Quaint and extremely convenient to little shops and places to eat in Lewes We literally walked to a nearby pavilion to listen to a live band after dinner The hotel itself had the feel of old, classic, beach

There were beautiful fresh flowers and the staff were friendly and professional The room itself (we reserved the last available) was a nice size, corner – very clean It could have easily accommodated a king bed, but had a queen in it That being said, the bed was very comfortable with good pillows and bedding – very important to us It had an interior cooling unit which I normally do not prefer, but this one was fairly quiet and did not distract The TV was in a cabinet and quite small, but since we were not there to watch TV, we didn’t care Our friends were in a different room with a king bed, big TV, and nice balcony – we would try to reserve that room type for a future, long trip The bathroom was traditional without issue The morning breakfast appeared to offer what we would enjoy, but since we had breakfast plans elsewhere, we did not partake Overall, we liked this hotel and would return

We had often seen the Inn and when we reviewed it online it looked wonderful We were disappointed! Our room on the 4th floor was dated or out-dated! The room smelled musty The rugs did not appear to be clean

The furniture was old and was not inviting because it looked dirty The mattress was one of the worst ever and yet the bedding gave a great appearanceThe continental breakfast was fine and had a lot of varietyUnfortunately, we would not recommend the Inn as it did not meet the expectations we have come to expect!

We just spent our anniversary weekend here, and overall, it was wonderful I’d mentioned when booking that it was for our anniversary, and to celebrate us, they brought a surprise complimentary bottle of wine and fruit and cheese board to our room, which was awesome The staff was friendly and helpful

The room was clean, and the view was lovely The fitness room was nice (definitely appreciated the free water bottles in the mini fridge there), and the soaking pool was great We had breakfast at Victoria’s one of the mornings, and the food was delicious Overall, we had a great time and great experience We’d definitely stay again

You pay A LOT for this place!!! It’s a 4 star hotel conveniently located on the boardwalk at Rehoboth beach but you pay a pretty penny Be aware that you pay a pretty hefty occupancy tax daily per person!!! On top of your daily rate! Room service was not that great Would not clean the floors in the rooms or they wouldn’t give you enough towels for everyone

I had to ask for everything every day or get it myself! The good service was the restaurant, Victoria’s that’s part of the hotel when you dine in or in room And you automatically get charged 18% gratuity for room service from the restaurant I have paid less for a 5 star hotel with better service The location is what you pay for Also has a small indoor/outdoor heated pool They have a lot of parrots in their lobby and sometimes you have to scream and talk over the parrots in order to speak to anyone in the front desk!

The room was amazing we got the deluxe suit with hot tub in our room so relaxing The restaurant was fancy & food was amazing We had a very welcoming experience everyone was really nice & polite, definitely a relaxing atmosphere definitely recommend this hotel

I loved all the different exotic birds they had in the lobby of the hotel, also you could hold a few of them and they would climb up on your shoulder Really great experience definitely plan on returning in the future

Just stayed here for the long weekend with my wife and 2 college age sons We have been coming to Cape May for years but it was out first time here but we will be back This is by far the most affordable place I saw in Cape May

The pool is great and they are casual about people around the pool What I mean is that me and my family sat out and played cards one night at a table next to rhe pool and that was fine with them whereas other places would have likely told us we could not be out by the pool But it was a super quiet place — no real noise after 10 pm The people were great including Tony, Jamie and Louise All nice and helpful As to the rooms, they must have updated the beds pretty recently as they were very comfortable Maybe they could think about some other updating but this place is a quiet and affordable gem

I was so excited to finally get away after all of the covid craziness I booked 2 nights at this hotel and mistakenly chose the wrong dates as I was supposed to go the following week I realized the morning of that I had the wrong dates so I contacted the hotel

