Loved how clean and modern this hotel was! Everything is sparkling clean and all of the staff seem to take pride in their work and are very friendly The rooms are well laid-out with kitchenettes so you can cook for yourself if you’d like The breakfast has a lot of nice hot options such as sausage, scrambled eggs, kielbasa, 🧇 -as well as yogurt, cereal, baked goods, fruit, and hard-boiled eggs

We also had biscuits and gravy on the first day we stayed and hash browns on the second day The pool is smaller but adequate and there is a small bar in the lobby as well Excellent value for the money!

We were in town for a funeral, so needless to say it was a great relief that the hotel was fantastic Clean, large rooms, an indoor pool for the kids (which was a great release after the wake), there was pull out couch which was perfect for the kids to share The TV was on a swivel and had Netflix access which again, kept the kids busy

The staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was really good, gym had everything and was clean! We were really impressed with our stay

I don’t usually leave reviews for places that I stay, But this place stood out It stood out to me because of one person, this one person made my stay better than I could’ve imagined He knew my name, called me by it and remembered the room I was staying in

That guy is David He is a fantastic worker and deserves to be in a higher leadership role in the company or the hotel He blew my expectations away and I hope someone sees this and awards him for his kindness If you’re ready this David, You killed it, my guyThe Only gripe I have with this hotel is that there was not enough hot water to take a shower with sadly Other than That it was greatPros- David- BreakfastCons- Hot water issue

Six of us enjoyed lunch on the patio today having requested a lake view Wonderful, especially the food and service Each ordered a different meal and all wereDelicious

Being outside on a beautifulearly fall day with good friends and excellent food is perfect

Chris Holle

The location was great Service was leisurely but we weren’t in a hurry The food was tasty but not excellent

Portions were decent sized, but we felt the dishes were overpricedmost likely paying for the view What concerned us was the server upselling a bottle of wine when we only asked for a glass “It’s only $22just $4 more than a couple of glasses each” Well the wine was $35 much more than she said When we got the bill and pointed out the price, she just shrugged and walked away No offer to rectify the misquote

Bob W

Went here for lunch on Saturday Did not stay at the hotel Spectacular location and view of the lake

Had a nice lunch Food was good though a bit on the pricy side for what we had It is now my wife’s new favorite place Cant wait to go back in the nice weather and have lunch/dinner outside Great service Everyone there was super friendly and made you feel welcome Will definitely be going back

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic, great hosts, and a great waterfront view The home is located on the widest part of the Hudson River Inside you will find a artistically renovated interior decorated to the max

The bedrooms are quiet, no TV, phone,or radio, just solitude Breakfast included fresh fruit and croissants from Italy We met one other guest and he was super charming and very interesting! Special kudos to Andrea and Nelson!! Thank you Bill and Yvonne

kristy phillips

Casa Hudson is a beautiful B&B! The house has been fully renovated and is absolutely gorgeous When walking through the courtyard my first night there I felt like I was visiting a villa in Tuscany It has water views

There is a restaurant right across the street and plenty of convenience stores nearby The host treats you to breakfast croissants specially shipped from Italy I’m not a coffee drinker, but there is both a coffee maker and espresso machine My one tip would be to bring your own pillow if you’re particular about pillows

Adrienne Lynch

Great place to stay Myself and my husband had a mini honeymoon here We were both so delighted we found this treasure of a place to stay and get away from the craziness of life and just sit back and relax

The views are so beautiful and that’s just the outside of the house The entire house itself is a work of art and love It’s so peaceful and relaxing here We had a beautiful roomwith a king size bed The room was beautiful decorated and I loved Nelsons art work all over the house The hosts themselves are such lovely people They are welcoming and you can have great chats with them but you can also do you own thing Andrea and Nelson are both very helpful for anything you need, like where is good to eat and where you can get good wine We will definitely be back!!!!

The room is OK if rather basic, the service is as indifferent and uninterested as it gets They really don’t seem to care about their guests, which is a shameBreakfast was great, and the location is fine if being close to Woodbury is your priority

Spent a few days at the mansion for our Babymoon What an amazing experience From the second we pulled into the driveway we were treated like royalty

Amazing spa experiences (try the Turkish bath, you won’t regret it), excellent food and beautiful grounds Alan the innkeeper and owner was so friendly and made a point of coming over to talk to us anytime he saw us HIGHLY recommend coming here- you will truly enjoy your stay!!

