Recently updated villas with a contemporary decor and a country style feel We were unfortunately moved from our original reservation of a King Villa to a smaller Queen Villa The bed size is not the only difference between the villas, the overall size of the King Villas are nicer, larger and brighter

The Grand Geneva Resort is under extensive renovations and the lobby bar, outdoor space and lobby restaurant are all currently closedWe played both golf courses- they were amazing and in fantastic condition It was not busy, at times it felt as if we were on this course alone Had an awesome time and the staff was very attentive and helpful Grand Geneva is a great boyz getaway and also a great family getaway

The room was gorgeous Everyone was super helpful Bathroom was amazing

Maybe a little dirty from some of the construction going on Location was good, walking up and down the hill to the car wasn’t too inconvenientThe thing that irritated us was that there doesn’t seem to be much sound proofing of the room We could hear conversation level talking from the room above us They weren’t partying or being loud, they were just talking and it was keeping us up Footsteps also were very obvious and annoying

Nadine Haufe

Loved the resort and the room! Absolutely stunning! However we came here for a couples getaway, as well as get some piece and quiet from the kids that we don’t get at home Unfortunately, we had small children above us who were running and jumping very late through the night, who also woke us up at dawn Very unfortunate, however would love to come back and try again, as the rooms and grounds are beautiful!

I had a pretty nice stay here Nothing bad enough to remove stars over I must’ve gotten one of the updated rooms since everything was clean and in working order

A negative was there was a strong scent of trash in the room which was unpleasant I could not figure out what caused it The staff were friendly and thorough with the check in process etc The bed was comfortable There were plenty of towels The kitchen was clean and the refrigerator kept things cold The jacuzzi tub worked and the water temperature was fine The fireplace worked well There was quite a bit of noise in the hallway but after midnight it calmed down It’s spring break so that may be why Great location I Definitely enjoyed my stay and I would stay again

Levette88

There are many pros and many cons to this property I’ll start with the pros The room we booked was very spacious and I loved the full kitchen

The pool area was nice and my niece had fun in the small game room Our room was decently cleaned, the bed sheets and pillow cases looked and smelled fresh and clean and most staff we delt with was friendly The cons I say our room was decently clean because we had carpet in our room that had a lot of stains on it We got an older outdated room and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub but the paint around the rim was chipped and had a black substance around the rim The only air conditioner in the room was located in the living room which made cooling the bed room sleeping area a little difficult, I had to bring a fan from my vehicle just to cool off The walls and door are pretty thin so you can hear almost everything Thankfully guest were not very loud during our stay All in all I would stay again, but would try and request a more updated room

Devin Bohbrink

The staff was super friendly and professional The room we had was completely updated, super clean, with soft comfortable beds We were planning to use the jetted tub, and the water DOES NOT get hot enough

We tried filling it twice, all the faucets were hot except the tub/shower I’m guessing this is a safety feature so people don’t burn themselves, but it makes the tub completely useless We even tried to boil a few pots of water but nothing worked so we had to scrap the idea Otherwise, the place is nice for a quick little getaway We enjoyed having basically a full apartment This is a place for families so noise is to be expected and it didn’t bother us at all If you want a SILENT evening, don’t stay here and don’t complain to the staff because they can’t control people’s kids and again it’s meant for families

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here This was our first time in Lake Geneva and we will be coming back! We liked the location, it was walking distance to downtown There were a variety of eateries to choose from

I wish we would have enjoyed our balcony but there were too many mosquitoes due to the heat and rain Overall, a great experience!

