We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Inn at Court Square Candace was so warm and friendly and her interior design talent is impeccable The inn is beautiful yet so homey

We had our eight month old with us and Candace was so sweet with him Other inns have stated that babies are not allowed and I really appreciate that this one is kid friendly! We hope to return and cannot recommend this lovely place enough Candace also fixed a delicious breakfast! Our stay far exceeded our expectations Thank you, Candace and team!

Avid, avid traveler so have seen my fair share of hotels Was really looking forward to giving the Graduate brand a try — and unfortunately an all-around awful experience on our weekend stayWhen we checked in, we were given keys and a room number (written clearly on the card)

We go up to “our” room, and find that…someone else was staying in that room We quickly close the door and go downstairs to get a new room since we, uh, just walked in on a room where others were clearly staying Good example and reminder to always keep your room door locked! What a weird mistake on the front desk’s endAfter we get to our room, we find it’s not very clean Hair in the sink and shower, floors are dirty in various spots, and even a half finished box of wine in a drawer?Room overall felt pretty dated and eclectic (in a negative way) The game room floor was pretty out of date as wellOnly giving two stars because front desk seemed helpful and the rooftop outside deck was niceDefinitely won’t be visiting this “four-star hotel” again

Henry Davies

Great staff, particularly Matthew and Patrick Hotel has a great rooftopHowever, rooms are tired and could do with thicker doors and walls (for better soundproofing)

The third floor is also in front of the parking lot and some of my family reported having headlights flash into their room into the early hoursThe property needs investment to match the calibre of care provided by the staff and to justify the prices

Blaine Stewart

I don’t understand the negative reviews of this place Not trying to diminish anyone’s experience or opinion, but my recent stay was superb From the room itself — with the charming décor details and very comfortable bedding to the rooftop restaurant’s tasty snacks and drinks, I really felt like I was staying someplace special and not cookie cutter

However, the best part of visit was each and every interaction with the staff members From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the lady working the coffee bar in the lobby, everyone was kind and welcoming I will not hesitate to book a room at Graduate Charlottesville the next time I am in the area

I have stayed at the Dinsmore twice now and had lovely experiences both times Last year, we used the front room for our family-only Covid friendly wedding ceremony It was wonderful and the hospitality is amazing

This year, we stayed again for the weekend while we had our big wedding and used the Jefferson Suite for my bridesmaids to get ready Veda was very professional and welcomed us personally She always has her sweet pup with her, which is cute, but we are both allergic and were surprised she let him follow us into our cleaned room At the end of our stay, our card on file was charged without us getting to look at the final bill, which was a little disappointing as we would have liked to change the card that would be charged We were finally able to do that after some back and forth with Veda about it, which was nice, but it seemed like we were really bothering her for asking

Evan McMillin

Very cute and hospitable Inn Stayed two nights and had a lovely time The staff was on top of everything and the room was very intimate and functional

Parking is not an issue and the downstairs brunch restaurant is phenomenal and included in the stayThey contacted us with directions well ahead of time and worked to swap our downstairs room with an upstairs room to accommodate an older couple staying there We were comped the room upgrade and they even threw in a bottle of wine with the room

Lucille O

Wow! If you are traveling from NY to FL, take 81 S instead of I 95 and stay here! The rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable, and captivating! The proprietor, Veda, was a perfect host Her staff made you feel like you were the only one there Oh, and breakfast was out-of-this-world delicious

We recommend the blueberry scones with peach jam, the bananas foster French toast, and the fried green tomato blt No need to stop at Starbucks The endless coffee at breakfast was rich and full-bodied They even offer oat milk or almond milk in addition to half and half Our server Emmy was attentive and personable Enjoy your stay! We did and can not wait to return!

Was traveling with spouse and teen Got upgraded to a suite which was fantastic My teen loved having his own room with TV and bathroom

Breakfast was standard, but always appreciated Outside traffic was slightly noisy in the morning, but expected if staying downtown Suite was fairly clean, but I did find a half-filled water bottle on the floor near the chair in the master bedroom Overall a good stay

Crystal N

Clean, sleek and stylish hotel that’s kept in immaculate condition Stayed last weekend from Friday to Sunday and everything was perfect The property is very beautiful for a family oriented Residence Inn property, the lobby well styled, the front desk very friendly and welcoming

Our room was on 7th floor and it was sparkling clean, smelled fresh, everything looked in good condition The hallway walls and carpet all clean and smelled fresh The GM Ms Regina Dodd even reached out to us to follow up on our room request and she was very courteous and welcoming Having been Lifetime Platinum Elite member (even Titanium at some point) we have stayed at hundreds of different Marriott properties all over US and other countries but this property Residence Inn Charlottesville Downtown has exceeded our expectations and standards on a number of levels Can’t wait to stay here on our trips while visiting our kid at U of V

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this hotel We were part of a large group for a long-term stay which proved to be challenging at times Shelley was fantastic

We make a yearly trip with friends to Charlottesville and always like to try a new B and B This year we stayed here and might have to break our rule and come back! Three of us are on a plant-based diet, and they made the best breakfast that any of us had ever experienced This place is clean, has excellent bedding and amenities, and the location is close to many great wineries

Highly recommend!

