Do not stay here:Parking is a nightmareStaff is rude and not helpful at allEntrance on Fifth street is closed early no clear signsHotel offers no breakfast

They don’t offer cleaning everydayNo laundry bags in the room No plastic bags at allEven cheap hotels give you a plastic bag for your dirty laundry Not this hotelNot sure how can they call themselves a 4 star hotelYou expect more from a WestinBathroom is old and needs fixing Mirror is falling apartSmall fridge made a screeching noise and had to be disconnectedNo ice buckets in the roomJust overall an awful experience This hotel has seen better days

Holly French

First off, we booked here mostly due to the pictures of an amazing pool that my daughter was excited about only to arrive and find out it was not open This was not listed anywhere on their website When we arrived to the room it was 80°, we turned the temp down, went to dinner and hours later it was still 78°

We had someone come “fix” it An hour later it was still the same temperature We called down and got a new room The same thing proceeded with this room We moved rooms for a 3rd time (in the middle of the night, having to wake our one year old up each time to transfer our belongings) only to end up in yet another hot room that would not cool off By this point we were all beyond exhausted and just over it We all woke up drenched in sweat early the next morning The stay was so awful we cut our trip early and canceled our next night and decided to go home I have traveled a lot and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had If you don’t mind expecting to hang out in an empty pool and sleeping in a sauna, this is the place for you Otherwise, rethink your decision to stay here

Hotel isn’t bad Nice views, rooms are bigService had room for improvement

Calling the hotel so I can release a package a friend is picking up while I’m at work The automated robot isn’t very helpful, when I gave my cell phone number that my platinum bonvoy account is attached to it then asked for my last name Majority of people can’t pronounce my lastSimply put the Marriott robot is horrible and bad After calling two more times I got the front desk, Alicia who was amazing at helping me

Outstanding service by all hotel staff If there were ever a wait in a line, the staff handled it well and provided quick efficient service My room was extremely clean and had everything I needed

I was nervous about the elevators from previous comments however they are working to get this resolved and honestly, the waits weren’t that long! Everyone these days are in such a hurry and just need a little patience From what I was told, they are working to get this resolved as quickly as they canBreakfast was great and they rotated items daily for variety I also used the fitness center It was clean and very well maintained This hotel is close to all things downtown I was able to walk to restaurants, Walgreens, and Kroger

Christal D.

I will start this review by saying the staff was phenomenal! Professional and friendly However, $560 for a room that had a bed, a chair, TV, and nightstands I will continue to call out hotels for not having refrigerators and microwaves

For the amount of money being charged and I have to pay $3 for a cold bottle of water (one bottle mind you)?! We are STILL in the middle of a world wide pandemic and you expect me to put luggage on the bed to unpack/pack?! Have you ever tried putting a suitcase on a chair (not a lounge chair a regular chair) to unpack Not idealDoubt that I will stay at this facility again

Mindy Toschlog

No ready for Garth Brooks! 2 elevator working This hotel seems to operating as 2 separate hotels At front desk guy ask who are you Hampton or Hilton (I think) I had to look it up because he wouldn’t help me until I did

Rooms are nice beds are good just not my first choice won’t be going back until they figure out which hotel chain they want to be You can find better

One of the best hotels ever first of all the staff and everyone there are good people and nice and always helpful the inside is beautiful and looks nice in there but my favorite part is the glass elevators which you can see through and if you’re on the top floor it’s an amazing view inside the rooms is nice it has a good smell which smells like breakfast food and the room service is well the bed and covers comfy and nice

The room and facility was fairly nice and clean The beds were relatively comfortable and there were plenty of pillows Personally, I think if you know there is a family staying in a room, you should put more than two towels in the bathroom, especially since they don’t clean rooms daily anymore due to COVID

