I like to leave realistic reviews… you are getting a fantastic price (especially for all you pet traveling friends who know how outrageous fees can be)Pros: lots of amenities on property, close to a main drag of good eats, super super nice & accommodating staff Very understandable of our unique situation

Very clean & comfy rooms and A/C in room work awesome Elevator music classic!Cons: (July 23) Hallways not air conditioned and super stuffy Elevators too Embrace the early 90s and this place is your vibe (hallways specifically) Huge events at times so may want to check on your dates (for things like pool, restaurants) Checked out pool but too hot in there for this July heat, in winter it would be perfectOverall grade: C+Grade with effort: B

The room itself was fine but I booked the room through the hopper and paid 187$ for the room When I got to the hotel I gave them my booking information and they told me that they needed to charge my card again for a deposit of 140$ They said the funds would go back on my card 2-5 business days

I waited a week and called them cause I did not receive my funds back They tried informing me that it was actually for the room and I wouldn’t get back I told them I was charged twice for the room and they ended up issuing a refund but the problem is the refund could take up too two weeks to get back to me I’m really annoyed about it and I should have already gotten my money back!!!

Mr. Blaisdell

Rented a “Family Suite” The King bed was fine, the pull out coach was unbelievably uncomfortable There were urine stains all over the toilet The remote to the TV batteries were dead

The phone was not working, had to hook it up properly myself Called the front desk several times, busy, or no answer The pool signage said closes at 10:00 pm, went down at 9:30, told it was closed The breakfast buffet was horrible 2 nights and over $700 later

While it is aesthetically pleasing, the amenities and service at this hotel have gone downhill We are staying for 5 nights and got put in a back corner about a mile from the elevator It takes until 4pm or later to get the room cleaned

They leave one “treat” for 2 people They short us on towels The shower head is a rain head in a regular tub You have to be up against the wall to get water And at that it’s just a sad drip I loved this hotel when it first opened, but now it’s just so/so Not worth the money They said it was full and no other rooms were available but it truly doesn’t seem full at all

Lee Hendrekian

We had such a great stay at this hotel Not only is it really nicely appointed, nice rooms and super comfy beds, but it has a wonderful restaurant/bar with really yummy food We ate their for dinner and breakfast and everything was very good

Highlights would have to be the Brie Fondue and the breakfast sandwich on brioche Truthfully though, the best part of our stay here was the above and beyond customer service Honestly, we felt so welcomed and our business truly appreciated It is a hard thing to come by these days and makes this hotel a true stand out Bieng so close to the mall is a real plus as well We will definitely stay again!

Honestly I didn’t expect for my expectations to be met because of other experiences these days at hotels I’ve been to other embassy suites locations around mass and let me tell you… this is the BEST one to be at The staff are all VERY friendly VERY professional, VERY helpful, And speedy

There’s hotels you go to and the staff are all mad and moping around, but this staff, down to maintenance, they are all positive , upbeat I like how they were even talking to each other and laughing with each-other When I walked by the front, it’s nothing but good vibes the whole time we stayed Breakfast was good, they had great options The pool and hot tub plus the area around them were cleaned The room was cleaned well I overall just appreciate the care that this hotel has and I hope they just keep going up from here I will definitely be coming back, in fact, I’m booking after this review for a trip coming up Definitely recommend!! The ONLY thing I didn’t like is one of the guest had a dog in the room

Robert Butcher

Stayed in a King suite, room was great and had plenty of room The shower could of been much bigger, that would be my only complaint Restaurant had awesome food, but was a little on the pricey side

Staff was awesome! There needs to be adults only hours on the pool at night though To many screaming and splashing kids Hard for the adults to enjoy themselves I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Courtney Pidermann

I can’t brag enough about how wonderful our stay was The room was very spacious and had everything we needed inside It was very up-to-date inside, with no smells or stains

Everything was so clean and beautiful The bed was extremely comfortable and the concierge was so kind to us and helpful The chef who made our omelets, I wish I knew his name, it was the best breakfast we’ve ever had while on a road trip Hats off to you Mr omelette man, you are a true master of your craft sir We only regret that there isn’t an embassy suites everywhere we are staying in our travels because we feel spoiled now, thank you so much for everything, we will be back!

