My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and I could not be happier with the accommodations The bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing We felt well taken care of by literally everyone we came into contact with

The front desk always had smiles and asked how our day was, the valet was always quick, and the two women at the bar were so kind We walked down to Caribou Coffee two blocks down both days and felt safe This hotel is in an ideal spot and seems to be like 15 minutes from everything! We went to the spa and used some of the amenities before we left and felt so refreshed Just a heads up, you can get a day pass to the spa for $50 dollars per person If you have some downtime, I highly recommend it Great stay and we will definitely be back

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had an amazing stay! Some of the nicest accommodations we have ever had anywhere Briana made sure our stay was extra special and went above and beyond for us Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful! My wife had an amazing massage at the Adna Spa that is located on site

Breakfast in bed was delicious and high quality The whole place was incredibly clean We will definitely be coming back to Hotel Ivy next time we are staying in Minneapolis!

CHRISTINE NEHLS

The hotel is so clean and lavish We always upgrade to the high level floors where it’s most quiet All of our encounters with front desk staff, room service, house keeping, and engineering is impeccable

We always seem to have an issue with valet service including our most recent stay on 2/19/22-2/20/22 Upon arrival a young valet did not help the passenger out of the vehicle which is in very busy one way traffic nor did he assist the driver, just stood there and told us to leave our keys in the car and he left it unattended on a busy down town Minneapolis street We had to get our own luggage rack When you’re paying $48/day + tip, you expect a little more That afternoon upon trying to retrieve our car, the same young man and different young man acted like we were a huge inconvenience as a “walk up” even though we explained our text ticket didn’t work When returning that evening an extremely lovely older gentleman with a pony tail helped the passenger out of the car from heavy traffic and talked with the driver to make sure there was nothing further he could do for service before parking That’s what earns good tips and respect The same gentleman retrieved our car at check out and was so gracious in seating the passenger and loading our bags The Ivy needs to have that gentleman run a training course for its younger valet staff members

Hotel is near the major highway Stayed for work right across the road Staff was extremely helpful when trying to check in early from a flight (@ 11 AM)

Had to wait about 30 minutes but we went to grab some food and returned to a ready room Pretty good but simple continental breakfast If you have a view from the south side, it’s pretty nice If there’s only one thing to nitpick, the room we stayed in was a tiny bit outdated but nonetheless clean and spacious Will stay here again when in town

Mark Zamek

We stayed here recently during vacation with our 6 lb Maltese On day three we were called by the front desk and asked to check out of the Hotel because our 6 lb dog (who has never bit anyone in his life but will lick you as long as you want) bit one of the staff When I enquired as to details I was given none

We always had the do not disturb on our door None of the staff was interested in talking to us Then when we got back to our room the room was cleaned and ready for other guests and our things from the room were all removed So in addition to displacing my family and having to scramble to find another place to stay, I now had to track down the manager to get our thingsI am titanium and my wife is ambassador level so it’s not like we don’t have status The staff here didn’t careAs sourcing manager for a multi National global company, I have taken Marriott off of our approved vender list I can’t chance that our employees will be displaced and distracted from business with incidence such as this We will focus on the Hilton brand

Despite being part of the Marriott Bonvoy program for many years, this the first time I stayed in a hotel of their W brand, and the experience was great Service was excellent during my stay both in the front desk and in the Prohibition Bar The hotel is well-located, close to many eateries and attractions downtown

However, what most impressed me was the Foshay’s design I love hotels that have an extra care with their design elements and, in some of the major chains, it is hard to find something truly distinctive Given the historical nature of the building, there are strong Art Deco elements everywhere However, the interior designers were able to add many modern touches that look both glitzy and historic, while delivering a contemporary touch, especially with the use of multi-colored accent walls Just the right amount of personality — a little more and it would look pretentious The rooms are also very well designed The basic room where I stayed was definitely small (it is an old building, after all) but the use of the right furniture makes it look much more spacious The restroom is very comfortable, and I loved the large rain shower, with the area covered with the same tiles on the walls and on the floor Definitely a place I will return to in a future trip to Minneapolis

