Husband and I just got to the hotel tonight The property and location is absolutely nice! The place is extremely clean but I have to be honest, my husband and I are globalist members and the lady at the front desk working now does not recognize hyatt loyalty members We booked this hotel last minute since we had a long drive going back home and got in late

We event went out of our way to find a Hyatt hotel since we want the stay to go towards maintaining our membershipWhen I asked if there were any rooms facing the riverfront, the lady at the front desk said there are in fact rooms available for upgrade, but we would have to pay an upgrade charge I told her that I’ve never had anyone tell us that as globalist members, but if that’s their policy at this hotel then it is what it is I just informed her that the perks of being a globalist are free upgrades and more subject to availability Since there was availability then we would love an upgrade She said she could honor the room and it probably won’t mess up their inventory? Whatever that means It was honestly disappointing when I went to grab the key and said thank you and the lady did not say anything back as if she was annoyed that she had to offer the upgrade That was honestly the most disappointing front desk experience we’ve had at Hyatt hotels Is unfortunate that we went out to of our way for this hotel to receive rude service

We were very comfortable at this hotel The staff is very nice and everyone was accommodating when we needed anything Special shout out to the kitchen staff – the breakfasts are truly outstanding! We stayed for several days over Christmas 2021, and had a chance to sample several of the dishes

Everything is made of fresh, delicious ingredients The portions are generous There’s a range of options; many are super healthy If you’re wondering, I’m not an employee – I live far away: )

This places was disgusting First of all no one seems to ever answer the phone when calling the front desk I checked in on July 2, 2022 for one night

The hallway did not have any a/c and it was extremely warm with a foul odor Upon walking into my room, it had a foul odor as well The bathroom sink had a huge crack in to that leaked onto the under cabinet of sink and onto floor The shower had no grab bars which is a huge hazard especially since the shower door did not close all they way which caused water to gush onto the floor of the shower making your floor towel soaked The couch had stains on it and the carpet looked dirty I paid almost $200/night for my room which I feel like I got robbed bc my room was disgusting This Sheraton must do better especially since they’re charging so much for their nightly rate

Amazing! Stopped into the historic bar for a drink and it was breathtaking! A walk around the lobby gave us insight on the history and also local attractions currently happening The bar is part of an elegant restaurant, but you will be served if you are casual Lots of activity

Lively room with true craft cocktails Very impressive!

Wife and I have been coming here for decades for getaway weekends Why? The place is cool, the gym/sauna are uninhabited, and if not for weddings the entire hotel would be ours alone The people are nice, the macaroons a tradition, and the Green Room romantic (both before and after the renovation)

The bad: prices have been climbing; rooms not getting rehabilitated (yes gold carpet, I have seen you since the 90’s); and room service is often spotty on the weekends (best to get dressed and have brunch in the Green Room)

Sxmply CAS

Lovely hotel with a gorgeous lobby and restaurants on the first floor The staff was friendly and attentive Valet is sometimes slow and I would wait past the time given to get my car

I wish the rooms included a microwave None of the other reviews spoke about the renovated gym It’s probably the best I’ve seen in the hotel The rooms are fine except for the slow draining tub

Front desk very accommodating Prompt in bringing whatever is needed in the room with room service not offered on a daily basis for first three days You can request servicing of the room 24 hours in advance

Adequate parking Great location for a meeting connecting to a convention center Food is good Handicap accessible rooms don’t all have walk in showers or even a shower with a low lip A tub with bars attached to the wall is not adequate

Chintan Patel

The service at this hotel was very friendly The morning manager who prepares breakfast everyday for the buffet is professional courteous and downright one of the nicest hotel managers around We came in from Brandon for a wedding this past week and we’re treated to the kindest service and a delicious breakfast every morning

Thanks for a wonderful stay we really enjoyed our stay

Sylvia Perry

It was ok good is to much and bad isn’t good enough The staff was fine the bed was comfortable but the shower floor was so dirty I wanted to wear shower shoes I made the mistake of trying to split my hotel bill on two cards and the girl completely messed it up

I ended up with pending charges of well over $300 on one card and nothing on the other (Wow) how she did that I’m not sure We had to call to for the error to be fixed We just wanted a one night getaway from our everyday life This place was not worth $230 dollars I did enjoy our dinner and a movie and just a chance to relax

I attended a Marriage Retreat during my stay here this past weekend (02/18-02/20) I understand that other guests will be there during this time However, this is one of the WORST experiences in my life

