I never leave reviews but this place should be out of business I just wanted the hot tub, a long shower, and a bite at the bistro Hot tub out of order

Pool dirty and cold (seriously how are there two dead mosquitos in an indoor pool?) I got locked in the pool room and had to call the desk to get out (fire hazard anyone?!) Shower had no water pressure at all, no shower gel, and no shower door so the bathroom floor was flooded with water I unfold a bath towel and three long black curly hairs fall out I have short purple hair I called to order dinner from The Bistro, and the general manager says they haven’t opened it ever I tried to buy a snack for dinner at the all-night convenience store , but all they had on the shelves were 2 bottles of Pepsi and one bag of chips I walked to the 7-11 across the street and when I came back, the room (where I set the thermostat at 60) was an oven I have nothing good to say about this hotel

I am hotel employee from another chain (from out of the area)That being said I am very picky with the places I stay and knowing Marriot standards I hold everyone to a high standard While the parking light isn’t the safest it seems (where is safe in Portland?), I was very happy with the hotel itself

I as really impressed with the cleanliness of our room, how comfortable the bed was and the design of everything I always hated seeing the microwave and fridge in rooms, it was cool to see them hide it all! The cleanliness was a 10/10, the maintenance was 9/10 (Couple of snags on the walls no biggy, and I really enjoyed the layout of the shower! Smart to put the knob close to the door so you don’t have to get wet with cold water Oh, and the soaps were fantastic! Wife and I also visited the hot tub and pool area was exceptionally clean I really liked the upgraded tiles and trim VS the standard pool look It really made the area look sterile, clean and nice! Although the gigantic wholes cut into the ceiling were a bit of a turn off (Maintenance?) My least favorite thing from the visit was the Starbucks/bistro Not quite the same taste and not much offered Would definitely return and happy to see Marriott standards applied!

Being an avid traveler, I found it strange that there was no complementary bottled water in the room There was no breakfast for the entire hotel because 1 employee called in sick I found this unacceptable

The front desk lady came outside and aggressively yelled at me while I was throwing trash away at the front door trash can before taking my rental car back to the airport She stated that it appeared on security camera that I was digging in the trash She assumed I was a homeless person which I found VERY offensive I explained to her that I was a guest at the hotel She gave NO appology, rolled her eyes and Re entered the hotel without an apology She was thin, very short blonde hair and wore a paper mask I will not be giving any more of my money to your company

I picked this place for our girls trip to Portland since we wanted a fun place to stay It looked cute in the photos and all was well after booking I checked the website when we landed in Portland to see what time we could check in and it was not until 3pm so we decided to go explore since we couldn’t check in

I got a call later from the owner asking what time we would be there and this was at around 1pm I was confused but was told that she would leave a key in a spot for usWhen we arrived there was not a lot of street parking but after stalking a car we found a spot in front of the house The outside is really cute with a great porch Inside is kind of an adventure Great vintage pieces and good Victorian accentsI asked the owner of there was anyone else staying the night we were and she said all but one room was full! We decided to haul our luggage upstairs to our room and check it out The shared shower room upstairs was pretty dirty! There was dirt and ants in the shower and small black hairsWe got back from dinner at 8pm and literally the house was dark There was no one there We tried finding a glass for water and found that the kitchen was barricaded with something behind the door stopping us from going in thereWhen we woke up the next morning, still no one was there I just wish the owner would have called us and told us we were the only ones there for security and safety reasonsI would not stay here again

There is a lot to love about this place The beers, the winery, the decently prized food and it’s proximity to some beautiful waterfalls Nevertheless, there were somethings that rubbed me the wrong way

First, know that unless you specifically request it, the restrooms are shared While I can understand the appeal for some, I needed this to be more explicit prior to our booking We ended up getting a room with our own toilet and shower for an additional $50 a night (we stayed three nights) Second, the restaurants on sight offer mostly fried food I left that place full but feeling like I needed to do a detox for my arteries sake Just know what you are getting into before deciding to go with this place

Hannah

So much to do and so much fun! It was really nice walking around while waiting on our table to be ready You are able to stop at the different bars for drinks, there’s music, and just an overall great atmosphere The garden was beautiful to walk around and I cannot wait to go back to explore more

The food was delicious, drinks were tasty, and the service was great!

