Room had a weird musty smell, breakfast was trash, and the hot tub was not hot, or clean The pool is super small When i voice concerns about the hot tub not being hot, was told “sorry it isn’t up to your standards” snottily from the woman working the front desk

Had to pay a whole day even though i checked out 2 hours late I understand if you checkout late you need to pay, but i was checking out because the hotel was a dump i wasn’t late i was dissatisfied Short story long just don’t stay somewhere else We’re now at the Embassy Suites for about the same price

Susan Little GM was awsome!! After having such a horrible horrible experience at another hotel and then trying to find other hotels to stay they say 3rd time is a charm and it was!!Thank you so much for the hospitality and compassion with our previous incident!! We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back at some point

Today I experienced possibly the worst experience you can have with a hotel My wife works for Marriott and we booked five rooms around 2 months ago Marriott has a deal where you can get an associate rate for your spouse and for your parents

You can also book for your friends and family that are traveling with you for additional rooms at a little higher rate but lower than full price Sometime during our 6-hour journey to the hotel today, the general manager (Susan Little) called and left a voicemail that they could not honor the rates that were booked online I guess they had no time to notify us in the previous 60 days? Since she did very little to try to help us out today I now I can understand her last name Anyhow, when we got there she said the policy only allowed us to get two rooms and I said the policy said we could get two rooms at the associate rate and additional rooms for immediate family at the friends rate She said she had worked there for 10 years and knew the policy backwards and forwards and I was wrong and she was only going to give me two rooms at the associate rate and the rest would be $50 higher than what was booked My wife then went on to the Marriott website and signed in and print it off the sheet that shows the rate details which said as an associate you could get two rooms and additional rooms would be at the friends and family rate The general manager was then upset because I proved he wrong and she said she would not honor the friends and family rate I then asked for the phone number to corporate so I could call in a complaint after which the general manager, Susan Little, decided to cancel all of the rooms and now we had no rooms available to us We then went over to the Hampton across the street and after explaining Fairfield’s terrible customer service and treatment we received Hampton gave us a lower rate beating the Fairfield Inn associate rate which ended up being a much nicer hotel than the Fairfield Inn I would definitely check out the Hampton before checking in to the Fairfield inn And after this experience I will not be coming back to the Fairfield inn and suites by Marriott at Kansas City anytime in the future Attached is the policy so decide for yourself about the policy

My husband and I stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary just this past weekend The Inn and the property were absolutely beautiful The room we stayed in was spacious and had all the amenities we could have ever needed

From coffee to extra towels to our own AC controls It was a bit warm for a fire but there was also a cute little fireplace in the room The jacuzzi tub was perfect and the windows overlooked the property Beyond how it looked, the staff was beyond accommodating They were kind and warm and shared the history of the house with fondness and passion I look forward to having a returning trip in the future

Dane Sosniecki

My wife and I really enjoyed celebrating our one-year anniversary at the Inn on Crescent Lake We opted for early check-in to swim at their amazing pool They had our darling room (the Cabana Suite) prepped for the occasion with chocolate strawberries and champagne

We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in our suite, walking around the beautiful grounds, taking out a fun paddle boat, and having delicious breakfast in bed The place was very tranquil and the innkeepers (Mike, Monica, & Luke) were so very nice Highly recommended!

Kelley Hale

We stayed here one night as a quick getaway without the kids So relaxing and romantic The breakfast was the most delicious I’ve ever had

The staff was so nice and accommodating They had everything we could have wanted and more! The latte machine was delicious and the mansion and grounds are gorgeous A perfect way to spend a night away as a couple!

Overall this was a great experience! Hotel was definitely haunted Majority of staff was friendly and very helpful The ambiance took you back to 1920’s

The food was delicious! The spa was amazing Beds are very comfortable Wish we had remembered our swimsuits for the lap pool; it’s gorgeous Only issues were blinds in bathroom needed dusting, the maid didn’t refill the toilet paper for our second night and it was always a hunt to find where the meals would be served Also outlets in the rooms are not easily accessible for charging your phone Ghost tour was great 👍

Aneliese Apala Flaherty

We had a lot of fun! They have a lot of new renovations going on but they have adjusted everything so that the cafe/bar exists, they are just in a different area There were icy conditions so a lot of people called out, but those who made it did their best to compensate (felt so bad for everyone) Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable

Room and facilities were clean and comfortable Spa was amazing (also undergoing renovations) The grounds are beautiful

Kate Colvin

We had a Mother’s day out at the Grotto Enjoyed every bit of the relaxing atmosphere from hot tub, to dry sauna to body scrub with mud and steam hot shower and ice cold shower to top it off We spent a good portion in the lap pool downstairs and also sat in 1 of the 2 hots downs stairs too

It was too cold yet for the outdoor pool, but I have also used it before and it’s like being on vacation somewhere extravagant We left feeling rested and rejuvenated Highly recommend a day spent and more if you have time

What a great stay at this hotel! Staff were very nice and helpful The rooms and overall appearance of the hotel was nice and clean This establishment utilized their space well and thought of everything in regards to your needs

