Bed very comfortable and bedding soft and luxurious Towels very thick and fluffy! Decor on point! Pet friendly! Delicious food! Will go again! Loved the place! Caroline and Ryan at front desk were awesome! We also got in on the $30 summer special! That was a real treat to customers and I hope you do it again even though the website crashed!!! We will definitely be back! Enjoyed the city Columbia SC!

I stayed a couple days ago with my daughter to do a tour really early and the over night manager was such a big help with directions and how to navigate where I needed to go on campus We really need more people like this she was such a sweetheart I hope this compliment gets to the young lady on overnights

She is a wonderful example for the hotel

Upon arrival on Saturday 7/9 evenjng time I was amazed at the beautiful decor but unsure about the front desk service No one was present at the door and when she did return she didn’t say much during the check in process Maybe she was new or tired, didn’t get her name but I will say the front desk staff on the morning of Sunday 7/10 was very kind and helpful 🙂 We decided to grab a bite at the bar before hitting the road and the food was delicious

The bartender Finley was super sweet and friendly and provided our dog Jackson with a drink of his own while we enjoyed ours ♥️ I also had the chance to meet several housekeeping team members who were working hard at keeping the place spotless and they were also super friendly! Thank you Finley and Sunday morning front desk staff for being so kind We will definitely be back Oh and we loved the room the bed was very comfortable but the pillows could be a little firmer 🥰

I stayed at TownePlace Suites for about two weeks in July because I had a son in ICU at the nearby hospital Every aspect of my stay at the hotel was flawless The staff, especially Shanna at the front desk, were very competent, eager to be helpful and sincerely concerned about my son’s condition

The facility is one of the most welcoming hotel I have been to in regards to the various sitting areas inside and out I particularly liked the community grill area and took full advantage of it on several occasions It felt like a nice gathering area for many of the guests after a long day I would recommend this hotel to anyone The quality of the facility was only surpassed by the friendliness of the staff

Rocksy Rae

Room was great! Very clean! Front desk staff was super nice and helpful! Very spacious! We requested a check-in earlier than the normal 4pm and was able to check-in at 12pm! Very accommodating! Outdoor pool isn’t very big but still great! Highly recommend if you are in the area! I’m giving the actual area 4 stars because it’s not the greatest location but it appears to be developing nicely Bojangles,Freddy’s, Dunkin Donuts and the hotel owned gas station (which is very nice) conveniently share same parking area with hotel so that was a definite plus Overall, we were very happy with our stay! Would definitely stay there again and also will be looking for this hotel in future stays on other vacations!

Vernon Kelly

This property is very clean and fairly new My initial check-in wasn’t very pleasant but the management staff made sure I was taken care of as far as my room and billing arrangements Housekeeping is a little inconsistent but generally they do a good job

This Marriott TownePlace Suites property is light years better than the one in Aiken SC

So I hate to write a bad review but I absolutely wouldn’t go back I was given my room and went up to unload and someone was already in the room I walked into someone else’s room

Shower had hair all over and the shower curtain had mold And I was only there to sleep was gone most of the time But front desk was left unattended and the employees that waited on me were friendly but didn’t seem to know exactly how to help Check out was fine the employee was kind and friendly

Heather Morris

We had a very poor experience here We checked in approximately about 6pm We go to our room to find it hasn’t been touched since the last guest had left

The bed wasn’t made, trash cans full, towels on the corner in the bathroom floor and the fridge was full of leftover alcohol andfood We called the front desk and we were told they would send up housekeeping immediately We asked to be switched to another room and were informed they are completely booked We waited thirty minutes and no one showed up We again called the front desk and they said they would page housekeeping A few minutes later they called to let us know they were switching our room I asked, once we went to the front desk, why did they tell us they were booked if there was a room available The employee explained that a guest decided to leave I don’t buy it, but it was clean and amazingly it was right next to our previous room I understand places are short staffed but just provide me with good customer service and be honestI have pics but they won’t post

Sharon Czeresko

First off, the entire staff was extremely helpful, hardworking and friendly If this review was solely based on staff I’d have no doubt given a 5 star review However, the property itself is in extreme need of some help