Robert Schindele

This is the only place I’ve been to where they could get 5 stars and be so outdatedThe atmosphere is amazing The facilities are unique

There are multiple bars all within a short walk of one another with their own drinksThe history and art are accessible and interesting I would highly recommend this place for a stay of a few nights

The best hostel!!!!! I stayed here for a week (in a private queen room) and couldn’t fault it at all Super modern, clean and awesome The rooftop bar was a huge plus, although not open every night so be aware of that

Great location to get to downtown on the bus or walk to some cool restaurants Staff were lovely Seriously can’t stop thinking about how cool the place was, wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels before and this genuinely was the nicest Don’t miss it!

Samantha Georgi

Great idea, has potential, lacking in executionI stayed in one of the 4 bed female dorms for 2 nights I was very excited about a new hostel in Portland

I’ve stayed in many a European hostel so am familiar with the structure and price bracket The facility is clean and modern and the attached cafe and rooftop bar are nice amenities Unfortunately I was too exhausted the first night to check out the rooftop bar, and on the second night it was mostly blocked off for a private event that appeared to also block the computer room area, which I was planning to use I wish that guests were priority in the use of space, especially considering that the price for 2 nights came to $103 total for a dorm room which is higher than most hostelsThe layout of the shared dorms is great in theory – enter into a common area with a small locker for luggage storage and 2 toilets/2 showers shared by 3 – 4 bed dorm rooms which are accessed through this room I would think the intention behind this is to keep non-sleeping activities out of the quiet spaces for sleeping However, the lockers are too small so luggage ends up in the room anyway The photos on the website failed to show single window dorm rooms, which have a more claustrophobic feel The bunks don’t seem to be bolted to the wall, which allows them to shake a fair bit when getting in or outThe most disappointing part of the layout is that despite what seems like careful planning of intentional quiet spaces, the doors are all THE loudest self closing doors in a space with no sound absorption so you constantly hear the slam of doors at any hour someone comes in or uses the bathroom I understand rugs would be hard to keep clean, but some kind of sound absorption paired with soft-close doors would be a huge upgrade to this spaceOverall, the hostel served it’s purpose of offering a reasonably affordable and clean place to stay in a great location And all the staff I encountered seem great

Peter Custer

Perfect place to launch a college reunion trip Lolo Pass was ideal for our group and we used a ton of the first-class accommodations We enjoyed the rooftop views, the coffee at the cafe and even participated in a local wine tasting event held in the lobby

The staff was friendly and helpful…Steering us to a great meal within close walking distanceRoom was clean and quiet Highly recommend

This hotel is impeccable Every single one of their staff members felt like they were invested in your stay being a great experience Stayed here so I could be close to the convention center in Portland

It’s the perfect location if you want a 2-3 minute walk there Right next door! My stay included 4 free breakfast meals which was so nice And this hotel’s breakfast is very good with tons of selection to choose from My favorite was their honeycomb I will definitely repeat a visit here next time I need to be close to the convention center

Great, Clean, Quiet hotel in the midst of a chaotic city I was upgraded to a corner suite as part of the globalist benefit (Thanks Shane!) and the hotel performed much beyond expectationsLocation: The hotel is situated far enough from the chaotic old town/downtown Portland to avoid the tent people and other interesting personalities, but still close enough to be a short drive away from everything, including shopping

I really enjoyed my time here and felt that the hotel was the perfect locationRoom: All the rooms seem to be outfitted with hard wood floors and had a great balance of art and functionality The view was awesome, and all the furnishing looked fresh and new I was really surprised by the quality given that this is a category 3 hotel (12k points a night) and would even say this is one of the nicest business-y hotels in the US The standard of quality that Hyatt guarantees across their brands once again impresses meService: Very friendly and professional staff, not much to say here, as I didn’t interact much with themBreakfast: Buffet style breakfast, good selection but not the best Had salmon, yogurt, fruits, muffins, baked pastries (Pain Au Chocolat was a bit under cooked, but croissants were good) as well as various other standard items (bacon, eggs, juice, coffee, pancakes, etc) I also got it free as part of globalist so nothing to complain about, but probably a good enough value for $27

