I have been to other health camps, this one is by far the worst camp possible for your health The food and nutrition was so bad I lost 2 days of my life throwing up, only to find out that this happens to 15% of clients In addition the food was literally damaging my kidneys

This too is common! They take your blood weekly just to manage how much damage to your kidneys they are causing I tried to stick it out but had to eat out for lunch and dinner in order to regain my health, breakfast was the only healthy meal there Their workout routine is boring with very little diversification What they offer is nothing a person can use for any type of a sustainable lifestyle change for long term health They promote weight loss not fat loss All the weight loss comes from water weight only and is back on you in a week

Kristie Meave

This is my second time at Pritikin and it is absolutely transformative While the classes and workouts are great, the real value is in what they teach you about health Within two days of being here my blood pressure has dropped from 152/102 on meds, to 114/ over 73 off meds

It’s all about education and what salt, poor diet and lack of exercise does to your body Unlike other resorts there is an entire medical team here that really listens and takes the time to explainWhile it is expensive, about $11,500 ( high season) for two weeks for a private room, all meals: classes are included as well as access to the full resort and spa and other things like cooking classes Additionally, the cost is a small price to pay on what could be exorbitant medical bills in the futureAll staff is incredibly kind 5 stars!!!Also ages run the gamut There are 70 year olds healthier than this 45 year old

Steven Galtier

Very effective program for weight loss and educational seminars – 3rd trip in the last 2 years – includes a complete physical – got off a blood pressure med while here and still off of itA+ rating in my book

This hotel is 5 stars The room is clean, bed very comfortable Location is a little far from South Beach but for the price it’s worth it to drive

They have an on-site Bistro they offer breakfast from 630 until 1030a and also dinner from 5 until 10p Menu offers a lot of nice choices I am impressed and will definitely revisit this establishment in the future

David Thielke

Overall real nice place to stay Our first room smelled like smoke and we had to change rooms Our next room needed a little maintenance but overall was really clean

The pool was disgustingly dirty and not well maintained The little restaurant and bar they have is really nice The food is good and convenient You don’t have to leave the premises

Yadira Peets

Worst Courtyard I have EVER stayed at!!! First they charged me again when checking in after I had already paid for the stay online Then they posted it back to my account but it takes days to stop pending Then during the night they charged another incidental fee

Second the pool is disgusting!! Third, they were banging on our door at 8 am so they could change batteries to the door lock that was working perfectly fine Fourth, the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned God only knows what else was not cleaned properly WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN!!

During checking at 9:30 PM the desk clerk was rude, like I was interfering with her evening I asked to have my rooms cleaned daily Responded “we don’t do that here”

When asked why, the response was because of the pandemic Really, from someone who is in a different city every week, this is the first hotel in over a year that refused to clean rooms when asked Just another example of a hotel reducing services using the pandemic as an excuse Continental breakfast consisted of Jimmy Dean sandwich turkey sausage and overcook dry omelets Not very appetizing Location is not that convenient, down an alley in the back The management allowed a large freight truck to block ten spaces right in front of the entrance reducing the already limited parking ” Should have parked on the side” Checked out this morning Same desk clerk, still rude, still unhelpful Was going to stay another week here as I still have business in Miami but I changed to a more accommodating hotel To be honest this treatment is what I have come to expect from the Marriott brand Will do my best to stay at more accommodating brands in the future

HAPPY HAPPY VIBES

Nice area However closet space one 🌟 Over all the lighting 2 stars It would be nice to actually have lighting in the shower

I dropped down the rating as I just checked my bill and saw a additional expense I called Hyde Midtown It seems they were missing a mini bar item The day I check out I spoke with management and ask for them to look into their own personel to have made sure all items were there when I check in, or if it was the same person replenishing and taking the items For this dishonesty in-house I am no longer happy with the experience of me staying at Hyde Park Midtown It could have been a honest mistake However I am not paying a extra $60 because someone decided to pull a fast one Specially when my room was left in immaculate condition