Here at this hotel with a large wedding party Checked in without issue Staff were courteous

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious The entry is beautiful Decorative Complimentary breakfast which was tasteful Word to the wise though, there were two weddings, over 3 hockey/soccer teams of various ages their for a tournament, this hotel was ROWDY But such is life, we enjoyed ourselves overall The kids running and screaming the halls were annoying, but that’s the parents fault This hotel did the trick

This hotel is very clean and the room is great because it’s like a little apartment with a living room and a bedroom I have to especially acknowledge Anissa who was very kind, friendly and professional You can tell this hotel puts a lot of effort into who they hire

There is also another very young guy who has checked me in before who was also very friendly and professional but I can’t remember his name at the moment This is actually my favorite hotel in Waltham!

Todd Huse

As a fan of the Embassy Suites brand, our stay at the Waltham, MA property was a surprising disappointment The first disappointment was finding out that overnight parking carries a fee (not valet, not garage, not gated, not secure – just property parking lot) I don’t like surprise fees that carry no benefit as a customer

Next, 2 of the 3 elevators were not working during our two night stay With 8 floors, this made for long waits for elevators (especially with large school groups playing games with the buttons) Unfortunately, the fire/stairwells for this property are not really conducive for use They are not maintained (unfinished) for normal use, they are inconvenient and in order to access the lobby, you must exit at the second floor and then utilize the mezzanine stairs in the middle of the hotel (by the non-working elevators) Next, our son was using the pull out couch in our suite , and while it had sheets and a pillow in the closet, there was no blanket I went to the front desk to ask and was told they were out, but that they could give us a “couple extra sheets”Also of note, front desk staffing was never at the desk (except for our arrival at noon) Every time I went to the desk,it was empty, no bell, and a couple times I grew tired of waiting and just left (despite the camera in the corner which I assume has a monitor in the back room)There are lots of other hotels in the area The likelihood of us choosing the Waltham, MA – Embassy Suites again is low As other have said, the breakfast is apparently a highlight of the property While we did not utilize the breakfast, another guest in our party that arrived a day earlier was very happy with the breakfast

Cool hotel As clean as most other decent hotels There were a few things like hairs and excessive dust, but that is essentially the standard these days

Front desk person was friendlyQuick elevatorsMain selling point is the breakfast It’s decent but not spectacular For people traveling for work, the breakfast is A+ For families on vacation, maybe eat breakfast once but also try other things in the area

DONT CONE TO THIS HOTEL!!! On the way to the hotel one of our cars broke down and we had to stop and wait for a tow truck We called the hotel and spoke to someone who allowed us to check in over the phone as we were going to miss our check in time They took our name and told us not to worry, and that we would receive our room keys when we would arrive

We had a reservation for 8 people and some of us arrived to the hotel before the others as we had to get into separate cars Upon arrival the receptionist was extremely rude She refused to check us in, and told us until the person who the reservation was under would arrive we would not get our rooms We explained that we had checked in over the phone and what had happened She did not care, she wouldn’t take the name, or a picture of the ID She didn’t attempt to help us at all Not hospitable at all We waited 40 minutes for the other half of our party to arrive The lobby was smelly, food on the floor, ants everywhere, and no air conditioning And the receptionist kept giving us problems The whole time we waited the manager and some random guy were in the lobby eating and drinking beer and liquor The hotel was also very dirty! Do not waste your money or time!

This hotel used to be the Crowne Plaza which was really up scale clean and cheery Our one night 7/15/22 was horrible and I am a Hilton’s Honors member

Our room was dark-walls-rug and the beds were only double not queen size also the sink in the bathroom was stained and had a crack The curtain did not cover the window completely so when the sun came up so did we because the sun came through the window Also the reader lamps over the bed did not work There is so much dark brown every where so everything is so dreary I do not recommend

I have stayed at the Burlington MA residence Inn before and had a good stay This time we left and got right on the highway not realizing we forgot my daughters white stuffed animal bunny she sleeps with This was passed down from my wife so had some sentimental value

We called and hoped for the best that it would be found and shipped back to us They called us to let us know it was found and gave us the information to have it shipped back to us We we relieved to say the least Then the package arrived for my daughter with the bunny, a note from the staff, and pictures of the bunny working at the desk and answering calls while it stayed at the hotel until it made it back to us They even created a name tag named “bunny” for the pictures Made an awful experience for my daughter a wonderful experience that we will always remember We saved this and will give to her when she gets older Such a great gesture to go out of their way to make a great experience I will absolutely be returning and I hope others give this place a try as well You will not be disappointed!! Thank you Residence Inn staff!!!

