Not a single complaint From the beginning, we were treated with top notch service Our flight was early in the day, so we planned on dropping our bags and exploring the area, but our room was ready before 11am (which might have just been circumstantial – but still a nice bonus!)

The hotel is beautiful and the grounds picturesque Great centralized location Short walk to the beach, bars and stores Located on the sound, made for incredible sunset views in the evening We dined at the Secret Garden our first night and were impressed with the quality of food and service Our return flight was later in the day, we were told we could stay as late as we needed which was like having a full added day Highly recommend staying here! We are customers for life!! Well done Pillars

Wonderful This is an oasis in the city We felt like we were on a private tropical island

The rooms are comfy and modern, open up to the courtyard with a small but nice pool, and a beautiful deck on the waterway The staff are fantastic Professional, highly attentive and helpful, and clearly care about the guests We felt immediately at “home” here The food is exceptional They have a amazing dinner nightly that is open only to guests and members of their private dinner club I can’t say enough about what a great stay we had Highly recommend this

A++I prefer boutique hotels vs large chains mainly for the personal touch and friendlier feel Their onsite restaurant is top notch, not even exaggerating

Extraordinary staff, professional and friendly I like how they arbitrarily checked on me to see if I was enjoying my vacation, not just as it related to my stayHighly recommend

We had such a pleasant experience at this hotel prior to going on our cruise The hotel was a quick shuttle drive away The hold time was long when I tried to call for a shuttle

Luckily, another guest already called one and it came before the front desk staff answeredWe requested a crib when we made reservations However, it wasn’t in the room when we checked in We called front desk and within 10 minutes, the crib was deliveredThe room is spacious, modern, and cleanWe had breakfast and dinner during our stay The woman who served us for dinner was so friendly and provided great service Food was actually good for a hotel chain and it came out quick Breakfast was a bit slower as only one server was working the entire floorThis hotel also provides shuttle service to the cruise terminal which was very convenientWe would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in the area or need a place to stay before your cruise

Victor Stanley (Shar and Vic)

Very new Marriott that’s also attached to the AC Hotel This place was very nice and the staff even nicerThe M Lounge was well stocked and that helped us out a lot with being a trip and getting back at odd hours

The lounge/ restaurant area was very nice as was the patio area outside The bar staff and the wait staff we very good at their jobs and made you feel right at home Even when it was busy they didn’t put you off or make you feel rushedThe bellmen and valet Staff were greatIt’s also in a great area that has shopping and many restaurant options to choose from if you don’t want to eat at the hotelThe food at the hotel was great we had a breakfast omelette that was outstanding There is construction going on around the motel so watch out for the trucksThe only thing that odd was the pool hours it closes at dark No one knew why just the policyHelen, George, Randa, V among others made our stay great The Stanley’s truly appreciated all you did for us

Pete P

A new hotel, as such very clean and modern With hard floors and nice showers Very good service with courteous employees

The location is a bit out of the way for an airport hotel, and the shuttle service is very slow! Even though they advertised airport shuttle service, they refused to pick me up from the airport after I dropped off my rental car! The next morning, I almost missed my flight because the shuttle made an unannounced stop on the way! I was impressed by the bartender and quality of food though

Always enjoy staying at this hotel because of the friendly people working here (front desk, bar, dining and housekeeping all) The bar and the food options are REALLY good I have stayed here a dozen times and the staff has always made it an enjoyable experience

As a professional traveler, I would appreciate better options to charge my menagerie of electronic devices while in my room There is only one plug in the lamp between the beds and that plug would no support my charger There were no options to use a USB without a charger Had to put all of my devices across the room from the comfy corner chair and the bedsThe fitness room is small but has decent amount of equipment As people try to stay healthy on the road, I encourage the management to give the fitness room attention and keep things working properly so the customers can be safe and fit Only 1 of the 3 treadmills worked properlyThese rooms get a lot of use from the large amount of customers, so some of the amenities are getting a little worn down While the facilities will benefit some minor updating and maintenance, the management seems to have hired some of the nicest people in the industryLook forward to staying with you in the near future

Trish Boccuti

Nice hotel but definitely a little worn The staff was great – very friendly But the room had a sight musty smell and just looked a little old

The location was great – very easy to get to the airport, cruise terminal, and the beachThe food at the lobby bar was also really good!