We called before our stay to make sure we could swim in the pool We were assured that the pool was open When we got there, the front desk lady told us it was open, so after we got back to the hotel after our day in the city, we got dressed to go swim When we got down to the pool there was a sign on the door that said closed I totally understand that stuff happens But I’m super tired of staying at hotels and the pool not being open I pay for that amenity in the cost of my room If it isn’t working, which it was not for the duration of our stay, there should be some type of discount on the roomLastly, and this is the reason for two stars instead of three or four, the staff was less than professional The breakfast staff lady was so rude She cut off customers when they tried to alert her to coffee running out, she was gruff and literally huffed at people when they were just trying to get food There were several people that were talking about her lack of service this morning during breakfast The front desk workers spent most of their time sitting in the lobby on the comfy chairs and on their phones They were nice enough, but if I owned this hotel, I would not love this look Employees just lounging about the lobby on their phonesFor the cost I guess it was fine But due to the pool and the rude staff, I probably wouldn’t stay here again

Nicole Lewis

This hotel was incredible!! The girl working seen me outside in my wheel chair waiting on my husband to get our things from the car and she brought me a blanket and covered me completely up I was cold and soaked from the rain Such a genuine hearted soul

I felt accepted and it made me feel so good inside after a rough day The bed is so comfortable and just the lay out of the rooms and the bathroom is amazing The break fast with sausage gravy and biscuits is amazing I almost stayed a second night if hubby didn’t have to be back to our home by morning for work That pool is nice A bit chilly but nice I felt love, comfort, and a sense of safeness being there We will be returning in a month to go back to the Newport aquarium and I cannot wait to stay with you guys again

Brandon L

Location is close to downtown, but not right in the thick of downtown The room was nice For some reason our room had only 2 towels, 2 face clothes

I assume they are cutting back because of raising expenses inflation related, but it was not what I was used too I usually take photos but forgot to for some reason The room is slightly larger then a standard king bed room at other hotels There was no bag for the ice bin, no tissues I like the bathroom!!! The tub had a very modern design with a large drain slit The soap shampoo and conditioner bottles were in a holder on the wall I would recommend this place

Rebekah Hunter

We really liked this apartment It was very clean and spacious It was convenient to downtown, and there was parking right across the street for a very reasonable price

We did have trouble with the keypad for the building, which I won’t hold against the property itself because I understand it’s the building owner who is responsible for that, but they did have someone on the property at the time of check in who was able to help us, and there is a key card once you enter the room that worked just fine Also, the little convenience store in the lobby was a nice surprise

Amy D

Not sure if there is any actual on site staff but did see a security guard in the lobby a few timesSupport was virtual but always accessible, had a slight issue with the thermostat and it was promptly resolvedOur suite was actually more like a studio apartment with full kitchen, high ceilings and very comfortable

The building is older – as are the elevators but we mainly used the stairs so wasn’t an issue – but the suites are very modernizedOverall we enjoyed it and would stay there again

bree williams

If you are not familiar with the area, the property can be difficult to find This was my first “virtual staffing” experience with a hotel, so it was odd not having someone there to greet you & tell you about the area I flew in from Los Angeles and so staff made accommodations to have my room prepared for early check in

That was much appreciated! I wasn’t aware the front door code was emailed to me, so I was waiting maybe 5 min to get inside of the property No big deal The room was nice! The only thing I noticed, was that it seemed like cleaning was rushed There was dust and dirt in all corners of the room and there were strands of hair on the shower wall Overall, a decent experience The noise from the city at night can get bothersome, but it is a city so it was expected Location is great Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and some attractions

Stopped on our way from NY to Tennessee to get a few hours rest The staff was AMAZING from the minute we checked in until we checked out Beds were comfy, room was clean & perfectly located for us to take our little dog outside

Highly recommend & if we ever need to stop for some rest again while traveling through Ohio, hands down we will stay at the Country Inn & Suites!

