The Compass Rose Inn is fabulous! The Innkeepers, Gloria and Ken are very welcoming, thoughtful and have all the best local knowledge I was in town for a business function and sadly only one night, but will definitely be back with the family for a weekend! Gloria was kind enough to beautifully gift wrap a present for my boss that I otherwise would have delivered in a brown paper bag That level of kindness and service you certainly don’t find everyday

Olivia Mains

Wow!! We came for a family overnighter and quickly decided we wanted to comeback for a longer stay The inn is on a side street off of the main road which makes walking to the main road (with tons of restaurants and coffee shops etc) easy and delightful The innkeepers were warm, accommodating, and accessible

The breakfast in the morning was delicious and I love that they had freshly brewed coffee as well as keurig coffee The house itself is just beautiful and the rooms feel so luxurious I just finished the show “Bridgerton” and I felt like I was staying in a room at one of the nobility’s great houses The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large Definitely book here if you are coming to Newburyport

Ellen Cunningham

The Compass Rose Inn was a great choice for spending a night in Newburyport after attending a wedding A little pricier than I normally go for, but the location and style were top notch It was right down the street from shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and the waterfront

We loved being able to walk to dinner and not have to deal with driving and parkingThe Inn itself is very clean and beautiful We stayed in a suite, which had a small sitting room, beautiful French doors to the bedroom, a nice bathroom with a deep soaking tub, and air-conditioning controlled in-room Everything you’d need for a comfortable stayBreakfast was family-style and delicious In addition to a small selection of muffins/bagels/tea breads, they offered cereals and yogurts or made-to-order cinnamon French toast Overall great stay, you won’t regret booking here

We stayed at the Ocean House hotel for our wedding We were getting married right next door and this was the perfect location to stay The staff was so nice and friendly

We needed a few items throughout the day while getting ready for the wedding and the staff was so nice and helpful whenever asked We worked closely with a young girl and gentlemen that gave us exceptional hospitality We would highly recommend staying here! The views are breathtaking especially from their roof deck!

Christopher Dee

Everything was what I would expectThe pool is awesome, view, and people were coolI will come back here again don’t forget the suntan lotion

I love the ocean and Gloucester So this is a great spot And the rooms face the ocean which is why I came here The Beaufort is beautiful but this is just as niceThis place came up when we were searching for places to go

Cathy Doucette

I have been coming here for 25 years with my daughters Unfortunately, we have witnessed this establishment decline in recent years It has the best location, view and other amenities

This year was the worst Room still not ready at 4 o’clock Pool was disgusting for 2 days – filter not working(?) Garbage not collected in our rooms, on the grounds, or in breakfast area Breakfast – lack of supply – don’t want to wait for 20 minutes to get coffee in the morning, and wipe your own tables down Had to go to front desk to get toilet paper Overall, I would say they are severely understaffed When I pay for a room with this price point, I expect more Sorry Bass Rocks, this is the end for us

My wife and I decided to take a trip to Salem, MA and we looked for accommodations in the area and found 0 availability We decided to take a chance in Gloucester, MA and sure enough, we found the perfect oasisThis hotel isn’t your ordinary hotel, but the view couldn’t be perfect

It overlooks the sea, like literally and sitting outside enjoying your coffee in the AM, hearing the waves hit the rocks is breath taking The rooms are comfortable and you feel like you are in your own cottage The AC system is by the window, easy to handle, and the pressure of the shower is incredible The main lobby is a lovely sitting area with well rounded staff and owners I had the opportunity to meet the owners and I cannot express how helpful, professional, and kind they all were during our stayI highly recommend this place, especially if you rent a car and need to get around and visit the nearby townsThank you again for a wonderful stay!