Chellee Littlejohn

My husband and I had the best experience at this hotel We only stayed 2 nights but could not have been happier with the experience We stayed in a suite and it was perfect and beautiful

The pool is fantastic But most importantly the people are some of the most impressive I’ve witnessed in the hospitality industry Post Covid it can be difficult to find truly service driven representatives Those that take pride in their job meanwhile providing a top notch experience to their customers We found that here and the star of the show was Marilyn at the front desk Overall this neighborhood is adorable offering one the chance to take in all that Miami has to offer with many things in walking distance or a short Uber ride away I recommend checking out Wynwood A beautifully fun and artistic up and coming neighborhood very near to this hotel Thank you again Hyde Suites

Ellie Cachette

Zero customer service Overpriced They will charge your card $150 per night authorization, as well as $22 a day resort fee atop of this and not refund your authorization if you don’t eat or use it

When you ask staff for any type or help they will become unpleasant and simply say “they don’t know”Save yourself $200+ extra a night in fees and skip this place

The guy at the front counter very nice, however according to him he was the only on duty that night Our room AC was set on fan and I could not adjust/change the settings (room never got cold), the TV would NOT come on at all, we unplugged it and try a different outlet and it never came on, they did NOT have toiletries as they were completely out (front desk guy stated) and we was never offered to change rooms Will definitely NOT be staying there again

Charissa

No hot water in shower or sink, called front desk twice- no answer- went down to front desk no customers around Front desk lady was unhelpful, unfriendly and acknowledged they knew that there are numerous rooms that the hot water doesn’t work Refused to offer us any compensation for our troubles, wouldn’t switch rooms when I requested it, stating, “ I don’t know what other rooms don’t have hot water…” she stated that other customers are having hot water issues as well

So they are aware, yet, not offering compensation for their problems Hotel old and dated, photos look better than in person, very loud room…next to freeway and loud elevator, mold in shower on ceiling and walls Dark, poorly lit hallways and rooms need attention and updating Outdoor pool is freezing cold Workout room is lacking, only one machine functioned (when I tried all four)Front Staff unwelcoming and unfriendly Didn’t welcome me or acknowledge me as a reward points member- I had to ask at check out if I was given my points Not the greatest area, very far away from the airport & no hotel shuttle as advertised on their website For the price we paid, very poor value Would NOT recommend staying here Worst Holiday Inn property we’ve ever stayed at, we are frequent travelers I choose Holiday Inn properties for their reputation, this hotel doesn’t fit the Holiday Inn standards Find someplace else

shannon Conway

This hotel service is terrible Do not recommend staying here You should not put your diamond elite customers in the rooms that have no hot water

Then tell them oh sorry it’s something we can note, but there is nothing we can do Then when you ask for a hair dryer 3 times and you say ok no problem and it never comes I don’t usually post bad reviews but I do expect a hotel to make traveling for work suck less, not more I don’t think that’s asking too much

Picasso

Best local Broward hotel I have been at so far I had a room on the 5th floor which had a great view of the Hard Rock Guitar hotel in Hollywood, the Miami Dolphins Stadium and the downtown Hollywood buildings etc in the distance

The room featured a large window, microwave, small refrigerator which was great as many higher end hotels don’t always offer microwave and refrigerator As an added bonus, free breakfast was included dailyAs some have mentioned, there is an occasional odor mainly when outside due to a sewer plant down the street but did not impact my stay Will definitely be returning Highly recommended

ME NF

Nice property, rooms were really bigThe breakfast its free and good enought! Our room was accesible and the o ly inconvenience was the bathroom get’s really soak with a small showerNice stay

Very large and nice looking room, but when A/c was off room smelled of smoke, and bed was rock hard I slept well as I do anywhere but my wife had a rough couple of nights We did advise staff of smell and they were prepared to apply some kind of deodorizer but I told them it was fine as A/c was effective in removing it while we were there

All round staff was great with every encounter Was located conveniently close to where we were working

Christina Steier

The hotel was clean and modern The price was reasonable I was slight taken aback by the fact that nobody came in to clean the room between nights because I haven’t traveled in awhile but the party I met for work advised that this is the new norm which I’m ok with

