Absolute 5 star hotel! Every staff member from the front desk to housekeeping went above and beyond to provide a stellar guest experience The entire property from the parking lot all the way to the rooms are perfectly clean and spotless The guest rooms are spacious, clean and so cozy

The water pressure is great and the water gets nice and hot The beds are something you don’t even know you’re missing in your life until you sleep in one Absolutely the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in Also located in a prime spot with restaurants and stores nearby Overall, this is a property that is a must stay at if you are in the area You WILL NOT be disappointed

I enjoyed my stay here* the staff was nice all around* the room was decent I did not like the sink area, thought the faucet was to close to the sink and I like for my bathroom doors to lock* comfy room for the most part*breakfast was decent (waffles, grits, cereal, bacon, eggs, muffins, bagels, orange juice, apple juice, etc)* u can also buy snacks* one thing I didn’t like is asking for a late check out which would be 11:30

I just needed till 12 ya know I checked in at like 11 that night anyway but nonetheless, it’s understandableI would stay here again; oh and there is a Jamaican housekeeper …wish I got her name…she was very nice and I enjoyed her conversation

NeKesha A.

Honestly, it really was not a bad stay! I was expecting the worst however the front desk staff that checked us in had jokes! The morning staff was very friendly, the evening cookies made my daughters day and the breakfast was a great variety The room was nicely cleaned upon our arrival, they were able to supply the extra pillows we needed for the sleeper sofa and they also had the towels needed as well Overall, great locations, good rooms, nice staff – give them a try, we did! #noregrets

I really liked the area outside the pool with corn hole game The front desk said the cleaning staff is outsourced which I’m not sure is working well for them I’m glad we were on the first floor since I had to go to the front desk several times to get things the maid forgot to leave

On one of the days, the towels left were half dryed They were folded and on the rack but wet If I came back to the area, I’d probably look around to see what other choices there are Desk staff was friendly

chrystal gomez

When I walked in to the checkin counter the first thing I noticed was a fresh smell like essential oils The rooms we nice and clean I’m Very picky choosing hotels and I would stay here again

The breakfast was the only thing not up to par, we had to wait over 10 mins because when we came to eat at 8am there was no eggs or bacon We had to tell the lady it was empty before they started cooking more The eggs were not cooked all the way, ended up just going out for breakfast

This review is 3 months late! We had my rehearsal dinner here for my wedding in April! All the staff did such an amazing job! We had 48 people for the bridal party and family and we all fit relatively well on the outside area The food we had was Spanish style chicken or pork with rice and beans and a salad It was amazing, we even had leftovers to take home! I would highly recommend this location for rehearsal dinner, baby or bridal shower or any type of gathering under 50 people

Only wish is we would’ve had more time to enjoy the venue! Hope to stay at the bed and breakfast eventually!

It was a fairytale event!!! We used the Sparkman House Luxury Bed & Breakfast for my daughter’s bridal shower The place is incredibly beautiful and very well maintained You feel so important the minute you walk in

The owner/hostess, Theresa, was so helpful in the planning of the shower She gave us advice and helped us put together an incredible and memorable day for my daughter, from the guest list, arrangements of the tables, and an wonderful menu From the minute we walked in Theresa and the chef Serena were so helpful in moving us through the events of the day They were both so attentive to all of my guest Every guest kept telling me what an incredible place this was and that the food was so wonderful too I can’t say enough great things on how wonderful this place was and how happy my daughter was at her shower Thanks you Sparkman House for making my daughter’s bridal shower such a magical event!! If you have an event coming up and you need a great place to hold it, hands down give the Sparkman House a chance, you won’t regret it

Hayley Shields

My husband and I had a Spring wedding at The Sparkman House and it was absolutely magical Theresa made the entire process so easy and she was incredibly accommodating We planned the entire event from North Carolina and Theresa was there every step of the way to help us organize the wedding and work with us on special requests

The rooms for us and our guests were immaculate and the entire home is beautiful The floral arrangements and cake for the ceremony turned out even more stunning than I had hoped! I cannot thank Theresa enough for making my wedding so special and stress free Not to mention how delicious both breakfasts were! If you are looking for a truly 5⭐️ experience book your event at The Sparkman House!

