This is an exceptional hotel in my opinion My room on the first floor near the door was in a quiet location The room was spacious and cheery

There were various types of pillows on the bed so I was able to select one that suited me the best Although I had to search for the microwave and refrigerator because the desk clerk didn’t tell me anything and there was no directions in the room I finally found it in a cupboard low to the floor Elderly person or one with disabilities might have a hard time operating the microwave since it is so low to the floor I like the fact that the hair dryer was in a bag on a hook behind the door rather than mounted on the wall The shower was quite spacious with glass doors There was a seat to use while showering if necessary The room even had an ironing board and iron which I used I would definitely come back to this hotel over other ones in the area

We always check the room before we settle in Checked the bed, their was a blood stain on the sheet! Called the front desk, they sent more sheets and pillow cases to the room Handed them to my wife, yes! WE HAD TO MAKE THE BED!!!! Then on top of that, they didn’t give us a fitted sheet so we had to call back downstairs for that! Then they gave us Queen size sheets for a King size bed!!! We drove 8hrs

For this!!! My mothers private viewing is tomorrow, we got hear about 2030 We were tired and hungry and had to deal with this Really!!!! Would I recommend this to others????? What do you think??????

Our reservations were booked for the Residence Inn back in March We were moved to this site three hours before the date of arrival on July21st Very, very short notification

In addition, The ice machine was broken, the front counter personnel were rude and complained about their jobs, we were not allocated the correct amount of towels during our stay and had to repeatedly ask for more, on our second day there And had to request more, the fold out couch did not have any sheets, blankets or pillows, the room smelled like a smokers lounge, the parking lot was dimly lit with several lights not working, the complementary breakfast was not properly supplied to service all of the guests…and this is not the entire list

Update to response from the hotel The heat was not on Your staff checked the ac in both rooms and said the ac was on but not working properly

Your staff put a note on the thermostat saying it wasn’t working use it manually The picture is posted How does setting it to 65, cool, high turn the heat on? Sound like the staff here needs more training or management just need to be honest and fix the equipment Take some pride in your establishmentWe are a traveling military family consisting of my wife, two kids under two, myself and our dogFirst room we had reserved had a king bed The ac in the room didn’t work Guy at the front desk moved us to a room with a queen and didn’t offer us any kind of discount for a smaller room When we got in the second room the ac didn’t work in this room also The front desk asked if we hit cold on the thermostat as if we didn’t know the difference between the heat and AC He also said he couldn’t believe two rooms had broken ACs The room got to 78 degrees so we asked for another room and he said he had 30 uncleaned rooms so there were no other rooms for us Thankfully, we found a hotel that would accept out 100lb dog I told him we would take the kids, the dog and my wife so she could get them to bed and that I’d be back to clear the room of our luggage Front desk told us we had to clear the room now As I was walking to my room he yelled from the desk I can call my manager After I told him it would take 20 minutes in between hotels he agreed to let me take my family to the new hotel and come back for our luggage When I got back to get my luggage and refund the front desk wanted to check the AC I walked in both rooms with him He seemed to have zero idea that there was a note on the thermostat stating that it was broken and to manually set it (which obviously didn’t work)Worst hotel experience we have had I would definitely stay away from this place

This Quality Inn has become our go-to place when we visit my grandparents in Columbiana It’s very affordable, in a very quiet spot, convenient to everything we need to get to, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful every time we’ve stayed Like many/ most places in the greater Youngstown area, the rooms are a little run down – there’s some minor cosmetic damage to the bathroom wall in our room this time around, the carpet looks like it’s seen better days, and the ice machine on the second floor has been broken the last two times we’ve come

But the ice and vending on the first floor are well- stocked, the beds are very comfortable (more comfortable than the Hilton we stayed at in Chicago the night before), the linens and room are very clean, the temperature control is robust It feels like a place that’s well-tended and taken care of even though it’s getting on in years It’s a very comfortable and affordable place to camp out for a few days with our kids whenever we’re in the area

This was such a smooth stay! My family and I were treated well by the staff members They were friendly and accommodating! We enjoyed the pool (it was heated and warm!), complimentary breakfast, and the room was great! (The coffee was fresh and good!)Thank you, we will be back if we travel this way again This will be our go to place!

