Took a short trip to celebrate our Anniversary and really enjoyed our stay here! Anna, the front desk manager, was so kind and helpful Loved our patio room since our little dog was a guest, as well! 🙂 The beautiful outdoor pool area was fabulous! And because the weather was a little cool for part of our stay, loved that they have an indoor pool, as well We would definitely stay here again!

Other parts of the hotel are renovated, but apparently our room was not The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, despite signs of glue smeared on top of all the seams The shower head / handheld selector was broken, but maintenance was able to do a temporary fix

We did not have enough towels I was also surprised that there were literally 4 sheets of kleenex left in the tissue box The room and the walls looked old The carpet and upholstered chairs appeared not clean The chairs had some stains The mattress was moving as if it was on a boxspring made of jelloThe pool and hot tub were enjoyable There were only 3 clean towels available in the pool area as well You can see into the workout room from the pool area I saw that the water cooler in there needing to be replaced, tooCheck-in for the guest ahead of me took a while My check-in was not that fast I could have checked in via the app, but the app showed no rooms available for selecting Maybe this hotel only operates during the busy summer season That would explain all of this Thankfully the breakfast did not disappoint

I mean, it’s a pretty normal comfort inn Friendly staffOur room had damp carpets for some reason and smelled like what we could best describe as “wheat”

The outlet by the bed didn’t work The extraction fan in the bathroom didn’t work eitherEverything was clean, just needs some issues fixedAnd the pool was a very nice temperature, but it seems the ventilation was on the fritz because it was so humid in there !!!!

Jennifer Rayna

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at The pool had a lot of chlorine but that’s to be expected The free breakfast was the BEST free breakfast of any hotel I’ve been too! They had omelets with toppings, waffles

large and mini size, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, 4 different cereals, toast, 3 different kinds of juice, milk, bagels and cream cheese, mini muffins, fresh fruit, Danish and cinnamon rolls individually packaged and I’m sure I’m forgetting something! Something for everyone! Our 2 queen bed suite had a couch with a pull out bed as well and we only paid like $130 a night We will definitely be back!

Great location to see all Lake Geneva has to offer We had two adjoining rooms, and it was perfect for our family of five We spent every afternoon at the indoor pool

The staff is very friendly and helpful The trolley drivers were very kind to my kids

Kerry Krivoshein

Layout of room was strange

bedroom in front and kitchen and nook in back The roads that wind their way through this vast complex are not labeled well at all, which made it hard to find your way around Even a major road that goes in and out of the complex didn’t have a street sign Registration and visitor areas was great The employees were courteous and helpful

Donald Self

We booked through our Hilton Grand Vacations exchange and felt the property was top notch! We were blessed with a full kitchen with lovely modern appliances, washer and dryer, full bath and walk in shower as well as a wonderful garden tub that fits two Double sink in makeup area as well as in a seperate bathroom Very comfortable king bed and lovely updated furniture

Immaculate! Lovely modern furniture We had a beautiful balcony on the golfcourse with a sliding door off of our bedroom as well as a door to the patio off the livingroom A fireplace as wellThis was one of the older buildings but was wonderfully renovatedThe consLandscaping infront of building very overgrown with tall weeds and the elevater and concrete outside in the walkways very dirty and needed cleaning Walls were thin with the connecting room conversation easily heard, thank goodness they were not in their room muchEven with the couple cons i would not hesitate to stay again Highly recommend this place and cant wait to go back!!

I’ve visited Geneva National 5 times in the last 3 years and I must say it keeps getting better & better each time In June 2022, they opened the “Dance Floor”, a putting course which you can even play at night with friends & family There are 3 great courses that present different challenges to golfers of all abilities

The maintenance crew keeps the course in great shape, and the greens are immaculate My favorite is the Palmer course, which finishes with a memorable 3-hole stretch along Lake Como Once your round is over, head to the Turf Smokehouse and grab a beer & and a bite to eat while sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you need during your stay I can’t wait to go back again soon!

