My daughter’s wedding weekend was so enjoyable A welcome reception Friday night was wonderful Katrina helped me plan it and we had no problems at all

The room, bartender and host were all we needed to start the weekendThe bar was open after the Saturday wedding and the bar area and patio were perfect for unwindingWe arranged for a full breakfast buffet Sunday morning and again all our needs were met and we enjoyed it very muchAll the staff are friendly and professional

What a great place! I called with a last minute need to come into town for a corporate meeting and needed to bring my dogs In order to get to my meeting on time, I needed to check in early, get the dogs settled, and then head to work I spoke to Lauren and she made it easy after other local hotels turned us down

When I arrived, the general manager was working the desk himself and personally took care of me He gave me a room on the first floor, near the door, so I could easily take the dogs in and out The room was super clean and comfortable, I slept great, and was one happy customer with the way I was treated Thank you SO much!!!

Not a bad hotel Very clean Given staff shortages across the country they did the best they could to accommodate

The indoor pool was nice Breakfast buffet was around $15 per person and made to order omelette and eggsWould have given 5 stars but the fire alarm going of three times in the morning and lack of towels and pillows made it a 4 star experience

Nice modern hotel conveniently located near shopping and restaurants I stayed there three nights in April 2022 Sound proofing between the rooms was good, but not in the ceilings

The people above me kept walking back and forth, constantly, until 11pm I’m not sure what they were doing but I could hear it The hotel allows pets and across the hallway there was a dog constantly barking Why bring your pet if you’re going to leave them in the hotel all day? The breakfast was all pre-packaged, heat and serve type food The hotel itself was nice and clean though

Stephanie L Ellingsworth

Rooms were smaller then I thought they would be, being a suite and all Other than that, everything was pretty goodBreakfast was amazing due to the Belgium waffle maker they had

My favorite was that with a sliced banana on top and a little whipped creamOverall it was a good experience

Tanya Williams

The rooms here are rather small They have big fridges which is nice, but there were 4 of us (one of which was a toddler) and we didn’t have much room to move around Especially when the sofa bed was pulled out

We were not impressed with the breakfast either We ended up going out to breakfast We probably will stay at Homewood next time we visit this area

Everything about Whitewing was first rate Our room was attractive, well stocked and ideally located for social distancing and privacy The breakfast was exceptionally good

We skipped lunch on the days when we had breakfast Last, but not least, our hosts are great company It’s why people who always select B&Bs prefer them over hotels If you like meeting pleasant and interesting people, this is a place you shouldn’t miss Linda and I will be returning in May And no, this is not a paid endorsement

Tom Miller

We stayed 2 nights at Whitewing Farm and were treated like family by Lance and Sandy The welcome was warm and comforting On our first night we asked for the charcuterie board and were treated to an adventuresome creation of flavors, artfully displayed

It was better than any steak dinner The accommodations were very clean and comfortable Located in a beautiful setting, what’s not to love? We will be recommending Whitewing to all of our friends who want a true getaway

Marisa Gonzalez

Lance & Sandy both know just how to make their guests feel at home The moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and couldn’t wait to explore the gorgeous grounds We enjoyed a beautiful picnic prepared by Lance by the pond shortly after arriving, which was the perfect start to a lovely stay

The room was so cozy and breakfast in the morning was such a treat We truly can’t say enough good things about this place and the wonderful people who run it! Thank you for having us and we can’t wait to return

What a joy it was to spend our wedding weekend at Fairville Inn! We were lucky to rent out the entire inn for our family to be together, and the owners Xio and Willie were fantastic — gracious, accommodating, communicative, and warm and welcoming They stayed in touch with us in the months leading up to our wedding and helped us host meals for our large group – including setting up the food, tables, and tablescapes The rooms and indoor spaces are modern, tastefully decorated, inviting, clean, and calming, and the grounds–to include a pond, wide open green space, and gardens–are beautiful

The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious–the best pancakes we’ve ever had! Everything felt personal and picturesque Would highly recommend Fairville as a getaway spot, and for others who want a wedding weekend to remember

Chris S

First time staying here The room was actually much bigger than I expected, for what I imagined would be an older, smaller building Large bathroom also

Very quiet and peaceful when we were there Very clean and classy decor Breakfasts were very good Friendly staff It’s also a great location very close to several attractions in the Brandywine Valley We would have no hesitations coming here again in the future

Heather Cognata

We had a reservation at last weekend But unfortunately received a phone call that our room was still under renovation and therefore we wouldn’t be able to stay there They searched the area forus and found another lovely bed and breakfast

When we arrived to the bed and breakfast to check in they informed us that our room was paid for Due to the inconvenience of our room not being available the new owners of the Inn paid for our room at the other bed and breakfast It was completely unnecessary but totally appreciated It was really a kind gesture and we were flattered to know that such lovely, caring owners have taken over the inn We wish them great success!

