Having read recent reviews of construction and maybe the hotel going down hill, that wasn’t our experience at all The construction was unobtrusive and quiet – and you have to be able to update the hotel sometime, so understandable too The service was impeccable from checking, to the room hostess, to checking with us to see if we needed anything

It was better service than we have experienced at any resort, especially since the pandemic began The hotel grounds were amazing, as always The room had been updated and was spacious and comfortable We loved our stay

Christine Griffiths

Love this resort! We have stayed here three times now and will definitely be back Our first time we stayed here it was on our honeymoon, the second time we came back with our new little daughter, and this third time we came again as a family, along with my brother and his girlfriend This resort is great for couples and for families

You cannot go wrong hereI was a little bummed upon arrival to discover the main lobby and certain areas of the hotel (including the spa) are under construction, but management was accommodating and it did not terribly interrupt our relaxing timeThe pools are fabulous and the service is five star Mike, one of the servers at the pool, is our favorite He has worked at the resort for years and really makes our trip Many of the staff have worked at this resort for years The longevity of the employees really adds to the experience as a repeat guestI cannot wait to return after the construction is complete I am certain it will be amazing!

Frederick Mansfield

Great location, though the entrance could be a bit more obvious It’s clearly an aging hotel that is currently undergoing a huge multi-year renovation The construction was not obtrusive but I am bummed I missed the main bar in the middle (turtle head)

I am sure it will be amazing once finishedMajor highlights: luau Very cool and entertaining Their beach was very clean as wellMy only major complaint, which did affect our visit, is the walls were very thin You could hear regular conversation through the connecting doors and very easily hear foot steps above us A hotel of this quality should not have these issues As I said in the beginning, an aging hotel that needs updating, which I am happy they are doing The price was definitely higher than we would have liked for the quality of the hotel roomsWould I go back? Yes…AFTER the renovation is completeTook a start off for quality:price ratio

We LOVED our stay here!!!! The hotel is less than 1min away from the beach, just walk across the street!!! The staff are friendly and attentive We had a suite style room with a full kitchen and living room Loved that we had a full-sized fridge

Also, included in your daily amenities charge ($25), we got rentals of bikes, ice coolers, umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels at no extra charge It felt so down to earth, very relaxing We would definitely stay here again

Linden Wu

It was a fairly nice one night start Room and bed were clean The property seems a bit old and worn, but everything was comfortable

One of the window latches was broken, and the screen door didn’t work properly either Everything else was fineNo breakfast available, but there was coffee and snacks at the reception areaOverall, this is a good budget option for the area

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel They compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of my favorites in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you definitely won’t be disappointedWe had a fantastic time staying here and would definitely recommend it to others The staff was friendly, check-in/out was easy, the resort was extremely well kept, and the rooms were clean and modernLocation wise you can’t beat it for the price – you’re a few minutes to a grocery store, minutes away from a few dinner restaurants, and a 5-minute walk down to the water and beach boardwalkOne piece of constructive feedback would be to change up the breakfast options, cater better to vegetarian/plant-based diets, and serve fresh fruit, which is plentiful in Hawaii!

Sohil Shah

Solid hotel and no real complaints The Wailea area is very nice and convenient to travel around Maui The best part of the stay was the room as the 1 bedroom suite was spacious and felt like a true apartment

The breakfast was average at best with limited options but that may likely be due to COVID restrictions The staff was friendly and nice While the facilities and amenities are clearly below the 4 and 5 star hotels in the Wailea area, this is a good place to stay if you want to travel Maui and primarily use the hotel to sleep and recharge

Alberto Lamberti

A very popular hotel here in Wailea The rooms are spacious I like the concept as it comes with a full kitchen and you can save a lot of money between the complimentary breakfast each morning and buying your own food

They have grills available if you choose to use them The location is a little distant from the beach but makes up for it with a nice pool and a shuttle that will take you to the nearest beach I recommend this hotel

Beautiful hotel & resort and a perfect destination for our first-ever visit to Hawaii and a celebration of the final state on our 50-state quest The on-site bars & restaurants were terrific, the people everywhere were friendly and helpful, and we couldn’t be more pleased We were there just before the beginning of renovations, which probably made it a bit quieter than usual, but we enjoyed a bit more “elbow room