Fred Gade

This was an amazing golf experience I played the Trevino course Staff was helpful and friendly

Clubhouse and practice area excellent The golf course was incredible Turf Smokehouse after the round was a great spot to contemplate my near ace on 17 and enjoy some cheese curds and a cold Spotted Cow My new favorite place to play Highly recommend

Michael Strasser

This is 3rd year coming to Geneva National We have a large group (20 golfers) Each year it has been a better experience

From accommodations perspective, 12 people stay in the Inn while the other 8 in the villas Top notch The Inn has tons of space Rooms are large Beds are comfortable Villas are very new Great bathrooms in terms of space and showers From golf perspective, once all the details are given to club the staff makes everything easy Very organized Plus pro shop staff is great Literally just have to show up and all the little details are taken care of The little issues in the past have been improved on and are now positives For example, there really wasn’t a quick lunch solution if you didn’t want to be waited on by a server This year they have an outside station w hot dog and brats Perfect I could on but it is an A + resort I haven’t even commented on the courses as they have always been challenging but fair Above average condition

My husband and I stayed at The Baker House for our honeymoon July 10-14 We spent 4 nights and 5 days in the Versailles Suite When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and accommodating hostess

Our bags were carried upstairs for us and when we opened the door, the room was beautifully prepared with dimmed lights, rose petals on the floor and bed, champagne on ice, chocolate covered strawberries, and red roses in a vase on the nightstand The Suite is perfectly decorated to fit the Gilded Age theme (as is the entire Baker House) to really give off that Lake Geneva feeling we were looking for Beautiful and elegant chandeliers, silver cast iron trays and dishes, along with the drapery, wallpaper, and intricate carved fireplace mantle Personal amenities included comfortable plush robes, a large king size bed, and a one of kind shower with two heads and six side jets Each morning we were served breakfast in bed Our breakfast included hot coffee, warm croissants, and fresh fruit daily Outside of the Baker house is a beautiful garden with cabanas and gas fire tables for use by the guests Our view of the lake provided easy access to the beach, shops, and eateries With our VIP parking, we never had to worry about getting a close spot! We would recommend The Baker House 10 out of 10 times to anyone wanting a romantic get away With so many more beautiful rooms, we’re excited to come back in the future for another stay!

Linda H.

My daughter surprised me for my birthday with brunch at the Baker House We got there a half hour before our reservation and were given the option to be seated right away We started off with the bottomless mimosas, which were merely okay, so we each only had one

I ate small portions of the following: eggs with vegetables (delicious), egg benedict with mushrooms, spinach and tomato, french toast, yogurt with fruit and granola, side salad, prime rib, chicken fettuccine, and finished my meal with coffee and cheesecake To my delight, we were allowed to tour the first floor, though I wish we could’ve seen the upstairs and basement as well Price was $35 per plate but it is higher priced if you go on a holiday

Anton Grahame

We stayed for three nights for our anniversary The staff was all incredibly helpful and friendly, and the room was incredible! We also ate dinner in the restaurant on our last night, and it was the best steak I have ever had The drinks were also wonderful, and our waiter was absolutely phenomenal with recommendations, conversation, and service

A.

I had a pretty nice stay here Nothing bad enough to remove stars over I must’ve gotten one of the updated rooms since everything was clean and in working order

A negative was there was a strong scent of trash in the room which was unpleasant I could not figure out what caused it The staff were friendly and thorough with the check in process etc The bed was comfortable There were plenty of towels The kitchen was clean and the refrigerator kept things cold The jacuzzi tub worked and the water temperature was fine The fireplace worked well There was quite a bit of noise in the hallway but after midnight it calmed down It’s spring break so that may be why Great location I Definitely enjoyed my stay and I would stay again

Levette88

There are many pros and many cons to this property I’ll start with the pros The room we booked was very spacious and I loved the full kitchen