San d

The hotel is very nicely located right opposite the lake, and there are rooms with balcony facing the lake The view from the balcony is beautiful The hotel does not have any breakfast or restaurant but there are places around the hotel for that

It is just about a few minutes walk from the heart of downtown Parking is convenient with both around the hotel and underground

Fiona

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was friendly The reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because some things in the room weren’t well maintained (ice bucket with a broken handle, water damage or something that rotted away the bottom of the bathroom vanity, the fan that pulls air from the bedroom to the living room did nothing) It was still a nice room for what we paid, in February, but if I had paid summer rates I probably would have been disappointed with the issues I mentioned above

Love it here, last year came for our 25 year anniversary – wanted to be right in town and it was so fun Staff is amazing, pool and sauna fun – restaurant awesome The view is beautiful

Can’t wait to come again Great night sleep – super comfyNot loud at all which I was worried about being in town on the Lake – I come to relax and I sure did – would highly recommend The security guard man there is so nice to talk to and welcoming Ginos owner is so nice – comes to tables and talks to guests like family

Becky Hart

I gave the hotel a 3 star due to the service of the people at the desk The hotel itself was nice, clean and very close to walking downtown Lake Geneva and the beach Our room was clean and we enjoyed the balcony overlooking the lake

The service however was not good! The front desk could not check us in early at all They could not let us check out later since we didn’t get to check in early Then when I said I was going to leave a negative review all of a sudden they were able to let us check out at 1 instead of 11 So we basically check in at 4pm out by 11am not much of a stay for the price We decided to go to another place The lady in the parking lot showing people were to park was the only staff that was actually nice and helpful We wouldn’t stay again just due to the service

Scott Cheek

Highly recommend the Lake View rooms The view is fun to see the lake, sunset and sunrise, along with general relaxing on the balcony We keep choosing Harbor Shores when we visit Lake Geneva and always enjoy our stay

Room is always clean and bed is comfy The staff at the desk is friendly and can provide suggestions and recommendations for the areaAlso, when staying at Harbor Shores, you get a 10% discount at Gino’s East Pizza on the first floor

So the service is amazing There’s little to no waits on anything The rooms do have a full fridge and stove top! Just no baking oven

They also provide you with silverware, dishes, pans and a dish washer They will also provide you with stuff to clean your dishes There is a stable next to thus that you can ride horses at for a fee At the resort itself there’s 2 places to eat, a small gift shop store, Arcade, Water park indoor and pool outside They also have a craft room for the kids in the morning My only downfall is the beds aren’t horrible but they aren’t comfy, end up being sore in the morning They couches pull out and our son loves it I still recommend this place! 4 hours was worth the drive coming here 🙂 oh also there’s hot tub in the pool area and whirlpool tubs in the rooms

Anita Chaudhari

I don’t typically like to write negative review but feel in this case, it was necessary We were really excited about our trip to Lake Geneva with our 5 year old twin boys It was our first vacation since the pandemic and couldn’t wait to do some kids friendly activities at Timber Ridge

The concept and overall layout is great but the resort / hotel is extremely run down The rooms just felt dirty and we saw several bugs in our room during our stay (we were there for five days) The carpet was old and stained The room had a weird odor and there were random markings / spots on the walls The table and banister were very sticky (I went to the local Target and purchased disinfecting cleaner to wipe things down myself) The TV downstairs wasn’t working the last few days of our trip and there were only two kids channels that were offered! Isn’t this place meant to bring a family with kids so why would you not offer more channels for kids? I felt the same way about the water park It was a very good size and they had plenty of space for the little ones but I can see dirt on the bottom of the pool It just made me cringe while I was there and wish they would spend more time and attention on the cleanliness of the property including the water park The one good thing that I can say is that the lifeguards that were stationed inside as well as outside were extremely attentive and you would see them walking around making sure that everyone was remaining safe With two little ones running around, I really appreciated that In closing, I wouldn’t return and stay at Timber Ridge as it was very expensive and didn’t feel like the loft we stayed in was worth the kind of money they ask for Also, what’s up with the no cleaning the rooms during our stay? I don’t know if that’s a COVID thing but I was extremely disappointed that they don’t clean the room during our five day stay And the restaurants left a lot to be desired This property and concept could be so good if they would just upgrade the accommodations, cleaned up the water park and offered some good quality restaurant options We were extremely disappointed and I found myself relieved when we getting ready to leave the hotel knowing that we were heading home I absolutely loved Lake Geneva but next time, we will find a better quality place to stay in