” We would love to return after the renovations are complete, and are sure it will be even more beautiful! One tip would be that in order to really enjoy the ocean views, a room on the third floor or higher would generally be preferred We had a second floor room, which was blocked a bit by trees and flowers Otherwise the room and the views were wonderful! We enjoyed watching humpbacks in the bay as well as the various surfers and rowers

Steven Hayes

My wife and I stayed here for the final night of our honeymoon, and we can’t say enough positives about here! The most beautiful property, incredibly friendly and accommodating staff in all areas of the hotel, and the rooms are much larger and more luxurious for the price than the other hotels in the area The food at Ko and the breakfast buffet were both highlights, and the spa was amazing as well The front desk was even able to get us an extra early check-in and late check-out so that we could enjoy some additional time on the property, which was very welcomed

We would love to stay again in the future!

Tom Harrison

So many things are just right here Just finished a wonderful and relaxing session of sunset yoga with Angel, the fabulous instructor here at the hotel We were at the edge of the ocean, in the breeze and hearing the crashing surf

Her instruction was gentle and clear, with focus on breath and alignment I feel wonderful nowA vacation should help you clear your mind and regain the wonder of the earth and life Hawaii is a place that makes that easy, and yoga by the sea is a delight worth seeking

Fantastic customer service from Shaunte and staff We stayed at Hoolei Villas at Grand Wailea which is an excellent choice for larger families We were a multigenerational group ranging from 2-68 years and found the Villa to be a perfect choice

The pool at Hoolei and the slides at Grand Wailea provided endless entertainment The food options were good and prices reasonable given the locationRoom service directly to the Villas would have been nice Currently one has to go to lobby of the Grand Wailea to pick up the foodStay was from march 31 to April 10, 2022Ed G

This was our 3rd visit to Ho’olei at the Grand Wailea, we love it We always make sure to book through Grand Wailea to ensure resort privileges Our children are 11, 13 and 15 and they had a ball on the water slides

There are also many areas for smaller children The apartment was enormous, luxurious and the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in We were able to get provisions easily at the Wailea shops The view is sensational with whales breaching 🐋 and the changing light on the volcano – so beautiful and peaceful Bring binoculars! The resorts are spotlessly clean – the property is spacious so even though at times there are a lot of people staying, it never felt crowded I ordered lunch to our pool chairs most days – great kids menu and fresh salads for me Wifi was also excellent I used the well equipped Ho’olei gym and was tempted by the outdoor cycle classes at the Grand Wailea The resort is an easy drive to attractions and 30 minutes from the airport There are lots of restaurants with eat in & take out options We felt very Covid safe and were so grateful for the break We will be back

Prabhuti Tiwari

Luxurious spaces with all kinds of facilities one could imagine They also provide surf boards and beach chairs kept at the garage The kitchen is fully equipped, even with the utensils needed for toddler and kids and all sorts of baking etc things

They gave us 3 keys of the main door but only 1 worked for us so please take care to check all the keys once you enterLocated at just 10 min walk from Wailea beach

Exceeded our expectations for a special honeymoon destination We loved the grounds, our large room, and the adult-only environment We felt very well taken care of by all staff

We were hesitant about staying away from the beach but in hindsight are so happy we did The pool and atmosphere were so quiet and relaxing It was easy to use the private shuttle service to access the beach and Wailea areaWe hope to visit again!

Mark Kaminski

Hard to beat such a place Although expensive (particularly the food/drinks), we are enjoying our 4 day stay here The distance to the beach was no problem with their shuttle (and they reserve a lot of space at a public beach north of the Four Seasons)

All employees were very friendly and solicitous Rooms (we had partial ocean view) are huge, clean and very well appointed suites The pool area works wellA peaceful and relaxing stay

Priya Das

This place is amazing! From the minute we walked in we felt relaxed, and we were greeted by friendly staff and champagne The property is beautiful and so was our room which had a partial ocean view There’s a free shuttle service that takes you around Wailea which was helpful since we didn’t rent a car

Loved the pool and cabana area as well (great cocktails)! Also, the birdcage is a fun place to have drinks with amazing views, and the restaurant has pretty good food