The pool area was nice and my niece had fun in the small game room Our room was decently cleaned, the bed sheets and pillow cases looked and smelled fresh and clean and most staff we delt with was friendly The cons I say our room was decently clean because we had carpet in our room that had a lot of stains on it We got an older outdated room and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub but the paint around the rim was chipped and had a black substance around the rim The only air conditioner in the room was located in the living room which made cooling the bed room sleeping area a little difficult, I had to bring a fan from my vehicle just to cool off The walls and door are pretty thin so you can hear almost everything Thankfully guest were not very loud during our stay All in all I would stay again, but would try and request a more updated room

Devin Bohbrink

The staff was super friendly and professional The room we had was completely updated, super clean, with soft comfortable beds We were planning to use the jetted tub, and the water DOES NOT get hot enough

We tried filling it twice, all the faucets were hot except the tub/shower I’m guessing this is a safety feature so people don’t burn themselves, but it makes the tub completely useless We even tried to boil a few pots of water but nothing worked so we had to scrap the idea Otherwise, the place is nice for a quick little getaway We enjoyed having basically a full apartment This is a place for families so noise is to be expected and it didn’t bother us at all If you want a SILENT evening, don’t stay here and don’t complain to the staff because they can’t control people’s kids and again it’s meant for families

What a delightful resort!! The condo room my sister, niece and I shared for the weekend was homey and very comfortable The bed was so comfortable and had soft, warm bedding We enjoyed the pool and hot tub

It was very conveniently located There are some great restaurants close by and it is maybe 15 min from Lake GenevaIt was so pleasant to have a private patio to ourselves! The only complaints we could find were that the parking lot is rather small so it is very hard to find a parking spot, even though we had a handicapped placard Also, my sister was unimpressed by the coffee available for the roomsBut the staff were great! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful The facilities are great and we will definitely be back!!

Amanda Ryman

We had a magical time at the resort! Our condo was adorably decorated, the staff was so friendly, the location was good, and the lake was beautiful The pools (both indoor and outdoor) were perfect for our family I highly recommend this resort

The value was great and it was so nice to have a kitchen and living room to spread out while we were visiting our favorite lake area

Michael Stephanidis

We had a very nice stay here Rooms were good size with a full fridge and griddle Plates and silverware were lacking

We had room on the far side from the lake, but balcony was nice Great view from the outdoor pool There is Cornhole outside near the water also Indoor pool and spa are nice to have for a rainy day Arcade needs to be updated

My friend and I stayed last weekend for a birthday girls weekend and the location was perfect! It was within walking distance to everything We had a balcony that overlooked the creek and the lake and it was so nice The rooms were perfect with an in-suite kitchen and separate room for the bed

The staff was very nice We also loved the 24 hr coffee bar in the lobby and the soup! They have attention to detail that makes your stay special! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Andrew Pierson

TLDR: Take the owners advice, make a reservation with big business and don’t support small businesses (or at least this one)After reading some other reviews I’m glad to find out I’m not the only person who had to deal with a bad “owner” experience Due to covid exposure and not wanting to spread a viral infection around to other guests or people, we could not make our reservation and I knew finding out the week of would require a conversation with customer support as I did read the policy that states 14+ day cancellations only

I did not expect nor really want to cancel my visit but to re-arrange it to work for another date I figured it was worth a shot and if it’s not possible so be it I however was not ready for the phone call from a “owner” regarding my reservationWhat started as just a question ended with a supposed owner getting angry and frustrated at me for made up reasons they decided to conjure up This person obviously cared very little about customers and more about the money This was validated when they took pretty much the entire conversation as me personally attacking them On top of this I was told that I should support big businesses over small ones if I wanted to have coverage/insurance for a reservationThey literally told me not to support them even though they also stated how if they did this kind of cancellation for everything they would have to close and they had no availability to move or re-arrange my stayAgain I was not speaking to customer service because I thought I deserved a refund but more because I wanted to verify there was nothing they could do for me as it doesn’t hurt to ask the question and I mainly would’ve wanted to move it over cancel it This review is solely based on a return phone call I received from the owner and her handling of situation and how poorly of a job she did

Willow Jergensen

I don’t know how we have never heard of this hotel before we stayed here! This will be me and my husband’s get away spot from now on if we need a get away for the weekend First off the lobby is very cozy and super friendly They had fresh baked cookies and water for us when we walked in

When we walked into our room it was AH-MAZING! A goodie bag waiting for us with more cookies, water bottles, lotion, and chips They had the towels on the bed in a cute folded heart and the bathroom was huge! They also have a swimming pool and hot tub, we didn’t have enough time to use it though (Next time) And unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures but just take my word, this is the best spot in LG It’s located downtown, you can walk everywhere from there and leave your car in the parking garage that’s free for guests 10 stars from me!