The gentleman who answered said that this was a non modification, non refundable reservation As I knew this already I explained that it was basic human error and to please accept the modification as theres no way we can make it He then said that there’s nothing he can do and I would have to go through the 3rd party, agoda which would be responsible for this as this was their policy After contacting agoda through their chat and customer service email, they said that the hotel would not allow to change, this was the hotel’s decision, not theirs He could have done something and changed the dates but lied and said it was out of his hands We simply asked for a change of dates not a refund, even knowing that we have to pay more since the following week was more expensive It just saddens me that a company has no heart and doesn’t care to help others I know this hotel still has plenty of rooms for next week and still did not care to assist and lied to us We spent hours on the phone through the 3rd party company trying to blame them when in fact it was the hotel itself that was not allowing the change but didn’t tell us that of front I would never stay in a hotel like this where they do not care at all about their customers They lied and made us waste time going back-and-forth Again, I understand their policy but there are times where there are emergencies and situations that should be regarded There was no regard for us at all, just pure selfishness on the hotel side

Great in every way If you want a peaceful place to stay right in the very heart of everything that is walkable in the town of Lewes, this is the place Everything, including restaurants, shopping etc is just outside the door of the hotel

The staff here is top notch, pleasant and answers all your questions Rooms are very clean, well taken care of This is an older building so the rooms are, as they say, just big enough Nice parks and places to walk around Even the beach is only about a 15 min walk across the canal Places close early in the evening so plan accordingly Keeps it peaceful and quiet unlike the typical shore town Read up on the parking so you don’t have issues You really can ditch the car while here

Our stay at Hotel Rodney was perfect! Barbara at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating We looked everywhere for a place to stay and ended up parking in downtown Lewes We saw Hotel Rodney and decided to pop in to see if there were any rooms available- and there was a perfect room for us! Barbara helped us get settled and recommended places to eat

This is a 5 star rating on a 2 star hotel If you keep that in mind you won’t be disappointed This was our first time staying here as our usual choice was fully booked

We only stayed 1 night for a quick trip just to get in some beach time The room, standard king on the 3rd floor, was clean, the hotel staff were friendly and the location can’t be beat being 2 blocks from the beach There is a mention of a beach shuttle however it wasn’t running the day we were there There is a free hot breakfast, croissants, scrambled eggs and bacon, plus boxed cereal and packaged danish served in a clean brightly lit dining area We would stay here again for quick trips

Angie

This place is awful Paper thin walls, rude staff Even the Starbucks coffee that they have that they make a big deal of was terrible

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhereWe booked this hotel for a weekend couples trip Terrible experience We were given a room at the end of a long dirty walkway, underneath a stairwell There was trash all over the entrance way to our room There was a construction dumpster in front of our room and construction trash being thrown from the floor above us into the dumpster There was trash all over the parking lot in front of our room too We walked in the room and the room was extremely noisy due to the extremely thin walls We could hear people going up and down the stairs and the noise from the construction workers ( not blaming the construction workers, they were just doing their job) My husband walked to the front office and explained the noise and dirt issues and asked for a different room, even offering to take a smaller room The front desk woman was extremely rude First she said the construction workers were not “that noisy” Then she said they were all booked up and had no other rooms available Then she said that since we had gone into the room that we had contaminated the room so we could not switch rooms Then the manager came out and said if he did not like the room then she would refund the money and “you can just go home then” Once he told me how rude she was and what she had said, I called around and found us a room elsewhere When we went to the front desk to tell them we were leaving, they did not want to refund us After they had just told my husband they would Absolute clowns Finally they refunded us Silver lining is we ended up at a nicer hotel in a 2 room suite, 2 blocks closer to the oceanfront

This place was a nice hotel, but there are a lot of cons to go along with itFirst the pros:The beds are very comfortable and we had no trouble getting a good nights sleep in themThey offer complimentary breakfast and it is very good

The chef works very hard and he was there every day of our stay He was very nice and friendly and always made sure everything was stockedThe hotel also let us check in early as we arrived about an hour ahead of schedule The rooms are clean and quietFinally, it’s within reasonable walking distance to the beach and boardwalk Takes about 15 minutes to walk thereFor the cons:Their parking is absolutely terrible The parking garage is very compact and if you bring a pickup you have no chance of finding parking in their garageThey also don’t enforce their parking permits and have a limited number of spots I had to park on the street one night because all spaces were full When asked if there were enough spots for each room, they said yes I then told them that there wasn’t any spots available and they said that they would have to go and find who doesn’t have their permit displayed and check license plates They didn’t want to do this and advised me to park on the street for the night Which was fine, but really?! I paid $1700 for a week here, I expect a parking spotThe price leads me to the next con They do not offer room service You have to put your towels and trash outside the door and then go down to the front desk and ask for replacement bags/towels Not that big of deal, but this isn’t included for $1700 a week?!!! Really?Additionally, they charge you a $150 PER NIGHT “resort fee” 🙄 Guess they aren’t happy enough with $1700Also, their TVs are terrible Poor picture quality and small (32”) While the point of vacation isn’t to watch TV, it’s nice to watch when going to bed again for 1700 per guest per week at least upgrade your TVsI would probably not stay here again unless we got a much better rate Again, it’s a nice hotel, but there are a lot of annoyances that come along with it