Ariel Lopez

First time here and we can’t wait to go back It’s the little things that added up to a good time: the place was super clean from the hallways to the parking lot Waterpark was perfect for me and the 6yr old

The bbq restaurant was amazing! Friendly staff They also offer pony rides, horseback riding and a small petting zoo Also really liked that every room was a suite with an outdoor patio

OK, so I’ve never been here as a customer, but I’ve visited here over the years as a vendor (band member) The staff are always great to work with They’re always so nice and helpful

The food they cater at events is always good It’s just a great resort vibe to be here They have this big new party boat that they rent out Our band played on it for a party this week as it drove around the lake Super fun and unique experience!

Daniel Secedi

Beautiful waterfront views throughout the entire resort We enjoyed a 3-day weekend in the winter with plenty of indoor walking around the large loop of buildings connected with hallways The indoor pool is great, especially if you have kids

The hot tub is a nice addition There is also a spa Although the Frontier restaurant was closed, the Lookout Bar was an adequate substitute along with the café They have a wide variety of different sizes and types of rooms in the various lodges

Sarah Halloway

I stayed here with my family as a nice getaway It was fine enough The decor was nice, the arcade was tiny and the air hockey table took so

e of our money without giving us a puck to play with The pool and hot tub were fine too Nothing terrible happened and things were clean Just a little pricey for what was available, in my opinion

My friend and I stayed last weekend for a birthday girls weekend and the location was perfect! It was within walking distance to everything We had a balcony that overlooked the creek and the lake and it was so nice The rooms were perfect with an in-suite kitchen and separate room for the bed

The staff was very nice We also loved the 24 hr coffee bar in the lobby and the soup! They have attention to detail that makes your stay special! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Andrew Pierson

TLDR: Take the owners advice, make a reservation with big business and don’t support small businesses (or at least this one)After reading some other reviews I’m glad to find out I’m not the only person who had to deal with a bad “owner” experience Due to covid exposure and not wanting to spread a viral infection around to other guests or people, we could not make our reservation and I knew finding out the week of would require a conversation with customer support as I did read the policy that states 14+ day cancellations only

I did not expect nor really want to cancel my visit but to re-arrange it to work for another date I figured it was worth a shot and if it’s not possible so be it I however was not ready for the phone call from a “owner” regarding my reservationWhat started as just a question ended with a supposed owner getting angry and frustrated at me for made up reasons they decided to conjure up This person obviously cared very little about customers and more about the money This was validated when they took pretty much the entire conversation as me personally attacking them On top of this I was told that I should support big businesses over small ones if I wanted to have coverage/insurance for a reservationThey literally told me not to support them even though they also stated how if they did this kind of cancellation for everything they would have to close and they had no availability to move or re-arrange my stayAgain I was not speaking to customer service because I thought I deserved a refund but more because I wanted to verify there was nothing they could do for me as it doesn’t hurt to ask the question and I mainly would’ve wanted to move it over cancel it This review is solely based on a return phone call I received from the owner and her handling of situation and how poorly of a job she did

Willow Jergensen

I don’t know how we have never heard of this hotel before we stayed here! This will be me and my husband’s get away spot from now on if we need a get away for the weekend First off the lobby is very cozy and super friendly They had fresh baked cookies and water for us when we walked in

When we walked into our room it was AH-MAZING! A goodie bag waiting for us with more cookies, water bottles, lotion, and chips They had the towels on the bed in a cute folded heart and the bathroom was huge! They also have a swimming pool and hot tub, we didn’t have enough time to use it though (Next time) And unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures but just take my word, this is the best spot in LG It’s located downtown, you can walk everywhere from there and leave your car in the parking garage that’s free for guests 10 stars from me!

