I travel for work

a LOT and this has to be one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had I had my small dog with me and needed to work until 5pm after my checkout My dog and I were both able to comfortably hang out and I got work done for a few hours in their expansive lobby Not only was it extremely comfortable, but the staff was so sweet checking in on me throughout the day asking if I needed anything All around an absolute 5-star stay!

Ebony Charlton

What a wonderful location I traveled to Greenville for the first time this weekend and had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Greenville The front desk staff was wonderful and friendly

The hotel was spotless and the housekeeping staff I did encounter were friendly and eager to help The location was perfect centrally located and one block away from a beautiful Riverwalk and waterfall They were also near some excellent restaurants and only a mile from the zoo The offer several parking options and are pet friendly We definitely will be back

Susan Campbell

The hotel is attractive and well-located, an easy walk to the many good downtown restaurants and shops My room was clean and comfortable and outfitted with a smart TV and a large bathroom with walk-in shower They were short-staffed, but the staff there were friendly and attentive

I think it’s a perfectly good place for people traveling for leisure, and with othersThe downsides: the wifi is unsecured and super slow The bolt lock on my door didn’t fit/work when the door was shut, and I didn’t have bath towels (I didn’t notice until I needed them) There is no business center, but there’s one Mac and a PC that share a B/W printer in the lobby The printer was out of paper so the one person working registration and bar also had to help with that If you have work to do while traveling, it is not ideal

Our stay was amazing from start to finish!I called the receptionist before check in to let her (Sharon) know that we will be late checking in She said no problem maam, I will be here when you and your husband arrivesLove-loved her and she was amazing when I got there too

I had a mask on and she could see that I was a little uncomfortable She told me what, when and how things work at that hotel and she was professional the entire timeThis hotel and the room was, clean My husband and I normally stay at the high end hotels down town… Let me stop you now and say this You save money by staying here and you will receive the best service here too! I can go on and on but I will just saySharon was the best of the best and we would stay again at this modern, well design and clean hotelThank you

Cambria’s Accommodations are so wonderful and comfortable Great place to stay Teresa and Bruce “the dynamic duo” took great care of me

I needed a shuttle back to hotel, and they were extremely busy They both kept me updated on when I could expect to be picked up multiple times You don’t get that at most hotels I have had plenty tell me they can’t tell me where the shuttle driver is or when I could be helped Beautiful and sincere Customer Service!

Riss B.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, the rooms are so clean and spacious and modern Love the bluetooth mirror and really appreciate all the USB ports around the room Customer service at the front desk was so fantastic

I had to extend my stay unexpectedly and Sharon went out of her way to help me and to make sure she put me in a room with everything I’d need for the longer stay I would more than happily stay here again

Suites are very spacious and nice Allowed for me (an early riser) to get up and have coffee, check email, watch TV, etc without disturbing partner sleeping in the other room

Hotel was nice and in a good location Check in and Check out procedures were efficient and easy The two big screen TVs were nice Good value for the money Reasons I rated it lower: Bathroom needs updating For example the toilets are so low I felt like I was back in elementary school Water pressure in shower was too low Living area: Sofa needs cleaning All sorts of mysterious stains on sofa Overall, a good experience I would stay here again

Dan Kochenderfer

I’ll start with the negatives

The shower water pressure wasn’t great, but I believe it would be as simple as a different shower head, one that allows you adjust the stream Other then that, let’s move onto the positivesGreat location on the river, we had a room on the 7th floor with a city/river view The room was spacious for the 5 of us, and clean I liked that you needed a hotel key card to access your floor The staff was super friendly and professional The breakfast buffet was one of the better we’ve had compared to some other Hilton’s And the breakfast room has fantastic views We would definitely stay here again

We were exploring Traveler’s Rest and made our way to Greenville, SC for the night Clemson was having their graduation so the city hotels were pretty much booked up Hampton inn recommended their sister hotel Embassy suites so we popped up in the evening and booked it on the spot

It was very easy & we were pleased with Shanita, she took good careWe were also delighted with the spacious suite and the beds are very comfortable It felt good after a very long day on the road in trafficThe only complaint I have is the flat roof nearby had some kind of fan on it or maybe I was near the air conditioning unit but there was a rather loud humming sound all night long So I couldn’t really sleep In the morning when we came down for breakfast I stopped by the front desk to mention the noise but honestly the young man didn’t seem too concerned I did ask him to write the room number down and ask maintenance to check it outI also called Hilton Honors to share this feedbackMy husband says he also suggests breakfast last until at least 10 amHe enjoyed the unique omelet that was prepared for himOverall, a nice hotel that is perched over looking the Reedy River FallsIncredible location!Make sure you go up to Up on the Roof bar The view is spectacular!