Angela Martino

Just checked out of the Glemere , this was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life I have stayed in the most expensive hotels around the world and never ever once have I been asked to pay for pillow linens because my hair dye stained their pillow case Do your self a favor and stay far away from this place , ruined my vacation, I left a day early, was afraid to sleep in this horrible place, they want to charge me 500

00 dollars for pillow cases

Sal Panettieri

Absolutely the best restaurant in the area!! Great service and atmosphere My all time favorite place to eat Exceptionally good for a small party!Get there early and have a drink out on the patio

The view is spectacular And walk around the formal gardenGo on a night when they have Wine PairingAsk for seconds and thirds of the bread, it is excellentThe staff is very friendly and will do anything to satisfy your wishesWent here again Monday 7/25/22 Another fabulous dining experience! First drinks on the patio, What an excellent view!! Asked for the “date table” it’s in front of the fireplace Eric, our waiter, excellent!! I had the seafood tower It’s an appetizer, but I think that it’s too much food for an appetizer, it should be an entree! I wish I took a photo of it before I ate itEvery time my wife and I come here we are never disappointed Superb service, food, and atmosphere I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!PS- If you like history do some research on the mansion- fascinating!!

Nice hotel overall Room was clean and furnishings were updated Big plus if you are traveling with your pet

this hotel accommodates pets (there is a pet fee) and they must be on leash going through hotel 2 issues the lighting in bath is horrible for shaving or getting ready Secondly, there is no bar soap I requested it and was denied There are containers attached in shower for soap, shampoo and conditioner So, if you want to wash your hands, you go to shower for soap, 🤔😂😂 There is a diner and other food choices within walking distance and large mall a few minutes away

Rebekah Keener

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning effective and quiet The room darkening curtains did their job, and I had the best night of sleep away from home that I think I have ever had I would recommend it as a place to stay for anyone

If you are a person who likes coffee in their room, you might want to bring your own instant coffee packs as ours only had decaf But that was the ONLY almost-bad thing

J C

This is our fourth or fifth time staying here We mainly stay here due to the location near Legoland and also family events The Marriott App has been hit or miss

When we request extra bedding, we rarely receive it unless we go to the front desk and request it there The mobile key doesn’t always work eitherThe room itself is spacious The queen beds are better than doubles The bathtub was working well, with no clogging I like the tamper proof soap, shampoo and conditioner The sink backed up a little bit The seating area is comfortable There was some stains by the headboard of one of the beds, that I had to wipe down with disinfectant wipes There was also some mildew or mold in the vent of the AC

My family stayed here while attending a military honors funeral Just the history of the hotel makes it such an honor to be a guest The breakfast buffet is excellent

We had a room to celebrate with our group of classmates and the service was great Beautiful historic place The rooms are small but it’s location makes it easy to attend any event inside West Point Military Academy We will definitely be back and will recommend

Dave Decker

I stayed here during a road trip to the East Coast I really liked the historic, gorgeous building and grounds The room was very clean, large, and had great views of the Hudson

Accessing the place seems intimidating – going through a guard gate and all – but the hotel is well within walking distance to town The staff was very friendly (especially the valets – knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional), the food in the bar is great, and breakfast was good but (of course) expensive I’d return anytime

Erica Barnes

We stayed at the Thayer Hotel the beginning of May We absolutely adored the charm and history of The Thayer I felt like I was in Europe

The accommodations were great, they have a great fitness room and the staff was extremely nice and helpful (especially with us coming in so late after a 13 hour drive) Enjoyed eating at Zulu Time, but didn’t have enough time to try the other restaurants Will definitely stay there as much as we can over the next 4 years!