Sara Rawls

Stayed at the Hotel for a business event When I checked in I went to hand the front desk my tax exempt form and the gentleman told me they did not need a copy of it I then went to my room and when I went to use the restroom there was a massive water damage leak that look like it was about to burst in any minute

The rooms are extremely small and definitely did not have any renovations done on them when the building was updated As well I was on the first floor where someone could have walked up to my window and seen completely in my room if the blinds weren’t kept shut When I went to check out, they had not removed the taxes I then went and gave them another tax exempt form and ask them to email me the updated receipt When I received the email they had charged me twice for state tax instead of removing it I then had to return to the hotel after my event and wait an hour for them to get my receipt correct While I understand it was not one soul person, and some situations cannot be controlled, this was not the full case with everything that happened to me Especially for not having any real breakfast except for grab and go items, this hotel is not worth the money or the difficulties

Tori Foltz

The hotel was incredibly easy to find from the interstate, and we weren’t expecting a Waffle House in the same parking lot so that was an added bonus Came up last weekend for a concert and only stayed for one night and got a late checkoutThe people working check-in Saturday were doing an awesome job despite being busy

We didn’t get up in time for breakfast, but right now it’s grab and go because they are short staffed (which I can completely understand!) so just keep that in mind when you’re looking to book

The best customer service! I did not stay at the hotel itself, but I can vouch that their customer service is outstanding I dropped my purse by accident near their parking garage Luckily someone found it and took it to the front desk at Holiday Inn

The manager found me on social media, messaged me, and kept my items safe in their office until I was able to return and pick it up I was so grateful! I was traveling for work and my ID, credit cards, EVERYTHING were in that purse I would have been stuck! Thank you so much to the team at Holiday Inn Downtown Cincy to saving my day

So courtyards have been historically hit or miss for me This experience was definitely a miss in my book This hotel was well cheaper than the other options in the area but you definitely paid for what you got

Everything technically worked but the bathroom was stained from the shower to the toilet There was also some kind of stain or paint all over the curtains and stains on the tablesHowever regardless of the rest of the rooms and the potential for cleaner or better kept rooms the number one reason you should avoid at least half of this hotel is This hotel practically sits on the highway You hear every braking trucker, every motorcycle or loud car exhaustStaff was very friendly and were available but there was an overly casual atmosphere with how they handled themselves Any time you ordered from the Bistro the dude was in the lobby on a laptop or lounging chit chatting to other guestsI would recommend you avoid this location if you care to have a restful uninterrupted night of rest Definitely getting added to the corporate do not travel listing

Brianna O’Daniel

My husband and I stayed here while in the area for a softball tournament this past weekend and we were overall pleased! The room was clean (aside from the shower floor) and included a microwave and fridge which was super helpful The front desk had a bag of extra towels handy for anyone who needed them which was great The location is nice and quiet and conveniently located near the Florence Mall and restaurants

Breakfast was not included but we didn’t really have time to sit and eat anyway, but just be aware of that when booking We would definitely stay here again!

Monica Gende

I did not heed the warnings from previous reviews because it’s a Marriott, it can’t be that bad! Spoiler alert…it is Some sort of weird black/moldy spots all over the blinds, lights out in the hallways, showers/bathrooms that aren’t well cleaned, linens that look very “well used”, and can’t even get fresh towels brought to the room? What’s the point of offering “service requests” on the app when after 2 hours you call the front ask ask about it and they say “you have to come get them” The walls are paper thin, so you hear almost everything happening beside you, upstairs, and in the hall ways

We didn’t have any issues with the sound of traffic because the room fan is loud enough to cover it up Bathrooms were just gross, and there was hair on the wall and the toilet seat when we arrived Everything seemed dingy and neglected, far from Marriott standards This is not a location I’ll stay at again Red Roof Inn offers the same quality for half the price

I have been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you for sure won’t be let downEverything about my stay was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and welcoming! Room was clean and modern And view was amazing I can honestly say this would be in my top 3 of hotel experiences! I will definitely book here the next time I’m in town

Brie Welch

Hotel is very clean, and feels modern If not a bit quiet even Hotel room was extremely spacious, clean, and bed was comfortable

Only disappointment was there was no hot-tub with the pool Gym was big and had everything you could need Staff was friendly, helpful and personally loved the atrium effect Good views of Ohio, rivers and bridges And close enough to walk to downtown – about 23 min over the bridge Would certainly stay again

