Wonderful Bed and Breakfast! There are forests and meadows right outside, within a short walk In the yard, there are flowers blooming everywhere and birds flitting and chirping And it’s a fascinating large old house with lots of historical details

The owners clearly love what they are doing and they are very good at making sure their guests are content Also, the firm bed was wonderful

My husband and I stayed at the Centennial House Bed and Breakfast the night of our wedding and it was a wonderful experience! Joan was incredibly accommodating and pleasant throughout the entire booking process and welcomed us so warmly when we arrived! She even made sure to turn the AC on for us so that our room had cooled down by the time we returned on a hot summer night! The grounds were beautiful with gardens of peonies and the house was incredibly inviting Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable Breakfast in the morning was delicious! Joan was careful and thoughtful with our dietary restrictions and made sure to have offerings that would accommodate them

We would highly recommend staying here for any special occasion – you will be so glad you did!

We had such a lovely time at Centennial House We had stayed here before a few years ago and our family had had a wonderful stay After a year at home we were really ready for a weekend away and were impressed with the safety protocols that were in place which gave us plenty of piece of mind

There’s so much attention to detail to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable – charming, beautiful rooms (we stayed in Deerfield) and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of French toast stuffed with strawberries Joan and Steve are such thoughtful hosts and welcome each guest like family If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway replete with world class service, comfortable beds, and scrumptious food Centennial House is the place for you! Highly recommend!

We stayed for three nights this past weekend and had a great time The owner was very attentive, full of helpful information and really friendly (thank you, Cliff!) The property is quiet, even though it’s right next to the highway

you would never know it! The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable We had a large picture window looking out at the trees The grounds are beautifully kept You can tell that this place is very well cared for

We just spent the night and loved it! Manager/owner was very friendly and available and helpful, the whole place was spotless and well cared for, the beds were very comfortable and the towels and linens were nice It was quiet and had a real window that opened! Breakfast was good There are plenty of places to hang out outside when the weather is nicer, the grounds are lovingly cared for and the room was equipped with everything you could need

I highly recommend this Inn

The hotel is in a very convenient location and is very quiet We liked the setup and outdoor decor The room was nice but we found a hair in the bed, shower and on the toilet

There was also a spider in the bed our first night there When I called the front desk they sent someone up immediately to clean but unfortunately even after the room was cleaned again the hair was still in the shower We found numerous ants on the bathroom sink and the walls by the bed If we didn’t encounter the bug issue we would have definitely recommended and stayed here again In response to your comment below we arrived at 9pm the first night and I called you first thing the next morning since you told me when we checked in you were closing up for the night and when the housekeeper came to the room after I called you I told her we had a major ant issue, so I did notify as soon as she got there But since the hair issue wasn’t resolved after she came, there were actually more after she came to rectify the issue I held little hopeof the bug issue being corrected I left out of my review the spiders in the bed because I understand things happen but that many ants and hairs are indicative of a cleaning issue I wrote the review so others are not mislead as I was by the glowing reviews of cleanliness And when I brought it to your attention again this morning you laughed and made a joke about it

I am happy that I finally went here The interior is amazing with the great chairs and large tables The food was delicious

I went on a Friday near noon and they only had 1 waitress but she was amazing dealing with all the patrons at that time Parking is perfectly acceptable and you can get a quick look at the French king bridge The only issue I had there was prior to arriving a large party came in immediately before so the food didn’t come out as fast I am looking forward to going back soon

It’s been years since I visited this restaurant & motel, but I have no complaints! Restaurant was lovely, great service & excellent food Frank (owner back in the early 2000’s) was a comical, friendly guy Cozy atmosphere

Motel was well maintained & comfortable Didn’t get to try the pool, because it was Fall when we visited Plenty of parking Easy to locate, near the scenic French King bridge

Karri lynn Bailey

The owner wasn’t very friendly Both times I’ve rented rooms he rudely asks why and tells me they don’t allow partying or smoking

even after I said I wasn’t partying n knew what the smoking rules were he felt a need to repeat it He def made me feel unwelcomed It took him about 15 minutes to find the key for the correct room after trying the first room and not knowing where that key was

Shelburne Falls is like stepping back in time and the Dancing Bear blends modern conveniences with 19th century charm Then there’s Philip Philip is a most accommodating host

You ask and Philip will make it happen Philip really makes breakfast happen As a repeat visitor, I knew to expect a great breakfast but the Ukrainian Pancakes, one savoy and one sweet were over the top We enjoyed Shelburne Falls and especially the Dance Bear You should go!

Keri

My husband and I decided to take a little get away to the western part of the state and didn’t really have plans for accommodations, we were gonna wing it! Well, I’m so glad I stumbled upon The Dancing Bear Guest House and they were able to accommodate us I was a little skeptical at first, because we had never stayed at a B&B, but I was very happy we went after arriving The family was very welcoming

They had a ton of cool things in the home with stories attached to every piece The breakfast was delicious The house, room, and bath were clean, comfortable, and also filled with interesting furniture Coffee early in the morning is always a plus for me! And Phil was great and a very interesting and knowledgeable guyI love the village of Shelburne Falls, it is so quaint, beautiful, and for some reason makes me feel good just being thereI hope to come back and stay at the Dancing Bear soon!!