Luis Pena

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a stay They compare countless hotel sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in this area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you decide to stay here you for sure won’t regret itStayed here night before our celebrity cruise left from port Everglades about half mile away! Very convenient, lots of shops and eateries close by, rooms were comfy, quiet and meticulous

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Hotel Maren in Fort Lauderdale First, the location was amazing, perfectly situated across from Central Beach and close to all the bars and restaurants but still very quiet Valet parking is very convenient with a top notch, attentive staff

All the employees have clearly been well trained to meet every need, and I especially want to call out Sean and Jeffrey who were both professional and very helpful during our stay We had had a very long day by the time we arrived for check in and the General Manager Stu so kindly upgraded us to an ocean view room and WOW!!!!! Great view doesn’t even begin to describe it! I woke up each morning to take pictures of the incredible sunrise! Our room was new, modern and spotless and we could keep our screen doors open and enjoy the sound of the waves, while also enjoying a view of the gorgeous pool Comfortable bed and a shower with great water pressure too We loved the free drinks included with the room (the frose was delicious) and enjoyed sitting on the couches in front of the entrance with a view of the ocean The overhead lights provided a little heat on a chilly night too We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning and loved the people watching and stellar service Finally, a big shout out to the GM Stu who took the time to chat with us and could not have been nicer You can tell he loves his job He has assembled and trained a fabulous staff (including the hostess at the restaurant and the members of housekeeping) We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Beautiful curated hotel for those who likes to enjoy modern and comfortable luxury stay Hotel have an easy access to the marina and ocean side The environment is very clean and well maintained

There’s friendly staff who works in every department in the hotel, you will feel at home Our favorite part is the huge balcony facing the ocean with loungers and chairs to relax in Rooms are spacious and very relaxing We love the fact that Starbucks is attached to the hotel along with a gift shop The restaurant serves delicious food and it’s always a delightful dining experience We will definitely stay here again if we travel to Fort Lauderdale in the future A true vacation !

Gabriela Cabezas

Had a great weekend stay at the Maren Check in was easy and the room was spacious, well maintained, and decorated nicely with comfortable beds Although access to all amenities was restricted to guests the ambiance was very relaxed and wasn’t oppressive at all

Service at restaurant and bars was friendly Great location with easy access to beach! Beautiful views from pool deck Only thing to note was that the valet is separate and not associated with the hotel so when we ran into issue they could not properly assist

Liked · Overall, hotel seemed like it was recently redesigned with modern interiors Crib services were provided upon request The TV in the room was huge and had streaming services

Blackout curtains were great Shower, mirror, and lighting in the bathroom were nice (The sink looked modern but was not designed for families with children though) Plenty of charging options in the roomThe pool, fitness room, lounge areas, bar were also nice The location is within minutes from the airport but guests would need a car to get to neighborhood spotsDisliked · Despite asking twice, housekeeping staff didn’t clean the room Toiletries were not replenished for a 4-night stay The bed was comfortable but the sheets didn’t stay put Only one robe was reserved for 2 adults Staff could also be more hospitableThe coffee bar in the lobby was also closed the entire duration of our stay Overall, the experience was pleasant but not great They could improve with more attention to detail

Tammy putnam

We could not be more pleased with this hotel! The staff at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was more than perfect! We had an early flight They didn’t hesitate to check us in early and promptly sent the shuttle to pick us up at the airport Our second stay we had a late flight and they accommodated us the same

The Cafe was nice with very friendly staff The bar was perfect Toro/ tequila library and restaurant exceed our expectations! Can not wait to stay again in the future! This will be our go to from now on!