Bathroom was dirty with hair all over the floor The toilet had yellow stains as it had not been cleaned A tag from another guests cloths was also on the bathroom floor

The glass shower door in room 228 is off track and loose Very dangerous to shower in Woke up Sunday morning to get a shower before traveling back home and there was no hot water So we could not shower before driving 6 hours back home Cleanliness of our room was poor Will not be back when traveling for work to this location

Warning *** I’m having a “Karen” moment! LolSummary- I like this hotel, a lot in fact The service is great, it’s very clean, quite comfortable but, it’s the little things that get meA little back story, my husband and I come to Tampa once a month

We live in Miami and my husband works remotely from home The company he works for, is based here in Tampa and he comes up for his monthly engineering meetings So, we’re here…a lot! LolLike I stated before, I like this hotel The beds are some of the best! The service is really impeccable The grounds are kept nice, they have a gym and an indoor heated pool, so even if it’s a wee bit cold out you can still have some good ole Florida fun! What I don’t like, and it really chaps my hide, 🤣 is the fact that you have to OVER pay for every little tiny thing here For instance, there’s no breakfast Like not even a muffin! There is really bad coffee in the room where they give you 2 sugars and 1 little powdered creamer Some of these little packages have napkins and stir sticks, some don’t Oh, and did I mention it’s really bad…like bad badAnd I know, a lot of people are going to nitpick at the fact that I’m rating them 3 stars because of coffee and breakfast, (I told you I was having a Karen moment) but the fact remains that when I spend $412 for 2 nights at a hotel, with minimal services (because they’ve laid off the majority of their employees so they don’t have to give daily housekeeping room checks, so they can pocket more profit and blame it on the pandemic! Oh yeah, I said it, go watch Adam ruins everything about Covid and Hotels!) I do expect a muffin or at least a dang cup of coffee to be freeThe odd part is, we’ve stayed at this hotel enough that when my husband and I went to Tulsa, OK for our kiddos wedding, I made sure to look for a Marriott Courtyard for us to stay in We encountered the same service, comfort and amenities but, they served a rather large and nice breakfast with coffees, juices, milks etcBut after this, after being charged $203 for a small cup of coffee, I think my husband and will be staying at the Hyatt up the road We were staying there for a while when we were making these trips and I decided, “why not shake it up and stay at the Marriott…”I think we’ll be going back Not for nothing but, they have an enormous breakfast and coffee bar! 😉

Tamira Sallee

Check in was horrible staff was rude Room was dirty dust every where and black mold on the pictrue in the bathroom A room that sleeps 4 but they did not provide any pillows for the pull out sofa and front desk said they were out

Only one working elevator that’s really did not work it would randomly pick floors to stop on and doors would not open all the way Very much not worth $175 a night

My husband and I stayed at the Strawberry House for the 1st time this weekend and we have nothing but good things to say The house was so clean and charming Maria is just precious! So friendly and welcoming! Made us feel right at “home”

We stayed in the “Strawberry Room” The accommodations were very nice Maria prepared a yummy breakfast and was very pleasant to visit with Definitely will stay here again!

Katie Singleton

I loved everything about this place Maria is the kindest woman I had forgotten to bring socks and asked her where the closest Walmart was, she went above and beyond

She had a brand new pair of pink socks that matched my outfit perfectly! She saved the day! The homemade food was delicious The theme was on point! So clean quiet and lovely Will be returning on our next trip to the Tampa area! Recommend for anyone wanting a little time to relax

