Greg S

Love this hotel Julie at the front desk is so helpful along with all the staff The breakfast lady is great it’s like having your mom in the kitchen

The pool area is wonderful, beds are nice The kitchen and living room have ample space It is in a great location easy in and out and central to the beach, Tampa and get right on the interstate and Sarasota is just a short drive

Juan Salazar

The place is great, but Michael at the front desk was amazing Such a courteous and helpful young man He really went above and beyond in assisting us

Then in breakfast in the morning, most places just throw some food out and leave guest to fend for themselves You Lady that was attending to the area was very attentive and kind, I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to get her name

Clard Frenz4eva

This was the most horrible stay as a diamond member Upon checking in at the front desk,we were greeted by an obnoxious smell like garbage from the carpet in the hallway Once we got to the room, we were welcomed by a roach in the kitchen

The pullout sofa and chair in the dining area was filthy and disgusting There was a soil on the mattress We arrived just before midnight, hence we remained overnight Upon checking out prematurely, I asked for the general manager who was “on a conference call” and was too busy to speak with me This speaks volumes about his professionalism Obviously, informing the front desk agent that we will be rewarded with points, was sufficient in addressing our concerns Noteworthy, we have yet to receive said points Please take your business to the Marriott a few blocks away if you want to sleep in a clean roomOne star for both front desk agents who were professional

Nice place to stay Loved the balcony overlooking the inner waterway Saw dolphins a couple mornings

Plenty of space and convenient location Easy walk to the beach Our only real frustration was a lack of washer and dryer and the fact that we couldn’t turn left into the parking lot Reasonable price for the week Small, but nice pool We would stay there again If you’re looking for a less expensive option as compared to the beachfront properties, check this place out

Samantha Reil

This hotel was absolutely amazing We stayed for a whole week and I wouldn’t wanna stay anywhere else We saw dolphins from our deck and got to watch cruises pass by

The pool and hot tub were fabulous The heated pool was an amazing perk We also got rides to the beach with their golf cart and that was the best I had pizza from the restaurant and it was so good!! The staff was so very kind and attentive The rooftop bar was absolutely amazing and we just loved the view of the bay The customer service was top notch I want to give a huge shout out to all the staff for all their hard work and dedication to this beautiful hotel💞Especially Alan!! Thank you again

Michelle Meade

The front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating from check-in to check-out Missy went above and beyond to help us feel at home! The resort is generally quiet and has everything you need on site (pool, VIBES bar, etc) including golf cart rides to the beach and Publix nearby

The location is ideal for people who don’t mind walking to nearby restaurants The suites are not that old and are starting to show a little wear and tear but nothing too major We were thankful to find the 2 bedroom setup as 2 adults traveling without kids Many accommodations we found had a room for a couple and another with bunks for kids It was ideal to have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms!! The sunsets were the best!!! The pool towels are great and fit around someone who is a bit larger! Overall, a great find for last minute travel plans We visited St Pete’s Pier and John’s Pass and would recommend both to any visitors

I usually have no issues with IHG hotels but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had Luckily we were only there one night Dirty dirty rooms!Upon check-in, the first room we were sent to smelled like someone had just been smoking in there

The cigarettes smell was very strong and I thought they accidentally sent us to a smoking room I called the front desk and the response when I said it smelled like someone had been smoking in there was “I’m not sure maybe it’s haunted” What a unprofessional and awkward thing to say We asked to switch roomsThe second room we were given smelled even worse Immediately upon walking in it smelled like bleach and chlorine There was also a small mold air purifying machine in there with words that literally said “warning, do not use when space is occupied” We told the desk again and the clerk said “oh yeah I forgot, I can just take out the machine” We said absolutely not We’re not staying in a room that has mold and reeks of bleach when we have 2 toddlers with usThe last room we were given smelled fine But all the rooms were dirty, especially in the bathrooms The showers had a film of dirt or sand on the bottom We all ended up wearing flip flops in there because we didn’t want to put our bear feet on the groundOverall I would sleep in my car before paying to stay at this hotel again