My only suggestions would be to offer a restaurant and rethink the bathroom cabinetry First, there were dining options a short drive away and some basic snacks in the lobby Breakfast was offered and good, but a dinner option would have been nice since it was a work trip and I needed to attend to some business in the evening Finally, it would be best if the faux door fronts in the bathroom didn’t have handles on them They looked like doors which I attempted to open The decorative panel came down when I pulled on it and struck by bare toe It was painful and then mildly sore for a few days, but was an unnecessary injury Overall, the stay was good and comfortable

Aubrey Devine

Chose this Marriott property due to proximity for a business trip It was apparent from check-in that management doesn’t care about the property or customer experience Lobby items like grab & go areas were empty, only one elevator worked, mini fridge wouldn’t lower below room temp, shower items like shampoo and conditioner were not only empty but the canisters were removed entirely, and the linens and towels weren’t cleaned between guests

I found multiple types of hairs in towels and sheets Tried to make it work as I’d had a long day and an early morning Asked twice for a clean set of sheets to be sent to my room Both times sheets were too small I decided not to stay and went next door to Hampton Inn Front desk told me to call the manager tomorrow regarding billing Spoke to GM Fernando, who told me the room was 100% non-refundable even though I checked in 4 hours ago and was not staying the night Period I’ve never been so disappointed in Marriott, and will be removing this property from our corporate group booking option

I really liked the hotel once we actually got our room Very nice scenery around hotel but the weather was bad and we didn’t get any pictures The cleaning staff took to long to clean the rooms so even at 3, they still weren’t clean, waited till 4 for actual check in and it still wasn’t ready

We got checked in around 420, I just think the cleaning staff needs to be more attentive and finished cleaning at a certain time but definitely worth my stay I will return

Eros Bongiovanni

We liked this hotel BUT1 Reserved a room with a balcony Arrived to find that we were not given a balcony, instead we were given a “patio”

Not the same Our request to be moved to a balcony was denied2 Woken at 6:30 am by staff in the hallway making an absolute racket for 30 minutes3 There has been someone power washing the pool area since 8:45 Extremely loud Not exactly relaxing

Mark Gray

I remember when this was the Don Shula hotel I grew up just a few blocks from here and it was so cool to stay here It still is, this was a wonderful experience

The housekeeping was great, the room was comfortable, and that bed was the best sleep I’ve had on this trip The front desk was perfect Raphael was kind, courteous, and charming From the point where I checked in all the way to my check out The Miami lakes hotel was trying to make my trip that much better Next time I come to south Florida I’ll be coming here again

The staff was very courteous We had been traveling all night and were exhausted We planned to sit in the vehicle until check-in

The manager had a room that someone had checked out from early They expedited the cleaning of the room & allowed us to check-in early & be able to rest The facilities are great! We stayed in a studio that had a sofa bed & a full kitchen with pots, pans & silverware They had a gym with free weights, a bench, treadmill & elliptical They had a basketball court and even a grill They had a full size breakfast that was plenty good Probably the best experience we have had at a lower than 5 star hotel ever They made it feel like 5 stars! 👏👏

marylou mathewson

The last time I stayed here, it was great, just couldn’t eat breakfast as I’m gluten free Have a family member who is in a wheelchair, 1 Bedroom is very tight quarters, really doesn’t work for us The gal who checked us in doesn’t know the rooms nor does she know the Courtyard next door

There is no answer when calls I’m expecting come in and the message center doesn’t work I loved the girls at the Residence Inn in Coconut Creek and the bar So friendly and attentive Miss you folks up there but can’t get a 2 Bedroom, handicapped for over 2 weeks

James Taylor III

Excellent price and spacious, clean room (it’s a “Residence Inn” so King Suite was normal selection for a standard single King room)However, the internet connection via WiFi is not secured forcing running a VPN on all devices for business and personal needs, and lack of dining in-house and amenities (toothbrush, etc) not even available for purchase costs a starThat said, as a hotel and place to stay, it’s fantastic with just a couple quirks like a separated main and lobby building

