Perfect Even though my room faced I-26, I couldn’t hear the highway There was a fire pit I saw people enjoying, but I didn’t use it since it was unusually cold for SC that night

Also, the breakfast included was actually a voucher worth $24, so I just loaded up on fancy smart water and snacks since I was on a road trip Overall, a good value and nice hotel No safety concerns and I was fortunate to park right out front and saw security doing patrols too

Amber H

Very nice hotel despite the surrounding location Friendly staff, excellent bartender Only flaw was the room phone not working and noticed stains on the inside of the pillow but they had 2 pillowcases on them probably for that reason

The alarm clock was also turned on and we didn’t know until 5am the next day but oh well We loved the complimentary cookies and waters upon arrival

Chris Ransome

Had a really good time in Charleston The rooms were very nice and clean The staff at the front desk (African American lady) was super amazing

I watched how she interacted with other customers as well and I have to say, that is the type of customer service that you look for when walking into a location I wish I had ask you for your name because you definitely need the recognition that you deserve 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿

The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was spot on cool for the hot climate I would stay here again and again if we were in the area Quito’s to the management staff, when employees are treated well and respected it shows in their work ethic I bet this is a fun place to work as well Thanks for a great stay!!!

We love Hyatt Place so when we saw that was where our baseball team had blocks we were super excited The outside and lobby were clean and looked like what we were used to The carpet in the 3rd floor hall looked like it had seen better days

Looked super dirty and was even coming up at spots in the center of the hall We got to our room and the thermostat had been set to 78 HEAT so it was a hot box in there It was set up a little differently than we were used to as far as where the bed was vs the couch and the very small dresser but no big deal Room was clean I wish they would sanitize the remotes or at least let us know they did (other hotels are placing in a bag or adding a sticker that it had been sanitized) The reason I’m only giving 3 stars (barely 3 stars) was bc the beds were hard We stayed 3 nights and I didn’t sleep well all 3 nights Definitely not something we were used to with Hyatt Place and sad to say, if we come back we won’t be staying here It’s really hard to enjoy a day at the field when you haven’t been able to sleep well

Lashona Vines

My husband frequents Hyatt Place even before we were married Earning points this weekend for a free room; we did not expect to get the worse room in the building or maybe the whole building is just lacking in many ways Besides, a great and peaceful sleep experience, we were disappointed in the room overall

We were here for the Cooper bridge run The outside of the building needs pressure washing The curtains in our room were dirty I could literally see stains The bathroom shower did not appear to be clean as I saw hair and dark particles The toilet handle needed to be held to complete the flush The shower head was weak and limited to no water pressure along with it taking 10 minutes for the water to get warm , and never hot The lobby smelled clean but the elevator floors were not maintained throughout the weekend and the elevator seemed slow to reach the floors Overall we were disappointed in the room and will never return to Hyatt place unless it’s in an upscale location where the service is the utmost priority

Dede T

One of the things I liked best about this hotel is the brightness of the parking lot I really appreciate this being a solo female Traveler Yvonne at the front desk was also super friendly

My only complaint about these hotels is the location of the plugs for your electronics I don’t know why they put them underneath the side table

Mary Williamson

Very clean Front desk staff was nice Breakfast lady was super nice

give her a raise! She’s a worker!! When something was out, we didn’t have to wait, she had another ready to go, no matter what it wasWhy is there no coffee at night? Other Hampton Inns have hot decaffeinated coffee in the lobbyAnd our bed mattress needed to be updated Sleeping on it, you can tell they just rotated the mattress It’s time for some memory foam mattresses

Kristen Lozen

The hardest, cheap bed, with pillows that go flat I instantly had pain flare ups I am writing this review at 2am, because I just can’t sleep in this bed

Checking out after 1 night and going somewhere elseFront desk said they thought the beds were super comfy Must be a different bed from the one we got!Room was clean at least

Flight got cancelled so I needed something close to the airport It is only a couple minutes away Grabbed a sandwich and beer at the bar

The waiter seemed to disappear right when I wanted to finish up and get to bed (early flight the next day) I had to ask the bartender to get me my check and the waiter reappeared The room did not have AC on when I arrived It took hours to cool off But nice room otherwise The front desk staff was very busy, but accommodating