Cindy Newton

We were there in early October and enjoyed some of the most perfect weather There was a kitchenette and coffee maker in our room It was clean and had that quaint New England feel with goodies and fresh apples on the table

Each morning you could find me sitting out on the porch with a steaming cup coffee taking in the view of the ocean We had adjoining rooms with our family After a long day of taking in the sights it was nice to stretch out on our comfy beds and watch a movie on tv We suggest this location for all ages

Michaela S

The king room was clean and comfortable The decor is fun and modern The staff was friendly and attentive

The location is very convenient, right on Essex street within walking distance of the museums and many restaurants It was perfect for stopping to use the bathroom during the day, dropping leftovers off, and they have stations for filling your water bottle up The price was amazing for the location

Alfred Sampang

The Hotel Salem was an okay experience I would NOT recommend the Micro King We underestimated how small it would be and feel

It also wasn’t the cleanest Probably not terrible on hotel standards, but I think the room being so small, it was harder to clean and you felt closer to the dirty corners the cleaning crew clearly couldn’t reach Still, we did find an empty, dusty cup under our bed and the floors weren’t really well-mopped, which kind of gave us ideas of how dirty the bedding probably was, considering how hard it would be to make a bed which was touching the wall on 3 of 4 sidesIt would’ve been 3 stars, but the location itself and everything else about the hotel was great The front desk staff was friendly and helpful Very smooth check-in/check-outThe hotel was nice enough to hold our bags the last day after check out, so we could roam the area a bit more until we had to leave for our flights The location is absolutely prime for Salem, being right in the middle of several fantastic Salem places to see!

Holly Rousseau

Beautiful hotel! MCM decor was such a pleasant surprise From the lobby to the room to the roof top bar, beautiful! The two front desk ladies were so pleasant and helpful! The staff at the roof top bar were awesome as well Genuinely, no issues

The location is in the heart of Salem Our room was so clean, beautiful, updated and comfortable Highly recommend

My wife and I very recently chose Cape Ann’s Marina Resort for a week long vacation stay Overall we couldn’t have asked for better accommodations Loved the setting overlooking the Annisquam River and marina docks

The property is well kept, housekeeping superb and an extremely comfortable bed We arrived late due to a flight delay and there was Gary waiting for us by name in the check-in drive He filled us in on the facilities and area in the friendliest manner The next morning after walking the docks we stopped in at the restaurant bar and General Manager Patrick welcomed us with a complimentary beverage and visited with us about anything we wanted to know about the area and then some The entire staff at the Hotel & restaurant were top notch We really hated to leave after a week as it really felt like home!

Necole Jacobsen

My father just got back from a fishing trip and staying here I’m writing this on his behalf WORST HOTEL OF ALL TIME

Would give zero stars if ableThe pool has a row boat with fish in it so you can’t swim in the pool “because of COVID ” The female manager said “that’s how we keep people out” Every vending machine was filled BUT ALL were unplugged Each ice machine is marked “out of order” The manager told my father the night before the bags of ice were $5 The day they got the ice at 4am to head to the fishing charter, the Security Guard unlocked the freezer, after visibly having been sleeping, and said the bags are $10 The management said later that day that she thought they were staying another night and would need more ice so charged them double and of course management refused to give them their money back She was extremely rude the day my father and his friends checked out Needless to say, my father and his 5 fishing friends will NEVER be back

What a great hotel, perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to see Our room was spacious and clean, yes it had a tiny bathroom, but really why complain how much time do you really spend in it

The Hotel was beautiful, old world with modern amenities We had dinner in The Tavern, great food and drinks The front Desk staff was very helpful in directing us to a few coffee shops We are looking forward to our next visit

Kari Cousineau

Highly recommend this hotel I’ve never been to a place like this At first I thought my room was small (I think they called it economy), but I loved it! Little pricey, but no complaints

I would definitely stay here again Tyler at the front desk, as well as his staff, were top notch They helped us with recommendations and getting places They would remember us the next day and ask how things were with the recommendations Nathaniel’s Restaurant wasn’t 100% on service on one of the two days, but I’d be back Hotel was wonderful! Tip: Call even if it doesn’t show availability They may have some

Dave

Really nice time at this hotel Room was spotlessly clean and well kept A quite old hotel so bathrooms very very small

Bedding was extremely nice Large cut out at bottom of bathroom door curious Can’t find any reason on Google why one is needed???? Weird Still, we’d stay here again 3 stars only because no hot water pot / coffee, tea service in the room Plenty of room for that if they cared

Rachel Oconnell

We stayed in the Victorian part of the hotel It’s gorgeous and I love the charming touches, like they have self-serve coffee out in the lobby, a gazebo, a little china cabinet in the dining room, real metal keys, etc We were in the Daring Adventure room–each is themed!–and had a sliding door! What a fun place

Staff was great and accomodating No problem when I asked for a late check in very last-minuteI have a block there for my upcoming wedding because I know guests will be taken care of in a unique, relaxing space

Elena M

Don’t get fooled by the beautiful house on a pictures I thought we would be staying in the manor

But instead it was a separate building looking like a little cheap motelIt smelled, had no refrigerator, no coffee machine, no ice machine It was in a bad condition, smell odd Crash motel I would say We were awaken by landscapes cutting a bushes at 7am At least the territory and hotel room are clean -)Don’t recommend this place!!!

