What a welcoming hotel!! Mints on my pillow a welcome snack bag and when I checked in I inquired at the front desk about when the bar would be closing because it’s been a long day and I needed a glass of wine The wonderful young lady at the front desk ordered my wine and had it sent up to my room so I didn’t have to come back down You have a customer for life!!!

Great staff! They were super friendly and accommodating! Rooms were spacious and clean Breakfast was included The same selections were offered all 6 days we were there, but there was plenty of variety with both hot and cold options

The dining area was restocked appropriately and kept very clean There was also a Starbucks on site with other paid options available

One of my worst hotel experiences ever My room was dirty to the point my socks stuck to the floor No bath towels light fixtures broken, scalding hot water unbearable to shower

Arrived very late purchased food asked for a receipt I paid cash The young girl told me she couldn’t print out a receipt, I went back down! Next morning still could not get a receipt, asked about the scalding hot water, I took ownership of them not having hot water They did offer to move me rooms but I didn’t have the energy to clean another room I did not want a refund I did not want anything free All I wanted was a receipt for the food I paid for Manager told me I would have it under my door by 6 PM Still was not there was told I would have an email by 8:30 PM still did not get my receipt Keep in mind everything wrong with my room I wanted zero compensation I finally called corporate supposedly I’ll have the receipt tomorrow It shouldn’t take 36 hours and ask 20 times for a receipt Especially when I cleaned the room unable to shower, flickering lights, I had to go down and get towels I understand things happen All I wanted was a receipt!!!! If they were unable to get me the receipt the least they could’ve done was call me It’s sad because I didn’t want anything for my inconvenience I just wanted a receipt for what I paid for!!

Our room had no working outlets to plug into The toilet leaked on the floor which was duper sticky from other leaks The glass shower door made a huge loud sound when trying to close or open it

When talked to the asst manager about the issues no remorse was given and no refund was given even when we left the motel the night of check in at 11:30 pm Horrible stay Will not be back Wanted to alert you,

Dalisa Morriss

I stay here a lot and I am shocked to see the hotel allowing what’s happening here right now People having a BBQ well a party in the parking lot Taking all the parking spots and kids running around the parking lot

Nobody is doing anything to stop it either The noise is so loud and they getting drunk and cooking in the grill like they are in a park I’m at a loss for words Never again cause the screaming I can hear it all the way in my room

Paul Kavuma

Oh where can I start Good location, customer service good, good breakfast The building is the worst we have ever stayed

Nonstop water leaking which was causing the mold smell in the room we stayed We moved 3 times in the nightoOne of the room were staying had a leak We were sitting in the room chilling and suddenly we heard the water gushing out under the bathroom sink, and to make matters worse, the water was hot, thank God the house keepers were still on the same floor cleaning some rooms We called them loudly and they came, one of the lady house keeper got on her knees under the sink and shut the water off They helped us to move to another room This room we moved into was smelling like mold mildew all night Our second room my kids were watching TV, then started to hear water dripping on the floor in the bathroom They called me, I went in, put the trash can in the area, and it continued dripping We called front office They moved the kids to another room And that one was ok until morning we were about to check out the kids told us tha the bathroom When they flashed the toilet the water was brown When we asked the front desk as we checked out they were saying that the city was running some repairs Please be careful in this hotel Not good It’s need immediate attention to the plumbing issue

I LOVED everything

Emily was just superbit was the first time that my husband and I stayed in a bed and breakfast, so we were really nervous After some research, we decided to give it a shot best decision EVER I did a little surprise for my husband’s birthday and we went to the Blue Spring Park, after the park we went to The Ann Stevens House Even arriving before 3pm Emily was able to accommodate us She was an angel showing all the areas in the house, she took the time to walk us through everything in the room and also she gave tons of tips about thing to do and eat in the area The room was super clean, the view was amazing, and the staff was so polite and helpful I will definitely recommend, and will definitely stay here at another opportunity Thanks Emily for the hospitality

Found this B & B to be a perfect place to stayThe host greeted us and shared with us and other guests that just arrived the history of this home Very interesting

Very accommodating and relaxing A park and easy guided trails next to property Wonderful experience and will return!