My husband and I stayed 5 nights here on a Points + Cash redemption in a partial ocean view king room We loved every second of our stay!!! We thought the value of upgrading our room to have an ocean view was well worth it, and we were lucky to have our balcony on the ground floor for easy access to the poolThe staff at the hotel are all incredibly kind and responsive

I told them we were celebrating a milestone at my husbands job, and we were welcomed to our room with a bottle of champagne and a congratulatory dessert! It was such a nice treat and made us feel so special! As a Platinum elite member, we chose the breakfast option as our benefit There are a couple places to get your coffee, pastry, and fruit cup for that benefit, but we found the Starbucks to have the best options/variety You get a tall drink of your choice and a pastry like pumpkin bread off their menu options We did not receive a room upgrade, which I politely requested via email before hand as a Platinum member, so I think that’s kind of just how it goes at this resort, but we are only one data point! The rest of the resort amenities, variety of pools, and proximity to the beach are all amazing and a great tribute to why this hotel was a great choice for newlywed couples, families, and older couples alike The one minor thing that this hotel lacked compared to others in the area was direct beachfront access (5 minute walk either direction, with complementary beach chairs on Wailea beach), but the trade off in my opinion is better views of the ocean from the rooms and the pools! All in all, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone!!!

Reese Blaskowski

Stayed here on points, booked a garden view room and got upgraded to ocean view, which was amazing Very welcoming and attentive staff, and we enjoyed our welcome drinks and the poolside bar The infinity pool is spectacular, we spent a majority of our day just looking at the ocean from the pool

Probably would not be able to justify staying here paying cash (rates were $1500+/night when we visited), but was definitely worth it on points, and would be worth it if you found some off-season deals

Victoria Sabinina

Booked this place by friend’s recommendation Honestly, should have stayed at four seasonsThe place is overpriced for what it is

The buildings are so far from each other and feel like summer camp rather than a luxury hotelThe first red flag was when I called the front desk to book a dinner reservation, and the gentleman told me to go online and book it “Great” customer serviceWhen we arrived the front desk said they got us an amazing roomWhen we walked in, the AC sounded like a tractor, we had to fight with them to get transferredInstead of offering an apology, we felt they just gave us the worst room they hadRooms are not pretty whatsoever, I really didn’t enjoy being insideThe whole property is not maintained well Trash everywhere, I wouldn’t risk to eat in those restaurants Even Starbucks looked disgustingThe only thing we enjoyed was the infinity poolThis hotel should be $400 a night tops Definitely would pay extra $300 to be at four seasons

We definitely will use this spot again Our condo was clean on a high floor with beautiful views The grounds are lush and well maintained with friendly staff around

The villas are close to the The Shops at Wailea where you can find places to grab a meal The concierges Scott and David were helpful in making excursion and Dinner reservations at the Grand Wailea Only thing missing is a full length mirror in the condo and I wished the adult pool was a bit deeper

Nena Cook

Beautiful place but got a lecture about my military discount I was told l needed Order Papers as no discount for Retirees nor their families No base in Maui to my knowledge

Saving grace l called night b4 to verify my military ID was enough as military discount said papers, military idAfter showing Kai l stayed @ 2 additional Marriott locations, via my app, she scolded this 61yr old and said the guidelines for Maui had changed🤔Sacrifice of family & life does not mean equal discount @ this upscale hotel🇺🇲

Lauren Bayly Holmblad

This was such a beautiful family vacation experience for us We had 8 adults in a high unit, which was more than wonderful It’s a 5 minute walk to the pool and beach

There is beach chair service as well The pool isn’t quite as picturesque as one would like (ie the Marriott Wailea view) but it’s very accessible Hang by the pool, run to Whale’s tale for snacks Very expensive, but the luxury was there

It’s hard to overemphasize how nice this place is It is beautiful in every possible way, and it was really hard to leave There were great views, a beautiful balcony off the bedroom, an amazing pool and hot tub next to the bar that were a perfect way to spend the evening The rooms were comfortable and super clean

The staff was kind and attentive The laundry room was on hand to dry my very wet clothes for $3 each day We didn’t try the breakfast, but the bar food was very tasty