Mary Regan

My sister, niece and I were there for an event and stayed 2 nights The staff was friendly and the room was great The view was phenomenal

the valet staff was witty and engaging each time we needed them The event was there in the hotel and I hope it will be again next year as I will be back and look forward to staying with you all again The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was when I checked in the front desk said I had a King room but I had booked a 2 queen room and was told I would have to take the king but then another associate indeed found me the room I booked I was given complimentary breakfast tickets which I thought was a nice touch The breakfast buffet was good

This was the best hotel stay I have had anywhere post covid Staff was friendly and helpful Room was spotless

Extremely quiet with no noise from other rooms being heard It has a very convenient location which worked well for the convention I was attending at Duke Energy Station Convenient parking Valet staff was very courteous to point out the closest parking garage when I stated I wanted to park myself The pillows and beds were so comfortable Thank you Hyatt Cincinnati for providing such a comfortable place to stay

Our stay was great! Hotel looked great I didn’t see past Lobby and room since we got there late in the day Room was so clean Hotel was in a great location

We were able to walk downtown for food We got a parking card that was later validated and parking was free This hotel was not far from Creation Museum we had visited earlier in the day

Stay: June 16-18thReason: ConferenceExperience: Overall, my stay was positive and enjoyable My room was comfortable and clean (but the bed doesn’t face the TV?) I had a great view of the fireworks at the Great American Ballpark! However, my check in experience was frustrating

I booked a room block with the conference I was attending which was a king room I was put in a double queen on the top floor I called down to the desk to ask if I could be placed in the correct room and they accommodated my request I hauled my luggage back downstairs to pick up keys to my new room, and once I got to the room the keys didn’t work I had to haul my luggage back down to the desk again to get new keys and finally was able to get into my room I dined at the breakfast buffet prior to checking out and overall the food was okay The bacon was pretty salty but everything else was tasty I do want to warn you that you will have to park across the street in the garage (it cost me $48 by the time I left on Saturday) and there is no assistance to transport your luggage, so prepare yourself!

Amazing place to stay if you’re visiting the zoo! The decor of this hotel is epic! The ambiance is as well! The restaurant could offer more of a selection of entrees, but overall very cool place to stay! The staff went above and beyond to make sure your stay with them was comfortable Nice size rooms with comfortable beds Very clean

This is one of the coolest looking hotels I’ve ever stayed in Loved all the kitschy decor over the walls in the room and throughout the property The employees were extremely welcoming throughout my visit

Parking in underground garage was secure and easy to get in and out Breakfast items are made to order in the lobby, and what I had was delicious

Skye Baker

The experience my friends and I had here was anything but amusing The rooms I must say are beautiful but with little inspection you can see how nasty they really are When we checked into our room we found a blood stain on the sheet

Looked like old period blood that was obviously never cleaned We were moved to a new room, a suite actually and given vouchers for breakfast Sounds amazing right? But no, our new room also had a huge urine stain on it At that point we were so tired we just asked for more blankets, inspected them and slept on chairs like old men And to make things worse in the morning they didn’t take our breakfast vouchers We went to the front desk and they wouldn’t accommodate us for anything We’re were also told they were overbooked for the next night so I expect more bad reviews coming soon Don’t stay here!!!! It’s cute in the pictures but not worth the stress!

I can say that this hotel is right on with average Marriott standards Smooth check-in, clean rooms with a shower which I prefer over bath tubs The restaurant and bar were very busy, and I am happy that they are over the COVID limitations! Normal hours and menu! The food was very well prepared and tasty

As busy as the bartender was, she managed a proficient service with a smile

Ralph Stan

Very convenient to the airport was only a few minutes, free shuttle service is very quick and convenient We had had an early flight and the shuttle was ready and waiting when we came down Would definitely stay there again, place was very clean and organized, staff was friendly and helpful, easy to get to, very good parking

Great experience!