Tasha Brown

We just experienced a wonderful stay here No complaints everything was great! The check in was not only super simple but the front desk people were extremely nice and explained everything to us The evening reception almost had me drunk off the complimentary drinks 😉 we booked a king suite which was very roomy, could maybe use a little updating but everything was clean and comfortable

Breakfast did not disappoint and the omelet stand was everything! We will definitely be back!

Miya Caughman

My wife and I are here for Valentine’s Weekend and we had an amazing time!! The Resort is so nice we spent most of our time at the room! We were welcome with chocolates at the door Text messages throughout our entire stay ensuring we had an wonderful experience Fire place outside with the moon light

Nice pool area Hot breakfast every morning with unlimited omelets!!! The rooms were very clean beds are super comfortable the shower jets were relaxing Great staff that told us the nicest restaurants in Greenville We’re having an amazing time The wife is happy and so am I You know the saying HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE!!! It’s safe to say we’ll be staying at the Hilton for the rest of our life! So long Mariot

Talesha Whitmire

Well, I hate to complain, but the last Hilton hotel I stayed in was in Duluth, so that is why I decided to stay here I came to this area to take a nursing test at a nearby testing center I have always stayed at Hilton hotels, but had no idea my expectations would so disappointed after staying at a beautiful, clean, Hilton hotel like the one in Duluth

To start, I think they upgraded, but was not sure, because I reserved a king bed, and I ended up getting two doubles in my room which wasn’t really a big deal, however when I walked in, I felt like I was in a bad episode of the Brady Bunch and couldn’t escape The decor definitely was not up to par, very outdated I walked into my room and it was so hot that I had to call the front desk They did send maintenance quickly, but the stench of the old hotel plus the room being so hot almost made me retch So, I ended up with a box fan The air conditioner never really worked properly, so I was thankful for the fan, but I would have been ashamed to charge for a room And, the sink beside the coffee pot had coffee on the wall Did not make me feel as though the room was deep cleaned The food from the cafe was minimal, and I was charged twice I called to accounting department and they were too rude to call back Never could get a live person Still checking my credit card to see if it was fixed I don’t mind paying for good food But to have minimal food and be charged twice!!! And then, not receive a phone call back? I called twice Also, the breakfast bar I wanted eggs and bacon, and the eggs were obviously powder eggs and the bacon was cold Just not a good stay and I felt the hotel was old and dirty NO ROOM SERVICE I will say the positives: The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and there was plenty of parking, and the bathroom did smell of clorox, so I am assuming the cleaning in the bathroom was complete I will not be staying here again I was so disappointed after staying at the Hilton in Duluth No comparison at all Needs updating and some new carpet

We loved the feeling of a little slice of Europe in Greenville, SC The design and ambience were wonderful and to our taste The staff were friendly and helpful

The location was excellent We had valet parking for our car and didn’t use it until we left We walked to the Reedy River falls and park and to our delicious dinner at Soby’s Had we been attending The Peace Center, we’d have only needed to cross the street The breakfast croissants, authentic and delicious, were from France

Sonji Johnson

First, let me state what I liked about the hotel: location, rooftop restaurant, front lobby decor/vibe, and customer service @ the front deskWhat I didn’t like about the hotel was the HVAC in our guest room My husband and I traveled to SC at the beginning of the summer so no problem

However, this is my third experience with a Marriott property where trying to get the room temperature at a comfortable setting is impossible It’s either too cold or the direct opposite too hotObtaining a comfortable room temperature was never an issue in the past and I’ve been a long time Marriott member so Marriott need to get it together This was my only major complaint with this property Everything else was pretty good I would stay here again because I really like the area

Dan Mason

We spent two nights at this brand new hotel The staff were wonderful and it was impeccably clean The only negatives were: the euro style toilet did not flush well, the shower operation was shockingly difficult to figure out, and there was only a side table on one side of the bed

Even with those negatives, we would happily stay there again

I would like to give special mention to the staff of this hotel, as they were very welcoming and accommodating The breakfast team did a great job of keeping everything stocked and clean Essence I believe (front desk, night shift) was friendly and a pleasure to chat with! She and the young man did a great job making guests feel welcome as they entered and exited, regardless of the time of night

And Caroline (front desk, morning shift) did a great job in accommodating our requests for the day Cleaning staff worked hard, though I’m sure it’s not easy Thank y’all for contributing to the appeal of the city of Greenville!

