During a recent (May 2022) vacation we stopped off for the evening at the La Quinta Inn and Suites just off I-75 along the outskirts of Lake City, Florida In the past, I’ve found La Quinta offers a good value and comfortable accommodations This particular La Quinta fulfilled exactly that

Check-in was easy, even at near midnight when we stopped We had an option of a king bed albeit on a pet-friendly floor or a double on non-pet floors We opted for the king bed despite not traveling with any animal companions This worked out just fineThe room was spacious with a very comfortable lounge chair and stand perfect for using a laptop Otherwise, the room had a decent flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, and coffee station tucked in an alcove by the bathroom, and various furnishings for luggage or storage The room was clean, though being on a pet floor did have a sort of cleaning scent you might smell at a veterinarian office It was not offensive by any means, but if it might bother you and you are without an animal, consider rooming on one of the non-pet floorsThis La Quinta had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve enjoyed during travels – I’d rate the mattress as medium-firm After a good night’s rest, I was glad to enjoy an excellent breakfast complete with hot waffles, eggs, sausage, and biscuits + gravy The breakfast is included with your stay, of course, but I suggest being sure to have a little cash to pitch in the tip bucket for the workers here who ensure you have a great start to your morningOverall, I was satisfied with my stay at this La Quinta The room was comfortable, quiet, and the location felt very safe If you’re seeking a basic but quality place to rest and recharge when traveling through the Lake City region, definitely consider this La Quinta!

This was a lovely hotel at a very convenient location for travelers, being close to I-75 and I-10 The lobby and rooms were spotless, modern, and cheerful The front desk personnel could not have been nicer or more welcoming

My only complaint is partially my fault, but when I called the next day to report that I had inadvertently left 3 bottles of medicine near the coffee pot and that a family member would pass right by that exit and could retrieve the, I was told that no one had seen nor reported them It as my mistake, but I feel that I may not be the first nor last to make one like this I do think there should be some policy established to correct this

I should probably preface this by saying that if you’re rating this according to how you would rate a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton, it’s not a fair comparisonFor a budget motel to spend the night in, this place is about as clean as they come We had 2 small dogs with us who did fine in the hotel

The bathroom was clean and once we got the AC turned on, it was pleasant Since the motel takes pets, be advised that your room will probably smell like it’s had pets in it Having said that, the odor wasn’t intolerableSo I give it 4 stars based on rating discount, economy type of hotels Give it a shot

Stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham Lake City FL recently on my way to OrlandoThe property was very clean driving into the parking lot They seem to be a busy hotel as there were many cars parked in the parking lot

Lobby ambience was very welcoming and the Front desk personnel were equally welcoming and friendly!! Quick check in followed by the friendly associate at front desk giving me area information and recommendations!! At the end of check-in she surprised me by offering me to choose between Vanilla or Chocolate ice cream!!!! They offer free ice cream at check-inWow!!! She also informed me that they offer free supper Sunday to Thursday for all hotels guests as well as deluxe breakfast in the morning with lot of great hot options I have never stayed at a property that offered free supper, free ice cream and really great hot breakfast I was late for the supper but the free ice cream and the free expanded deluxe hot breakfast next morning completed by excellent stay at this clean, friendly and well run / maintained Super 8 by Wyndham Lake City FLI will surely be back to stay here whenever I pass by here

The hotel rooms are NASTY The rooms are not cleaned properly We went into six different rooms and each room had at least two wolf spiders

There are cobwebs all over the rooms Whoever is cleaning the rooms aren’t doing it properly I have never written a bad review about an establishment but I want to warn you not to book this hotel The top of the doors are open to the outside so gnats and flys were flying around the rooms as well I traveled with my young children and they were grossed out and felt uncomfortable even standing in the room Christine (the front desk lady) was extremely nice and understanding about this issue

A small, private RV Park that is nestled in a beautiful wooded area The owner “Deb” is a super nice person, very accommodating and keeps the park exceptionally clean The price is great, has 50 amp service, some sites are full hookup but there is a dump station and a fresh water fill area

Loved this hotel It had some neat little amenities to make me extra comfy for the night You can dim the alarm clock entirely, shades box out the whole window, and the bedside tables and lamps have outlets for a phone charger

The hotel was very clean We used mobile check-in and check-out so I can’t really speak to the level of customer service, however, we were greeted by all staff members we encountered during our stay If you’re planning to use this as an extended stay hotel the room has a mini kitchen complete with fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, plus all the essential dishes in a kitchen

As Hilton Diamond members, we have stayed at many Hilton affiliated hotels in the US The Lake City Hotel is one of the best Hilton hotels we have stayed in recently It’s not because it’s a new building

Really clean, well maintained, and friendly staff It is the only hotel that was kept clean and the washing machine and dryer did not break down during the long road trip While we were having breakfast, the Old Lady was constantly tidying up the surroundings and asking if we were lacking anything The front desk staff was also very friendly This is a hotel I would like to give more than 5 stars

Run down, outdated, no longer own by Marriott (under new ownership and licensed Marriott hotel) Our first room had a musty smell, the shower had mold & mildew in it, and hair in the sink The front desk attendant was very kind and happily moved us into a new room

Supposed to be pet friendly; however their are ant hills all over their grassy areas I’m part of the Marriott loyalty program and supposed to get late checkout Twice I was denied but they could accommodate if I wanted to book an extra night

Doesn’t make sense other than to get more money out of people I’ve never been denied late checkout before Housekeeping and the front desk clearly don’t communicate because I extended an extra night and housekeeping knocked on my door at checkout to remind me to check out Hallways are super hot and humid where my glasses fogged up the minute I stepped into it When I did leave, no one was at the front desk (this was 7pm or 8pm) I have tried contacting them other ways to get checked out and still have yet to get through

I gave a 4 star because the mattress was too hard for me, but I had my own pillow ,and along with their pillows, I had a good night’s sleep the room was very nice, clean and provided the amenities needed the breakfast was delicious! Went to Lake City from St Pete and we stayed 3 nights with my 3 year old toddler and my brother with his 2 girls The staff was super nice and helpful with extra towels and easy clothes when needed

One of the friendliest resorts we’ve been to, the staff consists of mostly volunteers who help keep the place running and very clean Lots of rules which work for them but not our cup of tea with limited food available only on weekends and a drive to outside dining We didn’t have cooking facilities in our cabin but did have a coal grill out front but we were told there wasn’t one, so we didn’t bring anything to cook

Our cabin was comfortable with a good bed, bathroom with a shower stall, mini fridge, eating table but no microwave We had one of the two pet allowed cabins that smelled of pets to us because we don’t have any pets, lol They also have park camper trailers available for rental The pool area is nice, you can bring your own drinks and beer in cans only but you have to leave your cooler on the other side of the fence which is still a mystery to us hence the rules Liked it here and that they honor military past & present with many displays around the park Thank you for a pleasant stay!
