The valet employees are very accommodating and friendly The property is clean and the restaurant on site has good food The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable

The property has every amenity you would expect The rooftop pool is nice and spacious There’s a nice grand piano on the second floor for guests to play which is nice but only two chairs by it if people want to sit and enjoy the musicThat being said the rooms are EXTREMELY dated The wallpaper was peeling off the wall, the bathroom door was peeling apart and random mechanical parts were falling off the wall/ceiling The shower is something out of the 70s I venture to not even call it “lighting” in the room but rather simply a lamp You basically get dressed in the dark 24/7 The staff aren’t exactly nice — nor rude Common seating is absent There’s about 4 chairs in the lobby which are always taken and there’s a large space by the restaurant but no common chairs outsideOverall the location is convenient and I would stay at the hotel again — just don’t show up with ‘Marriott’ expectations and you’ll enjoy it

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itNight Auditor, Nancy, provided the most pleasant and accommodating check-in experience for myself and guest! Our party enjoyed their stay here The only downside was with dinner, waitress was aware of our tabs and it still took a while to pay after we were through We did appreciate the accommodation for a large party and our time was enjoyable Thank you again, Nancy! I would most definitely have my guest stay here again!

The location is good but there’s quite a lot of homeless people around There’s a restaurant inside the hotel if you don’t want to go out ! Lobby is nice and clean!The hotel is clean but could use a renovation They only provided one towel for each person so I had to ask for more for the following day

They only provided one tiny bottle of body wash (125 fl oz) for me and my husband I think they should check how many people stay in the room and for how many days There’s no power outlet to charge your cellphone next to the bed TV is placed on the side of the bed rather than at the end of the bed

Aloft is truly a pleasure to stay! The staff is extremely polite (Mike) was so helpful when I wasn’t feeling well and made sure I had everything I needed one night, truly went above and beyond The decor gives you that modern upscale feel, room was very spacious and extremely clean But the best part is the amazing bar/lounge with the sweetest bartender (Cam) who can whip up the best cocktails and shots, not to mention her infamous honey pepperoni pizza! clean, beds are comfortable, wanted to take the pillows home, nice gift shop, the Market store was convenient to grab a snack/drink We had a room with a great view of the river and bridges (so pretty at night!), and the rooftop pool was nice Only negatives were, I was surprised that we could hear other toilets flushing and showers running and the “complimentary” bottles of water in the room were only for “members” and otherwise $4 I figure for what the cost of an overnight stay costs, a bottle of water could be included no matter if you are a member or notAll in all, nice stay!

One night stay, but arrival to departure we were wowed Easy to park and great signage, lovely front desk staff, so kind and welcoming, beautiful lobby/ atrium area and we had a clean, comfortable room with an incredible view of the city and the river! Amazing Our room had a wonderful view Sidewalks everywhere quiet and secure to do long walks around the Jacksonville River I found a very good restaurant outside from the hotel that made my favorites dinner in townThe hotel have a Market place store right on front of the elevators I did not like the quality of sandwiches available in the market store but they had other items “on the go” options I love the berries parfait and lattes, just convenient for a quick bite I love the pool ambience and the gym in the same floor turning to be a perfect convenience I LOVE the hotel and I miss very much the 3 days stay was more than enough to wish to go back asap in the near future 💛🌹

All the staff was great, but everyone that worked front desk Friday thru Monday Grand Session days were AWESOME! My car messed up soon as I got there and the staff was very understanding and caring The front desk staff really made the stay a good one The room was very nice and the A/C and Heat worked great, so did my refrigerator some people didn’t realize they had one because its kind of hide in the desk

I cant think of nothing bad to say, even me adding a extra day wasn’t a problem I was without a car but didn’t realize how many restaurants were so close by, until I left Will stay again!

