Would choose 25 if it was an option 1st room, door latch screws fell off they moved us next door but the 2nd bathroom definitely had a smoker before so we closed it off

The hot tub was also roped off the whole time I may not have left a review but on Sunday they locked the door for breakfast at 9:35 even though the times posted on the door said Sunday breakfast would be open until 10 The breakfast area was nice

Crystal Rae

We had a late check in it was me and an 18m old baby After getting all checked in I went up to the room turned the air on and got my baby down and about an hour goes by and there isn’t any cool air coming in from AC went down to front desk cause front desk button was missing from the phone and no one was around Morning came and I called down there from my mobile the lady on the phone was super nice said they would make adjustments to my bill

The bedding was also white with stains all over and the baby’s feet were black from dirty carpet So I go to check out mind you I’ve been there a total of 7 hours tops the front desk girl was extremely rude asking why I wouldn’t wait for the front desk person to return at 1 am ? I said I have a small child sleeping can’t leave him long She was very rude and wasn’t understanding at all They tried to credit me $30 bucks for having ZERO cool air and a dirty room After asking for management she said no one but her could help me There was also supposed to be breakfast set up I never seen any food Very disappointing I will never recommend this place for the price got to motel 6 for 100 less and the same quality

Came here to camp the night before starting the Condor Trail and I’d go to great lengths never to make that mistake ever again Small cramped sites and no enforcement of noise issues even well after quiet hours left us listening to blaring music and large groups yelling even after midnight Large sections of the campground were packed wall to wall with tents

If you don’t mind all of that it did have pay showers and laundry in the bathrooms

Space

Went here for my first camping experience A medium amount of land with plenty of camping lots Lots aren’t very big, only about two medium/large tents fit alongside a car or two

It’s a bit difficult to navigate the area at night, however if you are having trouble finding your lot, look to the road floor for the lot numbers There is no signal which can be seen as a plus or negative depending on how you prefer to camp There are available bathrooms, showered, and clothes washers/dryers available for use Only the bathrooms are free, everything else requires quarters to use Each camping lot has a fire pit Bring everything you might need, the closest store is a small liquor store which only sells food and drinks The lake is good for fishing, not so good for swimming There is also a makeshift oath alongside the right of the lake Overall a good time and good utilities

Melissa Ochoa

Camp ground was pleasant and huge we stayed with full hookups there’s only a few of these spots

Nice drive,no service area but they offer wifi as for the lake it wasn’t what I expected the beach area is small and it was windy so it kinda made it more an of a drag to sit there with the kiddos and enjoyRangers are always on duty and can help find your spot when you arrive afterhour’s

i booked for two nights and on my second night i asked to extend for another two nights I was told that the room type (double queen) i had was booked and that they had a king bed room available I agreed to book that room, which meant i would have to check out of my room at 11am and then wait until however long it would take for the other room to be ready to check in ( which they said they couldn’t estimate for me)

So i asked if i can just switch to that other room now to avoid all of that the next morning I was told no The reason given was that the two rooms are not the same room types – although the price difference between the room types was $3 During this entire conversation both Gustavo and Alexander were rude and had zero empathy They gave short answers without any explanation These two need a lot of customer service training and should not have jobs in hospitality until properly trained

First off the room was $168 after taxes Only stayed because we visited family When me and my son checked into room upstairs facing the pool 945pm

I always check the rooms in case of anything wrongSoon as I checked the restroom there was a cockroach the size of thumb in tub We of course left The manager called me the next Monday She offered full refund which was standard issued We had to stay at a quality inn I wanted her to pay the difference of $30 which she didn’t Manager actually said most hotels would’ve only given you half back Really unprofessional I told her I was about to write my review but she didn’t care I guess Poor management skills Could’ve avoided a bad review if u would’ve just made me fell like she cared I will never stay at a motel 6 I’m writing this review to let customers know the headache this was for me

We woke up and our room was completely flooded Management was in no hurry to accommodate the problem Our clothes were soaked

They couldn’t even offer anywhere to wash them We were able to dry our clothes that was all they did You could tell from the water damage that they had this problem often They could care less about there customers Btw the flooded rooms are 240 139 239

You certainly get what you pay for My fiance stayed for a few moments in this room After looking at the condition of the MOLD on the curtains, toothpaste and hair in sink, fecal matter in the toilet, and black mold stains in the tub! After reporting it to Alma, the manager, she stated the room was in good shape and didn’t offer a refund

I have pictures and reported it to the corporate office! Don’t stay at this trash motel! You get what you pay for!!!