Stayed for three nights with my wife and daughter Clean room, housekeeping was excellent 1 day and OK the other, but nothing really major Had some bad experiences in the past so I did a thorough check of the room and there was no signs of any pests

My only complaint is that was the smallest “king” bed I have ever seen Also staff was very nice I will be back

Aubrey Field

We had a great stay here at the residence inn We came for the Boston marathon (my husband ran in it) and we loved being close enough to the city to make travel quick but far enough that it was a break from the contast chaos For the marathon it was a quick drive to Anderson station and we took the trains in from the

Highly recommend it The room had everything we needed and the staff was wonderful They even had a care package for us after the marathon If we ever come back we will stay here for sure!

I wouldn’t recommend this place There are plenty of other options availableI went to check in and was told no clean rooms were available as yet even though I checked in the night before online and told them what time I would arrive

Eventually the receptionist found a clean roomSecondly, the hallway and elevator smelled like mold Carpets must’ve gotten flooded or something however it was unbearable Luckily the room had no smellMy room had broken fixtures and curtains had blood stains on it Kitchen wasn’t cleaned well Found dishes in the dishwasherBathroom wasn’t very clean either I went in and cleaned it to my liking Housekeeping is extremely slow Asked for extra towels that took about 4 hrs to receive them I then asked for pillows and never got them The only way you aren’t charged for parking is if you’re a Marriott member which doesn’t make sense No other hotel charges for parking on their own groundsThe biggest thing for me was that for the days that I stayed, housekeeping never cleaned my room once Usually for Residence Inn, it’s every other day however it wasn’t cleaned at allOverall, it’s a big disappointment It’s very outdated and the grounds/buildings/rooms aren’t well maintained Everywhere you look, needs improvement For the price that they charge, you can go to any other hotel in the area nearby and have a better experienceI had to switch to another hotel after my couple days there

Kit Parker

Room was a construction site Insulation on pipes disintegrating onto the floor (from open ceiling) and tracked into the room The walls & ceiling outside the room were disassembled

There were hardly any cars in the parking lot so I’m not quite sure why this room was even available It looked as if there was plenty of other vacancies in the hotelsIt didn’t make much sense to complain to the front desk They were doing the best they couldNo place to eat anywhere close to this and the only delivery was pizzaThey charge you for parking But the lot was half empty and there was no place to drive anywhere close to eat or any other access to this hotelNot a good day for Marriott An embarrassment to a good chain

alka sharma

Someone wrote “this place is an embarrassment in the name of Marriott” I absolutely agree with that The room was noisy being near the elevator so we asked for a change of room which was made extremely difficult even though they had plenty of available rooms, when we check as a new reservation

Finally, after few hours of back and forth we managed to switch the room later found the heating was not working in this room The breakfast was not as per the other residence Inn The excuse of the pandemic was given if they did not have or ran out of something, although they were using the common pitchers for the drinks which should have been avoided if they were following any Pandemic protocols Later tried to find the dishes in the kitchen area, but nothing was in the cupboard or the drawers Found out that everything was loaded in the dishwasherI would not recommend this place at all

I stayed there for a conference The conference areas were nice but the rooms were old, in need of repair and not the usual Sheraton quality There was a spoon left in the hallway that was there 3 days I was there

The iron didn’t work, requested a new one and it never came The landscaping outside was weedy and not kept up The wall by the window of my room was all bubbled up from the air conditioner above leaking into the room! There is nothing within walking distance and the area it is in is commercial and surrounded by highways The staff I dealt with was overall friendly and accommodating

Slim Anetacs

No Continental breakfast here The public bathrooms really smell like urine because the urinals are waterless So no one can flush