The place is lovely We had the Luxury Lakefront King Loft It was so spacious and beautifully laid out

The jacuzzi tub was placed upstairs with a fireplace that we loved They do serve their breakfast in a bag which unfortunately is loaded with sugar I think better options needed for people who can’t consume food with added sugar The issues we had with the room were the candles needed new batteries, dirty stain down the middle off a chair, the sliding door to the shower either got stuck and wouldn’t open or it came off the track But the worst was the water smelled like metal So I could not enjoy a shower, brush my teeth, or the jacuzzi I’m sure these things will get fixed But next time we will find a B&B that serves breakfast with the same price that we paid for

Shannon Richardson

This was my second time staying here The first time was in February When we got there the pool was closed! I asked about it and they said it was supposed to be fixed that weekend

That never happened I thought it was very unprofessional to not let the people know before they arrived The ice machine was not working for majority of our stay The hotel is a bit run down, but it is clean They have the most comfortable beds and bedding The views are just amazing! I learned they have new owners I’m hoping they are going to make things right and fix these issues I also hope they will open the restaurant and serve a true breakfast for being a bed and breakfast

Emily Collins

The air old conditioner is not working It’s 85 degrees out today and our room was very uncomfortable when we checked in at 6:30 We thought that we could let it run and then maybe it would get colder but when we got back to the room it was still hot

The lobby is closed at 8 so we can’t do anything about it I’m also 8 months pregnant so it’s very hard for me to get a good nights rest when it’s this hot in the room The water temperature is either too hot or too cold, the pressure is weak, there’s chipped paint and holes on the wall that need touched up I was really hoping to like this place when we pulled up because of the view…but the room is subpar for the price I feel like we need to get the room discounted Also the pool has a tarp on it and I was looking forward to swimming and we couldn’t do that The pictures on there website are very slim for some reason as well I was just really hoping for more especially because we came here for a baby moon

The hotel was fantastic! We had a suite on the 3rd floor with a soaker tub It was incredibly clean, the view was unbeatable I would stay here again in a heartbeat All the employees we interacted with were very friendly and always engaging in conversation

Deducted 1 star for food in the restaurant, I would highly recommend not eating there I saw the other negative reviews on the food but I thought I’d take a chanceThe crab cakes were tasty, but the steak, chicken and pasta left much to be desired The main courses were very bland The staff in the restaurant were so kind and attentive thoughI am so grateful that a hotel like this exists with impeccable customer service and friendliness I will definitely book here again when it’s warmer so I can take advantage of the balcony! Thank you to everyone there that made our stay enjoyable

Nikki D

Arrived yesterday and was greeted promptly by a friendly desk clerk The room was ready and was very clean! The view was amazing Great job to the housekeeping team

I made the mistake of leaving the screen door open on the patio and a million bugs checked in on the ceiling The clerk immediately moved me to another room without hesitation and gave that room to the bugs for the night Dinner in the Grandview was excellent, nice atmosphere and excellent views The checkout process was quick and the clerk thanked us for staying Great atmosphere and great customer service I will definitely be back

Judy

Went here for our anniversary and it was wonderful! We had a room with a view of the lake and got to see the sunset from our balcony It was a very relaxing weekend Make sure you have dinner at the restaurant, food was wonderful with very tender steak

😋 It’s also not in town, which we really liked because it was so peaceful and quiet Very beautiful and clean Inn We will returnThe ride to town was short, but make sure if you go you pay for parking Signs are not well posted everywhere so if you think you’re parking where you don’t have to pay, you’re wrong We learned the hard way with a ticket plus a service charge

I certainly haven’t taken enough photos to do justice to this beautiful resort I genuinely was too busy relaxing and taking in the beauty of everything the resort had to offer It is a perfect place for romantic, family, friends or whatever getaway you need

Lake Geneva is a beautiful place, so there is a lot you can do there I gave the service a 3 star, mainly because of issues at the pool and change rooms The whirlpool was not clean, I actually cleaned it before getting in The change room showers didn’t have soap and the dispensers were broken and had grayish green build up Other than that, the place, people and vibe is fantastic