I give this 3 stars instead of 5 for this reason My husband and I came to Minneapolis for his Grandmother’s 90th birthday This is my first trip to the city

I booked the hotel over a month ago My husband and I have different last names and sometimes get confused on whose name is under Upon our arrival to the hotel we were greeted rather hastily by the woman at the front desk She asked us our name, and for our ID, right away She then very sticky said she couldn’t find us and in the same sentence asked for our confirmation number As my husband was looking for the reservation she kept repeating herself that we were not in the system As he stated to read the number he red 2 digits and she cut him off and said we didn’t book it with them that wasn’t their confirmation number She then grabbed my husband’s phone and started to scroll through flipped it around shoved it in his face and said that we booked it for the day before and that we were no call no shows I was blind sided Everything was moving so fast and she was now taking to us in such a condescending manner I was getting upset I finally said to her to look it up under my husband’s name She rolled her eyes and did She told me I needed to be better organized Started to rattle off our room number and how to get there and stopped acknowledging me She made me so mad I started to call around to other hotels because I no longer wanted to stay The 3 starts is for the fun and elaborate decor Nothing to do with the staff because we were never greeted or acknowledged in our 4 day stay at $690 total

Lizsandra Edwards

I have never stayed at this hotel but I recently did pay a visit The best part? The observance deck is amazing! We got keys at the front desk so we could access the elevators and we went up to the 30th floor You’ll find a small museum when you exit and then you can take the stairs up which will lead you to an exit where you can go outside and see a beautiful view of the city

It was a great place to take photos We also made our way down to an area where we sat and ordered drinks The main floor had a very cool fire place and live music too! Many things to do in just one building The worst part? Parking is too hard to find and expensive so we ended up doing valet which was a little over $20 total It is also more of a dark, fancy ambient so it won’t be everyone’s vibe Drinks were also about $17-$20 each which may be too expensive for some but we were having a nice evening with a visiting friend so it was worth it for us

Teri Sellner

This hotel was so nice and accommodating I had eye surgery next door and they gave us exactly the kind of room we needed, ground floor, handicap accessible room The front desk employees were super nice, especially Michelle and Mandie

The weather was bad, and we didn’t know if we should stay another day and they were very understanding We ended up staying anyway and were very glad we did Super breakfast, too! We will definitely stay here again!

Ellie Greenhouse

The room was very comfortable and the perfect size for our small family There was even room to open our pack n play The hot tub was broken but the pool itself is heated so that was an added bonus

The breakfast was a little different than I expected, but I think it’s fair given that we’re still in a pandemic Overall, we’d definitely stay here again

Brianna Tuttle

I stayed here for my brothers baseball tournament and it was a nice hotel to stay at for 5 daysThe breakfast had many options to choose from and a breakfast room where you could sit down The pool and hot tub were nice and relaxing

Could have been a little cleaner The staff was super friendly They let our baseball team and family use the breakfast room to eat dinner with everyone Rooms were manageable The pullout couch was the thing I had the biggest problem with When you pulled it out in the normal rooms, it was hitting the nightstand right there and you had to go over the whole thing in order to get to the kitchen area and the door It was also very uncomfortable I ended up just sleeping on the couch itself rather than the pullout That’ll be the better option Also the elevator was a little scary Everytime I went on it, I felt like it was gonna break down Hard starts and hard stops The area isn’t the best either A man tried to offer me to come in his car in the parking lot It was really creepy at night But very close to fun activities like Target field and mall of America! If you are trying to stay in this hotel for a vacation, I do not recommend it

We really enjoyed our stay, and rarely write reviews, but had to call out how awesome the accommodations were We had a terrible Airbnb experience and left immediately with 2 small dogs, and after the calling the hotel, they quickly accommodated us and provided everything we needed whenever we visited the lobby, or asked questions The rooms are clean, quiet, and all the amenities are at your fingertips including laundry, nearby grocery store/dining, and safe parking

Thank you again to the wonderful staff!

