Delightful Inn The staff is amazing and took care of every detail The Inn is charming, very clean and nicely decorated

I was visiting because my sister had passed away, so not exactly in the best mood or festive Everyone was so compassionate and accommodating The breakfast every morning was excellent and the wine and cheese social in the late afternoon offers am opportunity to relax Their homemade pimento cheese spread is delicious! Thank you Waverly Inn for ensuring that a sad situation still will hold fond memories I look forward to returning just for a fun trip!

We spent the night at the 1898 Waverly Inn as a scouting mission before having our family reunion there The inn is beautiful! Mike and Tracey are wonderful people – very welcoming The location is perfect

It’s located about a block from the beginning of the shopping on Main Street If you’re wondering if you should choose the breakfast/social hour option with your room, the answer is yes Breakfast was absolutely delicious The snacks served during the social hour were very good and there was a nice selection of drinks We met so many nice, interesting people during the social hour, it was a fun experience I can’t wait to go back in June and share this wonderful place with the rest of my family

Jason Benjamin

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights here We enjoyed everything about the place The staff are amazing

Mike and Tracey worked just as hard as any of their employees to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we wanted We got the feeling all the employees were genuinely happy to work thereThe location is great The social hour with complimentary drinks and cheese/meat plate was a wonderful surprise We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for lodging in Hendersonville

I stay in a lot of Hilton Hotels and this one while the rooms were on the small side, they were clean and comfortable It has a small indoor pool and a little fitness center with three total machines in it I did not use the fitness center because it was just so hot, stuffy and humid I couldn’t do it

Breakfast was okay with egg patties, sliced sausage, oatmeal, fresh bananas and pastries Coffee and juices I didn’t have any contact with the front desk or other staff because of checking in and out through the app

Linda T

Not the best Hampton Inn, rooms small, air conditioning did nothing for the moisture so everything including our cloths felt damp No housekeeping unless requested The beds were too soft so it was difficult to get a good night sleep

Breakfast typical of hotels, fake eggs, greasy meat It is pet friendly and has adequate walking area around hotel For $200 a night I definitely expect better

S Emasoc

Convenient location, that’s it I had to go back to read the reviews to make sure I read the correct ones when I booked it We are diamond members, so we stay in Hiltons often

I have to say, this is probably one of the most outdated and uncomfortable ones we’ve ever stayed out The beds and pillows were super uncomfortable, the decor in the rooms are straight from the 80s and common areas dirty, run down looking The room was super dusty everywhere and the a/c was loud and clunky sounding We probably would’ve found a different hotel had it not been so late If you go travel often, you may not notice, but we did Would not stay here again

We stayed here one night on our journey from KY to GA and I cannot say enough about how great our stay was First off, the staff Best part of our stay!! They were so kind, so helpful and understanding

I was amazed We were traveling with a dog and a BABY and they helped accommodate both They even wrote on the envelope for our key card, had a nice note they left at our door on the day we were checking out AND left chocolates on our bed for us!! They even had a pack & play for our son We definitely want to go back here The hotel was beautiful, well kept, yes the carpets need to be replaced but that’s minor compared to how nice everything was We had a well stocked kitchen in our room and everything! We’ll be back 🙂

Caroline Brown

Cheryl at the front desk was so kind and helpful! The staff is really extraordinary here We’ve enjoyed our stay so much The lodge feel is really so different than any other hotel experience

We felt comfortable and safe and it was the perfect distance to the adventures we planned during our stay We loved the indoor pool during the cold weather, a perfect way to relax and let the kids get some energy out!

Some aspects were amazing and others very disappointing but in a nutshell not quite what you’d expect for the cost and would stay elsewhere next time My daughter and I stayed for two weekend nights We had massages, and dinner one night

The hot tub jets and filters were broken both nights, the Speakeasy Bar closed both nights as well The massages were incredible Breakfast was very good as well both days although you have only one option The only vegetarian option for dinner was not great – tortellini which is pretty easily made at home- again nothing special for the price We wanted so badly to love it and tried to be good sports as the owner acknowledges below – but I’d never return or recommend it for the cost and night #2 was the turning point My daughter did talk to the owner after dinner on the last night when We were offered $5 off gift card in the gift shop IF we spent more money As a customer service person herself, my daughter felt this was the point something needed to be said and did so directly to the owner A few of the staff were absolutely wonderful and I would have given it the highest marks with some effort to acknowledge the issues for a weekend this expensive – well over $900 We stayed at a historic B&B our last night of the trip in downtown Asheville- less expensive and unbelievably better management and effort for making things special -noticeable touches lacking at the Esmeralda which compelled me to write this – but thankfully our trip ended on a great note and this in no way ruined it We appreciate everything Good memories and we can laugh about the bad ones

