We felt so relaxed in this beautiful bed and breakfast The decor was modern and chic – it has given us inspiration for decorating our own home We were so impressed with the room! It was bright and cozy and with such stunning views of the surrounding lush garden

The staff members were friendly and helpful Although there were other guests, it was very quiet and calming in the house The lingering smell of essential oils and the house blended lavender and citrus teas were special treats for the senses I especially loved the commitment to sustainability and low environmental impact – it seemed to influence every decision that went in to creating this one of a kind experience

Dreamers Welcome was a DREAM COME TRUE!! Owners Anna & Ross went above and beyond for our group that was staying in downtown Wilmington We were there for a commercial photoshoot on their property for a women’s fashion brand They clearly communicated with me leading up to our stay

Their staff that was there on arrival was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming Anna & Ross even made sure their landscapers came by to freshen up the grounds before we started photography outside! Breakfast was delicious, and we arranged a catered lunch with their private chef who accommodated all of our needs and diets! The mocha brownies were talked about for days after by our group!! All of the rooms are beautiful, clean and well appointed Would absolutely stay here again – GREAT and charming location in downtown Wilmington, very relaxing and enjoyable! Thank you Dreamers team!! Y’all are amazing!!

Aubry Cockrell

This stay was excellent! The room was very clean, the house was quiet, you can come and go as you please; absolutely perfect It is centrally located and takes about a 10 minute walk to get to some of the best restaurants and shops in the city As a young female solo traveler I felt very safe here! I liked the 2 way communication between you and the host as well! 10/10 would recommend and stay here again

Kayla Newcomb

Great location in downtown Wilmington!! They have parking available for guest (not ideal for large vehicles) and it’s a shortly and east walk to downtown shops and restaurants by the riverThe owners/inkeepers are so kind and were so friendly and welcoming Delicious hot breakfast cooked in the morning (with coffee) and are a good resource on local history and nearby recommendations

Spacious and historic interior with good privacy, access to in-room bathroom, fans/AC, and even a mini fridge stocked with water that we could use next to our roomThanks for the great stay on our first trip to Wilmington!

Serban Negoita

Everything is like in the pictures! What the pictures cannot capture is how nice are the hosts, Bob and Trisha! Breakfast was excellent and conversation around breakfast table was even better We stayed for two nights, breakfast items were very different each morning TV sets in the room, something that was not obvious from the pics or the room description

Location is excellent, a short walk to the best restaurants downtown Strongly recommend!

P. G. Rabon

When I travel, I prefer to walk rather than drive as it allows me to see more of the area (sometimes discovering a place I’d have missed if driving) I selected this B&B because it is very close to the riverfront as well as to several historical home tours I walked to stores, restaurants, and attractions fairly easily

The place is very clean, and breakfast is good The owners are friendly and helpful I ended up leaving the night before the day I was scheduled to check out, and they were very concerned about my late night driving, offering me snacks and beverages If I visit Wilmington again, I’ll stay here again

Decent rooms Excellent breakfast Was overcharged for parking and they said they would fix it so we will see

Complimentary drinks at the nightly guest reception are a plus Guest room toilet could have been cleaner The excellent breakfast and complimentary drinks made me not regret booking this particular hotel Overall I would stay there again but would be more careful about the parking situation and would like for them to clean the toilet a little more thoroughly If they did that, it would be perfect

Shannon Stiles

Loved our stay here! Such a historic place They are starting some renovations but our room was lovely Breakfast was wonderful

You really need to take the time to look at all the work that went to this place considering how long ago it was built From the doors, wood working, the imported Italian marble, it makes you wonder what it was like to be to live there in the early 1900sWill def stay again!

renee gleason

This property is being renovated and not serving breakfast We were notified 2 days prior that breakfast would not be served but didn’t realize one whole end of the house was being renovated (gutted) and quite a bit of noise until 5 pm

We had a fire alarm on day two because of an issue at renovation site Fortunately, no fire The staff was very helpful, upgraded our room, which was comfortable, helped with bags, etc Photos of the lovely porch are misleading Ceiling fans falling apart, one corner end has a large wooden structure supporting it Before you visit, make sure renovation is complete