This is a very well operated hotel with extremely polite and responsive staff The lobby, pool, and breakfast areas are clean and bright, and the staff was very quick to refill the free hot drink station every time they saw someone use it Breakfast was typical budget hotel stuff, but the waffles are very good and there is a good variety of items

Rooms had modern TVs with built in streaming and new modern furniture There was carpeting in the halls and rooms, but it was clean and new The AC units in the rooms were the old fashioned behemoths that sit under a window, and they looked like they could stand to be cleaned, but they worked well to keep the room at the right temp The hotel building itself was in an office park without any restaurants nearby, but if you need medical supplies or an urgent care, you are in luck I stayed here for nearby Legoland, this appears to be the closest budget hotel, and it was just a couple minutes away, so I would definitely stay again

Michael LaBarbera

An interesting stay Nothing inherently wrong with nothing inherently impressive either Normally for a hotel stay that is as expected I would give 4 stars and be done with it, but there were just a few oddities about the place that I’d like to share

For example, the refrigerator in our room was off, this may seem like no biggie but in every hotel I’ve ever been in they are on and already cold and we didn’t actually notice it until the morning after our first night stay and nothing was cold TV, I don’t know if they do it for fun but the responsiveness of the Philips television in our room was like waiting for a dial up connection The fitness center, no indication it was in the basement, just ask you saywell we did, but there wasn’t anyone at the front desk and we had to ask the staff who were cooking and serving breakfast by going to the kitchen The emergency instructions on the elevators, were unreadable, either completely worn out or scraped off on the 1st and 3rd floor (didn’t check the 2nd)So yeah, strange non deal breaking things Everything seemed clean and cozy otherwise and a very convenient location based on our activities for the weekend

Robert Hufnagel

Robert Hufnagel, I was going to Legoland, and made a reservation for two nights The Hotel front desk, we’re all very friendly and was able to check in with Kobe, with no problemsRooms were Clean and the bathroom was clean

The beds and pillows were so comfortable The swimming pool was nice and clean You get free breakfast in the morning from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM Loren, the lady who worked in the kitchen, was very nice and friendly and helpful My overall stay was very Good Good Customer Service 👍

I cannot express enough how much I loved staying at Bear Mountain Inn! My boyfriend and I planned a last minute trip here and from before we even booked the trip, Bear Mountain Inn was extremely helpful and accommodating Commuting from the city can be confusing and they were very helpful with instructions (if you’re planning on coming from NYC, use Coach USA! Drops you off right in front of the hotel) They also were kind enough to give us early check-in since our bus dropped us off so early! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was so clean and cozy

The resort itself has plenty to offer and is incredibly beautiful We did not go to the restaurant, but the front desk was kind enough to give us a list of places that deliver to the hotel which was so helpful Check-out is 11am, but our bus was not arriving until 5pm The front desk was beyond kind enough to let us leave our bags in the lobby so we could enjoy a few more hours of the resort I never write Google reviews, but I had to for the Inn Thank you Bear Mountain Inn for such an amazing experience!!!

Christian & Mari Coerds

We had a wonderful stay at Bear Mountain Inn It’s clean, beautiful, and rustic Truly an experience itself, with the beautiful lake to stroll around in the mornings, hikes galore

The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean And, the customer service is amazing! They are very accommodating and generous The restaurant is really good too!

Stacy

We stayed in room 304 Room was extremely clean, bathroom slightly outdated and worn, bed was comfy and room larger than expected Extremely helpful and friendly

Rather hard to sleep with air conditioner requiring major updating AC unit in room was very noisy, extremely cold when on then when off room got rather warm Hotel was pleasant inside, would recommend to stay during week as opposed to weekend to avoid large dirty crowds of people blasting music and leaving trash all over lake picnic area…that was disappointing and sad to see

The room is very clean inside The price is nice, the room is spacious and comfortable Give your child plenty of room to move around

And it has a small kitchen, which is very convenient for our family with children Shampoo and shower gel these are pretty good And the kids are happy here I will book this hotel again when I come next time I recommend you to go there It’s a very good experience

Ari Bluzenstein

Upon arrival, (and throughout the day) Reggie & Jada at the front desk We’re extremely friendly and helpful They helped us out and gave us amazing service The room was really clean and the kids really enjoyed being at the pool

The rooms were really spacious, and we really appreciated the full size fridge and freezer We took advantage of the 24 hour free coffee We eat kosher, and we appreciated the few things you had with a kosher Symbol for breakfast We would definitely recommend this hotel