Chuck Ginski

What a nice hotel! Check in and out was fast and courteous The room was clean with a comfortable bed and ample charging options And I especially enjoyed wine and an appetizer at the lobby lounge bar

The s lounge service was much appreciated after a long dayOne recommendation I would offer is to add Keurig coffee and tea machines to the rooms As a business person, who logs much hotel time, I’ve come to enjoy quality coffee and tea at night and again in the morning I actually carry my own tea bags and coffee pods with me during business tripsCoffee and tea aside, Le Meridian was an enjoyable experience

The hotel has a great location, right on the beach and the pools are great I think there is plenty of chairs too to lay out The room we stayed at was nice but was not cleaned well

They also don’t have coffee makers in the room, which is ridiculous for this 4 star hotel! There is very little reasonably priced food options nearby The restaurants at the resort are incredibly overpriced and the quality does not match They’re charging $4 for Hilton coffee! The fancy sounding yogurt parfait i got for $13 was a small cup sized – not filling at all The $15 alcoholic drink was in an 8 oz cup They are taking advantage of the location they have – wish the quality matched what they are charging – it does not!

We stayed here for 4 nights during the week I have to say I was very apprehensive before arrival because of the recent bad reviews Our stay was absolutely wonderful, so I wouldn’t put a lot of weight on the negative reviews

Our room was spacious, clean and had a nice view The pool area and beach are amazing, clean and relaxing Umbrella rental is $30 a day and they set it up for you with chairs The seaweed can be a bit annoying at times in the water, but what can you do The lobby is super airy, open and clean I went down to the coffee shop every morning around 8 and the line was less than 4 minutes, coffee strong and food good They had lots of fresh pastries and warm sandwiches to choose from The grocery store inside the hotel was super helpful throughout the week for random snacking for 2 teens and drinks throughout the day The Playa restaurant had great food and strong drinks It does tend to get busy as there are lots of guests at the hotel and limited seating as all restaurants do so plan accordingly It can all add up financially with food and drinks after a few days, but what else would you expect at a beach resort, it’s not a Holiday Inn, but not more expensive than other vacations we have taken Overall our stay was wonderful and will absolutely bring my family here again

Carolyn Bernhart

Hotel and grounds were beautiful! Well maintained and very clean Staff were friendly and welcoming I had a King oceanfront room with balcony and the views were gorgeous

The hotel charges a daily resort fee for pool and beach use, unfortunately the weather was a bit too cold to enjoy either It would be great if the resort fee were optional for those guests not planning to use these amenitiesOverall, a great stay at a beautiful property for a reasonable price!

From the moment I got there I was greeted with a smile, which made me feel at home Checking in was very easy and quickMy suite was very comfortable and everything was impeccable

The pool area is fantastic! Everyone there is very attentive toyour needs The sunset club has excellent appetizers; as well asalcoholic and non-alcoholic drinksThey have valet parking which is extremely important in Hollywood Beach! You don’t have to worry during your stay about your car being towed or ticketed

Tom Halasy

We stayed in room S201, it had a great view of the bay and was close to the elevator Very nice apartmentThe whole hotel is superb, the rooftop pool and its views are amazing

Thursday afternoons they have “Salsa and shots” on the roof with Claudia, that was a lot of fun We got margarita shots, the kids got lemonade for learning salsa :-)The only problem we had was with house keeping not leaving enough towels and toilet paper, but that was fixed quickly

Misty

I stayed here for 4 days and really enjoyed my time and look forward to coming back The rooftop pool, hot tub, restaurant/bar, and lounging areas were greatWe were given two beach chair rentals for free but opted to pay $20 for an umbrella

Really enjoyed the beach time and the attendants were very kind and hospitableThere’s a coffee bar on the ground floor with great coffee and food (hit or miss) There’s no restaurant on site but looked like one was coming Regardless, you’re in Lauderdale and on the broad walk so there’s plenty of food options aroundWas a bit shocked parking wasn’t included ($35/night) and the fees are just…a lot I have an additional $400 charge I’m still trying to figure out My fees should have totaled $150 + one night of valet (found cheaper parking down the road)Staff was all amazing but I did have one issue I was standing in the hallway in front of the door and an employee used a key to come into my room He was as shocked to see me as I was to see him as he never knocked or gave any indication he was entering I was about to get in the shower so that would have been a major issue for me I really felt unsettled after that

A great resort with an excellent location right on the beach Stayed for a week with the family and enjoyed our stay immensely The rooms are spacious and well appointed if a little dated in finishes

