The room was spotless The beds were very comfortable The kitchen had everything you’d need to prepare a meal (I didn’t use it except to make instant noodles, though)

The room was just pretty modern in general Breakfast tasted normal The staff was friendly The pool was a little small, but it was warm and clean I didn’t go to the gym, so I can’t say anything about it However, the location wasn’t the best Most of the landmarks in Boston are pretty far away

Kelly

Our 4 night stay has been amazing, we leave tomorrow and it’s sad to have it end Breakfast was great every morning, the room is spotless, valet is quick, housekeeping is friendly, and the view is breathtaking (Room 851 is magnificent)! It’s so close to everything you could want to do in Boston This place helped make our trip to Boston awesome

Deborah Raskin

Beautiful hotel, rooms are nice Sheets on the bed are too small, they keep sliding off, very annoying But bed is comfortable and pillows are good

The main area is cold with the exterior door opening at the same time the interior door opens, so bring a sweater to breakfast The food is good, coffee is hot and all the staff was terrific, very helpful and kept everything full and tables cleanIf you like to work out, the gym is fully equipped and very clean The pool is very small so during a busy time it’s more a place to lean against a wall, not to swim for exercise The valet parking is good, all valet staff we dealt with were very nice The drop off area is poorly designed, too tight High chance to bump into another carUber service in the area is terrific, thanks to all the guys for the timely pick up and drop offWe will return to see some more of Boston in warmer weather Thank you to all staff at the hotel

We; as in our party, want to make an excellent review of our server in the Library Gregory was one of the most exceptional staff members of the service industry, that I can remember in years Not only was he attentive to us, but offered up a few n sense of humor and a real genuine love for what he does

He made our evening very enjoyable and The Newbury, is lucky to have such a gentleman for their guests

What a delightful hotel! The history, the ambience, the attentive staff! We stayed here on a chilly January night, had a wonderful room overlooking the courtyard and the Charles We were lucky enough to enjoy some blues in the main lobby These were the only blues we experienced 😉

The only thing that was amiss, were the bathrobes I am sure this was just due to covidMake sure to check out the channel on your television in your room, about the history of the hotelThank you for a fantastic time! See you again!

I absolutely love staying at the Liberty! I just stayed for the second time and there is nothing like the welcome committee out front and coming up that escalator!! I told the other people in my group that riding up the escalator gives me such joy!Every interaction I’ve had there has been wonderful Check in with champagne, the bartenders and serving staff, the food and wine, coming down for a cup of coffee in the morning…All SO lovely! And the rooms! So cool and cozy at the same time

Comfy bed, dark, and mostly quiet 🙂 Also, was so pleased to see Molton Brown bath products! And glad that the shower items are in bulk but also sad I couldn’t take them home!!Seriously, I really really love staying there I will definitely be back!

Annah Scherling

The hotel is nice and clean Most of the customer service was good expect for one individual They confused our room reservations and had my group checking into a room that someone was already saying in and proceeded to charge us for an extra day we never booked for

If you book here, make sure you have explicit recordings of your trip and everything in writing

Michael Delamere

Nice hotel Fair sized rooms with quality bedding making for a comfortable stay On site restaurant has good breakfast

I’ve stayed there a total of three times and it is pretty nice I like the location a lot, it’s good in relation to some historical sites and great for shopping It’s connected to the mall across the street and it has a Starbucks and restaurant upstairs

The queen rooms are really nice The beds are SUPER comfy I don’t love the amenities downstairs, but when I travelled with my family they had lots of fun in the pool The views are all incredible!