The room was clean and nice The only issue I have was the fridge wasn’t plugged up and I left my food in thinking it was on so I was sick The other issue with the fridge is that it’s on a timer One button will keep food cold for two hours The second button will keep food cold for 8 hrs It auto shut off after these times Other than this issue, the hotel is nice and in a good area for restaurants

The hotel is beautiful! The service was good When you walk in the first thing I noticed was that the hotel pic online was a true representation of the hotel Anyways, the room was beautifully kept with an exception of the bathroom shower

The walls and floor in the shower were supposed to be white but there was mildew all over the grout on some of the walls and on the floor I always wear shower shoes when I take a shower anyplace that is not home I am glad that is my habit because I would’ve requested a room with cleaner showers, or a refund and went somewhere else You would think that such a prestigious place would pay a little more to ensure the showers were cleaned better Any shower mildew remover would’ve worked Everything else was on point Changed it to 4 star because it was a very nice hotel with a great ambiance with an exception of what I stated

This is a brand new hotel, with a very friendly staff and excellent hotel manager, Mac Jerry He and the staff truly go out of their way to make hotel patrons very content The premises are spotless and they have an excellent cleaning service

It is quiet, they offer an outdoor pool and a very nice indoor gym Everything is convenient There is a complimentary breakfast each AM with a very nice auto-pancake making machine that requires one to simply press a button They make computers available in the lobby and have a nice amount of public seating and convenient and free parking They take pandemic precautions and it is easy to obtain additional trash liners and towels with no problems whatsoever The room is truly beautiful and the restroom and stall shower are also gorgeous and all bar soaps were replaced recently with even more convenient and nice liquid soaps and conditioners in machines both at the sink and shower The rooms have a lovely divider that separates the entrance from the room for further privacy, new carpeting and the rooms with two queen beds have a beautiful bench for sitting right next to the outdoor window with plenty of light, convenient for viewing television There is also a very adequate work desk and office chair, and a flat hard wood beautifully colored bench for luggage There is a large closet, a microwave and even a safe with codes for guest use that can be changed Mr Jerry does his very best to ensure the staff is uniformly pleasant and professional I am pleased to recommend the hotel and its convenient to the St Johns Shopping Town Center and also to many medical facilities of which the latter was the reason for my stay They also offer luggage racks by the door for guests who don’t wish to carry a larger number of suitcases to their rooms I have been to this hotel 4-5 times and had a very nice experience during each visit, consistent and pleasant I do wish they offered omelettes each AM at breakfast, and all day long hot water and coffee/tea, but its the ONLY point I can make that I would love if they modified, and I include this so the reader will understand this is a very genuine review at every level I recommend the hotel with the strongest of confidence

The town center area itself has so much to offer There is entertainment, night life and restaurant for all tastes You don’t even need a car, you can just stroll out of the hotel and it is all there I was also impressed with the cleanliness at the hotel Spic n Span I wish there were more than 5 stars to offer

My wife and I have been staying here for years This place feels like home away from home I am a cancer transplant patient who requires a lot of care with constant trips to Mayo Clinic

The staff are so welcoming and amazing They truly go above and beyond from the front of the hotel, to the kitchen, to the cleaning staff, and management in all aspects they really show they care The hotel is really clean and it is very obvious they care about keeping it that way I have to be so very careful as a transplant patient and I can tell you I feel very safe at this hotel Not to mention that every room here is oceanfront view with balcony It is such a blessing to be able to have this soothing healing view with the pain I feel through treatments sometimes Our family thanks everyone of them and are very grateful for the last couple of years and years to come as I fight through this cancer Thank you for allowing our family to feel like home away from home 🙂

Considering this hotel has beachfront views, the prices are fantastic For some FL beach perspective, I recently paid in the $500/night range on Daytona Beach, and in the $900/night range Miami BeachThe hotel offers good amenities – a gym, business center, heated pool and hot tub

Staff were very nice, and the room was cleanThere were only 3 drawbacks Firstly, parking is tight – especially if you have a larger vehicle It seems there are not enough spaces in the lot for a full hotel Secondly, our TV had constant issues, and wouldn’t work properly Unfortunate, but not detrimental Thirdly, there was an incident – probably just an honest mistake, but it was an incident nonetheless At 9:25am on the morning of checkout, I was abruptly awoken by the house keepers coming into my room – even though checkout isn’t until 11, and there was “Do Not Disturb” sign on the doorEven so, I would consider staying at this hotel again