Beverly Ibey (Porsche’s mom)

The picture is misleading We stayed in a motel room that was not worth $200 a night It should be half that price

Breakfast cost extra (It was good) No coffee maker in the room The traffic noise outside our room kept me awake There was a balcony, but it seemed a bit shaky The view was tree tops The room was clean The bed was comfortable The website is misleading The tavern wasn’t open and only Breakfast is served for an additional cost It should be included at the price we paid There weren’t enough outlets to charge our devices The bathtub was dangerous for my elderly partner No handhold to safely negotiate entering and exiting the tub It was slippery under foot, when wet

I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful the staff at the Wylie Inn is They were incredibly accommodating to myself and my family while we were experiencing a death in the family David was incredibly kind and understanding and made sure our rooms were close by and were ready for a possible early check in

I couldn’t be more grateful

Lori Walter

Close to Salem which is good if you are wanting to stay close to Salem The room we stayed in was the smallest room I have ever been in, literally It’s ok if you only need a bed to sleep on but make sure you clarify what room you need based of how many people will be staying in the room, so you can actually move around in the room!!

Jennifer Hatzmann

The Wylie Inn is a nice hotel! The rooms are on the small side but are very functional Amenities in the room include a coffee maker (a mini keurig), a mini fridge, hair dryer, safe, soaps (hand, body, shampoo, conditioner and lotion too), and an alarm clock The room was clean and the bed was comfortable! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful

The bar wasn’t too bad either It is about a ten minute drive to Salem I would definitely stay here again

Can’t beat the location, the staff is so friendlyClean rooms and breakfast delivered to your door in the morning is quite specialAlso on our trip there was a storm out at sea, which made the waves huge And they were right outside our door

Very romantic and highly recommended

Leah Janey

The rooms were poorly up kept It was false advertising The rooms did not nearly meet what they advertise on their website

The exorbitant amount that they charge could not be justified with the lack of care in the room The floors were scruffy the walls were dirty the furniture was outdated I asked for someone to follow up with me And no one did

Jimmy Brazelton

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, but this has hands-down been the best experience I have ever had The rooms were nice, clean, and very charming The wifi was fast and the temperature was great, as was the water pressure

They checked all the boxesBut what really made them stand out was their service Everyone there was incredibly kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful The breakfast was incredible! It’s all cooked to order – just about anything you could want for breakfast, they’ll cook it for you We were there for a work meeting, and they let us meet in their tea room for extended periods – and they kept bringing us hot water for tea!We all absolutely adored this place and agreed that it would be our official New England meeting point for future meetings

Nicole Schneider

We booked the Garrison Inn as a weekend getaway for my 30th birthday!! This was one of the few places that allowed pets (our 65lb coonhound got to experience Newburyport!) It was close to downtown and all of the restaurants and rail trail/water walkway Check in was 4pm

We were there around 350pm had no problem checking in Two people at the front desk were very nice Quick check in and gave us keys and three papers One was put on our dash of our car and we were able to park right out front Other one was TV channels and third showed info about ice makers, checkout times, WiFi info Everything you needed to know We checked into room 306 with the king bed facing the park It had the soft music playing and rose pedals and a rose on the bed I was absolutely blown away There was a large king bed which was comfortable, tv, lounge chair, fireplace, desk and chair and bathroom Windows had wood shutters that opened Blocked all the light at night Very quiet area Bathroom had plenty of towels and large shower There was robes in the closet, a fridge, and even umbrella we utilized while walking our dog in the rain!! There was extra pillows and blankets in the closet so you didn’t have to bug anyone for additional blankets which we usually do Dimming lights on back wall and lots of tv channels to choose from There was bottled water for additional pricing ($5) or 24/7 room service for drinks/alcohol which we didn’t need to utilize There was a lot of great history to read on the walls about the inn Complimentary tea time was 7-10pm We were able to make our own tea and there were scones and cookies This was awesome Next morning there was complimentary breakfast that you ordered at the window Options from omelets, sandwiches to bagels Grapefruit juice and water as well as coffee and tea Just one man doing it all he was doing his best Checkout was 11am and so easy They even gave the dog a treat on her way out Just blown away as to how clean and beautiful this place was Can’t wait to come back again!