Simple check in! Simple check out! One of the better hilton breakfasts I’ve had in my visits cross country Not too much of a selection but the eggs were perfectly cooked and bacon for days I especially liked the banana bread waffle mix which provided a sweeter and more tasty waffle mix than what hotels usually offer for their complimentary breakfast

Coffee was free flowing and tasty, (not burnt!) Pet friendly hotel with very friendly staff It’s exactly what you’d expect from a Hampton inn

Sherri Toelke

Rooms were clean, temperature control was very steady, water was not highly chlorinated :), check-in staff was very polite and helpful No major complaints, just a little more pricey than average and nothing to really set it apart Only 2 minor complaints would be the water pressure was just okay and the walls are either a little thin or there was some little kid screeching in the halls for about 20 minutes at 7:30 AM, which was early given our late arrival

The rooms at this motel are meticulously clean the management obviously takes pride in keeping this place in tip top condition There were a couple of issues with sound transmission from the third floor, which was surprising, since concrete slab construction is used in the building, but I suppose that some people just walk very clumsily

The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy Unfortunately the management did not have any solution to this problem because every room was booked, but simply running the unit during the day cool down the room enough to avoid having to use it at bedtime This is a nice place and I would certainly book rooms here again

After seeing the great ratings, the wife and thought we would try this place this year Seeing the great ratings I booked a 2 nigh stay First impression was clean and orderly

After getting settled in, we informed the desk we found empty condom wrappers under the mattress and even a pair of camo colored shorts in the corner behind the stand Nothing was said or any attempt to make it right (Different room, clean up the existing room or any kind of compensation) they acted very concerned at the time that I told them and said that they would get a hold of somebody, but never heard a thing When we go back next year, we won’t stay here again

Ed Noschese

This is a nice clean place to stay in the Boardman area The staff were friendly and accommodating The rooms were clean and the property was well cared for

It’s right off the exit and near a lot of things They also offer breakfastA few things I noticed that were off:1 The staff need to let you into the pool area2 They are still blaming Covid for no daily housekeeping3 If you want more towels you have to bring your old towels down to be exchanged Seriously who is still stealing towels anymore?!4 They barricade off a large portion of the breakfast area in the evening so that people can’t congregate I’m sure it’s to stop lobby parties but it does send a message that we don’t want you to enjoy yourself in our lobby I did find that odd for a hotelBased on the quality and cleanliness it’s a great hotel, the smaller details pulled from the rating

Everything was pretty subpar here The rooms were decently clean, had a weird smell though I came for the hot tub which was unfortunately out of order

The soap machine took my quarters and I went downstairs to let them know Apparently it’s not the first time it happened but no one thought to put and out of order sign the washing machine has mold in it and when I told front desk she was uninterested I would not stay here again

LaNae’ Ferguson

Super fun! The people were very nice The only thing I’m sad about is that I had asked to have the kitchen set aside plates for the crew members and I was told they had us, but we never got the food 😭So our staff was very hungry that night

This little Super 8 Motel is a gem! It is easily accessible to the main roads and was perfect for our purpose and reasonably priced The room was clean and had no nasty smell The beds are very firm, but the pillows are soft

The staff we met were very nice The woman who checked us in was a kind person and took one look at us after our hard day and changed our room from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor without even asking She didn’t want us to have to walk up the stairs (and we didn’t want to either)! There are two reasons I gave four out of five stars First is that the hallway for the non-smoking rooms still had a lingering smoke smell which was unpleasant but not unbearable If someone had a smoke sensitivity it might be a problem The other reason that I gave 4 stars is because the continental breakfast was limited I expected there to be fresh fruit but I didn’t see any They did have bagels and cream cheese, packets of instant oatmeal, packaged peanut butter crackers and Ho-ho’s in the pastry section, yogurt and pudding cups in the fridge and the coffee was goodStill, all things considered, we would stay here again!