Robert Heers

The Esmeralda Inn is a wonderful place to come and relax and be pampered! My wife and I had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back with our kids another time Each dinner experience was great, and the gourmet breakfast every morning was unique and amazing, especially considering that it’s included! The staff is all very attentive, and there were no details missed They are knowledgeable and considerate, asking us about our day each time we passed the front desk or saw someone in the hall

It is very intimate and cozy The rooms are comfortable but not extravagant, just what we expected The s’mores by wood burning fire and quiet relaxation on the wrap-around porch were absolutely perfect We also definitely enjoyed our picnic lunch at the cabin park on the picturesque river Highly recommended! Thank you!

The Cagles

So I called this place at 900pm they had me in a room by the time My wife and I arrived Immediately felt at home when we walked in The wood staircase and a fire going were amazing to experience

Took me back to a time I never got to experience just for a moment The rooms are a bit drab, the tv was blurry and the view from room 7 is a fire exit! Was told all the rooms have great views we only stayed from 10 that night to 11 the next morning (Was hoping for a slight discount 😀) either way, I’m not complaining I wanted to take my wife on an impromptu spa vacation day and the people at the inn made it all possible we did not get to experience the hot tub or dinner but breakfast was great Oh, and the two-hour couples massage was wow My only complaint is looking up at a metal-air vent while trying to relax Just a suggestion!!Thank you and we will be back

The Bent Creek Lodge was such a wonderful experience We stayed the weekend there for a wedding and everything about this place was amazing Our room was spacious and clean with a huge jacuzzi tub and a back door to the porch area

The gardens and surrounding areas are gorgeous and the hospitality was immaculate Delicious breakfasts and hot coffee served every morning with complimentary homemade cookies throughout the day were fantastic Randy and Linda and the other ladies who worked there made our stay such a joyful experience I normally don’t write such long winded reviews but this place is top notch and I will definitely be back 10/10 absolutely recommended

Rebecca Tirs

What an incredible stay we had The bedroom/bathroom had everything we needed The family room had rocking chairs, games, a pool table, snacks, fridge, microwave, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, filtered water, plates, & utensils

It was so well thought out! We sat outside on the back deck every morning watching the hummingbirds, eating breakfast (which was delicious, healthy, & thoughtful considering I’m a vegetarian) and every evening sitting outside our room overlooking the beautiful garden listening to the birds chirp We also had interesting conversations with other guests What set this B & B apart from others were the owner & staff Randy, the owner, was a wealth of information, professional, on top of anything we needed, and very nice The staff, Linda, Abby, & Emily, were all very sweet, funny, and kept things running like a well oiled machine They felt like family- but the kind you love seeing 😉 My mom hadn’t had a vacation in over 25 years bc of caring for her husband who was a quadriplegic When he passed it was time to give mom a breath of fresh air, a good time, and a relaxing place to stay- that was Bent Creek Lodge Thanks for being such a wonderful “home” base while we were on vacation Loved the lodge & loved the people <3

Allyson Prace

My husband and I recently stayed at the Bent Creek Lodge Hands down, this was a wonderful choice! The owner, Randy, and his A+ staff are hard to beat Randy was a great host – absolutely at the ready to make our stay perfect

Linda checked us in and was the main “concierge” — just a delightful, friendly, funny personality and nature expert that made us feel right at home Tracy is a GREAT chef who prepared incredible breakfasts that would power you to hike the Blue Ridge Mountains all day! If you want to avoid the busy city area and desire a very peaceful setting in the woods, you need not look any farther We will be returning!

First, I want to say that this is not a bed and breakfast We booked this Inn under the assumption that it did provide a hot breakfast A lot of the reviews said the breakfast was so spectacular and depending on where you look on internet, you can see it described as a B&B

With that being said, they did have packaged pastries, granola bars, oatmeal and yogurt out for consumption (much like a standard hotel) Keurig coffee makers are available for coffee The room was immaculate, the bedding super comfortable and the house was stunning We didn’t really see the owners as no one was on site to greet us or check us out (you let yourself in with a code provided in email) They didn’t stock water, soft drinks or ice I was asked one morning if I needed more towels or some waters, but I wasn’t sure if that was the innkeeper or not From what we can tell, no one came into room to clean So it is a beautiful place but more for those who want privacy and no interaction Our air conditioner did make a lot of noise but we didn’t tell anyone as we weren’t sure who to tell One last thing, it is super close to town, within walking distance and a straight, easy walk (less than a mile)