Anita Kozan

I chose the Homewood Suites in St Louis Park MN after having a fire in my home and having to leave because of smoke damage The front desk staff, housekeepers, breakfast room chef and host/hostess, and maintenance staff were all strictly first class! My suite was wonderful, clean and beautifully appointed

The hotel lobby and breakfast area were lovely and comfortable The staff were absolutely the best! Thank you all for taking such good care of me during a difficult time

Scott K

Stayed here before, decent hotel, shower not the best but rooms are spacious Don’t plan on Hilton coffee all day, they will leave a cold pot out and not brew anymore Housekeeping leaves dirty sheets and towels in piles down your hallway all day and night, did not appreciate that, happened last time as well

Funky orders and dirty sheets are not what I was hoping for

Super nice pool and hot tub Which is open late I especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace and grounds areas Never had to search for a parking spot Lots of restaurants choices to choose from A large grochery store and convenient store in the immediate area Location is prime It feels secluded and safe but still only minutes from downtown Minneapolis I return here just for a nice get away Price is absolutely fair, honestly its amazing to find this gem Always treated with respect

Sona Majere

I have stayed at this HIE before – pre covid – and came back again Pretty good Close to downtown and easy to get to from the highway

Variety of restaurants just across the street Fairly quiet – some noise from the highway but not too bad Decent breakfast included Free parking is always a plus My only issue is the hotel seemed damp Not sure why but it could use a dehumidifying system to dry it out

Amazing hotel, awesome staff working for security and breakfast shifts However, the bar staff were snooty and I’m truly astounded by a member working at the front reception I lost my purse and asked her to check in lost & found

She said she couldn’t find it and was extremely nonchalant – she didn’t try to reassure me or treat the matter as high priority (there were no other customers/guests to serve) I wasted a half hour panicking and nearly reported it to the police Her colleague thankfully reviewed the camera footage and saw that someone had turned in, sure enough it was where I asked her to look Waste of my time and horrible customer service – train your staff!

Never been disappointed with this hotel Wife and I have been coming here for years

it’s actually our little escape Have always been treated extremely well, service in the lounge has always been great, and the restaurant is really good Nice comfortable and non generic hotel Decided to stay a night for our anniversary, and there was champagne and snack tray waiting I have traveled a lot and this is a hidden gem

Tayler Trottier

Was told over the phone when made my reservation that I was getting a double queen bed room for 165/night Got there and they gave us a double bed room for 225 a night and told me they had no others rooms and would not switch me Staff was very rude if I could find or talk to anyone

Warm water was scarce if you wanted to shower And the staff told me I could not get extra towels The lady Watching over the pool was very rude and yelled at multiple children Definitely do not stay if you have any children under the age of 18 Was told only some rooms come with the continental breakfast and our double room was one that didn’t Elevators had problems all day, started taking the stairsOverall experience: worst hotel I have ever stayed at I DO NOT recommend this for anyone! If you do stay, make sure it’s the room you asked for the the price they say

Cybertow

Right away the hotel will get your attention as it is very large, and uniquely builtThe service however has been poor since I arrived I asked at the front desk when we arrived if I could purchase a room upgrade which I was quickly told no

Clerk at the counter refused to look in the computer system Later in the evening I went to the bar to get myself a drink, I arrived at 10 and sat down at the bar, and tried to order myself a drink where I was turned away by the manager who said they were closed When I questioned about the half full room of customers who were enjoying their drinks he asked me to leaveI definitely have a bad taste in my mouth about the service and do not recommend staying at this hotel is you want good service

We stayed here for Valentine’s Day as a staycation We live in the Twin Cities but wanted to do something special It was a lot of fun

