Ok Breakfast was barely worth eating-no eggs, all carbs & they didn’t have a cook to see after things Had to ask the girl at front desk to restock butter, jelly, fruits etc

Enjoyed the pool Would probably pay a bit more for a nicer hotel next time

Stacy Tuhn

One of the worst Hilton Suites that I have stayed at Room was not clean Hair in the shower and in the fridge

There was a quarter roll of toilet paper and paper towels upon arrival Had to call the front desk for more and they brought 1 roll Carpet is dirty and caused foot steps on the tile floor in the kitchen area after walking on it No ice bucket and had none available at front desk Staying 2 weeks for work – surfaces are sticky and definitely not the typical Hilton experience

Christina Belleta

Had to travel here last minute for family Stayed for almost a week Chose this area because of what was around & slightly newer area

It wasn’t far from McAllen, Donna or other cities in the Valley Super easy check in on the app & when we arrived, Leo was very welcoming He shared with us everything that the hotel has/offers Pet friendly was huge! We were able to get whatever we were needing in our room daily House keeping was great & very kind The rooms were a perfect size For two adults & medium size dog It had everything we needed Leo made sure he checked on us & helped me with checking out The staff here are very kind & welcoming The hotel is nice & clean Nice breakfast Clean laundry facility & gym Good grass areas to walk your dog, as well as dog station on the side for poop bags/trash We were very happy with our stay & will stay here again when we come back to visit!

Upon arrival I was told my price and was told the deposit was added with the price then another girl and manager told tell me the deposit wasn’t add I don’t mind paying a deposit I wasn’t informed about so I paid the deposit after a little of a hour of them saying no it’s not a deposit and yes it is This was a after driving 6 hours

Get in the room the towels are yellow not white I was told it had a stove but didn’t , the refrigerator was nasty the walls had food on them The closet had a curtain as the door the curtain has food stains on it They had to call to the hotel beside them to come clean the room that’s sad At the hotel almost 4 house and still not settled in The worst hotel The sad part is the manger left When it was check out time I was charged the wrong price that should have been nothing Never again I wouldn’t care if they gave me a week free I wouldn’t dare stay at that location

Not very happy at the moment I booked using Priceline and had solidified my room When I met with front desk during check-in, they charged me again, and again

Total of about $808 just for (2) days Then I asked about it and they said they had to wait for the manager to get back Supposedly they were going to fix it the next day… well no the manager called in for being away, then agin that they couldn’t come in I get it… you use the excuses not to come in sounds like a employee making excuses I want me refund!! Plus i’m a Titanium Elite member and I got screwed

I asked for two queen beds and a roll in shower for disable son they had us in a room with a tub which I could not use so they moved us to a room with a rolling shower which was better but smaller beds for size this time The shower was a roll in but the shower handle to switch from showerhead to hand held was way too high I barely could reach it handicap people can’t reach that high up I did not appreciate having to move from room to room with two handicap boys

Easily accommodated our big group with short notice It’s close enough to the church which is good Complimentary breakfast was included which had enough variety for everyone

The suite was large and clean They are also wheel chair accessible A down sides was that, the hair dryer kept shorting out and some of the others in the others rooms were not even working Overall though we had a good experience

Christi Webb

I wanted to self-checkin with a digital key I had to go to the front desk for them to see my ID The man at the front desk that helped me was very nice

When I tried to use the digital key to open exterior doors, it did not work, and I had to walk to the front to get inThe room was a little out dated but not bad Turned on the TV and there was a line through the TV so it was hard to watch Woke up in the middle of the night to pee and a roach was in the bathroomIn the morning, I told the staff at the front desk about the TV They stared at me, waited a few seconds, then said “I’m sorry” I said you probably want to write it down so I don’t get charged or so you can put a new one in the room They said, “Oh, that’s a good idea” I then told them about the roach Same thing they looked at me for a few seconds then said “I’m sorry” Basically they did not care nor were they going to do anything about thisWish I could say it was a 42 star experience but it was not Would not stay here again

Tim Murphy

Beware of room 126 suite, with the volume on the TV you must get up out of bed and try to find the right button to turn it up The A/C was loud, the bed has full size pillows on a king bed, and they only give you two towels that is only enough for one girl If you want to stay at a Hampton go to Weslaco down the road

