I’m not sure which was more beautiful, the home or the lovely couple running it Actually, the surrounding neighborhood was pretty great, too Toni and Martin were so attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the entire house

Now we want to stay in all of the rooms Everything was clean and nicely decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was awesome! And Toni totally outdid herself at breakfast, to include taking my husband’s special diet needs into consideration We had a lovely stay and we’re looking forward to going back some day

Brody Sauers

Stayed here for several weeks while working It was a great stay Toni and Martin were outstanding hosts and super friendly

The room was beautiful and very comfortable And the location is great Short walking distance to everything you’d need, including a grocery story (stadium Thriftway is 10/10), restaurants, bars, pharmacy The immediate area is filled with beautiful houses that are worth a walk to see as well

Lani Bartlett

Very impressive building and grounds It had an historical and grand ambiance to it The hosts were very accommodating and friendly

The breakfasts were fantastic The fruit salads in the picture were elegantly assembled The only negative was that the building and grounds were in a bit of disrepair and there was more clutter than expected But all in all, we enjoyed our stay very much

We were so impressed with this hotel!! We stayed in a King room that ended up having a kitchenette, which I was not expecting The room was nicely remodeled The bed was incredibly comfortable

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check in The continental breakfast had a good selection of items to choose fromWe will definitely choose to stay here again if we are in the area again!

Moneesha Kamani

Absolute nightmare dealing with Marie and Jose from the hotel They were rude and repeatedly abrupt, and I am still awaiting a call from Megan Riley for a month now The room we got was also unclean and it took a TON of negotiating to clean it! They will say “you can clean your room anytime” on their signage and hoardings, but when you ask them, they will say they clean a room only after 7 days of a stay (even when you show them pictures of dirty hairs and are staying there for 5 days)

Marie will repeatedly call you by another name, and they will promise “to make it right” but do nothing The pool was closed during the stay and the fire alarms – while alarms and drills are necessary, we were not advised at check in! It was 5 days of enduring shrills and entry into the room by different people Oh, and last but not the least, woken at 11 pm by receptionist saying there was noise from my room (when there was none, it was an ice machine down the hallway humming) So, you will be woken up from deep sleep to be advised about imaginary noise that “must be coming from my room” Now you have disturbed two guests, the one complaining about some noise and the other, who was asleep Great hospitality!

Michelle Moena

Great kitchen with fridge/freezer, fully stocked with a list of items you can borrow including a blender!Staff was very friendly and helpful I would give it 5 stats but my skin had a reaction to the sheets Night two they washed a set of sheets in just hot water for me, this helped a little

My legs still turned red and blotchy but I was able to sleep For over $200 a night you’d think they’d have an alternative set of sheets for like an allergen sensitive set of sheets for weird people like meOther than that, they accommodated an early arrival so we could get checked in and onto our high school state track tournament within 10 minutes of our hotelBeing next to the freeway is loud so I recommend bringing earplugs if you’re used to a quieter environment

My experience was an over-the-top delight From the start it was easy to navigate to and find the hotel, even after a stressful day and a challenging drive I pulled into valet to be pleasantly welcomed and I hadn’t even gotten out of my car

The individuals working (Eric) were pleasant, sharp and communicated well, very helpful Then as I entered I was met with a visual delight The lighting, the art and decor, the layout and design were all great However, the staff provided to be the true delight Check in was a breeze, (Erika) was so informative and vibrant I felt at ease by her disposition as she spent just a few minutes sharing with us about our amenities, opportunities and entertainment Really a pleasurable experience that rewarded me with calmness and excitement, how refreshing So as we took the elevator we noticed we couldn’t feel a thing while riding it Then we turned our attention to being excited with what our room experience would be like, given everything so far As we opened our door we were very impressed It was a wave of awe, a sense of appointment, intentional if not deliberate thought was given to the tiniest of details The room was glorious, the king size bed comfortable, the freshness of the comforter was incredible The pillows were a little stiff and over large but otherwise fine There was even a bottle of wine to greet us with real glassware located through the room An umbrella to use (how thoughtful) and many many amenities for use, including the ever needed vanity kit Really an immersive room experience Absolutely nothing was in want in this room Except those pillowsThe pool and hot tub, I will say is by far, the absolute best in the entire City of Tacoma or Ruston, as far as hotels go Those jets melted away the tensionBut, let’s talk about the restaurant/bar The food was absolutely divine, atmosphere was euphoric and the view was majestic The staff (Katrina) was excellent Really high caliber people serving in a high quality environment Check out those pictures!Anyways, I could go on and on why I would give this one night stay the highest rating ever, but really you gotta experience this for yourselfBy the way, little extra tidbit, I met another customer that drove all the way from Seattle, just for the steak and eggs breakfast! Even after a twelve hour work shift! After my first bite of mine, I understoodThank you for rescuing my hope in hotels