Weiyao Wang

Pro: Staff are great! Breakfast has good value Be aware of first floor, since Ocean View Suites can barely see the ocean due to occlusionCon: find 3+ large bugs in my room, a bit scary… but staff told me they came from the storm prior to our arrival and they are having pest control

Staff are helpful in the end to switch me to a higher-floor room with no more insects

Kim Nguyen

My husband and I booked a night at the AC Hotel and had an amazing time there All of the staff were very nice and always greeted us every time we passed by them We got to check in a lot earlier than anticipated as they had availability, giving us more time to enjoy the hotel so this was greatly appreciated

Our room was very clean and modern, and the ocean view room was awesome as we got both a view of the pool and the ocean It’s a short walk to Wailea Beach which was convenient The gym was very clean as well, they have a Peloton bike which was a plus! I highly recommend staying here as our experience was wonderful!

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itMy husband and I, stayed here yesterday last minute due to having to leave our honeymoon with an emergency at home Very accommodating hotel Offered shuttle service from the airport Had the best service from the gentleman that worked the bar/restaurant area inside the hotel Very clean hotel and rooms Would absolutely stay again

This hotel has an excellent location near the airport (especially if you have an early flight the next day), the rooms are clean, comfortable and well-priced and it is also super-convenient to all of the shopping and food trucks in Kahului However, the best reason to stay here is the excellent customer service The staff and management is efficient, accommodating and very professional

They helped me with a big scheduling/technical error and handled it in the most professional and respectful manner I will definitely stay here again and customer services like this is why I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer!!!

Very welcoming, super clean hotel Was nice to stay there for 2 nights before our resort time began Bed very comfortable and shower amenities have a good smell

Only uncomfortable thing was the couch but those are typical of Courtyard’s and therefore has nothing to do with the comfort of this hotel I recommend this hotelI

Our time spent here was wonderful Amazing location that is also extremely tidy and beautiful Both the service and the restaurants themselves were wonderful

There is a huge variety of activities available, such as going to the gym, the beach, the pools, the gaming room, and so much more!! Every pool provides complimentary sun protection and water Modifications of a minor kind that bring forth its full potential

John Papp

My wife and I stayed here 7 nights for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint The service was absolutely top notch from the staff at breakfast, pool attendants, to the front desk staff Everyone was extremely helpful and delivered the best experience

The views are to die for and Wailea beach is regarded as one of the best for good reason The room was great and all amenities were of the highest quality

Laura Fountain

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is incredible! We visited in November 2021 for our wedding anniversary and couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation The rooms were extremely comfortable and the lanai with views of the pacific were so relaxing An added touch was having the Hawaiian music in the bathroom – loved this so much! The grounds were beautiful and well-kept, and the pools were refreshing

The adult infinity pool and swim-up bar were especially great! We did the outrigger canoe experience which was a special highlight as we got to experience Maui from the water and see lots of turtles! Breakfast at DUO every morning was wonderful, and there were always refreshing treats around the pool every afternoon We would like to say a special thank you to Volt at DUO and Rowena at the pool – your kindness and hospitality made our trip even more special, and we truly appreciate you! You simply cannot beat Four Seasons hospitality… Mahalo for a great vacation!

Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon, and we loved the hotel! The facility was beautiful, the on-site restaurants had great menus along with delicious food, and the staff were accommodating and friendly Our room was amazing and offered a fantastic view The few pools on site were the perfect size and were very relaxing to sit at during the day

During our stay, we took advantage of many of the perks of the hotel, including the guided kayak tour, mixology class, and stand up paddle boarding lessons We also attended the Luau offered by the hotel, and it was such a unique and special experience, while also being entertaining and enjoyable Each morning we went to breakfast at the main restaurant, and the food and service were 5-star! The only two notable negatives were that everything is very expensive and I think the overall maintenance of the hotel, especially the exterior, could be improved Overall, we had a phenomenal experience and if we are ever in Maui again, I have a feeling that we will be staying here again I highly recommend the hotel!

Absolutely gorgeous Amazing grounds, beautiful pools, great food Nothing to complain about

As I was at the bar, a band started setting up and I was worried that they would be too loud, but they were perfect and the lead singer was very attractive Great vibes from the band, I believe the bar has live music often Perfect place to watch the sunset