Janice Zengotita

I can’t say enough about our experience in this space The hostess was extremely accommodating when we made a mistake in our reservation She made our family feel at home, gave us a wonderful tour and history lesson about the house and property, and pointed us in the direction of places we could explore

The room was gorgeous, clean, and spacious The property, peaceful Casadega itself is a special place We took our hostess’s advice and explored the wooded park next to the house Then we talked through the community, visited the history museum and metaphysical store, then the book store/educational center We walked the fairy trail and sat at the pond before dusk We had dinner at Sinatra’s and were fortunate to take in some live music Then a short walk back to the house Everything is within walking distanceWe lost someone we loved this year, and little moments throughout our short stay helped us feel connected We will be back to visit, and we highly recommend a stay at the Ann Stevens House

Place was comfortable, private, & dog-friendly Like staying in a friend’s home I didn’t have the breakfast for a few extra dollars, but spoke to others staying there & they said it was fantastic

They’d also stayed before Shows place is good when folks return For what is provided prices are excellent This definitely a place I would stay again Wish I could have stayed longer

Cesar Diaz

The place is super nice and located at just 2 miles from Blue Springs, The owner/keeper is very precise and polite The Room I stayed with my family is the Nature Cottage It is well appointed and clean

One very important detail that the owners seem to be aware is the high humidity and they placed a dehumidifier in the Cottage, however if you have allergies take measures to not feel discomfort I have to say that My family loved the place and we enjoyed it very much

Sherry Schwager

Our second stay at Alling House We enjoy the individual cottages rather than the beautiful Victorian home

the cottages have their own “personalities” We were in the Railroad Cottage Cute Quirky And a wonderful front porchcomplete with rockers for relaxing The grounds are well kept Fountains, fire pits, intimate seating options, hammocksa great place to relax with a glass of wine If you bring your bikes, you are well within riding distance to Blue Springs State Parka fun place to see manatees in the cooler monthsWe enjoy spending time at Alling House

God’s Love

I needed a little get away and I haven’t been to DeLand Fl for several years I looked at the hotels in the area and went with this Courtyard by Marriott I asked for a high floor and was given room 402 with a balcony

I like having a balcony and it cost me about $2000 more for two nights I was able to feel the heat of Florida and was able to see birds flying by from Hawks, Vultures, Ibis and even Sandhill Cranes from my bed The two problems with this balcony view was the many Fools riding motorcycles with LOUD music and bad mufflers They were not the only ones making noise People in pickups and some muscle cars also made A lot of street noise And the many people that smoked from the balconies I can’t stand smoke and Marriott really doesn’t want you to smoke on the balconies but some people will never care Highway 17 is a busy road that runs right in front of the Courtyard by Marriott in DeLand Fl The room I was in had a good A/C that after awhile would cycle and turn itself off A 48 inch TV with Sat TV which I would lose connection about three times over the weekend The TV had many channels The room in general was nice But there was a large stain on the carpet near the footstool The bathroom was big one one person or two The shower stall was a nice size but I at 6 foot one didn’t like the safety bar where it was for when I shampooed my hair I bumped my elbows on the top of it I used the shampoo the hotel gave you in a 1oz bottle and it did the job well I wonder how the other rooms in this hotel handled the outside noise from the LOUD vehicles that felt it was their right to tick-off others On Saturday I asked a front desk woman about a couple of restaurants and she loved one but not so much the other I went to the seafood restaurant she said was very good and enjoyed two lunches there over the weekend I don’t know what Marriott could do to lessen the noise of the fools outside But if you’re a light sleeper don’t get a balcony room face the parking lot or the side street

Carolee DeRollo-Whalen

I have been a Marriott Rewards member for years Always had great service Never have written a review

We came down to DeLand for a college visit This hotel has gone above and beyond! From looking for non down pillows to kindly switching rooms when a larger one became available Then when we switched rooms; we needed foam pillows again The poor guy at desk searched high and low and found us 3 ( it is 11 pm!) I cannot say enough Rooms are clean Pool area small But clean College 2 min walking distance away!!

Ryan Wagner

Stayed for 1 night and overall good experience No housekeeping was offered I didn’t ask why but undoubtedly they’d use the COVID excuse

Hotel bar wasn’t open at night which was disappointing No type of continental breakfast offered Only a block from downtown so plenty of eating and drinking establishments close by Nice hotel, just has some downfalls

Beautiful, hip, historic hotel in downtown Deland Walkable to fun shops, galleries, restaurants King suite bed was super comfortable and the large claw-foot tub was perfect for a steamy bubble bath for two

Hemingway’s 442 hotel bar served creative cocktails with a speakeasy feel inside and delightful electric fire pit tables outside on patio I wish we had more time to explore Elizabeth’s eclectic vintage clothing shop located in lobby Thank you, sweet Roger for being so helpful checking us in and making me feel extra special for my birthday!