Joe Bullen

Danny at the front desk provided outstanding customer service I booked a room with a king-sized bed online However, the hotel had no more rooms with a king-sized bed, so he upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge

There was a burned out light in the room The room had a slight moldy smell that set me sneezing after showering Walls are thin so bass and conversation from other rooms does carry into your room Deducting a point for this factAlso, beds here are not nearly as comfortable as other Holiday Inn Express hotels Might go back to Doubletree again I just think this hotel might need updating Bathrooms were clean though

Greg S

This is such a great hotel and Danny at the front desk was so very helpful All the staff has be very nice and courteous This place is so clean and the up lighting in the rooms is amazing

The location is great for vacation you can be to the north or south end of the county in 20 minutes It’s also only about 20 minutes to Tampa or 45 minutes to Bradenton Thier breakfast is great also

The staff was friendly and helpful but the cleaning staff need to be fired Every surface starting from the elevator door, tiled floors to the furniture in the rooms have not been wiped in a long time I had to wipe down all the furniture in my room due to the visible finger prints ,dirt and dust

The bed linens appeared clean The rugs were filthy The rooms and furniture are visibly dated and the hotel has an “old” smell to it I would not stay here again We paid $180/night including taxes Not exactly cheap for this level of hotel The breakfast was also not great Pretty bland

Claudia Raye

The was by far the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed Well

I didn’t stay I left!!! I will NEVER go v to this hotel again I had an asthma attack when I walked in the room The cart was filthy, so filthy i didn’t want to put my clothes on it The outside looked like it never been cleaned ever It STUNK BADLY!!! Then the front desk person had the nerve to charge me for the room even though i couldn’t breathe in this nasty place

FloridaStateFan 2017

I stayed at this hotel before heading to Miami for a cruise, and all I can say is that it’s not really up to par with some other hotels within the regionOne positive aspect of the hotel is that the staff members are quite friendly; especially one of whom who just so happens to be an Atlanta Braves fan (Go Braves!!) Another great aspect of the hotel was its coffee

It didn’t as bad as I thought typical hotel coffee would The rooms themselves also looked quite innocent and clean, including the carpetThe main negatives that I have about the hotel just so happens to be within the bathroom and bed In my room, the bed sheets looked somewhat wrinkled and only had half pillows available The worst of the negative aspects took place in the bathroom, where I found small black hairs (some long hairs, too) inside the bathtub (“Bwaaa!” [Hank Hill])!Overall, this was not my ideal stay at a hotel in Florida; and I had better experiences in my past, especially at a hotel in Kennesaw, GeorgiaTo the staff members who DO see this review, I’m sorry if this sounded a bit harsh, but there are some things that you need to improve on

This Hilton was definitely one of the better Hilton properties I’ve stayed at recently Unfortunately, I’ve found that Hilton’s standards have declined DRASTICALLY ever since the onset of COVID-19, but this hotel thankfully has managed to preserve the Hilton standards I once knew and loved The property was impeccably clean

The room was drop dead silent at night and the bed and its linens were excellent I slept like a baby at this hotel My only critique that is NOT a fault of the hotel is that there aren’t many dining options nearby Most restaurants will be a 10-15 minute drive, so if restaurant proximity matters to you as a traveler you may want to consider somewhere else Nonetheless, I’d recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a resort This site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I’m sure! The staff at this location were all wonderful and hotel is beautiful Our Jr suit was very spacious and pretty modern The only thing I recommend is eating out The LuX restaurant is super expensive and tasteless We had a better breakfast at a local Cafe named Cosmos Other than that everything including the pool and the nature trail were beautiful Wish you would modify the pool hours since there is some people that can only go in at night

This was a very swanky and snazzy hotel I actually really enjoyed my stay there and would probably go back However they have the AC setting in the individual rooms locked at 68゚ So if you’re somebody who prefers it a bit cooler you will have to call down to the front desk and ask for it to be unlocked which I think is ridiculous

