A huge thank you to Stephanie at Caney Creek Resort My son and his friend went striper fishing as a graduation gift This was his first trip without a parent or grandparent (he’s 19)

The guys said Stephanie was very friendly, professional, and helpful The rooms had everything they needed and the distance to soldier creek were just steps away Stephanie went out of her way to call me a few days later and personally mailed me everything the guys left behind Undertaking ownership of a resort is a huge undertaking, but I am confident with this detail to service, Stephanie and her staff will have many more years of success Thanks for treating my kid as your own!Sincerely,Gina Henry

Lovely hotel! Stayed here for 4 nights and was really positively surprised The place is very new and the room was very clean Staff was very nice and I really liked the keyless keys that work with your phone

I can only recommend staying at this hotel! The only thing I’d change about it is the location of the swimming pool which is in a very awkward spot where people from the check in can watch you I wish they had put the pool in the back or something Other than that 10/10

We are staying here due to our home being restored We were not able to get a king sized bed room but we’re happy with the size on the two queens room Bathtub was a little dirty and air vents definitely were dusty

They explained to us at check in that we would need to call before 10am for any housekeeping which we were definitely fine with The first night, we received prompt service to receive extra towels and trash bags, but the second night I ran into a bit of a snafu It really wasn’t that big of a deal but the girl at the front desk made it seem like she was the only one there and that I needed to come down to get some more coffee for the next day Fine Third day, I requested housekeeping at 8:30 in the morning Left the room for 6 hours (3 hours 2 different times) and finally came home around 5ish with my toddler who was asleep When I got into the room, our room was not serviced I called down to see if someone could do it quick and unfortunately I was met with attitude The girl said no, you can get your own sheets and trash bags from the front as housekeeping is already gone I told her that I couldn’t because my toddler was already asleep and my husband wouldn’t be back until later I said so there’s no one who can bring it to me? And she goes no I’m the only one here Requested the manager who was already gone for the day The next day I had to call a few times to finally get the manager He was helpful and told me it wouldn’t happen again and that as well she was not the only worker that previous night and someone could have helped me BUT as soon as I was satisfied with the response/resolution I received, I didn’t appreciate the next part of our conversation where he was asking me if I used profanity with his worker I certainly did not use profanity and told him he could review the call if he didn’t believe me At the same time…I’m a guest I felt like I was being accused and felt like that was unnecessary I used to work customer service as a manager myself and know how to treat people Yes I was upset, but would never call someone names or cuss at them over not having a room serviced Honestly, I don’t know how long we will be here, but I wouldn’t probably stay here by choice again

That pool is not the one from this Hilton For the price I expected room service and a nice bathroom The bathroom was small

The room was small It just wasn’t what I expected for the price The bartender was the nicest person there The desk clerk acted like I was wasting his time The chef was cool And as I said I don’t know what pool area that picture was from but it wasn’t at this Hilton Even the pool was tiny There just wasn’t anything impressive about it If the only room you can get costs almost $200 You should be impressed about something It was just disappointing

Nice Restaurant with great views of the Marina and Lake Texoma Catfish Basket and Chicken Tenders as well as various Burger preparations Depending on which ‘ Chef’ on duty may experience some variations in preparations as well

Occ expect irregular hours of Restaurant Today the usual Breakfast menu was not available All in all, usually a good Lunch place with nice Bar Probably best not expect exotic libations that you would in an ‘uptown’ establishment

This was probably the best place we stayed on our 10-day trip! Rooms were clean and comfortable My girls appreciated hot chocolate in the lobby before bed Hot breakfast was delicious and varied (scrambled eggs, egg and cheese omelettes, sausage patties, diced potatoes, crockpot oatmeal, TX waffles in vanilla or cinnamon roll- flavored batter, mini waffles, bread and bagels for toasting, muffins, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, milk; plus Terrie was super friendly, always cheerfully replenishing food and checking in with guests to see if they needed anything)

And the outdoor pool was very clean and delightful for cooling off after a hot day Great place to stay!

Checking in was a breeze! Bree was very friendly, welcoming, and had excellent customer service We did have some issues with the AC Unit; however, on the first mention of it to the front desk staff on duty, he was on it in no time

He was polite and did everything he could to assist us that night! Would I go back to this hotel? Absolutely! No doubt

We had such a great time here, my boys (age 3 and 5) never wanted to leave! We made friends with the cows in the “back yard,” paddled boats in the little pond, went hiking, found “fossils” in the woods (I have no idea what small dead animal bones they found, but they brought it home – pray for me!!) and enjoyed all the amenities indoors; many kitchen utensils, an egg bake for breakfast (wow!!), and all the fixings for s’mores, making a fire, and grilling up food It was so relaxing and fun! These folks thought of everything you could need to enjoy your time away from the big city!