Rash Gilchrist

Very helpful and accommodating staff! The rooms are a bit dated but they do have great views and the location allows you to stay indoors while utilizing Copley Place and its nearby stores/restaurants Rating this 3 stars because the hotel waited until check-in to notify guests that water will be shut off from 10AM-3PM due to construction on some of their floors

We came in pretty late and Ryan was at the front desk He is amazing!! The valet parking is definitely worth it Our girls left some homework in the car by accident and Ryan offered to go get it for us

The hotel itself is beautiful The rooms are clean and very comfortable! I highly recommend it if you are in the area or need to stop to rest while passing through

Scott Pactor

I stay in Boston twice a year traveling with my partner to see her family I’ve stayed in hotels all over Boston We always pay somewhere between 200 to 400 a night, 2 to 3 nights each visit

This is a newish (pandemic era) hotel at the base of Charles Street, on the other side of the enormous intersection from the Liberty hotel They out together one new building with a second, older hotel, they kept some of the old facade which you can see when you exit the elevator It was a good experience, professional staff who genuinely seemed to care about their jobs, which I didn’t see at the Wentworth in Portsmouth on this same tripRoom had no closet but the bathroom was huge as a percentage of total space

Mary Goldberg

5 Star hotel from start to finish: compassionate, respectful, kind, empathetic We were in a jam, staying at another 4 Star hotel considered a Luxury Hotel We found ourselves in a room over a booming club happening in the lobby of that “other hotel” where we were asked to “pardon the noise level for a couple of hours”

Wait, What? At $450 a night – me think not We called The Whitney Hotel at 7:00 AM next morning to break us out of jail, pun intended It was worth the add’l $200 to be treated like a human being Checking in – the kindest staff, doorman, wait staff – every level of service was amazing A GIANT thank you to the entire staff – and especially to Mr Kamil Alafandi for truly being the most gracious host and understanding our predicament This was a busy weekend with the Yankees in town, we knew we would be limited, Mr Alafandi showed us the only room available at that moment, to ensure we were okay with the location – and while we may not have had the best view in the hotel, we were so grateful for the level of care, service and peace provided by the team This hotel goes ABOVE and BEYOND! We will be back!

Room was very nice and the hotel staff were super nice Is it a four-star hotel Yep

Is it worth the price Not in my opinion Paid over $400 for a room and to park the car (yep they charge for parking along with most places in Boston) for the awesome view on the harbor side However, is the price worth the view Absolutely not A harbor is a harbor is a body of water Same with the skyline Won’t stay again solely due to the price, and you also (we didn’t) have to purchase breakfast if you want it, on top of the room already

Noname H

Super awesome location – very convenient to the airport and amazing view of the harbor and planes landing and taking offVery very expensive, though Having to pay $78 for parking when you’ve already paid a ton for three nights is a lot

Add to it a “destination” fee of $22 that is charged daily!! The rooms don’t even have a fridge or a microwaveAlthough we enjoyed our stay, we wouldn’t do it again for the insane cost

Hotel was very clean and our room had a very nice view The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the large bath tub It was centrally located and valet very convenient

The bellboys were helpful There were a couple of things like no coffee in the rooms so had to go on a coffee hunt downstairs The valet guys downstairs were not overly friendly The room service was good but the restaurant not downstairs for breakfast was not very good, I returned a very greasy sausage link breakfast Otherwise staff was professional and hotel was safe Also the food recommendation to try Italian food next door was disappointingFor the price will probably elect to stay elsewhere when returning to Boston

Sophie Kristie

Wonderful reception at check in — greeted so graciously, which made all the difference after a hard day of traveling Room has a great view of the Boston Harbor and fantastic bathroom with a sparkling clean tub and walk in shower Floor is tiled and bedroom part of the room is carpeted

Bed is absolutely comfortable Lots to explore— harbor is accessible by walking through the hotel lobby and out the back Loved this place

We had a wedding block at the Intercontinental and had the best experience possible The staff were so friendly and welcoming and we felt like they took the time to get to know us and our wedding guests On the day of our wedding, they even helped us when we had an unexpected weather snafu

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years this is my first time back since covidThey have done away with conciergeThey can no longer get doctors to the hotel, every other four seasons I stay at as a house doctor and conciergeThe irons are appalling, so cheap used to be good

