I freaking loved this place! It is so spectacularly quaint, spacious and nestled in the mountains My room had a direct view of the swan mountains and the views I woke up to were truly breathtaking This place had everything- such warm hosts and staff who welcomed us to their Fourth of July celebrations, a beautiful game room, The best breakfasts so thoughtfully prepared by R and team, an honor code based inventory of regularly used items in case you forgot to pack

R knows everything about the place and offers great recommendations Our week here was such an amazing experience and I will definitely come back for more

Patty King

My lovely friend treated me to a weekend in Montana for a local music festival I had no idea what to expect since it was a relatively last minute invite but boy, was I NOT disappointed! The property is stunning, the rooms are clean, cozy and classy, the breakfast was phenomenal and the owner/host (Bill) was inviting, knowledgeable and extremely personable He made sure we and all the other guests were comfortable and well taken care of during our visit

He also ensured sure we knew the rules and expectations as guests I can’t imagine it is easy to run such a top notch business and keep a property like that in the beautiful condition it is in so I can appreciate his straight forwardness and open communication throughout our visit I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting this area of Montana I hope to return again to check out the National Park, which I overheard over the family style breakfast table, is stunning

Tucked away in a subdivision Staff is rude and condescending Unwilling to work with patrons

Overcharge for their rooms because they want to make it seem like it is a luxurious getaway Save your time and money and book at a Holiday Inn You will get more for your dollar The original reservation was for 4 adults We did have a 13 and 11 year old with us When we arrived we were told only 4 people allowed in the room PERIOD We did have blow up beds we could have placed in room, but were told under no circumstances could 2 additional guests be put on the rooms We explained our 2 older sons would sleep in the SUV The staff indicated that was not allowed The cost was $415/night PLUS $20/PP over 2 So once we arrived, we were told we could not stay After we left we were notified that if prior knowledge was given to B&B they could have accommodated us They COULD HAVE accommodated us that day, but they chose not to, and instead pocket $465 from a family simply trying to get 1 nights sleep before leaving the next morning to continue their vacation!

Great place to stay Rooms are large enough for families to chill out Beds are kinda hard but it’s not a big deal if you add blankets and pillows

Free breakfast is great I didn’t eat the same food each day Super friendly night staff Pool was always full due to a child’s birthday party, which was cool since I don’t swim in pools We will be back

Tricia Downey

The rooms are exquisite and clean The bathrooms are generous also They offer a delicious, complimentary breakfast that partially comes out at 3:45 am to accommodate those catching early flights

We just got married in Glacier National Park this week and us along with our family stayed at the Firebrand It was an absolutely beautiful hotel with designer touches around every corner! We stayed here June 2-5 It is hard to do these ratings as do you plug in price as a factor If you do, it would give it a 3 as it didn’t live up to it’s prices

If compared to many hotels that I have stayed in for say in the hundred to hundred twenty dollar area, it would be a five But prices are ranging here from $ 190 to $650! Ouch Not worth it No real major complaints Just not worth the money And it is a 40 or so mile drive to the park Not in or near the park The town of Whitefish was enjoyable Perhaps a factor that needs to be plugged in is the the season is pretty short and intense That can account for some of it But the bottom line is if you are going to visit Glacier NP, bring plenty of moneyPs no maid service was the norm unless requested I gave it a 4 because of the unique situation with the season, but many hotels have seasonal issues

Cora Kramer

Price point doesn’t match experience No continental breakfast AT ALL for the price is just ridiculous! Not even free coffee or a cereal bar The restaurant isn’t open at all for breakfast either

The food in the restaurant has gone down hill, the meat on the Ruben sandwich was so dry The good side – the staff was always super friendly and the rooms were clean

Stayed at the BW Flathead after spending a few days in Spokane Nice enough and centrally located Easy few miles into Kalispell or to Big Fork

Very clean Breakfast was standard What really set the place apart was the front desk people They were so nice and and genuine; they seemed like the really enjoyed themselves and helping the guests Great deal for the rooms in an otherwise pretty price touristy town, I don’t know what it would be during the busy season, but no doubt we got a good deal this time We would happily stay again

Hilda Lewis

This hotel would get a 5 but it needs some work The pool and hot tub are dangerous I slipped getting into and out of the hot tub, because the hot tub has no grip strips on the stairs or the floor

When we notified the person at the front desk about the lack of safety strips in the hot tub and that I slipped getting in she said that she would tell maintenance that it would be a good idea to put grip strips on the stepsAlso when my son Alexzander and I got to our room I had to wash the air conditioner filters I’m guessing that the house keeping doesn’t know that it needs to be done every 3 days, because they were nasty There was dust and dirt on it I washed one and laid it next to the other one on a white towel, and took a picture of them and showed them to the person at the desk the next morning and he acted like it was not his problem But he said that he would let the house keeping head know that it should be done every 3 days

Stayed there over the weekend and it is definitely worth it for the price! the room sizes were good and came with the basic things such as a mini fridge and microwave While the room was decent what really deserved the 5 stars was the staff and food It was our first time in Montana and the staff was really helpful in finding things to do around the area and gave amazing suggestions! The breakfast was included in our stay and it was a hot fresh breakfast

Unlike other places to stay they didn’t offer a dry breakfast, instead they had a variety of options to pick from, all which were made very well I would definitely recommend this place to stay as it was very affordable and had amazing service!

