had to make four trips up and down the busy elevators to bring up all our stuff3 elevators are available to service guests Good luck if you catch it around a busy timeSet the room at 68 and it never got cold, just felt like it was only blowing airNo microwave in the room, $30 additional charge to get oneBeds were creaky and hard

monique territa

The room was nice and clean! But it was the customer service I received that lead me to this review From check in to check out was fabulous! I was traveling alone and as a lady I was very cautious When asked I was escorted to the room with a manager, unfortunately I did not get his name

But at Infusions, I did get to know them and complimented the service You know COVID has taken the pleasantness from lots of people in the service area, however every time I was greeted by Terry, is was a smile and small talk When I asked to meet the night manager, he thought he did something wrong When Nancy came out, I had to let her know her employees, who are hard to come by, were a pleasure Brandon and Terry went above and beyond! My Spirit in people had started to diminish but not at IP When I left that falling spirit was lifted as high as can be Thank you my friends for make my trip comfortable and peaceful Mama needed a break from home, and what a blessing I received!!

Love the atmosphere of this casino Its light and happy and not dark and gloomy Love the ceiling

They also have the best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had! We ate at Under the Oak and Crystal provided great service We were here last October and came back this past week just for the sandwich! Had fun on the slots too

Anthony Bush

The Hotel was very nice and decorated great It is very bright and Although we didn’t have much luck at winning ($200) there were others who won thousands during the week I didn’t think the ratios of money spent versus winnings were substantial enough but I know it’s all luck anyway

There were times I would spend $100 at one machine and not win anything other than the money bet for each spinAs others mentionedI didn’t really like the fact that you had to show ID every time you wanted to go back up to your room Especially when you come down to grab a drink and then go right back upThe Bellhop Roscoe was outstanding He was very courteous and knowledgeable on how the rooms are setup He will show you how to turn on the TV, operate the automatic blinds and even show you how the shower settings work He will also tell you where the restaurants are located and which he thinks has the best foodThere is another gentleman at the entrance into the Casino who is a pleasure to talk to He got to know us and called us his family every day we’d see him He remembered where we are from and suggested we come back during the “Cruising the coast” car showThe food was outstanding and we ate there almost every day for brunch and dinner

Keith Poole

My wife and I visited for the day get to check out the Casino after friends telling us how nice it was We absolutely loved the atmosphere, the cleanness, service, and restaurants Even the prices at the restaurant and shops were very reasonable, which we loved! We didn’t get a chance to see the rooms, but just what we saw from the casino and reception area, we’ll definitely consider spending tie here in the future! Job well done!

I just returned from a 5 day stay at the Palace It was a great vacation My room was great, clean and spacious

The best part was the smoke free environment Someone in our group had an issue at one of the Craps tables and I never got my $25 bonus money for the slot machines but nothing is perfect I would give the gambling a 35 out of 5 The casino staff was some of the friendliest and engaging I have ever seen There is plenty of security and they are just as good to converse with

Phillip Smart

I like to stay here mainly because of the smoke free environment The staff is always friendly and courteous There is never a long line to check in

The casino itself is not that big, but big enough There aren’t enough food options in my opinion There are two sit-down type restaurants and one deli type place For those people who like to stay up all hours of the night gaming, I don’t know if there are superior food options at this particular place The beds are usually top notch, although sometimes you can get a rough bed

Abby Blue

Their buffet was excellent so many things to choose from… basically something for everyone

Beautiful area you can see the Biloxi – Ocean springs bridge lights all lit up it’s a very pretty site Remember it is a smoke free casinoAnd if you are looking for top shelf liquor in your drinks they have a lot of medium liquors available to pour from of course a beer is always the safest thing to order

We appreciated the free parking when we arrived Check-in was fine You have use the bell service to use the luggage cart which just means you need to tip someone to do something you are perfectly capable of doing yourself

The rooms were VERY dated Our room faced a parking lot, but we were only there for 2 days so not a big deal No security using the elevator which is usual at a casino hotel There is no daily room service, but there is an envelope to leave a tip for …well, I’m not sure what since we made our own bed every day The phone in the room did not work, so we were unable to call down to the front desk or request bell service when we left We finally just used our cell phones to make a request They met our expectations of cleanliness and comfort The room was quiet and we got a good nights sleep I recommend this hotel if you are just there for the casino, but if you are sightseeing it’s not near much

D H

This should be read with a somewhat understanding of the current labor shortageHotel is in need of some serious upkeep Rooms felt uncleaned and were very cramped for space

Sheets were worn and frayed, but the bed was overall comfortable and smelled cleaned Very dim lighted bathroomCasino was quite the let down Dealers were nice and pit bosses were easy going, for the most part That being said, if you’re looking for 24/7 gaming action, you will be in for a let down Not only did they only have 1 table open per game, they also shut down card games after 1am Slot action was decent but with limited options and play levels Additionally, if you fancy liquid refreshments of any kind while you play, you might want to bring your own beverages While the wait staff was very friendly, they were severely short-staffed and spread quite thinAll in all, if you just want a bed and a daytime place to try your luck, this is not a bad place for the priceAlso, it seems fair to say that this area has been hit pretty hard by the economic and atmospheric storms over the years and does appear to be in “rebuild” phase

Dorothy McPeek

The hotel is in a great location The rooms are well kept There is not a microwave or refrigerator in the rooms, however you can rent one for 10

00 a day Towels are available upon request The meals at the mix and mingle were very good, however again you pay for those yourself The slots are very tight, so gamble accordingly The staff is very attentive and helpful The pool area is very nice and well kept, except for the long tubing which cost 900 each Again use common sense