DisgustingMy room was very nice and clean The workers were very friendly And the hotel overall was nice But I do believe they should serve continental breakfast and do something about that disgusting urine smell in the bathrooms

Ruchi Munshi

This review is for their event management and not hotel room stay We had our wedding here and came back to host a different event a few years later Our original event was great, so much so that we were motivated to return

New management is inflexible and pricing is inflated given other options in the area I would not recommend booking for event space

It may be a personal thing but the room was a little dark at night for what I like I like a place that when you turn on the lights it feels bright and cheerful Maybe lighter color walls or different lighting would have helped

I think it was the lighting But when morning came, I could open the curtain to a very large window to let plenty of light in I understand some rooms have a patio and wonderful views of the Charles River, which mine did not Otherwise the place was fine The breakfast buffet was wonderful They had eggs bacon, sausage, home fries, oatmeal, cereals, pastry, fresh fruit and more Couldn’t of done a better job when it came to breakfast The lobby had a nice big rotating glass door that you can easily get your luggage through The furnace / air-conditioning worked well The shower was also wonderful, as it had one of those large square shower heads The bathroom lighting was spectacular I saw fine marks, such as sun spots on my face, I never knew I had The people at the front desk were very helpfulIf I needed to stay in the area again, I would return

s o

What an absolute lousy experience in the restaurant I was handed a lunch menu at dinner, after studying it I placed order and was told I can’t order off that menu for dinner I then studied the dinner Menu and was told I can order the club or the cheeseburger of the lunch menu

I ordered the cheeseburger medium and it was very well done and charred Others in the party ordered the steak and it also was cooked well done! Chef, use a Thermoworks professional thermometer if you can not judge meat temps! Cheesecake was $8 Are you kidding me!!!! It’s no bigger then a cupcake in diameter Marriott you should be ashamed at the service this place is giving with them quality of food coming out of the kitchenThe salmon was cooked perfectly I was told from another one in our party Consistency is key!

Mai Vaz

Hotel rooms are okay, bathroom was tiny, no vent, so all the room got very humid after a shower The hotel grounds very nice No wifi unless you pay for it

We tried to add a night to our stay just so we didn’t have to move to a different hotel and we were told they couldn’t help us since we had made the reservation through a third party which I thought was super odd If you want your room to be cleaned and get fresh towels you need to ask for them

This place was great The hotel was massive and beautiful The bed was nice soft and comfortable

They provided a fridge and coffee maker Wish they provided a microwave They were kind to provide us with a roll away bed Bathroom had all the amenities it needed My one complaint is I did find a couple of hairs in the showerStaff were kind and friendly

Josh Smith

We have been going to this place for YEARS and it is great The staff is great and always so kind The rooms are absolutely beautiful and cleaned

The location is okay but it is located next to a little highway so it can be noisy The food is amazing stop by the Bistro for some great food and the buffet in the morning is great and has much to choose from Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes!

Roshanda Turner

We stayed for a couple days during school vacation, looking to have something for our girls to do The hotel was immaculate, the pool was clean and the hot tub was hot! And everything was open and staffed We had the breakfast buffet which was included in our room

It was way more than we expected and one of the reasons we will be back There was something for everyone from oatmeal to a staffed omelets bar and fresh fruit smoothie The girl swim and had a blast it was the perfect staycation!

SMALLOk, I’m a Marriott guy Stay in them exclusively I love residence inn with my family

A bedroom for us, the pull out couch for the kids Lots of space… UsuallyThis hotel is new Very clean Great staffRooms are SMALL Much smaller than any residence inn I’ve ever stayed atAll the rooms are the same sizeThe 1 bedrooms are a regular size hotel room, with the bathroom in the middle, and a door separating the bedroomKitchen/couch area is SMALLFor 1-2 people it’s greatFamilies? NoFor 1 person = do it Brand new, clean, small bar scene, good staff3+ = heck, noAlso A/C sucksThe Window unit does NOT cool the front area

Trish MacDonald

This is a great hotel! Brand new, well designed rooms, full kitchens well stocked and just overall really clean and feels nice The free breakfast was actually good and plentiful Some great amenities for longer stays: laundry, shopping delivery, shuttles, pull out couch for the kids

