Penny Clardy-Hill

The hotel is nice and breakfast is amazing but the first night we had a roach in the room, next morning the water was cold and get hot until later Oh did I mention there is a 100 hold put on your card that you don’t know about until you check in The staff has some good ones and others are nasty

You pay almost a 100 a night for these rooms Just to get ok service This hotel got three because of breakfast and the looks of the room If you stay here make sure you read the fine print and know what to expect up front

Joel Gormon

Staff are very courteous, customer care was good, rooms in very good condition and well maintained, comfortable and accommodating Opted for the executive suite which was roomy with a king bed and pull out sofa with all required bedding on hand multiple TV’s WiFi and Ethernet for extra band width etc Indoor pool well maintained and a good asset for the hot GA summer seasons

This place is a restraunt/bed and breakfast that is locally owned be a retired navy Vietnam veteran It has a very warm decor, very clean and orderly Big and small tables for any size party

They also have an outdoor gazebo and patio area that can be reserved for weddings, family renuins, etc You can also rent the entire dining area as we for any important event you want They can handle events from 12 to 200 people The staff is extremely friendly and niceTheir menu has a good selection of options for anyone of any dietary menu need The food is absolutely delicious for sure and it comes put In a timely manner The proportions versus price is an amazing deal You are most definitely getting your money’s worth here with tasty food No sacrifice made here in quality to price to quantity ratio The owners are very nice and welcoming and will come chat with you when you arrive The also have a bar with wine and beer if you want a nice drink with your mealThis establishment is setup in an old historic manner house so it doesn’t look like your typical restruant so keep an eye out or you might miss it when you drive by But it’s absolutely well worth the side trip to visit this establishment If your local to the area or just passing through this area of Georgia this place is a must stop for your to experience Also with it being a bed and breakfast you can rent a room and stay for the night of your making a road trip

The location was awesome This spot is central to/for everything Augusta My only disappointment, no breakfast

Otherwise no complaints The staff is courteous and eager to help Make sure you give permission to clean your room (covid protocol) My stay was nice, just hanging out As I stated this hotel is a stone’s throw from restaurants, bars, and just about everything else If you are visiting depending upon your time of the year beware of the heat, triple digit days But a nice dip in the pool will take care of that Get out and explore Augusta is waiting

We live in town but wanted a weekend away from the teenagers that rule my house The room was clean and in order, the staff was friendly There is wear and tear in the building that should be addressed but I understand that it’s not supposed to be a five star resort

My only real gripes with my stay was that the hot tub was out of order and the club lounge was only stocked with bottled water They had two oranges in a bowl and a tea/coffee area No snacks or extra beverages I travel a lot for my job and stay almost exclusively at Marriott hotels I have titanium elite status with them and expect great service This is the most empty club lounge I’ve ever seen and I traveled doing government work durttbe height of COVID I’m kinda unhappy about the stay really and wish it had been different

Rob T

Rooms are comfortable and clean, but technology is slightly lagging iPhone clock with charging port but didn’t fit new models No USB ports I’m room, make sure you have a wall adapter

Very close and convenient to I-20 but the parking lot can be confusing 3 hotels share same area with entrances not clearly marked Bartender was very nice with great service

Positives very good breakfast, they bed was comfortable, the staff was nice and friendly

Negative the was supposed to be open till 11pm but staff left at 9, the pool area was very messy with wet towels and left behind items The main complaint is with the room Although nice to the eye There were red stains all over the floor, the closet door would not stay shut every time you came in the room or left it would smash in to it it was a glass door too It was rigged up in some way but it was not holding second the shower curtain had mold and mildew on it To me that the worst part No one wants to shower with mold Makes me cringes to think it never was washed or changed Over all it was nice looking but lacking in areas it was ok for 1 night stay but I probably wouldn’t stay there again

Honestly, my trip was a mess and felt exhausting That was until I met Logan This man is a hero and a legend

Logan’s service made me feel so welcome and so happy to stay I wish I could explain more about how amazing my customer service experience was with this man He helped me with everything I needed, never seemed bothered, and was just here to make my trip an absolute blast If I could rate the employees at this establishment, he was an absolute 11/10If the management needs to reach me, feel free to respond, otherwise- Logan if you’re reading this, keep being you