This is a very nice hotel! We truly enjoyed our stay here We had one of the larger rooms with king bed, two easy chairs with ottomans and a gas fireplace It was quite comfortable with a view of the beach and ocean

The staff was very nice We were there for our anniversary and it was duly recognized by the front desk We were surprised by a knock on our door with a staff member presenting us with a congratulatory card and small box of chocolatesHighly recommend this hotel if you plan on a few days in Gloucester and don’t mind spending a few extra bucksWe would have no qualms about booking here again

Kim Rodrigues

The hotel exudes luxury and is set in an almost perfect location The staff are friendly and accommodating We were able to check-in earlier which was very helpful

We were also surprised when staff offered to help with luggage and although we didn’t take them up on it we appreciated the offer The rooms are clean, modern and appropriately themed The views from the rooftop pool make you feel like you’re on a cruise We attended a wedding here which was spectacular – literally a dream venue I wish we got a chance to use the bikes or the beach but our time was limited The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect Despite the bed being comfortable, I wasn’t able to sleep well The only reason I’m giving this hotel a 4 star rating and not 5 is because of the extremely loud machinery sounds at the docks at night It felt like the window was open based on the placing of the air conditioner and I’m not sure what’s happening on the docks between 2am and 5am but it’s difficult to sleep peacefully I’ve read other comments that I’ve mentioned the same prior to my visit and was disappointed about this I’m hoping that management could look into this further

Suzanne Blake

Lovely place with great staff, elegant decor and location! My husband and I like to go to romantic and upscale hotels for our birthdays or special days like Valentines day One of the hotels our friends recommended was closed, so we took a small risk and went to the Beauport We are glad we did! Everyone was so friendly, helpful, polite and the decor was cozy, ,warm and clean

The boutique has a fun Valentine’s day event with champagne and sweets, and it was beautifully done and decorated Dinner in the bar was delicious and plentiful and our room was tastefully decorated with a lovely waterfront view Can’t wait to come back in warmer weather!

I’ve been taking my family to Gloucester every summer for years! Simply put it’s so beautiful in the summer and so much fun you almost want to keep it to yourself The Good Harbor Beach Inn has the most beautiful location of any place not only in Gloucester but on the entire North Shore They have new owners and the rooms have all been remodeled and upgraded

Not only that but they really stepped up when my son and I got into a car accident near the inn A few weeks ago I took my family for an overnight stay on a unusually hot weekend After checking into the hotel, enjoying an afternoon at the beach(it’s literally right on the beach) my son and I went to pick up dinner from a place near by Out of nowhere a bunch of kids ran a stop sign and totaled my car My son was fine but I ended up in the ER to get checked out Not only did the staff drive my wife and son to the ER to see me they picked me up and drove me back to the inn I have to say I was shaken but the entire staff treated us all like family that weekend helping us sort things out being careless They even offered the use of there cars if we need to get something One person even got con’d by my son for a ride to get ice cream from down the street We ended up having to stay an extra night while we sorted out how to get home, they gave us a free night stay and I can’t say how grateful we are When the rental car place opened Monday a staff member came on her day off to give us a ride to get a rental vehicle These people are so fantastic I wouldn’t dare stay anywhere else They treated us like family and were so comforting during a nightmare Thanks to them we managed to get home safely

I wish the owner would sink some money into upkeep, I don’t mind the dated rooms (actually enjoy the relic feel) but the courtyard, weeds, and general repair needed just screams neglect Gail is great!Shame, many of our friends we’ve met are starting to feel the same way…

Kim Lucas

LOVE this Inn Accommodating, Friendly, down to earth, hard working Staff Rooms are clean and maintained well

The inn is dated, no big amenities, No wifi However those who know, know that is of no concern The location, can not be beat, you are literally on the beach, no long lines waiting to get to one of the most popular beaches in town Evening and early mornings coffee or night caps on the courtyard with the sound of waves crashing is the best They book fast make reservations early

The Julietta House was a wonderful place to stay The house is beautiful and very clean We had access to snacks, coffee, and tea any time, plus breakfast food

It was comfortable and offered full use of the house including a living room and screened in porch We often visit Gloucester and Rockport We have stayed at the Julietta House on two separate occasions The owner, Susan is lovely

Julietta House is a great place to stay near the best of downtown Gloucester This historic home is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable and clean rooms The kitchen is stocked with breakfast items and coffee set up in a self serve style with access to living and dining rooms

All of your needs are met with respect to privacy – love this Thank you and look forward to my next stay!