First off let me commend the staff for really going above and beyond I made a request for a top floor room and put my Hilton honors number in the special request section on Hotelscom I later received an email from the manager saying they could accommodate my request

This was refreshing since so many hotels ignore themThe hotel is nice, quiet, and clean There’s bananas in the dining room which is so important to me It’s an convenient cheap snack that all hotels should haveMy only complaint is the gym It has the basics but could definitely use an upgrade Maybe an all on one machine and an exercise bikeOverall I’ve been enjoying staying here

Anna Suslowicz

My girlfriend and I stayed here with our 2 medical alert service dogs and we couldn’t have had a better time We drove down from MA for the reptile expo in Oaks and wanted to to to Philadelphia on Sunday Our check in was fast and the front desk was super friendly and knowledgeable about service dogs

We had problems with our TV remote and someone came up to fix it within 10 minutes The breakfast was great and it’s so nice to be able to have a Buffett style breakfast again I loved that check out wasn’t until noon! It gave us so much time to wake up and get packed Will definitely be staying here againAs far as cleanliness goes it was amazing! I bring a black light to every hotel I stay at and this one was by far one of the cleanest

Heidi Clark

The staff at Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Great Valley/Malvern are fantastic They graciously accommodated my family and moved us to another room after losing a night’s sleep because of the dog on our floor They truly take pride in their work

You are not just another client to them, they go above and beyond to ensure that you are treated like familyAfter our stay, my family continued our long trip home and stayed at another Hampton Inn Knowing the new Hampton Inn “pet-friendly” policy, I requested not to be near any pets, which they were happy to accommodate

Our experience dining in this charming place was very nice The food was prepared to perfection and the different quality of flavors make us want to come back again and again Our server was super sweet and very helpful and Michael the bartender was so friendly

He went out of his way to make our time special I had the rack of wild boar special and my wife had the duck We were very satisfied

Melissa Warren

Amazing dinner tonight for our anniversary We were seated next to the fireplace as requested and our server (Julia I think) was fantastic I came here for the weinerschnitzel and it did not disappoint

My husband had the lobster crepes which he loved We both had the chocolate mousse for dessert which was divine Beautiful restaurant, great food, great service

J Mills

I did not stay, but I feel like I did Dinner took foreverFood was a 3, service was a 2 if I’m being generous

It was obvious why there were so many empty tablesServer forgot the bread, then the soup, and then brought out the wrong entree, after she spilt wine on the table and water on my feet Not sure who was worse, our server who appeared to be high as a kite, or the server handling the table next to us who was a straight up whack-a-doService took so long the tables that were there were complaining to each other and comparing notes Was not the service expected from a fine dining establishmentTo top it off, we couldn’t even leave because a very angry attack goose guarding the exitNot impressed

Our 2-night hotel stay in December 2021 was so lovely! The staff was very attentive and our requests were met both efficiently and thoroughly On our second night, we returned to the hotel tired and cold from having been out and about all day long As we made our way toward the elevators from the lobby, we were overwhelmed by the sweet aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies — they had just put out a tray for hotel guests, complete with hot apple cider!! I mean, come on

It was just such an incredibly thoughtful gesture We also used the pool and hot tub on both nights of our stay and the whole pool area was kept clean and inviting The room itself was spacious with two double beds It was quite a wonderful and memorable stay for us (two adults and a small dog) Highly recommended!!

(Would like to thank night auditor Blaine for his patience!)Staff is very friendly and accommodatingI do wish they’d have checked in and out more towels during the stayNo exhaust fans in the bathrooms Hence the fire alarm… From a steamy shower

Disappointed When we arrived the first thing the innkeeper said to us was that we were early and that check in is not until 4pm Not the best greeting you should receive

Our room was very nice but the inn smelled of mold Breakfasts were also disappointing very small portions Usually inns provide tea & snacks in the afternoon there wasn’t any of that We won’t be returning

Mike Womer

My wife and I had an incredible 3 day stay at the Bed & Breakfast in March The breakfasts were unique and phenomenal The character of the house is amazing

Downtown West Chester is minutes away with what seemed like a 100 restaurants to choose from Throughout our 3 and 1/2 day stay we saw couples exploring the grounds to have their intimate small weddings there and my wife and I are definitely planning our next corporate seminar there Lori and John are the absolute best hosts