The only reason it got 2 stars is because the bed is comfortable

This hotel is central to the highway and where i needed to go There are 3+ restaurants within walking distance, plenty of parking I wish it wasn’t windy otherwise I would’ve used the pool which is a good size

There is even mini-golf on the side of the building When I went, there were alot of National Guard folks staying in the hotelMy room was suite with a king bed I loved the blackout curtains I loved the wooden flooring and tile flooring in the bathroom (i feel like carpet at hotels look and feel kind of dirty) There was a mini kitchen with full size fridge, an area for me to eat and work Really enjoyed my room and got good night’s restI needed a receipt for check =out and forgot but i called they answered right away and got me what i needed asap I really appreciated that!Pros: speedy check in, great staff, free breakfast and dinner, free beer Great gym with enough equipment to get a good workout in Full bar, gorgeous lobby Housekeeping doesn’t come in, unless you ask Good, because it’s more sustainableCons: you could hear all conversations in the hallway but luckily it was quiet at 10PM, dinner wasn’t that healthy

We had an awesome 9 night stay here! I’ve never stayed in a hotel that smelled so well It smells like Coach Poppy perfume, but not overpowering The beds and pillows were very comfortable, house keepers always on their A-game, front desk was very helpful in navigating the area, the rates were very reasonable, and the breakfast selection was one of the largest I’ve seen

The food was definitely above average for hotel breakfast The entire property was clean and quiet They also offer shuttle service not just to the airport, but anywhere in a 5 mile radius Property is in a fantastic location as far as being close to everything 10/10 recommend staying with them!

Juan Chavez

First time here and absolutely loved it! Will book here for future visits Continental breakfast was splendid with great variety Rooms were wonderful as well as cleaning staff

Only issue I had was the crib I requested at time of booking was not there and also not brought to room when I requested at front desk but we made it work on the king size bed with son sleeping on couch bed which he preferred anyways

This is my 3rd time staying here and overall have enjoyed it very much The breakfast is always amazing Although could do a better job at ensuring tables are cleaned

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the parking Every single time I have stayed here, there is only one entrance and exit All other areas are blocked off by a metal fencing barrier It is extremely annoying having to drive around trying to find the entrance Which is always at the back of the hotel and not at the front I know it also isn’t a thing they only do at night because we arrived for check in 3pm and all areas were blocked off except an area in the back of the hotel I don’t know if they have a towing policy in place, but I assume they do this in order to prevent people, who are not guests, from parking there However, it is such an inconvenience for your guests If that is the case, why not implement a parking policy where guest are given a paper to put on the dash and others can be towed I don’t understand why else the entrances would be blocked off Also seems like a safety risk if there were to be an emergency! Overall my stays are always great and quiet This is the only issue

William Ryan

BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! Highly recommend this place The front desk staff were amazing, breakfast was outstanding and free happy hour was great! Who doesn’t like free beverages and snacks!?? Stephanie W

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling for business or pleasure The staff are so friendly and helpful, they really made my stay extra special Juan, Robert, Ricky, Paola, Gabby, Desma, Shelly, and the breakfast grill chefs always have a smile and always ready to serve you

The happy hour in the lobby from 5-7:30 is FANTASTIC!!!! I can’t say enough about this place, and will never stay anywhere else while I’m traveling

Upon check-in, we noticed there were a lot of fans running constantly in the lobby, I am assuming it was due to some flooding We were told checking in would take longer since there were still cleaning the room; this took an extra 45 minutes of waiting in the lobby with those load fans When we arrived to the room, it was very humid

yet cold which is interesting The carpeted floors were very damp and it became apparent at night since a very dank smell started to take over the room other minor issues were that the extra sheets had some stains on them so I assumed they were dirty and could not use them The tap water did not look too good and had a murky off-white color to it The continental breakfast was supposed to run until 9:30am but when we arrived at 9am, everything was gone None of us really got to try that out which was disappointing We called front desk and our complaints were “noted” but no action taken Overall I would say my experience here was disappointing and not a good look for Marriott