Joe Jones

We stayed about two weeks ago The room was comfortable and clean Some reviewers mentioned hot water issues, but we didn’t experience any

We also had no noise issues from the bar/restaurant on the first floor My only critique would be the room was very plain; some art would have been nice We would definitely stay again in the future

Sarah Mazzie

This is a neat little place There is a hotel, a bar, and a restaurant I have only visited the bar so far and both times were impressive

The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable This isn’t a place to go order a jack and coke And if that’s usually your thing, branch out and try something new The drinks are very well madeIt is handicap accessible however the inside bar is a bit narrow I personally think sitting at the bar talking with the bartender is part of the experience However, I’d that doesn’t work for you there is a spacious outside area that’s very clean and has a very relaxing vibe

Really nice almost new hotel Beautiful decor throughout The bed was very comfortable and the room had all the amenities

Numerous plug in and USB charging ports everywhere The staff at check in/out were extremely nice and had great smiles The breakfast was normal with self made waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, oatmeal etc My only complaint, minor, was consistent throughout the hotel industry They have packets of condiments such as jelly, hot sauce, peanut butter etc but never carry mustard for sausage or mayonnaise for different sandwiches such as egg & bacon/ham For a few cents they can make certain people happy and create new breakfast combos out of existing food on the buffet No points deducted as this is trivial

I love the porch! I love the cats! I love the energy! They are charging way too much now $275 for 2 nights with a SCREAMING portable AC unit that gave both of us headaches and uneven sleep I love the no TV but a small fridge would be great! It’s bare minimum

Cleaning crew are great but running the vacuum through the hall at 9am was just bad Always great interactions with staff1st stay, LOVED it2nd stay, crooked bed and an RV style shower/toilet3rd and last stay, the AC unit and stiff springy bed made it really uncomfortable

Lucy Morningstar

Paid $210 per night for two nights since the only room available was the “king suite,” not that that was a problem; however when we got into our room we found five cockroaches, (four of them dead) The hot water does not work, the floor boards were loose and kept popping up, the food in the restaurant in the main lobby was horrendous, tasted like a teenager cooked hamburger helper (it was a $33 dish of what was supposed to be Lobster Ravioli) I was so hyped To go to the town because many people I know had rave reviews about it, but it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had

I had a reading with MIA Amazing I keep bringing all of my friends to her

Shadow work and being present to experience life 10/10 Are you in auto pilot or can you actually tell of your experiences Are you open to the universe or are you closed off with blockages? MIA is like a warm hug from a friend that pushes you to be your best self The truth isn’t always cute, rainbows, and sunshines but that does not mean it won’t enrich your life If you can’t take the heat then get out of the kitchen Thank you so much MIA My life and the lives of everyone that has a privilege to meet and speak with you is enhanced ten fold Till next time! ❤️

Very well kept property! Most of the Staff is very nice! I had a major issue which was resolved, but no compensation for inconvenience was offered, which I thought should have been offered In the morning if you come down at 8:50a for breakfast (which does end at 9a) and the pancake machine is out of batter the lady that worked the area would not refill the machine They had a decent breakfast and we loved the pancake machine, 2 perfect pancakes in 1 minute was really cool! They have scrambled eggs and sausage also if you eat that

It’s nice to see a decent hotel breakfast again With COVID many hotels had stopped offering serve yourself real good food breakfast We travel a lot, so this was a nice change for us

Aidan R.

For the most part, experience was great at this hotel Most staff were very nice and welcoming Also, the hotel is well kept and modern

Beds are very comfortable and internet is reasonably fast (got around 40Mbps and even faster on wired) The rooms are nice and beds comfortable Stayed here around 4 times But Keith at the front desk soured my experience with this hotel When I was checking in at an earlier stay, the main name on my reservation was my husband and I was clearly listed as an additional guest But Keith was extremely rude about it and gave me a very hard time Instead of making me feel like he was trying to help me, he raised his voice at me and acted like I was an annoyance I understand that there are certain safety/security procedures that have to apply, but front desk people should be nice and welcoming nevertheless When the manager came over, he was confused as to why Keith was giving me such a hard time over it Since, at later stays I’ve seen Keith be rude to other customers Instead of making customers feel welcomed to the hotel and trying to help, he speaks in an unwelcome way to other customers when he is at the front desk and makes it sound like he doesn’t want to help Other than that, the hotel was a good experience Every other front desk person was very nice But him being so unwelcome and rude to me and other customers has soured my experienceEdit: upped to 4 because owner said they would fix issues

I hosted my rehearsal dinner and a meet and greet event for out-of-town wedding guests on the Garden Patio at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lake Mary I am so thankful for Michelle’s help in coordinating the event, she created a floor plan for the evening and helped me pick the food and beverage packages to suit our needs We ordered the Italian buffet for dinner and the food was phenomenal! The chicken parmesan and tortellini were especially delicious as were the chocolate cake and cheesecake! We used Hilton Garden Inn Lake Mary for one of our room blocks as well

They were able to reserve a courtesy block of rooms for our wedding guests until a month before the wedding They were flexible with guests who needed to check in earlier than our room block or extend their stay past the room block dates (we didn’t have as much flexibility at the other hotel where we had a room block) Another perk was the free shuttle for guests from the hotel to the Lake Mary Events Center where we held our wedding We appreciated this service, although the shuttle was running a little behind Just make sure to schedule shuttle service for a little earlier to account for traffic etc and it should be fine We also stayed at this hotel after our wedding Our king room was spacious and the hotel treated us to chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in our room on the wedding night!