We had a very nice family stay here All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and professional Tim, the bartender was hilarious and helpful

The man who drove the shuttle to the beach was very kind to my kids The whole vibe of the place was relaxing and the fact they have 2 pools (one for kids) is a nice touch Our family suite was spotless No it is not cheap but if you are willing to splurge I doubt there is a better hotel in Rehoboth Beach

G

This is such a lovely, clean, comfortable, non-corporate hotel and spa, with a terrific staff, specifically Erica, who went out of her way to make our little weekend getaway/escape so memorable and fantastic! Clearly, Erica knows how to treat her guests with nothing shy of the utmost respect and courtesy Delicious hot breakfast (included), very clean rooms, beds, sheets, towels etc, and conveniently located in the heart of it all

Highly recommended, and quite reasonably priced to boot We will return with 100% certainty A+++++

The Hotel itself is great It’s common spaces are beautiful, the grounds are lovely, the location is perfect, and the staff was great The spa was a welcome addition

My gripe was with the room and some of the amenities I paid an exorbitant amount for a two night stay in a junior suite Which is basically the equivalent of an oversize room with a wet bar and a jacuzzi tub You could tell that these rooms were upgraded in the past to achieve a higher level of clientele I have a feeling this was some time ago as a lot of things required maintenance The layout of my room seemed to be poorly laid out and was an incredible waste of space I have a feeling this is as a result of trying to cram a program into an existing hotel The finishes were dated, and the toilet rocked There’s no housekeeping unless it is specifically requested, they clean once you leave My biggest gripe is the wifi At $700 a night I’d expect the wifi to work Once the evening hit it was impossible to connect I suspect it was do to traffic on the system That’s a fairly easy upgrade, that should be a no brainer for a high end hotel As a professional I also had issue with the stair door at the first floor level near the dining room The door was missing hardware This is a code violation Stair doors, according to the building code, are required to close and latch to protect the occupants in the shaft in the event of a fire emergency The door could not latch, because it had no hardware The lack of attention to routine maintenance was kind of a bummer, I’d expect more for what it costs I’d go back to Rehoboth, I don’t think I’d pay the amount of money I paid to stay at the Bellmoor again Maybe if it were at a severely reduced rate I feel like we could have done better for what it costs, but I could be wrong

We had a great stay The staff was friendly and efficient when checking in Our room was very very clean (and I am picky)

The included in the room were all exactly what we needed Microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, wine opener and cups The room size was nice The fireplace was needed for the damp May weather this year The bed was comfortable and parking was perfect So many restaurants within walking distance Would definitely recommend staying here

thomas burns

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed Staff is friendly and service was first rateRoom was large, plenty of room (we travel a lot, and one thing i cannot stand is hotel room claustrophobia lol) and very well appointed

Comfortable bed and furnishings, bathroom was huge and well laid out Fireplace was a very nice touch Location was excellent also; very close to everything; easy to get to alsoHotel staff is very knowledgeable about the area as well10/10, highly recommend and WILL stay there again!!!!