We used their valet service which was nice We also took advantage of their rooftop spa, this was so amazing It’s a great place for just a special night They are extremely dog friendly so if you have a furry friend bring them along The only downfall, we had horrible service in the attached restaurant We stopped in for a late night drink and a snack in the bar area, our server ignored us the entire time Didn’t bring plates, napkins or silverware with the appetizer we ordered Finally got her attention and asked for napkins (we had ordered cheese curds – greasy – napkin was necessary) she finally sent someone else over after we were done and told them we didn’t need them anymore She was completely engaged with another table showing them pictures on her phone and carrying on a long conversation It was ridiculous

FIREmaynerdRN

The hotel is beautiful It’s fairly easy to find and pull up front The roof- top hot tub and sky line view were awesome! The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable

We didn’t get a chance to check out the bar/restaurant but they look promising The valet experience could use a little work When paying over $400/night for the room and $48 for valet we were expecting for at least a little help unloading vehicles and bringing luggage to our room When leaving- call plenty early for the valet It took at least a half hour from the time we called to get the vehicle

C Parkman

The Hewing is no doubt a beautiful place to stay and well done for the city However the price you pay for a night doesn’t quite match the quality of what you get unfortunately For a price tag of $420 for a king size city view we were expecting a bigger room, plush hotel towels, robe’s, a more comfortable bed with a waterproof mattress cover that doesn’t make that plastic sound when you move on it, and at least a bottle or two of complementary water

We went up to the rooftop jacuzzi to enjoy the evening and it was right next to the roof top bar, which anyone can get into, so all the bar attendees are watching the hot tubers, it was a very weird and uncomfortable set up Needless to say we didn’t get it Your paying Ritz prices without the amenities

I arrived shortly before the 3 pm check in I was informed my room was not ready yet No big deal

The worker let me know that he would tell me once my room was ready He must have forgotten since he shortly after 3 pm I waited in the long line that had formed to speak with a different front desk worker We had booked the king suite with the jacuzzi tub It was extremely difficult to open and close the door to the room The room was put together but the fixtures were questionable The front pannel for the tub was halfway off The room smelt slightly wet The floor by where the tile and carpet meet was spongyThe mattress was off of the rotate cycle – the tag of the mattress was January, February, March We stayed in August They do not properly flip and rotate the mattress Only noticed this because we check for bed bugs None of those thankfullyThe grout in the shower looked dirty The wall by the bathroom sink was dirty, like someone splashed coffee on the wall The wall by the garbage and mini fridge was also dirty, pretty sure there was blood on the wallBreakfast was okay The pool area was clean

Jessica Wood

There were SEVERAL hairs on the floor of then bathroom The bathroom was filthy Workout room filthy

Bathroom near check-in desk filthy Walls dented and dirty Both pools closed with no warning I checked in, worked out, found some sort of bone/food item on the floor of the gym, went to the room to find what appeared to be hair from several different people on the bathroom floor, asked for a refund and left I have no idea where these good reviews are coming from

Samantha Visinski

If I could leave less than one star, I would This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in The rooms are filthy

There is hair everywhere Hair all over the bathroom floor, on the towels, in the bed The room was dusty, cob webs, tile coming off the walls in the bathroom, what looks like blood on the bathroom walls, the mirrors and windows have prints/splashes all over them I had to change the sheets myself When I asked the manager, Charlie, to have a full room cleaning and came back to see nothing done he told me that I only asked for it to be dusted (which it wasn’t) and didn’t care about my concerns of the cleanliness of the room When I went back again he told me there is nothing he can do, rolled his eyes and had an incredibly bad attitude The breakfast is a small kitchen where you make your own waffles, stale bread, and cold eggsI will never stay at this hotel or it’s brand due to the way I was treated by the manager, Charlie, and the lack of cleanliness

Couldn’t be happier with this hotel Small hotel charm with beautifully decorated room Bathroom was spacious and had lots of natural, yet private light from frosted windows