There are no ceiling fans in the room so there is no air circulation There are no ceiling fans in the room so there is no air circulation And I kept waking up too hot because at 68゚ it was too warm for meAt the time I did not know they were able to control it from downstairs all I knew was that I could not control it from upstairs Upon checking out the next morning I found out that all I had to do was called down and they would have unlocked it But again that seems very absurd to me why they would put a lock on the AC unit in each individual room just seems like a lot more work for the employeesFYI they do not have a market on site So if you get there extremely late like I did be prepared to go to bed hungry and/or thirsty I realize they do have other options such as a restaurant and lounge inside the hotel but by the time I arrived all of that was closed Also if you do not get there before before 1 AM they wthey will cancel your reservation Or at least that is what happened to me She was able to fix it in the end fortunately but most hotels in my experience do not my experience do not run their reports until about 4 AM Because if I realize I’m going to be late I typically call ahead and give them a heads up that I am still comingSo even though this wasn’t a horrible stay it could have been 10 times better

This property is absolutely gorgeous The rooms are super high-end and they definitely didn’t skimp on the details It’s not missing anything, as far as I’m concerned

It’s also extremely cleanThe beds are super comfortable, the accents in the room are very tasteful and well doneI would absolutely stay here again if I find myself back in the area

My children and I visit Tampa/Clearwater/St Pete at least once a year We love it! Each time we chose a Marriott because we love the high level of comfort and service When looking for a getaway for the boys who’ve worked so hard in school navigating the disruption of the Pandemic, etc

this hotel popped up Looked good so I booked Arrived and checked in as usual The person at the front desk told me they couldn’t use the card I had on file for the authorization No problem I used another card She said she couldn’t see the authorization on her computer I log into my bank and could clearly see the amount pending Showed it to the lady at the desk She spoke with another lady at the front desk After a brief discussion she asked for my card info to enter into the computerI told her to NOT run my card again I said it at least five times You do not have permission to run my card again That was yesterday Today I happened to check my account and they had run it again On yesterday So they waited until I walked away and ran it again I called from the restaurant where I was having dinner with my children to let the hotel know what had happened She had me on hold forever as if she was working on getting the manager The manager never got on the phone The person on the front desk had no solutions for me When I returned with my children and asked to speak with the manager on duty I’m told shes gone until morning Again no solutions and honesty her energy along with all others at the desk showed they could care less I’ve disputed it with my bank and will be at the front desk at 9AM to speak with this so-called manager So, if you travel often and are used to high levels of customer service this is not the place The hotel itself is basic, in what is a strip mall, with malfunctioning machines and the people clearly don’t know what they’re doing My youngest complained that the breakfast danish tastes old and both children said the OJ tasted like eggs I highly DON’T recommend this hotel They couldn’t care less about me or my children I can do better at a CourtyardCalled for bath towels and bath rugs were delivered Annoying And this fruit fly in the room is equally annoying

Great location and cute boutique in a historic building It’s within walking distance to numerous restaurants , museums, and parks The room and bathroom were spacious

The rooftop bar is pretty at sunset Some negatives are that the lighting is very dim and there is no privacy with the curtains open for light Breakfast was basic and never changed throughout the week The AC was very loud so bring earplugs

Andy Walburg

Beautiful rooms, large bathrooms but the noise outside the window, wow! All rooms have a window facing a narrow enclosed courtyard In that area is the entrance for the hotel, the entrance for the canopy bar, and and an area used for special events On a Friday or Saturday night there are lots of people having way too much fun so you better have ear plugs

Even with the windows closed it is very loud outside

Scott Davis

My wife and I stopped by with our dog for lunch and were immediately treated like family by Peter our waiter who offered our dog a bowl of water and promptly took our drink orders Peter was great and we thoroughly enjoyed his personality and recommendations The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was awesome although a bit hot outside in July

We will certainly come back

EDITED:This was my first experience with this hotel, so I wanted to write a reviewThe room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was nice and everything was clean There was a smell upon entering the room, which I’m not big on cleaning chemicals personally, but with what’s going on I understand that some hotels use them

