Stayed here for the weekend, staff was courteous & approachable Hotel was clean & neat at all times Nice continental breakfast provided with ample seating in the adjacent dining room

We didn’t use the pool but took advantage of the whirlpool/hot tub Plenty of fresh towels were available for use There was no night noise or overnight issues which does occur Hotel was close to everything we needed & proximity to major highway was ideal

Fantastic stay ! Highly recommend it! Clean , friendly, quiet, & it’s close to camelback, shopping , Delaware river ! Check in was easy room was ready & clean Coffee is always available Breakfast buffet was a hit ! The staff running the breakfast buffet are amazing! The pool & hot tub are small , but it’s great for a quick dip

The gym has a few treadmills & free weights Both the gym & pool have fresh towels daily We stayed in a king suite on the 3rd floor Very quiet & the AC is on steroids ! The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal! The fire pit in the rear is great for relaxing after an adventurous day !

Nice hotel for a last minute stay It was super spotless and clean! I don’t understand how this is only rates a 2 star hotel as we never staybat under 3, and I was so impressed! We came in extremely late, being too tired to drive through the Pocono Mountain night fog The lady who checked us in gave excellent customer service, giving us a late night gift bag

Also, they happily extended our check out time to noon, so I could get some sleep My only criticism is that the Breakfast hours are too limited

This is my second time here, and have enjoyed it both times The hotel and attached brewery staff are wonderful Like other reviews say, the rooms can seem a bit dated

BUT they are renovating a lot of rooms currently it seemsAnother guest said their TV didn’t work, and neither did ours Not a big deal though Room on the smaller side, but the bathroom seems to have been updated recently which was nice and the bed super comfyWould also recommend extending the bakery hours, or having a community pantry where you can buy goods like medicine or personal care items around the clock Had an incident where my partner could have used Tylenol or Advil, but was unable to get it because the bakery was closed Staff was very helpful in providing some at their own expense though!! (Thanks a bunch woman at concierge’s desk)In Summary, a historical hotel going through good, necessary updates I most likely will be visiting again!!

SunMonet

Stayed here recently while skiing at Shawnee for a few days At first our stay got off to a rocky start when the television in our room didn’t work We were moved to a larger, more updated room

The staff really went over and above to accommodate us, giving us a discount for the night’s stay and a food voucher We extended our stay because of this The rooms are clean and functional Large indoor pool with hot tub Nearby is the quaint Gem and Keystone pub, which has great food Stayed at the Inn numerous times over the years and have always loved the historic charm of this hotel

Randy Botts

Historic place that has some really nice features Beautiful big porch with seating that overlooks the practice green and Delaware River Lots of scheduled activities and a restaurant and golf course on site

Room was OK, nice bed and floor but bathroom left a lot to be desired It was very small and extremely dated with peeling wallpaper Could easily hear the loud group in the room next to us It is a very old hotel with a lot of history so it makes staying there kind of worthwhile

Wonderful experience I loved everything about this place It was so warm and cozy, just what my husband and I were looking for

We stayed in the nature room which is separate from the house It has a beautiful view of the trees and river Leslie is amazing and the best cook! Each morning she leaves breakfast for you and it might be the best breakfast we’ve had I even asked her if she’s a chef because it was delicious and you can tell it’s cooked with love The surrounding area is beautiful and has many amazing trails to see We can’t wait to get away again and stay here So glad I found Santosha!

Diana

Amazing place! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday night We rented out the Naturescape room

I wanted to stay a whole week! The beautiful deck, tub, atmosphere we woke up at 8 am and had birds chirping and frogs croaking The mist was coming over the mountains Very secluded and private There was so much natural light in my room Everything smelt very new and “woodsy” if you will Such nice owners and we met great friendly people at breakfast!

Liz Lassus

It’s going to be hard to top this B&B! The house is beautiful and the outdoor space is inviting and relaxing My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights (August 2018) and our stay exceeded our expectations Leslie cooked delicious and health breakfasts

The breakfasts were so filling we skipped lunch Leslie and Gene are lovely hosts We really hope to plan another stay next year!

Just came back from a weekend here with friends It was wonderful We stayed in a dog friendly cabin – was great to be able to bring ours along

Check in was fast & easy We were able to get in early and enjoy the poolThe pool was a super fun vibe There were multiple drag queens doing performances and an awesome DJ Everyone was having a great time Lots of options for drinksWe had dinner and lunch at the restaurant I was very impressed by the food, but the service was a bit slow & chaotic First half our party got entrees, then our appetizers came, then 30 min later the rest of the entrees showed up The restaurant itself is brand new & immaculateWe didn’t spend much time at the club but it seemed niceI hope to return soon and spend more time here!