My wife and I checked into DoubleTree by Hilton at 5264 International Blvd, North Charleston SC on Saturday, July 23 for a six-night stay On Monday, July 25, a burglar(s) entered our room, went through our luggage, bags, and drawers, and stole 15 clothes/skin care products and some cash We reported the burglary incident to the hotel and hotel staff said there were 3 burglary incidents already reported in the last couple of days

Hotel management and hotel insurance company have been rude, doubt the truthfulness of our report, and refuse to take any responsibility, even after hotel managers found out that the room autolock door could not lock when the door was fully closed Hilton Executive Office refuses to “intervene” So far Hilton has not responded to our question on whether all other burglary incidents have been properly documented and handled Based on our own experience, Hilton’s “strict corporate guidelines” for guest safety and security = hotel management refuses to take any responsibility, instead uses the tactic to attack and blame guests for the frequent burglary incidents in the hotel We have been traveling all over the world and never lost a thing during any previous hotel stays We are upset at this burglary incident, but even more disappointed in how Hilton handles this situation We will never stay in Hilton again

Jennifer doscher

This is great hotel! It is clean and employees are very nice and helpful We started at a different doubletree for 1 night then checking in here the next night We were having issues at the other hotel so we called, and Nathan helped us out and just stay here instead of changing hotels

Since checking in everyone has been so nice and great service

Great place to stay In the cut and out the way yet within walking distance of places to eat and grab snacks and needed items if you have no car We stayed here for a week waiting for my vehicle to arrive at the VPC and I really enjoyed our stay

The place was clean The hotel staff spoke to you when you entered and even sometimes when you left Love the environment, wasnt noisy The breakfast was decent and they even offered us some fresh baked cookies one day They have a microwave which I love, they have a mini fridge as well It was really small We did have an ant problem after 2 days of having left snacks out, which I never experienced in a hotel but that was about it On our last day we did have somebody knock on our door, asking about housekeeping but we had our no housekeeping thing up so not sure why they knocked early in the morning like that But overall good stay, would recommend and stay again

We had excellent service from check-in to check-out Clean, comfortable suites that were as pictured and described online We stayed in the King Studio Suite the first night and the 2 Queen Beds One Bedroom Suite the second night

We only switched to have a little more space to spread out, and for the separate rooms setup The front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating of our request Both suites were very comfortable and covered all of the bases that we needed We will definitely be returning in the future

Mr CEO

Homewood Suites Hilton Garden is a very nice place and new property It is super quiet and plenty of parking in the front and back The pool is a knock out as it’s gorgeous

I was able to pick my floor and was satisfied The people there are extraordinary and helpful The property is Covid 19 friendly There is fresh breakfast and happy hour in the afternoon

Eliza Reptilekeeper

Family and pet friendly hotel, friendly receptionists, actually everybody is very friendly and helpful The rooms are clean ( upon arrival I did wipe down everything with disinfecting wipes and sprayed some Lysol on the pillows and sheets, just in case), the refrigerator and freezer are clean, as is the rest of the kitchen The bathroom is very pretty, it has a big shower with a glass door, the bathroom vanity and the rest of the furniture, such as bed, night stands, desk area and foldout sofa are modern and will find approval of many guests

And the mattress, OMG, it’s so comfortable! There is a breakfast room, (not just a buffet style table in a corner of the lobby,) with a good continental breakfast The bar is inviting to relax with a cold drink after a busy day, or one can cool off in the outside pool or work out in the gym There is also a BBQ area with several grills and comfy chairs close to the poolI would stay in this hotel again

I stayed 3 nights with a wedding party The hotel grounds and rooms are very clean Nice modern decor & TV

Comfortable bed, I was lucky and had a microwave in my room A few wedding guests didn’t have microwaves, but there is one accessible 24 hours in the lobby My one suggestion would be to ensure microwaves are in every room, especially with the bar not open until 5 pm Staff is friendly Hotel is close to stores/restaurants, I would absolutely stay here again

JD Brown

Great hotel Nice to have a restaurant/bar so you don’t have to leave for dinner Rooms were nice and very clean