Not bad a bad place to stay Rooms and furniture are dated Location was decent, you are 25 min from ventura Beach

One nice surprise was our tour of downtown Fillmore museum It is full of great history and an amazing tour Highly recommend tiuring the downtown fillmore area Another nice perk is that this property is walking distance to a super market, dollar tree and laundry Also, the beds are very comfortable However, I would not stay here again

Sage Jessica

I have had the WORST experience with customer service over my stay at this hotel I was charged the full amount TWICE when I checked in I finally have the charges fall off , only to be charged the incorrect amount when I checked out

When I called and talked to the front desk , she said ” oh okay let me refund the amount” nope she charged my card AGAIN! When I said ” you charged me again !!??” she said they are having problems with their ” new ” POS system and basically oops The money is still missing from my account and am still in shock at the poor customer service I will NEVER stay at a Best Western or affiliate again beware

Andrea Talmadge

I recently booked a room for my daughter who was traveling to San Diego from Washington State for work It was a last-minute booking so I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get a room for her and uncertain if the hotel was decent The representative at the hotel was more than helpful and set me up very quickly

After arrival my daughter contacted me and had nothing but good things to say about her experience, especially the orange tree’s that were abundant The staff were courteous, the room and hotel were clean, it was quiet with very little noise, and although they were following Covid protocol the breakfast choices were great The only reason for the four stars was due to difficulty getting the TV internet to work, which was remedied by a helpful staff member Apparently, there was a wire that needed a little gentle persuasion to work The second was the two free loading crickets that snuck into the room Yep, actual crickets, not the other well know insect They eventually left on their own accord Overall it was a good experience

I will absolutely keep coming back here due to how well the hotel is kept and the hospitality of the staff at the front desk I love how clean the rooms are and how close it is to stores and shopping outlets It makes for a great time during any kind of getaway

They also provide a microwave for guest in a common area, mini fridge in the rooms and vending machines near the office

E B

I don’t suggest staying here simply because they don’t have reliable or standard internet After about 3 hours of being dropped from the spotty connection every half minute we finally gave up, which is a shame, because we work remotely and need the internet It might work for you on a different side of the building but you most likely will not be paying for the ability to get online

If you pay for a hotel room at least get the amenity of an Internet connection It wasn’t too bad otherwise but the microwave plate was heinous and we had to sanitize it Had to go out to Starbucks to get online and get my work done Not worth the rate when this is the frustrating case

HELEN BROOKS

This Motel 6 is right of the 118 (which does mean you can hear the traffic but we didn’t mind) with a Von’s grocery store and Starbucks walking distance across the street The rooms had a table attached to the wall with one chair and an almost restaurant style bench in the corner The bed was comfortable but there were only two pillows for our queen bed and no additional blankets in the room (we did not inquire about getting another pillow or blanket, just dealt with it so I am unsure if they would have been able to provide more if asked)

There was no hair dryer or iron/ironing board, but we managed as we traveled with a hair dryer just in case and I went to the next door property (Holidays Inn Express) where a family member was staying to iron a dress Our room did not have a working light in the bathroom (wasn’t the lightbulb, seemed like an electrical short) but we were unwilling to move rooms and just did our bathroom business in the dark or using our cell phone lights We told the front desk about the bathroom light and they were willing to move us immediately but we had settled in already and decided to stay put They were kind enough to allow an additional 30 minutes to extend our check out time which was helpful (it was Father’s Day Weekend and they could not provide more time understandably) We would stay here again as our needs were met

Was visiting family in the area and this location was perfect for us The room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing The pool and spa were nice as well

We ended up staying an extra night and Alex at the front desk was so great to work with and helped us with the extra night We enjoyed the breakfast every morning as well We would stay here again

Cheryl Mccoy

My son and I stayed here for a mini vacation to Universal Studios – and it was GREAT!! The staff was very friendly and the overall vibe was super cool We enjoyed one day sitting poolside with drinks and invited local friends to dine with us The food was yummy and they had a Gluten Free menu – so I had plenty of GF choices and didn’t have to worry! This is a very cute boutique hotel and I would definitely stay here again!!