Javier Tavira

Been coming to this place for 8 years and I love it All the staff, drag queens (Tracy d Dior Ariel and Francesca) Are truly the best, big asset to this place

Bring the ambience to a different level and because of that we will continue to come We keep bringing our friends over and the community seems to be very nice and welcoming Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Some details: *WE LEFT THE KEY IN THE ROOM AND LEFT OFF TO ANOTHER HOTEL* we booked on a Saturday night in April 2022 (so no pool yet of course) and only two of us for the booking I would steer away from this “resort” as much as possible When my boyfriend booked this for us, I was SO excited because of the pictures and the description of the whole place on their website

He booked it for us and didn’t double check with me The nightclub was a huge anticipation for me We get to the place, off the bat super confused where to park, but wasn’t a big deal Then we go inside to get our room key and check in, a nice woman at the front desk helps us and gives us room #1 in the same building as the lobby When we got up there… it was disgusting The room was still dirty, there were hairs on the bed, the sheets were messed up, there was a soda bottle in the sink and it was a super small room, so I definitely wasn’t expecting that That room felt like it was going to cave in at any second No TV or anything other than a dresser and a table and a really stiff bed We decided to ask for another room We spoke to another front desk associate who seemed as if we were an inconvenience, but this time they gave us room #5 in the same building It turned out to be the room right next to the stairs and we heard EVERYTHING The room felt SO dirty This room was clean but the windows were so crusty, the table was so worn out, under the sink was…gross The bed was stiff and it felt like I was in the 1980s with old furniture that came from a thrift store I felt so uncomfortable The lobby looked so nice and artsy so I thought I would be met with the same in the rooms No, It was not artsy It was gross We called another hotel to book same day and left the key on the table, that’s how bad it was The second room we were given had a wrinkled bed too I would give it 0 stars, but I can’t so it’s a 1 star for me I added some pictures to this place if you wanted to take a look They had two odd and different looking chairs next to a rundown table Hopefully they can learn from the bad reviews theyre gaining in 2022 alone

This was our 4th visit to the resort and we already have 2 more lined up We have stayed in the suites, a lakeside cabin, and once in a small cottage in the woods The suites are gorgeous and modern with vaulted ceilings and have a great view of the grounds

They are more of a luxury hotel room with a microwave and espresso machine (I brought my own Keurig with me because I cannot go without my regular coffee) The cottages and cabins have kitchens that are stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils You will need to bring your own toiletries We just came back from a stay in a lakeside cabin and this was our favorite so far for the location, view and access to the lake just steps from the front door The fishing is unbelievable due to the perfect size of the lake and because the owners keep it stocked so well We bring our own food so that we can make quick things to eat in between times out on the lake You need to leave the resort to go out to eat, but that isn’t our focus when we visit anyway, so it is a non-issue We spoke with Amber at the front desk a few times while making our reservation this last time and she helped us pick out the best cabin location for what we wanted, which was somewhere quiet and with boat access steps away We have also spoken with Nadine at the front desk and she is also quite amazing and helpful when making our reservations and during the check in and out process This resort is a true getaway and we really love it here!

Kayjay Claveria

Just spent a weekend here, and have to admit we were very disappointed with our stay First of all, the check in lady was rude and not very welcoming I had a few questions and she quickly rushed me through check-in and handed me our packet

I also felt their website was misleading, and what we paid was not worth the price of staying for the weekend I was told there was “a lot to do here” by the check in lady, but everything was closed and the only thing available was a quick 2mile hike around the lake None of the boats or fishing gear were available for rent, which we were very disappointed by Also there is no food available on site, you have to leave the resort every time you want to eat, and everything was about a 10-15min drive away depending on what you wanted to eat Our cabin was beautiful and clean, which we loved We also enjoyed the fireplace But that was the only thing we enjoyed For almost $1000 for a weekend, we were better off staying at a hotel somewhere else and looking for the public hiking options However, we booked this trip over a year ago and had already out down a deposit so we were obligated to still go We rebooked for the SAME weekend a year later and the price had gone up by $300-400 extra! Which I truly don’t understand, because as previously stated, there was not much to do and not much available The resort was empty, and it wasn’t a busy weekend/holiday weekend so I’m not sure what could have made the price go up I think this might have been more worth it had we been here for a wedding with a bigger group of people Overall, very disappointed and would not recommend

My cabin was amazingThe fireplace added a great ambiance for a romantic getawayAlso the shower is next level, you may enjoy it the most with a rain shower head and 3 additional side jets

We stayed in Crestview (on a timeshare loan), which are supposedly their nicest units The unit was spacious and a good spot to hang in between the abundant area activities It had a fully stocked kitchen and the master bedroom had a bathtub/jacuzzi thing! But that’s about all it had going for it