Breakfast room now on the 2nd floor same view yet much smaller If you are on a table of 2 you have to sit on a tiny table in a small bar The chairs in the breakfast room are ikea like moulded uncomfortable chairsRooms as always are fantastic and housekeeping staff are exceptionalRoom service the only word to describe it is ‘overpriced shite’Cheap poor coffee shop on the first floorThey have thee most American thing ever a glass door called the vault… full of free candy and chips something more accustomed to a Marriott rewards customerNot the standard it used to be by a country mile Great location and facilities the health club is still fantastic The prices if anything have gone up yet the services have gone drastically downhill

Sam Faden

I have stayed here many times pre-Covid and cannot say one bad thing about this FS location From the ambiance, to the charm, to the service, and comfort, I always feel at home The fresh arrangement of flowers in the lobby that are refreshed quite frequently are a great bonus too

I recently had to cancel a reservation I booked due to circumstances out of my control and used the new texting feature which was seamless from start to finish Thank you, Lucas, behind the texts, for your swift responses and extraordinary help I cannot wait to rebook very soon

My best friend and I stayed for the weekend for a concert in June We had a fabulous time! We got into town super late, the restaurant being open later really helped us out! I will say the tacos that I got there were pretty bland for my liking, but everything else was great The hotel is currently finishing some renovations with the rooms, they let us know at the desk that we got a renovated room

The room was sleek and very nice, the shower was probably the best part alongside the comfortable beds! In room dining was also very convenient for us while getting ready and getting back to the hotel late The hotel lobby also connects you to two shopping centers which we enjoyed exploring We will definitely be back!

Heather Brown

Had a wonderful stay! Was here for work and enjoyed every minute The rooms are outdated but they were clean and comfortable and the staff were absolutely wonderful from housekeeping to the gentleman who checked me in / out I wish I could remember his name because he was very friendly and helpful! Also had a wonderful experience with the FedEx Business Center and that was super convenient in the hotel

Loved all of the restaurants and shops within walking distance Great location, would stay again!

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you won’t be disappointedBeautiful views and beautiful building There’s 38 floors and 9 high-speed elevators Nice workout facility and indoor swimming pool doesn’t seem crowded No hot tub but the showers can double as baths I lived here for about a year as my college used a few floors for student housing (I know, nicest dorm ever) Never had a problem with staff or housekeeping Tip: park in the Copley Garage (which is attached to the building), don’t park in the Mariott’s self parking

Excellent luxury boutique hotel in a great location Lots of shops and food places nearby, walking distance to the train, interesting historic neighborhood, and easily walkable, including to the harbor The room was tastefully decorated with a fireplace, and the bathroom was nice with historic-style fixtures

Our room didn’t have a view but was comfortable and sophisticated Thick robes and slippers Great experience and felt safe during the pandemic Special experience compared to large corporate hotels

Susan Susan

Just beyond the Boston Commons, this lovely, small hotel with a European feel was a quiet, wonderful getaway Our rooms, each very different, were quite nice, as was room service Meals downstairs at Moo I’d rate 4 stars, not 5, mostly due to service and a limited menu (entrees mostly meat), but all else was top-notch

Loved the car service and enjoyed our driver, originally from Russia, also the charming service at check-in and afterward when I emailed We once thought a waterfront hotel was our favorite but now it’s XV, hands-down

Jessica Goldman

What a lovely find! While our room was beautiful and comfortable and the hotel could not have been better located, the true standout was the staff! From the front door to the front desk to the restaurant to the house drivers, everyone was phenomenal They could not have been more friendly, charming, knowledgeable, and accessible We’ll definitely be back!