Kristina Helwing

I’m quite happy with this modern hotel, the bathroom design is convenient for sharing; the toilet has a separate enclosure and the shower is separated by a nice, long sink counter It is clean and feels safe, all of the entrances from the side require a key-card for accessMy only minor complaint is that the auto sensor lighting is overly abundant and bright

If your partner wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom then you will be woken up first by the under-bed lighting, then the spillover light from the under sink and over toilet lighting At 2 am all of these lights feel akin to a searchlight from a police helicopter shining directly into your bedroom window—hence the posting of this review at 3:18 am after lying awake for over an hour My recommendation is to bring a sleep mask if you are sharing a room

The service can be very slow Not a place for anyone in a hurry It’s a very laid back kind vibe Don’t be surprised if you have to track down your server after 2 hr to pay your bill But if have a day with nothing planned and want an amazing environment definitely worth the trip

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a place This site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the best in this area

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itGreat spot to spend a few hours Fun to explore the building and various bars Loved the gift shop Drink menu was great The grounds were beautiful and the history of the building was interesting We didn’t eat there but was within walking distance of some cool restaurants

Albert Craig

My wife and I came to relax and enjoy our 1 year anniversary We arrived around 12:30 pm

and from the reviews we read ( the reviews said to expect a long wait for service) figured we would grab something to eat and by the time we were done it would be check in time at 3 We were seated, served and full by 1:30 Next we decided to take a stroll through the neighborhood as the weather was nice, it was peaceful and history to be seen if you take your time and look Ran across a nice little herbal medicinal shop ( for those 21 and up) a couple blocks up and scored some really nice smelling scented candles from the glass shop next door We made it back to the hotel around 2 stopped at the front desk to see if they did early check-in and was in the room by 2:15 The room was clean and comfortable and the movie theater well, it was a pleasant and very comfortable experience and a good movie Well let’s just say this was most definitely a good experience that I’m glad we have

Did not really require anything much for services but employees are friendly and attentive Check in Monday and out FridayWhat I LOVED about my stay is how quiet my room was

No light seeps into the room, did not hear anyone in hallways, to the left or right My room was on 3rd (top) floor I have never slept so well at any hotelConvenient to get around, close to freeway and quick drive back to airport 5 days 4 nightsWhat I wish they would do is remove all carpet Seems someone cooked in that room and you could tell there is a bit of residual smell when you open the door

Joe Ousley

Older property that has been updated The service was top notch The location provides easy acces to the airport and Hwy 205

The room was comfortable, though the doorway made a tight fit to get to the bathroom That detail was the only drawback in the room The full kitchen had a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, stove, and microwaveThe breakfast had good offerings I do wish the coffee set up were in a different location It is next to the Very Busy waffle maker This makes it difficult during busy times to simply refill a coffee cup A bigger selection of fresh fruit would have been nice as well The oatmeal was tasty and had a wide variety of toppings The staff was very attentive, and William went above and beyond to assist my 83 year old MotherI also recommend adding EV charging stations Overall a great stay

jennifer schmitt

Great place to stay Very accommodating Room was very clean

We had the two bedroom suite It was bigger than I expected Breakfast was great Good parking We had my whole family here with us and everyone had nothing but great things to say It was close enough to places to eat Right across the bridge is a Walmart Right up the road is the airport Good location! I’d definitely stay here again!

Cute, quirky and friendly hotel! If you need an animal friendly or day use hotel I would highly recommend Jupiter NEXT Our room was very stylish, clean and well maintained with a beautiful view of the city All the staff at the front desk, bar and room service were helpful and friendly! One of the better Courtyards I’ve stayed at The main lobby was very spacious and had many lounge sofas and the interior was decorated beautifully I was surprised this location didn’t have a pool which I was looking forward to use

The 24hr gym has decent amount of equipments and was well kept I was surprised there was even a bike trail behind the hotel which I made use of The trail cut thru the forest behind the hotel so it was a nice quiet place away from city noise

I am a traveling nurse I started with 4 other nurses I showed up, on a Sunday and was unable to lock in a price for nurses