Just feels old, tired and begging for a deep Clean Stained carpeting and walls, trash in the halls and poor lighting Very little in the way of supplies (even the snack market was a bit sparse And the elevators (aside from being slow) were loud and scary Overall, the room itself was fairly clean, but still felt dark and tired Stayed here years ago and I guess I’d expected it to have been kept up Definitely convenient location and I felt safe inside and out of the building Just not what I would have expected from a product with the Hyatt name Likely wouldn’t choose this hotel next time I’m sorry, wish I had a better review

We stayed at this hotel as a halfway point between our home and vacation destination It was exactly what I was hoping for A clean, comfortable room that provided a quiet, restful sleep

It was the most quiet hotel stay I’ve had in quite some time!Location felt safe and easily accessible We were able to find dinner nearby and had quick access to the freeway in the morning We utilized the pool, fitness center and hot breakfast All wonderful!

Jen Alegria

Great customer service Seriously! We came from California and stopped at several hotels and this was by far the nicest, cleanest hotel we stayed at all across the entire country! Buffet was awesome! Shoutout to Adam working the reception desk in the morning, the dark haired lady that got us checked in at night (didn’t catch her name) and the lady working the breakfast buffet that clearly took pride in her job and had it dialed in! Great team and highly recommend this place!

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at The Hampton Inn Lexington According to the staff, the hotel is less than 2 years old It is the new style of Hampton Inns and is nicely finished

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and our room was nice and clean We had a handicapped room with roll-in shower; it includes a built-in, fold down seat and two shower heads This was very nice As you will notice from the map, the hotel is just off I-20, not in the middle of Lexington This location is very convenient for getting to Lexington or Columbia We arrived at a downtown church on Bull Street in less than 20 minutes If this location works for you, I highly recommend the Lexington Hampton Inn

We stayed on north side and we heard a few sirens when we first got to our place of the 4th floor We thought we might hear that all night long but we both didn’t hear any street noise all night It’s a give and take being close to freeway

The room is very nice The only area I dropped a star was the bathroom I don’t know why the builders didn’t put fans in bathrooms Without fans, you end up with more wear in the bathroom Compared to other hotels on our cross country trip, this was one of the better bathroomsFood/breakfast was great Bacon crispy, nothing was empty at 9am And they had someone servicing the area as neededThe stairwell didn’t have a/c, but was clean Shows the that hidden areas are getting cleaned Someone here is managing very well this hotel Thanks! We’d stay here again

Nicole O

Overall, this is a very nice hotel, but it could be better Just left Saturday morning The breakfast is excellent

The pool should be cleaned by staff more often We went in it a couple of times and we had stranger’s hair wrap around our arms and legs (gross) and there were bird feathers and bugs in the water The only other thing I had an issue with is housekeeping We were told housekeeping does not clean the room until the third day of your stay, and you had to request it They should come every day unless you have the do not disturb sign on the door Or at least every other I’ve never stayed anywhere where I had to wait until 3 days into my stay and then call and request housekeeping Location is very convenient and the bed was very comfortable

DAVIS ELITE ATHLETES

We stayed at the Wyndham location and the stay itself was good 2 issues 1 was handled the other was a pure lie1

Sheets had a NASTY stain on it (Manager on staff was awesome and helped us)2 We were literally In the pool and were told they needed to add chlorine and we could go back within a few minutes 2 days laterpool was not open The pool was the main reason we choose this hotel because of the 114 degree weatherIt’s unfortunate but the rate wasn’t adjusted Such is life

Everything was great but I am mainly writing this review for Shay, the very helpful and friendly lady at the front desk She has been absolutely wonderful Efficient, kind, and diplomatic

In my two day stay at the hotel, I could definitely tell she works hard and aims to please Customer service skills at its best I travel quite a bit and I rarely write reviews but this one was certainly warranted

Mindy Stephenson

We were recently guests and 5 stars isn’t enough

We arrived well after 10pm after driving all the way from Columbus Ohio and not stopping and the front desk made sure we had something to eat when we got there and the staff here is OUTSTANDING! They were so kind and offered the best service I’ve ever had from a hotel Room was fabulous and I can’t stay enough about this place!! Worth the money Every penny! They even let us park the 26 ft U haul right in front of the hotel because I was worried someone breaking in the truck Hope to be able to stay here again!