Charles Engbers

We only stayed one night but the room was GREAT! Spacious room and bathroom It’s right in the middle of the historic district and walking distance to the waterfront and many restaurantsIn addition, the room was the same price or cheaper than other local hotels/motels making Graystone a total bargain

Breakfast was included and included several great home-made items made and served by the owner We’ll stay here again for sure Rich was a great host Thank you again Rich and Marcia

This hotel was awesome for my family and I Our room had plenty of space for two adults and two kids ages 11 and 5 The room was clean and beds are comfortable

Anytime I needed extra towels the person at front desk helped with anything we needed They have an indoor pool that the kids loved My daughter and I enjoyed the gym as well I recommend this hotel and would stay here again

elliot deherrera

Got breakfast around 7 all the food was completely cold All the food warmers must have been brokenThe rooms were awesome clean, comfortable, spacious, and the AC actually worked very well

Fix the food issue and everything would be perfect

Jasmarie Livingston

Recently stayed at this holiday inn with my family First off let me start by saying my stay wasn’t bad Breakfast was fine and complimentary the food could have been a lot hotter and a space to heat your cold food could’ve been nice

The pool was decent my kids loved it there was sand inside of the bottom of it but that could be explained by warmed the salt water pool and it was relaxing The room was nice and clean No evidence of bugs or anything like previous reviews The washing and dryer machines were always in use so you guys could use more machines Now I had to use the tub to bathe my small children and the tub itself needs to be scraped and re-caulked Underneath the soap dish holder was a heavy amount of what looked like black mold on several occasions I noticed the maintenance man walking around with a spray bottle labeled mold and a scrub gun I can atleast say they are doing something about it The pillows the mattress made the weeks long stay all worth it after adventuring eastern Carolina area I can say I enjoyed my vacation If needed I will stay at this establishment again! I jus wish the hotel workers had done a better job at making ppl feel welcomed to stay there Special thanks to front desk Scott he was great!

Honestly a steal for the price based on the hospitality alone Stephanie was a great host and within 10 minutes of being there we already knew where to go and what to see The location is awesome, and since they provide a parking pass you can just park in the street and walk most places without any worries

The rest of the staff we dealt with was also super helpful but Stephanie is like the house mother to everyone who comes through, so dope! Thanks for a great couple of days!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property It was my first time staying at a Courtyard The hotel was very quiet and exceptionally clean

We were granted an early check-in which we requested when we booked the reservation Housekeeping comes every other day as stated in the confirmation email prior to checking in We needed additional bath linens and housekeeping was quick to bring them to us They all seemed to be working very hard and were friendlyThe website photos of the king room are accurate so I didn’t bother taking any to add to the reviewThe room has lots of outlets in very convenient locations and I was able to do my hair in front of the mirrored closet door while my husband showeredThe pool is a bit small and can get crowded on the weekends but it was very pleasant when I used it on MondayThe buffet breakfast is very good The guys that run the bistro friendly and helpfulThe hotel is the quietest one I’ve ever stayed at and the air conditioner helps with white noise If you set it low enough it will run all night It doesn’t cycle on and off every 3 minutes like some do at other hotels I slept better than I do at home The bed is super comfortable Because of this, I will try to book at Courtyard properties in the futureThe balcony doors are cloudy as stated in other reviews and this doesn’t make for the best view from inside the room Salt air is hard on things so it may be etching from that or maybe the seal failed but the door worked fine and we enjoyed the balconyEach room has a fridge and there is a microwave and ice machine on each floorThe hotel is located right on the boardwalk but it really wasn’t noisy The music stops about 10pm and it didn’t bother us There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance so once we parked upon arrival, we didn’t use the car again until we leftIf you are looking for a great place to stay at Carolina Beach, this is it

KaraLeigh

This Marriott has all beach view rooms where you can lay in bed & see the ocean from your room or go out on the balcony for even better views🌊 Not the newest or most updated Marriott we’ve been to but the cleanliness, service & dining options made up for it😘 At check-in, we got fantastic recommendations for dining in the area & had a pleasant stay Parking was easy & the hotel is within walking distance to everything you could want to enhance your beach vacation⛱️ The pool looked fun but we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it this time🏊 We look forward to staying here again!