Not a bad hotel Very convenient to get to the airport! Check-in was fast and easy The staff working at check-in were extremely friendly and pleasant! The rooms could have been cleaner! I was kind of disappointed with the cleanliness

I will say, we ordered food from the restaurant and the bartender was very rude, I honestly expect better! The food was good but he was so rude I will think twice before ordering food here again This is the first time staying at this Marriottusually have just stayed at a different Marriott not far The airport shuttle drivers were great Will more than likely stay here again

The hotel itself is beautiful and the view is amazing!! The rooms are okay, they could probably use some updating and the cleanliness of the room was okay The girl who checked me out was so friendly and had great customer serviceI would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area!!

Sasha Falls

This hotel is by far one of the most beautiful downtown unfortunately I did not get to stay at my last visit, as the Front desk would not let me check in I was assured by the paying party that my name was left at the desk as she was assured she did not have to leave me a key in that everything would be taken care of This however was not the case and I was not allowed to go up to my room that was already paid for, mind you I had already checked my car into the valet (tipped) and had my bags in hand

Not the best customer service as I have had fewer problems at far less expensive hotels and much more friendly staff to want to fix the problem I definitely will not be back here and I will not recommend this hotel in the future to others //Unfortunately the hotel made no attempt to contact me to correct this unfortunate experience even after contacting support Customer care is lacking greatly

Chad Worsham

I’m underwhelmed by this hotel The hosts at the front desk were friendly and cheerful, but they forgot to greet us as ‘valued members’ and no points or gift was offered And they charged us for valet parking, which we did not

The location is prime if you’re attending a game, but otherwise this property is not worth the exorbitant rate

This was such a great hotel and staff We came up for baseball – perfect location Easily walked to ballpark

The room was really clean and well maintained The staff – all of them – were friendly and courteous and responsive The girl checking us in offered suggestions for options for parking and dinner recommendations When we needed extra towels, they were at our door in under 10 minutes and were smiling and friendly All of the valet gentlemen were very professional and helpful… even though we didn’t valet our car When leaving Kyle opened doors and helped us load our belongings Such a great experience and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much!!!

The Renaissance Hotel was beyond beautiful, the staff was amazing, and working with their wedding coordinator (Danielle) was excellent! 10/10 – Would 100% recommend you have your wedding here The planning process was so easy with the Renaissance They were there to answer questions every step of the way, and they were able to offer up suggestions to make our planning process even better

The food was absolutely delicious! We had tons of rave reviews from our guest on the portion sizes of the meals and the quality of food When we went in for our tasting, we were blown away by the flavors You can’t make a wrong choice with the food options they have! We even had a farewell brunch with family and out of town guests the next day, and it was just as delicious To add to just how amazing the service is at the hotel, my 90 year old grandmother wanted a scoop of ice cream for dessert at the wedding and a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast the next morning, and they did it without any hesitation or questionAll around, the service at the Renaissance was above and beyond We had a small snafu where I sent an item out for drycleaning Friday night that I needed the next morning, and apparently the local cleaner wouldn’t have it done until Monday I still have no idea what happened, but the hotel got my item back from the dry cleaner while we were at the rehearsal dinner down the street Crisis averted!I can’t rave enough about the experience with the Renaissance hotel Between myself and my husband, our parents, and all of our guests, everyone was thrilled with the service and experience

I had my wedding hotel block at this hotel and would not recommend for a wedding block or event The hotel was noticeably understaffed and it was a very busy weekend in Cincinnati (Flying Pig Marathon) despite our wedding The Marriott App didn’t link with the hotel, and so check in was more complicated and no early check in was available

I had NO turn down service/new towels/housekeeping when I returned back to my room on wedding night, although I asked the front desk for this (checked in Friday, and no one came by Saturday) Rooms, in my opinion, are relatively small but are modern and clean During the planning process, I had to overall “work with” at least three separate sales/marketing directors, and even the regional and general director due to, I assume, staffing issues Galen, unlike Olivia and Gina, was very responsive but I feel as if all the work I put into it with him was not well utilized I tried to avoid room issues prior to the weekend— had to send names and hotel confirmation numbers for guests, run the list many times, and we still had issues of guest reservations not being able to be found, guests being given incorrect rooms because too many people with same last name, guests being accidentally checked out, etc This was disappointing because I tried to prepare and avoid this prior to the weekend Valet was wonderful upon check in and check out, but they were overwhelmed and were bringing people wrong cars (thankfully we are all family) These are just to name a few things I understand it was a busy weekend in Cincinnati; but a Marriott hotel should be able to handle this Overall, extremely unimpressed and would not recommend to a friend and would certainly not recommend for a wedding block/event This was by far my most stressful “vendor” to work with Because of that, we stayed in a different hotel the next evening prior to our flight