We had a great view of the pool area and could see the ocean as well The restaurants were all good food and reasonable prices with friendly servers The main pool was great for the family but can get a bit hot mid day before the shade returns With the weather we only went to the ocean a couple of times but being right on the beach is a great perk with a huge stretch of sand right out front that is relatively quiet and offers some views of the ships coming and going from port The place is great for kids as well with the playground, mini golf and pool It is centrally located for easy shopping or dining out and other entertainment options as well We had a great week and would definitely come back again

Terry Emerick

Great location with private beach The front desk was wonderful and helpful The pool was heated

The bathroom by the pool were spotless never seen such clean restrooms They did charge parking or resorts fees which was great The concierge was very helpful Jim was great Jill, Julia at the front desk Nicole was friendly at going around greeting everyone The only thing the hotel could not control was the weather and hurricane season Otherwise a great place to stay

The front of house staff and location were excellent The apartment was an excellent size and had everything we needed, it just needed some TLC, and a deep clean as the floor in the kitchen area was very sticky The bed wasn’t very comfortable, there wasn’t enough pillows

Having said that I would we would stay again just for the amazing view

Rooms are large and comfortable Building is showing age however the interior has been kept nice Breakfast is great and recommended getting down there around 7am to beat the crowds

Breakfast is from 6am-9am The pool area is a nice oasis offering shade at different parts of the day There is a hot tub just off the main pool The “E Spot” bar/restaurant downstairs next to the pool area has good food however it is the friendly staff that makes this spot worth your while My only complaint with this hotel is just the location It can be quite hard to get into the location from the busy strip Hope you found this helpful, I will definitely be back!

Nick Buono

Simply said – everything was great! My family of four (10 year and 6 year old) had an amazing 4 night stay Every staff member from receptionists to bartenders to maids were very pleasant and helpful The pool was well maintained

The restaurant was perfect for a light meal The complimentary breakfast had a variety of options, and while it did get busy at times, the staff was always working hard to keep lines moving and cleaning tables off My kids loved the classic “Embassy feel” of the open atrium and glass elevators The rooms were a little outdated (namely the bathrooms – straight out of 1970 :), but everything worked fine and was clean For us to be there 5 days and not have a single issue! Highly recommend!

Wayne Bryant

Gets busy on the weekends! To get a drink at the bar could take awhile but the vibe is good and live music is fun If it looks full from the front, trying moving to the backthere are usually a few empty tables Lots of people ordered food that looked good and was cheap, will have to try that next time

vincent macy

Older hotel directly on Hollywood Beach boardwalk, with a great tiki bar The musicians were great, the servers were awesome A really fun place to go and stay

Hotel is close to everything, The room was large with a small kitchen, very clean Two small complaints, there was a large light outside the window Also the windows need to be replaced Overall, it’s a great place to stay

Lauren Fassino

You can’t beat the location of this hotel Our room was steps from the beach and we woke up every morning to the most beautiful sunrise right outside our window The front desk attendant, Ali, couldn’t have been more kind and helpful-she was a joy to work with! The tiki bar with live music is fun and convenient for grabbing some drinks and food before enjoying the beach or broadwalk

It was great having a kitchen in the room as well We all loved our stay and can’t wait to come back again!

The bathroom was small, but fine for the 2 of us There was a microwave, fridge, and even real glasses That was nice as most places only had paper cups where we stayed Would have given a 5 star review, but the people next store were partying and very noisy and we could hear everything That said, we could not hear the people on the other side of us at all This is not a luxury hotel, but great for the price and location

Stacey Schaefer

Very friendly and helpful staff She even walked us to our room Was smaller than we are used to getting but Loved the location just steps from the beach

The room was nice clean and comfortable You don’t have A/C control in your room but they had a loaner fan that was all we needed The taco place at the same location was amazing Would stay there again

Amy

Place looks just like the photos I did a late checking around 11:30pm and the guy at the front was so accommodating He even got me a free smart water after finding out the vending machine on the property was not working