Rob Karnis

With the complete collapse of the hospitality industry in Florida over March break (3 stars and less are unfit for human habitation while 4 stars and more are abusively over priced) we opted out of that mess and found this gemQuaint, clean, warm and welcoming, this affordable accomodation shines under Maria’s capable handsBreakfast was tasty, plentiful and enjoyable

no powdered donut and instant coffee here!Ask about their theme rooms

ALL Hotel staff is exceptionally polite, friendly and accommodating Grounds are well kept and clean Parking lot is well lit, and hotel is off by itself so no traffic or security concerns

Rooms, lobby, pool all in great shape and CLEAN! Patio is amazing with lots of furniture and umbrellas Stayed at another owned by this group last year Definitely setting the bar high for other Holiday Inns Rates were competitive with much lesser hotels in area Oh and a real hot breakfast every morning with a rotating menu Biscuits, sausage gravy, bacon, omelets, hot cinnamon rolls etc Plenty of dining options in close by as well

Amy Mansfield

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel It’s beautiful, convenient and super clean The best part is the staff, most notably the front desk staff

They are helpful, caring, compassionate and treat you like a guest and not a number I’m going through a very difficult time in my life and the front desk angels swooped in to help me I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative of them Definitely stay here if you’re looking for a 5 star experience for a 3 star price!

Zero Days

The hotel is quite nice, with many available amenities like laundry room, conference rooms, pool and spa, and a complimentary breakfast areaThe rooms were spacious, very clean, and for a small fee also pet friendly The furniture was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly

The location is advantageous in that it is right off the highway, though noise is a bit of an issue outside The view is nice as there are trees blocking the wider highway and some water featuresOverall it was a good place to stop and rest, highly recommended

My stay was a 10/10! I have to deduct 1 star just from partial cleanliness I did stumble across a roach upon room entry Once killed I didn’t see anymore so I chopped it up to just being a big building, however I’ve been to other hotels without any pests

Morning breakfast is AMAZING A cook to order option or a continental breakfast option The bar at night was also nice The bar tender was a cool guy and pleasant to deal withWill be returning to hopefully adjust to 5/5

Avi Satlow

The hotel is fine and meets my needs However, I am somewhat dissatisfied with these chain hotels eliminating certain amenities such as free breakfast (and charge $1095 for a very limited continental breakfast- no eggs, waffles, etc, without additional charge) and the unlimited 5-mile radius shuttle (now they only service specific locations due to corporate COVID policies)

If they charged half the cost then I would be writing a 4 or 5 star review Now I’m seriously rethinking staying at so called “upscale” hotel chains rather than lower star economy brands The only appeal to this hotel is the proximity to my law school; otherwise, would never in a million years pay $175/night or so (after tax) for this hotel

Jessica Connolly

Came here for a business meeting Very clean and welcoming upon walking in Bar on the side, not quite sure if it was an actual restaurant

Pool and fitness center located in the front The conference room was very nice and perfect for what we needed Fit about 30 people comfortably and it looked like they had a separator too so if you needed more space, it looked possible Great location if you’re from out of town; located near I-75 and the crosstown and anything you could possible need within 5 minutes

We had a room booked for this hotel and got notice our event was cancelled less than 5 hours before check in due to weather They had every right to slam us with an early cancellation fee even though it wasn’t exactly our fault However, the were understanding and waved the fee

We will absolutely book with them again when the event is rescheduled

Tim Rappoccio

10 pm loading a uhaul all day Just looking for somewhere nice to rest 120 a night

Website says 50 dollars non refundable pet deposit They told us 75 Plus airport fee plus city of Lakeland fee Might as well let us pay for electric and water too 260 plus extra fees including a convenience fee All we wanted to do was sleep 6 and a half hours and check out

Jessica Hall

The front fest guy was overly loud and brown nosing The pool was disgusting and a disgrace for the Hilton brand The guest were allowed to have their pizza box dang near floating in the whirlpool

Those same guest were in the pool and whirlpool with regular tennis shoes on and staff was serving them, noticing it! I was the only person with a mask on and Florida residents have one of the highest cases of Covid19 in the country! The room wasn’t as clean as overtly expressed! Hilton has really lost its touch with modernization, cleanliness perception, and representation! I truly expected better as I’ve ALWAYS bragged and prided being a HH member!