Bryan Shaw

My room was paid through the day At 0715 in the morning, I could not gain access to my room I told the front desk, but I was told that I had to make a payment so I could get back in my room to get my things so I could go to work

As a military member, or cards come overdue quickly sometimes I understand that the hotel needs to get paid, but at 0715, and I am forced to make a payment to collect my equipment so I can go to work seems a bit of a stretch I could have easily gone to my base, explained what was going on, then returned prior to the official checkout time to get things straightened out But I was strong-armed to make a payment before that could happen

Some of the rooms are good, others not so much For instance, in one of them there were some bugs Some of the staff are a bit on the warmer side, while others will make you wonder if they are going to find a reason to throw you out and keep your money

What really bothers me is the parking fee and in addition they charge it every day that you’re there, and this is a common practice among many hotels but it really should be illegal It maybe listed in whatever site that you are looking at but it’s definitely in the fine print, so you may want to double check to make sure you’ve read everything If you’re not aware of it it’s always a surprise when you check in and if you have a non refundable it’s not always convenient The breakfast is not free I just don’t suggest bringing any pets or animals with you in fact it’s confusing because on the website we booked through this hotel said they had a very strict no pets policy but then they let you bring your animals with no fee This hotel still has a good rate, but they could use some improvement and again the parking fee is troublesome There is no ventilation in the rooms and some of them have an albeit very strong smoky smell

Edward James Trovada

Place is way overpriced for what it is A very old, outdated hotel The rooms, carpet, and decor are clearly decades old

They charge $15 for their breakfast “buffet” which has less things in it than most hotels give you in complimentary breakfasts even what they did provide was mediocre at best, the oatmeal and the syrup were both watery, and the waffle maker was not well maintained if you want any kind of egg, potato, or meat, you have to pay extraTheir “restaurant” is a straight up dive bar, and the food there was, again, mediocre Heck, they even watered down the ranch that came with my onion rings, and my bbq bacon cheeseburger was completely falling apartThe service was hit or miss depending on who helped us at the front, but it was usually an attitude of making us feel stupid for things I asked where the restaurant was for the drink coupons I had and to utilize my $25 credit for food The front desk person told me I have to go outside and around the corner to the bar like it was obviousno lady, what is obvious is the area marked “restaurant” would he where I’d go to get foodEvery time I think I’m sufficiently lowering the bar enough for expectations, something else keeps lowering it more

Richard Balko

This place was a bit priceyThe room I stated and could have been much cleaner If they lowered the price I would stay there again

I’m so glad to be out of Southern California All citizens in California are being burned over prized for items Needed to live on Gasoline prices are insane The cost of living there is out of sorts And overpriced Animal wage should be much higher This is what I meant earlier saying citizens of California in zip California are being ripped off

The Service from the Desk Agent Ryan was outstanding She helped with everything The room was excellent and very comfortable

You really couldn’t ask for more when your away from home The breakfast in the morning again not a typical free meal They offered just about everything you could want and it was served hot The coffee was great Will definitely be back! Thank You

alfonso torres

Stayed here 3 days with my coworker and autistic patient on his vacation and they were very accommodating to people with special needs including having handicap rooms available Location was clean and has complimentary coffee in the front and a restaurant and gas station all in the same section (very convenient) I did express a problem with from desk about our rooms not receiving house keeping in the morning (a bit upsetting)

The gentleman in the front did apologize about the situation and made an effort to correct the problem but was late by the time we got back to our room Rooms were spacious and clean when we first arrived Would definitely visit again

Tyler Burke

I’m currently here for business for an extended stay and when asked to get change to operate laundry facilities the front desk is unable to accommodate breaking a $20 bill to get the coins to operate the equipmentThe washer and dryer require $5 in change, per machine $10 in quarters per laundry

I initially asked to have $10 in change put on my card and then was told it could not be provided I was advised to walk to the gas station and to take cash out which I understood After returning back to the desk not 10 minutes later, with cash in hand, the individual i was speaking with is no longer at the desk and the other is unable to break the $20 bill so I can get $10 in quarters to do my laundryIf you have laundry machines that require change to be used you should have cash on hand for this exact reason Poor business and lack of organization clearly for your facilityI don’t recommend staying here for this reason and for the fact that none of the cleaning staff speak or understand english at all I requested a few items and they could not understand a single word that I said How do you have a job if you are not capable of communicating with the patrons? Is this a joke? Or is this just how California operates?