Michelle Jackson

Home2 Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown was great! I could not have asked for more in a hotel room King suite is the way to go! Lots a good lighting, desk area, couch, mini kitchen, microwave, dishes, fridge and more Loved loved loved the shampoo and shower gel dispenser in the shower

Oh oh ohthe bathroom has a nightlight which I also loved Staff was excellent Reminder – due to the limited parking in Downtown Greenville – the hotel only provides Valet parking $15 per day Good service – but with any valet remember to inspect your car before leaving

arysrus mjoski

The entire staff at this hotel were very welcoming and friendly We showed us at breakfast 10 minutes late and the 2 people working went ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate us by offering us a selection of breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, cereals, etc They turned the juice machine back on and they had to go in back to get the sandwiches they offered us

It was our mistake thinking the breakfast ended at 10 instead of 9, but they never made us feel bad but continually tried to help us feel comfortable and allow us to still have some items for breakfast Also, we talked to 4-5 housekeeping staff people in passing at different times and they also were very friendly and pleasant The valet gentleman were the same way I can’t remember the last time I was at a hotel where every encounter with the workers was so pleasant and enjoyable Just saying hi in passing and short conversationsUnbelievable!

Jashira Daniels

Cons: I was expecting a good experience and cleanliness I got there around 1 am It was a long trip

I booked for six people I figured the room would be adequate When I checked in, I asked if they had provided pillows for the guest sleeping on the pull-out couch, and the answer was no The lady at the front desk provided me with some We went upstairs and had to come back down to get covers and blankets for the couch as it was not made Some areas in the building looked cleaner than others; wallpaper was coming off the walls The elevators screech, the door takes a while to open, and it needs to be cleaned The breakfast was Frozen waffles, frozen French toast sticks, Boiled eggs, juice, milk, bread, bagels, sausage, packaged oatmeal, tea The bathroom door was damaged and didn’t lock, and there was hair in the shower There were used towels in the second drawer, sink area I specifically booked this place for the pool, and it was closedPros: spacious room can fit everyone comfortably, the beds are comfortable, hotel staff was friendly

This is our go to hotel when we visit Greenville Admittedly I’m a big fan of the Marriott brand and their high standardsBuilt in the late 80s, it has been well maintained and regularly updated

I love the entrance, the big lobby and the pool Rooms are quiet and comfortable with excellent bedding You’ve also got a full service restaurant, bar and fitness facilityThe staff is friendly and professional! Again, another reason to favor Marriott

Tom Volk

The room was comfortable In unit A/C Also had a sink area separate from the bathroom

The breakfast was delicious They had made to order omelets, and it’s one of the first places I have seen with craisins (cranberry raisins) to put in your oatmeal They also had 6 different fruits including pineapple and cantaloupe Good coffee, tasted like it was probably LavazzaIt was a mid level hotel type place Not too fancy but definitely not a motel The front lobby area is huge and looks impressive One could bring their laptop down and have a nice area to just sit in

Chris Sanford

Clean, tastefully furnished and decorated room The only negative was a 100% blocked sink which meant brushing teeth in the shower – not very convenient – hence just 4 stars A good breakfast was offered although I didn’t eat too much since usually I don’t eat breakfast

Hotel staff was top notch This hotel is closely affiliated with the BMW plant in nearby Spartanburg so lots of their staff and customers staying They have an impressive array of BMW vehicles for picking up/dropping off guests My favorite memory was chilling with my wife and daughter in the very comfortable and relaxing gazebo by the pool With Spring springing, the surrounding plants and shrubs blossoming/blooming, air temps in the high 60s and noone else in the area it was most relaxing and very special

Nice hotel with average cleaning going on twice a day Hallways need a good vacuum Had a male housekeeper in the hall playing his music loudly on his phone speaker

Was told by front desk staff that it’s acceptable and they can do it Kinda defeats the “do not disturb” signs Managers special is on Wednesdays only with Salad, a soup and cookies Good parking Kitchen lady is very pleasant

Thomas Baur

Don’t stay there!!! Either the staff is completely clueless or they are all crooks I have booked one night with my Hilton Honors points last Saturday After check-in I discovered a hold on my credit card of $ 153