It has a safe, a nice wardrobe, and a great bench for holding suitcases as opposed to placing them on the floor I like that they didn’t have the tiny shampoos and conditioners, since I find them to be wasteful My husband loved the complimentary breakfast, they have quite the spread

Booked this hotel specifically for location and hot tub and checked in to find out there is not a hot tub despite being listed multiple places and in reviews Beware if this is a criteria for you! Otherwise my stay is fine Staff was very friendly and courteous

The shower was small and only a wall removable hand shower head which was not great However, we somehow ended up in a handicap room so this may be better in other rooms Room was clean and comfortable otherwise

Bishop Marcia Smith-Perkins

We were dissatisfied with an extended stay property down the street We left looking for another hotel to stay in and Hampton In & Suites was the first one I saw that I knew good things about And, well GOD is good and when I went in I was greeted with friendly, understanding and accommodating service from start to finish

The property as impeccable as far as cleanliness; amenities were great and my grandchildren enjoyed the pool, snacks and food available 24/7 I enjoyed my stay What started out as a bad experience in Liberty at the extended stay property ended up top of the hill comfort at Hampton Inn & Suites Thank you

I stayed 4 nights during the recent Big 12 basketball tournament nearby and this was a really good find Front desk staff was always kind The hotel smelled nice and the complimentary breakfast was tasty

The room was exactly as I expected and have zero complaints especially with how quiet it was If you don’t mind a short drive to and from KC, this is a great value

Stayed at this location in the past with the exact same scenario, this time was different…I need to move my reservation arrival forward 1 day prior to my arrival so I called and spoke to the front desk They rebooked my reservation AT THE CURRENT RATE Which added $20 a night to my rate

When I ask why and told them as a Lifetime Platinum Member this was the first time this has happened they told me to call and speak with the manager Thanks Check out was even more fun The team needed to depart for another client early I notified the desk of the change in plans after ‘checkout’, which we have had no trouble with in the past This time, Charged a full night stayThis is the last time we will stay here What is the point of being loyal (Lifetime Platinum) when I get this treatment? Garbage We won’t be back

Angi Harrison

We stay in hotels weekly for work and we like to have breakfast there in our hotel Which has become an issue for one very simple thing I don’t eat cheese and all the hotels we stay in serve breakfast covered in cheese

well Ms Amanda with her gracious self went above and beyond to make sure I had something not covered in cheese to eatthat act alone made this hotel a yes

Andrew Buchanan

I want to preface this review by saying that I travel extensively for work In the last few years that I have submitted reviews, sadly and most unfortunately, they are negative The accommodations in the new and brave Covid world has resulted in

what I call a decline of service and quality This brings me to my current review of Town Place Suites in Liberty, Missouri The accommodations here are, like most places, adequate and acceptableLiberty is a town that I frequent often, and I have the choice to stay in any location that I like I choose to stay here for one specific reason Abbi, the bartender Abbi is what has made this place a home to me It is so rare to meet an intelligent and ambitious individual capable of connecting with people and making them feel at home wherever they are from Abbi has made this place a shining star in my book, I have stayed here many nights, and although I have not always spent time at the bar, she has always been here, ensuring that her patrons are supported and taken care of with a gentle and positive healthy attitude I tend to be cynical due to the decline across the country, but Abbi has been able to restore my faith and kept me a loyal customer If you have the opportunity to visit or pass through, this is where you need to stop at and pull up a chair to visit I have watched her shine through some of the most challenging situations that even a seasoned bartender would balk at, every time without fail, she has been able to handle it with grace and perfect poise The atmosphere in a small bar feels like you are at home and you are welcomed and belongBy all means, come for the accommodations but stay for the unique and excellent service provided here by the all star bartender Abbi

When visiting the area near Worlds of Fun, there are several hotel/motel options in the immediate vicinity; namely due West of the amusement park across Interstate 435 on Randolph Road/Corrington Avenue Going back some 15 years ago, many of those options weren’t bad at all, with one or two higher-priced optionsFast forward to 2022, and some of the motels are turning into places were the homeless or less fortunate live all the time

So finding a decent stay in that area is actually quite challengingFortunately, this hotel is still holding true to being a quality place to stay, and at a reasonable price The Staff are friendly, and the hotel is clean The rooms are what you expect with the normal amenities (TV with cable, coffee pot, etc) Access is through main doors to help with security This is a plus given the locationThe only thing to be concerned about (and honestly this is not the fault of Super 8) is the deterioration of the surrounding area Again, other motels very close by are not the basic bargain motels of yesteryear, instead hosting recent crimes as stand offs, assaults, and theftsMy wife and I were hosting our oldest son, his wife, and our grand daughter for a weekend We live close by, so we wanted them to be close by as well Given our local knowledge we had to do our homework and go through the reviews of all the hotels there and found this to be the best We weren’t disappointed, and neither was our son and his familyIf you are planning a visit to say Worlds of Fun and want to stay very close to the Park, this is really your one good option without paying absurdly high prices or settling for a 15+ minute commute from the Park to your hotel

