Stayed here overnight on our way back home Making the reservation through the app was easy The room was nice, clean, and spacious

The reason why I deducted a star is because the check-in procedure took longer than it should have The employee was in the back office area and I waited approximately 15 minutes until she came out and checked us in Check-out was fast and simple

Gillis Hamilton

Nice large rooms, friendly staff They have a small breakfast at 7am Very limited selection of breakfast food

I wish coffee was available earlier, The coffee pot in the room was very dirty is why I gave it 4 starsThe hotel is very close to a variety of chain restaurant’s I recommend staying here When I return to the area I will come back

Sarah York

Room was clean but let’s be real the main thing is the bed comfort!Ik this is one of the 1st things I look for in the reviews I felt like I was sleeping on the FLOOR! The bed was so hard it felt like a box springThe room is a good size and the ac worked good

Breakfast was goodWe like staying at Springhill most of the time I like that they have full size Soaps on the shower wall Others we have stayed at had glass doors to the shows and I like that since u don’t have to worry about the curtain But at least this one had a clear liner and a shower curtain in the shower I hate when u go to a hotel and all it has is the 1 cloth curtain and the water just goes through on to the floor

Was in town for one night As a history professor with an interest in historic reuse, I always try to support businesses engaged in projects like City Mills Hotel The property is great

I really appreciated the way they kept the structural references to the building well-exposed, but softened it to make it suitable for a hotel The room was comfortable and well-appointed We could hear the sound of the river as we sleptIt was clear that the hotel had just opened, and there were a few rough spots in the overall process We had a little difficulty checking in, and the construction (on the second building of the two) started pretty early on Saturday morning, right outside our window But the staff was exceptional in their attention They bent over backwards to address the issues we found, and I am confident that once they get everything fully operational it will be an absolutely wonderful hotel Small in scale, local, felt less like an anonymous chain, and right on the river All in all, we will definitely make it our first choice when we are back in Columbus

This is a very pretty and architecturally designed space, as the others have mentioned The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome as soon as you find the door It’s to the side, not obvious in the dark

Quite clean and smells new The coffee machine is awesome and snacks are nice Beds are very comfortable, pillows too No complaints about any of that I gave it 3 stars though because I don’t believe I will come back and we visit the area often In fact, his grandfather helped build this mill With that in mind, this is a drafty, not well insulated building You could feel the wind blow through the windows and exterior walls The rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller and we could hear every child and dog all night long I had ear plugs in cause my hubby snores and I could hear them through ear plugs and over my husbands snoring We would have called the desk and should have but it was very dark in the room, the phones are black and not next to the bed I was afraid the look for the phone in the dark without tripping Also the bathroom light comes on automatically as soon as you walk by and in a pitch black room it’s like walking by headlights! Not very intuitive or welcome in the middle of the night A nightlight would be so much better After almost no sleep and a hotel full of very lively children and pets $25000 per night seemed a bit much Don’t know what breakfast looked like Cramped space full of kids and dogs, we left without eating Next time in Columbus, I’ll pick a quieter location at that price point

Jessica Freeman

Came to town for a Soccer tournament and the team and dogs all stayed at City Mills and had the best time It’s such a cute and unique hotel and the the outside patio, fire pit and access to the River walk was perfect The front desk staff was so accommodating and helpful putting up with dogs and 9 young girls running in and out of the hotel

They have a complementary breakfast which was great before a day on the soccer fields Can’t thank the staff enough

The best Marriott property I’ve stayed at in a long while Awesome staff across the board Best breakfast (close to like home cooked meal)

Great variety and ambiance to top it all off Love the M lounge Across the street from the convention center, River Walk trails and University district but still a peaceful setting Historical district is evident throughout and the hotel incorporates that history very naturally while keeping a very modern feel I already stated it but it’s worth repeating The staff across the board felt like family (the good kind) and were professional, caring, and accommodating Stayed an extra night because we appreciated the staff