From kids running around in the halls and all times of the night, open beer and alcoholic beverages being left opened around kids from adults in the atrium, to broken elevator switches There was no security on the premises Only one clerk was there overnight during this weekend d The hotel manager NEVER showed up and there was a wedding there as well I mean this was utterly UNACCEPTABLE! How could you not have staffed this correctly? How could not even try to have a maintenance fixonf elevators when you were told that children have been playing with the buttons and causing disruptions Parents acted like they weren’t responsible for their children’s behavior That’s not the hotel’s fault but there needed to be some security or someone to maintain order Kids were knocking on my door at 2 and 3am, just for fun Being charged $370 for what? For this experience? Absolutely not! And on top of that, the hot water for the showers were almost nonexistent Felt like I was washing dishes while washing myself The marriage retreat was awesome The Hotel Experience, was absolutely horrible I strongly recommend you rethink making reservations here The staff tried their best but it was too much to overlook

shikera wilson

My family and I have loved going to this hotel for more than a decade, and we’ve all passed the love to our children It is a 👍🏾 place for the kids to swim and enjoy a nice free HOT breakfast, unlike that continental trash offered at other places They are clean and the staff is always professional and nice

I only took off a star because you now have to ask for all housekeeping services and literally beg for towels, which shouldn’t be for those who stay multiple nights

Darvon Bartholomew

Terrible stay The room was dirty white stains on the chair, desktop sticky Sheets dirty, urine in elevator

Kids with no shirts running all around the hotel,People take my word for it this was such a bad hotel We booked 3 rooms for two nights as we came for a family affair It was so bad I went to front desk to describe the condition of my room but the guy at the desk didn’t care He said no refunds He was very nasty never even looked up We took the loss and notified our credit card company we checked out and went to another hotel and we were able to sleep without feeling dirty This hotel could never get above 2 stars because it’s TERRIBLE

My husband and I booked a weekend Friday evening I was going there to attend a women’s conference The hotel staff outstanding and the restaurant in the hotel the food is absolutely delectable, tasty and seemed freshly prepared which is rare it seems today

This wasn’t our first stay but each stay we leave very welcomed and welcomed back and enjoy the room and quietness and especially the care and attention they give to their guests One of my favorite places to stay (And we only live an hour away yet choose to stay here and make a weekend of it – that alone means yep we enjoy staying at Hilton Christiana Delaware

JACK

Great customer service and the room was very comfortableThe food and cocktails were delicious A young lady that works in the restaurant created a drink(can’t remember the name of it) but you must try it! The restaurant staff were my favorite!I enjoyed my stay!

Eugenia Thornton

Convenient, clean, loads of amenities, suitable for weddings and other important events PeeWee Hockey going on when i was there Friendly staff at front desk and at breakfast

Dog friendly but higher than normal charge for dogs, and size is limited to under 75 which they do not tell you until you arrive Convenient dog potty area out back, but not able to reenter building at either of the two doors in that area, must walk around building Breakfast and coffee cost extra, though they are virtually the same as what you get for free at other hotel chains You do not have to bus your own table, though Super happy breakfast room attendants Plenty of uniformed staff around to answer questions and they were happy to do so

Beautiful venue Private and intimate setting No other weddings and no other people coming on and off grounds

We got married under their tree and started our ceremony and took pictures in their garden area then moved the party to their deck where our guests enjoyed the beautiful sunset while we took more pictures Yvonne the owner is fantastic at working with you and getting you organized before the big day Be sure to hire Caroline as your wedding planner because she helped us find vendors and set up our ceremony and the venue better than how I envisioned it Highly recommended!!

I had higher hopes for this hotel It is in a convenient location, and the hotel itself is very unique However, I had some personal items of mine that were thrown away by housekeeping

When I brought it up to the hotel, the just didn’t seem to care This was very frustrating because these items were never recovered to me Additionally, I had a roach in my room during my stay I unfortunately do not plan to stay here again

THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!! My boyfriend surprised me for me birthday with a 2 day getaway at this hotel The room we stayed in was called the Ashton, our stay was from Sunday, May 15th until Sunday May 17th We didn’t even stay for the whole second night, because I was bitten by a BED BUG

I took a shower and laid on the coach that was in our room, I immediately was irritated and scratching my legs My boyfriend checked my body and removed the cushions from the couch and there was a BROWN BED BUG We took pictures of the BED BUG and my bitten up legs, we left the room immediately and took our clothes and another shower We had to sleep in our car for the remainder of our stay I am now breaking out because of these BED BUG bites We stayed in our car from 1 am until 7 am, we spoke with Ann at the front desk, who claimed she never seen a BED BUG BEFORE and told us we wouldn’t be compensated for our second night a least The hotel will not give us any money back!!! She informed us that she would speak with the owner, and we weren’t able to speak with the owner Ann stated that she will contact the exterminator and proceed that way She called us back by noon and stated that the hotel will not drop the pending transaction My boyfriend is losing his 611 dollars for a BED BUG INFESTED HOTEL Do not stay here !! It’s disgusting, they’re not properly cleaning up I have no reason to lie, I’m having anxiety from this No one seems to care at this hotel about the horrific night we had today It’s terrible I will never stay here again

For the price it’s ok Not the greatest hotel What made this place good and I gave them an extra star was the people

Staff was extremely nice They worked with us when they switched our rooms without any notice We checked in our rooms and found one room reeked of smoke, they quickly changed it to a much better room Breakfast was ok, my expectation wasn’t high so I wasn’t disappointed Overall I will not be staying here unless I really had to If you go expecting 5 star hotel experience your in for a world of disappointment