All the staff were so wonderful! This will be our new go to when visiting family in the area

Jessica R

Very nice rooms The sleeper sofas are sleeper love seats though So when it says the room sleeps 4, that’s being generous

Two adults on the sleeper sofa was a bit much And there was only 1 extra pillow for the sofa, there should be 2 if you expect 2 people to sleep on it I would suggest more bedding for the sofa too One small thin blanket got pretty coldI recommend 2 people per room

Stayed in room 24 & got an interesting picture on my SLS camera around 2am which lasted about 30 minutes This place did not disappoint Anyone who says they need updating is wrong

This hotel needs to stay the way it is Putting in modern furniture or bathrooms would absolutely take away from its coziness and character! Also, the restaurant is unbelievable! It’s definitely in the top 3 places I have ever eaten at I expected regular bar food there, but I was so wrong! The steak is fabulous! I will be staying there again this weekend and I can’t wait I really love this place! Oh, and it’s very clean as well!

Darrell Stam

We stopped at the Colonial Inn in Concord to grab a casual meal We had wedge salad that was very fresh, comforting and flavorful chicken pot pie and a traditional fish and chips dinner While nothing here is extra fancy, but it sure did hit the spot after a day of walking around town

The service was attentive and friendly It has that cozy tavern feel with a wood burning fireplace and rustic decor

We stayed in a Prescott Queen room while visiting the National Historic Site nearby It was fascinating to stay in such a historic location and I would highly recommend this inn to allPros: Amazing history, great location, clean, comfortable, updated bathroom, FANTASTIC restaurantCons: The wall AC unit did well with lowering the temperature of the room but it did stay a little humid (with that being said, I am sensitive to heat and it was very tolerable), very small shower (to be expected from a historic inn)

I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Marlborough/Boston for five days for work When i asked for extra towels and pillows they were delivered right away The people working the front desk were really helpful, especially Blake

I spoke with him on the phone before arriving and he remembered our conversation and made sure everything was taken care of Blake was super accommodating, understanding and helpful He went above and beyond for me as a guest and It made me feel more relaxed during my stay The location is great, anything you need is at one of the hundreds of stores/restaurants five minutes down the road The hotel has a bar/restaurant with outdoor seating and a Starbucks The pool was nice and the gym area was huge The lobby is a great spot to hang out if you have some work to catch up on with plenty of tables and chairs and outlets Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others looking to stay in this area

It’s been a while since I have stayed a Courtyard specifically However, I have stayed at similar lodgings and this has been a noticeably more pleasant experience The restaurant food was legitimately delicious (only had breakfast and dinner)

The staff are warm and friendlyThe gym was more expansive than any I can remember Free weights, weight machines, cardio, yoga mats, racket ball courtI was a little surprised there wasn’t a complimentary Continental breakfast However, it wasn’t a big deal

Location was wonderful Hard to say how I feel about service as with mobile check in and check out we didn’t engage with the staff much The Bonvoy app was helpful for sure if you wanted to avoid talking to other people as I had a mobile key and didn’t have to go to the desk at all when we arrived at 10pm

Our room was a good size and felt comfortable and clean, it was what I expected of a Courtyard Marriott The only irritation was that the window wasn’t sitting right and so it wouldn’t close completely which made the room quite noisyThe bistro was a decent easy breakfast and the woman at the counter was pleasant

As a person who has spent the last 30 years traveling for business and pleasure, I can say that this hotel was really first class; the “nothing is too much trouble” service; the delightful rooms; the quality food and restaurant, were all impeccableFurthermore, this place is in a lovely and historic place with the convenience of being close to the airport and DowntownAll in all, a wonderful experience, which helped to create the environment for a very successful few days of meetings

Nowadays tastes are so varied it is really unusual to come across a property where you immediately warm both to the initial design and the open, charming candour of all the staff Walk in the front door of the Inn at Hastings Park with an appointment (as we had) or without and the whole team is excited to see you and eager to find out how they can help Each room has its own design

Local design celebrity Robin Gannon has boldly arranged funk and crafty opulence: SMEG bar fridges in the rooms, attractive fabrics and furnishings to dress each room’s inherent character Local Rte 128 execs book in for a year or more so they will miss home less