Terri Solem

Filthy walls, nasty looking toilet, owner I think (Indian guy) is very condescending, the entire building reeked of Marijuana, window on first floor didn’t lock, huge spider in shower, everything seemed to have a layer of grease on it

everything Trash cans outside rarely emptied and overflowingJust overall gross Only good thing was Patti at the front desk was amazingHighly recommend a park bench over this smelly greasy dump

This hotel is located in a renovated historical building My husband and I stayed in a room for two nights The price was reasonable for the quality

The hotel has all of the typical amenities as well as unique amenities such as an onsite restaurant and self-parking that costs extra I recommend parking in the lot rather than the public garage The employees at the front desk were courteous, and upon our request, another employee brought extra towels to our room within minutes The building and our room were in excellent condition and were very clean

Don Vanderpool

Front desk was pretty rude But the shower was so slow the water wouldn’t even come out far enough to take a good shower You had to bump up to the wall

It kept changing temperature from cold to hot We found a used q-tip next to the bed It is a beautiful hotel Our room was large But for $200 a night I expect top quality and service I was disappointed overall

June Griese

Terrible!! I see all these 5 stars and wonder why? First things firstprice

Very nice hotel with a gorgeous view of the hills The hotel is directly off the highway and is convenient for the wedding venue we were in town for, Iron Mills Weddings and Events The hotel has a beautiful lobby, a nice fitness center, pool, business center, conference room, and outdoor firepit area

The interior of the hotel is clean and updated, highly-recommend

The dirtiest hotel I ever stayed in!!!! Black mold in the shower, mildew build up on the sliding shower doors, to the point that this nasty brown gunk is coming off in clumps when you shower The vent fan obviously hasn’t been working for awhile due to the rust on the light fixtures and vent Base of the toilet clearly has vomit or urine also the toilet is not seated to floor anymore

The light makes loud clicking noises and this is a king suite that cost extra just to feel more filth and a slap in the face! I informed late night staff very nice and noted it for tomorrow Next morning the guy at the main desk seem board and could care less in the morning and simply told me house cleaning will be by Not what you want to hear with black mold, human waste your room

Liz Brown

Delicious breakfast Every day had a Gluten Free option There was always hot coffee available

The rooms were clean and no smell Everything worked The shower was great The staff was helpful and niceIt was better than I expected I will continue to stay at Hampton Inn’s

Great hotel to stop at while traveling! Hot continental breakfast, comfy beds, free coffee and water which was awesome before getting back on the roadThis place is also super pet friendly! And it’s tucked away in a great area to walk your dog with lots of grass and also quiet My beagle gives it 5/5 stars

My only complaint is that the guests next to us and had their tv on all night long which made it difficult to sleep through the night Obviously this isn’t the hotel or management’s fault We tried turning the room cooler so the AC would muffle any of their noise

Sarah Bookshar

I visited for business and have never had such a positive experience with the staff as I did here My company has been having travel issues and I was so stressed but Caroline got me right to my room and reassured me everything was okay The staff checked in with me daily to make sure everything was going well with my visit and were very friendly

The a/c in my room was a little loud and the property could use some tlc upgrades but the price can’t be beaten Breakfast was pretty good with a nice variety

Paul Semeraro

Excellent Service! Excellent Rooms!First, it was Heather setting me up with a last minute stay – including a late checkout! I really needed that for workThen, a couple of weeks later, it was Caroline booking me in for ANOTHER last minute stay I could even check in early! This time, really needed that for the wedding I was attending

It literally saved the weekendThe rooms are fantastic – and very comfortable This is my “go to” hotel for Youngstown/Boardman

I usually DO NOT leave bad reviews, but this hotel deserves one I am highly disappointed that this hotel sent me an email after 4 PM to cancel my hotel an hour after check-in due to current guests deciding to extend their stay Furthermore, I am disappointed how they chose to cancel my two-bedroom suite and then move from Ohio to New Castle in P