Alex Cuevas

I think this hotel could be a 4 or 5

great location Next to legoland and the mall which has some cool kid things to go do The service at the front desk was so so and I think needs some help My main complaint is that I felt the person was on edge and ready to engage in confrontation It did not feel welcoming and will likely affect my desire to return to this property in the futureIf the service concern gets addressed then the hotel should do great Pool is kind of small but good enough for the kids to enjoy

Lovely stay Clean and Covid safe Incredible attention to details with delicious breakfasts delivered to the room with creative menus every morning! Lemon cookies waiting on arrival were exquisite

Rooms are cozy with fireplaces, snacks, robes and slippers The bed has two squishy pillows and two firm ones; they have truly thought of everything and want you to enjoy your stay A conflict with noisy guests was addressed promptly and really doesn’t seem to reflect the peaceful environment they are trying to create It was a perfect quiet weekend away, designed to be romantic and cozy One piece of advice: the room with an air tub is totally worth it- try to book this room

Jacqueline D Katz

This place is the absolute best!! If you want a cozy and romantic getaway in a beautiful location, there’s nothing better The rooms are beautifully decorated and so thoughtful – there was even a white noise machine and a small wine fridge! The breakfasts were delicious, and Dena was kind and responsive and catered to my dietary restrictions Will absolutely be staying here again!

Live locally and come here for dinner often This is a truly special place The owners are really nice and take pride in everything they do

Just left on a Thursday night and sadly the place was almost empty The food and service were outstanding Not just my food but everyone’s food at the table was perfectly prepared with high quality ingredients From cocktails through dessert, really impressed I have also been here for large parties and they do an equally fine job Great hard to find bourbons as well You need to come here!

Angela Vallone

This is an absolutely amazing venue to have any party you could ever want to have at We just had our belated wedding celebration/baby shower there over the weekend and it went so beautifully The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful and truly made the day flow without a hitch

They are also super easy going and helped us change some last minute things without any issue to make things simpler for our guests We rented out the Atrium and Porch for 80 people and had a beautiful indoor/outdoor event full of fun, laughs and smiles We could not recommend this venue more highly Some of our guests stayed to have some drinks at the bar after our event was over and stayed overnight in the beautiful rooms at the Inn We will definitely be going back there, whether it’s for another event/party or even just for a nice night away for a change of scenery I’d give them 10 stars if I could 👍🏻

Liz Pollard

It was our 2nd time there It is a charming and lovely setting We had dinner and the food was very good but the proportions we felt were small in comparison to what they charge for it

As an example, they charge $45 for duck I would’ve been interested in the dish but couldn’t justify spending that amount Overall experience was good but it lacks the wow factor and is overpriced

It was a very nice place it had a vintage feel to it just very cozy and lovely The owner Kathy was very sweet and welcoming We went in the pool and the hot tub which was so nice and relaxing! We ended up leaving quite a bit past check out due to our ride being late , so hopefully Kathy will let us stay again one day I also did not get to say thank you , because I didn’t see Kathy when we were leaving If you see this Thank you so so much for a wonderful night Love , Madison and James 🙂

Food was incredible and service was great! Our server had blue or green streaks in her hair, can’t remember her name Great service! Cocktails were incredible as well We came here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, and it didn’t disappoint

My boyfriend said it’s one of the best chicken sandwiches he has ever had, and the burger was to die for The ox tail tots are definitely a great way to start And of course, the view 😍

We loved this hotel! It’s located perfectly on the east end of Main Street, so there are a ton of cute stores and restaurants within walking distance The included breakfast was nice; it consisted of yogurt, a small bagel, and a muffin, plus coffee / tea and orange juice We stayed in the building where the lobby is located, and our room had amazingly high ceilings

I really enjoyed how much natural light we got The is super comfy We came in the middle of a heat wave in August and the room AC kept us cool I never heard other hotel guests, so I think the sound insulation is also pretty goodThere were some odd things about the room though that I took off a few points for, including that the bathroom door is a sliding barn style door so you’re not going to get perfect privacy, and in our bathroom, the entire shower handle hardware was able to be pulled out about an inch from the shower tile, so that we could literally see into the wall It wasn’t a problem for us, but I could see why some people would have issues with the bathroom