1811norm

This was relaxing for us We have not travelled much in about 2 years because of COVID, quarantines, masking etc and we still won’t But i wanted to go somewhere that I could drive without the hassale of masking and free of the political paranoia of Covid

This place was the ticket Friendly surroundings, comfortable and welcoming staff Janet the innkeeper, is a treasure The rooms were spacious and a warm inviting environment We want to return with a group of friends to The Melange Hendersonville is a great place to walk and feel safe unlike Asheville No belligerent panhandlers or homeless people to threaten your stay We have a Jeep so we explored the Saluda Grade rail track about 20 minutes away that was once the steepest grade in North America So many things to see Do your homework and plan your stay The Melange will not disappoint

Lauren M

Melange Bed and Breakfast is a gem Beautiful old world elegance in a welcoming atmosphereOnce you walk in the door, you feel as though you’ve walked into another time

Very peacefulIt’s fun to explore and look at all the art work Chandeliers are gorgeousOur 8 year old son said it was such a beautiful place and his breakfast was perfect! The owners are kind and really put thought into everythingOur room was very clean and cozy You have a big personal balcony you can walk right out of your room ontoAnd we thank the owners for the sweet delectable surprise that we had waiting for us in our room when we checked in! It was so good! We are thankful to have stayed there <3

What an enjoyable Inn We called last minute to find a pleasant receptionist, letting us know of room openings At that time we decided not to make reservations

When we arrived to check in there were 2 room’s available A studio room and a suite with a jacuzzi My husband and I chose the room with the jacuzzi, and my brother the studio After driving from Maine Tuesday, driving 10 hours the first day, and, 12 the next day Needless to say, for me was the enjoyment of a jacuzzi bath at the end of the day! The room was spotless, as well as the tub! Thank you so much!

Very beautiful place Staff was awesome very friendly also Have a emotional support dog and there was a security that was covering the front desk

He didn’t know how to put it in the system cause we wa just covering for someone so he charged us 2500 for the dog but in the morning they took the 2500 off the bill Awesome place I will go back there again And the room we stayed in was huge and the king bed was so very comfy and I have a bad back and it didn’t hurt me at all and usually I’m in pain

I come from the industry as a hotelier GM I’ve worked over multiple properties and different brands Marriott traditionally puts more stock into the human interaction versus the cleanliness requirements

I am here to say this was by far the cleanest Marriott I have ever stayed at I use a light and inspect as soon as I check in to any room I did not have to be moved or clean anythingStaff was amazing and attentive Friendly and welcoming The GM came out and greeted as well! Will stay there again!

Debra Roof

We enjoyed a very comfortable 2 room suite Very clean, comfy bed, sofa bed pullout in 2nd room, 2 TVs Staff friendly and we were extended a late checkout time

We travel to Flat Rock multiple times a year and this was our first stay at the Fairfield Marriott Sorry Holiday Inn but you just lost our business But next time, Fairfield Marriott, PLEASE install towel bars in bathrooms!

I was part of a wedding here this past weekend The veranda is a great place to host a wedding The poolside courtyard makes for an excellent backdrop to recite vows

The staff was very attentive, dinner service was a little chaotic at first but they got it sorted quickly The food was good, would come back here just to eat The main inn is very reminiscent of a large quaint bed and breakfast Patrick the inn manager is very engaged and overall it was a fun wedding experience

Brittany Johnson

We did not stay here, but my husband and I like to eat at the restaurant every year for our anniversary We like to eat dinner and the prime rib Sunday brunch In the past we always have to book ahead so this year I had been trying to book since the beginning of July and the front desk lady named Judy continued to put us on hold and told us to continue to call back with an attitude each time as if we were bothering her

We know the food is delicious and that’s why we continued to try to call and get booked It took 4 phone calls and finally a few days before, after a 20 minute hold with Judy, we got booked I did call before this after the 3rd time of speaking with Judy and left a message for the manager over the restaurant to try and get booked that way and never received a callback and still haven’t Dinner was fine But when we got there for breakfast on Sunday morning a lady named Amy greeted my husband and I by rudely saying can I help you? We were in the line for brunch at 9:50 am so it was obvious why we were there but we told her we were there for our reservation at 10 am Then she reminded my husband and I in a very rude tone that the brunch did not start until 10 AM which we were fully aware of but the line gets extremely long and we were only about 10 minutes early and fully willing to wait Again she treated us as we were bothering her We thought about leaving at that point, but we decided to stay and eat because we saw Kathi was going to be our server and she is great We will probably not be returning for the restaurant and most certainly will not be thinking about staying after this trip It’s sad that the service was so awful because the food really is delicious Can’t imagine how much business they have lost and will continue to lose due to these two ladies