A into a one-bedroom when I originally reserved a room for four of my guests traveling for my graduationUpon my parent’s arrival, they were told by the employees at the desk at New Castle that The Residence Inn had decided to pay for only one of my rooms This was not the original agreement made by the management at the Residence Inn after one of my family members had called The manager told us that they would cover both rooms due to the displacementThis does not make sense I originally booked a two-bedroom suite with two bedrooms for FOUR guests How do you cancel my booking and transfer me to another hotel (almost 30 miles out), and tell me that you will only cover the cost of one room with one bed? What about the other two guests who were displaced? I’m sorry, but this is not my issue, and I did book almost a week in advance? This experience caused nothing but anxiety on the morning of my graduation It devastated my graduation experience, and I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone Another person traveling with me decided to call the Marriott because they are a brand member They were told that there was nothing they could do for me because they only resolved issues for Marriot members This is about ETHICS, and I will seek to recover my loss and additional costs incurred After all I incurred an extra $200 because they chose to transfer my booking almost 30 miles out from their hotelOh, and can you believe Residence Inn still charged me $400? I will continue to monitor these charges to see if the funds will be returned to my account SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS; IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!I give credit where it is due; Therefore, it is only fitting that I mention that the New Hampton Hotel in White Castle, PA, was extremely helpful in helping us figure this all outPS I also think it is unfair not to advertise that this hotel is an extended stay hotel

Jason Nickell

This hotel has seen better days Cracked tiles, holes in the walls, damage to the appliances Overall it’s just beat-up

Great staff working here, and you can tell they are making the best of a tough situation The owners need to shut down for a year and remodel Cabinet handles falling off, dents in the refrigerators It’s timeUnfortunately, this hotel sees good occupancy due to a lack of other options Especially if you are a BonVoy Marriott member, there’s not a lot to choose fromIf you can stay at the courtyard in Canfield, that’s a much better option, but they are frequently 100% bookedHopefully the owners will reinvest their profits into this property, or Marriott corporate will step in, because this hotel is below standardAgain, this is unfortunate because the staff is working hard and they have some great people here

Jenn Martin

The hotel was run down and not well cared for Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and the floors in the hallway and elevator were filthy There were bins and bags of garbage left sitting around in the hallways

It smelledWe always stay with Marriott and this does not meet their typical standards We will never stay here again

Room was very cleaned, somewhat outdated The shower curtain did have mold spots- which was slightly disgusting The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the pool was nice and the area was clean

2 stars mostly because our room opened when you pushed the door, you didn’t need the key, and we had some arguing over getting extra towels, and having 5 people in our room even though we reserved with two adults and 3 kids

Honcho Tortilla

If you like noisy places to stay this is the place I don’t mean from the outside either Room above me was up damn near all night for the two nights I stayed stomping and slamming drawers it sounded like they were moving furniture at times

You can even hear them talk but not enough to make out what they say I could hear people in the room next to me as well, they had kids, yay more noise Must be no insulation or sound proofing at all Other then that I have no complaints Will never recommend or stay there again

Jessie Gander

My husband and I decided to stop off after a long road trip, and stopped at the best Western for the night The staff that was there, Tyler on third shift was amazing! The check in process was smooth and easy, and he was great to talk to The breakfast was great, and the first shift girl Trish did an amazing job checking us out, and making sure we were ready to hit the road! Would recommend to anyone in the area to stop in and stay at the best western!!!

Booked a room with 2 beds and a sleeper sofa early Friday for a late-night arrival through Booking-dot-com Room was approved and paid for Called later to verify check-in time

Arrived at 11:30PM after driving 7 hours with two minor children and my disabled wife I was told that Booking-dot-com “overbooked” it We had to scramble to find a room nearby at midnight and ended up at the Motel 6 next door Payment and fees were refunded, but will take “at least 7 business days to process”, putting us down $200 400+ miles from home Comfort Suites was absolutely no help, unwilling to grant a partial refund, and left us to fend for ourselves Did Booking-dot-com overbook? Did Comfort Suites give it away? We’ll never know Worst experience ever from all sides

First off there is a $50 charge incase of damage added to your cost It is credited back to you after checking out within I believe it was 7-10 days The lady that checked us in made a point to tell everyone she checked in prior to them paying

Room was real clean Smelled fine (no off smell)Towels, blankets were cleanBed was firm however that didn’t ruin my sleep Kiddo said his sleep was amazing HahaShower is a little strange, no sliding door so the floor gets wet or the bath mat However, the water temperature was nice and hotThe pool was open Water was a bit cloudyBut nonetheless clean

My fiancé and I booked a suite at the Youngstown location Staff was very friendly when we checked in Our room was clean, smelled good, except for the hot tub