Sue & Bob Deobil

Bob and I have been staying at B & B’s for over 35 years We have seen and experienced it all! THIS B & B, however, is over the top! We stayed in the Madison Suite which was elegant and spacious No detail was overlooked with two TVs, heated towel racks, the very best of bedding, large bathroom, fresh flowers, port wine and specialty chocolates every night

The suite was modern and very accommodating We had three nights of bliss Kathy made the most wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and she and David provided gracious hospitality We enjoyed our privacy with our own deck and a wonderful, next to nature environment The quietness added to the ambiance to enjoy the moment Thank you both! We will return!

The hosts Doc & Paula and their staff were welcoming and efficient The grounds and accommodations were lovely & it felt like stepping back in history for a very relaxing 3 nights The gourmet breakfasts were amazingly delicious

I chose to eat down stairs in the inn rather than in my room so I could have the company each morning of Colette and Rocky, their very friendly dogs I highly recommend this B&B!!! I look forward to another stay in the future!!!

Tom Long

Prospect Hill was an incredible experience The property is located about 15 miles outside of Charlottesville, Va The main house and detached buildings were constructed from 1699 onward

The cottage we stayed in was built around 1796 but had been completely updated and had all the modern conveniences but has the look , feel and character of something much older The owners were so friendly and open and you could sense the pride they had in their property Every morning we had breakfast delivered to our room The food was delicious All in all , a truly great experience We would highly recommend a visit to Prospect Hill!

Michele Wagner

This is a definite MUST for a relaxing & tranquil getaway Doc was very kind in getting us settled and showing us around the property The main house is just beautiful and cozy

We stayed in a stand alone cabin on the property and would only suggest that you ask if there are any rooms above you! Due to the time period and age of these cabin’s you can hear every step, toilet flush etc While I am not aware of the main house rooms, there was no TV in our cabin which wasn’t an issue, just an FYI Also, no night stands in our cabin next to the bed so made it just a little difficult to have coffee in the room The breakfast was amazing, fresh and hot! The property is safe and no doors are locked so you feel like you are in another world! Just lovely!

Michael Mariner

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Oakhurst The hotel bears this quaint, flamboyant demeanor; as if I had traveled in time and to the correct dimension The room was finished nicely, clean, spacious, and vibrant

The area is relatively close to many attractions, which was ideal But lastly, what really made this stay most captivating was the staff Companies do not understand how having staff that appreciates and enjoys where they work carries such precedence with customers You can tell that the staff treat the hotel like their own home The entire experience was a breath of fresh air and I would do it again

Natalie Tatum

We had the best stay at the Oakhurst Inn The rooms are basic but nicely appointed, and it was convenient to have the salt water pool, full bar and delicious cafe all right there What really made our stay was the incredible staff

Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful Chris was at the front desk most of our stay and always went above and beyond We also enjoyed meeting Reagan behind the bar! We hope to be back soon!

Matt Penman

Nice place, great staff, they are great at the valet service The bed was comfortable, updated bathroom, nice atmosphere The only issue we had was with the air conditioner, as it had to be reset multiple times, the room was 80 degrees, we were tired and I had surgery early in the morning

So, I was cranky (I deleted my earlier review) The following night, they were sure to have the air conditioner working I wish I could have enjoyed the Monday jazz, I sure it was great I would go back but I think the air conditioning needs an upgrade

We stayed two nights at the Quirk for a wedding held at the hotel The hotel is super cute (pink themed but tasteful) and lives up to its name Our room was spacious and clean, but the closet is small

The room had bottled water, coffee, and tea It also had a steamer, which was a nice addition The bed was very comfortable and they had a white noise machine! The staff was great, and the rooftop has amazing views

Jesse Chapman

I randomly picked this hotel based on it’s name alone Very good call to spend the night here From opening lobby to the roof top bar, just a solid performance all around

The room was spacious and modern The rooftop bar has open air spaces as well as a cool retro vibe bar insideGreat location for local eateries too check out the tapas place across the streetAll in all, I would gladly stay here again

R Ξ Ξ D

This is the best hotel I have stayed at in a while The design and aesthetics are extremely coherent, modern, and soothing We were upgraded to a balcony suite (booked through AMEX Hotel Collection) and the room was incredible

Very nice hotel with gracious staff Very clean suites, with thorough pandemic precautions Dog-friendly with a reasonable extra fee & I was told carpets are shampooed between guests