Char J

Giving two stars for the polite employees and location!! The room was not ready when we arrived @4 for check in Waited till 5 still not ready! We had dinner plans with friends so just left and would check in later!! The restroom in lobby was very dirty, thinking they were busy cleaning the rooms so gave them the benefit of the doubt! Well they definitely didn’t clean the room we had!! The shower drain was full of hair, the coffee table had so much dust on the bottom legs that there is No way that thing has been wiped in a month and food crumbs all over the floor! Mentioned it to the gentleman at check out and all he could say was well did you call down! Well at 10 at night when we finally returned to check in I just wanted to sleep after traveling all day! Maybe if the room was ready @ check in time I would have done that! Sorry just clean the rooms! Definitely not up to Marriott standards

Wonderful week at the beach! Location was perfect right on the beach and the boardwalk! The free breakfast was also a great plus The pool was only 4ft deep and easy for the little ones to enjoy without being confined to one small end The pool bar was nice for an evening cocktail while the little ones enjoyed the pool

Kudos to the ladies that prepped the breakfast every morningthey had something for everyonecereal, toast, bagels, 2 make your own waffle stations, scrambled eggs, potatoes, omelets, bacon, sausage and delicious fresh coffee! Stayed here for an air bnb Definitely wouldn’t have stayed had my wife and I not split the price with another couple The location is very convenient for downtown and has a great view of the Battleship with a cute little balcony to sit in/on

Place seemed clean for the most part One of the blankets had some dirt on it where you could tell it hadn’t even properly washed if at all It was cute, really, but definitely overpriced

Marquis Mclean

To place seemed to need a little bit of love, stove light didn’t work, The door keypad kind of just did its own thing always took atleast 3minutes to get into the room because of it, sink drained slow the hallway lights were mismatched I only informed them of the hanging fire alarm and that was the only time I didn’t get a reply other then that it was pretty comfortable

Barb Stoops

i have not stayed at Water Street but was interested Unfortunately, I have not been able to get a response to my questions I tried to email but the email address given is apparently incorrect

I have also called twice and could not immediately get an answer to 2 simple questions They took my phone number and said they would call back Never did This lack of response has made me decide to not pursue a reservation If customer service is this bad, I certainly would not make a reservation

Very nice golf track! Played several times in February Place is well maintained with nice greens (Bermuda), impeccable sand traps, fairways, rough, and tees as you’d want Relatively narrow in many spots, more water than you might want, many greens have a slope away on your approach, so bring your short game! Highly recommend this course!

Dena Dooley

Quiet, but rooms need to be updated We had issues with the toilet and no maintenance on staff Desk clerk left us with a plunger rather than move us to another room

Quick service by maintenance the next morning when the issue recurred Still not fully happy about that whole situation 5 miles from Caroling Beach Boardwalk which was nice Nice quiet pool area only open for guests

Kim Little

Beautiful place with tons of Southern Charm Extremely affordable, private pool for guests only 5 miles from the beach

Wonderful and friendly staff Separate living room with TV and great WIFI Kitchen area had fridge, microwave and coffee maker with coffee and add ins available Bathroom had a double sink and the shower had great water pressure Patio off the back of the room with a beautiful view Nice and quiet, safest location possible Nestled at the back of a subdivion

I visited the Worth House bed and breakfast and was immediately impressed! We were greeted by the owner who helped us with our luggage and gave a tour of the grounds The landscaping is all very well maintained, and the backyard is a great hangout spot after a long day There are lawn games and plenty of seating amongst the flowers and brush