Deborah Fournier

We like to do do mini vacations Check some out-of-the-way spot that isn’t necessarily swamped with tourists I was looking for “flowers” and the Trolley Flower Bridge in Shelburne, Mass came up

Next step was accommodations The Dancing Bear has an opening and we had our vacation set Great place to stay and Philip was a wonderful host who makes a wonderful breakfast! Walking distance to downtown and even though the bridge isn’t in full bloom, it was still lovely to walk across and see the daffodils, pansies and crocuses Quaint, but busy little town in the mountain area of western Mass worth the drive!

We went to Turners Falls for a concert, and since there were no hotels there, we booked this We’ve had excellent experiences at Hampton Inns for years, so we expected the sameThe plus side: Comfortable bed, clean sheets, good cover, heat and AC worked

The down side: Where do I begin? The floor had bits of wrappers on it, looked like shreds from candy bars The vertical grab bar for the tub was coming out of the wall, quite dangerous if you’d needed it to help you with balance, or getting in and out The tub drained so slowly that within 3 minutes of starting a shower I was calf-deep in soapy water The sink didn’t drain The toilet flushed itselfBut worst of all, the AC/heat had a slightly musty smell, so we pulled off the cover thinking to at least remove the filter if it wasn’t fresh That would have been fine, but this air filter – and the inside of the machine – had never been cleaned or changed A cursory run with a vacuum hose would have made all the difference in the worldLet me go on to breakfast I went to the front desk at 730 and said “You need to write up a trouble report for room X” The man there said hm, he’d never written one before, couldn’t find any report forms, but began to jot it down on a piece of paper He didn’t quite believe me when I told him about the grab bar By the time I got to the disgustingly filthy filter and surrounds, he’d lost interestBreakfast was awful Tragic The “Applewood Smoked Bacon” was your basic microwave bacon, supermarket generic brand The potatoes, such as they were, cold I asked the woman working the breakfast if there was any ice and she said “You got a glass?” No, I said, but I’ll get one I walked out of the breakfast area to the coffee bar and returned with two cups, at which point I got my iceWe were all Hilton gold or platinum Everyone complained about their rooms – the dirty carpets for starts No apologies, no offer of points, nothingDo not stay here

I have used this hotel on previous times and it was good This time I received a room ,then waited an hour for a call back they fixed itI get there with my handicap wife to the room ,only to have to move a desk and chair for her to get into our room

The house keeping had signs for room cleaning do to holiday but I hap urine stains on toilet at base Fecal ring around toilet from limited cleaning I checked out and two hours later I am charged 25000 for smoking but no pictures emailed or even a callthis is ridiculous and I feel like I was taking advantage of by this establishment and the relaxed style of housekeeping

Nikki [Rhombus0fterror]

This is the second time my husband and I have booked a few nights here We love the king suite with whirlpool tub in room Highly recommend it for couples! The tub works great, lots of hot water and the room is spacious and clean

Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty left even right before it closed up for the morning Pool is closed which was a slight downside Also we asked for our sheets to be changing and they never were We ended up having to do it ourselves But all around great stay and may be back in the years to come Get the whirlpool room!

I had dinner with a group today The service was excellent The food was very well prepared

Deserves the 5 stars Some notes: the portions are very big Not a problem, it was delicious and I ended up eating everything just a comment If there is something I would say could be a bit more creative is the cocktail/beer list I will return, for sure

My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at The Arlington Inn The inn was transformed into a charming and beautiful reception space The space itself has a lot of history and provides it’s own charm

Jordan and her team of caterers and bartenders were excellent Ourselves and the wedding party slept in the rooms above the tavern following the reception The rooms were clean, beautiful and cozy I highly recommend this space to anyone looking to host a small, charming and gorgeous wedding reception Jordan is a sweet and generous host who is easy to work with

A ton of love and hard work has gone into bringing the Arlington Inn & Tavern to life From exterior to interior the building and property are beautiful with great attention to detailThe downstairs where the tavern is located has a slight modern touch to it, but the overall feel is a homey rustic, providing a comfortable and classic New England feel

The rooms upstairs are spacious and comfortable continuing to the the homey rustic feel all while providing modern amenitiesThe food prepared for my Mother’s birthday party was excellent, as were the portion sizes! Looking at what other people who were in the tavern at the time had for their dinner choices, their food looked just as good with just as great portion sizesThe bed in the Jane room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked amazingly well which was awesome as the heat and humidity was super high last weekendThe staff was all super friendly and attentive to all of our needs!I’ll definitely be going back!