Great shower – best hotel shower in maybe 5 years – and truly spacious for the priceStaff was incredibly friendly – I am terrible with names, but they were all kind and helpful and generous I plan to stay here again any time I cannot get a rental car (lack of sidewalks is not the hotel’s fault, but something to know if in the area)

The rooms are spacious and clean Some things we did not like restaurants on site is only open Thursday-Sunday, no laundry service at all You can not check in early to your room earliest is 3pm

The bar was closed So we had to go into Doral to a restaurant and sit for two hours until our room was readyKitchen comes pretty stocked with dishes, cups and plates, coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher Best way to describe this place is apartment/condo complex No view out your room accepts for a bunch of tree branches It is gated and the pool area is pretty, very small hot tub for guests to use Only allowed house keeping every three days They will bring extra towels and things if you ask Not all what we thought it would be false advertising as far as views on the room’s But if you don’t care about that, then it is okay place to stay Side note a lot of traffic and construction on the freeway going to Miami Beach so give yourself time to get to activities you’ve planned We would pay the extra money next time and stay closer to downtown Miami

S.R.

The location is close to the airport and that’s a positive, however, our experience with the actual facility was just okay The folks at the reception are not very friendly and it took us over an hour for us to get checked in; They also didn’t have the villa we had booked and instead had our group split to two different rooms in two different buildings The rooms are okay; they show their age but if you just want to sleep for a few hours and move on, i guess it works

They have a swimming pool which looked nice (we didn’t use it) and a gym thats open after 7 am Their porter is a nice guy but it takes forever to get a ride on the golf cart to go to your buildings (some can be a good 15 min walk from the reception) They have a breakfast buffet which is pricey and not associated with the hotel, so there is always confusion about payments The waitress at the breakfast place is wonderful though Overall, my recommendation is to find another place Not worth the money

Gioconda Vidal

Very nice place, in this opportunity I wasn’t staying or showing any of the rental units (I’m a realtor and have leased a few units here) so I was using the amenities for a professional event The staff was very nice and courteous, the place was impeccable clean, the lunch served was delicious and healthy The parking situation was a little crowded, however, I found a spot pretty fast

I have leased several units for Asian clients in different buildings and they were OKOverall I had a good experience ✅

Beautiful hotel Came here on a volunteer voucher The hotel room is very clean and stunning

Smells incredible and includes all you will need as complimentary little things The pool area is incredible and has a bunch of games for the kiddos on a hidden little area past the laundry mat Very friendly bartender/server I got a chicken Caesar my bf got a Cuban sandwich and coconut shrimp I was craving a salad and it def hit w the chicken The coconut shrimp was bomb and intense flavor w it’s little mango salad on top

Vanny Thach

Everything was nice and modernly designed Comfortable king bed Aestethic lighting

Food was delicious and staff was extremely friendly Very down to earth and better than any hotel I’ve been to so far The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the floor I stayed on (6th) reeked of a lingering mildew smell Probably from the carpets being constantly wet from pool-goers? Oh yeah, and the rooftop pool and layout was incredible!

I have stayed at hotels over 1000 nights of my lifeThis place is way over priced! I have no issue with paying 500 per night for a room if it warrants thatHotel staff as a whole was catered to Latin community

Even to them, they weren’t exactly helpfulThe breakfast had no real variety Burned croissants, odd breads For $15 breakfast with almost non existent staff, we were much happier at Dennys up the street 3 blocks30 dollar per night parking in a garage that smells like pee The “security” at the gate acted like he only spoke SpanishI have lifetime Mariott rewards at the silver level- but currently Gold member, and I can say you are better off giving this place a hard pass as it’s not worth more than 150 per nightThe thermostat is motion sensitive, installed directly next to the bed Our group was woken up probably 20 times per night from that aloneThe sheets were always a bit damp from the humidity The decor- they were selling paintings they were putting up during breakfastA truly odd experience