Stayed here for Boston Marathon 2022 and it was the perfect hotel for this Location was great, next to the station meaning that we could get anywhere without having to walk too farRoom was well sized for the city center and the bed was comfortable

We didn’t hear much in the way of noise either from other rooms or outside – our location was in the back half of the hotel but facing towards the front and on the top floorStaff were polite and helpful Fridge is included in the room but coffee machines would have to be requested – we just went to Dunkin next door

Matt Blanchard

We booked a room with two queen beds When we get there, they tell us that they overbooked and only had a room with one king bed and a pull out couch We booked months in advance and somehow they didn’t have the room we booked

Then they tried to play it off as a “free upgrade” even though it seems as more of a lateral swap than an upgrade They then tell us they “waived the amenity fee” for not having the room ready That would be nice if the rooftop was actually open to more than just private bookings… At least it was walking distance to Fenway, but definitely not a 4 star stay that’s for sure Probably would’ve been a little less harsh of a critic if the staff were not acting as if they were doing us a favor

Decided to celebrate my 30th birthday in the big city and were going to be around the Fenway Park area so this hotel was picked for the good reviews and the convenience of location I cannot say that the price tag was worth it however Although my overall stay was good and I was content for the most part, there are some things that I was alittle disappointed with

ROOM SERVICE- when we asked about it (if we would be able to order food to our room late-10pm-midnight) we were told that unfortunately they didnt have that option anymore and only breakfest was offered at a certain time Although that was disappointing, totally get it- with covid restrictions still kinda being a thing and maybe they’re limited staffi get ithowever they did charge me a resort fee and so part of me is wondering how they are not offering all there amenities but charging like they are Secondly was the resturant and bar we asked if that was going to be open lateagain strict open and closing times 8pm again that’s fine but eh PARKING- a bit annoying that they only offer valet parking at $68 per night but then againgiven their location I get it Special requests – so since we were celebrating my birthday, my sister had called prior to see if they could do something simple (like a note – saying welcome , happy birthday) or maybe some towel animals or something And they told her that they werent offering that sort of service anymore at this time but the least they could do was send up some chocolate candies or something When we got there, there wasnt anythingnot a big deal but kinda annoying Also although it was a room booked for 2 ppl only had one bathrobewhich was hidden away in the closet (so we didnt even realize it was there at first) other then that , all employees were super friendly and room was clean and comfortable and was very happy with our view of Fenway Park from our window!!

We enjoyed a most excellent stay in every way! The accommodations are modernistic yet quite comfy and cozy The pool is extraordinary! Here it was, the middle of winter, and I felt like I was vacationing on a dreamy tropical island The water was so warm and inviting and there was no lack of fresh, thick, thirsty towels available poolside

Perhaps best of all was the kind, courteous, and caring hotel staff Each member was uncommonly gracious The lobby Starbucks was also a true winner! Just an awesome hotel experience in every way and aspect!

The view from my room was good, the bed was really comfortable, and the desk with Herman Miller chairs was really good The pool was good if you want to relax as well, good size when there are not many people aroundAs a normal hotel room it’s fine, but I don’t think it was worth the very high price

The lever to open the shower fell the first time I opened it and the toilet had running water until I opened the water tank and fixed the seal myself The blind was really hard to open so it stayed close most of the time

The location of this hotel, halls and pools are great It has also a nice gym The service was also very gentle and the room was large with a good view to the river

However, several points are not expected from a hotel that charge more than 400 dollars per night: the premises are already showing signs of aging, I stayed for an entire week and not even once my room was cleaned (hotel policy), the shower has no preassure and takes ages for the hot water to come out, there is no breakfast area only a Starbucks where you can buy coffee and some snacks, the room lacks basics for a such a extensive hotel as a water cooker or a decent coffee makerIt seems cost reduction has been the policy now for that hotelIt is in general a good hotel but definitely overpriced

This is a part of Boston history that has been well maintained and with a great service staff Just walking in feels great Also the location puts you right in the middle of everything

Unlike many historic hotels, the rooms were plenty large and felt clean and fresh I had a couple of asks for the staff and they were tremendous every time Great experience, would highly recommend this place

Amazing hotel Worth every penny Staff was amazing, the rooms are gorgeous and huge

We had a noisy neighbor issue and the hotel staff were extremely apologetic (though it wasn’t their fault, and they were very accommodating)Very comfortable, very well-located, and a fantastic location in and of itself Will be coming back