Valerie Lloyd Golson

I surprised my husband for his birthday with an overnight stay at “The Trundle Hotel” and it was exceptional in every way Upon entering the Hotel you are greeted by “Shay” not a ray of sunshine; but the sun itself! What ever other assistance is needed; your friendly all a round “Mr Fix it” John, is there to help you too

These two young people are truly “assets” to the establishment We also had the pleasure of meeting the Owners and found them to treat every guest with respect and wanting to make sure your stay is everything you want it to be Don’t be fooled by the exterior, the enterior decor is so warm and inviting No two rooms are alike Please come inyou will not be disappointed! We cannot wait to make our next reservation

Law Abiding

I thought it was a new hotel but once I started examining closely, I could see it it’s beginning to show some age It wasn’t horrible by any meansThe bed was too soft for my back and the sheets and pillows were average at best

Lots of parking, small pool and no breakfastOverall I’d do it again for a short stay

Sue Knapp

Convenient, yes We stayed here 1 night Memorial Day weekend Did not receive a request to submit a review so posting here

Can not recommend this place Tiny, tiny fridge in room The Starbucks everyone raves about was NOT open the night and morning we were there They aren’t kidding about nothing being in the area, so this was huge For the price we paid ($200 for 1 night), free coffee, tea and ice water in the lobby seems the least they could have done

Pat P

DO NOT take room 424

something on the roof above sounds like a nuclear plant stops and startsvery loud There is no parking in front of hotel so it’s a walk to your car (you can go through pool area in back but you have two security doors to mess with Shower design A+ water pressure F-(slightly better than a drip) Two small glasses of Prosecco $2400 without waiter Good location for expressway

I loved the location, it was close to anything you’d want or need as far as dining and shopping The lobby and public areas seems to be renovated which is great I knew the hotel was older by the one functioning elevator

We had a two queen beds room It was spacious! The carpet and the bathroom were super dated Overall, nice experience 👌🏾

joey desilets

The location was conveniently located next to some nice restaurants and stores The staff was very nice The food was excellent

The mini store in lobby was way over priced The hallways were hot and have this mildew smell The room itself was decent The whirlpool tub was nice being a tall guy it’s not easy to find a tub to take a bath in The shower could use some help water temp is awesome but that shower head sucks no pressure and it sprayed everywhere except down The bathroom gets hot very quick with door shut due to no working vents Toilet had some flushing issues Electronic door lock stopped working properly The room had some nasty stain brown stain on the floor that was sticky to touch after stepping on it Pillows were very nice Bed was horrible felt every spring in the mattress my wife having back problems this bed definitely didn’t help Woke up so sore and unrested Found cigar clippings all over the floor next to the bed

G Marie

Bad experience from the beginning Drove 3 hours to stay one night, as my son has a tournament for Taekwondo, and we couldn’t even park b/c there was an event at the hotel leaving NO parking for guests The receptionist ignored me for at least 2 minutes after I arrived at the desk

There were NO other guests at the desk, and she appeared to be on her phone She knew there was no parking, but was basically like “I have no solution for you” Rooms smaller than expected, stains all over the floor, and the bed’s sheet have holes All the money we pay, they should be able to afford new sheets! I should have brought my own sheets! Probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again Too expensive for poor service, no parking, and dingy room Disappointed!

Our family attended a wedding weekend in Columbia and we booked 3 rooms at the Chestnut Cottage Bed & Breakfast From the moment we stepped into the parlor of this historical home we met the owner Mary Sparrow and was immediately delighted we had selected this remarkable B&B The house is loaded with history, beautifully appointed furnishings & the best of charm! The guest rooms were large, beautifully decorated with small touches like flowers in our room, bottles of water, chocolates, etc

but my favorite touch was the delicious breakfasts served every morning gathered together in the dining room Another favorite was the front porch swing and the rocking chairs As you know, a swing soothes the soul and the porch was magical at night! If your plans take you to Columbia, just call Mary she can tell you everything about the history, sites and dining in the area – she is an encyclopedia of knowledge My family can’t wait to visit Columbia and enjoy the pleasure of what the Chestnut Cottage B&B adds to ones life – Culture, Comfort & true Southern Hospitality!