I booked a queen size bedroom, the room was spacious enough for one person or two, the bed was extremely comfy and had a microwaveThe only cons are that the bathroom was small the shower only had glass on half of the shower so it’s easy to get water on the floor There was no thermostat to adjust your own temp so at some point of the night I had to call them to turn on my ac a bit I also couldn’t open the windows because room k2 is right by the front door and people can see you as they are walking up to the doorway that opens to the buildingOther than this, I had a great stay 1 minute to the beach/broadwalk Safe for a solo traveler

This is the 3rd time I returned to this hotel For the most part I am pleased to see the overall service standard remain with better staffing arrangement to handle the flux of visiting guests I am also very pleased with the housekeeping staff they were very helpful

The food at the restaurant is very good, and love the breakfast offeringThe only bummer I found was the availability of the bike rental given everyone was charged for the destination fee, there needs to be sufficient inventory

Lynnette Williams

Very nice hotel and stay Clean, fresh, great staff and amenities This hotel was located perfectly at the end of Las Olas Blvd near all the restaurants, bars and shops

Only a 5-7 min drive away from the beach It was so convenient staying here Has a nice bar lounge area and restaurant within the hotel Nice size rooms and balcony rooms has a nice view of area The price staying was definitely worth it for me Definitely will be our go-to stay hotel when visiting out here again Really felt luxurious during my birthday festivities Keep up the great work guys!! You are all appreciated!

The hotel is great They recognize Marriott loyalty, greet you by name, and are very attentive Cabana service was excellent

Rooms are clean Yes this isn’t a brand new hotel but the naysayers exaggerate You will enjoy your time here Spring break action is on the street but the Ritz feels like lightyears away It is calm and quiet in the resort and at the pool I highly recommend

Sadly this hotel did not meet expectations Upon arrival my family and I became aware that we were next to a strip club The lobby was highly scented, which I liked but people with sensitivities surely would not

We came to understand why there was cologne everywhere when we got to the room The first room we were offered had a horrible wet musty smell I refused to stay in there The front desk staff was very nice, helpful and understanding offering us another room That room had a portable dehumidifier in it Clearly this hotel has water damage that is not being fixed I booked through a 3rd party and notified them and the front desk I would not be staying here and was informed by both the third party and the front desk that a refund would be issued when the manager, Juan, was back on property on Monday Juan gave the 3rd party the run around and made it very difficult to connect with him I then called personally No response Finally after much persistence on my end, that I just wanted a refund due to the fact we did not actually stay on the premises, it was resolved But NOT in a professional, timely manner Very disappointed

Jerry McCormack

I wish I could give this zero stars for the property itself and the manager Juan The staff is incredibly friendly so I feel bad for them but this hotel suffers from a moisture issue which is causing mold and mildew, and an unpleasant smell in the lobby and rooms To combat this, management is pumping in large amounts of perfume to mask the odor which initially is quite pleasant but becomes overpowering in a few minutes and caused us headaches

Rooms were full of mold in any crevace areas and had portable dehumidifers which was alarming to say the least Just don’t stay here, it’s in a terrible part of town anyway

mark malanowski

Stayed overnight with my loved one The room was clean but the lights flickered all night The ac was not working well and left the room completely damp feeling

The shower had no inside curtain The elevator felt like it would give out everytime someone came in The sound of it was really bad and loud Woke up to a homicide next door gun shots being heard at 5:30am definitely will not be back

This stay was a very nice one and the hotel is extremely beautiful and well keptThe only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because one day before coming in I called to get help picking a nice room viewing the pool I e-checked into that room and then ONE hour before arriving to the hotel I called to make sure I still had my room and they said I did but then when I arrived the girl at the front desk gave me a completely different room facing a parking lot

She said my room wasn’t clean which confused me because I had called an hour before to ask and I was told I was all good with the original room I selected The girl made no effort to help me until I asked to speak to a manager and THEN she suddenly had a room available for me It still wasn’t fully over looking the pool but it was definitely better and I thank her for helping us get something a little better Other than this the stay was lovelyThere was one employee specifically who made our stay so much better and that was Joseph He helped us with our luggage and was so sweet and genuinely a kind person He would approach us just to chit chat and ask us how our day was He would even recommend places for us to eat without us having to ask Thanks so much Joseph, we really appreciated you!