We had a great stay, great pool with plenty of seating and loved they hard board games for the kids to play My only negatives were some of the staff was not friendly at times with a bit of attitude when asked questions and the only other thing was the breakfast set up I felt that there should javelin been more food but also just get the order right

One time I can understand but 2 days in a row it is a training problem Still recommend staying when at a PG event, only 17 min from field with no tolls

Colin Bosler

Stayed here one night after my flight from SFB was canceled The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was great! Laundry facilities were solid, breakfast was tasty and the pool seemed nice (didn’t have time to try it but others seemed to be enjoying themselves) Shower pressure and temperature were on point as well

I would definitely stay here again

The rooms are modern, clean and quiet The GM was great, very friendly One detail I wanted to point out as well is that the staff in charge of removing trash bags as well as towels from the hallways always did so at lightning speed! They really kept the hotel and parking lot looking spotless I travel a ton and always stay at Hilton properties but this hotel was superior I think I may switch over to the Marriott brand

Extremely clean building, landscape/pool and rooms!!The hospitality in this hotel has been nothing short of “service excellence” After months of traveling from hotel to hotel trying to find the “right fit” for our needs

(while in process of finding an apartment), we have finally found it 😀 !The staff members are very professionalism, respectful and beyond helpful A special thanks to front desk staff Kathryn Gankos Extremely informative, pleasant and made me personally feel welcomed A great refreshing reminder that there are still employees that treat their guests not only as guests but humans as wellIt is extremely difficult to find such a hotel as this with the demands my Lupus comes along with Thank you to this particular Marriott Residence Inn at Lake Mary FL and also to the Marriott Corporation as well!

Decent hotel, but it is showing its age The wall paper in the hallways, even by the elevators on the first floor is coming off My run was fine, but again, it is showing age

The shower surround was crackedIt was a comfortable and decent stay, but the details of maintenance are lackingI unfortunately did not get to try the continental breakfast since we had a fire alarm, but that’s not the hotel’s faultOverall a comfortable stay that was having on maintenance

I am beyond irate! You get zero privacy at this hotel I was just down in the lobby at 10:20 Am and purchased Emergency Vitamin C and Aspirin as I’m not feeling well at all, and also have high blood pressure I also elected to stay an additional night this morning

The checkout here is 12pm, but at 10:30 AM the housekeeping lady knocked twice and within 3 seconds walked in as I was exasperating and yelling, ” I’m in here!” I called down to the front desk and she said she would take care if it I explained to her I could’ve been undressed or engaged in an intimate situation, totally unacceptable Then, believe it or not, at 12:09, even worse, 2 housekeepers open my door without knocking or acknowledging their presence I have lost it at this point, called down to front desk, yelling She comes up and the housekeeper tried to say they didn’t do that Unbelievable! And, now I’ve gone from feeling bad to horrible, my blood pressure is out the roof, I will not be comfortable the rest of my stay The first thing I would have done to remotely help curb the situation would be to offer a discounted rate, and at this point the whole night should’ve been comped I’ve never been so unimpressed They are very lucky, had I been unclothed either of those times, there could have been a potential civil case other hands Stay somewhere else!

I have to say the staff here is awesome!!!! One in particular stood out from all the rest, Imran was very helpful and welcoming, I have never made a reservation and had a staff member go above and beyond to accommodate like this my daughter was traveling with her coach and I was so concerned about room placement he kept me updated about the reservation and most important my daughter said when she got there he greeted her by name , that made her feel comfortable due to it was her first time traveling without me she said it felt like homeThank you so much!!!❤ memorable moments ✨️

This is officially the last Courtyard I’ll stay at I’m not sure what this brand is trying to do, but they offer very little amenities ( I couldn’t get hot water or tea bags half the days of the week I stayed here), no housekeeping the entire week, their restaurant wasn’t open This is not the only Courtyard I’ve left wondering why I didn’t stay somewhere else

The room was clean and dark, so it wasn’t all bad