I called the Diamond customer service of Hilton Honors and they talked to the hotel After that I was advised to talk to manager the other morning about how that can be resolved Shortly after that I discovered another hold on cc of $103 In the morning I talked to the Assistant Manager Mike and he told me that they are working on it and it will be solved soon So checked out and hoped for the best As nothing had happened till the day before yesterday I call customer service again They brought me directly in touch with a lady from the hotel, told the story one more time and she promised me to solve it asapNow 2 days later still nothing is solved Never will go back there and thinking of switching to the Marriott group

omelette du fromage

Staff was excellent, friendly greeting at check in, helpful suggestion about where to park based on where my room wasThe room itself was a great layout and size However, furniture a bit worn and stained

Housekeeping could be more thoroughLocation-close to everything on woodruff road, but also right on I385, so significant highway noiseBreakfast was promising from the smell of things but sadly a bit cold (eggs, sausage, potatoes) 4 days in a row

The hotel staff was exceptionally delightful! They got us checked in fast, recommended some great dining options and even replaced feathered pillows with synthetic as soon as we checked in and we’re very friendlyThe hotel itself… they need mold remediation and a new engineer The moment we stepped into our room the musky stale smell of mold hit us in the face

It appears that water leaked from the AC above our room into ours and it was just painted over The bathroom ceiling was also covered in water spots and mold Walking down the hall to the front desk you can see where the ceiling tiles are all splotched with water stainsOur daughter is extremely allergic to mold and within 40 minutes she was already getting a scratchy throat and coughingIf you’re sensitive to mold I recommend finding an alternate hotel

Mj

My room was clean, and the staff was very friendly I was working in the airport and used the shuttle to get to and from the airport for 3 days, and every shuttle driver was great Complimentary breakfast was good

The only downfall was that the outdoor pool was so cloudy that I couldn’t see the bottom of the 3ft deep area, and the top two steps were brown from settlement

Mary Ann Cox

We needed 6 rooms reserved for a family funeral The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and were the most friendly staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie, Rhonda and Aron were absolutely wonderful

They even brought in an extra lamp in my Uncle’s room so he could see his way to the restroom during the night Thank you staff of Fairfield Inn for being a bright light during a sad time

Loved our stay at the Westin You have the historic charm but also very well maintained and clean We met Will Cain at the front desk and he was so nice and personable

Beds were comfortable and our room had a great view overlooking main street Perfect location to walk to everything we wanted to do and see We celebrated our anniversary and they sent up a tray and had written note for the occasion Southern hospitality at it’s best

Faleesha Vinson

My husband surprised me with an overnight trip and he chose this hotel! The staff was so amazing and friendly especially the concierge lady

she even sent up chocolate covered strawberries to our room as a surprise! She was amazing the night clerk was awesome too! We tried to eat at the ale house for a late night snack on our way back from being downtown but people waited over 2 hours for their food We decided to eat at the hotel instead and it was great food! Better then some we got at higher restaurants earlier in the day! Thank you to the staff for being so great!

Bay Harbor Tire Distributors

During our stay at the Westin Poinsett, the valet team was attentive, welcoming and that’s where it ended The front desk team seemed confused (details of our reservation weren’t listed, we requested a roll away bed), they repeatedly said the hotel was completely booked giving the impression of frustration, and asked if we wanted our room cleaned daily?! The king size room needs updating (as does the hotel), was small and uncomfortable, especially the bathroom consisting of a tub shower (not walk-in), where a tub handle is located near the comically large rain show head, and a single sink After bruising elbows and hips-we had to take “sideways” showers

Location in Greenville is fantastic but cannot recommend

Clean rooms, though a bit on the smaller side Very nice bar and the restaurant had a decent breakfast buffet selection (but it was $17 a person roughly) Huge 65 inch

+ TV was a nice touch in the room My parents actually hosted their wedding reception here 2 decades ago so it was cool to have a personal connection They accommodated our Omega Psi Phi conference pretty well for the size of the group we had

We stayed here for a conference and we’re very happy with the accommodations! It appears that the hotel has been here for a while, but everything we experienced was up to date and modern The room was great, but so was the hotel restaurant and bar The conference space was also very nice

We walked everywhere we went On Friday night the city closes down the street outside the hotel for food trucks and live music, our whole 3 night experience was great!