Danelle Farmer

The marketed free breakfast buffet was terrible My kids opted for cereal instead but only had 2 boxes of the kind the liked When asked if they had another box, she said no, but I guarantee they put more out tomorrow

The milk cartons were frozen, the drink machine was not working so we were told we could get drinks out of the cooler behind the bar When my husband grabbed a Coca Cola from said cooler, he was reprimanded and asked to put it back Confused, we were then told that we could only have juice from that cooler and the bar tender was supposed to remove the sodas the night before Not my problem Everyone has an attitude and one of the workers was even watching her iPad in the dining area when clearly they didn’t have enough food to last another hour of breakfast hours Terrible service Will not be back Room was clean though

I travel for work and this was the first place I stayed in Augusta 2 of the women at the front desk were not friendly, but there was a man that was nice and the manager seemed to help all of them every time I had questions He was very friendly

The room was clean and the only thing I can say was the couch was on the older side I had a fully stocked kitchen, separate sleeping/living spaces and that made it feel more like home Internet and TV were great Breakfast was fresh and fully stocked The only downfall here was the abandoned hotel next door that attracted some unwanted folks I felt safe during the day though Many restaurants within walking distance

The staff was absolutely wonderful and incredibly friendly, especially to my children Our room was spacious and clean The location was great, extremely close to Fort Gordon and an assortment of restaurants

The breakfast was okay, not the best hot options but better than nothing Overall I am extremely happy with our stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Greg Ripple

Hotel Staff was Friendly and helpful Reggie is a nice and helpful front desk associate Tabitha (name?) who hosts the Wednesday night dinner and also works the front is very sweet and helpful

The GM is also very accommodating The current hotel policy for housekeeping is a little bit frustrating but not because of the cleaning staff’s efforts , but just the frequency of the cleaning schedule All in all it is nice place to stay

Isaiah

The customer service is unparalleledThe women in the morning for breakfast are so nice to me and sweetThe maintenance staff Terrance and Coop are exceptionally fast and professional

They offered to swap out my whole AC unit without forcing me to move rooms again after I’d lost AC for 4 days!Im here for the next 6 months and was considering switching hotels but the professionalism and consistency is indisputableThanks again Terrance and Coop 🤙

I love this hotel The cleaning staff are super friendly, the front desk were awesome I have very little bad things to say about this place

10/10 would stay here againThe Good: They work with people moving in and out of the hotel, if you need a late checkout they will typically give it I asked for a late check out and they gave me 30 min more than I asked for They have complimentary washers and dryers which aren’t the best, but they are better than nothing! Each room has a stove, pots/pans, dishwasher, microwave, big refrigerator I love it In the middle of the hotel is an outdoor pool with several covered patiosThe Bad: The towels are rough on the skin That’s about itOverall you can’t beat the location, the price, the convenience of this hotel

Beth Minyard

The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are great! However, the cleaning staff is not that great During my stay, I was taking an exam on my computer in my room when the cleaning lady came by to clean my room in the morning I had no control over the time of this exam and we had to be in our rooms due to covid precautions

The cleaning staff come at random times to clean your room once a week–which is fine–but this leaves the customer unprepared for the services since we have no knowledge of when they are coming that day So, when the cleaning lady came to clean my room, I explained to her that I was taking an exam and I asked her if she could come back later (as this was a timed exam that was already started) She told me she could not come back I asked her why and she said, “The cart is too heavy” My room obviously did not get cleaned so I called the front desk to ask if they could clean my room the next day and they said, “Sorry we can’t” and rudely hung up on me I called them the next day and they told me, “We’ll get back to you about another day, possibly” I have not heard back from themThe cleaning service also never leave enough living essentials, such as–toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and/or towels I temporarily lived there because I was there for a school so I have to have a way to “live” I should not have to continuously beg them to give me more from the front deskThe hotel staff are very nice most of the time and I would stay here again, but the cleaning staff don’t do that great of a job cleaning

Extremely worth the money! If you have access to the base, this is the way to go Without a doubt, the money is worth it, trust this random stranger on the internet Most modern hotel/suite in the entire Augusta area