This Lodge is gorgeous! The rooms are huge & very clean!! Service with a smile! Coffee and hot chocolate available 24 hours a day Free breakfast buffet style Big comfortable beds, fluffy pillows

There is a towel rack mounted inside the tub/shower, I thought that was cool, towels and wash cloths readily accessible Awesome hotel!! Beautiful decor!! You definitely know you’re in Montana! Love it! My husband raved about it the whole timeWe could make this our home away from home😍

The best hotel we’ve ever stayed at And we travel a lot It’s not just the cleanliness and the organization of the place, but the attentiveness and the warmness of all the staffs that make our stay an extraordinary experience

Fresh cookies, popcorn, hot tea, and coffee throughout the day Amazing breakfast!!! Thank you Tom and Chris for being so sweet, kind, and attentive Kalispell is forever a memorable place for us thanks to amazing people like you

Matt Robinson

This was hands down the best hotel we stayed at during our trip The building certainly has some history and naturally is a bit dated However with the A/C window units and and modern flat-screen TVs and comfortable beds, it still felt like a luxury stay

We even got to take our dogs with us and stay in the hotel The staff were super nice and friendly!

Summary: Spend a week out here, you will have the time of your lifeThis place is like no other I am not exaggerating, Flathead Lake Lodge is legitimately the most “feel-good” place you can be

It cannot be put into words A week at the lodge is an experience that can’t be found anywhere else No matter your age, there will be activities for you You don’t have to worry about meals, transportation, or planning your days At any point in the day you can sit outside and see kids laughing on their bicycles, see families eating together, folks swimming in the lake, and the team of dedicated people working hard to keep this place runningIt really is pretty close toheavenThank you, Mr Averill, you have created something truly special in every way

Bob Treue

This place is incredible We had to wait two years on the waiting list to get in, but it was worth it Complimentary laundry, complimentary alcoholic drinks, incredible location and view on Flathead Lake with canoes, paddle boards, sailboats, water skiing, hiking, biking (so many bikes to choose from) and a dude ranch

The only flaw is the event sign-up at 7:30AM on Monday This is exactly like the Oklahoma Sooner land rush where settlers were told they could get free land on April 22, 1889, but sure enough much of the prime land was already occupied Hence the name, Oklahoma Sooners Similarly, we arrived at 7:30AM to sign up for much anticipated water skiing and other events I really wanted to teach the kids to water ski this week Unfortunately, all the slots were already taken But Flathead Lake Lodge does such an incredible job with the consumer service, they made sure that our family was able to water ski several times during the week Internet speed: 26 Mbps download, 10Mbps upload The beds are incredibly comfortable So many chairs facing the lake in the shade of a tree Pure serenity The customer service is amazing here The founding family still works here and the CEO was cooking the steaks on the Steak Fry day It is amazing how they have been able to get all their employees to buy in and care I loved this place Serenity on the lake + water ski + dude ranch + sailing + pool + incredible service makes this one of the best places on earth

Jean

A true Paradise! Amazing customer service and attention to detail Great food, unique activities and breathtaking grounds and views My family and I experienced the best vacation of our lives here

We were blessed to be part of the Week of Hope and could not stress enough how amazing the family and staff of Flathead Lake are It is a truly empowering and family-oriented environment It is our goal in life to come back someday!!! HIGHLY recommend

Room was a decent size for a family of 4 No fan in the bathroom When I was in the bathroom, I could hear people in the hall and upstairs

I couldn’t hear anyone from the beds though Pool and hot tub were open 24 hours a day Breakfast had a great variety of choices and the hot food changed each day Great location in town Great service at the desk

Dan Mingle

This is a very very good hotel The amenities were nice, clean, and a head and shoulders above a typical hotel – including the 24-hour on call shuttle! The breakfast was even better than advertised (the woman that runs it keeps everything on point!), and the 24 hour pool is very nice Every member of the staff that we met was top notch

Honestly, we were blown away at how great this experience was This will be the only hotel we stay at in Kalispell from now on

B B

Clean and simple All went smoothly and no concerns Furniture is a bit out dated 90’s style but doesn’t impact my future consideration to stay here again