Well, you have to go to check-in desk which is not even on the pool level, so when you get out of the pool you cannot get towels unless you ride the elevator up a floor to the lobby, and while others are checking in, ask the staff for towels That’s just weirdNo microwaves in the rooms An oceanfront room, priced like this, and no microwave?No room service and the restaurant is extremely slow and the food is mediocre at bestI get it It’s a gimmicky resort-style hotel that wants to push you into all it’s amenities for extra revenue, but it’s a hassle and makes the experience less-than-comfortableCool location, but not convenient enough to come back I’d rather opt for the Hampton Inn beachfront and have an expected hotel experience

We had a wonderful stay beginning of April The weather was beautiful (a little windy) The room was very clean and comfortable The food was amazing and drinks as well

Every employee we came in contact with were super friendly!! I read some reviews saying the pool had no sun by noon We did not have that issue, the side of the pool by the hotel had no sun around 1:30 but there was plenty of sun on the other side Pool was never to full to not find a chair We were able to walk to many bars/restaurants and shops If I had anything to say that may be negative was there is only 1 hook for wet clothes and towels and there was no microwave in the room (there was a fridge) so we had to throw out any left over food that we purchased but Definitely not a big deal

The only reason I’m giving any stars, is because my room was absolutely beautiful and clean The view was breathtaking First of all, my room was an hour late, and I was there on business, so I lost an hour of work

We went for dinner on the second floor balcony, and I eventually got very chili, so we went to the first available table inside Jacob came to ask if I was lost, and I noticed the hostess staring over my way Jacob expressed that I was sitting in his station I apologized and explained that it was very cold out and the bar was full He then went to go get my food that I had already ordered, and brought no utensils or napkins I had to eat with my hands He didn’t even check to see if my partner or I needed anything For the amount of money we paid for our overnight visit, customer care could have been so much better For this, I probably will not come back

I have to say I was very disappointed during my stay considering the condition of the hotel I understand that things happen beyond the hotel’s control, but guest should be notified at time of booking that the place is under some kind of construction and services which we come to depend on (Ie

breakfast) are not available I understand they were sending guests next door, but we both know the breakfast there is nothing compared to what is offered at HGIThe missing ceilings near the elevator, wires hanging out that wall, the stained flooring throughout the hotel, and not having bath rags in my room was just to name a few things I was shocked to discover As a Diamond Member, I choose this brand of hotels because of the comfort in knowing that I am going to get a level of service that I have come to love and appreciate You can’t charge rates based on what the hotel once was, but need to reflect what current conditions are Sadly, this was a step up from a Motel 6 and I don’t say that lightly I was here attending a family emergency and recommended this hotel to all my family who also stayed here, and frankly I was embarrassedThe highlight of the stay was the wonderful staff at the front desk Despite working in conditions like this, they were very upbeat and charismatic That is the one thing that I can say has stayed true to what has always been when I come here I have to say, this will probably be the last stay at this location

We recently stayed at Club Continental while visiting for business We were pleasantly surprised by our entire experience It had an old Florida feel

Our room was unique in theme, very roomy, adequately updated and had an amazing view of tht St John’s River Breakfast is served from 8-9 with a limited menu Tuesday night is Italian Night and the food was delicious!There is no room service but there is cleaning service If you are a high touch individual that enjoys room service this is not the place for you We on the other hand love the quietness and low touch homey feel We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed for four days at this wonderful hotel and wish we could have stayed longer Everything about the hotel was excellent from the staff to the room, the pool, the location and of course the beach And the affordability