Comfortable, charming, good locationVisiting Gloucester for a wedding in mid September, we had a wonderful stay at Julietta House The house is a fine example of a well preserved and tastefully updated mid 1800’s building The owner was there when we arrived, made us feel welcome, and provided a vast amount of area site seeing information

The house is located in a busy, but quiet area, and only a five minute walk to the Main Street restaurant and shopping area, and just one more block to the heart of the harbor Gloucester is a great place to visit, and the Julietta House is a great choice for a place to stay If visiting Gloucester again, we will return

Amazing location and beautiful hotel with breathtaking views, a pool overlooking the ocean and overall beautiful grounds They have done a wonderful job and restoring this property to its old time charm My husband booked a night away for me and this place to rest and recover and it was wonderful

For a fairly new hotel there is a lot of room for improvement on their staff hospitality readiness and training and overal customer experience, the staff was polite but for the price of this hotel I was expecting top service which unfortunately wasn’t met Another downside is the kitchen offers only light fare and there are no options available for delivery at least while I was there Going downtown for a meal is a short drive Away but be mindful during high season parking is virtually impossible

Five stars- a quiet, newly renovated, secluded spot on the New England coast Sleepy still nights, Edward Hopper light-filled rooms – beautiful earthy local seashore paintings and comfy antique furniture Local bread – good coffee

Lush carpets – dining room with high ceilings and calm with alabaster abstract paintings, oak bar sitting room with sea views – lawn reaching out to the bay Crazy giant sauna bubble bath with under water light/whoa Kennedy for a day

We had a lovely experience at this majestic hotel While the room was small, waking up to the sunrise on the ocean was Everything!! The highlight of our stay was the entertainment on Thursday evenings in the summer Tom Smoker and Friends performed for over 2 hours! This was a room filled with gifted, amazing talent

Our 12 year old son plays piano and he was invited to play a tune! THANK YOU for an unforgettable birthday!

We had a wonderful stay at Harbor Light Inn! The location is perfect within Marblehead – walking distance to several great restaurants and shops The inside of the Inn is beautiful Plenty of places to sit and relax, read a book, have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine

The courtyard/pool area in the back is very well-kept It feels like an oasis! The room was quite comfortable with updated/modern bathroom We loved that breakfast was included Each day, we filled out our meal selections for the following morning, what time we’d like to eat, and then dropped it off at the front desk We got a call to our room the next morning when our breakfast was ready, and we picked up the tray in the dining room The weather was nice, so we ate outside in the courtyard, but the dining room inside is spacious, or you could eat back up in your room Such a great system! The staff was friendly and accommodating Parking in the back was easy and convenient I really have nothing negative to say!

We stayed for the weekend for my birthday and celebrating our engagement! The place was beyond what we expected It was very cozy and well maintainedThe entire Inn is just cute and stunning with character and so historical! It was so nice to be in such a unique old building

We loved and enjoyed sitting by each fire place in the rooms downstairs The tavern was such a cute touch and to just be able to get a drink an sit in any other room available downstairs was also great! Carolyn was beyond the sweetest and accommodating We were unfamiliar with the area so she helped us locate some great restaurants near by All other staff and others staying in the hotel were just so friendly The room was beautiful, I enjoyed the spa jacuzzi the most and the fire place in the room was cute! I love how they give you robes during your stay too For Breakfast you mark your card and drop it off with your time for in the morning and when we came downstairs it was brought to us right on time!We did not want to leave! We cannot wait to book and be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed in room 22 for the night The bathroom blew us away with how nice it was The jet pool was amazing and everything looked newly updated and very modern

The bedroom is spacious, comfy, and fits more into the historical, older style of the hotel The fireplace is a great plus The ONLY 2 downsides to the room, is the lack of refrigerator in the room, which hurt to throw away some expensive leftovers, and the windows being seemingly broken so I couldn’t get any fresh air in Staff was great, place is beautiful, would definitely return and recommend