Can Can

Beautiful building, wonderful suites, comfortable beds, although a little too soft for me, and accommodating staff Easy check-in Great breakfast!I did have a couple issues like no hot water but that was handled within 24 hrs

Also all my lights went out as I was getting ready for a banquet That was handled right away

This hotel staff have made my home away from home in Columbus I travel often for work and have ample experience with different hotels and the staff here have always been the best From Sebastian, Fiona, Shay, to the lounge staff Ms Joyce and Ms Kia, they have always gone above and beyond

They are very understanding and will always make your stay pleasant and comfortable The restaurant on site is actually a good restaurant and worth the breakfast and dinner Although the hotel is near the train tracks the staff is well aware and provide earplugs for those who are sensitive to the noise The noise never bothered me, so you may not even notice the train passing through I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Columbus, it is in a perfect location in downtown and across the street from the river 10/10 I tried to leave this review on the Marriott website but they would not send me the link

Everyone was so very friendly, from the managers, front desk, housekeepers, cook, bartenders, and even the guest we ran into The room was excellent!!! We called down for extra blankets, front desk was very helpful I have never stayed at a hotel that was professional in their work and made us feel A1 Special

You guys Rock!! You deserve more than a 5thank you for making our stay memorable and loved

Jdeo B

Great hotel for its star category The employees were very friendly and hospitable Everything was clean and neat in the room

It’s not a luxury hotel; but AC hotels aren’t expected to be Its a modern, minimalist, clean place ro rest The location is right in the middle of downtown Columbus I would definitely stay here again when in the area Loved the espresso bar in the lobby!

Kevin Rene

Great location, convenient to everything you could want on a short stay uptown AC has a very beautiful lounge and lobby!See bottom half for horrible room review Housekeeping service is certainly lacking

Way overpriced for the quality of room you get! $250/night (See pics)The bartender at the lounge named Bailey is phenomenal, she is the only reason we’re giving the hotel two stars instead of one, she deserves all five!!! There is plenty of lounge and bar seating, drinks are made to perfection, she’s a great mixologist and such a sweet girl! If your local or out of town stop by, the drinks won’t disappoint! They also serve snacks, a few entrees, and dessert in the evenings, no tvs in the bar area, just a “digital screen” They also have a small amount of outdoor seatingWe travel 365 days a year and have stayed at some really nice and really not so nice places I would rate the room itself in the bottom ten percent right in line with some lower end hotels that are fifty bucks a night! The quality and standard we are accustomed to at Marriott is not present here We stayed in room 525 which was supposed to be a room upgrade 😬, what a disappointment For a hotel that’s only been open a little over a year, 🤢At first glance there were dust and smears on windows and mirror surfaces, upon further inspection and over the course of three days/two nights we found the following;*hairs on walk in shower floor before we used it*wall paper is coming off and stained in various places*paint/glue on the floors and furnishings*vinyl flooring damaged/coming up*window and headboard have thick layer of dust*fridge had wet reused coasters in it*white substance on the bathroom wallpaper along with soils on the wall by the toilet with damaged wall paper*Dusty coffee table*Greasy smears on mirrored surfaces*Low quality linens from bath towels to beddingThere are a few other Marriott options that are close, although I don’t see us staying at another Ram managed property, as this is our second stay at one of their properties in town that has been less than pleasant!

I stayed at the Hyatt Columbus North Place for a business trip The hotel was clean and comfortable The location is great

It is close to several restaurants and stores, all within walking distance It was quiet and the room was nice and spacious I especially want to comment on Stephanie She was so professional, warm, and friendly She always greeted me with a smile and referred to me by name each time I consider that special, as she deals with so many customers every day She went out of her way to make me comfortable, which is so rare in these times She is a shining star in your company and should be commended for making the extra effort to make each guest feel special I will definitely return, if ever in the area Thank you Stephanie!