Was told to speak to the manager J Paul, the next day He offered me $149 a night, or whatever price was on the website, for that day My stay for Sunday was $116, the next next it was $150 Aqua, the check in lady, said it would be lower than $113 for the rest of my stay Another, younger, better looking nurse got a rate of $113, for the same contract, that I am working We are 5 women, that wanted to stay together, but he was not about to help us, as we traveled to his town, to help out his communityThe was no breakfast, for $149, no muffin, no juice My shower didn’t drain My TV turned off, every few hours, to reboot I had a great view, in the back, of the homeless, living in the woods If you want a different view, get a room in the front Stains on the chair and bedspread Housekeeping entered my room, without knockingThey charge high prices, for motel 6 qualityThe other nurse, left the same day as myself We are now at a Hilton property, for much less, with nicer rooms and free breakfastI am letting all my fellow travel nurses know, avoid the Marriott They don’t like nurses

Katie Anderson

The service was kind, the place was clean, and it slept us all My only reason for 3 stars is that I had booked a king with a separate seating area, shown with a door dividing This is perfect for our family

They seemingly just put us in any room, asking if we had a floor preference, and we ended up in a standard king No privacy for the kiddo, and no reduction in charges

This is the most amazing guest house! We booked the suite on the 3rd floor, which had a double shower, claw foot tub, sitting area, king bed,and two balconies for less than the price of an inexpensive motel room All of this in a historic home with breakfast It was scrupulously clean as well

We’ll definitively return!

Katherine Gifford

We stayed 2 nights and it was a unique and comfortable guesthouse! We had our own patio and the claw foot bathtubs were my favorite! The guesthouse is located in a great part of town and there was parking which was a plus The stain glass windows throughout the lobby and the 2nd floor were beautiful I highly recommend staying here if you don’t mind not having a TV in your room

That was fine with us because there was so much to do around town Thanks Evermore Guesthouse! We won’t forgot it!

Holly VanDyk

Old world vibe and definitely haunted It’s full of friendly energies Amazing hospitality and comfortable surroundings

Will definitely be back every time we come to town 3rd floor hike up to the suite with luggage is not for the faint of heart but is worth the climb to the best en suite bathroom The accommodations are amazing But don’t come here expecting new world technology, there are no televisions in the rooms, which is best for hearing the house groan and whine in Portland wind

What a gem! This was the perfect place for a quick little getaway The staff were friendly and accommodating, our room was beautiful and comfortable, and we loved sipping our morning coffee in the atrium I’m not a fan of inflated “5-star” reviews but I truly can’t think of anything that would have made our stay nicer

Even the breakfast place they sent us to (Natalia’s) was awesome Definitely worth a visit!

I had what they referred to as a European style room

shared bathroom was across the hall And indeed I have encountered this a few times over the years while traveling Europe No problem the shared bath was huge with a great shower The room itself was very clean with all amenities and a small sink in the corner Staff was friendly and efficient It is a funky little boutique hotel perfectly located in what turned out to be a great little downtown area in Camas, Oregon

I could not recommend this hotel more! We stayed in the honeymoon suite for the week of our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was friendly and attentive, the room was so comfortable and charming, and everything about the hotel and town is just so cute, we can’t wait to come back! I loved going over to Natalia’s for our complimentary breakfast each morning too the portions are huge, the space is adorable and the coffee was delicious!

We had such a good time on our first stay, that we decided to book the same tiny Bamboo house, for a second timeSadly, it was in a bit of disrepair- missing light fixture, absent kitchen ware, etc As directed, I had requested sheets for the pull-out couch; no sheets were waiting for us on arrival

Maybe we will try a different house, next time

Almost a week after checkout my boyfriend and I keep saying how much we miss tiny digs! We stayed for a short weekend and had the best time in our tiny home There were some issues with my reservation but Leanne was so helpful in getting everything sorted Just be weary in winter times there is a shortage of hot water and only a space heater

This didn’t affect us much as we still greatly enjoyed our stay Can’t wait to come back during our next time in Portland

Tiff Freccero

My sister and I stopped here for a night on our roadtrip up north, and absolutely loved it! Clean, comfortable and very functional for a small space I loved the bathroom! We chose the tiny home that was dog friendly, and it was a great match A ton of restaurants in walking distance

We loved the german one right around the corner! I would highly recommend a stay here again

Hotel and it’s staff are very nice The only issue I had was that I booked the room within 6 hours of arrival and my room wasn’t very clean It seemed like someone was given a haircut there just before I arrived

There was long hair everywhere including the shower I asked the cleaning lady for a broom and she gave me a microfiber There was just too much hair to clean up with a rag It was a holiday weekend and I understand places are short staffed, but that wasn’t greatOverall, the space itself is well equipped A good value for a stay in Portland Good deal on parking and close to the light rail

This hotel is very beautiful The design is well-thought out and very trendy We also enjoyed the cafe downstairs (great lattes and delicious English muffins!)