Art Register

So, the question asked is “why was your stay excellent?” Well, there’s not enough room for me to list all of those reason, so, I’ll hit the high points… Last night I married the love of my life here at the 1927 Lake Lure Inn We planned this day for months, and when it came, the Inn didn’t disappoint

Were there bumps and hurdles, yes Did they bob and weave, yes Was this weekend perfect, yes Patrick attended to every one of our needs He, and his support team, provided us with the best experience imaginable Hunter also provided us with an amazing experience in the bar, and believe me, that’s a tall order The food was amazing as well, with a perfect med rare on our prime rib Over all, this weekend was spectacular, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with this venue We will continue to celebrate our lives here, as it’s that special Bravo 1927 LLI, you knocked it out of the park

TOFU GIRL

Lovely lovely place I really enjoyed staying in the Woodward House- felt like my girlfriend and I had our own little cottage Really wonderful interiors, I loved everything!! The breakfast served in the morning is delicious too! Overall a great stay, and I hope to come back again and explore the grounds some more

Such a beautiful area

Loved our stay at the Dragon Fly cottage Furnished very nicely with anything you might need Close to everything! We will be back! Our only criticism is the pool

since we stayed at the cottages on the complex and not at the Inn,, they charged a daily fee per person to use the pool It was very expensive but the kids would have been very dissapointed if they couldn’t swimafter hiking most of the day Everything is on the same complex, property, and owed by the same family They need to work out a compromise so that people staying in the cottages have pool privileges for their stay at a minimal cost Paying that much money for 2 days and 4 hours of swimming was ridiculously expensive

Beautiful location situated in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains The lodges, office & restaurant all give a rustic, vintage feel The room was very clean and felt as if I was in a guest-room in someone else’s house

The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable (probably needs to be replaced), but this is the only criticism I can give The grounds are beautiful, with a lake that has a fishing pier, lots of walking/hiking trails, a swimming pool, swings, and hammocks The breakfast at Season’s is fantastic! A truly southern-style buffet, with all the fixins Great experience staying with Highland Lake Inn We will certainly be back next year!

My wife and I loved this place this was our first time staying in a B and B we couldn’t be more happy Kristen was so personable The breakfast was delicious we had Belgium waffles with blueberries and strawberries and scrambled eggs

The coffee was delicious as well (and I’m very particular about my coffee) I typically drink only Italian/Spanish coffee We would definitely stay again There is a small bridge right outside where you have a view of the broad river it’s so relaxing Look forward to trying the mini golf course attached to the inn next time Thank you for opening your home Stephanie and I wish you both continued success

I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Broad River Inn during a solo overnight trip and it was absolutely fantastic The Inn was very clean, charming and had a completely different atmosphere and feel to it than a typical hotel The location was also perfect

I stayed in Room 8 which was downstairs and perfect for my needs It had a super comfortable king bed and a “to-die-for” shower with three different shower heads including a rainfall head directly above Attached to the room was a balcony that was twice the size of what I would have expected It overlooked the 18-hole mini golf course and river and had various comfortable seating options and even a small refrigerator for my use Sitting on this balcony seeing and hearing the sound of the river running was so relaxing Lastly, I had the opportunity to chat with the owner Kristen during breakfast and could immediately tell she truly cared about my experience and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my stay I could go on and on about things I loved about this Inn, but I would certainly recommend it to anyone staying in the Chimney Rock area You won’t be disappointed!

So, glad we picked to stay at the Broad River Inn Nick and Kristen made us feel like home, they were not just our hostess they were friends, they were attentive , friendly, humble The house has so much history it takes you back in time, but still shows you the beauty of all the details the have put into it, keeping it as original as possible

The views surrounding the house is breath taking making you part of nature Sleeping with the sound of the river is relaxing, therapeutic I would say The complimentary breakfast was delicious, well balanced Serve by Nick and Kristen them self We wish the best to Nick and Kristen and we will definitely will be back If you want the best place to stay in Chimney Rock the Broad River Inn is the place