The only issue that I had was with breakfast I was not told when I checked in that you have to order breakfast the night before and was a little upset walking down for breakfast only to find out I was not able to get breakfast

bigtata84

Excellent experience overall Special mention to Heather at the front desk as she was very friendly and accommodating along with having an excellent attitude and brilliant smile The room was very welcoming and clean

The bathroom had an interesting perk as the mirror had a Bluetooth speaker built in it! The layout of the room is very functional and a good value for the stay Definitely recommend for business trips

They also had a back up plan in case he couldn’t fix it Breakfast is pretty good and complimentary, as is laundry facilities 4 ft heated indoor pool, grills and seating area, business facilities and fitness room complete the package

I’m not one to stay in hotels, but this one was very nice! The room was very clean and ready when we arrived The breakfast was actually pretty decent! The fruit was fresh and delicious The sausages were not those gross squishy ones you usually get at a hotel continental breakfast

The coffee was really good as well The pool was okay Nothing to write home about Definitely clean and welcoming The gym had a very nice treadmill, some weights, an elliptical and also a laundry room The ladies at the front desk were so kind and friendly! The cleaning staff also smiled and said hello anytime I passed them in the halls

Maija Burbank Patterson

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Everything was homey and when you come in the desk people even say “Welcome home!” Was a great feeling coming back to the room with it being cleaned spotless! Bed was very comfortable and we even were giving 2 little bottles of wine for our anniversary We’ve loved our stay and will recommend it to everyone!

This is the best Courtyard experience I’ve ever had The front desk staff at check in and check out were friendly and professional The rooms were CLEAN

even in places like behind the toilet and there were no hairs or shampoo goop left behind on the shower curtain or on the shower walls! There was a pool The lobby was fun and inviting The bed was comfy I wish they were all like this!

Stefan Rademacher

I stayed for 10 days and requested only two times to clean my room I’m fine with that if they actually would have done itThe first time I asked specifically twice to also change the bed linen

But they did not do itSo I went down to the reception and requested bed linen and ended up changing the bed myselfThe second time again I requested cleaning and again requested specifically they change the linen Again it did not happenThey only replaced the towels and removed the trash They didn’t even vacuum the roomRealizing that they don’t change bed linen makes me very unsure if I had clean sheets the first night as the bed already looked like someone was sleeping in there for some timeThe air condition is very loud and kept me awake all night And you can’t really shut it off either Overall not a pleasant stay

Leah Ponds

Great place to stay Convenient 30 minutes to Isle of Palms, 15 minutes to downtown Charleston

Nice staff, amazing gym, spacious, clean rooms! I really enjoyed it there Our only negative was that there was not a microwave in our roomUPDATE: I’m deleting a star (From 4 to 3), because NO ONE informed us that we could request a microwave, and this message was posted NO WHERE in the room My party specifically wanted a microwave during our four night stay I want to point this out so that future guests will be informed Thank you for the response!

I called multiple times to request pricing and availability for my wedding Long story short, the older gentleman said he did not know when and how much pricing for weddings would be and to call back later next month (our conversation was on 7/25)I asked him if he would take my contact information and he said that he “had enough responsibilities already”

Extremely rude and unprofessional

Davis D. Janowski

We stayed here over the Christmas Holidays in 2006 Very much enjoyed our stay I know our neighbors did not as we had our toddler daughter and dog with us

The staff were very accommodating however, and served us all our meals in our room We were there to see the sites down in Charleston so we were generally only there in the mornings and evening Beautiful place

Sarah Mckee

My heart was dead set on this place for my wedding venue before even seeing it in person I called 6+ times and made myself patient enough to wait for the event coordinator to speak to me on multiple occasionsNever got her

Only got an older gentlemen who just 5mins a go hung up on me because I asked to come one hour earlier to see the venue Because they only show at 12 Which i live an hour away and an hour earlier would’ve still cut into half of my work dayThis man was rude, not interested, stressed out, and would not work with me or pay me any mind From then on I decided this wasn’t the place for meIf you can’t even set up a time after six phone calls, why would you work with these people for your wedding? It really saddens me because this place would’ve meant the world to me on my special day Yet he wanted to hang up on me and act like I was an inconvenienceAppreciate it

Hotel is very dated and In need of major renovations Don’t be fooled by the name brand or the lobby appearance Lobby is nice