Mark Ratzlaff

Great location

just a few minutes’ walk from tons of great little shops and restaurants The rooms are large and *beautiful* and perfectly clean; the fantastic staff knows each room individually and will recommend the best one for your needs The bathrooms are large, with unique lighting under the translucent sinks that made perfect “nightlights” We appreciated the separate “water closet”Sadly, the bed was the hardest piece of furniture in the room the wife ended up on the couch The wifi was slow when I could connect at all my phone seems ok with it, but it refused to talk to my notebook at all The few electrical outlets are mostly already in use; I unplugged the clock so I could charge my phone

Hopkins Heartland will forever hold a special place in our heart It is hard for us to find the words to accurately describe what our wedding weekend meant to us From the beautiful venue, to Ingrid & Corrine and the amazing staff, to all the incredible vendors that made our wedding day ‘perfectly’ us, it was simply the best

It is actually hard for me to believe you can visit this place and not end up getting married there With the help of Hopkins Heartland and our amazing caterer, Greater Good Events, we were able to make the weekend our own That is one of the beautiful things about the farm, it is a blank canvas if you want it to be Ready for you to envision the day exactly how you want itFirst and foremost, you will not get a better venue owner than Ingrid We booked our wedding date 2 years in advance and during that time, Ingrid kept improving and adding additional benefits without increasing the cost Also, she is just an incredible human being that truly cares about her couples, the farm and the surrounding Lewes, DE community Second, THE WEDDING WEEKEND Enough said you get the farm from Thursday to Sunday AND can invite others to stay as well (as there are 4 total rooms w/ bathrooms) This allowed us to arrive on Thursday and get settled in so we could spend more time with our family and friends We also chose to have our rehearsal dinner there (another added plus)! Cue BBQ food truck (shout out to J&B Grilling!) and an amazing relaxed setting We pulled some of the farmhouse tables out into the courtyard, threw some beer in coolers and we were ready to go On the day of, you are already onsite so no rushing around and no stress We had hair and makeup come to the farmhouse with my bridesmaids and everyone was able to get ready and relax in the farmhouse before the ceremony Ceremony by the bridge, cocktail hour in the courtyard, reception in the barn to follow The next morning my husband and I woke up, grabbed some coffee and sat on the front porch in the rocking chairs watching the sunrise and laughing about the night before We felt like we were at home at Hopkins HeartlandIf you are looking for a wedding weekend with a barn by the beach, look no further Our family and friends are still talking about our wedding 4+ months later It is a weekend by husband and I will be forever grateful for and we have incredible pictures and memories that will last a lifetime We are just sad we aren’t able to do it all over again next year!

Steph Clavijo

Robert and I could not have imagined a more beautiful venue, or more hardworking staff Ingrid and Corrine were very organized and had tons of recommendations from the very start The amount of help we received on the wedding day was outstanding, we cannot thank everyone enough

All of our guests commented on how beautiful the Honey Bee Venue was, inside and out! If we could do it over again, we would do everything just the same!Thank you so much Ingrid, Corrina & Staff

Robert Miele

I attended a wedding at Hopkins Heartland and it’s a beautiful venue for a wedding However the Barn area where the reception was held was very warm

they had a few free standing fans but their ceiling fans were not on? Not sure why they weren’t turned on to help circulate the air The food caterer needs some help with coordinating the food and cleaning up salad plates prior to the main meal I would definitely recommend the venue for a wedding

The Residence Inn in Rehoboth Beach provided an exceptional experience Beautiful modern decor The fire pit is amazing this time of year; and conveniently located outside of the hotel bar which is great for smokers

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs The size of the sitting area in our suite is one aspect I wasn’t too happy with It was impossible to walk around the bed once you deploy the pull out couch Our kitchenette didn’t include an oven either which was listed in the amenities when I booked online However, I do believe some suites include a full kitchen area My advice is to call and confirm with the desk after making an online reservation to ensure your room has everything to fit your needs Other than that, this hotel has a laundry area, a tasty complimentary breakfast and so much more! Use the Bonvoy Marriott app for added perks ,like chatting with the front desk and no contact check-in Turns your phone into a key to access the many amenities within the property which is beyond convenient!

Our room was very much a standard hotel room – very comfortable and exactly the space we needed (and the VIEW! We loved loved loved the ocean view) What we loved about this hotel, though, were the people

This trip was a big deal for us because it was our first trip away from home with our baby I want to give a shout-out to Torey, who not only eased my mind when I called in advance about a crib setup for our daughter, but talked me through options once we arrived about where I could store her bottles most safely (the mini fridge in the room turned out to work great, but he was so considerate and understanding of what we needed to make sure our baby girl had a great vacation, too)Also, do yourself a favor and order some of the chocolate cake from the hotel restaurant It was such a delicious treat after a long day of exploring the areaOcean Club is definitely worth a stay! Thanks, Ocean Club team, for a great experience!