It has the big things, but not the little things The Internet only let you connect four devices on the complimentary plan and it was spotty in our unit There’s very little cell coverage (Verizon and at&t at least) in the area The TVs are kind of small, not that we went there for those There were details missing too – like a sliding door with no handle, you could lock yourself on the balcony because the lock bar for the door would fall in place if you shut it behind you, the towels were sad, and everything was just kind of DatedThe main recreation facility was also a bit datedThe staff and concierge were wonderful and had great recommendations for the area! Unfortunately, the dated facilities and missing details are holding it back I feel like as an experience it was good, but as a timeshare luxury resort, it was a 3 out 5 experience for me It just didn’t have that “wow” I would come back though, just with lower expectations

Tracy Murphy

Amazing home feel Plenty of space, very clean, well-maintained vacation spot Highly recommend for short getaway

Half bath on main level, on 2nd level there are 2 bedrooms ( 1 has 2 queen size beds & the other bedroom has a queen complete with its own full bathroom The other full size bathroom has a stand up shower and a jacuzzi)Best surprise was the suite comes complete with washer & dryer off from kitchen

Vanesa P

We had a fun and affordable stay At first we were super impressed by the size of the one bedroom After the kids walked around barefoot for a while we realized the tiled kitchen wasn’t all that clean

There were also little bugs in the sink and bathtub every morning We’d stay again, but I’d bring cleaning products and Raid next time

I’ve been to the Deer Head Inn many times in the last 15 or 20 years It’s a fantastic intimate venue for great music and food They have a nice sized bar, good food with a limited menu

The entire place is adorned in pictures of musicians and the like, many I imagined played there at some point I estimate about 20 to 25 tables and about as many stools at the bar Almost any seat in the house has a decent view, and is probably within 30′ of the stage If you love Jazz and want a nice atmosphere for a date night, or birthday, or just getting out to hear great music and have some food this is the place to go One of the absolute gems in the PoconosYou should definitely call and make a reservation, or you have a good chance of not getting seated when they are busyI have not stayed in any of the rooms, so this review is for the restaurant and stage only

Chris Burt

Wowowow! Came off the Appalachian Trail and saw this amazing 4 story colonial era building We heard live jazz music and an appreciative audience cheering Walked in dirty sweaty and fully loaded

The hostess, the staff and the patrons welcomed us openly We stayed the night, ate great food and listened to music that put a hop back into my tired steps Eat here! Stay here! Thanks Deer Head!

My Hubby and I went for a nice/romantic weekend getaway The staff was sparse, but very nice & friendly

The hotel was very clean including the large, plain rooms You cannot beat the location! I absolutely recommend the Irish pub across the street We did ask for a change of our linens after night 1 & some more towels Someone from the staff came in while we were out in the heat all day, dropped off towels, NEVER touched the linens for us & TURNED OUR A/C OFF Not nice The Air conditioning could really work better But, overall, we were pleased & we will be back

Kylie McNerlin

We stayed here for one night on our way to a further destination Very clean and practical Great location- within walking distance to many things

The shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in the bathroom was a nice touch The walls are thin, but that is expected with the age of the building My only (minor) complaint is the breakfast- it would benefit from some protein, even if hard boiled eggs Overall, we would absolutely stay again

Neesa S

Excellent stay, excellent property Character for days, and her staff are the friendliest people, they really make you feel they are invested in your stay We are combining our 30th anniversary and a family visit in Bangor PA

We have been warmly greeted noting our special occasion They went a bit extra also Okay, the room is clean and very adequate, no odors of any kind and the beds plus pillows make for a restful sleep We are on the side not main street I believe that makes a difference in how quiet our room is Housekeeping is outstanding, the continental breakfast is very thoughtful The young lady working that offering is on top of it, an amazing human Helpful in every way We will stay here every time we return to this areaLove the Penn Stroud, we so appreciate you!

Amazing place for kids My 5 and 3 year old had an absolute blast Not sure if it was timing or not but there were just enough people there

Food options were pretty limited and to be honest not the greatest, but there are always options outside of the resort The activities and shows they have in the lobby for children are great My girls especially enjoyed the yoga The water park was great The kiddie areas were perfect! I would definitely recommend this place for a nice weekend trip especially if you have younger children

Carlington

First, our kids had a blast, which is what we wanted The staff was friendly and unusually kind They smiled at all times and our requests were handled promptly

I would recommend them for a great family getaway Let’s just say my kids wanted to stay there and we had to let them know next time we will stay longer Oh, and the food was good toothey loved mostly the water park, they could not get enough Overall, we had a great time

some guy in jersey

The hotel itself is nice They manage to pull off the rustic look and The rooms are nice but sparsely furnished