Probably only downside encountered is that a perk of being a Diamond member is late checkout and best I could muster from these guys was 30 minutes additional They always blame it on staff shortages but I’d be curious if they pay a living wage for their cleaning staff >$25/hr Very happy that there was a liquor store across the street Simple to get around from this location

It was almost perfect The hotel is impressively styled, very clean, a great breakfast, and the staff is courteous and professional Everything was perfect, until I went to bed

There was no support in the bed or pillows and I had a really rough night’s sleep We stayed here because of the convenience of the location near the airport and if I was told there were newer beds & better pillows in another room, I’d definitely be back To me, cleanliness is a #1 priority, but a comfortable sleep is right there next to it, so that’s the reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars

Tyler Wagner

We just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to the wonderful staff of this amazing hotel We stayed for Christmas and Christmas Eve and had a wonderful experience Yes the breakfast is awesome, the art work is beautiful, the rooms are amazing clean up updated

This is hidden gem in Whitefish We didn’t stay here but we had breakfast on our last day We tried several places for breakfast, and they were good, but this is other level of greatness It’s amazing food, super cozy ambiance, most of places don’t have or (“doesn’t work”) espresso Machine, but here in FH coffee is delicious, pastries are super good, and breakfast is die for

We had breakfast sandwich and burrito , just amazing, full of flavor, great quality of ingredients, table by us had avocado toast, looked like nothing I saw before Must try I would recommend this place to everyone

Daniel Gagen

Very poor experience While the location is close to everything, its also close to the train tracks so I awakened throughout the night EVEN with a white noise machine The mattress compresses down to a pack of cards and the bed is VERY short

The room is right out a NYC hotel room as in tinythere is no way it could accommodate more than one person There is not comfortable place to sit The owners were unresponsive to questions and they did not event serve breakfast After booking they mentioned I had to eat elsewhere The wifi directions were incorrect The walls are thin, I could hear the couple across the hall And finally the only parking spaces are under a tree that drops sap on your vehicle Wonderful!

Super Siri

After being told the wait at another local Cafe was almost an hour, which we couldn’t wait, I headed to yelp and found the farmhouse inn and kitchen and we walked around the corner and down the street, and found it We went in and were greeted right away The hostess/cashier was very very nice and helpful

We ordered the pancakes and the lox toast The bacon with the pancakes was wonderful, the eggs were some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve had at any restaurant, perfectly seasoned and expertly cooked, and the side of fresh fruit (blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries) that came on that plate was fantastic as well The whipped cream that was served on the pancakes slid off so I ate it first and separately, and it was wonderfully whipped and was only just the slightest bit sweet The pancakes were fantastic I don’t generally like thick pancakes which these were, but they were buttermilk-y, slightly sweet, perfectly crispy edges, and soft in the middle They usually come with huckleberry compote, but I got them without the compoteMy mom got the lox toast and she really enjoyed it as well, even the arugula which she was skeptical of She did take the capers off because they are one of the approximately 4 foods she doesn’t enjoyThe outdoor seating out back was beautiful and tranquil, but there wasn’t a lot of shade back there, and most of the tables were at least in half sun, so just be prepared

The stay was good and staff was friendly They will charge you $50 for incidentals that they claim will be returned soon after your stay Well its been 2 weeks and 2 phone calls to the hotel and they continue to tell me that it should be any day

Still nothing, not even a call back as promised Beware after you check out that they will attempt to hold your incidental fee apparently in hopes that you are too busy traveling and will forget

The room was clean and the beds were nice Now the bad the bathroom was so small I could get my narrow wheelchair even into the bathroom

If someone is over weight good luck shutting the door They put a $50 hold on my bank card that still hasn’t come off my card when the lady said it would be off the next day You pay $200+ dollars and I couldn’t even use the bathroom We had just driven 600 miles and just wanted to go to sleep Save your money and go to the evergreen in Libby Way nicer rooms with huge bathrooms and your helping a local business Oh and you pay half the cost So unless you want the pool at the BW save your money The front desk lady was rude like we were bothering her just to check in PS as someone else mentioned the air filters are gross My husband checks them at every hotel we stay at because of bad allergies and these were so of the worst we have seen And your not finding my stay there became 1 I don’t use my real name on google and to I book everything using a different email for safety and security I will be calling to because we stayed Sunday night and it’s Thursday and I still have a $50 hold on my card Really people We are driving across country and gas ain’t cheap and I still can’t use that $50 dollars It’s a good thing all the hotels don’t hold on to my money like this or I would be stranded

We had a lovely three-night stay This hotel is a very well taken care of, modern, spotless, and comfortable hotel; probably the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, and welcoming

Every staff member we encountered was kind and very helpful We even ran into the GM and found him to be warm and hospitable I’d recommend anyone stay here when visiting Kalispell or the surrounding area We have absolutely no complaints