Shelby Coleman

My husband and I stayed at the Abbey resort for an anniversary stay They allowed us to check in early for a small fee The room was a great size but the patio door was extremely hard to shut

The room also had two separate thermostats and one was hidden so for a couple hours the room was very hot (The hidden thermostat was set to heat in August) The bed was very uncomfortable It sunk down on the edge Thankfully we were only staying one night or we would have requested to move rooms The room did have a nice view of the outdoor pool and located just down the hall from the spa The resort had a nice looking bar/restaurant but it wasn’t open while we were there I anticipate they could make a large profit if they would open it up a little earlier They also have a cool little snack bar/coffee shop located in the lobby They have EV chargers located by the front door The employees were very kind and resourceful

Avita Desai Odoom

We stayed in a suite for our stay Things went wrong from the moment we arrived I called and requested early check in and was told we could come in at 2pm for our room

Upon arrival at 2pm, we were told our room was not ready and check in was at 4pm I explained that I had requested early check in and after front desk radioed housekeeping, I was told “your room will be ready in one hour” We returned to the hotel at 3:30pm and were told yet again, your room is not ready Very disappointing as we traveled 2 hours to come here and had 3 small children with usOnce we finally arrived to our room we noticed a few issues One pull out sofa would not open and engineering arrived to repair This same couch would not close when it was time to leave and again engineering came to repairThe bathtub drain was broken so our children couldn’t take a bath We opted for a shower but the faucet didn’t work properly and when shower mode was engaged, the faucet spewed out scalding hot water while the shower head was lukewarm This was not the experience my family was hoping forWhen I was getting ready to leave i called down to the front desk and asked if there were any luggage carts available and if someone could bring us one (We were previously told that if we needed anything luggage related, bellmen were available to help at no charge) The front desk sounded irritated by the request but said they’d send one up We waited close to 40 30 minutes and didn’t have time to spare since check out was nearing We managed to go to and from the car in multiple trips while carting all kids in and out I’m cold temps When we arrived to checkout, there were 3-4 bellmen standing around and one woman working checkout with a very long line The resort has gone downhill and I’m sad that this was our experience

Great location to see all Lake Geneva has to offer We had two adjoining rooms, and it was perfect for our family of five We spent every afternoon at the indoor pool

The staff is very friendly and helpful The trolley drivers were very kind to my kids

Kerry Krivoshein

Layout of room was strange

bedroom in front and kitchen and nook in back The roads that wind their way through this vast complex are not labeled well at all, which made it hard to find your way around Even a major road that goes in and out of the complex didn’t have a street sign Registration and visitor areas was great The employees were courteous and helpful

Donald Self

We booked through our Hilton Grand Vacations exchange and felt the property was top notch! We were blessed with a full kitchen with lovely modern appliances, washer and dryer, full bath and walk in shower as well as a wonderful garden tub that fits two Double sink in makeup area as well as in a seperate bathroom Very comfortable king bed and lovely updated furniture

Immaculate! Lovely modern furniture We had a beautiful balcony on the golfcourse with a sliding door off of our bedroom as well as a door to the patio off the livingroom A fireplace as wellThis was one of the older buildings but was wonderfully renovatedThe consLandscaping infront of building very overgrown with tall weeds and the elevater and concrete outside in the walkways very dirty and needed cleaning Walls were thin with the connecting room conversation easily heard, thank goodness they were not in their room muchEven with the couple cons i would not hesitate to stay again Highly recommend this place and cant wait to go back!!

I’ve visited Geneva National 5 times in the last 3 years and I must say it keeps getting better & better each time In June 2022, they opened the “Dance Floor”, a putting course which you can even play at night with friends & family There are 3 great courses that present different challenges to golfers of all abilities

The maintenance crew keeps the course in great shape, and the greens are immaculate My favorite is the Palmer course, which finishes with a memorable 3-hole stretch along Lake Como Once your round is over, head to the Turf Smokehouse and grab a beer & and a bite to eat while sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you need during your stay I can’t wait to go back again soon!