This hotel is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! The staff was kind, the room and the pool were clean, the facilities were extraordinary, the terrace garden was amazing! It was relaxing just to sit back at the terrace in the middle of green trees and flowers It makes you feel like you’re blending in the nature and escaping from modern life chaos a little bit The hotel and the rooms smell great from the cleaning but my linen had a blood stain on it

I worked in the hotel business for some time and I know that it’s impossible for some stains to come off, but at least they could have replaced it or put the stained side to the foot level, not the face level Again, I am sure that it was cleaned because of the great smell, that’s why I am still giving 5 stars It was a great stay for reasonable price Thank you to hotel staff!

Letty Torres

The pros were : check in process was great The person at front desk is definitely a great person, very knowledgeable The pool is nice and so are the facilities

Breakfast was great as well, it is available at a cost to you Person working that area was very friendlyCons: the bed is the hardest bed I’ve ever slept on, the door seemed to have paint chipped off on outsideas if some tried to pry it open The chair in room can use updating

Marie St. Louis

The location is perfect and I felt safe during my entire stay The bar and restaurant is right there in the hotel and that made things easy when it came to options The staff was friendly and if you report an issue they try their best to resolve your issue

I wish more was done for Hilton honors members but aside from that my experience at this hotel was a good one

This was our first time staying here but definitely not our last Our AC broke and the heat displaced my family of 5, including our 3 young sons We came in late last night, were put in a comfy room and slept so peacefully

The staff was amazing! Debra in the dining room was amazing! My sons loved her She made us feel at home despite our displacement When we told Cesar at the front desk how amazing Debra and Genevieve were, he encouraged us to leave a review Cesar also acknowledged us as Gold members, he was very kind We will recommend to others and we will be back

anony mous

Sadly I am rating this a one only because ZERO is not an option I am writing this review as a former employee hoping future applicants are able to get a view on how it is to work at this hotel First and foremost I have 5+ years with hotel experience and I have never worked in a hotel with such POOR management

Never have I felt where I was less important then the head managers here, where they are NOT WILLING to work with there employees; as if they only really care about themselves Not to mention that the employees are not informed when the hotel has bed bugs, bugs that I took home cause I was NOT INFORMED about them Overall I hope changes are made so not only future employees and be happy but current ones as well

LynAnn Phifer

We stayed here about 6 weeks ago My only complaint now is that the breakfast was much better 6 weeks ago They used to have bagels, bread and English muffins to toast, now that has all been taken away

They had eggs you could scoop now They have egg sandwiches that are pre wrapped in plastic The breakfast really wasn’t the quality it was 6 weeks ago

The room was small but nice Everything seemed clean The front desk staff were very friendly and apparently took notes about you from check in

So why 4 stars and not 5? The breakfast Most of the items were dry I know that hotels seem to give the impression that breakfast is something we don’t deserve but let’s do better I should be able to chew the sausage Label the foods you put out We’re still not sure what that one choice was Make sure the juice machine is working Order more strawberry jelly I know that you have plenty of apple and mixed jelly to get rid of How about some real cream cheese? Would almond milk be too much to askIf your response is that no one else does this, then you are in the wrong business Nothing I just mentioned if cost prohibitive

Valene H

The staff was absolutely AWESOME!!! Every shift the customer service was top notch! I had a horrible experience between booking the hotel from a third party to my flight being cancelled until the next morning When I arrived with my mother and daughter, the Assistant General Manager JAMES was so pleasant and took good care of us to the best of his abilityThen there was Loretta, Kyle, Nicole, James (overnight), another female employee (sorry I forgot your name), the housekeeping manager and her staff, and the maintenance staff that I saw in passing… ALL GREAT PEOPLE who provided EXCELLENT customer service!!!The hotel was clean, beds comfortable and amenities up to par! The complimentary breakfast was decent, but each time we went there were items that we ate

The complimentary coffee, tea and water station was always accessible!Great experience and will definitely recommend this hotel if your staying in the Tampa area! 7 mins from the Silvermoon Drive-In and mins drive from multiple stores, restaurants and lakes!