This was my first time visiting this hotel, This place is a definite hidden Gem I stayed here three nights, and from the first time I walked in the lady at the front desk name Stephanie was very attentive, she made sure your stay was comfortable and no matter if your coming in our out she’s going to speak and all the housekeeping ladies were very nice It’s in a great location and near most eateries

Thanks again, I definitely will be returningMarie

Beautiful location, convenient to riverwalk and local white water raftingFront desk agent that checked us in was extremely unfriendly and didn’t tell us anything about the hotel or amenitiesOutdoor patio with enough comfortable seating for large parties

Room was clean aside from a soil on sofa, nice open walk in showers, but be careful, the water splashes out as there is no door Soft linens and comfy beds, as always!Small dog barked and whined in the room next to us from dusk until 10/11pm Called front desk, whom seemed confused about the complaint We never received another call or follow up about the matter Dog continued barking two more hours! It was a miserable evening and waste of our points to stay here! There are plenty of other options with similar accommodations in the area!Evening staff should be better trained in hospitality!

Molly Loch

Front desk clerk that said he is the manager wasn’t friendly NOT Warmth Not very welcoming

He didn’t listen to what was the issue The issue was when the room was booked that was told that we can check out at 3pm with no problem With no extra charge He didn’t honor Plus a value customer that travels a lot Now is a gold member won’t be using that location BC of the situation that can be fix with customer satisfaction

Paula D

I stayed here with my husband and we absolutely loved it , staff was amazing, always smiling and in a good mood !It’s so refreshing when you feel 100% satisfiedThe food and coffee was great too! Service was outstanding!

Good location to the mall and restaurants Building seemed a little dated and carpets could use a remodel Beds were extremely firm and small – definitely doubles instead of queens

Loved the shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower with the tea tree shampoo Breakfast sandwiches were very tasty! Overall, clean rooms and great friendly staff!

Angie Secor

We were passing through on our way home from Florida It was getting late and we’re looking for a decent place to stay We have always had a good experience with the Marriott hotels so we tried here

However, we were unaware that there was a graduation the next day at nearby Ft Benning so hotel rooms were limited However, the staff here was real kind They gave us a room with a king and a pull-out for 3 people A problem arose when the air conditioning wasn’t working and the room was hot We contacted the front desk and Calvin came to our room to see what the problem was He couldn’t get it to work so he said he would move us to another room Not only did he do that but he upgraded us to a suite that had two actual beds in them And then on top of that he gave us free breakfast He definitely went above and beyond

Ebony McEachin

Where do I begin? First, our room wasn’t the cleanest Toilet & tub was stained and dirty and no microwave in the room We had to go to the lobby to warm any food we wanted to eat

Inconvenient but okay fine Secondly, when attempting to reach anyone at the front desk we had to call 2-3 times and even then it took almost an hour to reach someone or we had to physically go to the lobby My family & I stayed for 3 days and our room wasn’t cleaned or re-stocked even once And the cherry on top the trash sundae was being accused of smoking in our room when the whole floor smelled like it when we returned the night before check out Needless to say, I’ll never stay here again

We were in town for our son’s Basic Training graduation Usually staying at an HIE is great Unfortunately, not this one

We stayed 2 nights Our sink in our room was clogged up They did have someone try to clear it, but it still wasn’t draining well Shower curtain had holes in it Bathroom floor was dirty Not a single trash can in the Hotel was emptied from the start to the finish of our stay Trash was sitting in bags or overflowing on to the floor at all of them No maid service between days Normally beds would be made and room cleaned each Day No fresh towels unless you asked for them for the second nightBacon at breakfast was barely cookedsausage was cold Just really not up to standard

Aaron

Stayed here on two different occasions when passing through It’s quiet, easy access to get back on the road the next morning They have a fenced in “pet area” but it’s got quite a bit of junk laying around inside the fence, so much so that I didn’t feel comfortable letting my dogs off their leashes, it could be cleaned up a bit and it would be a great amenity