45 Stars is not an option, but that’s what I would give if I could The 1/2 star loss would be due to something that is fully my responsibility/fault

Flowing Wells was the only one to have an open slip which was oversized for my boat and I had plans to sell the boat The whole time discussing the slip with them we talked monthly costsetc However, in the contract – you sign a year lease I should have read it better, but it would also be good customer service to discuss that However, they did put my slip up to be leased, leased it and released me from my contract —–I opt’ed to do 5 stars since I really had no other issues with them that are worth discussing Hit a problem, they fixed it, generally friendly but more importantly they have always been responsive to issues So 5 stars as opposed to 4 due them doing a good job and it was technically my responsibility to read the contract better (Just was excited to go fishing :))

Nice place overlooking the water Our group rented two cabins next to each other – one bed/bath cottage, and two bedroom with loft Both were quite nice

The larger one with loft had lots of space for 6 people The master bathroom has a large jacuzzi bath The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes and such The deck overlooking the lake had great sunsets/sunrises The one on the larger cabin has a roof The deck on the smaller one did not If you have a boat that can beach on shallow water or a waverunner, you could easily beach it in view of the deck They have free WIFI, but don’t expect video streaming speeds – its 4 Mbps up & 1 Mbps down The water from the faucets tasted funny to us so bring your own drinking water There’s a grocery store not too far away We would definitely stay here again

My boss and I stayed here for work travel and both had slightly different experiences This hotel is a little deceiving, but still a decent stay The lobby is very done up to look up scale

We both felt the rooms have a very dated look, but it is because of the color schemes My room on the other hand I was not very pleased withFirst, the tub had the sticker in it to stop you from slipping and it was stained up and brown The bathroom itself had very poor quality of work done in it This is just an ascetics things, but that is what you want to look best for guests, but the silicone around the tub looked like a 3 year old had done it The tiles on the floor were cracked and one by the tub rocked back and forth when you stepped on it Upon looking closer, the door and the wooden sink counter were both rotting and the laminate was pealing from them After noticing this, I went to take my shower and the shower head sprayed at such a wide angle and high pressure that no matter how much you tuck the curtain against the sides, it soaks the floor Explains the door and bad tilesNext, when I went into the room to get ready to do some pc work, I noticed something under the rolling chair Upon looking closer, it was chunks of chocolate chip cookie Apparently the cleaning staff did not do their due diligence in cleaning this roomFor the price that my boss paid for this room and the fact that it is a Best Western Plus, I would expect higher quality Plus the TV was small in my opinion Most hotels now have fairly large TV’s, but that is just a personal preference and I did not mark their review any lower due to thisMy bosses experience was a little different His room was fully renovated and cleanWhile meeting him the next morning, I noticed that at the bottom of almost every single door on our floor, the door was warped and the laminate was pealing Apparently that floor of this hotel was flooded and they never changed or fixed the doors

This hotel is very nice Just beautiful I think that I have finally found a hotel to stay at on the way down to visit my son

I have been traveling this route for 12 years and have never found a hotel that I really liked Every hotel I stayed at in the past turned out to be a disaster in some manner Also a plusa hotel that is easy on, easy off the highway It all works for me at this hotel FINALLY!

I called ahead to verify they had a room available and a very nice woman answered and told me yes, they have plenty of available rooms and there was no need to make a reservation for that afternoon She explained the pet policy to me and was very helpful Then we get here a couple hours later, as planned, and the man working the desk claimed they only have one room left and it’s naturally their most expensive room

I checked online and it shows they still had two of the regular rooms availablePros: The AC works well and the bed is big and decently comfortable The water pressure is great, and I appreciate that they’re pet-friendly Aside from the guy who checked me in, most of the staff I’ve bumped into since arriving have been really cool/nice and seem to be working hardCons: The man at the front desk was rude and incompetent, and is the main reason my perception of this hotel is so bad Everything else I could’ve dealt with better if it hadn’t been for the “welcoming” we got The room is rough: the floors are uneven and half the lights don’t work, there’s a weird perpetually damp spot on the floor right when you walk in, the fridge smells like mold, the microwave looks like it’s from the 80s and doesn’t reheat food, the sofa is broken and dirty, the ceiling is flaking off in the bathroom, and the TVs don’t workOverall: The woman who answered when I first called, Sabrina, and the maintenance and room service staff get 5 stars Hotel gets 2 and the guy at the front desk gets 0

Great place, -clean rooms, -friendly staff, -great side dog yard with dog bags & binThey did a great job of protecting customer privacy They didn’t ask me to recite my address in the lobby (best to check an ID or write it down so no one overhears) & they kept my room number private

After having been followed by a strange man to my room at another establishment I sincerely appreciated that extra care & I slept more soundly

Through the Looking Glass

Stayed here for the last month This is a well run , well kept hotel Spacious rooms, I had no room issues or any other

Housekeeping is efficient and easily accessible if you need something My room was easy to heat/cool and I was there during this past ice storm Parking lot is clean with plenty of room for large autos and trucks Outdoor pool looks nice although it wasn’t open but sitting at the window table that overlooks it is a nice spot Plenty of tv channels as well Also laundry room is clean with a nice washer & dryer at end of hall on first floor by the stairs Exercise room is on second floor by the stairs… Easy to get around in this hotel

Staff was nice Rooms are filthy, walked barefoot for a few minutes and bottoms of feet were black

stains on chairs in room, fridge smells, nothing really seemed cleanbeds were comfy though Shower was patched in multiple places Paint coming off the walls Some tiles in bathroom were loose Smudges on mirror Ac worked which was a good thing

David Akes

Hotel is under construction, which is some of the issue It’s a pain to get in and out Fitness center is out of service

Biggest issue is my room smelled like cigarette smoke and even though the air conditioner kept it cool it was somehow humid and sticky in my room I didn’t really sleep at all because if this The staff was very nice but the hotel was booked so I couldn’t get a new room I stay at a lot of IHG hotels and this was the worst one ever If the staff wasn’t so nice I’d give this zero stars

Belinda Heckard

Construction interferes with the entrance This is my second two weeks stay here the first two weeks I was here the pool was out of order with renovations going on This past week the pool’s been open but it doesn’t open until 11:00

I am here with a group that works nights, they put me next to the meeting room on the first floor and then had a sweet 16 birthday party This happened on a weekday that I had to go to work that night So I was not very happy with with that at all