Nice place to stay Calm neighborhood in general But the wall are thin like paper and unfortunately, my daughter and I has to deal with an arguing couple noises all night long

We felt like we were in the same house😔 The kitchen is full option, the place was very clean and comfy Didn’t like the bed but it’s just a question of taste There are buses stops around, some food markets 8 min away at feet

Isis

From start to finish, staying here was seamless! We got the code for the lock box well before check in time and we were able to check in and out with no interaction with others Towels, shampoo, and body wash are provided and the room has many provided amenities Our only complaint was that the walls were extremely thin and we could hear every word our neighbor was saying as well as when they were using their television

Just take that into consideration as it resulted in lost sleep for us

Turney Maurer

I stayed at Cottages El Portal while I had to host several presentations throughout Miami/Naples/Boca Raton for the week It was the perfect location to get anywhere, and the neighborhood was very quiet Made sleeping at night easy especially with the AC unit by the window next to the bed

My room had a full kitchen so I was able to go get groceries down the street, like a 5 minute drive away I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a lowkey stay in a cool, authentic Miami neighborhood with gyms, great restaurants, and everything else you need nearby

The area where the hotel is located has a lot of suspicious people walking around The hotel is upgraded a little but it’s cheap upgrades The water pressure in the bathtub/shower area is horrendous

If you want hot water, you have to let the water run for 5 to 8 minutes If you want to take a shower, good luck because the shower pressure is really badThe gym area is OK My only issue was it was cold one day The next day it was really warm I asked the front desk agent to turn the ac cooler but he wasn’t very helpfulI’m definitely not staying here again There are better hotels out there

This place was amazing we stayed for 5-6 days minus the little hick up at first it was perfect for us it was our anniversary and we had a great time the staff was perfect the room was perfect the bistro really knows how to cook Unfortunately my husband got food posion from the sushi he stopped and picked up from the Publix as a surprise for me because I told him that was what I wanted to eat for dinner but it got really warm so it went bad we were heading to the keys for our anniversary but we stopped because he was tired of driving and we ended up staying the whole vacation at courtyard Marriott hotel by the airport and we had a great time it might not have been the keys but the hotel was quiet and beautiful and staff was great and helpful And like I said before the bistro really knows what they are doing

And the Starbucks coffee was perfect to

Called the front desk, @5:30pm 4/29/2022 needing to set up 5 room for employees that where coming in on business for 22 days The lady at the front desk told me she didn’t have time to set up any reservation and she wouldn’t ever look to see if they had available rooms So I did what any consumer would do and took my 19k in business to their competitors down the street

If she was that rude to me on the phone, I wonder how she treats the guest after they have your money

Gorgeous hotel and very friendly staff I stayed in the king suite and it was beautiful! Very spacious with the bedroom and seating area that can be closed off The bathroom was huge and shower was wonderful

Loved how open it looked when the bathroom curtain was up but could be closed if you wanted privacy The only complaint I would have would be the lighting in the rooms was pretty dark and I would have appreciated brighter bulbs with dimming

I booked this hotel based on the reviews and location being near the airport Karen was awesome She checked me in with over and beyond service

Friendly and quickly at that The room was just as pictured in the photos! Which was definitely a plus I understand why the bathrooms were mentioned so much Very nice Very quiet for being near the airport Bartenders and the shuttle drivers were also very attentive and friendly I will definitely stay here again Thank you for a nice hotel experience Karen and staff!

This was my first time even hearing about EB hotel— and I’m happy that I did The staff is kind and accommodating and very helpful The rooms are modern and clean, and the beds are very comfy

It’s also easy to get to with the airport shuttle Last but not least the breakfast is yummy and affordable— not so much the dinner But still it’s very convenient to have the restaurant on site I’ll be back next time I have a layover in MIA

Good:Off the Turnpike exitClean roomsStandard room is spacious

Quiet hotelBad:Not too many bad things, so I’ll say needs improvementBreakfast was kinda limited as far as continental breakfast goesOnly dark roast coffee?!? YuckNo hot chocolate Not even the single packetsDefinitely a work location (not near any attractions)Its lakeside, nice looking outsideDid not visit weight room or pool but they have both