Room… different story Listen to the reviews cause I sure wish I did Also the room you book is hardly ever the room you actually get You may book a king room and end up in A handicapped accessible room because that’s all they had left Let’s not get into the plastic block they have at the head of the bed Oh and no breakfast Only breakfast that’s available is for pay at A Starbucks cafe Dump… HARD PASS… hey Marriott ITS TIME TO RENOVATE AND STOP CHARGING $200 AND UP PER NIGHT FOR BASICALLY A MOTEL…

Jennifer Cate

Only a minute from I-26 but doesn’t feel like you’re so close to an interstate Within walking distance to a newer, very nice shopping center/courtyard with coffee shop, restaurants, some shopping and much more Hotel and room were clean and comfortable

Has a Starbucks bistro bar for morning and a quaint bar at night Has several outdoor areas, gym was clean and staff were nice I will definitely stay here again

Kavin Davis

Horrible staff, not friendly at all Will say anything to get you out of their face and Eric I think who is the District Manager or whatever is his title was no help at all The cleaning staff needs to be trained or at least monitor

Many times they would make my bed and use the same dirty sheets that I laid in prior to that I have stayed with this brand for now in this area for more than a month I will not be using this brand again Also the showers in the place is crazy So it’s an opening with no shower curtain Not sure why they went this way on the rooms, if it was saving money on shower curtains or what but it will be a cold shower every time you step in with no curtain Bad idea and bad concept for the customer that like warm showers

Easy check in, everything was clean, love the concept of very minimal and basic but has what you need Beds were incredibly comfortable I bring a small fan to sleep with to block out noise, so it was quiet for me

When we first got there the cleaning chemicals were a little strong but when we got back after dinner the smell had gone away We definitely will be coming back!

I stay once a month here and I just love the concept of this chain No carpet on the floor, fresh modern look to the rooms, great breakfast and fantastic service from everyone I’ve encountered They were amazing when I dropped my earring down the sink and the next day it was found in the drain trap! Talk about service and going the extra mile! Love them!

Tara Gray-Coley

Horrible hotel, I stayed there for over 4 weeks and had nothing but trouble How about I told there staff several times about the back door not working and as a paying customer I couldn’t come through the back door to my room which was close to that door almost for a week I was told someone would fix it and they never did

Probably still messed up to this day Then there cleaning service is a joke They made my bed with the sheets that I already slept on I mean when I asked for my room to get clean I am looking for clean sheet My whole stay no one never changed out the moldy shower curtain, I guess as a guess I am not entitled to a new curtain for sanitation reason The only friendly staff they had there was the kitchen staff They made great meals and were well liked because they went out there way to have a conversation It seems like everyone at the front desk was just to good for the customers to even talk

I received an email today stating that The Residence Inn was unable to accommodate my 2 Queen bed stay but had instead moved my family of 4 to another hotel at a cheaper rate Come to find out that the room they were able to secure us was a King bed instead of the 2 Queen beds that I needed to accommodate 4 people Posting simply to say – beware of any upcoming stays at The Residence Inn Summerville as they may get “cancelled” due to “maintenance issues” and you’ll be left to find another hotel on your own as they will absolutely not take accountability for the “maintenance issues” and comp any sort of discounted rates

I would beware especially if you booked as part of any upcoming convention rates as it seems those rooms were the first to be moved due to the “maintenance issue” according to their front desk staff I was able to secure a much nicer hotel at a cheaper rate in the same area

This place isn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but it’s pretty closePros: Comfortable, Clean (at least appearing) beds Apples and bananas available in the morning

Cons: Faulty/exposed electrical, musty smell, multiple leaks in ceiling of gym , ice machines on floors 2-4 broken Hot breakfast items are slimy and inedible No potable water Pool about 8 feet long and 4 feet wide

Booked my room almost 2 weeks in advance Got here to check in and they told me my room was canceled I asked who canceled my room

The lady said the hotel did Poor customer service I traveled a good bit of ways to get here to be turned around after booking in advance and then canceled without notification Very poor customer service I will never stay at another Marriott due to this 1 incident

Overall it’s a nice property and rooms are nice The front desk staff were very friendly Beds were the most comfortable we have had in our last 4 hotel stay, which was a huge plus for us