The AC is very powerful so be wary if you put it on too cold, as there are no fan settingsThere is an $18 a day Valet, and the valet was quick and attentive when needing the car The front desk was helpful and nice when checking inThe pool had some leaves in it but was overall clean and was enjoyable to useThere were a couple of little things that happened, but overall I would definitely stay again

Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here I am a Marriott Gold Member and the hotel was very dated The first room I checked into had a dirty toilet seat and an air condition vent that sounded like a JET was taking off

I moved to a second room and at 3 am the SMOKE DETECTOR went off blaring then it happened again at 5 am They replaced the detector the next day I had to ask to be compensated and the front desk Manager Tanya was less than pleasant and not apologetic I was attending a business training at the hotel and there were ants all over the coffee machine and stale bagels and expired soda were served The employees helping out with the training were very friendly and helpful which was a bright side to the trip

Sam Singh

I was there at the beginning of the month in my monthly training at MGE… we got in super late after a 4 hour drive… I was very tiered when we got to the room we noticed it was a bit warm … long story short the AC was broken! Called the front desk and told them… not only did they immediately change our rooms but the brought the key to our door so we did not have to go back to the lobby!! In the middle of the night this was awesome

Schlandra Fall

Me and my family went here on a short vacation This was an experience we will never forget The bed was horribly uncomfortable, the pillows were to soft they did not support our necks my husband and I barley slept due to this issue

The ice maker on the floor was so dirty that I would never ever ever even think about getting ice from there They charged for the WiFi 1295 a day Parking was at a minimum because they are repaving the parking lot The restaurant does not have a kid friendly menu or reseasonable prices The room floors are hardwood so when room service came they should have sweept the floor but all they did was make the bed and put out new towels We decided that we will not stay here again when we go back to Florida

Stayed here with my partner during busy Pride weekend We were really surprised how decent the rate was for its prime location Loved that we could walk everywhere without driving the car once the whole weekend

It’s a really charming spot with a lot of history and excellent service Coffee downstairs in the morning was delicious and room was immaculate and very comfortable The only caveat I would say is because it’s a vintage property, don’t expect all the comforts of a modern cookie-cutter hotel But if you’re willing to give that up for a more unique stay, this inn is an excellent choice

Danny Beile

Old time hotel so no coffee maker microwave or fridge AC was an old window unit kinda noisy However the room was clean had a huge bed and nice bathroom with great water pressure

Had a really nice little coffee bar and beer and drinks at the bottom of the steps ( no elevator ) at the front door Everyone was very nice as well 10 minutes to the pier , nice location No pool either All and all I enjoyed it just know what you’re looking for b4 you book!

The bathroom was dirty and smelled of urine When we came down go let the staff know I was told they would be glad to tidy the room It would take more than tiding this room

The bathroom would take major scrubbing There were even dirty shoe tracks on the floor, but the worst was the toilet seat and the tile around the toilet I could not stand the smell When I told her it would need more than just a tidy up she said she would be glad to change our room and gave me a key, but she had to explain to me that there would be a $75 change fee That’s when I raised my voice and said why would you charge me for changing my room when she gave us a dirty room She immediately took the key she had given me out of my hand and asked me to leave When I told her this was no way to do business she told me to leave She told me to pack all my things and leave I have traveled all over the world and US and have never been treated like this She said if I did not leave right away she would call the police I did not want to escalate things any more so I packed up and left We found a great place just two blocks down the road for less money, very updated, updated (which this wasn’t) larger and a beautiful bathroom which did not smell of urine and a large enough vanity to put more than a comb Avoid the Cordova at any price

We’re staying here again next time we visit St Pete This is an absolutely fabulous spot with friendly staff, modern feeling rooms, a fantastic shower, and the best location as far as taking a nice stroll down Central Ave and hitting all the bars/restaurants on foot