Great bathroom, great laundry room, great pool The location is amazing, there is a food court and PX right next to the hotel! There are legitimately no complaints I have about this place

I travel for work 3-4 days a week and I have stayed here on a couple occasions The front desk service is exceptional I waited approx 15 min while the housekeeping supervisor inspected our room to ensure it was ready and without asking, the front desk gave me either a free drink or free meal at the hotel bar to use during my stay

One of the bartenders was extremely friendly and entertaining! The pool is clean, breakfast is fresh and the rooms are immaculate The view is great for the area It is very pet friendly with plenty of grass and dog poop bags supplied with garbage cans outside Highly recommend Pet fee is $75 for our 2 dogs for 1-6 day stay and then more if you stay longer than that You can not beat that Most places is $30/night

Don Flint (kingdonald83)

The customer service has been exceptionally great The hotel is really clean and I look forward to having a drink or two at the bar this weekendUpdate: the water has not been hot consistently and taking showers hasn’t been the most pleasant

I was informed that they were going to send someone out to look into it I’ll keep updating this post until I leave The service here is still great

We stayed here for a month on business and the suite was great They had a nice kitchen with everything you need and a big refrigeratorThey also had a nice selection for breakfasts and kept changing it up so you didn’t get tired of it, even after a month

We also brought our two cats and the staff was kind enough to give us a room not too close to anyone else and next to a door They were also very helpful when scheduling cleanings so we had ample time to get the cats outOverall this was a great place to stay with staff that goes above and beyondPS The Wednesday social was a nice surprise that kept the stay fun

Kartik Ganjoo

Spacious hotel rooms equipped with a full kitchen, an ever-changing breakfast, and friendly staff! If I am in the area again, I will stay here againI stayed at the Homewood Suites for a month on a business trip In that time I used almost every amenity and became familiar with the staff and hotel

The room I got was spacious with a kitchen, table for two, a living room with a couch that could fold out and a TV, a massive bedroom with a king sozed bed and a TV, and a big bathroom The kitchen came with pots, pans, plates, cutlery, two knives, cutting board, a toaster, microwave, two electric burners, a 3/4 size fridge, garbage disposal, and dishwasher The knives are very basic, so it would behoove you to bring a better all purpose kitchen knife The pot lids do not have a venting hole so they do stick to the pot and can have a pseudo-pressure cooker effect In addition, the trash can should be bigger to accommodate trash enough for a week I was struggling with disposal space after 2-3 daysThe staff is very friendly and make you feel at home They got to know me, my fiance, and my cats, and were always ready with a smileThe breakfasts were filling, varied, and made with care I enjoyed the variety, especially after being there for a monthI would recommend this hotel to visitors or business travellers and will be returning in the future!

Joshua Tutt

This was a first and might be my last time staying at this location, Travis at the front desk was absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful I could tell when he was not on shift because the other front desk staff really didn’t give a d*** I called down several times for towels and dishwasher liquid and was told someone would bring them up, after about a 3 hour wait I decided to go down and get them myself, only to be told that all they had was 2 towels (really)

Upon entering the really nice king suite, I thought everything would be dang near perfect… a sprinkler in the kitchen ceiling almost coming out of the holder… The housekeepers REALLY need to focus on cleaning the room properly, and if there is an inspector they need to be retrained… Behind the front door looked like kitty litter was left on the floor… The bathroom floor and tub COVERED with hair… The bed linen had hair underneath the pillow… A plastic bag left from a previous guest underneath the tv… A hair bow left in the nightstand drawerI am an hotel inspector and of course I would expect nothing but spotless rooms as would a regular guest

The hotel overall is nice and clean The rooms are spacious and have a great layout to optimize that space The furniture and walls in two out of the three rooms in my group had some spots and stains that likely could have been resolved with some elbow grease but otherwise they appeared clean

A hotel this size in such a warm humid climate should probably have a larger pool to adequately accommodate their guests This one was so small that barely more than a few people could use it at a time so my family wasn’t able to fit in

yazmeng chou

Most of the staff was nice although some were very very weird I hate how there are a lot of construction workers starring you down and hanging out outside at night One worker told us to get out when we can and best to believe we definitely did

The dog room was RINK! There is weed smells in the hallway I hated it there We needed up staying one night out of the two The lobby is nice and that’s it I gave it to starts for the nice staff ig The sheets were clean It’s A hotel for If you’re not staying in the room most of time

K.A. Fabricators LLC

The worse experience at this Best Western location Front desk was very rude and did not know how to do their job Charged my credit card and did not let me know until I let them know

I used my points for the first night but still charged my card I am a Diamond Select and should not have been charged Very very unprofessional staff here Nasty stay and will NEVER stay here I feel bad for the people that are going to be staying here for the Masters, will be getting charged for every little thing here Rates will probably be 1,00000 for a nasty hotel DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!