Mary Albert

My boyfriend and I stayed in Isabel’s room for three nights in February Despite it being the midst of Covid we had truly the BEST time Not only is the Faunbrook lovely, extremely clean, quiet and comfortable, the Innkeeper Laurie was a perfect host

The food was DEVINE unreal And Lori was perfectly present if we needed anything yet also totally gave us space to do our own thing We had the whole house to ourselves the week we were there and we enjoyed spending time on the porch and in the sitting room singing- we had full use of the Piano On our last morning another couple was there for breakfast, Laurie accommodated our needs of social distance by seating us in the sitting room and serving us there! She also left delicious homemade cookies for us throughout our stay We WILL be back and could not recommend this place more! It was the exact getaway we needed We loved the beautiful bathroom, the outdoor area is beautiful and close enough to walk to the town We didn’t even have a car and we took the half hour walk to the town many times to explore

Cleanliness was an issue 2nd floor hallway was heavily perfumed with automatic sprays The room has a mustiness to it…

Automatic sprays didn’t help the room So pretty sure the hallway smell was masked by the air fresheners Was only staying 1 night so not a big deal We went out right after check in to enjoy our day Got back late The bathroom looked like it had patch repair water damage and the wallpaper was peeling After about an hour in the room we noticed that around all the baseboards there was a line of what looked like cat litter And then there was cockroaches We tapped out at that point We checked out and went to the Fairview Very clean thereAt this Hilton I booked a double room and got a king handicap assessable room instead That part isn’t a big deal but the fact that I had all these issues in a room I wasn’t even supposed to have and not get a full refund is ridiculous My room rate was $244 including tax I wasn’t expecting the tax to be refunded but was expecting to get the full room rate back I was only given 30% backSeriously reconsidering being a Hilton Honors member

Deidre Mitchelli

The carpet in our room reeks of urine that is masked with cleaner that creates a sticky residue So “floor is lava” at this hotel Very disappointing, luckily the window opens to let fresh air in

The bed is comfy thankfully Unbelievable at this price point to have a room in this condition and very unusual in my long history of Hilton stay

Ryan Wenger

Staff came to our room asking if our 7 year old son was jumping around because they “received” a noise complaint and asked for him to stop It was 3:30 pm on a Thursday I said ok but was bewildered there was an issue

My son walks quietly (did not run at all) but did jump from bed to bed twice Later that night my son told me that on the drive to the hotel that morning he was super excited to go to a hotel but now he was super excited to leave the hotel He asked why did they get mad at him when he wasn’t making a lot of noise It broke my heart because I remember how exciting it was to go to hotels as a kid and they took that from him To make it worse, the pool was shut down by the health inspector based on the note on the pool door When my wife asked about it when we were checking out the next day, the staff denied it and said it was closed due to maintenance Again There was a note from the health inspector that says he closed it down The staff was either lying or completely unaware of what is going on in their hotel Add in the fact that the elevator was past due for it’s inspection and made some curious noises made this a terrible end to our trip I’ve always had great stays at Hilton Garden Inns in the past and this is not a negative post on them but for this specific hotel I highly suggest finding another hotel to stay at, especially for families

Where to begin

I’ll just leave this I traveled 25 miles past my business endeavor to stay at a Marriott hotel Been up almost 24 hrs traveling, doing my business and just looking to relax and get a good long sleep in Go to check in get my key and get to bad after getting a late dinner delivered Set alarm and get to bed 8:00 am I awaken suddenly to banging at my door “House Keeping!! House Keeping!! I slowly get up and open the door and she’s banging on other people’s door I shut the door try to get more sleep to no avail I now hear her cleaning next door talking loudly I just get up and prepare to leave I go out the door and look around to see she has piles of towels at each door she’s cleaned already it’s only 9:15 am I voice my concerns with checkout and told she’s just trying to get done early I told the clerk that’s a bad practice and I was looking forward to sleeping in Was told sorry I just said I would get breakfast I walk to the breakfast area and looked bomb went off all food was gone, trash everywhere Nothing but yogurt and bottle of water Very disappointing stay and surprisingly at a Marriott run place Just a waste of $$ for nothing

I’m confused by all the raving reviews I didn’t find the staff to be very friendly or professional One complained about starting a shift on the elevator and the person at the front desk showed zero emotion

When we asked if the room was ready, we were told and early check in would be $50 Either the room is ready or it’s not I’ve never been told this by a hotel on arriving 2 hours early The rooms were average at best Toilet dirty, ac unit falling apart and noisy refrigerator We were told parking at the hotel lot would be $20 and were charged $25 We didn’t have enough towels and washcloths for the 3 people in the room The location is great That is all this hotel has to offer over a budget hotel And it’s 3 times the price Never again