Morgan Perdue

The most beautiful place we could have stayed on our overnight trip to Columbia Mary was so accommodating and made our stay here wonderful! The property is so rich in history and adorned with beautiful antiques Our room was clean, spacious, and even stocked with complimentary waters! Patticake, the resident cat made our night in the cottage even better! I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone passing through or planning a stay in Columbia

It is also within a block from the Township Auditorium, making our trip to the concert we were attending a breeze Thank you for the lovely time, Mary We will definitely be staying here again

casey roux

Had a great stay! We stayed in the Garden Suite room and it was a perfect space for us for one night! Mary had the room ready to go for us right when we got there After we left, I had forgotten my glasses and called Mary and she was super helpful and found them for me and sent them in the mail She was so sweet and awesome! Would definitely recommend!

My favorite Hilton Hotel as a business traveler This hotel is older but has been well cared for and updated The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and nice furniture

The staff is always very accommodating and the parking is the best for a downtown urban hotel as it’s a secure garage attached to the lobby so if it’s raining you won’t get wetIt’s less then a 5 minute walk from parking garage to your roomRuth Chris is lobby is good and hotel is less then one block from many other restaurants

Gloria Gaillard

Our stay was enjoyable! The room was clean, and the staff was polite and friendly Dinner at the restaurant downstairs (Ruth Chris) was great The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating was because the mattress slips on the beds wooden platform and the pillows could be more comfortable

Otherwise a great hotel, very clean, very nice!

Alan G

I said Hilton hotels All the time but usually lower end ones like Hampton inn when I’m traveling or going to see friends This Hilton Columbia center was fantastic Very clean very nice rooms and great amenities

But most importantly the front desk the people there were great the service was so good The person who helped check me in the first day saw me on the third day when I was leaving and remembered me and mentioned that I was able to get free breakfast since I was a diamond member Just the fact that she remembered me I thought was very surprising That’s what I call great service

I always like coming to stay here, the staff helpful and greet you with a smile The rooms are clean and comfortable The hotel bar has great selections, I miss social night and hope that will return

The pool is awesome wish they had a indoor pool as well William was very helpful and didn’t complain no matter how many times we needed him

Beatrice Hatcher

Room was not as expected and you had to pay for breakfast The lobby area is beautiful, but for the rest of the hotel, it could be a lot better considering how much you pay to stay there It was something that could have been cleaned, like the dresser, other than that it was okay

For me it’s minor things that the facility needs to address and they would be okay

John Washington

The room was very large with a living area and nice bedroom Some of the lighting in the living area and bathroom did not workThe remote control in the living area was missing a battery and did not work

They do have an on-site laundry, which is free, but you will have to purchase detergent and dryer sheets at the front desk

The hotel is being remodeled and we were able to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms It was nice however there was construction debris all over We found washers, nails and drywall dusting throughout the room

When we got there it didn’t have a fridge, we asked for one and recieved it right away The front desk staff was friendly and helpful They told us our room had been released just a day before we stayed The hotel is great, I would just say make sure the rooms are gone through and cleaned from construction before allowing people to stay in them There was also no ice machine or vending machine on our floor The location is great we walked outside om Saturday and were pleasantly surprised the have a huge farmers market right outside Overall I would recommend and stay again

The noise level in this hotel is why I am giving it a 3 star review Between the train, the road traffic, the building construction and the fact that the walls are seriously paper thin it is one of the noisiest hotels I have stayed in The hotel knows this and provides some of the rooms with noise machines

Bring ear plugs and run the fan on the air condition and that will helpThe staff here are so incredibly friendly Love that they serve warm cookies too Every staff member would talk to you! They all made you feel so welcome! Location is great and that’s why I stay here I ask for a room that faces away from the train and stay higher up!Pool is nice and I love the adjacent lounge area with the fireplace