The park had some pretty decent camp sites with some full hookups Large grass area for all sorts of sport activities, horseshoe pits, along with a nice size playground and old school merry go roundBathroom by the playground grass area was very clean and no graffiti

You should be aware the gate is locked at 7:30 PM I’m only guessing to keep the local partiers outCamp host can let you out if need be

Deena S

Love this hidden gem to get away from the big city noise Found this place by accident as I was traveling through checking out silly tourist attractions & parks I absolutely adore the children’s blast from the past playground

Really brought back some memories of my childhood They don’t make them like that anymore When camping, it is dusty so bring clothes & shoes to get filthy in Also, in my opinion if you have lung issues it’s a good idea to just use the day use picnic area and pass on camping Speaking of lung issues, if you smoke, this is a 100% non smoking park Yay for healthy lungs! The park has amazing succulents & cacti, awesome trees, & lots of birds I took so many pictures Definitely coming back 😍

They had the best hotel free breakfast since covid They had a complete spread with super friendly staff, excellent Italian restaurant, beautiful courtyard, and a nice pool, jacuzzi and fire pits The rooms were also comfortable, nicely done and well stocked with things most don’t think of anymore, like mints on bed and shower caps

I’m glad we stayed here This isn’t the cheapest, but by far the best value for sure If we ever find ourselves in the area again, definitely spending the extra few bucks to stay there

Taylor Randall

The manager Sun has done a fantastic job of hiring and training the right people Every interaction we had, reception, maintenance, security, room service, hospitality, was near perfect Everyone was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous

I cannot overstate the quality of the personnel at this hotel They do a fantastic job, and it will show in all aspects of your stay Rooms were clean and tidy Pool area looked very nice (we did not use the pool) Breakfast burritos are on pointNote: This location has a 2nd floor, but no elevators If anyone in your party has a mobility concern I urge you to call ahead and make sure you can be on the ground floor I’m certain this team will make it happen for you

Mike Osthimer

Room was spacious as advertised if you could get in After numerous attempts the door would open if you rammed it at just the right spot Tried to notify the front desk but the room phone didn’t work so I called on my cell number

Temperature was warm so we turned the air on before leaving for dinner only to return to a hot room Went to use the jacuzzi but discovered it closes at 9:00 pm 3 stars is a fair rating for the hotel

Stayed in room 205 Small but perfect for a quick stay No mini fridge but there is a coffee maker and microwave

Wasn’t able to get the TV to work The bed is very comfortable and soft, the sheets are equally good The staff is super friendly and engaging with their guests Definitely recommend the restaurant attached to this place, well worth the price if you can afford it 10/10 will visit again!

milton guinses

The hotel was nice! It had a beautiful older rustic charm to it, the front desk by the name of Maribel was a freaking delight!!! She helped us feel welcome and walked us to the different rooms to see if it met our needs because we wanted a jacuzzi tub that fit the both of us even the ghosts were nice!🥴 (yes I think I saw one) will be back again if you go on Friday the vendor’s marketplace is awesomeness we picked up local honey and jam, cookies, bread, smoked cheese and candy and the restaurant inside the hotel was busy and quick and the locals all eat here so make sure you rsvp

The museum across the street is also nice This was a nice quaint low maintenance trip and look forward to doing again

There was a lamp in the corner but the bulbs were fluorescent 😬 my wife likes to read before bed, and the only light was the ceiling Maybe take out the large desk by the bed and center the bed, put in 2 nightstands and 2 lamps with soft light Easy fix Nice to have a fridge and microwave The staff was very friendly There was nowhere to hang clothes but 3 hooks on a wall I think that would be an easy fix also with a little rearranging, a small armoire would fit nicely We enjoyed the stay, and would stay again

4 shower towels in bathroom that all had other peoples hair in them among other stainsThe bed sheets also had stains in themThe lamp next to bed did not work

I would not come here unless you like dirty rooms They definitely need to update their cloth