For an upgrade to an oceanfront room ( which is so worth it) it’s still so much less than what we’d expect for what is included and available The room was clean and the beds extremely comfortable Perhaps what I appreciated most about this hotel was the customer service Every single person working there would greet you with a hello or a “hope you are enjoying your stay “ and front desk always seemed to remember who you were We had a problem with our room which the hotel dealt with and compensated us for the inconvenience There are too many positives of this hotel but needless to say, we would most certainly highly recommend it to others Perhaps the only suggestion I would make would be to carefully label all food items in the breakfast buffet On one morning I suspected that the scrambled eggs had cheese in them due to their lovely creamy texture but the label did not indicate so Since I cannot eat dairy for medical reasons I asked the wonderfully kind chef/manager of the buffet and discovered that they did have dairy but he was so accommodating and prepared some regular scrambled eggs for me Thank you Hampton Inn and we hope to see you again!

My wife and I stayed here last week and it was an outstanding experience Quick check in, clean room with an amazing ocean front view and very friendly, helpful staff that will go out of their way to assist making your experience thoroughly enjoyable It’s steps to the beach and that’s why we chose it

The pool was huge and clean with lots of recliners available to just lie out in the sun, relax and have a cold one The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful, with good variety The restaurant and bar was great too and even had evening live entertainment! Complimentary coffee was always available We travel the Caribbean frequently and this hotel had the vibe of an all inclusive resort A great place to stay in JAX Beach!

Oceanfront view was spectacular -beautiful to watch the sunrise The room had a standard microwave and small refrigerator The bathroom could use some improvements – the shower head was not completely affixed to the wall, the tub needed resurfacing and the faucet dripped

The front desk staff members were cordial, not overly friendly but professional The kitchen staff and housekeeping teams were very nice, helpful and pleasant to engage with The pool area is clean The parking lot was full during my visit luckily there was an extended parking area across the street The outside tiki bar area was a nice space to grab a bite or a refreshment for the beach The beach of course was amazing!

This is our second time staying at this particular location Honestly we love everything about the location except for the evening receptionist On both occasions she has been very rude while interacting with my husband & I

On both stays it has been us and our two children On our first stay our room was not ready on time and we didn’t make a big deal of it Once we were finally checked in we realized we only had two towels and two wash cloths I came down to the front desk and requested more Her response was that we had just checked in and why did we need extra towels already I then explained to her that it was four of us and only two sets of towels were left in the room and that we don’t share Her and my husband exchanged some words and her response was to contact the manager We didn’t complain but still felt that her tone and reaction wasn’t appropriate On our next stay I came down for a drink with my daughter We set ourselves thinking someone would come over After 10 minutes I walked to the front desk asking how do we order In a very rude tone she pointed and said you order through her! My response was “ so no one comes to us, we go to them” and her response was yes So we went along with it Well shortly after another couple came down and ordered and someone went to where they were sitting to take their requestIn my opinion the receptionist is very rude and will detour guest from wanting to book future staysWe love the hotel and location but the small interactions we have had with her will make us book else where

This was a nice stay! I can usually have a complaint or two about a hotel but this place did a good job The staff was very nice and courteous Our room was nice and clean

The TV was huge The shower and tile were clean and had no mold We ordered breakfast in the dining area before leaving The food was made to order and tasted great My omelet, bacon and home fries were perfect The location is great and close to many places to eat We will look at staying here again on the next visit

I have been staying here for a long time If you stay for a few days you definitely won’t be let downWe stayed one night at the hotel We have stayed in many hotels much more expensive and not had as pleasant an experience and great nights sleep We recently bought a very expensive mattress and their mattress was even more comfortable The room was very clean, Newly renovated, and the hotel is very quiet The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful We requested a microwave it was delivered within five minutes I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel The breakfast was not included but they had a very extensive continental breakfast for seven dollars or a full breakfast buffet for $15 for adults It is pet friendly but you would never know it by any odors or noise

I needed a place to stay because I had to wait 2 weeks for my apartment to be ready but that was also close to work and I must say, the experience was absolutely wonderful The rooms were clean, the staff was very kind, helpful and accommodating The breakfast and food in general is also quite exceptional, I enjoyed the low key ambiance and drinks and I couldn’t have asked for a better transitional place to stay than here