Where do I start The front desk staff was nice when we checked in, that’s about it We were “walked over” to this hotel because the Marriott Downtown lost our reservation and was over booked

The Marriott told us AND the front desk at this overly priced hotel they would be covering our room and taxes etc This was confirmed at the front desk when we checked in The supervisor was advised by the Marriott to bill them for the charges I signed a paper and was told I would only have a $100 hold on my card for incidentals The girl while he was talking to the Marriott about them paying for it said “you guys are going to LOVE this room, the only thing we have left is a King Jacuzzi Suite”…Awesome, not necessary but we were just happy to have a place to stay after a long day of traveling, we probably would have taken a bunk bed in a hostile at that point we were so exhausted Fast forward to today when I find that this hotel has now charged me over EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE ROOM!!! Not only did no one pay for our room as promised but they charged my card WITHOUT my authorization for $812…for one night The hotel we had booked at the Marriott was $330 When I called to speak to them about the charges the girl I spoke with very rudely said “I’ll send you to accounting please hold BYE”…Waited on hold for a few minutes then got immediately transferred to a voicemail and no one has bothered to call me back This is completely unethical and unprofessional Oh and we rolled in there with a 2019 Toyota Camry and got looked at like we were trash by the valet, quickly shooed out of their MANDATORY $32/night Valet as soon as 2 Lamborghini’s pulled up behind us Negative 1 star is I could…

Chris K (Chrislk1986)

Didn’t actually stay at the hotel, but came and visited family during a weekend stayThe rooms are very nice and there are some great views to be had The pool was nice, weather was perfect

We ordered some takeout from outside of the hotel and the restaurant forgot to put plates/utensils in Front desk staff was able to provide some plates and forks–And with amazing speed! We very much appreciated the effortThe restaurant in the lobby is great as well It was packed the weekend we were there (maybe a wedding nearby?) And everyone was professional and worked hard to get everyone’s orders in and fulfilledThe location? Perfect Right in the middle of the bustling Ruston Waterfront There’s a park, public market, movie theatre and a great selection of dining outside of the hotel Farmers market is right there too, not sure when it starts, but keep that in mind on Sundays, it’ll be pretty busy Oh, there’s also an ice cream shop right across the street, which is sure to be a popular on a nice day

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here The inn is beautiful! There’s no front desk but the owners reach out to you before your stay and give you all the details to check in, which was easy We celebrated our wedding anniversary and they made it a very special one

The location is amazing, it’s right next to the water, and we were greeted by Canadian geese in the morning Walking into town was easy There’s a sidewalk that takes you all the way there Lots of great restaurants, breweries, and a distillery! Everyone we encountered in town was very friendly We can’t wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I were visiting STL for the first tome to celebrate our anniversary We looked at so many stays within and surrounding the city We couldn’t be happier with our choice! Penny was a great host and the property is stunning

You can tell so much love and care was put into the place Nicely decorated, fridge stocked, everything you could need is neatly organized, and the hot tub/view! If we are ever in PNW again, we will definitely revisit

Claire P

Beautiful modern cottage with stunning views of Puget Sound It’s on a quiet dead end road That isn’t the best part though

The owner and hostess, Penny, provided excellent service and communication When I arrived, pastries, fruit, and freshly baked bread were waiting for me In addition, the fridge was stocked with milk, juice, eggs, yogurt, jams, salsa, and 1/2 and 1/2 Amazing! A tray containing granola and all the fixings was nearbyThe cottage is lovely and well appointed I’m planning on booking at Three Trees B&B the next time I’m in Seattle Highly recommend!