Not only did it have hair stuck to the drains, the jets wouldn’t turn on at all We reached out to the front desk and they stated they would reset the breaker After over two hours of trying to get it working and the front desk saying maintenance wasn’t in they told us to speak with management the next day to see what could be done When we checked out, management wasn’t in We have reached out multiple times and have left messages with no calls back For the price of that room on a weekend, you would think they would want to make things right Not sure if we will stay there again, even though it is a very nice hotel

Bad service, horrible room! OK mind you this room was booked for a month When I arrived the elevator was out of service, comma not that big of a deal mechanical issues So we had to take the stairs the stairwell smelled of urine and was absolutely filthy covered with mud and dirt

We get to the 3rd floor where our room is mine too mind you I was told the room should be clean We arrived after the 3 o’clock check in time The cleaning lady was literally in our room “cleaning” I walk into the room everything appears to be fine we’re in here for about a 1/2 hour and I noticed dirty clothes from previous cuffs of ours underneath underneath the dressers, Then I noticed the stains on the comforter, And the dirt and dust on basically every single furniture piece I didn’t A fuss because literally every hotel in this town was sold out because it is a statewide rap they state wide wrestling tournament We leave in the morning to go to breakfast at 6:30 AM and literally everything is out besides muffins and milk Said something to the front desk and they said that’s all it was available at the time And no effort to resupply anything for us or further guests Came back at 8 o’clock that evening roof service never came into the room to clean up the trash or dirty towels And the do not disturb sign was never put on the front of the door Went and asked for towels and was told no they were not available Basically all I can say is it was a bed to sleep in for a 130 bucks a night definitely not worth it Could have went to the sleazbag hotel down the road probably had a better experience

Overnight stay Had good experiences with Other Holiday Inn Express properties but not this one Staff was friendly and helpful but that’s the high point

The room looks like it hasn’t been updated or maintained in years The rug was old and turned up at the edge The recycling chair was broken and in poor condition The TV didn’t work Tried to call down to the desk, phone was dead and the lamp flickered Walked back down to the desk to deceive my issues To their credit the staff upgraded us to a larger suite room which was better but again not updated in many years Went to breakfast at the hotel the next morning after showering where the tub was backing up to find the juice dispenser wasn’t working and no water was offered Left to check out the pool to find it closed with yellow tape across one of the mechanical rooms All of this after paying a room fee of $180 plus taxes That’s what I got trying to stay close to the highway and deciding not to stay with my first choice which was further away I would never stay at that property in its current condition

The stay was awful Let me start by saying as pulling into the Holiday Inn we were greeted by 3 strays cats hanging out in the parking lot As we checked we were informed that the elevator was not working so we had to carry our bags up 3 flights of steps

The pool water was ice cold you couldn’t even swim in it The treadmill in the fitness room was broke along with dirty mirrors As we get to the hallway of our room it smells of cigarette smoke Needless to say it was a non smoking floor We tried to enter our room with our key card and it didn’t work almost every time we used it we had to go to the front desk to let us in our room As we enter our room and turn the air conditioner to heat we notice that it doesn’t work Informed the front desk staff of our heat not working and he states he would send the maintenance man to check on it but there was nothing else that he would be a

I would rate this hotel 0 starts if I could After a long night, I brought my TWO year old daughter to come sleep in the room When I woke up this morning (3-20) I was getting stuff around & noticed there was multiple blood stains on the right side of the bed, close to where my daughter was sleeping

On the pillow and sheets At first, thought it was from her, checked to make sure and it wasn’t then I put two and two together and earlier when I checked in there wasn’t any shampoo, conditioner, soap or anything stocked There is absolutely NO WAY the housekeeper changed the bedding & DIDNT see the blood stains I am HIGHLY upset as not only is that just plain disgusting, but also a HUGE health hazard And something that I am even more upset about is my daughter sleeping on the side of the bed I do not recommend staying here, as I don’t believe they clean the rooms to the best of their ability The manager at the hotel, Dominic? Derek something along those lines continued to say we were lying and “three of his employees” did not see blood I am beyond disgusted with the way this situation has been handled

Asma Farooq

I was harassed by Tabitha the assistant manager She walked in my room without asking for permission and started shouting Racially discriminated me as well

Stay away from this place have no respect for people and don’t know who to treat their guests I am scared out of my wits if anyone else will walk into my room now Not safe for people alone