I certainly haven’t taken enough photos to do justice to this beautiful resort I genuinely was too busy relaxing and taking in the beauty of everything the resort had to offer It is a perfect place for romantic, family, friends or whatever getaway you need

Lake Geneva is a beautiful place, so there is a lot you can do there I gave the service a 3 star, mainly because of issues at the pool and change rooms The whirlpool was not clean, I actually cleaned it before getting in The change room showers didn’t have soap and the dispensers were broken and had grayish green build up Other than that, the place, people and vibe is fantastic

Shelby Coleman

My husband and I stayed at the Abbey resort for an anniversary stay They allowed us to check in early for a small fee The room was a great size but the patio door was extremely hard to shut

The room also had two separate thermostats and one was hidden so for a couple hours the room was very hot (The hidden thermostat was set to heat in August) The bed was very uncomfortable It sunk down on the edge Thankfully we were only staying one night or we would have requested to move rooms The room did have a nice view of the outdoor pool and located just down the hall from the spa The resort had a nice looking bar/restaurant but it wasn’t open while we were there I anticipate they could make a large profit if they would open it up a little earlier They also have a cool little snack bar/coffee shop located in the lobby They have EV chargers located by the front door The employees were very kind and resourceful

Avita Desai Odoom

We stayed in a suite for our stay Things went wrong from the moment we arrived I called and requested early check in and was told we could come in at 2pm for our room

Upon arrival at 2pm, we were told our room was not ready and check in was at 4pm I explained that I had requested early check in and after front desk radioed housekeeping, I was told “your room will be ready in one hour” We returned to the hotel at 3:30pm and were told yet again, your room is not ready Very disappointing as we traveled 2 hours to come here and had 3 small children with usOnce we finally arrived to our room we noticed a few issues One pull out sofa would not open and engineering arrived to repair This same couch would not close when it was time to leave and again engineering came to repairThe bathtub drain was broken so our children couldn’t take a bath We opted for a shower but the faucet didn’t work properly and when shower mode was engaged, the faucet spewed out scalding hot water while the shower head was lukewarm This was not the experience my family was hoping forWhen I was getting ready to leave i called down to the front desk and asked if there were any luggage carts available and if someone could bring us one (We were previously told that if we needed anything luggage related, bellmen were available to help at no charge) The front desk sounded irritated by the request but said they’d send one up We waited close to 40 30 minutes and didn’t have time to spare since check out was nearing We managed to go to and from the car in multiple trips while carting all kids in and out I’m cold temps When we arrived to checkout, there were 3-4 bellmen standing around and one woman working checkout with a very long line The resort has gone downhill and I’m sad that this was our experience

My partner and I loved our stay here We stayed 2 nights in April and will definitely be back The cottage itself was very comfortable and had a lot of attention to detail

It was nice to have our privacy and still know the staff would be around if we needed anything The close walk to downtown was great as well The breakfast that was brought each morning had plenty of options and everything tasted amazing The vegan options were carefully selected and delicious We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Lake Geneva

This place is PERFECT They have everything anyone could want We had wine and cheese included with our stay and it was waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived

The breakfast baskets were great The house was spotless and comfortable They have good temperature controls and a nice bathroom and kitchen area Plenty of towels, mugs, etc They included tea and a kettle in the room which made me happy since hotels never remember to include that Downtown is a short walk away, so you can avoid paying for parking I’m recommending this place to everyone I know!