Lori Snyder

The Lodges were a fantastic place to stay and surprised by the Strawberry Festival right outside our door It’s a different Hotel experience than normal The bungalows are fine but there is no kitchen they have a mini fridge and a microwave

Personally I wouldn’t use the barbecue or hot plates in the common area At the Pavilion outside there was a nice place to chillax Be aware of the sleeping arrangements When it says sleeps four it should say sleeps family of four There is very little privacy almost none The trundle beds were not optimal for two extra adults and you don’t get a private room other than the king size bed Please double check what’s in your unit and your party before booking to clarify sleeping arrangements

Terra Bella Flowers

Our team of floral designers had the great pleasure of setting up an outdoor wedding at the Lodges on Vashon, and the support we were given by Christine and her staff was beyond noteworthy! Christine was available what seemed 24/7 for any needs that came up, and the convenience of having an outdoor gathering space AND on site accommodations for our bridal couple and their guests made this treasure of a venue all the more unique and specialWe also had the opportunity to stay in one of the cottages and wow The Beds

All I can say is it was pretty hard to leave the cocoon of sheets and pillows the next day

Liz Skelly

This was one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed in this price range First off, all the “rooms” are individual container style structures, which was cool The beds were comfortable, the toilet / bathroom separation was awesome, and so many other great details

We utilized the communal shared space at the property as well, which was perfect for our 6 party group renting several different units – lots of awesome details out there too Hands down, this rental was an amaaaazing value

I stayed here for two nights while visiting the Tacoma area with my teen daughter We had the Grandview Suite, which lived up to its name The castle and grounds are visually stunning and were well worth the stay

However, as others have noted, the bedrooms are not well maintained (cracked linoleum in our kitchenette and a bathtub that was so badly scratched up we didn’t use it) Also, some of the decor in our room was cheap and tacky in a way that doesn’t fit with the overall grandeur of the place, like the electric fireplace, which was barely functioning It seemed to me that the focus here is on weddings, since the more public areas of the house seem to be in better shape than the guest rooms I don’t know that I would stay again, but I’m glad to have stayed once to have access to prowl around this magnificent old building I just wish it were more lovingly taken care of

We really enjoyed our stay at the Silver Cloud Inn and would have given five stars if it weren’t for the fact that they charge $14 dollars per night to park for hotel guests Since guests are paying such a high price already for such a nice hotel, you would think they would parking would be included Our room was beautiful and spacious with a gorgeous view

The staff/hotel were very accommodating and welcomed our service dog The hotel is in a safe and nice location, with a dog park just feet away which was very convenient since we were traveling with our service dog The breakfast options were great, they offered both hot and cold items, everything tasted good Staff were always very nice, friendly and prompt in taking care of any of our needs in a timely manner We definitely recommend

Rooms are clean and interior is updated The Staff are super friendly and the location is unbeatable Great views from almost all the rooms

Complimentary Breakfast is also delicious and simple with a fantastic morning viewOnly downside Not enough to take a star away, is the shower The water pressure is a joke More like a trickle

This is an amazing historic building, and McMenamins did a great job making it a fun place to visit! Staff was friendly and very helpful! Our group had a dinner and everyone enjoyed the food and were really impressed with the quality of food and how great it was The Spanish Ballroom is a great music venue! The sound system is excellent and a really cool space to check out live music! I definitely will return as I know I missed some of the great spaces Parking is mostly street parking, so that was the only reason I gave location 4 stars

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any resort This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I have been staying here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you won’t be let downLove love love this place! So unique and so fun! What a great atmosphere, from the inside to the out and from the top to the bottom! Each bar is so different and I think my favorite thing is I don’t know if there’s 2 matching light fixtures in the entire place! Oh And the food is so good!!!