The inside is wonderful as well The house is all very well put together, clean but still keeps the charm of its history The rooms were all spotless and spacious, with plenty of amenities that you would find at any other hotel or any other bed and breakfast We did not get a chance to see or hear the other guests as it was all very private which we appreciated! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and made to order The wine that was provided in the common area was such a nice touch It is very evident that the owners have put a lot of time and effort into running this bed and breakfast Through my conversations with the owner he and his wife care about the area, its history and the guests that stop by This is an amazing option that I would recommend to anyone visiting the Wilmington area

warren collins

Jeff & Jen have done a magnificent job of making the CW Worth House a wonderful destination! All their hard work has resulted in a welcoming, comfortable and beautiful inn that absolutely delighted us! The location is perfect

We took a walk each morning to enjoy the neighborhood’s history (and didn’t come close to seeing it all!), walked to lunch/dinner in the historic downtown and were close to all the tourist activities we wanted to take in Breakfasts were phenomenal! We stayed four nights and had something new and delicious each morning (even our picky eater — not naming names — found breakfast tasty!) Our room had recently been updated and was exquisitely decorated We are already planning our next visit!!!! Dan & Cat

Elizabeth Rutland

My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway a few weeks ago Jeff and Jenn were excellent hosts Jenn’s breakfast was incredible each morning

The Garden room had a lovely makeover and was very clean This was our first stay at a B&B and it was the best experience They are also located very close to Riverfront and all downtown offers We walked downtown each night The Inn was so relaxing and we cannot wait to come back to enjoy more of it!!!

I wanted to love this hotel Fellow guests were great, atmosphere was great Breakfast was awesome, three waffle makers

Three issues – TV didn’t work, the front desk came and fixed it But once I turned the TV off, I couldn’t get it working again in the morning The second issue was the cleanness of the bathroom I have a two hair rule, this bathroom and shower exceeded that by four hairs The third was the glaze on the ottoman in front of the coach Not even going to speculate on that one

Giulia Restrepo

I had a really good experience with this hotel Home2 is always one of my favorite Hilton brands for longer stays since they have a full(ish) kitchen in the rooms The hotel was clean and quiet

The service was great All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful I also love that they are pet friendly, as I was traveling with my cats during a relocation

Meagan G

I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times now, it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, especially for the price! Nice low average cost for what they offer and etc Walking into the room, it smells so fresh and clean and very cute and updated ( you know how some hotels are stuck in the past with their ugly designs lol, not this place! ) , you forget you’re at a hotel! The hotel it’s self is very pretty with a nice seating area The rooms are very spacious and have full body shampoo etc in the glass showers

Has a great variety of hot and cold breakfast items Love the waffle bar! I also like that they over turkey sausage items( I don’t eat pork ) The front desk people have always been so friendly and nice, and I’ve never had an issue! 10/10 would recommend

What a fantastic hotel! I’m a lifetime elite member, but I never assume anything, and rarely ask for anything extra To my complete surprise, we got an upgrade without even asking, fantastic service, and the rooftop tapas bar was fantastic The front desk associates were so helpful every time we had a question, the parking was easy (we chose self-parking), and the location was highly walkable

Everything about this hotel was superlative, and I recommend it highly Great location, fantastic food, just lovely all around!

I stay in Aloft hotels any time I can They are usually a great way to make sure you are in the heart of a city and in walking distance to everything This one is super cute and was made into old mill buildings

Near the water and adorable, with a great outdoor space No pool in this one, and the parking is a little challenging I think my issue here is that the staff are not overly accommodating, where previous Aloft stays they seemed to bend over backwards The valets were the only friendly part, staff wise Great breakfast Comfortable beds

Excellent! Location was great, great night sleep, staff was amazing (Josh) Breakfast was amazing After informing them that we had a great stay, he still asked was there anything they could have done to make it better

As a business owner- this is key Being proactive It takes two seconds, but increases revenue I stayed here on a whim and I’m so glad that I did I’ll be back to visit for sure and I’ll be sharing this location with family and friends as well!