Great stay at this Residence Inn! Dorian was so helpful and accommodating His level of customer service is way above the norm I actually called before booking and he was the reason I booked this hotel

The hotel was nice The AC worked extremely well on a very hot day Comfortable bed, quiet room and good breakfast This hotel checked all the boxes for a good nights rest

The staff was friendly but I would not stay here again The rooms need to be upgraded and deep cleaned The chairs were frayed and stained while the cracks of the bathroom have seen better days

The room smelled stale so we had to keep the window open to get some fresh air The hot food was good but the fruit and juice were not good There is not enough parking at the front of the building

I travel often, and I guess I’ve gotten used to being in less-than-nice hotels I read the reviews and decided to stay here for a night last week while I was passing through I was so impressed that I felt like I had to write a review

Check-in was smooth, quick and Camaro at the front desk was so pleasant They even checked on me after I got up to my room to make sure everything was satisfactory The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious I stopped down for a quick breakfast on my way out the next morning and even the staff working there were incredibly friendly The breakfast was great with lots of choices, delicious hot coffee, fresh fruit and a wall unit to fill my water bottle before getting back on the road Needless to say, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again They’re doing everything right Excellent experience

The location of hotel is excellent for traveling with a dog The hotel itself is bright, clean, tastefully decorated and staff is friendly I have a 70 lb dog and she likes to walk a lot

There is a nice amount of grass area for walking the dog around the hotel But the best Bonus is a lake sits behind the hotel for the community of Harbison This lake has walking path around it as well as paths into the neighborhood so one could walk a few miles on safe paths Awesome!

Bed great Front desk person great at check in Would be a 5 star but there were issues

The shower curtain had black hairs all over it The bath sink was incredibly slow to drain The coffee station had no creamer or stirrers I believe one packet was already opened The TV had a black spot on it Damaged probably by someone cleaning it incorrectly Really irritating No Do not Disturb hanging thing for room Lastly, the room would vibrate occasionally Sure it was a AC/ heat unit somewhere out of whack The room was nice and somewhat clean Just several maintenance items needed attention Room 313 I should have known

This hotel was simply amazing The decor of the lobby was so fun and inviting There is a pool table and other games that can be used for entertainment by guest, which I loved

The room was simple yet had everything we needed The beds were comfortable and made for a good night’s sleep The shower was a bit slippery, but the big size of it was great!! I was absolutely in love with the soap and lotion dispensers that they had on the walls near the sink, and the body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower So cute and worked so well with the minimalist decor they had created The continental breakfast in the morning was good as well They had a fancy self serve pancake machine that made pancakes with the swipe on your hand!! And the pancakes were delicious!!! They also had the usual eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and other choices availableMy family and I have already decided anytime we travel and there is a Tru by Hilton hotel available, we are there!! A very good stay indeed!

Stayed 1 night for a quick trip, room was great, very clean The pillows were super soft and kinda hard to sleep with (i prefer a firmer pillow, my problem not theirs) The standing shower was great, but the seal was not water tight because the floor got pretty wet

Breakfast was as expected for a free breakfast Had my 3 year old with me and he loved it Would definitely stay again

I usually enjoy staying at Tru by Hilton because of the quality at a reasonable price However, this stay had me questioning the cleanliness and sanitation of my room Upon arriving to my room, I noticed a weird smell in the room like a stale cologne

This wasn’t really a big deal so I sprayed some of the Lysol I brought with me and this freshened the room’s smell A little while later, I dropped something on the floor and noticed there was trash under the bed–like someone opened a bag of candy and didn’t put it in the trash I still didn’t think much about it because that might be easy to overlook Everything else seemed to be okay However, when I went to take my shower the next morning, I found a dirty wash cloth hanging on the hooks beside the shower I didn’t see it the night before because I hadn’t shut the door This made me cringe at the thought that perhaps the room had just been straightened and not actually cleaned and sanitized I was very disappointed in my stay