Loved the pictures of the White House Hotel online When I read the hotel’s history I was hooked Booked through the hotel’s website

Wanted a specific view from the room We got exactly what we hoped for Our room was enormous All of the staff was very professional Order an “Old Fashioned” at the bar It was perfect The food we ordered from Cora’s Restaurant was amazing Love, love the pool We would definitely recommend this hotel Felt very old school classy without being pretentious

Stayed four nights I did not experience the restaurant, but two nights in a row I had a nightcap at the bar, and watching some of the other patrons receiving food made my mouth water!! I had limited interaction with the staff, but those I did were very friendly, and helpful when askedThe room was on the back side, so my view was the parking lot, but it was only a few steps to the front where you could sit on the front porch, or sit on a balcony overlooking the pool area, or down at the pool itself

LovelyConvenient to most everything in the area Thank you, and I would not hesitate to stay again

The Almanett Hotel & Bistro has to be one of my all time favorite restaurant on the Gulf Coast They serve the best Spinach Dip, Lollipop Lamb, Mac& Cheese and Catfish I can go on and on about this place

What I enjoy even more is the customer service Everyone is always pleasant and constantly willing to accommodate you in anywayMy “Spotlight Person” goes to 2 beautiful ladies; Bo and Angel!!!! These two ladies are amazing to have serve you when visiting the Almanett They energy is amazing, they always smiling and they have the ability to make you feel “welcome” They are very knowledgeable about the menu and are good with paring things together Ask them anything and I’m sure they will point you in the right directions Please drop in and enjoy the experience I had, make sure you say to Bo and Angel Always remember “Just Be” kind to them He

$8 for a tiny cup of gumbo that really didn’t have any flavor past the taste of peppersOther than that, everything else was great The fried shrimp were well seasoned and had great flavor despite being a touch overcooked

The collards were just like grandma used to make and the cornbread was perfectThe bread pudding was close to the best I’ve tastedService was on point and made sure I was back out in time to get back to work

We were greeted by Mike!! Pleasant smile and a welcoming spirit My mom and daughter was thrilled with the home environment of the cottage, Sandy! The food was delicious 😋 from the restaurant, especially the Lollipop Lamb Chops The location is very convenient

We visited the Aquarium which is within walking distance, exactly two blocks And the view of the beach from the Hotel balcony was spectacular! We will be visiting again soon! Overall, a great family vacation!!

This hotel is a gem amongst some good competition I’ve stayed at several of the casino hotels on the coast; however, this hotel is now my favoriteThe appointments are of the early 1940s rat pack era and and come across as sophisticated

My 2 bedroom suite was great The living area, rooms, and bathrooms were of nice proportions and overall roomy The room was very clean and had some cool decorThe hotel staff was friendly and sent me a text to check on things – nice touchThe location is great as it is within walking distance to the Beau, Hard Rock, and downtown BiloxiThe pool area looked impressive, but it was too cold to swimThe bar had a nice selection of wines, but food was limited – perhaps due to economic factorsAs stated, I will choose this hotel over its competition due to its price, value, and sophisticated look/appeal

I loved this hotel until the weekendRooms were great and the staff was wonderful However

The hotel plays music throughout the hallways that can be heard in the roomsDuring the week the music was not audible in the rooms until 8 am (which is still rather early) and could not be heard after 9 pm However on Friday night the music continued loud all night The front desk would not reduce the volume saying it was the same as all other nightsIf you are good with music playing while you are trying to sleep then this is a great place to stay If not, you may want to look elsewhere

Our stay there was very last minute planning

Baton Rouge to BiloxiLocated on the beach highway We had a great view of the gulf (of Mexico) from our room! They had the amenities that I was primarily interested in on-site gym, very important; and a poolNo breakfast included but several great restaurants nearby within 2-milesThe motif of the hotel was TV legends specifically The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, etc) Lots of black & white prints throughoutIt has the feel of a boutique hotel The room was modern, spacious and tastefully accentedThe Hard Rock was a 5-minute walk awaySecure, perimeter enclosed parkingAll levels of staff, very courteous! We would definitely stay again!

Room and amenities were great The view was wonderful Great pool area and wonderful access to the beach

The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the continental breakfast It was lacking For the price I would like to have seen waffles, breakfast meats, something with sustenanceOther than that this place was amazing Staff is super friendly and fixed our reservation error ( not their error) quickly

Leila Adkins

I would give this hotel 45 stars if I could The staff was extremely nice! Some of the nicest I’ve met at any hotel

The hotel was very clean, smelled great and was in a perfect location The room was a great size and we enjoyed the view They also have a bar area you can sit at and enjoy music on the weekends They do have a pool but we did not go to it because it was kinda small and there was a lot of people there Since the hotel is on the beach, the pool didn’t really matterThe only things I did not like was the bathroom door was broken and the breakfast is no longer a real, hot breakfast It is muffins, bagels and cereal Having myself, my husband and our two sons in one room, a working bathroom door is necessary I can understand the breakfast being changed though with all of the restaurants that have popped up around the hotel What they did offer worked for us but we were expecting an actual breakfast so that was a little disappointingWe would definitely stay here again!

Jessica

Hotel was great Great view and loved our room Staff was super nice

BUT, whoever the lady is who PROTECTS the breakfast is awful She watched over our shoulder, couldn’t pour our own milk, and while making my coffee I had my items on the counter and she’s yelling at me I need to clean it I haven’t even moved yet She is absolutely awful and will probably be the reason I couldn’t ever come back Hotel would be AMAZING if she didn’t work there