A War

Penthouse just means top floor don’t let yourself believe it might be fancy There was only one very narrow and aged elevator We had to wait for two separate families to descend from our floor before we were able to fit

I saw another reviewer mention how uncomfortable the beds were and that they woke up with neck pains, and honestly none of the four of us slept very well either we kept waking up to fidget with our pillows and adjust our bodies The private beach had chairs and a single umbrella set up for you but it was so incredibly packed in that you can’t enjoy the sounds of the ocean over all of the conversations around you If you experience sensory overload this is your warning it’s incredibly loud and overlapping and stressful We were charged $720 (plus $100 in taxes for Jersey) so we assumed it might be very nice, for a very narrow room with only two chairs to sit in and when someone sat in a chair you could not walk around them so you ask them to stand or clamber over the bed We couldn’t play the card game we brought because there was no table or open space to gather It was very difficult to maneuver around the room because of the narrow walk space so if you have any accessibility problems or a bigger body I advise you to reconsider Room did not come with a fridge for that price in case you thought to bring creamer for your keurig, and bathroom was even smaller What’s interesting is there wasn’t even a curtain rod to hang your bathing suits or beach towels over, working space was very limited for the price I don’t advise you hanging things over the balcony either due to the ocean breeze so it ended up in a wet pile on the floor We only had maybe 3 outlets in the entire room, in a lamp we couldn’t charge unless the light was on, a floor lamp, and I believe one in the bathroom Distance to the beach was great Staff working at the hotel were very kind and welcoming The room itself was a huge detractor from the experience

Exceeded expectations Incredible staff works diligently to cater to your family Exceptionally clean and updated

Private beach with chair/towel service Honestly, simply perfect Pool feels like you’re at a Caribbean resort Private ample parking Pillows could be better but that’s if I’m searching for a complaint Will definitely be back again and again Highly recommend!!!

Fine in a pinch, but not my first choice On the plus side the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable enough and all the kitchen appliances worked (And it had a kitchenette

)In the debit column, half the plugs didn’t work (a surprisingly common hotel problem) the bathroom sink was slightly clogged and something set off my allergies the first night (Second night was okay)

We found this hotel last minute after a checking into a near by hotel that was not goodThe staff at this hotel was extremely accommodating The hotel itself is clean and the well maintained

The pool was crystal clear and refreshing The room was large, smelled clean and looked clean Everyone that worked there went out of their way to make the visit pleasantThe location is close to the beaches but also local restaurants and bars if you don’t want to go into Rehoboth beach front We had a balcony that faced RT 1 and during the day there was some road noise but if you shut the balcony door it was quiet and we never woke up by any soundWe will definitely be back

What a great hotel & great staff all day everyday of our stay! Everything was clean, bottles of water, cookies & apples were complimentary all dayThe room has every thing you may need to enhance your stay The only thing that didn’t work was the toaster

I requested another one & it was promptly brought up to the room, however, it produced too much smoke to be used in a hotel room right under the sprinkler, lolThank you to everyone on duty 4/5 – 4/7 front desk, housekeeping & maintenance!

About a 10 min drive to the beach which we loved Rooms are very clean and cute the hotel had a great selection for breakfast overall we enjoyed the stay The reason I dnt give it 5 stars is because our refrigerator was not working so I could not keep my beverages cold

And also the mattress was not the best the size was good but it was not comfortable Digital check in was a plus

The hotel it’s self was awesome Came down to Spread my mothers ashes with my sister Everything was perfect

As we thought, I was double charged, i called the front desk to have it resolved Ms Bobbie was absolute nightmare she was nasty from the beginning to end She clearly doesn’t know how to speak to a customer The issue was that Hilton had double charged, claiming that they hadn’t got the funds from bookingcom, so that allowed them to charge my other card without authorization She constantly cut me off, talked down to me, threaten that her manager was right there ( which i cant believe the manager allowed her to speak to a customer like that ) and hung up the phone on me after i simply asked her did it get refunded? In the end, i received a call left me know that I am getting refund from Hilton it was a mess and honestly embarrassing for the company to have an employee like that representing them I filed a compliment with Hilton & Booking I truly hope this a learning experience for Ms Bobbie