Israel Morales

Average place, all the people I needed to interact to was not kind at all, seemed to be not comfortable with the job or something Found about 3 hairs on the tub, manageable but disgusting Also felt bad when having breakfast, there is a person serving, only got a small plate, I’ve asked for a little bit more but she told me the breakfast was for all the guests, she offered me a bagel instead

Leslie Von Der Ahe

I can’t express how much I enjoyed staying at Townsuites by Marriott, off Trenton The staff are like family The Border Patrol also stays there and I met so many wonderful people and hung out by the pool, bar and outside patio

Casey’s food truck was so convenient The guys did fish fries, crawfish boils and potluck! I lol go back just to hang out in the bar with Cody who is a superstar Alex, Leroy, Corbin and so many other staff members are amazing!!! Thank you for all your support!!!

I can’t give zero stars Let me preface this by saying the property did offer me a different room, but since the room I was offered also smelled of mold, I declined I was hoping maintenance would do something about the smell the following morning

It was the following morning I found the cockroachFront desk clerk Robert was extremely rude And the manager could not care less I did tell her that I would write a review, she found my comment amusing and told me to do what I needed to do So here’s the review

daniel espino

Robert, the person ant the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful we were traveling with our kid with autism and after we checked in we were listening to him laughing with someone else about Kyle our Son, we decided to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else, really disappointed about Marriott and their employees I will never stay again at this property that makes fun of kids with mental disabilities

This was the best La Quinta we have ever stayed at! First of all, the entire staff was friendly and helpful Our room was very clean The entire hotel was spotless

The mattress was comfy The hotel was in the perfect location And last but not least…the breakfast was PHENOMENAL! The staff member who was in charge of breakfast every morning was so nice, polite, and also very helpful with whatever we requested We will definitely be staying here again!

DM L

Just ok The room we were first given had a bed that looked like someone had been laying down in it, it was rumpled with the pillows still showing someone’s head print there The other bed was made up so you could see the obvious difference

I went immediately to get another room which I was given without a fuss, but no apologies or anything just ok, here’s another room He was a young kid so I didn’t expect much anyway at least he wasn’t rude about itThe new room was ok, the rooms are very small and really don’t look much like the photos on line Definitely not the same nice bedspreads used The ones actually used looked faded but they were clean (I hope) We had everything we needed for the one night stay even had a tiny fridge I didn’t like the towels most of them seemed old and beige not white A few were ok I used those But for overnight it was ok The pool area looked nice and the breakfast in the morning was really good so that made up for a lot

The rooms were spotless and very nice Service was amazing, though one guy did kind of come in to drop something off I’d requested without checking, caught my wife unawares He didn’t know I wasn’t staying alone

But they provide pots and pans and a hot plate for free if you ask Other than the outdoor pool needing a good cleaning, everything was fantastic

Edgar Hernandez

I was greeted with a “yes” by the front desk person The location is great and close to restaurants Clean rooms, breakfast was also good

Loved the app, it function as a key to be able to open doors Pools was Ok, needed some cleaning Again, 2 stars for the service, front desk needs to learn some customer service and manners Other than than it was great

Then, we suddenly needed to stay two additional nights but the suite we were in had already booked so they gave us a room right across the hall so moving over would be easy We had need to interact with the desk staff who were great! Brianna, the bartender, was super friendly and crafted special drinks for us, then recommended a great place for dinner We needed to use the laundry room since we hadn’t planned for 3 nights and were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary laundry soap and dryer sheets in a super clean laundry room Then, circumstances required us to need another late check out and they were quick to accommodate Great Job Hilton Garden Inn, McAllen!

This wasn’t a bad hotel experience, but there was room for improvement Some of the negatives:-Some of the facilities seems older and outdated, such as the tub drain that took a decent amount of work to open up-There were small cracks in the paint and stains on the carpet

-When I arrived in my room, I had to manually pull the mini-fridge out from the cabinet to plug it into the wall-Every ice machine in the hotel was out of orderOn the other hand, some of the positives:-Fairly clean and comfortable room-Pleasant staff, including the front desk, the bar, and housekeeping-Solid internet-Good location if you’re visiting the areaOverall, I would recommend this hotel, but I don’t think it should be a #1 pick Instead, I think it serves as a perfect backup option