Fred Gade

This was an amazing golf experience I played the Trevino course Staff was helpful and friendly

Clubhouse and practice area excellent The golf course was incredible Turf Smokehouse after the round was a great spot to contemplate my near ace on 17 and enjoy some cheese curds and a cold Spotted Cow My new favorite place to play Highly recommend

Michael Strasser

This is 3rd year coming to Geneva National We have a large group (20 golfers) Each year it has been a better experience

From accommodations perspective, 12 people stay in the Inn while the other 8 in the villas Top notch The Inn has tons of space Rooms are large Beds are comfortable Villas are very new Great bathrooms in terms of space and showers From golf perspective, once all the details are given to club the staff makes everything easy Very organized Plus pro shop staff is great Literally just have to show up and all the little details are taken care of The little issues in the past have been improved on and are now positives For example, there really wasn’t a quick lunch solution if you didn’t want to be waited on by a server This year they have an outside station w hot dog and brats Perfect I could on but it is an A + resort I haven’t even commented on the courses as they have always been challenging but fair Above average condition

What a delightful resort!! The condo room my sister, niece and I shared for the weekend was homey and very comfortable The bed was so comfortable and had soft, warm bedding We enjoyed the pool and hot tub

It was very conveniently located There are some great restaurants close by and it is maybe 15 min from Lake GenevaIt was so pleasant to have a private patio to ourselves! The only complaints we could find were that the parking lot is rather small so it is very hard to find a parking spot, even though we had a handicapped placard Also, my sister was unimpressed by the coffee available for the roomsBut the staff were great! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful The facilities are great and we will definitely be back!!

Amanda Ryman

We had a magical time at the resort! Our condo was adorably decorated, the staff was so friendly, the location was good, and the lake was beautiful The pools (both indoor and outdoor) were perfect for our family I highly recommend this resort

The value was great and it was so nice to have a kitchen and living room to spread out while we were visiting our favorite lake area

Michael Stephanidis

We had a very nice stay here Rooms were good size with a full fridge and griddle Plates and silverware were lacking

We had room on the far side from the lake, but balcony was nice Great view from the outdoor pool There is Cornhole outside near the water also Indoor pool and spa are nice to have for a rainy day Arcade needs to be updated

We stayed at the bed and breakfast, and it was just perfect The suite was clean, cozy, and so cute! We stayed during a snow storm so we couldn’t get out much to see Lake Geneva, but we will definitely be back to stay again in warmer months to see more of the town! Staff was out salting really regularly to make sure the stairs up to the suite were safe and the parking lot was plowed frequently to keep it drivable The breakfast was delicious, too!

Katie Johnson

The Lazy Cloud is a lovely, cozy, and quiet retreat My husband and I stayed for a few nights after our wedding, and it was the perfect place to unwind The room was so thoughtfully decorated and stocked, and the staff was very friendly

Breakfast each morning was filling and well prepared We will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone who asked!

My partner and I loved our stay here We stayed 2 nights in April and will definitely be back The cottage itself was very comfortable and had a lot of attention to detail

It was nice to have our privacy and still know the staff would be around if we needed anything The close walk to downtown was great as well The breakfast that was brought each morning had plenty of options and everything tasted amazing The vegan options were carefully selected and delicious We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Lake Geneva

Ailysh Cooper

This place is PERFECT They have everything anyone could want We had wine and cheese included with our stay and it was waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived

The breakfast baskets were great The house was spotless and comfortable They have good temperature controls and a nice bathroom and kitchen area Plenty of towels, mugs, etc They included tea and a kettle in the room which made me happy since hotels never remember to include that Downtown is a short walk away, so you can avoid paying for parking I’m recommending this place to everyone I know!