Kathy Shoemaker

The pool is finally open! Very clean and refreshing! Nice new front desk team member, couldn’t be nicer and helpful Gave me a restaurant card got 20 percent off my meal SCORE! They accepted it at a brand new restaurant that just opened! Rooms meticulously made Very clean and enjoyable

Will no doubt come back Hopefully the restaurant and bar in the hotel will soon be open every day

Best location for hotel in downtown West Chester Standard hotel otherwise They had a email data leak and my email has been getting spammed from the with fake “reservation” emails

Don’t open the excel file it is a virus, excel macro I called their office and asked if they would alert their customers and said, no, their IT people are on it hope too many people haven’t gotten

Being a very old building, you cannot hold it to the same level as a fancy pants hotel But that’s why we chose it Yes, the furniture has some wear and the bathroom looked like Aunt Betty’s 1970’s house

That made it feel like you were visiting family! In a nice wayThere were some hiccups such as no towels in the bathroom But the staff was quick to correct Overall, everyone we encountered was very friendlyThe places we wanted to go to were about 30 minutes away I felt it was worth it to enjoy the scenic drives

jet heng

Owner was very accommodating Can’t fault the elevator broke down the night before arrival One of the room had the ac went out but we propped up the window with a paper towel roll

We totally understand that the hotel was built during the civil war; maybe why the bed was hard The streets were very noisy by 5am with semis roaming through like nobody’s business Staff is nice My only complaint was no breakfast during the week although it said price included continental breakfast The September was the only alternative for breakfast with 20% senior discount Nevertheless, this hotel is very historic!

John Buckwalter

Awesome weekly and Monthly rate If you aren’t appreciative of the staff you should be ashamed They’ll go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home

This isn’t the Ritz Carlton It’s a very fair priced hotel and restaurant, with a good atmosphere in the downstairs pub, and upstairs restaurant I lived here for about 2 months, couldn’t have been more easy going and helping staff I’ve encountered Even at hotels in Vail and Aspen, I didn’t get the personal and enjoyable staff experience I did here, with both hotel and restaurant staff

Has a bar but not open but they keep bottled beer in the refrigerator No breakfast Pool is not open

Hot tub is not open Shower door didn’t close Brand new hotel and looks good inside but no available amenities Was told no amenities due to staffing issues Overcharged for the room Had to debate a late checkout Elevator needs servicing, sounded like it was going to collapse Brand new hotel, but at least it was clean

Air conditioning didn’t work, I called they told me to turn it off then back on and wait Room got up to 82 degrees then I called back and they told me they would try to move us and she would call back She just showed up at the door, with and attitude, like it was very inconvenient for her

said the hotel was sold out sold out but somehow she got us a room and told us we were lucky one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a hotel

Arrived to check-in after calling to see if I had to be there by a certain time They told me that I could arrive any time When I arrived I was told that they had “sold my room” by someone very rude

They lied and said they were trying to call me (they didn’t try) I ended up having to sleep on the couch of someone else’s room That room was basic and had absolutely no water pressure in the shower I’ll never stay at a Marriott again

I cannot say enough good about this place Aside from a wonderful visit two years ago, in December I had a medical emergency while staying with them, and they made everything so easy They ensured that my partner and I had access to our former room to ensure we got everything out, and also gave us a new room to stay in

Despite the trauma of a vacation turning into a life-threatening episode, we still managed to have a really nice time outside of that incident–all because they took such good care of us That’s the kind of experience you don’t forget Anytime we come back here, we know just who to stay with

I’m not complaining just pointing out area’s that could be improved Not enough lighting in the room There’s a post directly in the view of the TV from desk

Couch isn’t comfortable Foot stool & ironing board had stains There’s only one filtered water location It’s warm water so adding unfiltered ice defeats the purpose Snacks for sale are junk food I don’t care for the breakfast but it’s free The oatmeal is mush They do have Chobani Greek yogurt The staff and manager are great, kind, helpful, courteous and respectful

Stay away!!!!! The absolute worst of the worst!!!! And they will steal you money!!!!!! We were accused of smoking in the room and charged and extra $350!!!!! We were taking our 10 year old nephew to a basketball tournament!!! Yes 10 YEAR OLD!!! And they accused us of smoking in the room and charged us $350!!!!!! When we called to discuss the matter and explain obviously there was NEVER any smoking in the room, they proceeded to accuse us of it again Absolutely unbelievable!!!!!!!! I literally have no words for the terrible staff and manager Alexandria except that they were the absolute worst!!!! And also extremely rude and condescending! So stay away everyone unless you want to be robbed of your hard earned money!!