However, we did have some issues The first room we were put in had blood stain on the comforter Called front desk and she moved us very quickly We were so tired as we had been driving and checked in after midnight due to delays So we packed up and moved Next morning we take showers and the shower water was lukewarm Well, we showered and had to go to our function We come in and the shower wasn’t warm at all, so we decided to wait til morning Well this morning the lukewarm water was quite cold Called front desk and they asked if we wanted to move rooms AGAIN My husband declined as we were leaving today He was told that someone would be up to check our shower as I completed my cold shower My husband refused to shower in cold water and no one came and we waited 45 minutes The front desk apologized when I checked out Thank God we have friends that he was able to go get o their home and shower, so we could travel home The breakfast was frozen sandwiches, green bananas, green apples, cereal, and yogurt It shows that their hot breakfast bar is back, but it isn’t The only option for me as a pescatarian was yogurt Thank God I like Greek yogurt Lol I’m disappointed in the water situation, breakfast, and the blood given the price we paid Overall it is a nice hotel

We decided to use The Inn at Middleton Place for our wedding party hotel block We were blown away with how wonderful and accommodating the service was here Everyone was so friendly and helpful

Gabriel and her team took excellent care of us as our event coordinator She went above and beyond to make our stay special We loved hanging out in the lodge during happy hour and having the grounds to walk as something to do in our downtime was great too The whole place is so beautiful I’m looking forward to returning in the future for a relaxing, quiet vacation

Simply WOW This place is amazing a true gem If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay in the Charleston area look no further

The setting of Middleton Place literally does not get any better The plantation and gardens are spectacularly beautiful The Inn itself is an architectural master piece The staff are exceptional Love the happy hour with charcuterie offering, the free night cap with macaroons and complementary breakfast served in the Lake House Once you check in you won’t need or want to leave The pool next to the Ashley River is amazing As is the game room with chess, puzzles, board games and live music They also offer outdoor games not to mention you get free entry to the Middleton plantation and gardens They have an attached equestrian center as well I could write a book on this place but will leave it at this- this is an absolute must You deserve it

We rented two rooms for a weekend stay, and I can honestly say I will never go back The people were friendly, but the rooms were extraordinarily over-priced for the age of the property We were shocked when we entered our rooms

The pictures online look nothing like what we stayed in; maybe they were taken years ago While the rooms do have working fireplaces, the smokey smell from the room above us made our room nearly unbearable I literally slept in my KN95 COVID mask to prevent a terrible sinus headache overnight The breakfast was the only positive attribute for our stay Grossly over-priced for our weekend rate during high peek weekend Needless to say, we won’t be back

First let me say that my husband and I stay almost exclusively with this chain of hotels and find that quality is mostly very good, some being better than others That said, I would like to thank personally the excellent customer service and assistance from Christina Rava, front desk manager She assisted us greatly in navigating the local community, general knowledge of areas we needed to be, and making reservations for all the rest of our journey for us when i met with a computer snafu

On top of that, I accidentally picked up the case containing the room iron, thinking it was my husbands shaving kit, and taking it with us She was very understanding of the accidental theft and patient with us while we completed our journey so I could mail it back to her when possible I have another trip there in the works to care for a sick family member and I know I have a beautiful, comfortable, well located room to retreat to at the end of each day Many thanks Christina

Exceptionally clean and friendly hotel The whole place glistens and smells clean; coffee in the lobby is fresh even at 5am There is an indoor pool and while the breakfasts are typical hotel fare (scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, cereals, yogurt) they are decent quality and tasty

There is a small bar off the lobby here, too Open til midnight on Fri-Sat We really enjoyed our stay and recommend to others

Friendly service Big clean rooms Great location

Only negative is that it is VERY loud during cleanings and if kids are playing above your room Wasn’t horrible but the loudest I have observed in hotelsAbsolutely will stay here again

Had a very bad experience I booked a two queen bedroomCalled two days before the reservation start to inform that we were bringing a pet

They indicated that only option available was a corner room in the first floor ( did not mention anything about the number of beds) We ended up in a very congested king bedroomAs we had pet, they did not give us double queen bed roomthat we reserved in any other floors ( if the rooms are limited in a pet friendly hotel, head count request during the reservation should include pet as well ) We had to sleep on pull out sofa bed which was very uncomfortable