The staff was very professional and friendly The location is well-connected by public transit BUT there is a homeless shelter directly across the street, so there are many people on the street at all hours We didn’t realize that until after we checked in We still felt perfectly safe, but it is something to be aware of

Michaela Davidson

Wonderful experience for a work trip! I would absolutely be backMy only sticking points were that the shower head really needed to come out farther, the water never really got hot (but it’s a historic building), and there were no in house breakfast options I believe their dining facility was closed the entirety of our stay

The staff was wonderful and so very friendly They made it such a joy to interact with themThe location was really sketch for a single female There were homeless people everywhere I walked and it was a little bit disconcerting when I would do my morning breakfast hunt If you’re traveling alone, you may want to try another part of town!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel They compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you for sure won’t be disappointedWe had an early flight into Portland and called the hotel when I landed (like they told me to when I called earlier in the week) and they put us in a room that was ready when we arrived at 10am! Super helpful staff Clean and definitely worth the cost

Wayne Beaumier

I’ve been to the Monarch a few times now for a yearly convention and I always enjoy myself The rooms and halls are still somewhat dated and older but that never bothers me The pool area has been built up and is great to relax at

Both the indoor and outdoor restaurant is delicious, while the underground themed area is fun and different The staff is always courteous, kind, and easy to get ahold of They do an excellent job of taking care of the convention goers before, during, and after the event Cannot wait to come back next year

Anne Pettus

I’ve stayed here in the past and had a great experience But that was 5 years ago This time was awful

We needed a place to stay while we were selling our house and had our open house The first night, the keys didn’t work to the first room they gave us, so they gave us another room This room was on the first floor and was very dirty The sink had grime all around it, the shower head was falling out, there was black hair in the tub and I’m pretty sure it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time House keeping only comes if you call and request and they do bare minimum, they didn’t even change our sheets even though I had requested that Oh and the whole first floor reeked of pot the whole time We booked three nights and only stayed two Avoid this hotel if staying in the area Go to the Marriott down the road It’s worth the extra money!!

Worth every buck! It’s chic, absolutely squeaky clean, so welcoming, modern and all-in-one package deal and I’m not just saying it cuz I’m a Hyatt fan- it really is splendid I wish Hyatt hotels spread all over the US cuz after living here, whenever I am on a road trip, I make sure that the first hotel I look for in the area is Hyatt It makes you feel right at home no matter how tiring the driving was

Jane K

Whenever we travel thru Portland, staying at hotels with amenities near the airport is very convenient This Hyatt Place is no exception Staff are really nice and friendly

Breakfast has a good selection of food But whatever you do please say no to “Room 224” when the nice front desk staff hands you the room key The room itself is nice and big However, it is right above the back sliding door entrance So whenever the door slams close underneath you, it feels like an express earthquake Imagine you just got into deep sleep and “bam”! You are aware again This room is also right next to the elevator so you can hear the occasional chatters or service carts go any Room 224 is facing the back side parking lot (2nd)However, the glass roof from the outside covers up the view of the parking lot So if you are trying to monitor your car parked back you won’t be able to see anything 😂Other than that everything else was pleasant

Nic Gibson

It is in a nice location for good restaurants and any shopping you may want to do The beds are really hard If you like a hard bed you will sleep like a baby

Lol The girls at the check in desk were very nice and always helpful They do have an airport shuttle that goes to the airport every 30 mins all 24 hrs You schedule it when you arrive and you are all set They have free breakfast for all the guests It is close to the Maxx train transportation You can ride it pretty cheap and get on and off at Cascade Station It’s a very short walk to the hotel