Happy Girl

The room looked nice However, there were dozens of small black bugs by the sink and coffee machine We asked to move to another room

The second room on another floor had the same issue The third room we got moved to still had the bugs but less of them They were also at the front desk I’m dissatisfied with this location due to the bugs and now I don’t feel comfortable eating the breakfast there since there are bugs on that floor too Not a good experience

The hotel is a very nice place, the rooms are huge This is a pet friendly hotel they need to tell guests they are staying in a pet friendly floor or room

I had to ask if there were animals in the room as I am allergic to pet hair and dander I was wheezing and coughing the whole visit, I literally went through a whole inhaler I just feel they should notify guests or ask if they are ok staying in a room that has had animals stay

Comfortable room Modern and clean We booked this to have airport transfer, but then found out later their shuttles don’t run until 7am, which was too late, so that was disappointing

The biggest issue is the SMELL While it’s meant to smell good, it’s some type of overpowering scent wafting through the lobby that made us all feel sick while standing there It’s definitely way too strong Not sure how the employees can handle that honestly Otherwise, good hotel

Joanna Markman

Had high hopes for this hotel but they were dashed Stayed two nights with my family first room we were given was dirty, toe nail clippings on the floor, the shower only had one setting hell hot, when reported to front desk they offered to move us The next room a lot light was falling out of the ceiling and the shower door leaked creating a large puddle on the floor

We were offered breakfast for our inconvenience however didn’t take advantage as the breakfast stopped at 10 All in all not going to stay at this on again

It’s a smaller resort with only one pool but it’s a good size pool Staff were friendly Rooms are a good size and the kitchen is adequate

We found the bed uncomfortable There is a free shuttle to downtown Doral and City Place for great restaurants The resort has a small bar and grill pool side but is only open 1:30-5:30 There are 6 gas grills for guests which we used to make a wonderful meal Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back

ShaTerra Jenkins

This has been by far the best property I’ve stayed at in Miami I probably won’t go elsewhere whenever I visit again The villas are so spacious with beautiful views, quiet, and the staff is so friendly

My kids even loved it They have daily activities and the pool is very spacious We felt like we were home You aren’t fighting over a pool seat like other places You can get around where you need to with shuttle if not too far I wish I knew that before I rented a vehicle I have nothing bad to say

Charles Williams

I enjoyed spending time in the villas mainly because of the outstanding staff Whether you check in, call the front desk, meet the concierge, or talk to the cleaning lady, they are all responsive, courteous, and hardworking The resort is on the verge of becoming obsolete and they need to review their cleaning policy during covid

Either they have to make sure to send clean linens and towels midweek, or they have to come and clean the roomsIn general, I rested

We stayed for 5 days at this casino and we really enjoyed it You really don’t even have to leave once you arrive They have several dining options and the food is really good

My favorite was the rise and the council oaks They have an amazing spa (pricey but worth it) I have never experienced a spa any better! They have different clubs, bars ,nice pools and shopping places You honestly couldn’t ask for anything more The only cons are : valet is $30 a day and the beds in the rooms are not comfortable

Thomas Dzielak

Such a great casino Stopped here on my birthday weekend Very clean, nice food court to grab a quick bite to eat

A few gift shops to get some souvenirs In Wish they would open more table games earlier in the day The Seminole rewards card isn’t as hyped up as they make it to be Played tables, slots, etc and only got a few comp dollars Hotel rates are absolutely overpriced, even for in state residents which supposedly have promotional rates All In all, it’s a great getaway and a quick day vacation Free parking garage which is certainly a benefit

Lee Syrop

We had not been here in several years The renovation is beautiful and everything was in excellent shape The stores were beautiful but empty of shoppers

The restaurants were busier – yet the prices were high (but expected) We ate in the food court at the Asian Fusion location Food was good Prices not too high I did not gamble but enjoyed watching my girlfriend play She had fun even though she lost