The hotel was very clean The staff was super helpful and sweet The rooms were spotless too

The complimentary coffee was hot all day They hVe free snacks throughout the day too We left some clothes by mistake in the closet and they were quick to find the items and mail them back to us Just cannot say enough about how great they were If I’m ever back in Columbus, I will definitely stay there

Toni Anderson

So if you go to Ft Benning so NOT stay at the Hampton Inn by the Infantry Museum The parking lot was supposedly monitored Our truck as well as 2 others were broken in to with windows smashed and items stolen

Between speaking with police and employees (all of whom were very nice) we were told that that the security system is old and the video unclear, and that vehicle break ins happen very often I think he said 8 times in the last monthWe chose it specifically because it was close to the Infantry Museum Lots of older vets stay there My stuff can be replaced but what about them and theirs? And to make it worse, all the hotel did was shrug and basically say sorry about your luck! Knowing that this was an on going problem apparently for quite a while why has management not addressed the issue?!Well, for $200+ a night I’d have expected luck to have been a little better Ironically enough, I’ve never had any issues with the $75 a night placesPlease warn the other vets and their families not to stay there!

Christina Guichard

We were visiting the area to go to my son’s “Turning Green ” Ceremony We had been on the road for 24 hours Tired & exhausted, we finally got here @ noon on the day of our reservation

Check-in wasn’t until 3pm, but Jameshia let us Check-in early so we could finally get some well needed rest She exemplifies customer service to a tee We are looking forward to returning in June for the “Turning Blue Ceremony ” & my son’s official Army graduation Keep up the outstanding work, Jameshia! We hope to see you on our return trip!!!😁

The entire staff at this property went above and beyond to Insure any issues with the room or anything was taken care of We were treated like family I would highly suggest staying at this central location

There is a IHOP and a Texas roadhouse and a family dollar within walking distance and a McDonald’s next door This property and the staff will go to great lengths to insure your stay is completely stress freeoh and the fruit bowl is definitely divine

Sandralyn Dannelley

Room was adequate, the air conditioner was LOUD and smelled moldy (Ended up having to turn it off) The sink had a very noisy leak that one couldn’t shut off It was clean and the beds were comfortable

Mostly the price I was quoted was $35 MORE than I was told at check in I asked specifically and I was told the check in person was incorrect and there was nothing anyone could do

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rothschild- Pound House We stayed in the Governor Forsyth suite which was quite unusual and special The jacuzzi was wonderful, we loved that kitty soap, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! We appreciated how responsive Mamie, the owner, was to our needs and how she worked with us to address any concerns that came up

She is currently in the process of remodeling the main house so you might be aware that there is not a full breakfast at this time However, she gave us the choice of a continental breakfast or a voucher to go buy breakfast on our own Thank you, Mamie, for sharing your lovely home with us We hope to come again

Josh East

We go married here and the experience was absolutely beyond what we ever expected The venue, the experience, the food, the staff and everything was amazing Mamie was so helpful and made sure that everything went off without a hitch

She made everything so easy for us and with a blended family of 6, we were able to have a perfect wedding without all the stress thanks to her

Peter Delia

Our experience was a mixed bag We arrived to the B&B a bit early, and we were told the room wasn’t quite ready, which was fine It still wasn’t ready almost 40 minutes after our check-in time, but we did finally get the key

The room itself was pleasant enough, but there were no trash cans and no pillowcases on the bed We were told we’d get the pillowcases, but I had to call at 8 PM otherwise we probably wouldn’t have had them The most frustrating part of our visit was the fact that we were told nothing about breakfast and we couldn’t get into the main house or reach our host to ask about it I called pretty consistently from about 8:30 AM through 10:30 AM and got voicemail each time The suite we stayed in was very comfortable, and our host did try to give us recommendations and make our stay more enjoyable, there was just a lack of communication that made the experience less enjoyable