I’ve been here many times to use the public meeting conference area to meet with my Clients I’ve always found the dining area, lobby, bar area and even the restroom to be very clean, orderly and stocked The Staff are A-1

More than just nice or pleasant, they always project a very warm and welcoming attitude You feel like they actually WANT you to stay there- that’s not a common feeling with a lot of businesses KUDOS to them for maintaining high Service standards 💯😁

Angie Nevels

The restaurant and bar is amazing, however, we checked in and the temperature was 80 degrees so we turned it down to 69 and went to eat Later in the evening we noticed the temp was at 75 degrees and we prefer cooler than that to sleep comfortably So we turned it all the way down to 63 degrees and waited over two hours

The temp outside is 75 degrees, same as the room, still I called front desk and they said they will send up maintenance He came in and pressed a couple of buttons and felt the air blowing on the unit and said, “ this is as cold as it’s going to get, it’s an older unit, so” Then I called front desk back and asked to change rooms and she told me that the maintenance said that it feels fine and that’s as cold as it’s going to get Then she told me that I want it freezing cold in there and it won’t do that I never complain, but I’m not looking for freezing cold, just a unit that cools beyond the outside temp! I’m laying in the room now, halfway under a sheet, completely unsatisfied with how this was handled I hope they address it for the next customer

Do not stay at this hotel I’m with a group with the US Army, we have had a reunion twice here In July 2021 the swimming pool was broken which was frustrating

In July 2022 the pool is still broken On the night of July 15 a group of us were in the lobby listening to music, ordering from the bar and grill The police came and told us to leave Not once did the hotel staff say we were loud or unruly I will never stay here or at another Hilton hotel again

I stayed here for a full consecutive year from AUG2021 – AUG2022 with my organization and I had a great experience with the staff, rooms, cleanliness, and food I would like to take the time to thank Ivy and Anita for being so kind, accommodating and helpful, they are the perfect staff to represent Residence Inn I want to thank the kitchen and cleaning staff as well for always greeting me throughout the day and their quality of work

Every single holiday the staff would thank us for our stay and leave cards in our room signed by all the staff They also had bags of candy and other thoughtful stuff throughout the year for us which made being away from home much easier Some of the people I am with had to depart to other locations briefly, but the staff made sure they would have a room when they got back and accommodated our constantly changing schedule All of the amenities were functioning throughout our entire stay thanks to their engineers If a washer or dryer went down, within a day or two it was fixed I had a door battery die for my lock after hours and the engineer drove all the way from home to come here and fix it for me Extremely nice of him and I appreciate him doing that since I had to depart early that morning and needed my room to be locked that day I would come back and stay here again just to see the staff I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in the Augusta area It is in a central location, minutes from the highway but nicely insulated and quiet I don’t hear the other guests in their rooms and the rooms are spacious All the rooms are equipped with dishes and cutlery complimented by a fridge, freezer, stove top / microwave The TV rotates 360 degrees to allow you to watch TV from bed or from the huge computer desk The dresser and nightstands have deep drawers that are hard to fill I probably dumped 3 weeks’ worth of clothes in them and still have room for more The Mirror Closet is also big and comes with 10-12 hangers

The Residence Inn has truly been my home away from home My stays at this hotel have ranged from 1night to 3 months at a time The smiling faces of the staff tell me that they love what they do and operate daily in a stress free environment because it’s also the feeling you get when walking in the building

The cool modern decor and spacious rooms combined with various sections of stylish seating for folks to gather and conversate gives me a warm feeling like the words “Brotherly Love” do when spokenMy work has moved me all around and my life has carried me out to some of the strangest places, but at least I can feel safe and relaxed thanks to the awesome Staff at this beautiful Residence Inn location! I know without question that whenever I need a place to stay in Augusta, I will feel just like I’m at home here ☺️❤️

