My husband and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday life and chose to come back to Sugarcreek We previously stayed in one of the converted train car rooms and loved it so we decided to stay here again The location is perfect

It’s reasonably priced It’s tucked away so it’s quiet Our room was quaint and very clean The shower had great water pressure The bed was a little firm (especially if you’re a side sleeper), but comfortable Something we didn’t notice on our first visit is how thin the walls are We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms next to us The wall unit for the heat and AC could use an update (we either felt like we were melting or we were cold) We also wished that we had a microwave in our room Overall it was a great place to stay and we will go back again Hopefully when we return the caboose will be ready to rent!

Traveled 3 hours to get here Loved how the Inn is off the beaten path Very quiet and inviting

The porch is very spacious For the price, the room was nice The cons are: the room was a little small, lacked a mini fridge and microwave The a/c was difficult to navigate You’re either too hot or too cold The carpet definitely needed cleaned We had to wear socks at all times Overall we will stay again We loved the area, which wasn’t crowded at all

My husband and I were driving to Ohio to attend inkcarceration in Mansfield We stayed three nights It’s about an hour away but the drive was super pretty so we weren’t too worried about it

It was a little hard to find and there were a couple minor things I could complain about but nothing crazy It’s in a cute little town, feels safe and it’s SUPER quiet, and not too many people which obviously was a plus The staff member we spoke with was polite and helpful, and the place was pretty clean from what I saw We got a room in the lower floor, just like a bedroom in the basement, it’s different from a commercial hotel but it was well kept and had a nice homey feel It was pretty dark and the bed was real comfortable so we slept good There’s little to no service in the town or anywhere around it, they provide WiFi but I only connected to it if I was in or around the office but our room was in the basement so it’s understandable, no big deal to us They have a cute little Keurig machine inside, needless to say it was nice to have some quick hot chocolate after being in the pouring rain until 11 at night, just added to the homey vibe Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we’re glad we got to support a local business over a chain hotel, would definitely stay again!

Our room was ok No continental breakfast provided, a breakfast in a bag instead However, they never told us you had to ask for it- they were kept in a back room

So for 2 days we got nothing! Pool is still advertised, but it’s not open- they should fix it or update the website- very misleading especially for those with kids They screwed up some of the rooms and gave my aunt and uncle’s handicap room to someone else So when my aunt & uncle arrived, they had NO ROOM They had to go to my sister’s room to get ready for the wedding and you guessed it, her room is NOT handicap accessible so my aunts wheelchair didn’t fit in the bathroom! The hotel, at 11pm, then had the couple in the handicap room move out to another room (how confusing and ineptly run this place is) They weren’t even there, another relative had to move their stuff! We were all there for an out of town wedding so this hotel had an opportunity to show off their professionalism and courteous service This would be a really nice hotel if the staff were trained better and the owners took some pride

Joan Ryan

Had a reservation and confirmation number for a nearby family wedding They somehow lost many of our family’s reservations When we found out, we all tried to remake reservations but they were not helpful and downright rude

If you call for anything and get Rhonda, just hang up and call back later It’s not worth dealing with her nasty attitude Glad I’m never coming back here again

Because of a tornado in the area, we had to find new accommodations and this was the ONLY hotel in a 30 mile area that had rooms and electricityThe prices were VERY reasonable

we got a large King Suite for $135 The only negative is that the mattress wasn’t very comfortable It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t what I’ve come to expect from most hotels The breakfast bar was adequate as well The staff on hand were always pleasant & helpful

Jacob G. (Jacob)

We stayed here for a wedding in April The whole hotel stinks, and second floor smells like smoke and chemicals combined Our room was dirty and outdated

The carpet was stained and worn, beds were terrible, but the only clean thing in the room There was trash on the floor, and the whole bathroom was a mess There was a head of hair in the shower, and mold everywhere Breakfast was lacking, and the elevator is horrific we would have stayed at another hotel nearby if we were not there for the wedding

Rey Riveras

The service was good, friendly personnel, the room and the areas where really clean but I give it 3 stars because of the bed is the most uncomfortable bed is good for 2 days but if you are going to spend more than that you going to regret it We spend 6 nights and by the third we all was in back pain hips pain and our vacation became something uncomfortable and unforgettable and not for a good reason