We really loved our stay here The cottage is a well built, well designed mini home Gas fireplace, huge jacuzzi tub, king bed, waterfall shower, mini kitchen

Very well done Quiet and peaceful We enjoyed the daily basket for breakfast Every day there was something different and it was more like a brunch We also had the romantic package which was worth the cost You can walk downtown too Very convenient location The staff are very nice Just like a hotel, you have daily housekeeping unless you opt for do not disturb It would be great to rent the whole property for an anniversary, wedding, reunionsomething like that There is an outdoor BBQ seating area

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here This was our first time in Lake Geneva and we will be coming back! We liked the location, it was walking distance to downtown There were a variety of eateries to choose from

I wish we would have enjoyed our balcony but there were too many mosquitoes due to the heat and rain Overall, a great experience!

San d

The hotel is very nicely located right opposite the lake, and there are rooms with balcony facing the lake The view from the balcony is beautiful The hotel does not have any breakfast or restaurant but there are places around the hotel for that

It is just about a few minutes walk from the heart of downtown Parking is convenient with both around the hotel and underground

Fiona

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was friendly The reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because some things in the room weren’t well maintained (ice bucket with a broken handle, water damage or something that rotted away the bottom of the bathroom vanity, the fan that pulls air from the bedroom to the living room did nothing) It was still a nice room for what we paid, in February, but if I had paid summer rates I probably would have been disappointed with the issues I mentioned above

OK, so I’ve never been here as a customer, but I’ve visited here over the years as a vendor (band member) The staff are always great to work with They’re always so nice and helpful

The food they cater at events is always good It’s just a great resort vibe to be here They have this big new party boat that they rent out Our band played on it for a party this week as it drove around the lake Super fun and unique experience!

Daniel Secedi

Beautiful waterfront views throughout the entire resort We enjoyed a 3-day weekend in the winter with plenty of indoor walking around the large loop of buildings connected with hallways The indoor pool is great, especially if you have kids

The hot tub is a nice addition There is also a spa Although the Frontier restaurant was closed, the Lookout Bar was an adequate substitute along with the café They have a wide variety of different sizes and types of rooms in the various lodges

Sarah Halloway

I stayed here with my family as a nice getaway It was fine enough The decor was nice, the arcade was tiny and the air hockey table took so

e of our money without giving us a puck to play with The pool and hot tub were fine too Nothing terrible happened and things were clean Just a little pricey for what was available, in my opinion

The hotel was fantastic! We had a suite on the 3rd floor with a soaker tub It was incredibly clean, the view was unbeatable I would stay here again in a heartbeat All the employees we interacted with were very friendly and always engaging in conversation

Deducted 1 star for food in the restaurant, I would highly recommend not eating there I saw the other negative reviews on the food but I thought I’d take a chanceThe crab cakes were tasty, but the steak, chicken and pasta left much to be desired The main courses were very bland The staff in the restaurant were so kind and attentive thoughI am so grateful that a hotel like this exists with impeccable customer service and friendliness I will definitely book here again when it’s warmer so I can take advantage of the balcony! Thank you to everyone there that made our stay enjoyable

Arrived yesterday and was greeted promptly by a friendly desk clerk The room was ready and was very clean! The view was amazing Great job to the housekeeping team

I made the mistake of leaving the screen door open on the patio and a million bugs checked in on the ceiling The clerk immediately moved me to another room without hesitation and gave that room to the bugs for the night Dinner in the Grandview was excellent, nice atmosphere and excellent views The checkout process was quick and the clerk thanked us for staying Great atmosphere and great customer service I will definitely be back

Judy

Went here for our anniversary and it was wonderful! We had a room with a view of the lake and got to see the sunset from our balcony It was a very relaxing weekend Make sure you have dinner at the restaurant, food was wonderful with very tender steak

😋 It’s also not in town, which we really liked because it was so peaceful and quiet Very beautiful and clean Inn We will returnThe ride to town was short, but make sure if you go you pay for parking Signs are not well posted everywhere so if you think you’re parking where you don’t have to pay, you’re wrong We learned the hard way with a ticket plus a service charge