Stayed 3 nights for an Army graduation at Ft Benning Convenient location to Benning, downtown Columbus, Riverwalk, restaurants, groceries, and shopping

Safe and clean area Rooms were nice, clean, and had all we needed The staff was exceptional, attentive to all of our asks, and very friendly Nice little workout room and pool Nice little patio with tables, comfy chairs, and fire pit Breakfast was meh…but free (beggars can’t be choosers) Waffle House is close Our only real complaint was that the latch to the door of our bathroom was broken, so the door wouldn’t stay closed (it’s a pocket door that rolls open) My parents bathroom door latch was also broken and I bumped into another guest in the elevator with the same problem Once they fix their latch problem, it’s a great place to stay!

Jacqueline Peebles

Great customer service! Although I was unable to have the contact less check in, the staff was able to allow me to change rooms They were so sweet! They are in the process of renovating and all rooms had new couches and ottomans The moving was seamless and we were notified about the furniture upon check-in as well as by letter, left in the spacious room

Speaking of roomsrefrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and dishes!

My family and I are frequent guests whereas this is our go to hotel whenever we come back to Columbus to visit family After all these visits I can honestly say we have only ever had one issue with this hotel years ago The rooms are always clean (if sometimes a little damp feeling in the summer) and the staff is consistently pleasant, with the cleaning staff doing a great job at maintaining the rooms

Emily

Signs state there are short staffing issues, so perhaps that was the issue We arrived to the room which was propped open unlocked already The bathroom had hair on the counter and slight weird red splatters on the wall and door jamb (rust or worse?) The couch had some small stains visible

The bed had typical scratchy sheets and lumps, very small pillows on the King size The front desk was friendly The room did get adequately cold to sleep Wifi worked TV worked Fridge seemed to work fine

Definitely not up to Hilton standards in the room itself Paint peeling everywhere, large cracks in flooring, etc Nice lobby, decent breakfast, staff SUPER nice and professional from front desk to housekeeping

NO BUGS! that’s the main thing I look for in reviews I cant stay if there’s been a Roach or bedbug and I always check my soon as soon as I’m in Lol Overall not bad for the price We stayed for the indoor pool and were told it’s not heated but man, it was ICE cold Too cold to swim in

Stay was great, rooms nice, great staff My only issue is we have been charged 3 times on our credit card for 1 night stay! First we were charged $18100, which was incorrect

My receipt email from hotel and my Expedia receipt are both $15300 I called the hotel today and was told the extra $2600 was for “incidentals”, in case we purchased anything I explained to her…we checked in at 9 pm, we slept, showered and ate the complimentary breakfast and left She advised me the extra charge would fall off in 3-5 days (I get it, I worked at a bank for 15 years) But no one mentioned the fee at check in I look again at my account and I’ve been charged TWICE for $18000 and once for the $15300 So, $51300 pending charges for $12500 room! Seriously!? I’m not happy!

Very nice, the rooms were spotless The in house dining was lovely A big shout out to Ashley (front desk) and Emily (restaurant manger) for their assistance

The hotel is conveniently located in uptown/downtown Columbus, one can easily walk to all locations in the area without driving I would strongly advise purchasing the valet package if staying for the weekend and giving the valet’s at least 30 min notice when checking out as checkouts on Sunday get pretty busy

I have visited Hotel Indigo previously for events at the rooftop bar, but I stayed there for one night on 5/20 The room was impeccably clean and had no signs of wear and tear–it felt more like a cute studio apartment than a hotel room The view of the river from our room was lovely

The rooftop bar is a great place to get a good drink and enjoy the river view Location is great and you can walk easily through Uptown ColumbusBut where Hotel Indigo really got me to write a review was for their customer service Everyone from the valet staff to front desk to housekeeping were truly excellent I left a white shirt in the room and only noticed it after we had already checked out I called the front desk the next day and they had found my shirt! I hardly ever misplace or forget items in hotel rooms, but these things happen to the best of us In previous experiences they have never found my lost item Not only did they find my shirt, but they had it boxed up and ready to send to me Desirae, if you are reading this, thank you for your attention to detail! I was expecting not to see that shirt again I will happily rebook at this location whenever I am in need of a staycation getaway Thank you!