This past Memorial Day I spent the weekend with my family at the Best Western Westgate Property in Leland, NC I have relatives that live in Leland and it has become a routine to stay at the Westgate property every Memorial Day weekend The convenience of the pool, breakfast and proximity to the Walmart makes the property an easy choice, but now we will look for other places to stay for our annual trip

In February I looked up rates for the weekend and found/booked a State Government employee’s rate I work for the District of Colombia government, so I knew I qualified for the rate A week before the trip I called to confirm the reservation and the rep said I was all set However, hours before our arrival on the day of check in, I received a call from the Westgate asking if I was on government detail I was told that unless I could produce details about a work trip, I would have to pay a normal rate I tried to explain that I was a State Government employee and I did not know had to be on work detail I then asked if I could receive a retroactive rate for the weekend and the rep said the manager would call me back Finally, I spoke with the Assistant GM Jennifer Bias, who told me that I could not receive retroactive rate I asked her if I they could grant a day off the total and she suggested (in an extremely snarky tone) that I only stay 2 days instead of 3 I explained to her that I should have been informed early in the week about the rate requirements, when I called to confirm We had driven 6 hours from DC and were essentially helpless with a 4 year child, with every other hotel booked At this point, My wife and I were highly bothered with the customer service and tone of Ms Bias But before we got off the phone, I let Ms Bias know that we wanted to keep the reservation but we were calling Customer RelationsWhen we called Customer Relations, we found out that Management at the Westgate had cancelled 2 days of our trip Meaning we would have to find another place to stay, because Customer Relations also informed us that the Westgate Property had been completely booked for the weekend So you can imagine how stressful this experience was with a toddler, driving over 6 hours from DC When Customer Relations attempted to reach out to inquire about why Westgate Management cancelled 2 days, Jennifer Bias was in an interview and could not be reached When we finally arrived at the Westgate property, the front desk gentleman told me that Customer Relations had cancelled the two days and they would have to reinstate the days At this point we did not care about the expensive rate they were quoting us and just needed a place to stay Customer Relations finally got in contact with Jennifer Bias and she claimed that she had no idea how our rooms were cancelled Customer Relations was extremely apologetic and even sent us a 50 dollar check for all of the incontinenceAs a loyalty member, I felt we should have received more tact and been handled with a more care I know your company is a big business and losing one customer does not make or break your organization, but my family and I will no longer spend our money at your hotels

Chris Smith

Great staff, clean facilities and rooms! What more could we ask for? The breakfast was great and just enough to hit the spot as it’s a full hot breakfast The ONLY thing I could complain about would be the type of toilet seat in our room It looked like a potty training seat for a toddler on a regular toilet… not sure what they were thinking when making this choice as it’s not too suitable for guys to sit on as there’s no space… however again, that’s the only negative thing and certainly not worth knocking a star, just worth mentioning so hopefully they can change it in the future

We will definitely choose this hotel to stay in the future as it’s only a 12 minute drive to downtown Wilmington so you don’t have to pay the upcharge to stay downtown or in Wilmington Kudos to this location!

I can’t speak on the average night stay, however we recently had our wedding there and if I could scream it to any bride considering having their event there I would beg her to turn around and run From the beginning after the contract was signed it was nearly impossible to get responses from our event Coordinator, and if we had multiple questions after a week we may get one response and still have to follow up with the other questions Trying to schedule our detail appointment took almost a month of back and forth and having to reschedule because of all the lack of communication

We did an all inclusive package but I immediately regretted not being able to outsource services as I got about the same response from the florist included Although my flowers turned out beautiful they were nothing like I had asked for or shown The signage was also wrong the day of, and my mother in law tried to have it corrected but was told nothing could be changed without the sales coordinator who wasn’t in yet, so the signs stayed incorrect which led to guests entering late on the ceremony The day of the wedding my event coordinator didn’t contact me all day to where an hour before the wedding I had to reach out to her to ask her what the plan was and in the end I missed my entrance due to being left in a separate room and ended up having to run to my entrance late, fluster disheveled Not a single decent picture was taken of me walking down the isle She left maybe 30 minutes into the reception, where we had to constantly ask the kitchen staff for assistance with anything I will say the food was amazing and the kitchen staff was so friendly and accommodating to help us the rest of the evening so they’re really the only reason I didn’t give a one star The baker that was used was also wonderful, the cake was exactly what we talked about and the communication was quick and professional All in all the venue is beautiful and the food is amazing, but do not hold an event there!