We were a large group occupying four rooms, and the establishment was incredibly accommodating, comfortable, and reasonably priced for the area Good beds, even the roll-out couch was fine, and plenty of clean linens (once you figure out the hotel’s self-service system) Restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, and any time I had a question, management replied and helped

One evening our group was up a bit late, and the “gentle reminder” of the quiet policy was perfect Thank you Highly recommend

A great choice when you need a place to stay in the North Beverly area The prices were great, and the room size was large Like a tiny apartment, with a full-size refrigerator, and plates and cutlery

Keyless entry, and person-less reception was great They were very communicativeOnly negative was there was a slight musty smell to the room Perhaps because it hadn’t been used in a while But it was clean, no problem there👍🏻

Gina LeMay

Very pleased with the Beverly Hotel The room was clean and I liked having a kitchen for breakfast and lunch The staff is friendly and I love the app they shared having all the information you need about the hotel and surrounding area

Nice touch – wish all hotels had thisIn addition, we were traveling so that my son could attend a baseball camp at Endicott College, I was easily able to set up “an office” at the table space in the room and have a nice working area WIN-WINOverall, great find, location and space

The moment you step on the property you feel a sense of calm The decor and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful Mornings spent sipping coffee on the porch with the smell of jasmine and spectacular views was a wonderful way to start the day, along with the exceptional breakfast and service

The beach was a stone’s throw away and the property itself is breathtaking We rented the Inn for our daughter’s wedding and it was beyond perfect! The staff was exceptional! We can’t wait to return

Susan Wall

This property is lovely and quite peaceful The staff exceeded expectations by being outgoing and so friendly but totally professional It was easy to see they enjoyed working there and went above and beyond to make our stay special

It was our 45th anniversary and we wanted to stay somewhere romantic and quiet…this more than fit the bill for us We ordered the cheese and fruit plate with a bottle of wine, which they offered to switch to champagne, one night and sat on the front porch in rockers and just watched the water and birds soaring and diving and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the evening The Inn offered fresh lemonade and cookies every afternoon; free and delicious breakfast and you could order alcoholic drinks made and served to you in the evenings It was actually lovely that there were no tvs in the rooms for a nice change as well The property set on 137 acres was very walkable and you could either walk or drive up to the manor house to glimpse the grand lifestyle of the past The beds and pillows were quite comfortable, linens silky, towels fluffy and a great shower and bathroom with lovely amenities The AC struggled one night with the extreme temperatures but the fan in the room made it tolerable and the following night it was fine I liked that it was a gated property and felt like we were in a secure location Great restaurant recommendations…check out CK Pearl in Essex a short drive from the Inn All in all a very memorable stay in a quality property with staff that obviously care and are there to meet your needs and requests with a genuine smile

Marilyn B

We’ve been staying here for years and the inn never disappoints I would call it a luxury B&B The rooms are nicely decorated with great amenities

What a lovely place to stay while in Gloucester! If we weren’t so busy I could have spent half the day just taking in the beautiful decor We stayed for one night in the Essex room It was very cosy and the bed was what dreams are made of! We prefer the hominess of an inn versus the sterility of a hotel and we were very happy

We will definitely return if we travel back to Gloucester!

Brian Thiebault

First, let me say that the innkeepers were very welcoming and friendly The location, across the street from a public beach, is well situated Based on the amazing (too amazing?) Google reviews and room charge (~$300), I was expecting a pretty nice room/experience

I don’t usually leave reviews, but here’s why I was disappointed: the mattress was way past its prime (sunken and lumpy) and needs to be replaced; no phone charging stations near the bed or in the room at all (used bathroom outlets); no box of tissues in the room; broken parts on shower door; tub grout needs replacing; limited and bargain brand toiletries; no water bottles Beyond that, the room is a just bit worn in general It sounds like they used to serve a breakfast, now there is coffee, some granola bars, and hard boiled eggs Even offering some muffins or yogurt would have been nice since nothing is in walking distance There is some nice seating outdoors on the lawn Location alone shouldn’t dictate price – the sum of the experience needs to be worth it In any case, with a bit of work and investment, everything I’ve mentioned is easily corrected
