I liked the room a lot It had been updated with nice furnishings and the sheets were nice and soft I liked that there was a hair dryer

However, the housekeeper opened my door to clean the room while I was still in bed It was 9:15 am and checkout is not until 11am Please verify that the customer has checked out I needed the extra hour of sleep!

Such an unexpectedly great stay The rooms were pristine They had delightfully scented shampoo, soap, conditioner and lotion

A full mini fridge with freezer compartment and a coffee machine The continental breakfast had eggs, bacon, home fries, 2 waffle makers, 3 types of cereal, breads and bagels with toasters and toppings, yogurts and muffins, fresh fruit and even individual almond milks Coffee and syrups and creamers too We always look to stay places that are cheaper, and this was exactly that but with all the amenities of a more expensive hotel Great stay

Waldenwoods Resort is the perfect fit for a couple seeking an elegant and romantic lake wedding As a wedding photographer who got married at Waldenwoods, I can’t say enough great things about this incredible venue and their thoughtful staff! I am forever grateful that the event director, Anne, and her team went out of their way to bring out vision to life and create the most successful wedding experience for us They provide exceptional food service and unique ceremony sites, so you can plan your wedding timeline without stress! For your wedding photography, there are so many portrait locations to choose from

All in all, there is no doubt that this is an iconic wedding venue in Southeast Michigan I would highly recommend Waldenwoods to all couples!

I just bought a camper, had a 14 day free pass if we scheduled a tour So I did

Me and my boyfriend drove out there lady at the gate was welcoming and pointed us in the correct direction to get to the main building where they do toursWe arrived over a hour early due to Us being at another campground and leaving that one earlierCampground and lake looked beautiful, I was excited to tour this facilitySo I went in to check in for our tour When I walked into the tour building I immediately got a nasty look from the lady at the front desk when I answered her questions she still continued to look at me with the same dirty look She handed me a sign in sheetAfter filing it out my boyfriend took it back in and her attitude immediately changedWe both agreed that first impression means the most, and I felt unwelcomed from the moment I walked in , so we decided to leave and not continue the tourAs nice of a facility this looks, staff needs to be more welcoming

Showed up for tour for 14 day free no obligation camping offer after purchasing RV from a dealer that shall not be named After nearly being harassed with multiple phone calls to schedule tour, I showed up only to be turned away becuase my wife was not present This “requirement” was not made known beforehand

Not sure what kind of scam this place is trying to run but what little I saw driving to the sales office, this place looks like an RV dealer parking lot as the sites are litterally on top of one another Roads in not maintained at all, not sure if that is an indicator of the rest of the amenities since they thing they could offer was reschedule another tour Going to take a firm pass on any place that chases away potential customers before even making a sales pitch A sour ending to bad RV dealer experience Skip this place, Michigan has many beautiful State parks and I presume much cheaper than this place Should have read some reviews beforehand

I stayed here for a wedding, I was the only one in my group who stayed at this hotel because I had Marriott points while the others stayed at the nearby and less expensive Holiday Inn Express Compared to the Holiday Inn Express, this hotel seemed much more modern and well put together Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly

I didn’t go into the pool area because there wasn’t a hot tub I had a two queen bed room which was spacious The bathroom was really nice and big as well All in all I’m happy I stayed here This hotel lived up to the quality expectations the Marriott family of hotels brings

Bouzy Flower

Kenneth/Kenny made sure to let the people above me know they were being too loud when I requested if something could be done after hearing them for over two nights/days It ceased almost immediately, very grateful Otherwise, all other staff are welcoming and accommodating

Breakfast provided is substantialThank you for having a great staff

Highly recommend! Great staff checking in and taking care of us later! Jaida at the front desk was so personable and kind! You can tell people here take pride in their jobs! The breakfast was great The rooms were very clean and updated We had our dog with

The pet fee is higher than other places, but they obviously take care to make sure you can’t tell it’s pet friendly Thanks for a great stay on our way through!

A Diamond in the rough! 5 night stay, and we are 3 nights in today Very SLIGHT cosmetic issue with assigned room at Check in, but Montavios (front desk attendant) got it resolved in a HUGE and very accommodating way! Hotel is clean and has a “well maintained” feel! Breakfast is a HIT everyday and Geri is just the best! All the staff here is very warm, and attentive acknowledging each guest entering and exiting Not to mention this is a GREAT location with quick to lots

At a time when COVID seems to have given companies a pass to push GOOD customer service out of the window, this stay has been a breath of fresh air! Keep up the good work Hampton Inn!!

Ashton Moses

Where do I start? The bathroom in the room was absolutely disgusting It appeared to not have been cleaned after the last guest There was hair and urine behind the toilet seat on the back of the toilet

Which also makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the building and rooms However, that was not the only issue The staff was beyond rude and unprofessional upon speaking to them This facility needs a reality check on every level What once was a nice place definitely needs some work before considering returning

My boyfriend and I just wanted to get away and have a relaxing weekend The only 2 good things we liked about our stay was there was a whirlpool in our pool and a fireplace Now here are the issues:1

We didn’t like how the floor was wet when we first entered the room by the whirlpool, and maintainance never came to see what the issue was like we were told he would the next day2 Didn’t like how we put “make this room up” for the housekeepers, but when we get back at night not only was our sign flipped to “privacy please” the room isn’t done The funny part about that story is when we left there were two housekeeper chatting away with each other right by our door3 Didn’t like how the day of check-out the housekeeper comes knocking on our door practically 2 hours early waking us up, and check-out is at 11AM We checked and they do receive a check-out list so the housekeeper can’t say they didn’t know4 Last but not least, we get to our car after check-out and have a piece of paper on our car saying “only employees and owners are allowed to park here” There is NOTHING warning that the parking spaces are reserved No spray paint on the parking space or sign Which I think is funny about this whole thing because we have parked in that area the night before, and did not receive a letterNext time we want to have a relaxing weekend we know where NOT to go

Morris Hill

Stay was very nice Breakfast attendant was very nice and service and food was plenty for us and everything was hot and ready Had sausage, eggs, and biscuits on Saturday and on Sunday we had bacon, eggs, sausage and gravy biscuits and everything was clean and kept kitchen attendant was not there this morning because family emergency

There was not any hot food and service was not the same

Leta Arnold

ADA room but not very ADA friendly in the bathroom Had all the safety stuff except when taking shower it floods the bathroom even with 2 drains They did not do the roll in shower correctly and so the water runs out of the area into rest of bathroom

Not enough towels to lay down on floor so don’t slip, nor enough to dry off with Mold in shower, toilet VERY slow flushing Liquid stains all over chairs Not much of a breakfast However some of the staff were very helpful and very nice

Visited for the first time (having moved to Fenton almost 2 years ago), on the recommendation of some “car guys” at the Thursday Night-Linden Car Show! Hotel Burger was PHENOMENAL! Who would have thought that green olives on a burger would make such a delicious combination to a bacon mushroom burger?! We also had the Fish (pollock) and Chips

very good I would “pass-it-on” and tell anyone looking for a great meal, for a reasonable price, to stop in at the Linden Hotel bar and grill!!!

This is a local hole-in-the-wall kind of place with a separate bar and dining area The building is old and shows its age, but there’s a lot of history behind it The ladies who work behind the bar and waiting tables are friendly and always offer great service

I always choose one of the entrees on the list of daily specials, and never regretted it However, none of us care for the salads, which just don’t seem as fresh as they could be They have the Game Show channel running on TV all day, and the volume is often cranked up in the bar, so choose a table in the dining area if you want a quiet vibe Still, we like bringing our business to a local historic restaurant Give them a try