The hotel was a great value and location, with a nice pool, and beach access that worked great The best thing about the stay was Barbara at the desk She was ON IT! I watched her show true hospitality to not only our family, but several other customers

The hotel is in very good condition, has a reasonable resort fee for all that’s included, and valet parking that’s fair-priced and offers quick service We were thrilled with our stay here

Diane Kramper

We traveled for a business trip From the moment you drive up the valet staff is so welcoming Everyone at the front desk always met us with a smile

The lady at the grocery food kiosk was always friendly & made the best cappuccino in the house The restaurant staff & bar tenders all made you feel very welcome & the food was fabulous Such a great place to stay

We spent 5 nights here and had a blast Beautiful “resort” The staff were friendly and helpful

The room and ocean front view was beautiful The location of “resort” is near other places you can visit for things to do The pool area was nice and the beach was quiet and private I really wish more came with the resort fee especially since it says it’s a resort You will get two complimentary beach chairs, but you will have to pay for the umbrellas or Bali beds I understood the Bali beds, but the umbrellas should be included So glad we used points for our stay or I would have been extremely disappointed in the nightly rate, cost of food and drinks at the on site Restaurants, and extras that you had to leave the resort to do or pay for at the resort It was cheaper for us to Uber to other places to eat and drink as many restaurants had happy hour specials If I have the points, I would stay again I can’t see myself passing the rate and paying for the over priced food, drinks, and lack of activities on site

Beautiful hotel and grounds Well laid out All staff was very friendly

Items at the hotel – drinks, food etc, were very, very pricey Day 2 we went to a local supermarket for some staple items to keep in our room fridge (yogurt, fruit, drinks, chips) to lessen the sting of our stay Bathroom shower could use a shelf of some sort for products as there was only a soap dish in there Would have been nice to have complimentary coffee in lobby in the morning for guests They had a popcorn giveaway staffed table in the lobby in the afternoon which was nice We reserved a room with a pool/ocean view and realized after we checked into our room that the balcony was solid material that made the view available only if you were standing & looking over We asked for a different room and the front desk was very accommodating as some balconies were half solid/half open iron rail – so much better! I would stay there again

C Velasco

Very nice resort with great service Shout out to Gabriella at the elite service desk The private beach is large and the service at the beach was good

Each guest gets a chair which is included in the hotel fees but you have to rent an umbrella for the day I am not a fan of hotel fees for services you don’t use but they all seem to do it The breakfast in Reva was amazing and our server, Angelico was the best He was always smiling and very helpful with the menu This is a great place to stay but pricey

Sonder is onto something unique for sure! The two things about this Sonder location that we wished they had was room service and a TV in the living room as we were in a one bedroom King Suite with Balcony The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and courteous Jill made sure our stay was top notch! We did opt for valet which was a breeze to use, and the entire remote capability was actually enjoyable

I was able to do our laundry the night before we left in our room as well- so that made the return home so much more enjoyable not having to tend to cleaning straight away We would definitely stay at another Sonder!

BEWARE!!!! I don’t know who they paid to make great reviews but this hotel is the worst I’ve ever came in contact with! We booked ahead online and everything was confirmed! I went to the app and posted the ID they asked for The DAY before our reservation, they denied us the room! Flight already paid for and everything I called and asked why

They said we can’t tell you why but we can’t approve the stay!!! No explanation for why they would deny us the day before after we paid for a room! We are BLACK for one, and I can’t think of any other reason why we would be denied I am a current medical student with a PHD post doc We both are not security threats! Yet, they still denied us with no real explanation! Do not book here! This hotel is a disgrace How dare you ask for photos of your guest before accepting or denying their stay? Sounds like complete discrimination ! I hope no one else goes through this so I am warning all to not book here !

Sidney Coury

Stayed in this hotel on my most recent business trip- it was a great experience! Contactless check in and out, easy access to restaurants and bars, a fantastic rooftop bar, pool and view! The room was very clean, big and luxury The only critique is that it did not state whether or not I would have to pay for parking and ended up paying $30+ a day to valet my car Worth it, though!