I enjoyed the locate and the view from the hotel There were some surprising details like no coffee machine in my room, and the conditioner container was empty, no microwave With the luxury price of the room I wished that there was a little more attention to detail

It felt as though it was a old hotel aiming for a face-lift Outside of that the staff was so kind, beautiful restaurant and in walking distance to downtown

Delicia Pinero

My experience here was excellent Mrs Erica at the front desk showed exceptional customer service and professionalism! We told her we were visiting from Texas and she made sure that everything was lined up for us

She went above and beyond and I will never forget her kindness after a long, hard trip The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice I will definitely be back

Very tasteful, modern and clean decor You can not beat the location; downtown, by the river walk yet serene and peaceful Loved the small touches that set a part a small boutique hotel compared to others Everything was 5 star worthy

I meant to write this last week, but I forgot My parents and myself were looking for a last minute hotel in Wilmington last weekend…on a Saturday

Everywhere decent was $200+! Super long story short, my mother and I were very indecisive and went back and forth from this hotel three times before deciding to stay At one point, we got as far as almost swiping our card for our rooms! We worked with Brandon each time He was incredibly professional and accommodating and didn’t get upset at all when we kept changing our minds There is no way that I could’ve done that! He understood and was very patient With all the pricing being so high, the reason that we chose to stay here was because of our experience with Brandon! He is just awesome! We had a great experience!

Had a long workday and check in went just fine My room was cleaned without me even asking That was a surprise, they even made my bed for me 🙂 Also this place is in a nice location, it has a Starbucks nearby as well as restaurants and a few shops

The room was clean, smelt nice and wonderfully decorated There were a few dings on the wall but no big deal 🙂

Never again It was not worth my time and money I stayed at the Hampton Inn catty corner to the Courtyard and I will return there and not here

I honestly wish a refund was possible but I doubt that’s something they will doEverything was sub par Showers were disgusting There was dust on the furniture and desks The sheets had stains There was like only two large bathroom towels The ceiling had water damage and what appeared to maybe be mold? Sure there was no sign of bed bugs but everything else was disgustingThe air conditioning was outdated and struggled to keep the room cold so it just ran loudly all nightThe beds like an old mattress that was sagging in odd spots and too worn to be comfortableThe coffee maker in the room was disgusting and unclean A gross oil film was on the water wellWhile I got along fine with the staff, I could see how people wouldn’t Very ‘casual’ and I can tell if you weren’t buddy buddy they wouldn’t be kindThe “food” was obnoxiously pricedIn general For the absurd price you pay for the stay— the quality is zeroLike I said, I will not be returning and will be staying at the other hotel I regret wasting my time and money that I will never get back

Margaret Perara

Very nice hotel The location is perfect for checking out the downtown scene I took a nice stroll along the waterfront not far (maybe two blocks) from the hotel

The ladies at the check-in were super friendly and helpful Korea had some great recommendations of where to go eat that were spot on The hotel has a nice pool Any issues I had were resolved quickly I would stay here again

Elizabeth Sarrazin

The worst hotel experience my husband and I have ever had and we travel quite a bit Hair that wasn’t ours on the bathroom floor when we arrived to our “clean” room Requested soap twice and never received it

They were out of clean towels when we needed some on the third day of our stay We requested our room be serviced twice and continued to return to an unserviced room Finally after the last request (on day 4), housekeeping barged into our room without knocking We asked her to leave three times and rather than honoring our request, she continued to point fingers at the front desk and her colleagues for their poor service Never apologized My husband went to share this with the front desk and she was complaining very loudly about our interaction in the main lobby to her colleagues The front desk attendant also pointed fingers at her colleagues Finally gave my husband her manager’s name My husband called the manager and left a voicemail He called back immediately and then hung up Have not heard from them since We booked another hotel room for our last night in Wilmington because it was such a horrible experience Do not stay here