The hotel itself is beautiful and the bell hop staff, as well as check in, room service were excellent However, we had arranged for a few items to be in our room upon arrival and they were not delivered until after we had to call to remind One of the items never showed, yet I was charged for it

Also, my wife left expensive shampoo, soap and cosmetics in the bathroom by mistake When she contacted the hotel, just a few hours later, after we got home to try to get the items shipped to us she was told that no items were left in the room, which is not true, so they were clearly thrown out or taken, which is against the hotel policy of bringing all items to lost and found The contact at the hotel basically told us “sorry” “nothing we can do” When we texted the contact back asking for a very small credit to pay for the missing items, no response We also are still waiting for our itemized bill to be emailed to us- no response on that as well There is also some weird rule that all of the mini bars or small fridges are locked for some reason and not able to be used, so I had to replenish ice in order to keep a few drinks cold in my room Finally, shower hand held wand fell apart mid shower- seemed to be damaged or installed wrong This is a beautiful, historic hotel with a great location- that is very expensive- We do not mind paying top dollar, but not when we are disappointed like this Not sure we will return given the missing items from our room and no explanation or attempt to rectify the situation

We just spent one night at the Eliot Hotel and we were very pleased with the staff and the room Upon arriving, Jean, the valet, welcoming us with a friendly smile Check in was easy and they upgraded our room to a suite which was a pleasant surprise! The staff was more then hospitable

The room was more then comfortable The location was perfect for the event we attended at Fenway park We could easily walk there We look forward to returning and having our favorite valet waiting for us!!!

My wife and I stayed there for the first time this past weekend so we could attend a local concert This boutique hotel is charming and very well situated in the city It is walking distance or a quick taxi to just about anywhere in the city and the staff is very warm, friendly and inviting

Next time we travel to Boston we will definitely be staying here again

Wife and I had a two night stay to begin our week-long trip to Boston and Massachusetts in mid October We loved our stay The hotel is in a great area to explore Boston and get to know the area

Weather was warm so we had some great walks around the city We also enjoyed a dinner at Uni the attached restaurant which was just awesome A special thank you to Vibhu Sehgal at the front desk who check us in, upgraded us, and helped us out during our stay The hotel is older and charming, so it has quirks but none worth mentioning and none that detracted from our stay If there had been a problem, I’m confident the staff would have accommodated us well The hotel feels like a part of Boston history and we were glad we chose it for our stay

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for a family wedding Everything was excellent – room, customer service, & the wedding venue! The doormen & front lobby staff were all super friendly and made us feel like we were royalty The morning coffee was a great touch

Our room was well appointed, from the comfy beds with a welcoming chocolate gift to the fluffy bath towels The hotel smelled so good – a fresh, clean scent that I loved so much that I even bought their candle The location of the hotel was really great, too! If we ever make another trip back to Boston – we will definitely stay at the Lenox!

I’ve been staying here for years If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I’m sure!Amazing location and beautiful rooms Every single person working at the hotel from the concierge to each restaurant/bar is so nice and goes above and beyond to make your stay special

Nadia Vreeland

Writing this review as I continue to get no sleep staying at this hotel I am in disbelief at all of the good reviews for this place, which must be solely based on the location and atmosphere, because the beds at this hotel are awful When I say awful, I mean I spent a year backpacking through Europe staying at hostels, and slept better at every single one than I have slept here

When I stay at a “nice” hotel, I expect to sleep well Isn’t that the real goal here? I’m staying here with family for the long weekend, and I must say, so far I wish I stayed in my dorm on campus because my dorm bed is more comfortable Feels like sleeping on cardboard, and the rooms are so stuffy If you close your eyes while laying down you’d think you were sleeping in a Motel 6 If you plan on actually sleeping here, I wish you the very best of luck doing so

Niel K

Fantastic people at the front, spacious rooms and amazing breakfast in the morning at the little eatery there Had an Upgrade ready before I even opened my mouth, they had taken care of everything and explained the benefits of using a Platinum Card here The bar could have been better if they had a different bartender

If you’re in Cambridge, just stay here as I def would