Huge walk in full tile shower Bedding was clean, new, yet soft Thick and heavy window treatments kept plenty of light out in the morning, much appreciated Our room had a private outdoor deck/patio that was fairly secluded and our favorite part complementary anti pasto app and wine on arrival Delicious complementary breakfast as well Breakfast was beyond our expectations My husband prefers full leaf tea and is hard to please and said the tea was amazing Breakfast pastries were fresh and tasted even better than they looked Oranged juice was freshly squeezed Bathroom had ample shampoo and body wash in herbal refreshing scent my husband loved We will definitely recommend and return!

Jack Rusher

Pros:Well decorated rooms, central location, friendly staffCons:Because there is little sound insulation between the second floor rooms and the bustling bar/cafe downstairs, they’re very loud The proprietors seem to know this, as there’s a white noise machine in the room, but it doesn’t do much good if you’re hoping for actual quiet

The included “breakfast” is a pastry and drip coffee If you want an espresso-based coffee, a flat white in my case, it’s offered at the eye popping rate of $5 Egg? Be prepared to pay This policy felt hostile and penny pinching given the cost of the room

Guy that made my omelette in the morning was wonderful Make sure you tip those people when you’re staying here My only complaint is it’s starting to show it’s age Needs a little TLC and updating in the rooms Room was pretty clean, could have been better though If I’m in the area for the right price I would stay here again

They charged my account $75 for a registered service animal that has documentation They violated the ADA, American disability Act They say they don’t see the difference between a pet and a service animal

I reported them to Hilton and will report them with the Agency They can’t make there own rules as they go along They claim they charge the fee for cleaning Just to give you some insight, the room they initially gave us was smelly and disgusting The second room where we ended up staying was dirty, we ended up doing a thorough clean and disinfect Shower was grotesque, both phones did not work, only 1 remote for 2 tvs in different areas We stayed 6 full days and housekeeping NEVER cleaned our room It’s funny to me that they want to charge a fee when we dealt with all these things, truly ridiculous They must be really hard up for money if they are discriminating against people with disabilities and disregarding the law

I was really disappointed in this location Front desk customer service was just not there No smiles

First night, the woman behind the counter was on her phone and didn’t acknowledge me when I was looking for the convenience shop When I showed up another day, a different woman was on a smoke break out front and I had to wait We checked out early because of all the box elder bugs in our room The room was not in great shape either There was a lot of wear and tear Terrible experience for the price

We stayed there last week and the room and hotel were nice However, the service we have received was less than what we have ever gotten at a Hilton brand hotelAn item was left there on accident and we called within an hour of leaving and left a message with housekeeping and the front desk about where the item was left

No one followed up with us on if they had found it or not I called the next 3 days each and got no responses i was transferred to corporate who said they would escalate the case and find out why i was never contacted Several days later after hearing nothing again, i emailed corporate and they said it would have to be handled at the hotel since it fell under lost and foundI would have been content if someone called and said they were looking for it or could not find it But it has been 9 days since our stay we i have still received no communication from the hotelWe have stayed at Hilton hotels many times and have been overall pleased with the experience in the past However, I would not recommend staying at this particular location It will meet your needs if you just need a room to stay and want appropriate service during your stay If you are looking for good service before and after your stay, i would encourage you to find a different hotel

Check in was a breeze Be aware there is a $50 refundable deposit but that is typical Room was clean, spacious, & modern

Unfortunately there was maintenance being done on the pool & hot tub during my stay Affordable for Hilton if you book through a 3rd party site I don’t really have anything bad to say about this place My stay was amazing!

I paid about the same amount to stay at the Holiday in as I did here and definitely would go with Holiday in instead The double tree does not provide free breakfast in the morning like Holiday in didHoliday inn has a big breakfast selection and really good! Fresh fruits, juices, and healthy stuff

Also the hot tub was down so I took stars away for that Also they had barely any channels 😕On a positive note for Double Tree, I liked that double Tree was close restaurants, shopping, theater and groceries stores though!