Reasonable price, easy parking, can walk to Whole Foods if you want to cook The free breakfast is good considering the challenges of a buffet with an indeterminate number of guests I loved the sausage and the chef was helpful & friendly! The dining room is huge and airy for those concerned about ventilation and maintaining distance I’ve stayed here twice and will again

Raquel

Very spacious rooms, all of which have full kitchenettes with refrigerator, stove and microwave Friendly, helpful staff We enjoyed the pool and hot tub immensely

Construction was happening during the day on some rooms, but all of the workers were very kind and considerate and it stopped well before 5 One of the workers helped me with my cart of stuff which I was trying to push while holding a toddler Will definitely stay here next time we’re at UVA

sannia delphonce

This hotel is located in a great location, and the service was great, but those are about the only positives I have about the hotel The room I had was extremely dated The carpet smelled, the couch was dirty and had holes in it, the bathroom had mildew around the bathtub, and the AC seemed to barely work

The breakfast was lackluster, and they were out of a lot of stuff that never got restocked According to my app, when I checked in I was supposed to get some water and a snack for being a gold member, which I wasn’t offered The coffee was good at least The service was good because they allowed me to park my car during the day after I’d already checked out They also offered a complimentary shuttle, and when I forgot something in my room they went and found it for meBut yeah, the hotel needs some MAJOR upgrades overall

cynthia MacDonald

Very nice facility As Always very attentive staff

No makeup magnifying mirror in your bath rm for the senior lady travelers! A must plsDiana from reservations was absolutely fantastic Your appear to have a top notch staff! I sincerely hope as management you appreciate them!!!!!!

Texas Storm

Steps from the train station yet you don’t hear them rumbling by all the time Plenty of restaurant options nearby Rental car service 12 minute rideshare away

Digital check in and keys on point and ready when you arrive and possibly way before Very cool Clean, comprehensive breakfast Good options in the shop for honestly almost anything from food to sundries Like a 24 hour CVS downstairs Lobby thoughtfully designed so you feel the culture as soon as you arrive Tremendous staff Fitness center and laundry clean and often available Nice outdoor patio for relaxing or breakfast when it’s nice out Two options to enter the parking lot to (obviously access the) property so you can avoid all the traffic while enjoying the benefits of a corner location Not that it matters but pleasant looking people live next door so it’s nice walking out and about; even if you only go a few steps So accessible to the train station that if I wanted a rail only get away this is the obvious spot All the others even though they look close you need to look unsightly and lug your bags in front of everyone in the bar/restaurant district Will make you look so uncool Oh yeah, of course the rooms are spotless and thoughtfully laid out Bonus points for the bath gel, lotion *and* mouthwash I could go on and on even though I only stayed for 2 separate overnights You can technically just walk in and out and be all business but the staff are all so welcoming and nice

We stayed in a cabin on property, celebrating my mom’s birthday Having never been to the area before, we were swept away with how beautiful the scenery is, and although the cabins were a bit closer together than I imagined, it was still serene and quiet, and we could enjoy the peacefulness The activities and things they orchestrate for the families are a great addition, just knowing that they put families in mind is great

They also make sure your cabin is stocked with all the essentials that you’ll need, and when we arrived everything was neat and orderly And although I’m sure my son will tell you his favorite part was the pools, mine was definitely the horseback riding tour of property

Mindi Reedy

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had the best time We stayed in one if the yurts which was the most beautiful and peaceful experience we’ve ever had You can actually hear the rain and nature sounds through the yurt walls

The yurt is so beautifully designed and has everything you could want or need The resort and the yurt were immaculately clean We also enjoyed the horses on site The resort even left us chocolates and a card to celebrate our honeymoon

michele suddleson

Enjoyed a lovely respite from the DC area with family here The staff at this resort were very friendly and accommodating They provided me with a perfect spot to attend an all-day, virtual conference while my family enjoyed fun in our cabin

The updated cabin interior was attractive and well done I really enjoyed having a fireplace They did a good job clearing the snow from the roads and kept our stairs and walkway well salted in spite of a winter storm that blew through

We had a great weekend at Keswick The entire experience was great and we will likely visit again The hotel has just been renovated but more like rebuilt and it’s pristine and beautiful

The attention to detail in the planning and choice of materials and tradesmen used did not go unnoticed Beautiful workmanship and quality built into the structure will ensure it’s beauty for years to come This is not a hastily refurbished hotel Staff was wonderful Looking forward to the new spa

Hogeun Park

Five stars! this property will amaze you and beyond your any expectation From staffs at the front, marigold, and spotless clean room, my review cannot fully explain the level of satisfaction in my recent stay You know what! I quickly booked another stay in this May on the way back home

I am looking forward to seeing more warm weather in this May 🙂

Whatever you do DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED We were trying to celebrate a special occasion and that went out the window
