Great location and great service from desk and shuttle drivers Only complaint is that our king bed’s mattress was well worn — had a telltale hump in the middle while the sides were worn inOh, and if they still want you to order breakfast and have it delivered to your room, be prepared to receive some random stuff

We laughed that off and didn’t mindBut, if your schedule was as ridiculous as ours, this is a great, accommodating place to stay

I recently had a working trip to Juneau and while browsing for a decent hotel near the airport with positive reviews, I decided to roll the dice with Best Western As I had to work one night, the room I got was adequate for my need which was a place to wash and rest before and after work The room was clean and the staff was helpful and even left breakfast for me even if I came home from work a bit later

Just an FYI if you opt for breakfast, the only option is for it to be delivered by your door

Clean, cozy room Conveniently located near airport Wifi worked consistently

Direct TV available Good coffee in roomBathroom is a little too small, but it was very clean Parking is tricky due to the narrow driveway, but it is nice to park next to the roomI would stay here again

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at Maid never comes in and when she does they literally come in and walk out She didn’t even take out my trash and there is food splattered on the walls

The bathroom floor is disgusting and never has been mopped The employees are beyond rude and don’t know anything The restaurant is closed and the maid never brings toilet paper I have to go down to front desk and they only give me one roll I have to ask for two and the employees sigh This place is nasty and it should be shut down I’m disputing my 2 week vacation here and getting all my money back I took many pictures of the nasty dusty old place and I’ll be sending that all to my credit card company Horrible horrible horrible Don’t ever stay here it’s on its last leg anyways! Oh yea the maid never leaves fresh towels so I have to beg the front desk to walk their lazy selves over to the laundry room to grab some He reluctantly gave me some fresh towels after I had to express to him how unhappy I was with the service This lady had to dump her own trash in the closed dumpsters and she said her sheets have not been changed in a month! How disgusting I spent so much money here just to be talked down to and treated like I don’t belong Whoever runs this place is a joke Worst hotel ever

My credit card got charged 3 separate times for my 2 night stay The 3rd time was upon check in and after verbally confirming it was prepaid Of course they reversed the charge but it won’t post back to my card for several days, long after I’ve checked out

They did absolutely nothing about it claiming my banks process is the problem as they are holding back the funds No culpability as to them taking it, again, in the first place Super inconvenient and the place is so on guard vs the homeless that it lacks many friendly amenities Should have just stayed at Greens Creek camp I’ll not be staying here again

Debbie Barnes

We had a suite, which was very unexpected and wonderful I was thinking a room with a couch, well we had a room with a bed, another room with a couch, coffee table, dresser, desk small eating table with chairs and a stocked kitchen(utensils and such) plus a twin bed loft and of course, the bathroom Super nice

They have shuttle service, (call ahead)and the staff were pleasant 😀 thank you See ya next time

This was a really nice place to stay It’s about an easy mile walk from the bustle of downtown The hotel is near the whale sculpture which is a marvel to look at

The rooms are cozy, and outfitted with everything one would need The front desk staff are friendly and helpful they treat you like you’re family I’ll stay there again, for sure, if or when I ever get back to Juneau

Caitlin Seals Schwanke

We were in town super early, way before check-in, and just asked how soon our room might be available in case we might be able to drop things off and shower They were full, but the young lady at the front desk helpfully checked and told us the current occupants of our room were scheduled on a shuttle and offered to call us when the room was ready This was above and beyond service and we really appreciated it!The room was neat and clean and had great amenities

It’s not “fancy,” but everything was very nice and I can’t think of anything to complain about! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others!

Eric “Castronaut”

The location is incredible right on the water andimmediately proximate to a really pretty board walk I loved how the staff left a bouquet of flowers for my stay on the kitchen counter I appreciated the FULL kitchen with oven, stove, full size fridge, all necessary pots, pans and plate wear

I also really enjoyed the quality workstation I was able to remote out of in my room, and the quality WiFi access I was surprised how little the sounds transmitted through the walls, windows, and doors Room 1428 and 1430 are ideal with direct views of the harbor and mountains

My partner loves this placeits his last day at this campground so not long ago he decides to do his laundry, put his towel on the hooks so he can shower while he waits for his laundryAnd some Nerve of a camper comes into his shower with his towel hanging on the hooks and showers in there for over an HOUR!we have no idea who you are and the Audacity to use my partners towel on the ground to wipe the dirty floors is absolutely disgusting!there are 3 empty showers for starters

there is a sign that says to use this white towel to wipe the floorsmy partner towel is GREEN!so there for we are not happy at allAnd we took a photo as proof!so thanks

Nancy and Angie are very friendly and helpful all along making our stay smooth and nice, going well beyond what’s ‘standard’ or ‘expected’ We had good time because of them (thank you both!) The campsite itself is also very nice – it has really clean showers, coffee/tea, and nice location surrounded by the forest