I loved my stay I was very anxious to be alone in a different state and without knowing a soul but my spouse and I didn’t realize I’d arrive so early before my check out time I expressed this to Ms Asia and she was so overwhelmingly amazing sweet and helped me become comfortable and told me the next room available was mine

Someone who is manager for years knows how much wonderful customer service can change someones mood I entered stress and having a panic attack but as I checked in I felt like I was at home Thank you for everything

Not a 5* hotel but definitely 5* service and cleanliness The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and helpful I ran out of soap in the shower and went to the front desk to get more

The lady working said someone would deliver a replacement and I said I’d rather not have anyone in my room when I was gone and I’d pick it up later that day When I came back to the hotel, she recognized me and handed me a bottle without hesitationBreakfast was well stocked and hot This hotel is huge and crowded yet never felt that way Will def stay here again if I am back at Ft Benning

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights, during my stay my room was NEVER cleaned Trash never changed and I had to walk to get extra towels This is unacceptable

Upon arrival I was NOT treated like a valued “Diamond” member The check in staff was rude! I will never stay at this location ever again My room had ants and the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned When I complained they told me they were sold out The bar never had a variety of chasers or liquors and the kitchen waitress was rude Horrible establishment The fact that my room was NEVER cleaned but their room prices NEVER went down for my nights stay is unreal I would recommend the Marriott up the street They have daily cleaning and a better variety of food and drinks in their bar The staff has been trained on customer service Just an overall better experience I will be filing a formal complaint with this establishments corporate office and management team

Crista Clear

Overall it was a nice hotel Couple things though… there should be more than one set of towels in the room and the lamps should have bulbs- one of mine didn’t I also felt the lighting in the bathroom was rather dull

I couldn’t put makeup on in there It just wasn’t bright enough for that The shower water pressure was awesome The view was beautiful from my window which I enjoyed and the bedding was comfortable I slept well The staff were very polite and kind The decor was very pretty also I could stay there again if I needed to

S Yadav

Loved the experience here Beautiful patio with a view of a large lake, trees, and adorable ducks just swimming along The bartender is the sweetest person I’ve ever met

The grits at breakfast oh my goodness 🔥I’d come back in a heartbeat just to eat those grits again Flexibility on early check in Nice print shop on-site On-site restaurant, bar and breakfast and great location and service Can’t really beat that If you are in the Columbus area, stay here It’s worth the extra drive to your destination And if you are entertaining, restaurants are five minutes away

First off, our door was standing open when we got to the room, which I thought was odd When we got into the room, there were holes in the carpet, in the middle of the room, not in a discreetly hidden area against the wall

Moving on into the room, I spotted a roach on the curtain The bed, black hair on the top cover which made me wonder what I was actually sleeping on/in And I paid $170 for this?? The only positives I have about this place is the clerk that was there when we checked in, she was awesome and very friendly! Katina maybe? Very nice breakfast bar and the hotel was easy to find

Lisa G

The pool is closed and we weren’t told until after we paid I feel like we should have been given the option to change our reservation It’s summertime and we’re traveling with children

Of course we were planning on swimmingAnyway, this is our first night here So far, the room is pretty clean There is a good sized stain (or burn) on the carpet that was hidden by an ottoman The kitchenette could have been cleaner The hallway could use a vacuum The luggage carts desperately need some wd40

Pete Shea

Pretty horrible Staff was nice, but the rooms were very dirty, the place is in desperate need of an update, carpets in the halls are stained and dirty, and on top of that, it is a pet friendly hotel, which some will appreciate, but I have pet allergies and asthma, so I had to drug up to breathe without coughing and wheezing due to pets having been in our room recentlyWould not stay here again