Everything was clean and fresh and just comfortable If you’re planning on spending most of your day “out” this is definitely the kind of place you want to book — and it’s still more than relaxing enough when you need to bunker in and rechargeAlso, I can’t not compliment the absolutely fabulous Valet service here Yes you “have” to use the valet if you’re parking at the hotel itself — but these guys are upbeat, friendly and always have a smile Also, its clear they love their cars If you have a “nice” car, they’re happy to talk about it with you and reassure you it’s being well looked afterDownsides?: Being a “less-frills” hotels you might miss some of the extra drawer/closet space You might find yourself waiting just a touch for the elevator because of the way it’s set up (hint, once “inside” you can take the stairs to go from floor to floor”) Also being right off Central means you’re going to hear the drunk party people stumbling about late on a weekendSurprise Upsides?: The main floor (3) is absolutely stocked with guest things to do, like play pool or arcade games, as well as just grab a bite to eat or stare out the windows Also, see the earlier comment about the Valet Worth tipping these guys extra just for great service!

I just want to say Sandra and Dillon and the rest of the staff here were awesome You couldn’t have a better staff for the location of the hotel down the street from the Rays stadium! They are very customer service oriented It was my sons birthday and they went above and beyond to make him feel special

This is my second year anniversary staying here and I highly recommend this location It’s walking distance from restaurants and convenience store And anything else the people here are great!Thank youMom

I would say the best quality overall for Hilton hotels I’ve stayed in over past month Staff, Atmosphere, room quality off the chain Plus when I entered room was greeted with my name on the TV screen

Very detailed orientated Stand up shower had dispenser of Body wash, Shampoo and conditioner Next to bathroom sink was a dispenser of Hand lotion and soap Giant Smart TV 65″ at least with Guide programmed already to let you know what’s on every channel and how many minutes left on show being viewed

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time

They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast The other positives made up for any negatives The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

Stayed here with the family a few nights Great place in downtown Very close and walkable to the pier, and many other things

The pool was nice I would have liked to take a water bottle to the pool deck for me and my daughter but I guess that isn’t allowed, which i suppose i understand I wouldn’t want bunch of rowdy folks sneaking liquor in either The room was nice and the staff was very helpful

I love this place! All of the staff – from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance

were exceptionally helpful and kind This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that’s part of the experience If you don’t want that experience, go to the Marriott The hotel is clean and well maintained The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc The food and service in the restaurant were great Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it’s in the middle of the city

CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! While I’m not one to normally leave a bad review, our stay at the vinoy certainly left a lot to be desired especially given the price At first arrival, we noticed that the hotel was under construction which was not previously disclosed to us The construction was loud and the fitness area was unavailable which was not noted by staff or easily seen on the website (if at all even present) when we booked our room

We were greeted by Susan who was both rude and unprofessional two days in a row So why give it three stars instead of 1? Following these experiences, we did speak to Gabriel the manager who worked to smooth things over The historic hotel is absolutely beautiful even under construction and the accommodations (other than the sound) were great The other staff, specifically Ismail, Marcus, Jimmy, and those at the restaurant went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant Because there was only one “bad apple” and construction was going on, we were encouraged to come back which we will consider because of the people who did enhance our experience

I was here for a conference Wonderful hotel in a nice location in St Petersburg The staff is friendly and nice

The rooms are nice There are two sections: the older original and the newer section While I was here (Mar 2022), the older section had a lot of construction happening I heard they’re updating things to go for a 5 star rating so surely the updates will be worth it

I expected a much better experience At a late night checkin, front desk receptionist argued there’s no way I had a room because they were fully booked After checking, she realized that I did and gave me my key without apologizing! The shower drain in my room was clogged

The safe was not working either To top things off, I found a note in my room saying they will be coming in to upgrade the phone system during the day I called the front desk requesting no one should enter my room in my absence They assured me this won’t happen if I leave the “do not disturb” sign on my door When I returned to my room later that day, I found they had entered and upgraded the phone anyway Finally, I went down to the front desk one night asking if there was a vending machine anywhere, but attendant said “no we don’t have one for guests” I walked away confused thinking “do they have one for staff?” Five minutes later I asked another receptionist who nicely pointed me to the vending machine! I’m not sure about the quality of the training here, especially night shift It’s a shame!