Service was friendly and Bob the “breakfast guy” puts a fantastic spread out for the free Continental breakfast Only wish I would have packed my bathing suit to enjoy the heated saltwater pool!!!

I have stayed at this property in 2020 everything went fine I recently stayed in March my stay was fine Everything was good until a few days after I check out i get noticed via my HR that it was cake left all over one of my rooms

The room i personally stayed in I been working for Hilton since March or 2010 I have traveled to other country’s as a Hilton team member and never had a experience like this Before I check out rooms I even make sure everything is good and leave a tip No way on earth I would ever let my 11 year old son leave a room in that condition or even attempt to do something like that in a room Yes I’m saying someone at this hotel did that to my room Due to the fact that I don’t have pictures of videos of when i checked out it’s basically my word against theirs Since this experience I will be recording everytime I’m checking out a room

I had a number of issues with this placeCons first:LACKED IN THESE THREE AREAS:CleanlinessSafetyAmenitiesThe first room that we were given was NOT properly cleaned there was still beer bottles and towels on the floor from the previous residence (see photos) It was absolutely filthy

Luckily one of the staff was very nice and was able to find us another room immediately His name was Jeremy and he was very kind and professional about itAlso they didn’t clean our room on any of the days that we were there until we explicitly asked them to That was quite frustratingWhen they did clean the room they brought us dirty towels that were stained yellow like it was from urine (see attached photos)Next safety was an issue The main point that was an issue was the level of ice in the parking lot Even though I was extremely careful I ended up slipping and hurting my arm The parking lot had no salt or anything to ensure patrons could safely walk to their car This is a huge safety concern especially if you plan on leaving the hotel or renting a carNext was the issue with the amenities The plug point in the room for USB charging was not working by the bed The shower had no soap or shower gel in the dispenser There were spatulas and other cooking amenities BUT there was no stove or anything to cook on The bathroom had a tissue box but no tissues in itPros:The location is quite nice and is right along a major highway so it has easy access to the surrounding area as well as downtown Also there’s a convenience store within walking distance which makes it extremely easy for quick snacks There’s also a restaurant and a number of other fast food joints in the surrounding area making this a nice place to stay for a couple days Also the staff was very friendly and professional The decor in the rooms and throughout the facility is very modern and clean looking I do appreciate the aestheticoverall the pictures of this place online show a very nice and clean environment but that was not my experience I do not recommend staying here If you can afford it I would spring for something slightly nicer If you cannot I had relatively good experiences at the Red roof inn which is just down the street

Where do I even start to share how truly remarkable and fabulous this motel is! We were there with family to celebrate our daughter’s wedding Particularly outstanding was the check-in staff and the lady who managed the bistro bar Every question and request was more than adequately addressed and we truly felt like we were VIPs

Teri in sales was our point of contact and we could have not been served better by her, from the get-go! Tami at the West and Brittani at the Courtyard were also particularly helpful! Thank you, thank you, thank you, we are so grateful We are now Marriott customers from here on out!

Pleasantly surprised Typically don’t frequent Marriott, was concerned because the exterior looked oldChecked in extremely late, (midnight) young lady at the desk was professional, informative and courteous

Room was clean and organized, plenty of coffee and water availableStarbucks on-site and restaurantComfortable bed and sofa, close proximity to where I need to be, good experience no issues, will return!

We were here for a wedding Beautiful venue, good food, friendly staff What was lacking was the handicap accessibility

My mother in law has to use a wheelchair Some of the doors didn’t have the push button, and we really struggled to get her in the restroom I had to have someone hold the door for us and barely got through the door Had she wheeled herself there she wouldn’t have been able to get in Maybe there’s a restroom more handicap accessible, but I didn’t see any signs Beautiful place, just not very handicapped friendly