Exemplary sense of hospitality Brief house tour upon arrival, yummy lemon cookies waiting in the room, flexible breakfast time, coffee with the hosts, and a goodie bag upon departure The house has the charm of yesteryear with stained glasses and flowers (wallpapers, trays, cups

) Very good breakfast A good spot to reach Amish country the next day or to visit Dover Thanks Al and Natalie

Barry Miller

We love Al and Natalie Their grasp of being an inn keeper is right on They have a beautiful facility, the rooms are bright and clean, the amenities are useful and appreciated

We only stayed 30 minutes the cabin was cute But we realize there was no where to cook food There’s a grill that is connected to the ground about 500 feet away behind the garage

It was very cold beware that there are neighbors and it sounded like they were coming thru the wall I guess it depends on what kind of guests you get The couch was extremely uncomfortable the bed was extremely hard, put some money into a better bed and furniture for people’s comfort It is a cute cabin it just was not for us Hocking Hills is our only place Owners were nice only charged us cancellation fee since we left

I don’t know why anyone would leave anything but a 5 star review on this hotel It’s so charming! The host was so friendly The rooms are spotless! There are hairdryers as well as plenty of towels, soaps, and hair products in the room

It was refreshing to see a bible in the room as hotels usually do not have them in them anymore I love the outside seating, they have several romantic gazebos, different chairs spread out, and a beautiful swing underneath a gorgeous tree! The beds are comfortable and they have an extra soft blanket and extra pillow in the dresser drawer A lot of closet and dresser space for a family run hotel I will definitely come stay here again!

Lauren Todd

We enjoyed everything about our stay The room was cozy, staff that we encountered very friendly and the package that we had was fun! We were able to visit a lot of places that I normally wouldn’t know existed! The freebies that the partnered businesses give out are good too! The only disappointment I had was talking to a local shop owner who told us that some people won’t even shop the store, just come in to get the freebie and run off We will definitely stay again… package or not😀

jo alexander

I was brought to this inn because of a winter package they offered I can’t complain about much The bed was a bit too firm for me, but that’s a personal preference

The deal that they offered that partnered with other businesses in the area made it worth it The lady at the front desk was very nice The cleaning ladies were also quite nice, because we forgot something in the room and they allowed us to go back in to get it If they run specials with other businesses in the town again I would for sure say give it a shot Good luck Dutch Host Inn

Room, bathroom & hot tub were spotless! So nice to not have to clean a room you are paying for! Lil card on stand said Shawna had cleaned (She did a great job!! ) We stayed 7/23/22 and were very satisfied with our room The carpeting( entrance door marked #1) smelled like garbage had sat there on the carpet to long

Only issue we had

Adam Wilkins (Anarin)

I’ll admit I was a bit shocked at the price for the night for a “quality inn”, in my experience this company wasn’t very goodBut, this place was pretty amazing Clean room, comfortable bed, nice front desk people

Cannot say one bad thing about this place

One of the best breakfast selections!Clean! Great staff! Comfortable bed!Parking is tight, especially for a full sized truck I understand that you want as many parking spaces as possible, but come on Man!I need more than 3 inches of space to get my suitcase out

Natalie Autumnfaye

The rooms are gross I’m shocked this is classified as a Hilton The ceilings on the second floor appear to have black mold by the elevator

My mattress had gum underneath it The pull out beds have springs and torn mattresses I’m pretty sure mine has bed bugs The showers have mold growing as well I’m just shocked The workers are nice and I have nothing against them They’re helpful I just feel the rooms are absolutely horrid I also already have a rash on my legs and it hasn’t been an hour in the bed They gave me 4 pillowcases for one pillow for a reasonThe rooms at least have to have better mattresses and be clean

Robin Dierkes

This place isn’t even close to what a Hilton standard should be and what I am used to staying in The bathroom shower is completely outdated and gross The beds need replaced they are not what I expected from a Hilton ran place old and lumpy

I think I would have been better staying at the Holiday Inn express The night staff at the front desk was extremely rude yelling at us like we are children and not grown adults They refused to let is use the lobby at night even though we were being extremely respectful and quiet The rooms are dark yellow and dreary looking I am extremely disappointed that this is advertised as a Hilton Hotel