I travel for work all the time I have to say, this has been the best experience ever The entire staff is super friendly!! They don’t just give the basic “hello”, they engage in friendly conversation, its like we knew each other for years

If you need anything, they provide it they go above and beyond All in all, if I’m ever in the Augusta area again, this is the place I’m staying! 5 stars is cutting them short, they are beyond the 5 star scale

The room was very clean The bed was extremely comfortable the surrounding area was very quiet and soothing The food of course was excellent

The employee who went above and beyond was Chad orginally from PA, we appreciate you for your professional work, patience, knowledge, commitment and dedication and service to your customers This company should be proud to have you on their team Thanks again!

As compared to its competition (ie, Hyatt Place-Miami FL), the Hampton Inn-Gordon Augusta GA Team was exceptional

The front desk was welcoming, polite, and professional “as-observed” to all guests They were willing and able to ensure guest had fresh coffee after a long drive The breakfast staff/cook was fun She was engaging and her grits was amazing, as was all the food that was prepared The room and amenities were as expected The Hampton Gordon Team are true Hampton Inn by Hilton “Brand Champions”

Stayed here last weekend because of a wedding in Appling The setup was amazing and I loved how the rooms where spacious and my bed was super comfortable! Ronald is the man! He is a great guy who still left me the key to my room even though I arrived after check in hours due to a delayed flight If I’m ever in Augusta or a surrounding area again I’m definitely staying here!

Tinisha Washington

The Manager Ronald was absolutely amazing! I rushed to Augusta GA from Charlotte NC due to a family emergency In which my travel is usually preplanned in advance Under the circumstances I accidentally booked my hotel reservation for May 12 instead of May 5

Ronald was patient, kind, empathetic and very eager to correct my and issue by ensuring that the check-in was as smoothly as possible

While the location isn’t bad, I don’t think I’d stay here again On the surface, the room and bathroom look very nice and modern However, I found it to not be as clean as I’d hoped

There were hard brown food crumbs on the chaise in the room They were clearly visible, so I’m not sure how it was missed I had to wipe down the flat surfaces because of residue on them The floor right outside of the shower had black gunk spots For some reason, one spot in the bathroom would always be wet like water was leaking from somewhere I had to call down to the front desk to get another comforter because the inside of mine had strands of random hair on itThe fridge had a big chunk of ice in the back which was melting in the fridge When I first checked in, I noticed that my room did not have a ‘do not disturb’ sign on it I didn’t think much of it until housekeeping came POUNDING on the door before 9am I guess they thought I had checked out even though checkout isnt until 11am And for some reason, even after 48 hours, my Hilton Honors points weren’t posted for my stay I ended up having to call customer care to get it resolved

Nice staff, they were pleasant But go elsewhere – this hotel looks shiny and new in online reviews, but the hotel suffers from massive humidity and cleanliness issues Wet walls, black mold on ceilings, mildew and water everywhere

We moved from our first room because the ceiling was almost solid black with mold Next room had less mold, but wet walls, wet floors and damp carpet and sheets Moisture on furniture, remote, etc Nothing was ever dry The HVAC didn’t turn off even when you turned it off, and it was weird both rooms were set to 60 degrees when we walked in (that won’t dry it up folks!) The staff said “it’s always like this in the summer”, but it shouldn’t be and it’s got to be dangerous for mold, bacteria Far, far below normal Hampton Inn standards and a possible health concern The sleeping in damp sheets was awful as well I was thankful the nice staff refunded my points for this stay I hope the parent company will fix this building’s issue soon

I typically try to stay at Hampton and have never been disappointed until now Our room wasn’t cleaned very well with hair in the shower and on the bedside table The bedside table also had not been wiped down with rings and sticky stuff on it and crumbs on the pull out shelf

The sink was slow to drain and the water pressure and temperature in the shower was up and down Most concerning is now that I’m home I have strange bites on my legs and I’m concerned the room has bedbugs (528) & if so I have now brought them into my home Sickening The ice machine on our floor wasn’t working Service was decent but the complementary breakfast was not good Overall this was my worst stay at a Hampton ever and now after reading some of the reviews not sure how they can continue to not clean the rooms effectively with so many people reporting over the past year