Location is also quite convenient – half way between the airport and the ferry terminal, next to a bus stop and a 30 minute walk from West Glacier Trailhead

Michael Miller

My rating would be 5 for short-term guests and 3 for long-term guests The campground is in a great location near the glacier and not far from the ferry terminal About 20-25 minutes to downtown

Friendly staff Well-kept grounds Utilities work great Several nice areas to just hang outThe reason I give 3 for long-term guests mostly revolves around their punitive fine for owning a washing machine I was fined $40 per month just for owning a washing machine As a single RVer, I use half of the water that a couple would use Even adding in the 35 or so gallons to do laundry once a week, I would still use significantly LESS than a couple without a washing machine Yet I had to pay significantly more My pleas for logic fell on deaf earsThere are also a few annoyances for long-term guests The park refuses to allow mail to be forwarded to the park They expect guests to mow weeds They also send out nastygrams if you exceed the 5mph speed limit by oneBut again, short-term guests should enjoy their stay

It’s adequate The price is for the location of being right downtown Understaffed so no housekeeping unless you request it the night before

No AC in rooms which probably isn’t a problem usually but we were there for 5 70+ degree days in a row, so the room was 80+ degrees at times and we had to run a fan in front of the open window all night And without curtains closed all the way, it never gets dark this time of yearStaff in lobby were friendly

MK Alaska R

I work for the state of Alaska We have been using this hotel for years and it has never been $322/night That is a ridiculous markup that is based on another downtown hotel closing

The hotel is old and they have done little to improve or update it It’s an OLD hotel I’m particularly irritated that this hotel is charging that much They are well aware they are charging way over normal costs for Juneau Badly done 4 points!

Great location and terrific price in the heart of the Juneau Historic District It is exactly what it looks like it’s going to be and if you are expecting something different, go somewhere else It’s basic and that’s just fine

The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot No complaints here The bar is fantastic with live music many nights This place is Juneau, Alaska! I will be back!!

The hotel is beautiful And if your going for the creepy feel , you will get it I booked a room for the weekend for my 18 year wedding anniversary

And it is ONLY FRIDAY and I am sleeping on a couch in the community center where my daughter works! Here is why… The rooms have zero airflow I brought my 1 year old grandson for an hour and had to send him home because it was so hot he could only have a diaper on We opened the window, and there was a portable heater that said it had a cooling setting that did not work And there is NO ONE THERE TO HELP No fans, just heat!!! Also, looks like they were spraying for bedbugs I didn’t even check out yet Because there is no one to help you I said screw it, I just had to get out of there My husband just had a heat attack and there was no way he could sleep in those conditions We even went to the store to buy a fan but they were sold out I am so disappointed ☹️ We we’re really looking forward to staying here And we will probably check out tomorrow, loose our money and be back on the couch in the community center

Abigail Bruce

This hotel/bar has lots of character, and the distinction of being the oldest hotel and bar in Alaska The guy who checked me in was also very friendlyAll that being said, the low score is because I got hardly any sleep due to the music from the bar downstairs, underneath the rooms, playing loudly until they closed, which was 3 a

m on Sunday morningCool atmosphere, and if I wanted to party before crashing, this would have been the place However, I was more interested in sleep before my earlier flight the following morning None to be hadOh well Good character and history, bad sleepability

The Silverbow was such a fun place to stay in Juneau! The staff was all so friendly and helpful – we saw Charlie every day we were there and she was always happy to see us and to answer questionsI loved the self serve breakfast and coffee options, they were so convenient when we were off to a slow start in the mornings The hot tub on the roof was also really enjoyable, it was a little too rainy to enjoy the fire pits but we eyed those too because the view from the roof was unbeatable

Honestly I could go on and on, but if you’re looking for a boutique hotel experience the Silverbow delivers fully It’s quirky, comfortable and in a perfect spot in downtown They’re top of my list of reasons to go back to Juneau!

This a hidden gem! We usually stay at chain hotels but happened upon this place They had exactly the type of accommodation we were looking for Don’t let the age of the building fool you

The shower and toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion) were all high end And the WiFi was fast! (For those of us who had to do a little work) The staff took care of us like we were family They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs The breakfast was very good We ate it every day and never tired of it! The staff is small but mighty and just nice people We would recommend this place without reservation to any friend or family! Hope you stay there and enjoy it as much as we did!

Rita D

I cannot recommend this place enough, they literally thought of everything!! It’s quirky and cute and in the best location possible We were able to walk 2 minutes downtown to the bars and restaurants and also right to the transit center to hop on the Snow Bus to Eagle Crest Other highlights included the rooftop hot tub, the memory foam king size mattress, and the 24/7 self-serve snack/breakfast bar

I will definitely be returning someday soon