Philip Dodd

The lady at the front desk was awesome, she gets 5 stars! the only reason I gave 3 stars is the jacuzzi had 15 spots were the coating was chipped off and the shower had 1 spot that was chipped off Since the jacuzzi is made of fiber glass underneath the coating, we didn’t get a chance to use it, I didn’t want to risk getting literally getting covered in fiber glass Other then that the room was really nice, and for the price it couldn’t have been better

I’ve paid more for a room without a Jacuzzi that wasn’t as nice as this one, and couldn’t hear other people in there room untill they open there door So the sound deadening was remarkable I’d stay there again if they fix the jacuzzi

Brandi Moss

This place was horrible First off you must have a credit card and an id that matches So you can’t use your husbands credit card with out him

Secondly our bed was broke and my son cut his hand on it when the bed slipped off and he fell The rooms were musty and moldy smelling The door frames were all bent like someone had tried to pry the doors open The lock on the inside was broke The gentleman that checked us in was hateful The only positive thing was the beds were comfy, but super small they are only a full size bed

Nice size rooms that are up to date, staff is friendly and available at all hours, nice pool and hot tub Can be on the pricey side compared to the other 5 hotels it is next to buy by far the nicest of them If you are coming to town for World’s of Fun it is an ideal location

Not to close to anything else But casinos it’s about 25 minutes to downtown and 30 mins from kci airport

The queen bed suite is probably the smallest candlewood room suite I have ever stayed inThe bed was against the wall less than 6 inchesI had to crawl into bed from the footSince we have over 200000 points, we have seen quite a few rooms The staff was nice but will not stay here again unless it’s the only place we can find between little Rock and Minneapolis that accepts pets

Loud Music!!I booked my stay for 2 days The first day I checked in around 7:00pm and there was already people outside in the back area with Bluetooth speakers blaring with loud music I called the front seat around 9:30, she said that they should lower the music around 10:00pm

Well, 10:30pm came around and the music was at the same levelI called again and the employee went out and ask them to lower the music The second day, the same crowd started their music at 4:30pm……I called at 10pm and the front desk operator (different from the night before), hesitantly said she will go and ask them to lower the music They eventually lowered it after 15minsI started to wonder if this hotel is specifically designed for a party hub Due to the fact that the crowd had blue tooth speakers that lit up They had a microphone They had large amounts of alcohol Music as loud as they desired…only thing missing was a disco ballIn general……when most people are traveling, they rely on hotels for rest…peaceful rest That is what you pay for Travelers rise at early hours of the morning to start their journey again, how can you successfully do that without getting some sleep with loud music outside your window??I give it 2 stars ONLY because the front desk employee on my first night was so sweet and welcoming

We really enjoyed our stay here The staff were friendly and helpful There was a good assortment for breakfast

Water park was enjoyable, except CROWDED on Saturday night, and hot tub not very bubbly or hot The room was spacious and clean Walk in shower could use a seat or ledge for foot prop but was otherwise perfect DownsidesThere was a very odd odor in our room, the exhaust fan flapped in the wind, and the ac unit groaned and banged, but I slept right through it on the soft comfy bed

Kaila Davis

My family and myself are moving from Minnesota to Texas, and we decided to stop for the night Let me tell you this hotel is amazing! From the front desk staff all the way down to the water pressure in the shower The bed is super comfortable

We got a really nice room for a really great price! I will defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone that has to pass through this area! 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Wonderful & Safe stay with our towed car and trailer full of stuffWe stayed here on our road trip from Atlanta to Salt Lake City We were moving our son with his car and belongings So we were leery to stay just anywhere hearing all the stories of people’s stuff all getting stolen

We asked the hotel staff if we could park our truck and trailer and stuff in front of the hotel and they were very cooperative and allowed us This kept our stuff safe The room itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable The beds are amazing even their sofa bed was comfortable The breakfast in the morning was ample and very delicious – they even had little quiches Everything was perfect! Would definitely recommend this hotel

We checked in on line two days earlier but when we arrived at around 5:30 pm we were told our room was blocked for us but never cleaned Front desk clerk tried to find us another room but nothing was available She called the manager and they suggested they assist us in getting a room at another Marriott in the opposite direction we were traveling

We declined since we had been traveling for over 9 hours already Manager was going to get room cleaned and told us to go have dinner while they did When we returned we had to wait a few minutes longer until the room was available On another note when we booked this hotel we didn’t notice that there was an amusement park across from the hotel It was the weekend and hotel was packed with kids! They were all over touching everything and going wild in the pool They were having fun but not relaxing for us seniors

Wendy G

This was very 1st time that I’ve walked in2 a hotel room, where I did not feel the need to wipe down the room There was no smell

the room was awesome!!Some hotel are clean, but not clean enoughI didn’t feel like I had to burn my clothes if something fell on the floorOverall, If you stay I don’t think you will be disappointed, besides as a bonus there’s always the amusement park across the way 🤗!!!