We actual originally picked this hotel because it was pet-friendly and we were traveling with our chocolate lab But I would definitely pick to stay here again when I’m in Cinci next time regardless of whether our pup was with us or not! The hotel and our room was clean, modern, and well taken care of And the staff was just amazing! All very friendly/welcoming and helpful staff members from the front desk to housekeeping who always asked us if we needed anything when we saw her

Mostly as a joke before we arrived, I asked that there be a bag of treats waiting for our pup in our room in the comments section when we booked the room He was overjoyed to find a bag of treats waiting for him! And staff gave him treats at the front desk frequently Great hotel, great location, great staff!

Disappointing beyond belief Our wedding reception venue is a 2 minute walk from this new hotel and as hard as we tried to book a block of rooms (without a discount) here, we were turned away at every opportunity I first reached out to Gina K, Their sales/ marketing lead, in September of 2021

After leaving 2-3 voicemail messages and receiving no reply a month later, I visited the hotel in person to hopefully chat in person I was told Gina was not in the office but again given her phone number I called again 3 times in October and November 2022, still to no avail Finally, in early December I contacted the front desk asking for the email address of someone who could give us just a little bit of information I was given Ginas email and reached out 3 times before receiving a curt reply that this hotel does not offer hotel blocks I replied to Gina explaining while I do not expect a discount, I would like to know if possible to secure ~30 rooms together, guaranteeing occupancy for 2 nights each It is now February 2022 and after following up several times to my email and leaving yet another voicemail, my question has not been answered Our wedding venue claims they have worked with this hotel since it opened but it appears the Kinley and their sales/ marketing department led by Gina have no interest in doing their job 5 months later we are finished trying to patronize this new Cincinnati hotel

Pleasant surprise! Nice, quiet stay Bed was comfortable and room was clean Nice size microwave & fridge

Staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful However, my AC didn’t work in my room One maintenance person replaced the batteries in the wall unit since it said low battery

We thought that would fix it but it didn’t Called the desk a few more times about it that night, they did eventually offer to move me rooms but I was going through a lot and didn’t feel up to doing that so they did bring a fan up that evening which helped get me through the night The front desk rep that answered that night opted to take $50 off my stay as well as have someone come fix the ac the next day I never did get the $50 credit but the maintenence man Don came the next day and got the ac to work He was honestly the kindest and most helpful person My first night staying i was also 3 minutes too late to the drink/snack thing they offer and was told it’s on a timer so they couldn’t help me plus no food was out anymore I know it was my responsibility to be there on time but I wasn’t even 5 min late and was denied both my drinks and food which was very disappointing All in all not a bad stay The room was beautiful and clean and the staff were very friendly and did try to be helpful but I’d be lying if I said this was a great Drury inn experience The pool and hot tub were the highlights of my experience here Absolutely lovely, well maintained and the hot tub was nice and hot 😌

Matt Burks

Very nice and well kept hotel Staff was thoroughly pleasant Check in was easy, room was ready at check in time

Room was very nice, didn’t feel cramped even with a standard King room Stayed during a busy weekend but heard no noise at all as walls seem well insulated Instead of little bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash the tub is equipped with dispensers so you have plenty Bed was very comfortable Breakfast is daily from 7-10 am and consists of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy along with various cereals, all very good There is also an evening meal served at 5:30 with a main course (varies by day), sides and snacks as well as 3 free adult beverages per guest, all meals served in a nice common area at no additional charge Parking is ample and hotel is easy to find Will definitely return