I slept well the second night which is better than I do at most hotels The walls and doors are thin I could hear talking in the hall

The wall behind me shook when the person in the adjoining room got into bed, and i could hear the music from the atrium clearly through the window of the room The bed was nice, and everything seemed clean Service was good There were plenty of places to charge things The water wasn’t hard The temp of the shower was nice The lighting was neat It was a great location to walk to the falls Surrounded by lots of cool places In general I enjoyed my stay there The Roost was excellent The glass elevator and atrium are beautiful experiences

The rooms are so small If you are traveling as a couple, forget being in the bathroom at the same time, it’s too small and narrow Once you step up in the shower, your head is almost touching the ceiling

They made the showers so narrow that you barely have room to shave your legs and they only provided one small corner ledge for your toiletries The staff was nice which half made up for that stuff The WORST thing about this hotel is really just the location of it We thought it would be nice to be right near stores and I-385, but the spot they put this hotel is almost impossible to get to You really have to fight all the heavy traffic if you need to make a left to leave or get to the hotel and it’s right by the train tracks There is no traffic light to get out of the parking lot/shopping center

I travel constantly for work and stay at a variety of Hilton hotels This was my first time staying at this location and can confidently say this is the most accommodating and caring staff Specifically, I’d like to mention Belinda and Heather at the front desk who went above and beyond anything I’ve experienced

Thank you both for the pleasant stay Highly recommend!

When i went to check in here I was told they don’t accept cash payments(LIE) I said I can give my debit card to put on file but i prefer to pay in cash He said no, we dont accept any cash payments

After paying with my card, I went out to get my bags, the front desk guy who had just checked me in, comes out and moves his car from next to me and proceeded to hit his alarm button several times I have never felt less welcomed by any hotel To top it off, my card was charged twice for the one reservation I had to call my bank and dispute the charge It took about 5 extra days to get my money back I decided to call and speak with the manager She was nice enough, told me yes they take cash payments with a card on file for incidentals Also said she would talk to the employee and give me a call back That was almost 2 weeks ago and I’m yet to receive a call from her

We were there for a wedding and this was the hotel that was chosen for most everyone to stay We were able to get a discount because of that but even without it, it looked like their prices were very reasonable The room was clean and was beautiful inside and had a beautiful view outside

The service was great I would definitely stay here again

After reading more reviews about the thefts that happens in this hotel by their staff, I feel more confident about getting a solution to this matter My wife and I rushed out this morning and she forgot her wedding band and wedding ring in the bathroom counter We both are 100% sure we left it there

Three hours after checking out we called and they said they would send someone to check the room and would call us back Ten minutes later we called again and they said someone was in the room searching for it and would call us back Thirty minutes later I called and the manager said she personally went to the room and it wasn’t there There are plenty of other reviews reporting the same issues We are filing a police report We are filing a claim against Hilton’s insurance We will go out of our ways to sue anyone involved and will make sure this gets solvedWe are Hilton Diamond members and will never support this brand again until Corporate reports back to us with a solution

Rob McQueary

I thought long and hard about this review because I love and am usually overwhelmed by our connection to the Hilton brand of excellence This location was not in keeping with that I understand that they are in the midst of an update so I will reserve final judgment

It wasn’t any one thing… just a mountain of little things that did not add up to the usual excellence attached to the Hilton name

Nice location on the Reedy River with several dining and bar options in the immediate area Clients that were in town that we were hosting enjoyed themselves and had a nice stayNo housekeeping or acknowledgment of being a Hilton Diamond Member though

Valet attendants were the most friendly of the bunch The guy at the front desk upon check in acted like he had no clue why we were there standing in front of himWe had to prompt him to act (do his job) to get us checked in properly Poor and not a good feeling right out of the shoot

The hotel is your classic Hampton The room was setup in a bizarre manor The TV was on the side wall so if you wanted to watch it, it was literally to the left of the bed

Made it uncomfortable at best Bathroom was spacious with a great shower The surroundings made the hotel worth it with walking trail and plenty of restaurants to choose from Well worth the stay except for that room setup

Location, location, location! It tough to beat this location in Downtown Greenville We parked our car for the weekend when we arrived and never drove it again until we left Too much to do within walking distance including restaurants, coffee, ice cream, entertainment, and more

The city ran parking garage below the hotel and street parking were both full when we arrived (around 8pm) so we ended up using valet parking Valet was $20 while the garage is $7 Valet was seamless with no issues! We would stay here again if coming to Greenville Highly recommend!