Gerry Hunter

McMenamins nailed it again with the Elks Temple property; a beautiful renovation of an historic building, well-executed and full of fun bits of history to learn about the building and the area Fun to stroll the entire building (the diverse collection of chandeliers is amazing — don’t miss the atrium!) We had dinner in the pub; the service was solid, and everything was tasty and a decent value

Even had a couple of cocktails which were pleasingly well-madeThe bed was great, the room was clean and everything worked Only downside was a bit of all-night industrial noise and light from across the water; it was great to sit and look out at it all with a drink, but a touch noisy for good sleep Pulling closed the heavy drapes in the room took care of all of the light and most of the noise though, so it should really only be an issue for light sleepers

Extremely personable staff Well kept rooms I even liked the art

The rooms are arranged a bit different from what a normal hotel might do and I think it works Fast and roomy elevator Ac/heat works really well and gets to temp quickly Great water pressure I really enjoyed that there is actual shelves in the shower Zone Lighting in the room where needed Super cool area too Lots to do within walking distance 100% would stay again

Xochitl Castaneda

I attended a meeting here The space is very nice, the catering was good We had make your own sandwich trays

The restrooms are clean and modern Parking is a challenge We parked across the street and the payment machines were inoperable I had to go to the front desk to pay for parking That was extra time while I was rushing to get to my meeting

IMR

The rooms were nice & the hotel was very elegant & clean The only thing wrong was the way the built the parking garage It is very tight & narrow

If you have a big truck or pulling a trailer you will have to park on the street They can’t even get a tow truck in it Be very aware this parking garage is very small Maybe they thought all their guests & staff would be driving smart cars

Nice hotel in Gig Harbor away from the main downtown area but in walking distance to a few restaurants and a Starbucks We reserved the suite with 1 king 1 queen and a sofa bed which worked for my family of five Breakfast kept us full until early afternoon and consisted of eggs (though they seemed to be powdered eggs; strange consistency), sausage links, waffles/french toast, yogurts, oatmeal, and fruits

Good coffee in the rooms (K cups) Friendly and responsive staff Overall good value for the area

#ThreeHatsRanch

Great location in Gig Harbor Full breakfast is free Big, clean rooms with a very helpful courteous staff

Nice big rooms Pretty quiet at night and comfortable beds It is not told to you at time of check in, but they only clean your room if you ask! We arrived back in the evening to find unmade bed, towels still placed where we left them, etc I find it sad that they cant find people to work People need to wake up and see how destructive the new administration is and the havoc being created in all areas of the economy

Dale R. Anderson

Wesley Suite 255 Two rooms and a king bed much like the photos, tub and fireplace and bed in rear room A TV in both rooms

No stand nor light next to fairly stiff reading chair Heater controls did not seem to work as expected The thermostat seemed limited to 65 but the separate fireplace was nice and hot TVs are undersized for the expectation of the client who can afford the suite It’s great they are in both rooms but they are about 40” and basic cable services with no pause buffer Bath was super premium and the real killer feature in the main room It is longer and wider than most tubs And the old fashioned casement window nearby opens for some fresh air when you unlock it I recommend bring noise canceling headphones or a pilot earmuffs to drown out the loud jets for the more relaxing experience But it outclasses the rest of the suite Including the bathroom, with its slightly precarious corner seat standup shower and standard toilet If they upgrade these more minor points over time to fill out the experience it could be quite luxurious Ah but no room service of course, and the continental breakfast was standard fare A decent pot of hearty oatmeal, a clear plastic case of cheap unpackaged premade pastries and such, browning bananas and small mealy apples Good pots of strong black coffee Staying in the suite I went down to get some fresh fruit and such to bring back and run a tub for my date Be better to bring a few groceries for the kitchenette next time No balcony and a very “parking lot” outside experience; but a decent amount of trees and birds chirruping in the morning I think this deserves three and a half all things considered