Catherine Atkinson

DO NOT STAY HERE Our reservation was not kept This hotel “walked” us to another hotel by calling the day of our stay to say they had moved us to another hotel

However the second hotel had no record of this Went to STAYBRIDGE and the desk clerk told us it was NOT HIS PROBLEM No manager on site despite it being early afternoon Thoroughly disgusted with customer service and no room offered despite having reservation confirmation well in advance Did nothing to help us find a room elsewhere Zero stars, zero chance of booking this chain again

My husband and I had an extended stay here (about 15 weeks), and overall, it was a good stay and by far a better hotel choice than basically everything else around for this price point!Down one star just because it didn’t quite have that typical Marriott level depth of cleanliness, the breakfast wasn’t as exceptional as normal (but that is likely due to COVID restrictions), and it was troublesome to get room cleaning done since you had to schedule it the day before and the cleaning ladies weren’t very punctual I understand staffing has been an issue everywhere, so I’m guessing that’s a factor

We had some spots in our shower that looked like they needed a good scrubbing, dusting would have been nice, and the couch probably could have used a good vacuuming But the bed was pretty comfortable, and the sheets were very clean The hallways and elevators especially could have had some more daily care and cleaningThe front desk and breakfast staff were all very good and helpful Well done there We also felt very safe in the area and in the hotel The noise level was low, which was a bonusOverall, I would recommend family and friends to stay there

Chloe Dupuis

Very nice, up-to-date hotel The room was spacious and new Everything was clean and the work station was perfect

One star off because the bathroom smelled like sewage We had to leave the fan on, and the smell stayed through the nightThe lobby space is a shared reception/breakfast area/bar Nice ambiance Breakfast had good to-go optionsThe pool is small We didn’t use it, just wanted to mention The gym looks niceConvenient location close to I-95

Wow, not quite sure what to even say… Wedding party accommodations?? I can promise you, this is not the place to go You book a block of rooms for your wedding party & out of town guests

You’ve done this months in advance & have planned an after party at the hotel lounge, as stated well in advance You show up at the hotel to your so thoughtfully planned after party Again, this has been in the works for months Your shuttle arrives back at said hotel, you & everyone from your wedding are almost immediately told repeatedly by a sour faced person named Stacey we were all being too loud? Well it’s a wedding night Anyone involved would know long lost cousins & friends are together to celebrate for the first time in years Every single thing about this day & the wedding were absolute perfection until the second we stepped off of the shuttle So disappointing, have been to tons of after parties in plenty of hotels & can not reiterate enough how terribly we were treated here So sad for the way this evening ended for my loved ones Never ever book here for wedding accommodations…!!!

Debi gave us a quick history of the Inn and the historic district, recommended a local tavern where we enjoyed dinner, even suggested where to tour the next day We enjoyed the nature trail Bob blazed out back, seeing deer and many birds Breakfast was wonderful, in a sunny, warm dining room Visit here when passing through, you can’t go wrong

This B and B is one of the most lovely places I have stayed! The hosts were exceedingly gracious Bob is a absolutely great cook-my breakfast was 2 poached eggs on a bed of fresh garden cucumbers, tomatoes and avocados and scallions and a side of fresh berries and peaches Others had theirs on homemade English muffins

Debi is an immaculate hostess who caretakes the place – with rooms beautifully decorated, clean as a whistle The grounds are amazing There a long path through the acreage lined with raspberries bushes and we ate berries all along the walk- felt so relaxing and homey Definitely planning on returning next summer to visit the area again Oh yeah – I forgot to say – several doors up the street was a pickle ball/tennis court where we ladies played for couple hours before our tour of the area’s historic homes! Great stay!

Bob and Debi are great hosts The house and room were spotlessly clean Bob greeted us warmly on arrival, not too much, not to little

He gave us the excellent recommendation of going to the Cantwell House for dinner Breakfast was fantastic Picture worthy, for sure, but we try to stay off our phones The weather was awful, so we didn’t get to explore the groundsI have no doubt we will returnAlso, Bob and Debi may have inspired my wife and I to run a B&B someday They truly seem to love what they do ❤️

We were traveling and seen several sketchy places to stay or hard to get to This place was very easy to get to nicely lit Very welcoming and helpful staff

We had been traveling for days and this is the first place we had stopped at that were so nice and helpful Every other place acted like they were doing us the favor by letting us stay there This place made us feel like we were “guest” and they were there to help us I know from now on that I’ll be pulling into the Hampton Inn from now on when traveling The breakfast was extremely typical of any hotel breakfast ever But if you sign up for the rewards thing you also get free snacks It was a very welcoming place after such an exhausting day

They use demand pricing, so the room was very expensive Clearly, no one got that message The beds need to updated – way too soft

They are very short on staff, the food at breakfast is marginal at best, no fitness room, the pool was closed, no housekeeping unless you asked for it and I was not notified of this new rule The bed linens are thin and cheap, the A/C unit is loud For the money – it was a rip off