We had a kid cabin room and the kids loved having their own area with their own TV even though we didn’t spend much time in the room except to sleep This is a place for kids and as long as you’re not expecting anything like the Beverly Hills Hylton you won’t be disappointed The food selection is pretty basic and pretty much everything on site shuts down between 8-10pm so there’s no night life to speak of on premisesThe water park itself is very nice and well maintained It’s clean and there’s lots of lifeguards around watching the kids and maintaining order The kids absolutely loved it and we had to pry them out of the water every dayIn all I’d say that our experience was great with the exception of the last night when we had people over us that were just plain ignorant letting what sounded like a couple of big kids run around and jump off the beds This went on until I finally went down to the front desk at 1:30am (no short walk from our room) I had called down at 1230am to no avail but after going down it stopped around 1:45 but my wife was so mad she didn’t get much sleep that nightIn all I’ll give it 4 stars because my kids had a great time and that’s why we went

To be honest I was little skeptical when I pulled into the parking lot but after checking in this place was amazing Yes it is little bit dated compared to like a best Western but that adds to the charm of it The staff was nice and extremely helpful hell the chef for breakfast came right up to our table and asked what we would like

Each stay includes a free breakfast like an actual breakfast made by a chef Plus on property there so many things to like the pool, tennis, even various hiking trails Unlike a standard hotel most of the rooms are there own separate build so at night its like your drive through a little village I loved it and most likely will be coming back

Joycelyn Sabree

This place is absolutely adorable! Really nice weekend getaway for couples It has a country, rustic feel, which is nice from all the modern day fix ups Very clean and the staff is amazing and so friendly

Terrible place! Do not send your loved ones there! They do not work with parents on your loved ones treatment plan, unable to see or visit, and care was been subpar based on my daughters feedback Treatment is not geared towards mental health and staff do not engage family members with their loved ones, and in fact deny their stay or hang up on Amenities aside, the ultimate goal is to stabilize

The Water Gap Wellness Inn will always have a really special place in my heart It provided everything possible to make my stay as comfortable as could be Some of my favorite parts were the fire pit, the swimming pool, the luxurious rooms and bathrooms, and of course Gracie (the cutest dog ever!!) Excellent experience The room is really nice, the employees are all really friendly and helpful The casino had a good mix of games

The pool is beautiful and the pool bar was the best bar in the place The food was really good to, my only complaint was the pizza place The pizza was tasty but it took FOREVER because there was a long line and only one woman working there I give her credit though because she worked her butt off and I don’t fault her for the wait We’re definitely looking forward to coming back

Had a great time The hotel and casino were both very clean Great shower (but would have loved a tub)

Like most reviews I’ve read about this resort, it will get 4 stars because of the lack of a mini fridge in the room (this should be a standard amenity nowadays), and the prices of the mini bar items Most nice hotels now provide a few complimentary bottles of water, but if you wanted the water in this room it cost $7! Yikes Checkout was smooth, staff very friendly, valet was surprisingly quick Overall we would definitely stay again, but I hope they get on par with the fridge situation

Went on a Sunday between 12:30-3pm Most all table games including Craps, Roulette, and Three card poker were $5 minimum (Blackjack $15 minimum) That was a very pleasant surprise

The dealer at 3 card (Christopher) was very enjoyable and fun to play with As long as the table games are affordable, I will continue to come back Very satisfied with my previous visit (8/7/22)

We were in town today to pick up our daughter from International Gymnastics Camp and our 2 sons tomorrow from International Sports Camp so we stayed here due to being less than 20 minutes away from the camps this is by far one of the lowest standard hotels I have stayed in For the price this hotel is very below the Hilton standards I have stayed in to become a Gold Member I was allowed to check in early thanks to the young lady at the front desk this morning but was not greeted as a honors member at all

Now the problems:this hotel has no microwave in the room at least oursHotel feels and looks outdated especially the gym with the leaking ceilingThere was no sweet shop visible to purchase snacks/drinks only saw a couple of soda machines on the floorsThe refrigerators in the room did not get coldThe carpet in the room was dirty as you can see spots and the bathroom was not cleaned wellThe doors have a gap where you can see light and the hallwayThe tv is a joke super small for 2022/the remote didn’t work half the timeThere was no visible workstation with the standard desktop and printer Hilton usually offers in the hotelsThe hotel is tucked away in a residential neighborhoodThe evening shift the lady and the guy tonight we’re to busy laughing and joking to acknowledge the guestWill probably skip breakfast in the morning due to how this hotel feelsSave your money and go to the other Hilton it looks more modern online