Very friendly staff and extremely clean hotel They have an indoor pool which is definitely a bonus and the breakfast area is great They had scrambled eggs and sausages and biscuits and gravy

They also have to go bags and you can just grab and go if you need to Staff in the breakfast area was extremely helpful and friendly and even offered my grandson’s extra cinnamon rolls when they were closing up Would definitely visit this location again The only downside I could see was that it is very close to the freeway and you can hear some of the road noise There are three or four other hotels right near there but I thought this one seems like a good one This pleasantly surprised me

I’ll start with the pros of this hotel The front desk people are very nice It is super close to the highway for easy access and plenty of parking

There are lots of restaurants nearby to choose from The room is clean and no bad smells There is a working fridge and microwave in the room And the pool is great! Nice and big, warm, and indoors with a small hot tub as well Unfortunately the pool itself wasn’t the cleanest The TV in the room is small The decor is a bit dated, not very good carpet in the hallway Breakfast was the worst part of the experience by far It ends at 9:30, we got down there at 9 No cinnamon rolls, sausage gravy was out, pancake making machine “does not work,” and nothing got refilled in the last half hour except one coffee container The kids were very disappointed Part of the reason we choose holiday inn express hotels is for the breakfast, and this one was a huge letdown The two guys working the breakfast service did not seem to care at all, didn’t smile, poor customer service Everyone else working in the hotel that we came across is friendly and helpful Overall, the pool is the best part

The room was very clean and comfortable Everything was fine until the next morning when we were checking out The front desk manager was very rude and insensitive to my service dog

She followed me outside the hotel as I was walking my dog and asked if I was a guest I answered yes She then proceeded to tell me that dogs were not allowed I said that they were according to the website and IHGShe said that it was not soBut it is I said She was pretty much calling me a liarI told her that I have stayed at many IHG Holiday Inn Express hotels and never had a problem The clerk at the front desk was aware that I had a service dog and he said that they didn’t discriminate against service animals

This place needs major renovations done The entrance to hotel is probably the cleanest part of our stay The desk chair in our room was dirty, It was something sticky on the headboard and I was scared to take my shoes off

It’s so much rust in the bathroom, the door was damaged it looks like they spray painted the walls & bathtub I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s mold on the ceilings It was the only hotel that I could get at the last minute but i was ready to go as soon as we checked in It was quiet the bed looked clean Everything else had light dust on it The breakfast was goodJanet was the only staff member that looked like she worked there Everyone else had on street clothes or wasn’t in proper business attire (even a uniform) Staff was nice but if I ever come back it WONT BE AT THIS LOCATION Yikes!

My wife and I got one of the king room suites When we arrived, an hour after check in time they said they didn’t think our room was ready yet So they checked and it was but when we got to our room it was not 100% clean

The floor was sticky and needed to be clean There were towels that were dirty and had other peoples hair and make up on it The extra pillows that they had in the room also had dirty pillow cases on them so I couldn’t use them We asked to get our room clean and when we came back from our day there was a cup with our candy in it that we did not fill up The room was cleaner this time then when we first got it but the couch was still dirty, the carpet was still sticky and we felt violated from them eating our candy! I have never felt like someone went through my belongings in any stay at any hotel ever Corporate needs to check this location asap! The only thing we enjoyed was the comfortable bed and cleanliness of the bed and that there was a waffle house walking distance!

I was in town for business and the hotel & suite was much better than I was expecting! Microwave, 4 ft fridge with freezer space, Keurig, massive shower stall, hair dryer, comfortable bed, seating area, desk and wall mounted, movable tvSoap, shampoo & conditioner (minis come in every hotel) but they had full bottles of body wash, shampoo & conditioner, mouth wash, lotion and I was so thankful for the make up wipes because I forgot mine! It was too cold to swim in March but being a Florida girl at heart, I had to check out the pool & pool deck It warmed my heart to see the wheel chair lift pool side, I even took posted a picture of it

It’s something majority of hotels don’t even consider The hotel and the pool desk are both wheelchair accessible