We stayed here for about 25 weeks while we were waiting to close on our house We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel! My husband and I have 2 dogs and one kiddo and we were all very comfortable! The rooms were updated and very clean

The pool was nice and fenced in Breakfast was a little better than continental but not a full blown breakfast The coffee was FANTASTIC! The people that worked there were always very friendly I would highly recommend this hotel!

I have been meaning to write this review much earlier The absolute cleanest and most wonderful service I have ever had at a hotel Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 weeks while we looked for a new apartment, and it was delightful! Robbin, Natalia, August, John, the house keeping manager, were all amazing, and provided the absolute best service! I was extremely happy and will definitely stay here if I ever need a hotel in Tampa again

Oh, also near the Hard Rock casino, short distance to downtown, and Brandon mall for dining, shopping, etc

I have stayed at this location and one other location in the Westshore downtown Tampa area So I guess my review and my reasoning or it applies to both locations I gave them the five stars because I am a gold Rewards member in the Marriott program and have been for many years and so I always try to use it when I travel and every time I’ve ever stayed at a TownePlace Suites it’s been fine but these two in particular have been above and beyond

Not only are they very clean and neat looking on the outside they are right off the interstate like a mile from getting off the exit There is a McDonald’s across the street and I’m sure several other things nearby that I haven’t been to But aside from that not only is it the outside the front desk is very kind very a tentative as to trying to be helpful in any way They are a hotel chain that tries harder than any other I have had experienced risk to try to get the availability to let you have your benefits that you get with the rewards program You get benefits it’s a based upon availability at the hotel and these two have went above and beyond to try to make sure I could use those benefits such as an early or late check-out Elevators very nice and clean as well as always The rooms are also very nice they are modern and very clean and roomy I definitely will stay again if ever needed and would recommend either location 100%

My wife had a procedure in Tampa so we had to stay 3 days The experience was obviously stressful and a bit scary Every single person we encountered at this Embassy made this experience better

The front desk women were beyond helpful and nice The cleaning crew went out of their way to ensure our room was clean and safe before and after the surgery The cook was awesome and the lady in that area offered to fix my wife something special 5 stars and above to this team! Thank you for making a stressful experience better

Attended an awards event there Both conference rooms were well decorated and I loved that one had a sitting area Inside there is a really nice restaurant and seating that makes you feel as though you are sitting in a park outside

Catering staff was very friendly and accommodating (there was no vegan food but they made me a plate full of Romain lettuce) Guests raved about the food

I would not recommend this hotel The front desk staff is not friendly or hospitable, the hotel elevator was out of service & the one available for service needed serious improvementsRoom service staff was friendly & nice, the beds & pillows are comfortable and nice quality, and the hotel lounge area is nice

Overall it’s the poor customer service that I can’t deal with & broke/ elevator issues

Where do I start???? First, the staff is very accommodating and polite Everyone staff member I walked by said hello Which never happens much these days

The room was very clean I had a cleaning business, so I have an eye for what others don’t see and there was not one issue with my room And believe me, I check I was at the business center and overheard a customer being upset with the staff and she was so very professional I wanted to tell the guy to back off but I didn’t She handled herself and helped the customer resolve the issue It was a amazing Everyone was happy I understand that people have the “DIMOND STATUS” with this hotel chain, but the world has changed Due to COVID, everyone needs to be understanding that businesses hands are tide right now and we all, as a whole, as consumers, as people need to remember we are all in the same battle We all really need to work together harder than ever before to help businesses, whether small or large, get back on their feet, running smoothly I wish people could just be nicer Anyways, this place is amazing I loved it It was hands down the cleanest hotel I have stayed at with Marriott Definitely will be back
